I didn't notice vals coat was his wings until you mentioned it, but side note, val and vox were literally frenching it in the last episode, vox literally had vals spit all over his mouth wdym they're not dating???

In episode 4, Masquerade, Charlie decides to put her foot down and use her authority as Princess of Hell to try and visit Angel at the studio to talk to Valentino, but, um, she cannot read a room to save her life, massively fucks it up, starts a small fire (not entirely her fault, that surge protector was a mess), and Valentino actually uses his wings and his weird smoke/pheromone powers to put out the flames (so also I've thought of him rescuing Reader from fires now because of course)

I'm not sure how the logic of the coat wrapping around his arms to form sleeves works but it fucks severely. then I also think, what are alternatives for a moth Reader? Someone sent in an ask about Reader being a silk moth so that you have the moth powers but you're ultimately helpless because you either don't have wings or they're too small for you to actually fly and escape ( because domesticated silk moths were bred to not be able to fly) and I think that would be great. Maybe Reader just has a tattoo of moth wings across their back, OR you have just, magical poofing powers where you can retract that shit back in, like Anthony's second pair of arms, and when they're hidden away, you have a tattoo. It leaves potential for hiding who you are from Val. This whole mystery of him chasing down some cute moth he sees in blurry footage from your first night in the afterlife and he doesn't realize the mysterious moth with rumors of a special dust that knocks you on your ass and makes you see stars is right next to him

I just. I keep thinking of butterfly/moth Readers and different powers they can have, like a silk moth Reader who can create silk and lowkey be Spiderman (or... bondage powers? 👀) , or the pheromone powers we mentioned before, or just a Reader who has their own fuck huge wings. Most moth species have female moths be physically larger than the males and I can just see like, a luna moth Reader who's wings are big and elegant and can become an evening gown or whatever, just a moth Reader whose wings become something pretty 😍 (ughhhh callback to my "Reader becomes an incognito Overlord called Big Blue" poeer fantasy except now I'm thinking of a Reader who's tall like Val and you're a blue morpho butterfly.

Reader being in the midst of being Val's weird pet slash forced partner, waking up and Valentino is sleeping beside you and he's just got those big ass wings open and they're draped all over the bed and they're covering you like a blanket while he squeaks in his sleep... you wind up as the filling in a VoxVal sandwich and those big red bitches are huge enough to cover everybody... also... what if Valentino used his wings lowkey like a tripwire so if you try to get up out of bed, you can't move without touching the wings, and he wakes up the instant you leave the bed, I'm talking you're 5 feet away still tippy toeing and you hear "you better get the fuck back here before I have to get you" and you're instantly scrambling back to his bed and now he's wrapping his arms around you so you can't leave again

I feel like Vivienne saying Val and Vox aren't dating is.... I saw someone phrase it as "dating is a really heteronormative concept and you'll have people be in domestic partnerships who aren't married" which is a good point and i also saw someone say "you've got two men throwing nasty hissy fits and probably having the world's best hate sex afterwards, you know Valentino isn't taking this man to dinner"

I feel like staticmoth IS sort of canon but it's not, explicitly like, they would DIE for each other or anything, idk. Maybe Valentino is only truly capable of loving himself and he loves the attention Vox gives him, and Vox is toxic codependent but he truly loves Alastor, who fucking knows, I'm still over here writing them both as my favorite problematic horny queers. Now I can just see Val and Vox fighting for "custody" of their shared darling, arguing who gets them which days, stealing them from each other, sabotaging each other's dates, just being selfish nasty evil obsessive gross dudes 😩❤️

Marcy Burns/Elleve the Amender

-4 feet tall

-its mentioned that she has "rainbow robes" and ive decided to interpret that as sunset colored

-pre mining accident Marcy has longer hair and has already lost her eye to unknown circumstances

-post mining accident Marcy cut her hair and it turned whiter, and she switched to more monochrome clothing-symbolizes her turning away from her faith and also grieving her husband

-still wears her wedding ring, and keeps Fred's on a chain with a locket of his picture

-we know literally nothing abt Fred but I think he was also a halfling and had a sick ass mustache

-the symbol on pre-accident Marcy's eyepatch + staff is supposed to be of the Diarians (followers of Dia). The circle is Faeza, the hands are Dia herself, and the six teardrop shapes are the Diagems. Also meant to resemble a flower as a reference to Gum Gum

-magic goblet-does it have a name? Anyways Paralyte stole it from the Sheerays so I gave it an aquatic wave/seaweed design (water = life)

-idk how to design tattoos, but other clerics of dia would probably have similar ones-i think hers are religious in nature

-had the most satisfying color palette for me- i love green and so does he

-i rewatched the hobbit/lotr trilogies so Ostin is def inspired by that-gave him braided hair and armor

