Genuinely, Aventurine is way better at concealing his true feelings that Ratio. Ratio may be acting for the sake of the plan but the way he truly feels about anything he’s doing always seeps through, it’s why he apologizes to Aventurine in 2.0 in their staged argument scene. It’s why he is as mean to Sunday as he can be. It’s why him pretending that he “hates” Aventurine makes him act so silly. Ratio can’t fully commit to the bit, he can’t force himself to not care or to be someone he isn’t, because fundamentally Ratio CARES and that is something he is incapable of hiding, alabaster bust or not.

The problem is that him expressing his care is often done in a rude and/or blunt manner which people tend to interpret as stoicism or apathy when it’s anything but. Ratio’s vial that he gives to Aventurine is short, sweet and gets straight to the point, because that’s the easiest way for Ratio to express his emotions, even if it’s often detrimental for him and anyone else around him. However Aventurine understands him quite well, and knows that although brief, Ratio telling him to “stay alive, survive this and keep on living” is how he truly feels towards Aventurine, and that’s enough to keep him going.

Underneath Ratios carefully crafted marble facade is a man who cares so much and is so bad at expressing it and I wish the community in general, especially Aventio shippers would acknowledge that more. Ratios true moments of sincerity are brief, but they are anything but stoic. Let the man be soft, it’s in character.

Proving that no one really hates TOA Apollo

When Apollo came back to CHB after becoming a god again, literally everyone rushed to hug him and he was definitely not the only one crying from the reunion

Piper eventually did forgive him for the whole Jason thing, which I highly doubt she would have done with someone she hated. She actually seemed pretty chill with him

Hazel tried to cheer Apollo up while he was dying, actually, she never really hated him

Reyna decided that she had hope in Apollo changing for the better, and he didn't let her down

AITA for purposely using the wrong pronouns for my “friend”?

I (24f) am a bit of a gamer, I’ve been gaming online since I was 15 and I’m in a discord server with the people I play with. The server is decently sized, there’s about 25 people in it, it’s mostly a chill place, we’re all nice to each other and nobody really cared about anyone’s sexuality. We’ve a few trans people in the server and everyone uses their correct pronouns.

A few months ago one of the guys (24m) stopped taking drugs. At first we were delighted because honestly we thought he was gonna OD one of these days and we were all kinda worried about him. However he got really into like andy tate and the manosphere. It makes everyone kinda uncomfortable when he says stuff like “real men aren’t emotional” (and then proceeds to have a hissy fit when he loses a game) but nobody really calls him out because we’ve known him for ten years and nobody wants to start shit.

Anyway he and I were close for a long time and about two weeks ago we were the only ones in the server, when he starts this absolutely insane and unhinged rant about how much he hates pronouns. I asked him why he cares so much when they’re just words and everyone has them, including him. He told me he doesn’t care at all actually and thinks people who do care are pussies. So I asked if he’d care if I used she/her for him instead of he/him. He said he wouldn’t.

I’ve been exclusively using she/her to refer to him for the past two weeks (other than this post as I think it would get confusing) and he gets so annoyed when I do it. Last night he asked me to stop and when I asked if he finally understood how hurtful and uncomfortable it is to be misgendered he said “no I don’t care at all, you’re just being a stubborn bitch and im sick of your attitude so just stop”

I just left the call and since then he’s been blowing up my dms calling me all sorts of names. I asked some of our friends about it, most of them agree he’s just turned from our chill friend to a total dickbag, but some of them think I should just stop since it’s still misgendering and he did ask me to stop doing it.

I’m a bit torn, usually I’ve no issue with using someone’s pronouns, but his idgaf attitude paired with the fact that he clearly does care and just won’t admit to being wrong is really pissing me off, and I feel like he deserved a taste of his own medicine. after that it got somewhat awkard but you two def act more close than ever

you were hanging out with a boy, not just any other boy but a boy that was known as the most violent kid at school, people said the boy always got into fights, smokes behind the school and disrespects teachers. but there you were talking and laughing with him, it made stans heart twist, after you were done talking to the boy stan went over and talked to you to warn you abt him.

