considering Ed's uhhh very distinct taste in aesthetics, these could be a lot worse. they look relatively comfortable and don't seem like they'd be difficult to move around in. they are platforms though, which I imagine makes things more difficult. I'll be generous and give these a 7/10

Most of the Amestrian military

pretty much everyone in uniform wears the same shoes, so I'm lumping them all together. these are Roy's, if that matters. they look fine. I imagine that because it is part of a military uniform, it's designed to be moved around in and worn for hours on end, so ideally they're relatively comfortable. it doesn't look like there's much traction, but they're usually fighting on flat surfaces so whatever. 8/10

Fu and Lan Fan

these shoes fucking rule. the picture I've included is Lan Fan's, but they wear p much the same shoes. I fucking love these things. they have spikes. Edward Elric fucking wishes. considering this seems to be part of the bodyguard uniform, I'd imagine they're as easy to run around in as the military shoes, if not better since they're expected to be doing martial arts in them. but most importantly, they have spikes. 10/10, no notes.

Ling and Mei

on the topic of doing martial arts, both Ling and Mei wear these.... I'm not sure what they are. flats? slippers? it's unclear. (EDIT: they are apparently Kung Fu shoes!) they seem relatively easy to move around in I guess since they're not very cumbersome and both Ling and Mei rely on being very nimble. they look like they have absolutely no support in the soles though, which is gonna get painful after a certain point. also depending on what fabric they're made of, they could definitely start chafing. I've worn flats. I know that hell. 7/10 for the potential blisters, but at least they're designed specifically for martial arts

Greedling and Bradley

it's hard to get a good shot in this scene because neither of them stop moving, but I swear to god, they're fighting in dress shoes. I cannot stand them. this CANNOT be comfortable. I know Greed prioritizes aesthetics over function so this was probably a compromise between his and Ling's tastes but ohhh my god. he was probably wasting so much of the philosopher's stone just passively healing the million blisters on his feet from running around in these things. there's a chance Bradley is wearing the military uniform shoes but I think he was in more formal dress when he got blown the fuck up, so I don't think so. no wonder he complains about being sore, quit running around in dress shoes you fucking moron. 4/10.

Greed

okay. the heels make sense considering her whole vibe. however. these are part of her fucking BODY. when she gets incinerated, they grow back. can she even take them off???? I'm scared to ask. I didn't bring Channie so he can stay with us, you don't have to worry about that.” You explain, but that doesn't seem to make them feel more at ease. “Then what is he doing here?” Jisung asks. “Well, my friend had to leave her apartment for the night and I offered our spare room.” They don't seem too happy about it but they don't say anything else either. “I'm sorry.” You apologize, petting their heads. “I haven't tell her about us either yet so we should probably...” You start saying and they both whine, pouting. “But you've been away for so long!” Jisung complains. “Ah, I'm sorry. I know...” You pout too before kissing them, and Jisung grasps on your hips as he deepens the kiss. Hyunjin on your back side kissing your neck.

Sweetely ruffling her hybrid's hair. “Do you mind if I leave to take a quick shower then? It was a long day.” She asks and you nod and show her the way to the bathroom followed by Chan. You can hear Jisung's growls from there, so you take a look at him and Jinnie from the top of the stairs as soon as your friend is settled in. Their eyes are on you, but also on the wolf behind you. You hadn't seen Jisung this annoyed since Hyunjin appeared on your doorstep for the first time. The fox seems more relaxed, but you know that's just a façade. He's good at keeping appearances, but he's almost as possessive as the wolf.

