I’ve been seeing lots of jokes about how asoryuu fans, when asked “well then why does phoenix exist?” just say that one of the two has to be trans - which in their defense is fucking hilarious, but because I’m so so cringe I was wondering; we know ryuu is his ancestor certified but could he share traits with kazuma? THE ANSWER IS YES. OMG ITS YES.

evidence 1: the eyes. the eyeballs, the irises. look at his eyes

phoenix has these gray-brownish eyes (that capcom retconned and made blue in his 3d model - but because for the majority of the series he has these gray ones I ignore that)

guess who has the same eyes!!!

evidence 2: this one’s kinda weak but the eyebrows. look at those photos and you’ll notice they both have weird arched brows, and so does ryuu, but theirs are more similar, you’ll see what I mean in a second

evidence 3: spiky, choppy ass hair that looks oddly similar when slicked back. coincidence? I THINK NOT

like. look at these concept photos of prosecutor kazuma with his hair slicked back. HE LOWKEY LOOKS LIKE PHOENIX

now obviously phoenix has access to wig-styling grade hair product in “2019” while kazuma had to make do with some pomade but they’re both spiky and the spike origins on their foreheads almost match, it’s just so UGH OMGGGGGG

long story short phoenix wright from the hit game phoenix wright ace attorney has to be somehow related to the asougi bloodline

Today's my birthday and I got some stuff on my mind

Ash and Pikachu retiring as the lead characters of the Pokémon anime is not the news I wanted to hear on my birthday like WHY CAN'T Y'ALL WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW TO TELL ME?

The Beauty and the Beast 30th anniversary got me in my feelings so much. I loved the 1991 film growing up, the 2017 version was alright, but OMG H.E.R. as Belle! As a fellow Blasian (I'm Afro-Indigenous on my dad's side and Bengali through my mom), this means a lot to me since all I got as a kid were Jasmine and Tiana (no shade to them, they're cool). Also, the tribute to Angela Lansbury was beautiful. I had always seen Mrs. Potts as a mother figure and I feel that even with her own spin, Shania Twain did the song justice ❤️

Mickey's cool but Oswald is better. I'm happy he's back.

Did the Beauty and the Beast special have me imagining myself as Belle and Jack Russell as the Beast? Yes. Also, for some reason Ernesto de la Cruz is Gaston? HUH?? WHY DOES THAT WORK??? WHAT IN THE MULTIVERSE IS GOING ON????

Husk pointing a finger at Alastor, touching him, im pretty sure semi shoving him with rather disrespectful words, and all Alastor does at that point is giggle, amused that his "pet" is daring to talk back

DP x DC worlds greatest detectives ramble

You ever just get a bit tired of the batfamily being dumb?

Sure I appreciate a good “Danny is weird and the Bats try to figure out his deal and draw wrong conclusions based on incomplete evidence” fic as much as the next guy, and I’m definitely not saying not to write them

But the thing is, they’re all really smart. It’s their whole thing, they’re a family of detectives that dress up in colorful costumes and fight crime, but detectives nonetheless

And I get it’s for humorous effect to have otherwise intelligent people be incredibly dumb about one thing, but it’d just be nice to see them be smart sometimes. Even in a fic where they’re drawing the wrong conclusions, it’d be nice to see them use their detective skills

Like build a case so solid Danny questions whether they’re actually right about him and if he’s just confused

Or just apply it to more conventional situations/crimes

Because frankly it’s funnier if you show they’re smart before having them do something really stupid

If you build them up a bit, then it’s funnier when they fall down.

I swear movie theories are wild and people can make up any theory about any piece of media.

Take the posters for Dark Phoenix, Aladdin (2019), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens for example. We've all popped jokes about how they all could be related (even taking into account that all three aforementioned films are distributed by Walt Disney Studios insert Kingdom Hearts joke here).

I won't be surprised if there was a theory about how Aladdin could be recruited by the MCU's X-Men and we find out one of his parents was a mutant, thus leading to Apocalypse pulling up and suddenly he's got beef with Aladdin.

Also, Nightcrawler and Aladdin would be best friends. Just saying.

Btw off topic but Deadpool vs. Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse would be amazing and hilarious.
