I have DEFINITELY brought this up before but:

Why is it that when I type into a search bar “how to remove myself from parents insurance age 18″ what comes up is how I can stay on until I’m 26??? Like yes I’m aware Susan the point is I need to come OFF of their insurance.

I don’t know what would happen if I just. Didn’t address the insurance issue at all and cut contact anyway, but I don’t want any loose ends when I leave this place. I really don’t want to pretend to be my mom on the phone to the insurance company we get through my dad’s job, because they will 100% ask my dad what’s up with that and. No thank you. I’m trying to keep the lies to a minimum because I’m a shit liar and I don’t wanna cross legal lines here.

I need to obtain my medical records and my prescription before I leave, I know that, but I can do that without anyone alerting my parents. Insurance is trickier. I don’t know what to do. What if after I leave my parents don’t take me off the plan? What happens when I change my name? Can they use the information the company has to track me down?

I’m so scared and confused. It’s a long shot asking but has anyone else been in a similar situation and can offer advice?