You feel Channie's fluffy coat against your waist as he lovingly nudges your side while he walks by you in his wolf form on his way downstairs. And your heart skips a beat seeing how fast your hybrids have changed into their animal form too to jump in front of him. “Noooo. Omg.” You dramatically say. Rushing downstairs too. They growl at eachother for a bit as you panic on the side, but then Chan just stops and goes back to his hybrid form then sighs. “Sorry.” He apologizes, raising his hand. “I was just thankful to her for taking care of my master and me. I wasn't trying to scent her or anything.” He explains, and Jisung and Hyunjin go back to their hybrid form too. “I don't care. Don't touch her again.” Jisung says, speaking for both of them. Your hands trembling as you approach him. “O-Okay, he understands.” You tell him, resting your hand on his shoulder. “Let's sit down for a bit and watch some tv or something.” You suggest, and Jisung finally looks at you, seeing the concern in your eyes. His expression changes as he realizes how you're feeling, and he holds your hand to kiss it. “I'm sorry.” He apologizes, and you really feel like crying. It's not his fault. It's you who brought another wolf to your home.

Jisung sits by your side and Hyunjin on the floor between your legs so you can play with his hair. “Can I hug you?” Jisung asks, and your heart hurts knowing it's your fault too that he can't simply do it and freely be himself around you tonight. “Of course you can.” You tell him, and he snuggles into you, breathing you in as he buries his head on your tummy.

Can't really domesticate a wolf, can we?” You ask, but he simply smirks to himself as he finishes bringing all the dirty dishes to the counter.

“Sooo... You're fucking your hybrids, huh?” Chan whispers at you as he walks behind you to stand by your side, making your heart stop for a long second. You stare at him trying to figure out which one of the stuff you or they did in front of him gave it away, but he just smiles, leaning on the kitchen counter. “Don't worry, it's nothing they said or did specifically. We hybrids tend to be very zealous of our masters. It's not weird to be cautious of other hybrids.” He explains, but that only makes you more confused. “You're ovulating. I can smell it. Don't feel like being dragged by my neck tonight.” He says, pointing outside with his head. “W-Wait...” You call him, and he looks at you for a second before he speaks again. “Ah... Don't worry. I won't tell her. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun for someone else.” He says, soothing you a little, but you can only blush as he walks away.

What did he mean with ruining someone else's fun? Does that mean that you friend would be indeed against it? She seems to care about Channie so much though. She's always telling you about him at work too. How could someone who cares so deeply for her hybrid be one of those people who hurt them too?

Is it going to be hurtful or is she going to tell you something completely wholesome? “Yes?” You say, trying to keep her going. “I...” “Hey, I'm back.” Hyunjin interrumps opening the door, startling you both. “Noooo!” You dramatically say, startling him in return. He seems so confused. “Ah, excuse us a minute.” You say, taking Hyunjin out with you to a place your friend can't see from inside.

“Did I do somehing wrong?” He asks, pouting, and your heart hurts. “No, of course not, baby.” You soothe him. “We were just talking about something and she doesn't want anyone to hear.” You explain. “I'm sorry baby, can you stay away for a bit longer?” You ask stroking his hair, and he sighs but nods. “Thank you, it won't be long, I promise.” You say, tiptoeing a bit to peck his lips. “Are they around?” You ask and he shakes his head. “I can smell them, but they're far away.” He says, and you smile and pet him again. “Okay baby, then I'll text you in a bit so you can come back, yeah?” You say, checking that the phone hanging from his neck has still battery left, and he nods. “Is it really okay?” You insist and he chuckles before leaning over you. “Yes~ cause master will compensate me later, right?” He asks. You stare at him for a moment trying to figure out if he's being sweet or just naughty, but he doesn't look like he's teasing. “Sure.” You say, making him happily smile before he meets your lips.

“Where's Hyunjinnie? He is reaaally handsome by the way. I didn't say it before but I'm too drunk now.” Your friend babbles as soon as you're back, making you laugh. “Yes, he is.” You chuckle. “And he went to see if he could find Jisungie and Chan.” You lie, and she gasp. “No, they can't be back just yet.” She says, and you take a look to her cup. “Did you drink all of that while I was away?” You ask, and she nods. “I needed it.” She says, making you chuckle again. “Okay, girl. Can you tell me what's going on?” You ask, taking the chance to make yourself another drink and she sighs and just let it out. “I'm in love with Channie.” She says, and your eyes shift to her immediately. Your hands frozen, still holding onto the bottle.

