My blog theme has been Narnia for like three years so I went ahead and changed it to the fandom I’m currently deepest in but I am very much still a Narnia stan, so my dear Narnia followers do not fret.

Artists I'm Currently
Obsessed With Pt.2
Madison Reyes
I'm sure yall know of my love for jatp by now. Madison is the lead actress in Julie and the Phantoms. She plays julie Molina. I miss Julie and her cute chaotic little Phantoms but it is what it is. Anyways Madi is absolutely amazing. She has the fucking voice if an angel. Talented from a young age and absolutely gorgeous.

OKAY PART TWO
i think then julie leaves?? WAIT SHE KICKS THEM OUT THEN LEAVES YEAH and goes back to her room? then she thinks bout texting flynn "what would you say if there were theee ghosts living in my moms old studio" before deleting it saying she would think she's insane
that might've been earlier sorry i don't remember-
then the molinas are having dinner, with a place set for rose. carlos says thank you for the meal, and they start eating before they hear tia coming so they quickly remove roses dinner place to hide it from her. tia comes in and says "oh spaghetti, again. well i brought a casserole for you i cant let you have leftovers every night but you can just have it tomorrow" julie says thank you to tia, who then walks over to julie saying "aw look at this see it's getting better, just gotta rip off that bandaid" referring to roses empty table place. ray says julie has been cleaning out roses studio, but then the boys show up through a wall shocking julie so she screams shocking her family to which she responds "that's me aha ripping off that bandaid....ahhh" she whispers "you shouldn't be here" which tia takes towards herself saying she's only trying to help.
julie responds saying she should be at pilates, which tia says she "just wanted to be here for them, and now that you're (julie) out of the music program you can focus on classes that really matter" after no one responds she asks ray "you got the email from the school didn't you?" to which he says "yeah, we're still discussing it" then tia says something else and leaves
carlos asks julie if she wants to hear about sports but ray catches him saying "you're a good brother but that's not gonna work" causing carlos to leave so ray and julie are alone. ray then asks julie "so, why didn't you tell me" and she says "i was going to after dinner, really" and he says like "well you still like music don't you" and she says "i don't know, maybe?"
music begins playing from roses studio (the garage) and julie startled says she must've left the stereo on and goes to turn it off
she finds the boys in the garage playing with their instruments. she angrily stomps in front of them yelling to get them to stop playing. once they stop she says her family could here them, and the boys are excited that people can still here them even though they are ghosts. ray walks in saying he was just checking in on her, says what she was playing was pretty good. luke days "hey he likes our stuff, we're sunset curve" then reggie's iconic "tell your friends!" julie whispers "shut upp!" between her teeth and ray says hey i'll just trying help and make sure you're okay"
he sees the instruments and goes "heyy are these the old junk that was in the loft? we could maybe sell these, make a couple bucks" he touches them and alex says to stop touching his drums but bc they're ghosts ray cannot hear them
smth happens? ray leaves and julie says to the guys they can't play when she's not there, starts to leave outside the garage the guys show up, luke says they found a cool song her mom wrote, julie tells them her mom passed away, they apologize that they didn't know. they talk more, the boys have nowhere to go, julie says they can stay there for now. julie goes inside to bed
the next day julie goes out to the garage and finds the song her mom wrote on the piano, she spread it out sits down and starts playing it. ray, walking outside the garage hears her playing and singing; as well as carlos on the porch. by the end of the song the boys are standing behind julie without her knowledge. they poof out instead of trying to talk to her bc alex knew she needs space.
i just realized i accidentally went into the second episode here but im gonna leave it anyway
the boys talk about how amazing she was and wonder why she lied about playing piano. like thinks about asking her to join the band but then flynn walks past then crying. reggie - "was she crying too??" luke - "yes!! and nothings more scary than one girl crying than TWO girls crying!"
cuts tk flynn w julie next to the piano, flynn - "i've been up all night thinking about what i was gonna say and i might've drunken seven sodas to stay awake but i need to say this" julie - "flynn wait-" flynn "no. it's my turn to talk. you CANT give up on music, if you have up music that would be a curse on the world!! my life will be SO sad" etc smth along those lines then julie - "can i talk now?" flynn nods "i played the piano and sang for the first time this morning" flynn - "WHY DIDNT UOU SAY SO THATS AMAZING" julie - "your seven sodas kept interrupting /lh" flynn - "WE HAVE TI TELL MS HARRISON SO MH LIFE WONT BE THE SAD PICTUR EI JUST PAINTED FOR YOU" julie laughs a lil, flynn - "what made you play again?" julie - "i found this song my mom wrote for me" they leave~