-idk how a tuning sword works. Like a bident maybe? Ive drawn the sword in his right hand (the one with missing fingers) but he might prefer to fight left-handed. Idk ive trained with longswords before but ive never lost any fingers so i cant say

-magic lute-gave it a greener/mossier color palette to show it was from the Elderpines. The strings are vines and the rosette has a tree design

-dont know where Ostin's scars came from either, maybe he really did fight a dragon maybe he didnt-doesnt stop him

-post-Wight Winter i gave Slique a grey streak to match with Spectril

-also gave him a cool colored eye highlight for the same reason

Leonard Lank/Spectril the Surreptitious

-i put his height around 5'7/5'8

-made the rogue armor sharp and dark-had to recolor it from the origianly palette bc it was too dark tho lmao. Fur collar to foreshadow his time in the Ethereal Plane

-post-Wight Winter i gave him simple, more homey clothes bc at that point he had a family and wasn't focused on fighting. The fur is not bear fur i swear

-already mentioned it before but his hair started turning white + he grew it out/braided it back.

-the gloves have two talons on the pointer and middle finger, based very specifically off a homebrew item i saw where the hand kind of looks like a biting snake. It contains a venom that paralyzes enemies and came from the Sheerays

-put a snake on her sword. Cause why not. Thats why she teamed up with Brink they are both snake lovers

-not drawn, but she would have a snake tattoo somewhere on her body

-hands are turning dark at the fingertips as a side effect of using the gloves so often. Her veins are visibly green because shes pale as hell and also suffering from long term exposure to Sangrianite

-facial scar-man im sorry i dont know where this one came from either. Kyborg shot her once tho i do remember that

Bo Bender/Grislee the Groundbreaker

-height is about 6'6, very tall lady

-all i had to go off was red bandana so its like her thing

-her locs are made of rocks and also have veins of gold in them

-the stuff on her shoulders and hammer are lichen-she takes such long naps outside they've started growing on her. And also earth genasi

-when shes raging she has magma veins coming from her eyes and hands, and the inside of her body also glows

-when shes not raging it cools to golden veins-still very hot to the touch sometimes

-didnt have a lot if ideas for her second outfit but i gave her a bearskin bc she is "grizzly"

-hammer is the other item from the Sheerays and is pretty much just a trunk on a stick in terms of design. Combined with the lute tho, they are probably some of the most powerful items in Faeza

Ok what is on her forehead?

At first I thought it was a tattoo like the others but it looks three dimensional, especially in the third and fifth ones. It could be a piercing but I looked it up and I couldn't find any forehead piercings that go out like that; you can put a stud piercing on your third eye but not a hoop piercing, there's not enough skin to hold it. But y'know this is a fantasy land so it doesn't have to be realistic.

But my autistic ass didn't like that answer -bc everything needs to make sense, even magic- so I did a bunch of googling. I might be wrong, but the only culture I could find that wears crescent shapes between their eyebrows like that is the Hindu population in India, but they don't wear them to the side like that, they have them facing up.

There's also this picture. The tattoos Dr. Blitzmeyer was going to have were going to be magical and taken from different cultures/religions as she traveled and studied. They were going to be invisible normally and glow when she used her magic. However, she's got those three dots on her forehead. They're not glowing even tho all the other tattoos are so they're probably something else. It is possible that they're a piercing (search third eye piercing) and in terms of makeup, people do wear bindis like that. The only picture I could find was from Tamil, south India, but it looks very similar to the drawing here. Honestly, this could be either a piercing or kohl, idk.

(Fun side note I learned: in Sindh, south Pakistan, Muslim women also wear bindis made of three dots but they're in more of a triangle shape than a line)

Tattoo/Soulmate AU People with magic typically get into tattooing because they have the ability to make soulmate tattoos, but it varies depending on romantic, platonic/queerplatonic, familial feelings or other ones. Trey, Vil and Leona run a shop together, Deuce wants to join, Viz accidentally becomes his adoptive sister it's all fun and relatively low on the angst actually lmao

FNAF AU lmao this one has so much angst but you probably knew that already, inspired more by the pizzaplex/security breach than any other FNAF game, but a lot of the same type of lore

Coraline AU in which Viz gets to be Leona's big (half) sister for once. Falena is the eldest and treated with respect, everyone knows Viz isn't the king's biological daughter but they have to put up with her because the queen does, and Leona was the attempt between the king and queen to fix everything - it didn't work and he feels that. Ends up using an escape to another world to try and avoid that feeling, only to realize something much more sinister on the other side.

Biological Sister AU not super intuitive, seeing as above, Viz is Leona's half sister, but in this au she is also related him, just via the king this time. Don't ask me why I named it this, but it is what it is, she's taken in by the royal family early on and tries to bring it together. Idk it was a fun idea at the time.