“You are?” You simply ask in a serious tone, and she nods. “You think I'm weird?” She asks. “No, of course not. A lot of people date hybrids.” You say, as you finally pour the drink on your cup. “And actually... I'm dating mine too.” You admit and she gasps. “Which one?” She asks, making you blush. “Ah.... Both of them..?” You say, and she gasps even more dramatically, making you laugh. “I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier.” You apologize. “You know another bunch of people are still afraid of magic creatures. Even if they've been around since forever.” You say and she frantically nods as tears form in her eyes.

Ah she's cute. No wonder Channie fell for her too.

“Yes, I know.” She pouts. “I'm so happy I got to tell you. I was so afraid of saying it outloud cause I don't want anyone to hurt Channie. I'm always keeping my distances with him as much as I can because I'm so scared.” She says, hugging you. Maybe that's why Chan thought telling his master would be a bad thing.

You chuckle just relieved that you have someone to relate to. “Mhm~ Me too.” You agree. “Don't tell Channie or your babies though, I think I'll just talk to him when we're back home.” She says. “Of course.” You say, and she pouts again. “Do you think he'll feel weird about it?” She asks, and you can't help but laughing as Chan's words come back to your mind. “No, love. I think he'll be very happy.”

I should probably take a shower too.” He says. “Yeah?” You ask, cupping his face on your hands before making him lean over to kiss him. “Y/n...” He says, pointing at your friend with his eyes. “It's okay, she's really drunk.” You chuckle. “Also, I told her.” You whisper at him and he lets out a relieved sigh. “Thank goodness.” He says, picking you up to kiss you again. “Let's go wash up then.” He says, and you smile softly. “Shouldn't we wait for Jisung first?” You ask and he rolls his eyes. “What if...” He pecks your lips. “We shower now.” Another peck. “Then I fuck you real good.” He says, making your heart skip a beat before he meets your lips again. “And so we'll have to shower again~. I don't mind sharing you then.” He finishes, making you giggle. “That's your plan?” You ask, and he smiles. “That's my perfect plan, yeah.” He says, pecking your cheek. “Wow, seamless.” You chuckle. “Would you help me out getting her to bed first, though?” You ask, pointing at your sleepy friend, and he smiles softly. “Sure.”

You hear some howls as Hyunjin helps you place your friend in bed. “Channie...” She calls in her sleep, making you chuckle, and you look up to meet Jinnies eyes, but he's looking to where the howling came from. His ears twitching. “Jinnie... You think they're okay?” You ask him, but he's still focused on listening to them right now. “I think that was Jisung...” You tell him, pulling from his shirt and he finally responds. “Mhm.” He says, avoiding your eyes as he distractedly takes your friend's phone from her hands to put it on the nightstand.

You don't know what's going on with those howls, but you sure hope Jisung is okay. Jinnie would tell you though if that wasn't the case, so he must be worried about something else. You can't help but worrying about Jisung anyway.

“Are you okay?” You ask Jinnie, cupping his face on your hands, and he nods before you peck his lips. You know he won't tell you what's going on with him if he doesn't want to when he's like this, so you just let it slide for now. “Let's wash up then, yeah?”

A chill runs down your spine as your heart stops. Then you break into a cold sweat seeing Jisung changing to his wolf form.

His ears pointing forward and his tail up in a threatening stand. Hyunjin's tails and ears down in a scared-defensive one, but the growls keep coming from both parts. Jisung snarls at him, and the fox whimpers, taking some steps back. “Jisung!” You call him, scared for the fate of the fox, and he takes a side glance at you for a second before huffing and going back to his hybrid form.

