Icewind dale2: gnome paladin/illusionist multiclass.
I imagine he's also party's surgeon, using illusion spells for anesthesia and paladin's healing spells to facilitate recovery.

a big peeve of mine specifically with people playing baldur’s gate 3 is when people are like “it’s literally the greatest game ever cuz it literally put d&d in a video game. oh my god no one’s ever done this before” it isn’t called bg3 just because. like they know that baldur’s gate 1 and 2 exist right? like planescape: torment and icewind dale are actual factual games that work off of ad&d like exactly right? like don’t get me wrong i fucking love bg3. i think it’s a masterpiece but like, it isn’t the first game to do this. the other games are so great and i think they deserve some love and appreciation and respect. they don’t deserve to be overshadowed

Hey Josh, what's the longest you've ever spent working on one game?
A game that shipped? 3 years (Pentiment): 9 months in pre-production and ~27 months in development.
Icewind Dale: 14 months.
Icewind Dale II: 10 months.
Neverwinter Nights II was in development for over 3 years (I think?) but I only came on for about 6 months at the end.
Fallout: New Vegas: 18 months.
Pillars of Eternity: 2 years, 10 months.
Deadfire: 2 years, 6 months.

I wanted to fill the gap in my cultural upbringing and finally read the Icewind Dale trilogy. Honestly, I was quite bored, so I entertained myself with silly doodles.
(the excerpt on the first doodle roughly translates as "[Wulfgar] thrust his battlehammer behind the belt and went after the dwarf")
(the excerpt on the last doodle roughly translates as "Entreri ran out into the street and spread his legs, ready to meet Drizzt")

Feel the sting of the cold in the Far North!
These 4 iceberg battlemaps are from my wilderness map pack, where I map out 10 different biomes.
I hope these maps are useful to those of you running an Arctic campaign.
