one thing I keep harping on is a farming sim that starts in winter instead of spring. you can't plant crops so you have little else to do but get to know the towns people really well. there's always a feeling in farming games that there's almost too much to do, not enough time or stamina to get to everything you want to. you still dont have much to start, but by the end of the season you've been running errands and chatting with everyone in town, offering what you could through the cold days, and maybe all their kindness to you started as pity- who commits to farm life as soon as winter starts- but they've seen you stick it out all season, make good on promises, pay back what you can in friendship
