ok so maybe you're gonna get tired of the whole bodyparts academy au BUT I've been brainrotting so hard my brain is like melting out of my ears dawg... i gotta get this out of my system or it WILL consume me... you know aethers like outfit?? his abdomen area(? idk waht its called english hard lol) hasnt left my mind its just/?!?!?!?! THE WAIST????? (men and their slutty waists smh) it just looks sooo good I want to bite and like put my hands on him and just manhandle him grraravdjñ, SO LIKE just imagine academy au mc jus kind of like obsessed with his abdomen area (again sorry dont know what its called 😭) who just coincidentally has their hands on his waist like ALL the time, and im just so curious abt how aether would react, would he show off?? would he be shy??? would he be running laps and screaming??? oh, please. aether knows he's pretty. he is lumine's twin brother, after all! even before coming to this school he's turned heads left and right, so surely he could use his good looks to seduce the person of his dreams, right?

wrong.

whenever you snatch him by the waist, it’s protectiveness and not the perverted fondling he’d rather you’d do to him. aether is, after all, cute and petite. he looks like he can be easily overpowered by any of the students here and you just have that natural urge to protect him! you don’t know that aether can easily oneshot most of your harem members, but even if you did, what exactly would change?

when aether skips over to your side, you smile fondly at him and hug him by the waist to your side. it gets his heart pumping whenever you do that, hiding his flushed face behind his textbooks so you won’t suspect a thing. disappointment always floods his insides when you look at him like a brother and not a potential love interest. your waist is so small! you say like a naggy mother. you have to eat more!

it’s frustrating! lumine has to watch his brother scream into his pillow every night from her side of the room. she rolls over and tries to drown out his screams with a pillow.

“aether!” you one day call out to him. your bright smile once again beckons him to your side. he yelps when you slide a firm hand around his waist and pull him to your lap. his cheeks flush when hug him closer to your chest, and it takes everything out of him not to squirm. “i’ve got something to show you!” your breath tickles his ear and sends tingles down his spine. 

shuddering out a sigh, he forces a shaky grin as he tries his best to look enthusiastic. “is this about the anime you sent me last week?” you brighten up at his remembrance and chatter on and on to him. he makes his remarks too, fueling the conversation, and as it goes on your hands continue to rover about his abdomen. you’re such a mean senior, not even noticing the bright red blush on his face! was this on purpose? it has to be!

a single feather-like stroke of his abdomen sends him shuddering and keeling over. he gasps into your collarbone, hiding his blush and heart-eyed expression. “you’re so mean, senpai,” he whimpers into your skin. “teasing me like this...”

“i-i’m sorry...” the tension of the situation has now finally dawned on you, and you blush when you feel aether’s lips quivering on your skin. “i didn’t realize that...”

your words trail off as temptation seizes your hand to feel up his abdomen once more. toned as they were, the curves seemed so tiny and fragile as they fit into your hands. a lean and slender body, yet supple enough to serve as canvas for your marks...

ah, no! what kind of senior are you, teaching such lecherous thoughts of your junior! and yet... and yet...! your eyes dart to the corner, where the blonde student is currently shaking in your grasp. the cute and helpful transfer student who you viewed as a brother now looked more and more like prey in your hands. you gulp.

MEHHHH. I have three things to complain about and they all boil down to styling!!

1. Let’s start of with GC bc it’s his day. Why why why do they insist on this juvenile styling? The white sailor outfit is the worst imo. At least the other white cropped jacket with black trim/fringe and the black version had some type of form even though they still aren’t my favorites. The navy sailor outfit is eh. And the white one underneath (?) is just looking like a frumpy costume from someone’s talent show idk that feels mean and I’m sorry but just, ugh.

I told you before that I realized GC photographs well and can look very model-like in shoots so I had high hopes for his looks today… down the drain that went!

2. Ok so I agree that CNU looks better in these last two events but also—is it just the same white shirt and tie for these two events? Is WM low on funds? Why couldn’t he just wear perhaps that blue shirt from one of the fairly recent vlives?? And ffs, did anyone else see the brown beige khaki suit jacket?? I’m sorry if he owns that (bc sometimes I feel like he does wear baggy things), but ugh. That jacket is just plain ill-fitting on him. Like a suit jacket an old dad wears to some function. I know his build is looking better recently based on other photos/events but that jacket he wore on top of the shirt and tie just makes me so mad—it’s not doing him any favor. Wear it on a non-event CNU!! Someone get him/WM a tailor please!!