Genderbent AU I wanted to explore Vizzie's trauma if she was around a bunch of other girls instead of guys and it goes Poorly but it's fun lmao

DnD AU b/c I've never played DnD and wanted to kinda learn so it's DnD inspired but the rules/roles aren't super strict but the worldbuilding is SO MUCH FUN (there are SO many dynamics all going on at the same time its GREAT)

Medieval Fantasy AU This is moreso my S/O's AU than it is mine but I wanted to talk about it because it also has a lot of fun worldbuilding in it that we did together (like the effects of OB and whatnot in this world)(also heavily inspired by DnD)

Arranged Marriage AU Viz and Riddle both have very overbearing, traditional moms and end up together against each others wills and have to unlearn their distaste for each other before they can start really working together to find ways to make each other happy

Greek God/Epic AU In which Viz takes on the Odyssey with Leona as her guide - he wants to prove himself worthy of the title of a God, and she will do anything to protect her people. It gets Complicated fast. (I actually have art I drew for this au lmao)

Poppy Playtime AU Really fucking depressing tbh, again, upon the perfection of Ortho's robotic aids (he never died, just severely incapacitated), all the other children that were used as test subjects were abandoned as half done projects and experiments that resembled toys

Dance AU I throw a bunch of the characters into dance. Vil, Riddle and Neige are on top but all three of them are having Gender Issues but in Big Denial about it.

Fairy AU My S/O also developed this one initially but I have a few different headcanons from them :D

OKAY LET ME TALK ABOUT THE MOST MINISCULE YET MOST IMPORTANT DETAIL TO ME AND ME ALONE FIRST. that being the symbol on the brats belt. it was actually inspired/based off of this post which really stuck with me with me after reading it which i later realized was bc the "that something has been completely reversed" REMINDED ME OF THIS POST OF YOURS. i don't think im especially good at theory crafting but. idk i think there could be Something about how after judge came and turned germa into mercenaries their symbol turned from what once symbolized 'purity' into the skull of war mongers and then BACK to purity after 0124 get germa on the right path... poetry or smthn. ANYWAYS yah shoe shiners got a pretty basic fit bc like i said in the og ask, hes a sora warrior of the sea fan, once he saw the raidsuits irl methinks he'd want to stay pretty close to the og design. HOWEVER he refuses to drop the hat (much to Niji's dismay) and i came up with a reason besides 'its one piece and therefore there's GOTTA be a kid with a weird hat that they're attached to': and that is the fact that it hides his eyebrows. Ooooooh thank you!!! I've thought about hypothetical animatics for some of my OCs before, but... not ALL of them, so this will be interesting!

Rae: Free by Mother Mother. I'm imagining every "Love let my love inside go... free" being a bloom of her abilities, all this bright silver light as she puts shields around what she loves, and all the other parts of the song being some gentler moments from her life.

Robin: I think it would be fun to play into her musical theatre/opera side - Let's Hear It for the Boy by Deniece Williams (from Footloose). The animatic would jump between her onstage, playing out the song as an actor in the musical, and some little soft scenes of her and Peter being all cute together.

Madison: I know when you recommended it first I said that Belladonna by Ava Max was more of a Nikoletta song (and it is, but I have a different animatic idea for her here), but it could work for Madison too I think. It would focus on her mutation, maybe a few fight scenes with her blinking in and out of sight with her glass knives. Then we see her knives get shattered, and the fins and spines breaking through her skin (sort of a stylized version of what happens in her story), and then the final chorus is her with her enhanced mutation (really driving home the "poison/venom" themes there)

Ophelia: Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar. I'd definitely go with a stylized fight scene for her, probably the fight against Charybdis since that's her biggest fight scene. I'm sure there are other songs that would fit her, but... idk man, Heartbreaker is just permanently linked to Ophelia in my mind, I really need a fight scene set to that for her.

Gia: Absolute Lithops Effect by the Mountain Goats. I'm imagining it starting with Gia fresh out of HYDRA, limping on an old and unfitting prosthetic and opening up this rundown and boarded-up shop in Hell's Kitchen. Gradually we see the green come into her life again: she cleans up her shop and paints it in bright colors, flowers bloom, her clover thrives across the back wall of her shop, she gets a new prosthetic and bright tattoos slowly gather on her skin as she rebuilds her life.

Jasper: Falling Away With You by Muse. I already used it for a Heartstrings chapter, but it could also work as this quieter, emotional piece for an animatic. With the lyrics, and the way it switches between these softer verses and a more intense chorus, I could see a series of flashbacks between the soft, lighthearted start to their relationship with Kyle, and then the angsty journey to recovery and readjustment after he dies and is brought back.

Kestrel: This is another one you recommended, but Daffodil by Florence + The Machine. I could see a lot of nature imagery, and a lot of Kestrel's transformations into various different animals. I don't have a particular story in mind, just a cool showcase of Kestrel as a character.