Hyunjin stands normally again, but he doesn't change to his hybrid form. He looks at you and Jisung, then huffes and walks away to disappear into the woods. ➽───────────────❥

Let's go lowest to highest in ranking like I usually do and start with Childe who, imo, would accept on the grounds that it is power and he will take anything to become more powerful even at a detriment to his health and physical condition. Though there is a price, he has accepted prices before and assuming that the pay off is good enough the use of a vision or delusion would be obsolete anyway. That, coupled with his love for you as his motivation is more than enough to sway him in your favour as he can see more to gain than lose from spending eternity by your side.

Arlecchino is a tough one because I can totally see it and it's really hot but Idk if she would. I wanna say yes, but I can also see reasons for no. The Vampire Arlecchino energy wins though because tbh I can see her being willing to make that sacrifice for her lover. I don't see her as fully whipped per se but like she's definitely loyal yk, probably pick you over the Tsaritsa and would want to spend an eternity with you at your behest.

Next is Pantalone. Cool vampire vibes. Someone gave me this wonderful headcanon that he is obsessed with his delusion, and I now love it to death so much that I based a character on it. So tbh yeah, there's benefits in this for him. He gets to be with you and have a little more power at a far lesser detriment. Plus like, you can't convince me this man wouldn't be lowkey into it.

Signora, I'm not sure. She has already lived a long time, and she has a lot of natural power already. Her delusion is what balances her, so I honestly think I'd have to say no. I WANNA SAY YES REALLY BAD BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THERE'S OPPORTUNITY THERE, but I also just don't think so, but like she'll still be with you for a long time.

Sandrone, I honestly don't know either, because I don't know much from the two words she's spoken. If I remember, she doesn't care for other people, though, so she's likely very in love with anyone who managed to break through that and may be willing to make sacrifices for you.

For Scaramouche- well, bro is an artificial human, so tbh, I don't even think he would be affected by that. I'll skip him too.

Next would be Pulcinella, but I was told no Pulcinella, so Capitano (I almost forgot him send help). I like the abyssal creature Capitano headcanon, but even if he was just, a guy. I think the answer is no. HE'S WHIPPED AND WOULD DO ANYTHING BUT NOT THIS 😭 at least not at first, but give it a while and I can see it. It'll take time, though.

Columbina is also tricky because she has such entity vibes, but like also, seraph/vampire pairing would be so hot I can't even deny that. I should write that. Anyway, I feel like she's already immortal, so that doesn't matter, and she is indifferent to the power you offer. It's a matter of it not holding value. She has everything she could get out of it already.

Finally, we come to Dottore. Dottore is into it, don't lie, you know he is; this man is freaky. He'd enjoy the prospect of being a Vampire more than the perks of it, and that's enough to convince him. Besides it's 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓼𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 so he gets to excuse it. He couldn't turn it down even if it was just one of his segments because he's got to know what it's like and all the differences. He collects knowledge.

This was way more chaotic than usual 💀 Idk if I will write more like this but I did enjoy it so maybe, depends if y'all like this or my other styles more. I just like the chilled out casual chaos sometimes so lmk

okay, but like.

i have not been able to stop thinking about how being trans works as a gerudo. bc i hate myself apparently.

like i don't think they count trans masc people as the "once in a thousand years" thing, bc it isn't mentioned. so i think being born "male" is a biological sex assigned at birth thing. but if the amab person transitions, then i think they just act like it never happened (yes this justifies a headcanon of mine, what of it).

so maybe they just have to leave town when they come out. which is tragic in its own way, and would be an interesting conflict to explore. like they'd never see their family again unless they leave town to visit. or they'd have to dress up in drag, or not be out to most of town except for a select few (obviously the voe clothing store is a safe space, and its how she makes money making them despite being in a heavily guarded city).

then the dreaded question arises: why don't we see any non femme presenting gerudo anywhere, in or out of town?

it could be that the game just isn't showing us them, sorta like the completely new characters (pelican man, sidon's fiance, josha, etc.) weren't anywhere to be found in botw.

also honestly nintendo are just cowards when in comes to representing minority groups with tact, especially in zelda and especially the gerudo.

so though it isn't explicitly anywhere in the game, i believe trans people are in it, until (but tbh even after bc aforementioned cowardice) they flat out say otherwise.

will probably try and script more coherent thoughts on ofmd s2 tomorrow and my opinion is overall very positive but i really don't like the way they're handling jim/archie and olu/zheng. to clarify i would be 100% okay with a more open/poly version of jim/olu, esp since vico ortiz is poly irl, but this just feels underbaked.

