Drop By-Arthur Shelby x Male!reader

Requested: Yes by annon

Prompt: A close friend who likes to come over unannounced with food in hand.

A/N: This is my first time writing a malexmale imagine. Please be gentle with me.

Y/N had never been one to care much for others. The Lord knows he had about 6 other gremlins under his care back home. Having to care for another would just be exhausting. But something about the way Arthur's eyes would glaze over and look into the distance squeezed his heart. Y/N had been a close friend of the Shelby family for years. Growing up next door and not having any fear of stepping on another's toes-metaphorically speaking- is what allowed Y/N to maintain close relations with the Shelbys.

While Y/N was close with the Shelby's it was always Arthur they leaned on the most. When Y/N father bailed and his mother died, he was left as the sole guardian of six children of varying ages and attitudes. The number of times Y/N thought of running away was numerous, but Arthur always reminded him of how much he would regret that decision. So it is only fair that Y/N takes care of Arthur in the same way Arthur took care of him. In his own way of course.

"Here." Y/N placed a container filled with food onto the bar counter, startling Arthur who had been in the middle of a heated discussion with another man, who was clearly too shitfaced to have a conversation.

"Wh-what's this?" Arthur snuffed out his cigarette and stared down at the container.

"You too drunk to see?" Y/N quipped.

Arthur howled, "Not drunk enough, unfortunately." Arthur grinned boyishly and peered at Y/N's disgruntled face. "Come on, doodle"-a ridiculous nickname Arthur came up with when they were 13 and all Y/N liked to do in class was doodle on paper-"I know it's food. But you've been coming by an awful lot, plus how do you always find me?"

Y/N's nose twitched- a sign he was getting annoyed- "Easy. I followed the sound of a man with rocks for brains. it's surprisingly loud"

Arthur shook his head and laughed, "It's a good thing I've known you all my life."

"Sounds unfortunate for me."

Y/N quick wit had a way of throwing people off guard. Even more so when he consistently managed to insult someone, intentionally. But not Arthur. Arthur who always took it in stride and laughed at the unique remarks that left Y/N lips. Y/N often wondered what it would take for Arthur to abandon him. But Y/N was also certain he never wanted to reach that point.

He nodded towards the food, "Eat. You look as if the wind will blow you away."

With that said, Y/N turned to leave as he always did, quickly and abruptly. But not before his ears turned red.

Arthur's lips turned and his eyes appraised Y/N lean form, "Oh, I wouldn't mind if something else blew me."

Last series: I'm rewatching Trollhunters and it's funny cuz I was the same age as them at the beginning when I first watched it and now I'm the same age as them nearer the end

Last Movie: Encanto, again

Sweet, savoury or spicy: hmmmmm. Ill say sweet stuff? I run off of sweets and chaos. I like spicy stuff too, but I don't appreciate someone put a chilli in my mouth without telling me it was a chilli and laughing at my suffering cough cough youknowwhoyouare cough cough

Currently working on: I got a kids book about expressions I'm making for my EPQ at school so there's that. Honestly I've had loads of school work and I've finally adjusted to the sudden change in amount of work (kinda why I disappeared from everywhere for a bit) and I have time to do things again so I've not started anything.......yet >:D Oh but I have been drawing a few Minecraft skins again! Other then that is little doodles of Alex and the crew (I got a pack of 10 sketchbooks for like £3 so I have loads of space for doodles!!)

I also got a crochet book and whatnot for birthday/Christmas so I'm trying learn how to make bees without the looking like they got hit in the face with a frying pan lol