Katherine: The Lion's Roar by First Aid Kit! I can see Katherine wandering through the desert, with golden magic twining around her hands like ribbons, until this mirage appears ahead of her: at first it wavers, then solidifies into a silhouette of a lion, then splits again into two figures walking towards her - Bastet and Sekhmet. They greet her like family members, maybe pull her into a hug or something, then disappear back into the desert.

Quinn: Breakdown by Icon for Hire. I could see this as a past/present thing, where the first half of the video is her before the accident, running and parkouring with her first crew - and then the music cuts off, utter silence, black and white as she falls and hits the ground. The silence lingers for a few long moments.... and then we're back to the song, full color and vibrancy again, with her post-accident still slipping through the crowds and picking pockets.

Eris: Guillotine Dreams by KiNG MALA for sure!! I want to see Eris fighting like an animal, covered in blood but laughing through the whole way, just causing absolute havoc. I just... I want to see them being an utter riot!!

Nikoletta: I still love Whispers by Halsey for her (thanks again for the rec!) and I think that the tone of it really suits her. I think it would be a very stark animatic, a lot of Nikoletta sitting alone in these dark rooms, a lot of black and white with very few details around her (as an echo of her feeling isolated both internally and externally). Either it could just stay there and be an angst piece, or there could be the gradual addition of colors as she bonds with the Squad - yellow for Rick, red for Harley, eventually a whole myriad of colors for Abner.

Jimmy: Hemorrhage (in my Hands) by Fuel. I'm imagining it starting out pretty angsty... Jimmy's lost kiss, him getting shot in the chest and watching the blood spray out into his hands, him waking up as a ghost and wandering Coney Island, and then... right at the end of the song, while he's on his knees and trying desperately to catch the blood spilling out... we see a figure step in and offer him a hand up, and the blood flow begins to slow.

Prometheus: I know I don't usually include them in the lineup, but... I wrote a whole fic about their transformation from a nightmare into a dream, and it's based on The Calling by the Amazing Devil. I would kill to see that whole transformation sequence set to the song.

Eddie Munson’s life has been a little more difficult than usual since you joined his band, Corroded Coffin, three months ago… for several reasons.

The first: you’re the worst. You scoff at his jokes. Make sarcastic quips about his haircut, how he’s an Ozzy-wannabe, how he missed that chord in the last run-through.

The second: he’s completely fucking obsessed with you. Partly because of your carefree, deadpan attitude and bone-dry wit, but also because… well, there isn’t enough paper in the world to write down all the things he loves about you. You’re super hot, for starters, all grunge with piercings, tattoos, and an attitude. The type of woman he’d elope with at the drop of a hat because he knows there’s nobody in the world cooler or more metal. But there’s also the way you strum your damn bass guitar. The way you get so lost in the music that your eyes close and your face does this thing that, fine, he might imagine as your orgasm face when he’s alone in his room at night, thinking of you.

And your fingers. They move roughly and produce magic. The band was shit before you. Now, it’s pretty damn rad, and he’s not afraid to admit you’re the reason.

Tonight he finds a third reason as to why you make his life more difficult, and that’s the way his stomach burns hot when he sees you talking to the stagehand before your gig. The place stinks of stale beer and weed and he’s certain that, behind the curtain, there are probably less than twenty people waiting to hear them play. And it’s pretty obvious you don’t belong in a seedy bar just outside of Hawkins, talking to a sweaty stagehand with an oily smirk that leaves Eddie unsettled. 

But there you are. And there Eddie is, on the outside. You laugh at something the stagehand says, and Eddie’s jaw clenches. You’ve never laughed with him like that, no matter how hard he tries to match your humour. He goes back to tuning his guitar, hoping it might tune you out, too. He hums the lyrics of their first song just to make sure he remembers them. Only he doesn’t, and he ends up mumbling some bullshit instead. He can’t fucking concentrate on anything but his tight chest. The want he feels for you, and the want you’ll never feel for him.

“Get a grip, Munson,” he mutters to himself, yanking his guitar off with a huff and propping it against the amp. He scratches his jaw roughly, restless, and not in the usual way he is before gigs. This isn’t excitement. This is plain old jealousy. He hates himself for it. 

And he can’t help it. He looks over his shoulder again, just once. You’re not laughing anymore. In fact, the look of disgust on your face is clear, because it’s usually reserved for him. He frowns — until the stagehand brushes his hand up your arm, right to your neck. Your chin. 

You step back. “What are you doing?”

Eddie moves closer so he can better hear the conversation.

“Oh, come on.” The stagehand runs a finger through the ends of your dyed hair. “You don’t want to get warmed up before the show?”

You pale, and it’s all it takes for Eddie to spring into action. He marches over, hands balling into fists. But it happens in slow motion. The stagehand tries to corner you, his wandering hands inching towards your breasts. And you… well, you do what Eddie had intended. You slap him. 