FAN EXPO Chicago Celebrates 50 Years Of All Things Fandom With The World’s Greatest Comic Creators
Tumblr media
Fifty years ago, fandom was changed forever when Nostalgia ‘72 took over the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Illinois, creating the first space in the midwest for fans to gather and celebrate comics. Now known as FAN EXPO Chicago, the convention will return for its biggest show yet - bringing an incredible round-up of legendary celebrities, comic creators, voice actors and cosplayers to the Windy City from July 7 to July 10.
To celebrate the golden anniversary, FAN EXPO Chicago has assembled an incredible roster of superstar comic artists and writers, headlined by legends Brian Michael Bendis (writer, creator of “Naomi”), Geoff Johns (writer, creator of “Stargirl”), Joe Quesada (CCO, Marvel Entertainment) Greg Capullo (“Batman”), Marc Silvestri (celebrating 30 years of Image Comics), Kevin Smith (“Daredevil”), Leinil Francis Yu (“X-Men”), Jorge Molina (“Batman”) and dozens of others.
In 1972, Chicago collectibles dealer and local school teacher Nancy Warner made history when she united 2,000 of Chicago’s biggest comic fans in the midwest’s first ever comic and collectibles convention. Beginning as a space by and for comic collectors, and expanding to include exhibits, attractions and celebrities from all walks of fandom, what is now known as FAN EXPO Chicago is gearing up for its biggest year ever - while paying homage to the traditional comic culture that started it all.
“While the phrase ‘comic con’ continues to grow in popularity with convention groups throughout the world, it sometimes feels like those groups have left the actual comics in the dust,” said Andrew Moyes, vice president of FAN EXPO HQ. “Fandom culture is more than just blockbuster movies - it’s a deep loyalty to and appreciation of the classics and a celebration of the everlasting impact those comics, characters and creators have had on each of us. At FAN EXPO Chicago, we’re working to take the fan experience to new levels, while also staying true to the root of who we - and our guests - are.”
Other standout creators attending include Zeb Wells (“Amazing Spider-Man"), Jock (“Batman: One Dark Knight”), Steve McNiven (“Star Wars”), Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (legendary artist, “Batman vs Hulk”), Dike Ruan (“Shang-Chi”), Michael Golden (legendary artist, "Batman,” “Daredevil”), David Mack (“Kabuki,” “Jessica Jones”, Ben Templesmith (“Wormwood,” “30 Days of Night” and Tony Harris (“Starman,” Ex Machina”). See the full creator list and keep an eye out for more additions at https://fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/comic-creators/.
Comic fans will particularly revel in the special Comic Guest VIP packages just announced featuring Heroes in the Windy City, Jock, Silvestri, McNiven and more. See the full list at https://fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/comic-guest-special-event-packages.
In addition, superstar celebrities will reunite, including “the Hobbits” of the iconic Lord of the Rings trilogy (Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd), Stargirl’s Brec Bassinger, The Book Of Boba Fett’s Ming-Na Wen and stars from The Mandalorian, Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks, Cobra Kai, Star Trek, as well as a stacked roster of voice actors includes Futurama’s Billy West, Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Ashley Eckstein and the hottest leads from My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer. With additional guests and attractions representing dozens of the greatest franchises across genres and decades, the massive lineup will create the ultimate playground for fans of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and more.
FAN EXPO Chicago will host attractions for fans of all ages and fandoms, including panels, autograph sessions, photo-ops and meet-and-greets and retailers and artists from all over the world selling unique merchandise, artwork, memorabilia, comic books and collectables. Exclusives for FAN EXPO Chicago include DC Batman #251 Special Chicago Edition, 50th Fan Expo Chicago exclusive/limited edition: bag, t-shirt, pin and many others.
FAN EXPO Chicago will take place from July 7 until July 10 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. The show will be open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets start at $22 and can be purchased at www.fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/buy-tickets/. For more information and to stay up-to-date on new guests and attractions, visit www.fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago.

