Okay so this is another 2 vs 2 matchup only this time I picked Godzilla Kaiju that even gave the king of the monsters a hard time, okay so Zoffy and Ultraman Ace vs Space Godzilla and Destoroyah

Hi!

Tbh at first glance I was fairly convinced the kaiju team would take this one cause man you have my favorite Godzilla kaiju Destroyah (Des) in there and he was an absolute BEAST. But I had to spent abit more time researching on the characters just in case (Especially Zoffy cause he frequently pops out of nowhere throughout different series so I tend to get confused on what did he do and at which particular time he did it)

In the end I found out that this may be a potential mismatch due to the fact that Micro-Oxygen produces alot of energy and SpaceGodzilla (SG)’s crystals are just conduits of energy but ill go into detail later

So per usual ill go through each character and their feats to reintroduce and refresh others who may not have a good understanding of said characters:

Ultraman Ace (1972)

Ace is an expert of using various kind of rays and psychic techniques. Hence he is given the nickname ‘Ace of ray techniques’. Focusing on the ‘Expert on Psychic techniques’ here, this would give rise to the implication that Ace seems to have a better control of the Ultra Willpower than his predecessors as neither of them were given notable ‘nicknames’ such as this. As we saw from Ace’s feats, we do see his usage of the Ultra Willpower that is definitely on another level like him creating an actual, tangible blade through his Ultra Willpower alone.

Also a point to note that most of the kaiju he faced in his series were choju, which are considerably more powerful than ordinary kaiju as u can tell by their heavier weight and more lethal attacks and abilities as compared to the rather ‘tame’ ones for the past 3 series. And we actually got 2 rather substantial in-series power scaling as to how do ordinary kaiju do against choju:

1. Doragory vs Muruchi II

Doragory had enough strength to literally tear off the jaw and limbs of Muruchi without any difficulty

2. Iceron vs Woo II

Iceron was literally mandhandling Woo and eventually defeated the latter when Woo was sent falling off a cliff

Also moving on to what he is more widely known for, which is him having 2x more energy capacity than normal Ultras due to him having the Ace Hole, which serves the same function as Taro’s horns, it absorbs solar energy or even from other Ultras, and it works well with the fact that Ace has a huge energy reserve coupled with being able to manipulate huge amounts of energy as we saw how he was able to use the Space Q. Now I always found this fact rather dubious as if we actually watched the series, he definitely has more than 2x as ill prove below:

1. In the first half of the Ace Killer Arc, Ace was able to contain the energies of the 4 Ultra Brothers, all while their color timers were still in the blue range

2. In the 2nd half of the Annihilation Arc, Ace still had enough energy to share with the 4 Ultras Brothers, although he himself was in the red zone. And the 4 Ultra Brothers werent resurrected in the critical red zone either as they were still able to stand and converse normally. And after sharing, Ace was still in the comfortable red zone.

3. Ace was able to send Doragory to another dimension to stall for time which turned his colour timer red from blue

In the next episode, Ace, while in the red zone, was able to use the same tactic and sent both Metron Jr and Doragory into another dimension individually

(Btw this supports the theory that the red zone is actually at least twice the range of the blue zone for the color timer for Ace)

Strength

Ace (1972) is stated to have a brute strength of 140 000t, but as we saw in the series, he was actually getting stronger throughout the series, or actually even stronger than stated.

1. Can easily lift and throw Cowra which weighs 77 000t

2. A simple kick was able to send Brocken (46 000t) flying backwards

3. Able to fling Aribunta (62 000t) with just a judo flip

4. Able to grapple and easily tossed around Barabba around which weighs 85 000t (5000t heavier than Des and SG individually), even hit the back of its head with enough force to dislodge his eyes

(wtf ik, but this is the Showa Era)

5. Strong enough to rip off Chameleking’s wings

6. Able to punch a clean hole through the tanky Doragory, a feat comparable to if not higher than Snake Darkness’ Demon Blood Judge which delivers a 700 000t worth of force

7. Gitagitanga who weighs 73 000t, was thrown so hard by Ace’s Ace lifter that he exploded upon impact with the ground

But I think one of the most (if not the most) impressive feat of strength that Ace has displayed was the fact that he threw Baktari (59 000t) into space to Seven

Other noteworthy physical feats include:

1. Able to resist Aribunta’s formic acid spray which could dissolve human flesh and melt steel (Kind of like what Des’ Oxygen Destroyer Ray can do, but its more destructive than Aribunta’s)

2. Extremely Fast Reaction Time

a) Fast enough to dodge missiles and catch them

b) Manages to dodge Unitang’s Horn Flash for the first time whereby an huge explosion just occurs spontaneously just from a flash of her horn which implies Ace’s reaction time is close to light speed

3. Chops so sharp that it can cleanly behead a choju like Zaigon (Its known as ‘Ultra Knife’)

Durability

Conveniently, we actually get a rather substantial measure of his durability for Ace. When Yapool pit Ace Robot (An exact replica of Ace), up against Ace Killer in order to demonstrate to the 4 crucified Ultra Brothers to witness, Ace Robot (aka Ace 1972) was able to tank 2 Emerium Rays, 3 Specium Rays and 1 Bracelet bomb from the stolen Jack’s Ultra Bracelet.

And after all that, Ace Robot’s Colour Timer was still in the blue zone. (A gentle reminder that each attack had the potential to completely vaporize an ordinary kaiju). But he was finally destroyed by Ace Killer’s M87 Ray.

(Note that Ace Killer’s Ultra Finishers has the same beam potency as the original)

(And yes, that M87 Ray feat will be included under the Zoffy section of this answer later)

In addition, Ace managed to survive after a beating from Doragory (A reminder than he had enough strength to utterly mutilate Muruchi) for 3 rounds over the course of 2 episodes

(Note that in the 1st and 3rd round Doragory was accompanied by Metron Jr in the assault, and in the 2nd, he got triple teamed by said two opponents but with Muruchi as well)

Ace also fought inside an exploding volcano but such high temperatures does not seem to inhibit his fighting ability at all as this was supported by that fact that more impressively, he survived against Lunatyx’s 50 000 degrees Fire Breath

Being exposed to high amounts of radiation also had no effect on Ace as he fought Gasegon, who was so radioactive that it managed to thaw itself even after being completely frozen

Techniques

1. Can summon lightning bolts

2. Energy Discharge; When constricted by King Crab’s tail, Ace discharged so much energy that it made its tail literally explode into pieces

3. His Star Beam Cutter was even faster than Vakishim’s Anuglar Missile that it managed to intercept the latter and destroyed it

4. Was able to cut off the supply of Yapool’s energy to Aprasar (Energy Manipulation)

5. Gullotine attacks so powerful that it could one shot Fubugirara, a choju that was able to tank many of Ace’s beams

6. A energetically charged kick from Ace was able to instantly kill the Choju Aquarius, who was so tanky that not a single one of Ace’s physical attacks could faze her

Tho this next one definitely not many knows, but Ace can actually even time travel as we saw when Daidarahoshi, a choju with the ability to time travel, which TAC accidentally came too close to it when it was about to time travel back in time.

And after beating it in the past, Ace, despite his color timer flashing red, still had enough energy to bring them back to the current time.

He also has other techniques like paralyzing rays, Stop Ray, Ultra Light and Form Revert Ray etc

Other noteworthy points

Ace seems to also have the ability to adapt faster as well as we saw when fighting against Geegon, it fired its paralyzing lasers which left Ace stunned badly (motionless and unresponsive) for several seconds, but when he snapped out of it and it fired again, this time Ace was completely immune, this shows that he is contantly getting stronger after every battle.

Ace also managed to even make short work of his final kaiju, Jumbo King, which is Yapool’s strongest Choju which puts him above the strength of Doragory and durability of tanks like Ace Killer and Fubugirara, a single Ace Slash was able to finish him (Yes, Ace literally raised the bar to a whole new level with his series)

Ace (Ultra Fight Victory)

In Ultra Fight Victory, Ace’s metallium ray was able to stalemate with Victory Killer’s M87 Ray, its not clear whether the potency of the beam of Victory Killer has improved since Ace Killer but its still significant that by this time, Ace’s beam potency had improved so much that it was on par with the then ‘Strongest attack in the Universe‘

Zoffy

Now Zoffy was rather difficult as he randomly pops up throughout the history of Ultraman and when he appears, he actually does nothing much but we could still gather enough information to approximately scale him

But overall, as the ‘Big Brother’ of the Ultra Brothers, we always see him being the ‘brains’ of said group as well, consistently giving analysis to a particular battle situation and demonstrating his leadership in making major decisions and planning like with Alien Temperor faking his own death, the Darkclops Zero invasion etc

Zoffy (1966)

At this time, he was stated to have a brute strength of 160 000t, which is even higher than Ace so we can expect him to be able to replicate Ace’s physical feats, but just even better at this point.

