By Morgan Mandriota
Medically reviewed by Danielle Wade, LCSW

The holidays are hyped up to be “the most wonderful time of the year.” And for some, they are. But the pressure to be merry and jolly alongside the rest of the world becomes extra heavy when you feel anything but that.

In my most natural state on this Saturday morning...natural hair, no makeup... For starters, I didn’t want to get my ass up this morning to work out....dreading the dreaded LEG DAY and cardio. But I did and while I may be sore, I feel great! Also, this week alone, I lost another 4 pounds. Whatever I did this week, I gotta keep doing. Small celebration today and back to the grind to reach my goals! I know it’s a long journey, but for once, I’m sticking to my word and hopefully by the new year, I’ll be where I want to be. Happy Saturday everyone 😊 #happysaturday #saturdaymorning #allnatural #workout #legday #cardio #beachbodyondemand #weightloss #goals #keeppushing #happygirl #icanbestrong #picoftheday #photooftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/B11egI8J2hn/?igshid=1lp32sqnu8k6w

A New Page
When I love you. I always hoping that someday, we will together. And face the whole world, standing next to each other. But now, I'm here alone. Facing the whole world without you by my side.
Having the hardest time. To realize that you would never be there waiting me when I walked trough the aisle.
This is a new page in my life. The one that I should write. Without you on it.
A new page. A new future. A new life.

Saying No: Strategies for Facing Peer Pressure
Saying No: Strategies for Facing Peer Pressure
By Hillary Boles
In 1984, then-First Lady Nancy Reagan was on a routine school visit to Longfellow Elementary School in Oakland, California. A young student asked Reagan what she should do if a peer ever offered her drugs. Reagan’s answer became a rallying cry for an entire generation– “Just say no.”
Of course, that simple answer comes from a position of privilege. The “just” in the response…

How to Admit When You’re Lonely

Feeling lonely can make you feel unlikeable or weird, or like someone others just don’t want to be around. It can be difficult to admit when we’re lonely, even to ourselves. When someone asks how we’re doing, we often tell them “we’re fine.”
Admitting we…

The Power of the Opposite Compliment
The Power of the Opposite Compliment
By Izzy Kalman, MS, NCSP
Let’s say we’re kids, and you’re looking to have fun at my expense by insulting me. What can I say to stop you? This is one of the common concerns of anti-bullying advisers, as insults are by far the most common form of bullying among kids. And though they’re just words, they can make kids absolutely miserable and even drive them to suicide.
There are actually many…