3. And I wasn’t going to bring this up but I’m on a roll with their outfits/styling. Tbh I wasn’t a fan of the latest flower fest photos with sandeul bc the florals/greenery look fake af and the whole thing is just too soft/cheesy for my taste and I was thinking, it’s fine it’s just not to my taste but maybe others like it and it’s not the most terrible thing I’ve seen recently done to these three. But now it’s like, they’ve just botched the visual direction for all three and it looks like this more “youthful” direction for all three has been in the works for a while since sandeuls was likely pre-filmed/pre-shot many months ago before he went on duty.

So WM. Wtf. I get that bc of everything that has happened internally and with the world, maybe b1a4 is low on funds and WM doesn’t have the finances either to devote a lot of it to their first group that’s had stuff happen, but this is just so sad to see at the end of the day!! Meanwhile jy mc from the same night is looking well… good for him, looks like he made the right move for his career but now I’m just even more sad for the others! Who do we email is right Britt!! :/

UGH ok so let’s vent together lol 😂 😂

1. Completely agree, the white and black cropped jacket sets were perfectly fine on their own-- the sailor (and honestly, I find the navy school boy fit just as bad as the sailor outfit personally lol) were just so child like, and yeah ok he’s the youngest of the group but at what cost are they going to keep playing that up?? Give us back model Gongchan, for sure. Give me back this Gongchan. He is so so gorgeous, he literally benefits the most with simple, neutral clean fits. Or, if he’s going to go with more of a bold color, bright reds or blues. But keep the fit more sleek. I mean, if I were to say anything positive....? about the sailor boy look is that I do appreciate a good Gongchan leg moment, but trust me it was not worth it to see him dressed like that lmaoo 🥲

2. So when you are saying the beige jacket I’m assuming you are referring to this look and not this.  The former I also completely agree, it literally looked like the exact same tie/shirt/pants that he wore for the Tomato Festival concert lol, and also agree with that jacket thrown on top did absolutely nothing. The latter look though, I did like. Simple, clean, his hair was actually styled much better than we’ve been seeing it (as in-- actually OFF his forehead!!! yay!!!) so I’m not mad at that look, at least lol. 

3. Ok so here’s the thing: again, I do ultimately agree with what you’re saying. The flower setting does look pretty cheap, and I’m also not one to go for that whole youthful flower-boy vibe (especially when we are talking about men who are between 29-31 years old 😩) but one thing I will say, and granted this is my opinion lol, but I do think of the three, Sandeul does pull off the ‘youthful’ look the best. That’s not to say I prefer it at all-- it’s in fact a terrific day the few times we do see Sandeul styled more maturely, with his glorious eyebrows free from hiding underneath the fluffy boy hair. But unlike what we’ve been seeing recently with CNU (and even Gongchan), WM always styled Sandeul like a 12 year old lol. Like ok that’s a slight exaggeration but really not by much. 

I really don’t know what’s going on!!! It has been frustrating, especially since their stage outfits for Origine were so nice-- has it been the acquisition? And new people now being involved in their artistic direction? Are they really just trying to appeal that badly to a younger audience? Idk, but Jinyoung has been looking great, and honestly he’s been looking really good for a while lol (since he’s come back from his public service, honestly... 👀 which I even ranted about a few weeks ago ..whew)

4. multiple people threads

pretty fun, i've seen those! i think how they can work is the muns take turns replying to the thread in the same order every time minus plotted moments (at least on tumblr)?

there's big fun potential with said threads though, i could be down for something like that if some details are plotted (even if i would probably be slow as usual with them the fear of me slowing down multiple other muns tho oh n o) and whenever i see one in our general vicinity nowadays it's exciting!

20. violent threads

this is interesting! basically i'm a canon typical violence(tm) writer, trying to fit the mood of whatever moment/verse the thread is in! like my "angst has to be meaningful" philosophy ways, any violence would have serve some purpose, even if it's a little purpose, as long as it's not there just for the sake of it.

and now i just remembered how i made jude get shot and ambiguously die in my bad!end drabble DKJFLKJK he hates me just to show how dire things have gotten for him (i guess that means that verse is rated M now. it's a tad darker than x2... and that's ok because he's a badass in it).

speaking of that M rating! i can similarly see myself writing typical horror violence stuff for jude, because that could be fun not for him (e.g. tone/intensity levels similar to games like fatal frame, higurashi, the last of us) but i probably wouldn't get into the extreme details of said violent stuff unless it was super necessary or something. some stuff is better left to the imagination for sure.