1) jim and archie only interact a few times in the first episode before one of their first scenes in the second episode is their kiss. i think archie will be a fun character and her banter with jim was decent but to me there really wasn't enough build-up to pay off a kiss, esp after jim/olu was a well-done plot line last season that was built up by a series of good, genuine moments across all ten episodes. i don't think a slow-burn is always a definite requirement for a good romance but more than like three scenes of build-up is.

2) olu fully admits in ep 3 he had no idea that zheng was flirting with him. full honesty i was expecting zheng to be a lesbian (idk why just vibes) but really? she apparently grows a crush on olu through all his visits to her soup stand, of which we see one where they have a normal, polite conversation. then they join up with the revenge, jim and olu reunite and five minutes later olu is making out with her in her office? i'm aware olu was probably still surprised by the jim and archie situation but it genuinely felt so out of nowhere to me. tbh her random crush on olu was the only thing abt zheng i disliked, other than that she was fantastic and i'm very excited to see more of her. her feelings read like an unrequited crush to me.

3) jim and olu were a fantastic couple in s1, i was and still am obsessed. again, poly/open relationship is fine if done right, but this just reads like they forced relationship drama. we are only three eps in and maybe they aren't even going the poly route but in that case why make this a thing in the first place? why have jim and olu make out with other people when ed and stede are clearly giving us all the relationship drama? yeah, they thought the other person was dead/didn't know if they'd see them again but surely they'd be holding out hope or still grieving after what's been a year at most.

anyways, like i said, overall a good start but this plot point is rlly dragging down the early eps for me. hopefully it resolves quickly.

This is one of those ships that I think I'm more...particular about than some other fans of it. Or maybe my preferences aren't as in line with the broader headcanons, idk. I guess we'll find out in this ask game

What makes me happy about them:

They fall into that beautiful category of 'rivals who are forced to occasionally rely on each other' and I EAT THAT SHIT UP. But on a more sincere note - even if they'd struggle at first to connect, I like to think that they're willing to hold each other accountable to their flaws. They have no hang-ups about calling it out when one of them fucks up, but they both (Vlad especially) could benefit from some vulnerability and honesty like that.

Ok this is where I might be getting into some unpopular opinions but I'm really not a fan of the over-exaggeration of some of Vlad's characteristics, like making him extra flamboyant or shallow or leaning SUPER hard into tropey-single-bachelor things (typically for the sake of humor). I get he's literally a cartoon villain, so feeding into his tropes is kind of expected, but as someone who came to like Vlad because he's actually got some genuine emotions under his flawless suit and ponytail, I really don't vibe with those more 2-dimensional interpretations of him. I enjoy him for his pathetic side as much as anyone else, but there's a limit to everything for me. Also any fic where Danny grows up and gets super tall or beefy is...not for me. That boy is a beanpole and he always will be.

things I look for in fanfic:

If it's written by @9haharharley1 (kidding but totally not kidding). I tend to gravitate either to the ones where they're established and toe the line between sincerity and 'we were rivals once so the mockery can never die,' OR ones where they're still rivals and Vlad manages to catch Danny off guard and has some fun. Also, topVlad/bottomDanny exclusively.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

Outside the realm of pompep, I think Vlad just needs to remain single and remember how to have friends. Maybe him and Skulker can elevate their business partnership to something more. Danny...needs to go to college and learn some things about himself imo. Him and Sam really don't feel like they'll last, but maybe if he did some exploring in college he'd find someone to be with.