“I didn’t say you could touch me, asshole,” you ground out. Eddie comes to a stop in front of you, speechless. 

“Fuck. Are you okay?”

The stagehand’s nostrils flare, his face full of contempt. A man who isn’t used to being fought back. “Wow. Didn’t take you as a boring fucking prude.”

Eddie sees red, not just at the words, but the way they’re said. He shoves the stagehand back, wedging himself between you and him. “Don’t fucking —”

“Eddie. Let it go. He’s not worth it.” You yank him away by the sleeve of his leather jacket, but Eddie is reluctant to let anything go. He’s shaking with anger, even if you don’t seem rattled in the slightest. You might be a pain in his ass, but you don’t deserve this. Nobody does, but… god, not you. 

“Eddie.” Your tone becomes terse: a command rather than a plea. Eddie sucks in a ragged breath, scowling at the stagehand a final time. 

“If I see you talking to or laying a hand on her or anyone else like that again, I’ll fucking make you wish you hadn’t. Asshole.”

Your tug is tough now, and finally, he stumbles away with you. “What the fuck? I’m not going to let him talk to you like that. Jesus Christ.”

“I can fight my own battles, Munson.” Your eyes are stony as ever as they run across Eddie. “You’re not my knight in shining armour. Now let. It. Go. He’s learnt his lesson.” You survey the stagehand, a shimmer of pride in your eyes at his venomous scowl across the room. And that’s it. You cross your arms; walk away to join the rest of the band. You sling the strap of your bass guitar across your shoulder, and Eddie watches like a lost puppy. He can’t even help you right, it seems. 

But he does as you say. He lets it go, not without a final narrowing of his eyes at the slimy bastard. And he can’t pretend that he isn’t a little bit turned on by the way nothing fazes you, even when it bugs him to no end. He just wants to be the exception, but he’s found nothing is. You walk around like nothing ever bothers you. Like you feel nothing.

And he… he feels everything.

Eddie always feels like a livewire on stage, and tonight, he most definitely has some excess energy to burn. He slips into his own bubble as he plays, jumping on the stage so hard he wonders if the wood might collapse under his feet. It’s easy to forget about you until the riff of one of his favourite songs comes, the part where the two of you always compete for the best runs. He sticks his tongue out just like he’s seen on MTV, muscle memory pulling him towards you as his riffs grow in pitch and tempo, his fingers dancing along the length of the fretboard. His fingers will be torn up tomorrow, but he doesn’t care. Not when he glimpses you joining in, bathing in the golden spotlight like you’re the only person in the world. You’re slick with sweat, your heavy eye makeup running, but it only makes you more metal. Sexier. And god, he can’t help it. Watching you get so into your music gives him a damn hard-on behind his guitar. You lift your gaze, stepping out of the spotlight to square up to him. A small grin curls across your face as you play louder, faster. It’s like fucking foreplay, this part of the show, and when it reaches its climax —

You meet his gaze, and he’s certain it’s hunger he sees there. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking. Either way, his smile widens as he writhes and squirms with the notes, licking hips lips before pressing his back to yours. His shoulders and spine tingle with the contact, even through all the layers of leather and denim keeping you apart. And he swears to god, there has never been anything better than this. It’s the only time he can truly be allowed into your world, when he plays with you. It’s the only way you communicate with him without barriers or glares or barbed insults. He soaks up every minute of it, because he finally feels as though he knows you in these moments. As if he sees you. And you see him. And he lets you.

So you keep playing together, and the rest of the world becomes nothing.

Performing gives you a better high than any drug you’ve ever taken. You leave the stage trembling and sweaty and raw, somehow. Your entire body is just nerve endings, sparking, an electricity cable chopped in half. 

But there’s something more tonight. The guys cheer as they get backstage, high-fiving and hugging, because you all know it’s the best show you’ve ever done, even if not many people were there to see it.

Eddie is the last, and his cheeks are swollen and dimpled with a gigantic grin, his eyes wild and his hair mussed. “Fuck, yes!” he shouts, sticking his tongue out and lifting his arms in the air. “Fucking. Epic. Best show yet!”

You scrape your hair back, still breathless. Your core is still burning from that riff off. It always turns you on, the way Eddie strums. You can’t imagine how well his deft fingers would run across his body. How his thrusts would turn as manic as they do in the song’s climax if he buried himself inside you.

God, you crave him. You chat with the guys a few moments longer before packing up your guitar and taking a sip of the lukewarm beer you’d opened before going on stage. 

“You were pretty fucking awesome onstage tonight.” Eddie is beside you suddenly. “Not that you’re not always awesome, but… the energy was just electric, huh?”

“Uh-huh.” 

“We were gonna go get a drink or two at the bar. Are you coming?”