Zoffy (1972)

When Ace was trapped by Giron Man, Zoffy literally just flew though the underground to save Ace

Back to the point where Ace Killer literally destroyed Ace Robot (An exact replica of Ace just a reminder) with just 1 M87 Ray while the latter’s color timer was still in the blue range.

And remember when I said that Ace’s red zone range is at least more than twice his blue zone range of his color timer? This meant that a single M87 Ray was so powerful that it managed to do even more damage than 2 Emerium Rays, 3 Specium Rays and 1 Bracelet Bomb!

Zoffy (2006)

Zoffy may actually have an even higher energy capacity than Ace as we saw in the Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers Movie, Zoffy was able to completely restore Ace’s, Jack’s and even Mebius’ color timers to the blue zone when they were all previously flashing red. And even after sharing his energy, Zoffy’s color timer was still blue.

Zoffy (2017)

At this time, Zoffy was completely immune to the 40 000 degrees Fire Breath from Birdon in Ultra Fight Orb when back in 1973 he was devastated by it

SpaceGodzilla (SG)

SG came to be as it was suspected that the G-cells from Biollante escaped into space or carried by Mothra’s wings which slowly regenerated, assimilating crystalline organisms in space while doing so.

He has a similar biology to Godzilla but now with the energy-based crystals assimilated, it can now regenerate with its G-cells and have the ability of Geokinesis. Which means SG can generate crystals from the ground to empower himself or throw them at his opponents.He also has the ability to manipulate energy as he is able to direct the pathway of his Cororna Beams. Said Corona beams are very potent as it managed to knocked down the tanky Godzilla several times and is also able to reach near light speed in outer space despite being 720 000 tonnes in his flight mode

Although weak in melee combat, he is extremely tanky as he managed to take ALOT of punishment against Moguera’s assult (which staggered Godzilla just after a few shots) but SG tanked several of Godzilla blue and red spiral and a much prolonged exposure on top of Mogurea’s assult

Also another point to note is that SG has also demonstrated a rather high level of intelligence as for one, he knew to go straight for Godzilla once he arrived on earth and targeted Godzilla Jr first to lure Godzilla. Two, he also knows how to use his powers very well as he was able to set up base, by making Fukuoka tower his main power source as well as generating many crystals to encompass the battlefield to use if for its own advantage.

Destroyah (Des)

He is made up of trillions of microscopic horseshoe crab-like organisms that were exposed to the Oxygen Destroyer when it went off way back in 1954 which killed the first Godzilla.

Said organisms can also that can combine and divide to form independent organisms as well.

In his perfect form, he boasts of extreme tank-abilities, firepower and strength as:

For Strength:

He was able to physically grapple with BURNING Godzilla, he was also able to drag Godzilla by gripping his neck using his tail for long distances without difficulty

For Firepower:

His Variable Slicer was even able to completely go through BurningG and his Oxygen Destroyer Ray was amplified several times over as he evolved and in his perfect form, it was able to cause Burning G extreme pain

For Defence:

Even tankier than SG as he was still able to hold its own even after multiple shots of the empowered Red Spiral Ray from BURNING Godzilla

He also has other hax abilities like Energy Draining and DNA Absorption

And his only weakness was extreme temperatures which was essentially how he was defeated in the end.

Definitely one of the top tiers in the G franchise and my favorite Godzilla Kaiju

So how will the battle go?

Essentially, despite all of what SG and Des can offer, this would be a mismatch all because of Ace.

This is because the crux of SG is essentially the crystals which contains latent energy which SG himself uses to empower himself

And the crux of Des’ being is Mico-Oxygen, which releases a lot of energy and is also the main component of his Oxygen Destroyer Ray

And Ace, being essentially an energy vacuum with a huge storage space, has been shown to be able to absorb energy externally like from other Ultramen and other external sources (Eg Absorbing the energy of an asteroid collision)

While SG has shown the ability to absorb energy from other sources, but his is only limited to his own type of energy as we don’t see him empowering himself with other forms of energy besides his own

Which means that Ace can literally just absorb energy from SG’s crystals and he could even use them or even absorb from SG’s body itself as it also contains the same type of crystal’s energy.