My happily ever after for them:

I'm not sure I can fully imagine one for them? Not in the sense that it couldn't happen, but I just really like living in the part of their relationship where they're still imperfect and growing together and figuring out how to fit their lives together. Looking beyond that is...not as interesting to me, I guess.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

I could see it either way, tbh. Danny sliding over to be a big spoon to steal Vlad's warmth, or curling up as the little spoon when he's needing to feel safe/protected.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity:

Sparring - they know the other can take it if they get serious, so it's a good mutual challenge and way to let off steam. Maybe stargazing if they're feeling extra peaceful that night.

so it's all "What did he do?" and "Do you understand why this was wrong to do?" and eventually "Apologize to the demon boy, Kokichi"

kid AUs aren't really my vibe so idk how it works out, but with this set up they definitely start out as enemies tbh with the whole sharing a body and being raised together it'd be weird to go for romantic ending so I'm completely out of my element, seems like it could build more of a sibling energy

it could be plausible, with the enemies element only getting escalated for years and the caretaker's favoritism creating a big divide in how they perceive their roles in the family, until eventually something shifts

probably they finally find a way to separate without the caretaker preventing that from happening and then that's different, that can end in ship getting together, probably after telling that shitty parent to fuck off from both of them because what the hell

Dra: It doesn't have to end up romantic! Or we can just change the prompt a bit and make them older than small kids + adjust the parent as Kokichi's friends since he's an orphan djfjdj

And the student they bring back is Shuichi because he died instead of Rantaro

Reasons for picking Kokichi: nobody care him

They're just like. If it goes wrong then it's just Kokichi shrugs

And I think Kiyo should be at least a little interested in how it plays out and wait with his plan, or not have it at all

It'd be a funny AU, imagine all of them having to spend time with Kokichi whenever they want to talk to Shuichi.

THEM AND THEIR hypothetical POKEMON TEAM (i would like to hear other people's thoughts because i am unsure and i plan to post this on the subreddit eventually)

explanations under the cut (its gonna be extensive so be prepared) (this has been rotting in my brain for a while)

KYBORG

he has a secret soft spot for his pokemon, if they faint or get injured he worries really badly

he likes to bond with them during training :D he pesters the others for pokemon battles

umbreon, poochyena - i feel like they kinda just have the same 'mysterious, dark' vibes that kyborg wants to have has!! but funnily enough, they're not as scary as they seem. very affectionate!! like dogs!! kyborg loves them

riolu - okay so think with me here.. riolu/lucario can read auras and emotions and so they know that kyborg isnt a bad person and they know when he's trying to mask his emotions ??!!???? so riolu would be understanding of him n they'd be pretty close

also i'd just like to think riolu (and the rest of his pokemon) enjoy battling alongside kyborg

scorbunny/froakie - when i see these pokemon i think of athleticism and/or dexterity and i couldn't decide between the two :'3

scorbunny/froakie would go on runs / exercise with kyborg, they have a similar personality type where they're both brash, energetic, enthusiastic and they click easily like that!!

though i imagine froakie is more calculated in battles compared to scorbunny whos more impulsive

alolan vulpix - SPOILERS FOR EP 33 (?)

this vulpix, alongside hannibal (perhaps a dragonair) and gumbo (the linoone), was fighting against .. lets say abomasnow?

and during that fight lets say gum gum and kyborg interfered by sending out their pokemon and assisting in the battle n kyborg became really fond of the vulpix and decided to keep him as a per

WHY alolan vulpix? idk i think it'd be fitting since kyborg has some ties to snow and ice and also because i believe the region they were in during that arc was snowy !!1

BART

he performs little shows with his lute and his pokemon!! and he also occasionally has pokemon battles

he loves his pokemon dearly tbh and i feel like all of them appreciate music in some way :3!!