“yo y/n why were you talking to him js now?” you looked at stan then at the boy, “who him?” you looked over to the boy and stan nodded “because... hes my friend? plus i have him for my science partner so we were talking abt when to meet up” you said smiling and walking away “hold on, yk who he is right?? stay away from him, he’s dangerous!” stan said pulling your arm “cmon stan stop over reacting he’s sweet, he even promised to buy me lunch!” you said pulling away from him, “still! im going to talk to mr garrison abt this, i’ll ask so you and me are on the same team” he said and walked away, now youre the one pulling his arm

“the fuck? dont, its none of your business” he was so shocked at how defensive you got over the kid “its too! what if you got hurt,infact i’ll make sure for future projects that requires two people us two are already on one” he tried walking away again, “stan! dont butt in! let me be, hes not as dangerous as people potray him!” you said slightly raising your voice “ i’m not risking it.” he said crossing his arms also raising his voice slightly “ why the fuck do you care??! you never cared before!” you yelled looking angry “because i love you y/n! bc i care for you! how have you not realize it by now geez!” he yelled back, you sat there shocked with a slight tint of pink on your cheeks he coughed a little breaking the tension “ now cmon, you wanna change partners or not” he looked away refusing to make eye contact, you nodded.

although you looked like a very untroubled person, you also had problems you wished would go away. so often times you and some other kids would smoke at the back of the school before school starts, its a way for you to release stress before school starts.

everyone kinda knew, the way you smelt when school starts it was too obvious,not to kyle i guess.. people didnt tell him bc they thought he knew! you thought he knew too tbh, but he thought it was from your dad or someone in your family, he believes your not one to get into that shit

school started and you scrapped your cig bud on the wall and threw it in a bin that was prepared by one the kid who smoked, as much as he smoked he cared for the environment too yk even though he's literally ruining it by smoking .when you came in the smell was strong, kenny smiled knowing what you did before school "smells strong y/n, things got tough huh?" he smiled while laughing a little "atp y/ns lung is gonna be all black like her heart" cartman added "is your dad okay y/n? he shouldn't smoke infront of his kids" kyle tried chiming in which made all five of you stop in your tracks. you looked at each other in confusion

"kyle, y/n dad isnt even alive" and kyle eyes was widen, he never asked bc he thought your dad was messed up and didn't wanna triger you. "wait then why does y/n smell like smoke" "bc she the one that smokes dumbass" kyles eye widen even more. with a little brother who used to vape and a bestfriend who drinked he was scared you'd be addicted too so he asked to talk to you separately.

"the fuck y/n?? smoking is so bad for you, you have to stop right now!" kyle got mad "ugh its none of your business,you literally used to smoke and how come you've only find out now?" you said rolling your eyes "thats not important! that shit can fuck up your lungs," "okay dad" you laughed a little and he got mad, he reach for your pockets and took away the packet of cigarettes you had "what the fuck kyle give them back, a teachers gonna see!" "no! not until you say you're gonna quit and start going to school with us from now on" he held the packet of cigarette high so you couldn't reach em

Finished The Prisoner's Throne and these are my thoughts! (Spoilers)

I like how sure Oak is about his love for Wren, it is sweet!

Wren murdering the guard in cold blood who went behind her back and tortured Oak oooooooOO

I wish they did more with the bridle but I suppose HB didn't want Wren to do smthg that may have been unforgivable

Oak's betrothal plan to Wren was very smart in my opinion, I didn't know how he was planning to prevent the war from starting and was caught off guard by the engagement announcement and I love being surprised! It reminded me of Cardan and Jude's arrangement in TWK but was different in its own right like Oak clearly would have happily married her without all the drama too.

I laughed out loud when Cardan turned the Ghost into a tree like A TREE?? Out of all the things I expected to happen in this book, this would have NEVER occurred to me. How does HB think of these things

When Wren hatched from a chrysalis and was reborn with wings at the end??????? That was also VERYYY unique and random. I was like wtf just happened but I vibe with it??

Jude and Cardan were sooooo adorable in this book, their moments were chef's kiss

Like when Cardan answered Jude's question and ignored Taryn completely, he has his priorities straight

I adored Oak defending Wren to his mother

OMG TIERNAN AND HYACINTH WERE ADORABLEEEE. When they reunited and Tiernan dejectedly said Hyacinth hated everyone including him but Hyacinth immediately said 'not you' I dIED. And their push and pull was so cuteee

Wren closing her eyes and accepting her death by Oak’s hands was so sad ngl but luckily he put two and two together in time

Overall, I loved all the callbacks to the original Cruel Prince characters and storylines. I think I liked the plot of the Stolen Heir a bit better but this book was more fast paced and had a lot more drama due to Oak's family being there which I adored. LOVED ITT

Jude completely ate every second she was in the book like that is my girl right there, I love her so much