You’re not sure you can. You need release. You’re throbbing with how badly you need it. All that pent-up energy. Playing usually gives you what you need, but you’re more wound up tonight, still thinking about how Eddie’s tongue reaches his chin when he’s really concentrating. And the way he was so quick to defend you earlier.

Not that you needed him to. But still… having someone fight your battles for you isn’t something you’re used to, and it felt… okay. 

“I don’t know, Munson. Got some things to take care of.”

Eddie’s brows draw together. “Is it about earlier?” He glances across the room. The stagehand is nowhere in sight, though, thank god. “Look, I’m really sorry if I stepped on your toes or whatever. I was just trying to help. That guy was an ass, and —”

“I’m over it,” you lie. “Honestly. I just have some things to take care of.”

“Like what?”

Like my raging fucking lust, you almost spit, but the last thing you want to do is boost his ego. Give him ideas. Even if the thought of pulling him into the nearest bathroom and ripping off his clothes crosses your mind. 

“Just stuff.” You feign nonchalance, crouching to fasten your guitar case. 

Eddie sighs and scratches his head, leaning against the wall with one foot crossed over the other. He looks… hurt. “Is it always gonna be like this?”

You freeze finally. “Like what?”

He motions between the two of you. “You know. Like this. Like, I’m trying to buy you a drink and you want absolutely nothing to do with me outside of the band.”

You shake your head at that. “You used to getting your own way, huh, Munson?”

“With you? Never.” A smirk crosses his face, and you can’t help but return it. “I just… I was sort of hoping you might let me buy you a drink one of these days. Feels like you don’t really want to be part of the band.”

“I don’t. I’m just biding my time until a less suckier one comes along.” You’re teasing, and you smile up at him to make sure he knows it. Corroded Coffin might be mocked and ignored, and you might always be destined for grimy bars and small audiences, but playing bass with the guys, with Eddie, is the only time you ever really feel… anything. Like you’re flatlining, and the music revives you. It’s not the same on your own. You’ve tried it. It’s the way everything comes together when you all play. The way you and Eddie dance around on stage, bouncing off one another and being as dramatic, as metal, as humanly possible while you headbang and pull those fucking guitar faces, your hips always pointing towards each other as though wanting to meet. 

“I’m hurt.” He clutches his chest, rooting you to the spot with those puppy dog eyes of his. “Devastated, even.”

“You’ll get over it.”

“Corroded Coffin won’t. You’re the best bass player in Indiana.”

“Trying to climb up my ass now, Munson?” Still, you try not to blush at the compliment. It’s not that you don’t know you’re good. It’s just that the idea of him thinking so… it takes you right back to that stage. Your place in the world. One you get to share with somebody when you spend the rest of your life alone. 

Eddie lets out a “Pfft.”You’re gonna like me one of these days, Y/N. Just wait.”

You bat your lashes at him innocently. “Don’t hold your breath.”

But he smirks, and he clasps his hands together, his silver rings glinting in the light. “Just one drink. C’mon. Doesn’t even have to be here.”

Right. Because the outskirts of Hawkins are rife with nightlife. You roll your eyes, tucking your hair behind your ear. “Fine. One drink.”

He beams like you’ve given him the best gift in the world, and then he takes your guitar case and yanks you along, his hand in yours.

And you think, oh, fuck, because your stomach still swirls and your heart still pounds, and maybe it’s not performing that does it. Maybe it’s just him.

Merrill is smarter and much more responsible than a lot of people assume she is. She's aware of the risks of what she's doing with blood magic and the mirror, judged them worthwhile, and takes precautions when doing things that are especially dangerous (like bringing Hawke to supervise her meeting the pride demon in act 3)

The next Adventure is Nigh episode won't be out until March 2nd ;_; but it's okay! There was a looooot in the latest episode.

Sigmar is not making it out with any of his arms intact, I see. Poor guy cannot catch a break - but also I think that you probably shouldn't be getting magic tattoos from a random guy you meet in a prison????? maybe??? So yeah idk this feels like a fitting punishment. The flesh bow is super duper cool but how much of a long term effect will this have on Sigmar? We'll have to see if Sebastian Piss is gonna return, and if so, how. Love how the party didn't try to sneak their weapons in and their punishment for that was getting a cursed weapon tattoo lmao.

Mortimer is officially and totally a shapeshifter, woop-di-doo. We still don't know what makes him able to do that, or what he 'truly' looks like. But yup, he can change shape at any time. He's trusted Grinderbin completely with this knowledge now, AND he gave up his easy chance to kill the queen in order to wipe out Cheserick (spelling???) instead. Given the way things are going down, that was probably a good call, because Cheserick's death has probably stopped the robot army thing from happening.

Grinderbin continues to git gud at lying. We'll see if Mortimer lies to Grinderbin about the poison, or trusts Grinderbin with his secrets after the whole shitshow is over. There was a scrapped side quest plot that was planned for Mortimer and Sigmar to do together, like Dabarella and Grinderbin did theirs together, but at this point it feels like we're gonna need a Mortibin SQ too, just to get their shit figured out.