#DIFF2022 Finally Returns to our Sunny Durban Shores!
Tumblr media
The Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) once again takes place from 21 to 30 July 2022. The 43rd edition features a theme of “Adaptation, Survival and Sustainability”. This year’s festival will present a unique hybrid event of a carefully curated selection of South African premieres, screening virtually online for free on www.durbanfilmfest.com and in person at CineCentre Suncoast Casino, for regular cinema ticket prices.
Tumblr media
On 21 July, DIFF2022 opens with the live and virtual screening of 1960, directed by Michael Mutombo and King Shaft. You’re My Favourite Place by Jahmil X.T. Qubeka will close the festival on 29 July, after which film-lovers will still have the opportunity to see the film online the following day, on 30 July. The #DIFF2022 awards will also take place virtually on 30 July. Festival manager, Valma Pfaff, is proud to announce the films in competition that are diverse but have a common thread of adaptation and instilling hope for the future. “The past two years have proven to be trying times, and the narratives of many of these films offer us a reflection on these sometimes desperate moments. At the same time, filmmakers also share stories of hope and optimism, bringing to life the way people support each other while carefully looking forward to a brighter future.” Says Pfaff.    The organisers of DIFF have this same cautious optimism about the future of film. “The industry has changed, and offering the DIFF as a hybrid festival felt like the best solution to cater for our audiences in different ways. We are beyond excited to be able to invite our audience in person to the cinema again. We also acknowledge the many opportunities to keep expanding our audiences virtually.” Says Centre for Creative Arts Director Ismail Mahomed.
Tumblr media

But how much does she know, and what is she holding back?
2 Thirds of a Man, directed by Earl Shaun Kopeledi from South Africa, draws an image of how  Justin returns to Cape Town as a first-year student at Rocklands University after spending most of his teenage years living in Beaufort West, where his mom took up a teaching job after the untimely death of his father, a musician on the brink of success.
Bangarang, directed by Robin Odongo from Kenya, is inspired by actual events. Otile, a poor ‘bodaboda’ rider, is jobless ten years after graduating with a second-class honours degree in automotive engineering. When election violence erupts after the disputed Kenyan presidential elections, Otile leads other rioters in the streets of Kisumu.

Good Madam, directed by Jenna Cato Bass, is a psychological thriller and a commentary on the contemporary state of race relations in South Africa following the end of apartheid.
Juwaa, directed by Nganji Mutiri and shot in Belgium and the Congo, is a powerful drama based on African characters rarely seen on screens. Years after a traumatic night, a son and a mother slowly reveal all the layers that redefine what they mean to each other.
Klondike, directed by Maryna Er Gorbach from Ukraine, follows July 2014, when expectant parents’ nervous anticipation of their first child’s birth is violently disrupted as the vicinal crash of flight MH17 elevates the forbidding tension enveloping their village.
Public Toilet Africa, director; Felix (Kofi) Ofosu-Yeboah from Ghana follows after several years of her disappearance; a reticent Ama returns to the city where she was gifted to a white art collector as a little girl. Her quest to even the score results in a heist-gone-wrong that sends her and an ex-lover on a lonely country road.
Ring Wandering, director; Masakazu Kaneko from Japan captures a story in central Tokyo, where a young man named Sosuke aspires to be a manga artist.
Streams, directed by Mehdi Hmili, hailing from Tunisia, Amel works in a factory in Tunis. She lives with her alcoholic husband Tahar, a former local football player, and their only son Moumen, a talented teenage football goalkeeper.

EEEEEPPPP! It’s our queen’s 17th!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is truly killing it when it comes to her and her career and I cannot wait till the mainstream media gets a taste of her because the world is not prepared for her talent 🥺 She’s going to go so far!!!
Reminder that Julie and the Phantoms was her first ever audition for anything and she got the lead role and she was only 14 when she auditioned!! She gets to be an inspiration to so many!!!
“It was very rare that I saw a Hispanic girl that looked like me. My role models were Caucasian. So, if I got the role, I get to be that role model for that little girl who’s also in my position.”
You see her talent right away in her acting but then she starts singing and just- the goosebumps I felt on the first watch of Jatp and still get because of the sheer power her voice is. It’s right away you realize how incredibly talented she is.
I can truly say that I’ve been a fan of Madison Reyes since the start ☺️
Happy Birthday Madi!!! 🎈🎉🎂
