Dear ms llama,
How do draw?
How do learn draw?
Sincerely, the gayest mess who wishes to draw all the things
Dear Pizzarolls,
I'm sorry this sat in my ask box for two months, life has been very hectic and it slipped off my radar. D:
How do draw: get a pencil and paper, set your self critiques and harsh expectations to the side, and draw your favorite character or otp. It's intimidating still even for me, but just being in the moment and creating something that makes you happy is worth it.
How do learn draw:
draw. get used to the motions, problem solving, and repetitiveness. make sure you stretch and take care of your hands. also drawing with friends is very fun!
look for references and resources and tutorials! looking at what you want to draw will help you understand how to draw. wanna draw a skelly boi? look at lots of skeleton pictures. using a reference is not cheating, so dont let people tell you that. i would also suggest taking your own reference pictures if you can using yourself/your friends/or those little wooden bendy dudes you can get at the craft store. i didnt really use those but i have friends who swore by them. worth a try!
trace. yes, im saying this. tracing for the purpose of learning is not inherently bad. if looking at a picture of a skeleton and following a tutorial are just not clicking, print that sucker out and tape it to a window and trace him. focus on the part that you arent understanding and see if it clicks then. if it does then yay! you have successfully learned. now draw him again without tracing and see how you do!
***an addendum to tracing: i would suggest not tracing other people's artwork without asking first. a fair amount of artists are okay with you using their work as inspiration, though the topic of tracing has always been polarized. use caution and err on the side of screenshots and stock imagery!
draw for yourself. the lure of popularity and "clout" for notes and likes is really pervasive in a lot of online spaces now, and ive seen it destroy artists and fic writers. ive seen how it can negatively impact individuals to the point of hatred and jealousy and while it is extremely easy to want to get notes and recognition and we as humans thrive on feedback and community... draw for yourself. you will find your community and people who genuinely enjoy what you make. your worth is not measured by likes or algorithms.
On a more academic note some actual resources I and other artists do recommend are the Morpho books. I'm sorry for the am*zon link but that should give you an idea of what to look for. They're affordable, well illustrated, and cleanly put together. I would also look at those fun stock image packs of dynamic poses! Like the ones you find on deviant art. Those are super great for drawing your oc's and otps. I'm also a big advocate of live drawing, which i know isn't always available for some people. Drawing a Real Body right in front of you with an instructor is invaluable, but also asking to draw your friends sitting at the lunch table is just as good.
Um yeah. That how draw. And disco music. here's a skelly boi for your troubles
hes doing the marge simpson dance
sincerely a very tired and gay llama

fun little Thespeus fact their party consists of them (gorgon cleric), a kobold fighter, a ratfolk mage, and a tiefling child with a big dog. it’s extremely funny. Thespeus also makes a living by travelling and healing people, joining parties in need of a cleric, and hand carving various religious statues and whatever else anyone will commission them to.

My thoughts about Captain Laserhawk. Part 4
Warning: (There may be syntaxis and gramatic errors in this text, but i hope you'll understand what i wrote)
Captain Laserhawk x Gluk'oza
Yesterday i rewatched Gluk'oza's animation clips "Zhu Zhu", "Mohts"(Motylki) and "Ebobo". You may have met its before. And I came up with idea to combine a universe of Gluk'oza's clips and main characters from "Captain Laserhawk". (i think this can be done not only wuth Gluk'oza's clips)
Here is my opinion how to place characters in the plot:
1. Main character (aka Gluk'oza) - Dolph Laserhawk
(i want to joke that she is Dolph and Sara's daugther, but i won't)
There are quite a lot of similarities between them. Both of them has a mechanical arm with diffence functions (and goverment gives them this)
2. Gluk's friends - Bullfrog/Jade and Pey'j
3. Gluk's doberman - ?
4. Billionaire with a cat - Pegan Mill (or Ramon, idk honestly how it'd be better)
There is his backgrouns story in first clip, and you can watch it and decide who could be him (and die in the end)
5. Two guardians (or who are they) which went in pursuit of escaped Gluk - any two from Niji6
6. People (and robots) who oppose animal fightings - people and hybrids who kill each other in third episode
7. Main villian - Ramon (or Pegan Mill or Sarah Fisher)
I think, in that AU he is a kind of mafia boss. He could think that the remaining unintelligent animals in the world do not bring any benefit to society, except for entertainment. Therefore, he uses them to animal fightings for the amusement of the masses (having previously changed some of them with mutations)
In general, here is my idea for new Laserhawk's AU. If you like it, let me know.

Do you have any advice on how to comprehend Orlando Furioso? Because for the life of me I can’t remember who’s who at any given point in the poem
I say this completely unironically. If you're a fate fan, try to think in terms of "is this a character I know from Fate" and "Is this character in any way related to the bitches I know from Fate." It does wonders.
Aside from that, it's a very long poem, and idk how the english translation is but the french one made me cough blood more than once, so don't feel too bad if you end up missing some bits of the poem, you'll catch them on reread. For now focus on the important lads (Agramant & Charlemagne fighting in the backgrouns; Bradamante & Ruggiero looking for each other; Angelica fleeing France) and if you see anyone whose deal fucks particularly hard jot their name down so you can follow their storyline more easily.