pikachu - one of the pokemon he's owned for a long time! his pikachu particularly is quite fond of his trainer and his quirks n music, it helped the crew during the time bart was on the jebediah!!

i have no explanation for this one actually but a fun thought is that pikachu would evolve into an alolan raichu (look at the little guy surf!!) and this would mean that bart would live in the alolan region so who knows honestly... LISTEN HE JUST HAS A PIKACHU

chatot - a gift from marrrge to bart, passed down because the two started to bond while on the ship. they sang together n marrrge could tell they really had potential so boom kapow wachow

ALSO ABOUT THE MIMICKI NG THING chatot can mimic voices (from what i remember) and i think it'd be funny if it mimicked kyborg like the kenkus from that one library and it annoys kyborg to no bounds

mantine - caught during his time on the ship! mantine sometimes swim near ships in little packs and i suppose this one took a liking to bart, and bart was pretty fond of it as well :D not much to say here except for the fact its a silly little water guy

tauros - bart got like.. a baby auroch or something right?? idk i forgot but either way he is (weirdly) fond of beastly bulls and i suppose a tauros is a good substitute

i also like to imagine bart likes mounting (strange wording) his pokemon since it just means he doesn't have to walk much and he likes being a bit higher up than he usually is n tauros (and maybe mantine) are good for that

would he own the notorious pokemon? that is but a thought left for the audience.

GUM GUM

he's weirdly lucky, seems to have a good chance at finding shiny pokemon and other rare things

wonder why

anyways, his pokemon r kinda just companions that he likes to hug and hang out with :) occasionally he does battle with them

floette - flower buddy!!! i'd like to think that gum gum likes to spend time in flower fields when he has the chance and the one thing he's honestly pretty knowledgeable in is flowers

so he might've met a flabebe or a floette and they became buddies! he had no idea it was a shiny until maybe one of the party members mentioned it

bulbasaur - okay so i struggled on this decision but then it came to me that bulbasaur is PERFECT idk they have the same vibes and it eventually starts growing a little flower when it evolves

i can't explain this one they just have the same vibes and energy. i think they'd go well together

tyrunt - so let's imagine that for some reason there were some fossil pokemon that kinda just escaped and that's how we explain the dinosaur encounters from rhe campaign

anyways he befriends the tyrunt in typical gum gum fashion (kyborg is SHOCKED because out of all the pokemon this one was a shiny) and they become friends! it loves hugs but it often initiated them running full speed and knocking over the victim (which is fine for gum gum, not fun for anyone else though)

yamper - SPOILERS FOR GUM GUM'S ARC

despite gum gum's bad experiences with rum rum (WHICH BY THE WAY rum rum perhaps was a rockruff that evolved into midnight lycanroc or a houndour/houndoom and that bite wouldve HURT) he's still fond of puppies n yamper helped with this slight uneasiness he's felt

idk i think gum gum deserves a silly little puppy

all his pokemon r very cuddly :)

MUDD

prefers mellow, calm pokemon since he finds it a bit tiring to keep up with high energy pokemon (unlike the other three)

his pokemon are quite well trained!! he's caught a lot of them and they're all very well taken care of

despite his pokemon being pretty strong, he doesn't find much use in pokemon battles

snivy - got the snivy during his time with his family! royal background buddies!!! snivy is a very calm pokemon (but it shares the same sass that mudd has), they're pretty close :D

linoone - GUMBO!!!!! at first, linoone wasn't too big of a fan of mudd but they gradually becamw closer! they do everything together, if you look at mudd linoone would always be on his shoulders or being carried

lycanroc - its the vibes honestly..

midday lycanroc is calm and loyal, and maybe mudd has raised it since it was a rockruff so they're also pretty well bonded!

idk i think they'd get along well

lapras, gogoat - both pokemon that remind me of mudd's personality

i cant explain this except for the fact that theyre correlated to some of the pokemon he's wild shaped into so ....

