Sunday, August 27th

Hello everyone! I'm back. I have been pretty much gone because I was in vacation but we are back. Started school two weeks ago and it's kinda crushing me but it's okay because I passed the first and only filter for sec gen of my school's mun. Please wish me good luck! I have nothing to do for tomorrow as I finished all my hw on Friday, but I do want to know if you guys want any type of new content or dynamics <3 Remember that my ask box is always open!

In my opinion, in a solarpunk future, education about the environment should be mandatory in a good school system. This is why we do this , this is why we started doing this, etc. Today I heard my Theory of Knowledge teacher say that he doesn't believe that human beings directly affect climate change. Because I study environmental science I know that's simply not true.

Studying environmental science would teach so many people that all the systems of the earth are so interconnected. For me, that made me more aware that my choices had so many widespread impacts on many areas. I wasn't so passionate about the environment before I took this subject and it has made me think differently.

Other than this, I think indigenous or cultural knowledge should also be taught along with this. I think a lot of people in the solarpunk community know that if we do want to make an impact working with indigenous people is a good method. I was reading Braiding Sweetgrass and it's so noticeable that the way we see everything is influenced by a cultural perspective.

Either way, greater education about the environment is so, so important.

Currently on the home stretch of my exams, I wouldn't say they're going really well but they're over which at this point is the most important thing I guess :))

Also went to the library yesterday and crammed the final chapter for my biology exams today and I'm really hoping for the multiple choice paper to save me haha.

I studied math today. What I've finished today:

Sampling and Data

Statistics

Sets and Venn Diagrams

Right angled triangle trigonometry (almost done)

I was actually able to study all day without being distracted by my phone! In the afternoons, I'm usually so tired it's easier to get distracted and I can't focus much. I decided to try and take a nap today, and then left for a walk, it helped me feel better and just more satisfied.

On the other hand, I wish my family would just shut up. I do not like hearing constant arguing in the background.

The study leave starts tomorrow and I'm so nervous! But trying my best is all that matters in the end.

hello, loves

good morning! happy weekend!

this morning has gone smoothly so far, but the weather is still sad and rainy. storm and flood warnings were issued yesterday, so my parents are making me stay home.

yesterday my brother and i played in the pouring rain. it was super run and i felt so little and carefree. one of the reasons i hear people say "get out of the rain!" is that it will make you sick, but we wore our swimmers and i had a warm shower afterwards. just because it has the potential to make you sick does not mean that you have to avoid it. you just have to be smart.

it's 6:43am now, and i have been up since 5. i've done a bunch of contextual research for my english ct2a. this term the book i'm focusing on is 'the hate u give' by angie thomas. it's gotta be one of my favourites and it for sure beats 'to kill a mockingbird' (the other option for this term).

since i'm going to be inside for most of the day, i am going to try and smash out my holiday homework and the study that i didn't get finished this week. something that i've been proud of over this school break is my consistency in practising spanish. i am set on participating in homestay at the end of next year, so i'm trying to do everything to help my chances of acceptance.

Yesterday (21/11/23), I completed some business and math practice; we are currently studying trigonometry and unit 2 in business. I also had my violin lesson; I recently started playing the violin, and so far I have learned how to play Ludwig Van Beethoven's Ode to Joy.

Wednesday, October 18th

Hello my lovelies! I've missed you guys so much, and I'm so sorry that I've been gone for more than a month (😦). Being completely honest with you, I have been so full of things and so overwhelmed... nonetheless this last week I had fall vacays and it was amazing, I had a break and I could put order to my brain. Went on a trip with my bf and it was really nice! Nonetheless, school is back on track which means I must keep doing the IB... it's horrible. Rn my average is on 6 but I have had to sacrifice my mental health.

Anyways, kids, don't follow my example.

Something really important I would like to ask is if anyone wants to create a whatsapp gc to motivate each other to study! I really want to give and have support and would love to see you all make part of it.

Went book shopping today !! I am v happy because I got a topology book for maths, and that’s my favorite field haha. I’m v excited to learn more about it. Today i got one half chapter of physics done, and i’m gonna do a bit of calculus basics revision, then a little bit of topology before i go to sleep.

day one. feeling unwell, tired, and sore

hi! i'm writing this sitting in my bed as i am still feeling a bit unwell, not nearly as unwell i felt this morning though, from not being able to sleep more than a few hours due to acid reflux .. something i ate yesterday must have triggered it :/ and due to the amount of snow we have gotten the last two days, i am sore from all the shovelling of snow ~-~

oh well! i still managed to study in deep focus for a little bit more than an hour today, so i still consider this day a success! i didn't manage to take a photo (more so i forgot) so enjoy this photo from pinterest, and let's hope i remember tomorrow!