in terms of violence during fight scenes, canon typical violence stuff is again my benchmark! i've done the my muse and your muse vs npc fight scenes which is fun, but i don't really have experience with the 1v1 my muse vs your muse in the parking lot type but i'd only feel inclined if the details were plotted beforehand (e.g. knowing the conclusion/set direction of the thread) and if the fight in said thread/scene held some narrative weight.

basically i'm way more interested in the emotional tone/importance of an action scene (plus the impact of it later) rather than just writing it to focus on the technical details of the fight of who would win etc. to me, the latter is just a vehicle to make the whole thing come togetherー it's important, but incomplete without the whole 'why' part. because then it'd feel a lot less like writing out a smash bros match rather than just playing it (i think that's my weirdest metaphor yet LMAOO) personal preference strikes again though!

25. your character ( the gushing commenceth / unhinged version )

i've somewhat(?) properly gushed about him here and related it to writing so if your name is Lin you're no stranger to me saying things about Jude UMM i'll just talk about his hair LMAOO

the beautiful and subtle asymmetry of his hair in x1 especially that slightly longer piece of hair off to the side of his head here. is it underrated or does everyone love that part, i have no idea sldjflsdkf but he really doesn't sport the super generic flat mc hair, it's just a little wavy/longer at the back! the non-wild/cute and round hair look suits his quieter personality here too T_T plus he's so cute bYE

his extremely amazing hair in x2. described aptly. this coupled with his new outfit = i now have an entirely different concept of "one year timeskip" i remember thinking at first "WAIT THAT'S HIM? NO WAY... idk... let me think about this..." but now he makes me faint so. who won here. it suits him bc he's even more mature, and his character design changed so much but in the best way i think. i'm so glad this version of him exists LMAOO good job x2 for all your faults and amazing moments

alrighty season 3 ep 2 thoughts. this post got ridiculously long so the rest is under a read more:

- literally i love every single time we see akito sleeping in this long and empty room. there’s something very encompassing about how empty it is + how the angle emphasizes it, especially when we can clearly see she’s sharing her bed 

- shigure and tohru’s moments alone are always soo so sweet. their relationship so far is very much one where there’s a lot of affection between them (which ofc makes one of their biggest scenes together during the final act feel especially hurtful even though it’s a side of shigure we’re well aware of by that point -- it’s just something that tohru up until that point hadn’t witnessed, much less been directly confronted with. but i’m getting ahead of myself lmfao moving on)

- actually related to the above love tohru asking “wouldn’t i just be interrogating him?” and “the things kureno told me make me feel like i’m looking into a deep, dark well” just ahh i do love this background progression of shigure and tohru’s relationship and how it reaches a head when they have their talk about kyo later. 

- this is perhaps unintentional but: having this shot of machi noticing yuki + clearly having some new feelings about him overlaid with/directly followed by momiji and tohru, where we still know momiji has an unrequited crush on her. yes it makes me laugh a little but it’s also fitting because at this moment in time yuki does not have a crush on machi in return + sees her only as a friend.

- it’s been mentioned but it bears repeating. why are they not progressing momiji’s height whatsoever lmaooo. funny because yuki and kyo have had gradual changes but they’re really just trying to make this growth spurt reveal super jarring huh. also holy shit he looks TINY next to haru in this shot. next

- the one kid in class asking hana to fuck the priyuki girls up but she’s like “actually i really don’t care” LMAO........ love her

- ugh i really love this moment with yuki.......... i think it’s been a while since we’ve seen the general student population (not just the prince yuki girls) still treat him in a revering way, now also in part because he’s the student council president but definitely still because of his reputation as the prince. this was something that was so deeply ostracizing to him early on in the series, and does still remind him of his loneliness -- but that loneliness isn’t crippling to him anymore, because now he does have friends who like him and who he can have fun with. 

i’m going to write a bigger post on this later probably because this is a really important progression point in how yuki understands himself to exist in his school’s ecosystem + how his self-esteem is still developing.

- additionally i just want to say that this scene isn’t yuki suddenly falling for machi, or really something to be read as mutually romantic between them -- machi i think absolutely has a crush on him at this point (because he is. the only person who is actually nice to her and considers her existence aside from kakeru but moving on) but yuki’s perception of her at this moment is heavily tied to how he thinks of himself as a friend + whether he’s a worthy enough person to befriend. the fact that machi shatters those doubts for him in such an overt way is important.