Dabarella is a fucking combat monster, dealt 20 radiant damage to Kalandra without even trying. I don't know what Kalandra is capable of but she and Sigmar are in a lot of danger rn just trying to hold her off.

Eggelier and Beyonce are both basically impotent at the moment. However, we still don't know if Pikeworth was lying to the party when he said that Beyonce was going to do something dangerous. It was Cheserick that ended up being the major shit-heel, but did Pikeworth know this? Bonesy and Bread are both here! But Bread is about to go to the gate where the party is fighting Kalandra, which is, uh, not a good place for him to be.

Filming for season 4 starts in March! Remasters of the old episodes start in Spring and will continue through the Summer, which means we'll probably have S4 starting next Winter, assuming no plans change. There's a documentary about the creation of the show itself in the works. They usually do some kind of Q&A stream, so maybe we'll get that after filming for S4 wraps up?

But also she lied about being a wizard for seven years so Probably something along those lines. The Sorcerous Charlatan or something is that dumb

Yes to scars, no to tattoos. She has your general wear and tear of doing field work and then a side of adventuring to search for hidden information (even before being tadpoled), but most notably are the scars on her lips and forehead. She got hit by falling rubble while escaping The Ruin with her remaining friends.

Yes, two slashes across his nose. His opponent, both on stage and in real life, didn’t pull his blows. It was an intentional strike that knocked him out for an important show one season.

Mercenary fighter for the sake of bg3. Idk, she was my first playthrough and I didn’t really wanna start with a whole new chatavyer so I borrowed one of my other ones. Anyway, something to do with that.

Yes to both. She’s covered in tattoos of alchemical symbols because she thinks it looks cool, but she also has burn scars all over from her lab exploding.

finished an old sketchbook (which I didn't know was possible????) but anyways y'all get a doodle dump here enjoy (sorry some are sideways my phone is being big dumb)

very brief explanations under the cut

1- character design stuff for an apocalypse-ish character i made. his name is dev and I love him :) he likes maps and starting fights and he transed his gemder

2- random Fullmetal alchemist doodles. I truly believe alphonse would just.... pick people up. also winry has a trash sleep schedule.

3- a dnd character idea! snake cowboy bard names moke, he left home to try and save up for a ranch of his own and he's refusing to admit he's addicted to adventuring.

4- dnd doodles from a few sessions ago. there uh there were some events. I totally didn't jump into the ocean to avoid my party members pestering me for killing my ex-bestie who turned evil. and like I'm not saying she deserved it but she also was 100% down for killing a kid in cold blood and she got me exiled. oh and turning people into weird mind controlled spike monsters. that too.

5- I had this idea for a magical girl necromancer. she's super sweet and innocent but she also raises the dead. she probably has zombie helpers to carry her school books.

6- more session doodles. most the magnus archives honestly. there's a handful of tims (stoker and gunpowder variants) (I do think tma Tim and mechs Tim would be cool with each other. or maybe just instantly kill each other) and some of the distortion and some other random stuff. I really enjoy drawing the distortion. I think maybe the hair is really fun, or the fucked up hands.

7- most recent session doodles. mostly npcs, there's one family that has a near monopoly on the town were in, apparently the matriarch had a very active social life. and by that I mean the dwarf who runs the armory and the human who runs the tavern and the driver who runs the tailor shop are all siblings. also me and another party member have accidentally started a war for the driders heart. (IM GOING TO WIN) (FLORA CHOOSE ME PLEASE) is it weird my first experience with romance is a character played by me and a completely fictional npc

8- old design. I have this tattooed now

9- random woods character. I don't know if I ever figured out their name. basic idea is they were a very young immortal when the world ended so now centuries later they just wander through the woods that have reclaimed the planet. every so often these weird extra dimensional shepherd things stop by to check in. they actually stop by earth a lot more often than they used to now that they know this person is here, they were very surprised to find out humanity had been born and died within the span of two visits. bit of dialogue I thought up once: "so young one, are you the first of your kind?" "actually I think I'm the last."

