White-tailed Mongoose (Ichneumia albicauda)
...a large (actually the largest) species of mongoose (Herpestidae) that is widely distributed throughout sub-Saharan Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. White-tailed mongooses occur in a wide range of habitats, ranging from semi-desert to savanna, and woodland. They typically avoid moist/very arid areas, preferring areas of thick cover like the edges of forests and streams. I. albicauda is nocturnal, emerging from a burrow to feed on insects, and small vetebrates.
