i love the Ferins and their fire motif

Ava Ferin is a controlled blaze, she is a fire that burns what it is supposed to, she is strong and her flames rarely lash out but when they do they burn who they touch. She has control and poise and elegance. She is the beauty that comes in destruction. The unfortunate thing with a controlled burn though is it will go out, and it goes out by those who set its hand.

Jayson Ferin is the match, he started all the fires. his fire is destructive and it destroys what it wants. there is a control to it, setting what he wishes ablaze yet it burns bright and powerful. He is the fear that goes through your gut when you smell smoke.

Drey Ferin is the embers, his fire has been burned out but he is still fighting still trying to burn despite the dark smoke that curls away. He finished his destruction yet he won’t go out. those around him nurture the embers trying to relight that blaze inside him.

Jay Ferin is a wildfire. she was started by man, yet she broke from her confinement, she burns out of control. she is a bright flame that licks out at everyone around her. She is an angry blaze that refuses to be contained and tamed by that which made her. She will not be put out, she will burn herself out eventually but on her own time. She will not go down without a fight. she is destruction, she is warmth, she is light.

september 22: yellow - 396 words - @rosekiller-microfic

Evan looks up at the time when he hears the keys in the lock. It’s almost six, normally he would be making dinner right now. Instead he has been sitting here for more than an hour with this stupid thing and he still can’t figure out how to solve it.

“Ugh, I can’t get this stupid yellow square in the right place without fucking up the blue ones and when I try to fix those I’ll fuck up the red and green ones,” Evan complains when Barty enters their living room. “It’s just undoable.”

“Let me see,” Barty says, holding his hand out for Evan to place the cube in. Evan hands it over to him and watches him inspect the cube. “As if you know what you’re doing,” Evan comments.

He watches Barty look at the cube for a few more seconds before he starts turning the first row and in a few quick moves the Rubik’s cube is solved.

"How did you…," Evan starts, unable to finish his sentence when he sees the way Barty is looking at him. If the quick work with his hands wasn’t hot enough the satisfaction on his face really does him in. Confidence really is a good look on him.

“Ta-da,” Barty says flatly, handing him back the cube. “Oh honey, close your mouth you’ll catch a fly,” he adds with a smile and a wink. 

Evan drops the cube and takes Barty’s hands to pull the other man onto the couch. As soon as he is within reach Evan’s lips find Barty’s. Their kiss is hot and passionate, Evan’s way to show how much he admires him. Evan maneuvers their bodies so Barty is on his back with Evan straddling his hip without disconnecting their lips once.

Evan starts kissing Barty’s cheek, then his jaw and down his neck, where he bites down just above his clavicle. He hears Barty gasp and can feel his hands gliding over his shoulders into his hair where he pulls lightly.

Evan lets go and looks back up, right into a pair of dark brown eyes. “You’re so hot,” he whispers and places a quick kiss on Barty’s forehead. “You’re so smart,” followed by a kiss on his nose. “You’re my everything,” he says, but the real message he communicates with his actions. A kiss which says I’ll be yours forever.