@define-lying replied to your post “writing my fics and planning the notes in advance...”:
Wait I’ve always been confused about this because of the scene in the first movie where the boys hide in Darla’s room and she learns the secret. Was there another bed in the room that I missed? Where was Mary during that scene? Genuinely would love your insight
yes SO. i have two pieces of evidence for this and if you really wanted it to, it could go either way but i will discuss that shortly. so exhibit A, we have this passage in the shazam junior novel (chapter 8) which originally planted the thought in my mind:
They could hear Rosa coming up the stairs. There was no time- no way they'd make it to Freddy's room. Billy opened the first door they came to, yanking Freddy in behind him and slamming it shut.
He turned around, heart hammering, and there, in the darkened room, was Darla. She was sitting up in bed, staring at them, her eyes wide with fear. In the other bed, Mary slept soundly, earplugs in and eye mask on.
"Billy? Freddy?" Rosa called from the hallway. They heard her footsteps pass Darla and Mary's door and head farther back toward Freddy's room.
(they do explain why she doesn't wake up during this scene and yes it's because of the mask and earplugs and personally i thought it was hilarious)
so there's that, of course, and we'll come back to the canonicity of this momentarily. there's also exhibit B: the deleted scene of darla and billy having a tea party, wherein you can see a second bed (and two desks) in darla's room:
this bed is not visible at all during the main scene in darla's room so i actually thought the room was much smaller than it actually is. it's hard for me to make out some of the details because youtube quality but i'm not really seeing anything that's explicitly mary's, but the entire room DOES look lived in so take that as you will.
NOW. this can go either way for a couple reasons. first, the junior novel is arguably not canon. some events are changed towards the end, and it follows the earlier/alternate version of sivana's backstory from the deleted scenes. the wizard also like straight up dies, but then again it really seemed like he did in the original before fotg so i'll cut that some slack. however, this is dc we're talking about. doesn't everyone just cherrypick canon from the comics anyway? jk but really i do what i want. secondly, there's also the argument of the canonicity of deleted scenes, but i feel like that's kind of neither here nor there for this one since it seems to have just been cut for runtime or something, not because it alters the story in any way. thirdly you could just make the argument that there happens to be another bed in darla's room for purposes of, idk, taking more kids in at some future point, because there's actually two sets of bunk beds in billy and freddy's room.
i will elaborate on this because i've been wanting to talk about it for ages but could never find an excuse. you can see in the first scene in the room that one set is to the right of the door upon entering, are parallel to each other, and pretty low to the ground:
while the billy sneaks out scene shows the ones they sleep on has the bottom one perpendicular to the top. you can see in the scene where the kids come in after victor tells him off that billy is sitting on this bottom bunk, and the beds are placed across from the door, in the corner of the room we don't really see much in any other scenes, which is why it's not something i caught on my first or second watch:
sidenote this room is shaped so weirdly my brain cannot comprehend it. also did anyone else notice his fully packed backpack sitting there on the bed? he was totally gonna run after this :) anyway if you pay attention you can see they're a lot taller than the other set; they actually stand next to them when freddy is showing billy his batarang. more unnecessary shots to prove my point (note how you can see the unused set in the background):
point being if you wanted to give mary her own room you could just make the argument that the novel isn't official canon and the bed is just there for in case they get another kid. but i think the original intent is that mary and darla share a room, just going off the junior novel, which also gives a valid and entertaining explanation for where mary was during the scene that took place in darla's room (or alternatively, you can go with the option presented in the billy sneaks out scene that she's just up late when everyone else is asleep or something). it can go either way but my instinct is yeah they share a room (there's only so many rooms in this house, after all, and there's eight of them) it's just never explicitly stated in the movie.
thank you for coming to my highly unnecessary TED talk.

Good morning; no question is a dumb question!
When I do my CC finds, I can't speak for everyone, but I place them in front of a white background, edit them then in photoshop and crop it, then throw them into canva, and then upload them here.
Hope this helps!

Do you think all eosinophils are female? Sometimes I like to hc that they only pick females because of the fact their vests are pink to avoid males being laughed at. (Even tho nothing is wrong with it)
No no definitely not, depending on the body, Eosinophils, just like other cell types, can be women, men, or both. Since they don't appear much in any other body, it is quite easy to assume they might all just be girls, but i would guess they aren't all like that.
I think the male Eosinophils also won't be made fun of for their color, gender roles don't exist in CaW, you are assigned roles for your type of cell, not gender. Even in episode 4 when we see Eosinophil being gossiped about, none of them mentioned she was a woman, only that she was a phagocyte and thought she would've easily murdered the bacterium. Male Eosinophils would absolutely be respected in their field, especially if they have such a large weapon for killing giant monster beings that crash into houses and terrorize cells. The pink in their clothes would not make that fact any less acknowledged. (We even see a pink memory book that the Memory T cell from main held in Ep3, no one really questioned that either)
Eosinophils are pink because they like to attach to the pink dye Eosin, not because they're a women dominated job type.

We all understand that Mulder would still be jealous of Ed Jerse because if he’d been more supportive to Scully, maybe he’d’ve been the one she’d’ve used to reclaim herself, right?

Does anyone else ever get the urge to make an RPG, but not admin it? Like, I don’t want the responsibility part, I just want to write up AU bios of lesser known Marvel characters, pick out FCs, make some promo graphics, and then... let someone else do the part where you have to recruit muns and come up with plots and moderate, because that is, unfortunately, Not My Thing.
Anyway, if anyone has the opposite problem and ever wants just...dozens of character profiles...hmu
