December 2019. I could see something along the top of the ridge from down in the valley. I thought it might be hoarfrost but it was ice, ice that coated every twig, every stone, every hemlock needle, every blade of grass. I walked in a crystal forest. Okay I might have slipped a few times but it was worth it.
Epic ice storm here in Eugene, Oregon. Fallen tree limbs. Downed power lines. What looks like snow is as slick as a skating rink. Yet this frozen world is very beautiful.