And Ace can just absorb the energy from the Micro-Oxygen that Des has, and although Des can only drain energy by injecting Micro-Oxygen into an opponent, but if he does it on Ace as itll essentially just be feeding the latter energy.

Given Ace’s MASSIVE energy storage, he’ll essentially render SG and Des to just their physical prowess in which case I find it very difficult for either of the kaiju to win here.

Even though SG was shown to be very tanky, Moguera’s drill managed to puncture his skin and drew blood, and said drill was mainly used to enable the components of Moguera to dig underground, Zoffy (1972) was literally able to ‘fly’ through deep underground to reach Ace where the Giron Man species lived with no trouble at all.

And SG’s flight speed on earth (Mach 3) and homing crystals move waaaaay too slow and can be easily dodged or teleported away by Zoffy. Not to mention that his crystals are very easily destroyed and if his shoulder crystals are destroyed, he is severely weakened. And even tho SG has G-cells, he cant seem to regenerate his broken shoulder crystals, which means SG has two HUGE weak spots on his body, and even if he can bring up the Photon Shield, Ace’s near light speed reaction speed could easily find his way around that

Even if the battle occurs in space where SG can reach near light speeds, Ace can even go beyond light speed on Earth which was why he was able to time travel.

Furthermore, we know that SG’s Corona Beams can be influenced by his own psychic abilities, and can move Godzilla with said psychic abilities as well.

Well, Ace can do this even better as this is essentially what Ultra Willpower is, and as previously established, he has shown mastery over his Ultra Willpower on a whole new level compared to his 3 previous predecessors, and going by his nickname of ‘An expert of psychic techniques’, Ace’s psychic feats could be better than Jack’s who could stop a tsunami that was ‘Hundreds of feet tall’ in seconds, this compared to the slow levitation of Godzilla’s body by SG.

And hell, if the corona beam can be controlled by psychic abilities, and Ace’s own psychic abilities is already established to be superior, this means that Ace could just overpower SG’s own psychic abilities and launch the Corona Beam right back at SG.

At this point, SG’s only has physical prowess to go off, but hes weak in melee, and his zoning ability is essentially negated. In short, he’s sitting duck.

Although SG is intelligent enough to prep for battles, he is going up against two high ranking officials of the Ultra Garrison that have thousands of years of battle experience that even ordinary ultramen have above human-level intelligence, so if you could figure out SG’s weakness, Zoffy would have probably figured it out even sooner.

For Des, he’s weak to extreme temperatures which in the movie, it was demonstrated pretty well where he was essentially put out of commission when he was frozen. Zoffy has the Ultra Frost which is even colder than the depths of space as it managed to completely freeze Taro when he was first defeated by Birdon. And let not forget that Ace can also summon thunder, which can be 30 000 - 50 000 degrees. So the Ultra Team can both cover both ends of the ‘extreme temperature’ spectrum.

Considering that Des’ Variable Slicer didn’t actually cut Godzilla into two, I presume its the same as when Acro Smasher used his Smash Beam Blade against Galactron, where it only heated up the sword’s area of contact, but its a nonetheless intangible attack and not a ‘real’ blade.

Des’ would also have no chance to constrict Ace with his tail as Ace’s Body Spark has already proven to have his way around it. Same with his ability to swarm an opponent with his juveniles.

Not to mention that Ace also can revert kaiju to their previous forms which would just making Des easier to sweep through.

(Note that im not mentioning much of Zoffy due to the fact that he has little feats to off of but we know that he is physically stronger than Ace so whatever physical feat Ace can do, Zoffy can do much better)

So in conclusion, its a mismatch due to Ace being in the mix, so theres no need to even discuss what incarnation of the Ultras should we use or should we even scale up their sizes. But even if the mismatch aspect isn’t present, Ace literally has enough energy to time travel and throw kaiju into space, Zoffy’s M87 Ray could possibly one-shot Ace and he’s physically stronger. While itll definitely be interesting to see Zoffy taking both kaiju on, Ace will definitely be able to solo them both due to the mismatch.