10- old inktober drawing from like 2022 that I never actually finished. or was it 2021.... idk whatever the prompt was bouquet and kaz found inej some flowers. god I still really like this drawing actually. I should redraw it in such a way I'm not scared of ruining it by finishing it

this is my dcu oc. his name is yaghma (based off the yagma tribe, one of the founding groups of the kara-khanid empire) and is a favorite assassin/"mcguffin"-everything guy to the rich and powerful in gotham, as well as the secretary of the gotham occult society.

weirdly long bio that is poorly written under the cut LOL

his father, a B lister hitman named sulayman who made many enemies, had become a target of the league, and caused the entire farm in which the family lived to be razed. yaghma, understandably upset at his family and house being burnt down and killed, tried to attack the assassins, but was instead killed. He made an alright showing for an untrained 8 year old from rural kyrgyzstan, so talia revived him using a lazarus pit and took him in (causing extreme fear of death), where he eventually worked his way up in the league. yaghma does extremely well for himself as an assassin, even impressing ra's and making a lasting impression, but growing tension in his relationship with talia leads him to feel more and more insecure and unhappy with his place in the organisation. various jealousies, resentments, grudges, etc.. as well as yaghma's crippling fear of his own mortality, had started to sour his relationship with talia (his only ally in the league of shadows because he's a massive bitch) due to the fact that he saw her not allowing him usage of the lazarus pits as a betrayal of sorts. yaghma ends up striking out, taking with him one of the swords of an original member of the league of shadows.

i feel like yaghma has some kind of raging mommy issues. talia and him have this strange, toxic, brother sister relationship, where they both take from each other (comfort, security, esteem, familial love) and then also try to one up each other, and harm each others' standing. neither of them are really "givers". when damian leaves as well, talia probably just feels really hopeless, because everything she holds dear leaves and harms her. all three of them (yaghma, damian, and talia) take after ra's in this respect, their lack of generosity LOL.

yaghma travels the world for a bit looking for an alternate cure for mortality, but finds no conclusive answer. he settles down in gotham and starts a new life there, under the false identity of "yaghma karimov", an accountant for the osheroff family, which owns the jaqueline-orientales grand hotel in gotham, as well as several other hotels. he pretends to be the gigolo of esther osheroff, the lonely sole heir.

as he worms his way into high society, he catches the attention of the waynes due to his familiar demeanor (having had crossed paths with them as a masked assassin before, probably), and the nighttime counterpart of the waynes find themselves hunting for the party responsible for a series of unfortunate deaths and corporate sabotage.

idk the rest, but he somehow ends up in a weird romance plot with cass, where she thinks it's just them hooking up but he's head over heels for her and would sit on a hot grill, bare ass naked, if it would make her happy. the girl he is kissing in one of the images is supposed to be cass.

dick hates him (not because of cass, just because yaghma's a gift like that)

fun fact: yaghma is incredibly superstitious, because his grandma was a witch. which is why he has yantra and sutra tattoos, to try to protect himself against death and black magic, and he wears an alligator tooth necklace, keeps crystals and rabbit's feet in his pockets, has an evil eye in his suit jacket etc etc.

anadil, hester, and dot! for the ask game

Headcanon A:  realistic

anadil: i think i first read this in one of ren's fics? but anadil is so incredibly royalty-coded. i think she's the kind of person who's like, rejecting the path that was set out for her. so that's why she's willing to be a sidekick, she's not looking for glory and being known, she could have that as a princess. she just wants to be her own person.

hester: she's not really pure evil. her evil was something she worked for, learning spells and potions etc etc, and not something she was naturally born with. i like the idea of her working to be better than her mother (hansel and gretel's witch), i think it's touched on in tlea?

dot: her power actually reaches way further than she thinks. like, she could turn someone's blood into hot chocolate kind of power. but she doesn't know because she's dot, she never wanted to hurt anyone, so she never tried. i just like the idea of her being more powerful than everyone else!

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

anadil: went on a date with / tried dating beatrix once (and actually had fun) (and pissed hester off so much she asked anadil out instead)

hester: gets love letters from all the evers who think her goth vibe is hot (it is!) she gives the sweets and flowers and stuff to dot, and the letters themselves to anadil to deface and send back.

dot: not sure if this is funny :[ but i like the idea of her having an advice column (like aunt agony). i think it could be funny if the right person wrote it, unfortunately i am not that person sjdkfsh

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

anadil: watched her grandmother (the witch who got killed in that barrel) (who probably raised her. i imagine anadil as an orphan) die, and became withdrawn and quiet because of it. she was basically an outcast until she went to SGE and joined the coven.

hester: not sure on the Details but i imagine she went through some pretty terrible things to get her demon. like got Magical Surgery to get it intertwined with her soul and sat through getting the actual tattoo- at what? age twelve? younger than that? like, she was so motivated to have power and to keep herself safe (also as an orphan, since her mother died probably when she was young) that she was willing to go through excruciating pain and make all those sacrifices. ouch.

dot: developed her food powers as a coping mechanism- having chocolate as one of the only happy parts of her childhood, maybe her dad (the sheriff of nottingham and an asshole) gave her chocolate when he was proud of her? and she just internalised that because after a while her father didn't care enough to give her chocolate. she had to make her own.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

anadil: she has a good fashion sense! she's sleek and trendy and professional! she even dresses hester up sometimes

hester: she's trans baby! (this is unrealistic because of soman's terrible, terrible ideas about gender)

dot: i like to think she and kiko get together. idk i think nice girls deserve to be happy with other nice girls.