So for Bolin, I don't have many ships I like for him other than weilin? I think a lot of his canon ships share the theme of either enabling his infantilisation or patronising him. Bolin needs a partner that would support amd challenege him into maturing, but the writers won't give that to us because writing character development is hard.

At least with weilin I can work with my own ideas?

Mind you it's not that I can't get behind other ships, in the right setting,I'm just very picky about how Bo is characterised.

As for Wei, he doesn't have a lot of interactions with any characters outside of Bolin, so I really don't have a lot of ships with him.

One thing I'm sick of seeing is Beifong family incest? If my daily scouring of the web for weilin crumbs is interrupted by a threesome between Wei, Wing and THEIR FATHER, I will blow this solar system into smithereens.

I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to Suyin ships. I adore Sutar they're adorable and I wish we could've seen them when they were younger. I adore the idea of Suyin finding someone to build a life with, I adore the theme of carving out and building a place to call home together, I adore how they're the poster children for malewife/girlboss.

Though one of my crackships is Suyin x any member of the Red Lotus. This would probably place itself somewhere in my Red Lotus! Beifongs AU.

I'm not too fond of Suvira? Like I absolutely get the appeal, in theory. And while Kuvira doesn't consider the Beifongs family, she has been under Suyin's care since she was 8. Most mentor/protégé ships aren't my cup of tea. There are very specific exceptions, but as a rule of thumb, I shy away from this theme.

For Lin, I'm very partial to Linzolt, thanks to my wife. Very interesting dynamic. I also like shipping Lin with women of course; Kyalin, Linsuko, Lin x Buttercup Raiko - all bangers. I like Linzin for what it could've been. I also think Lin x Pema is a fun crackship. Maybe they saw Korrasami and were like: 'hey why not?'. I do however like Lin with Tenzin and Pema together? They'd be a cute throuple. I have a tendency to enjoy shipping Lin with married couples because I tend to ship Lin with San and Naoki as well (Mako and Bolin's parents)

Asami. Like most of the fandom, I adore korrasami. Though I'll be honest when I say... masami was kinda cute? Honestly, any ship where Asami is happy gets a thumbs up from me.

That being said I'm always in the market for some toxic yuri, so Asami x Kuvira or Asami x Jargala are both very intriguing to me.

Another one of my favourite guilty pleasure ships I'm much too invested in is Opal x Asami.

Think about it. They're both rich girls who were isolated from the world. Imagine them sharing stories of the wide world. Imagine Asami upgrading Opal's wingsuit and Opal bringing Asami trinkets from all the places her Air Nomad journeys take her. Imagine Asami getting a real family as the Beifongs adopt her. Her getting a father that would never betray her in Baatar Sr.

Idk I think they'd be good for each other. I think I need to make a longer post on Asami x Opal.

Opal is my favourite female tlok character (Bolin being my fave male character) and tbh I hate her being demoted to a love interest.

That doesn't mean I don't ship her with anyone.

Sapphic Opal has my heart and soul. I ship her with most female characters of the show. Korpal? Exquisite, did you see the synchronised airbending scene? Opalvira? Love their divorced vibe in rote! Opal x Asami? Unsung favourite! Opal x Eska? Opal x Ginger? Yesyesyes!

My one straight ship for Opal is Mako x Opal because I think they'd be good for one another.

I don't have any particular ships for Huan. I'm quite open to most ships with him, since in my personal opinion he's the most romantic of the Beifong siblings. I can see him with Desna or Eska, Tahno or Ryu the airbender. Mako x Huan is also sweet when you think of it. I think if them both as such big brothers.

I'm not very into Huan x Ikki. Like, I do get why people like it. And I'm not that against age gap relationships. One of the healthiest relationships i know irl has a huge age gap. I just see Ikki and Huan as having such a big brother/little sister relationship it's very hard for me to swap to seeing them as anything romantic. Perhaps as a onesided puppy crush on Ikki's side but anything more is a big big no no