- anyways machi is rly cute here i loooove that she’s comfortable being more expressive around him even though it’s mostly out of embarrassment LMAO...... she’s learning how to display her feelings and trusts him with that..... cute.

- also of note yuki putting his hand on the top of her head which is like... he’s trying to convey that he feels they have (or are starting to have) a trusting friendship with each other but it’s like. a bit too much for machi to handle omfg. honestly this goes in hand with way back when ayame patted yuki’s head in praise which was clearly something yuki didn’t receive much of as a kid, and i’m assuming machi also rarely if ever received that same sort of praise. what i’m saying is they’re both trying lmaoo

- also as usual shimazaki’s deliveries are spot on yuki is soooo fucking cute in this scene. “what? seriously? they’re even worse than the ones i made” he’s so casual and funny with her it’s so good

- okay the timeskip to sunset makes me laugh it makes it seem like tohru and kyo have just been waiting in that room alone for hourssss

- ugh how sexy would it have been if the brief flashback to kureno + the music overlay had been cut out here. like tohru seeing the birds and then turning to ask kyo what he would think if someone’s curse had been broken would have gotten the message across just as well + i think would have been more emotionally impactful.

- tohru’s expression here though is so good just. ugh. will say this point in hers and kyo’s relationship is just so tasty because he really is her most trusted confidant but she’s also so aware of anything that could be construed as him rejecting her or pushing her away, which now that she’s getting especially wrapped up in the family’s secrets...... it’s a thin line she’s walking w wanting to protect him but not wanting to push him away bc he’s resigned to what will happen

- this visual is so weeeeeird aoghjksd the screen being framed by her bangs. what. why

- hmmmm in general idk if the flower scene hit very well. it felt kind of awkward? kyo and tohru both seemed really stiff which is weird because literally just a minute ago they were animated pretty well tbh

- this post is already so long and i only JUST started the akigure part of the ep....... i’m so sorry

- machi and kyo both handing off white flowers to yuki and tohru respectively and then we’re hit with shigure giving akito a red flower instead. obviously because akito is symbolized by red camellias + to refer back to her memory of shigure giving one to her, but also just basic color symbolism -- white being more indicative of purity and new beginnings, red being something both passionate, evocative, dangerous.

- oh we’re back to the kids. it is not in fact akigure time yet. 

- i loooove this tohru outfit so much she’s so cute in it. also ig it bears mentioning because i didn’t say anything about it last time, but the reboot hinting more directly to the audience that something bad happened to rin, rather than just her disappearing entirely, is def more overt than in the manga. that short scene of ren intercepting rin in the last ep was chronological yes, but in the manga we don’t see that happen until after we know that akito’s been keeping her in the cat’s room. so just by tohru mentioning that she hasn’t seen or heard from rin in a while, we’re clued in that something bad to her must have happened because of ren. which i don’t think is a bad decision honestly -- since ren is set up as the antagonist for this season, it might make viewers assume that ren did something bad to her, only for it to be revealed that it was akito and that akito is still becoming more and more unhinged. but that also ren is unhinged. disasters.

- “i’m sorry, i’m afraid i do have parents” this rly is just the mid-20s mood isn’t it

- mitsuru fucking hissing at shigure i cannot

- nakamura’s acting during this phone scene is so goooood oh my god. the LOATHING. honestly this alone just makes me crazy abt the insanity that is akito + kureno + shigure like jesus christ. 

- kureno’s pitiful little “nii-san” after shigure obliterates his entire life. there we go

- honestly it’s funny how shigure’s expression looks when akito yells at him for sleeping with ren because for a moment it looks like he has NO idea what she’s talking about but then. nope. he fucked her mom.

- do like the little detail of akito pointing as she tells shigure to get out, but when he leaves he just turns in the opposite direction. like truly he has never followed orders to the t once in his life.

- this shot of ren is so fucking absurd oh my god. pls get ur male gaze directing out of here.

- “i... thought you forgot” man the way this is delivered feels really striking. i think because akito is never caught off guard in a way that surprises her in such a quiet way, or in a way that leaves her plainly vulnerable. like her vitriol towards him has to do with the fact that she feels he’s abandoning the bond they used to have (and ofc they bond they have through the curse), and that memory of him does act as a linchpin. 

- it’s primo bitchy shigure hours. primo akito meltdown hours.

- this shot is soooo foreboding wow. straight up darkness. tho i kind of wish this shot was used instead for the “i want to crush her to a pulp” line, or at the very least that the shot for that line was just framed differently

- god they’re so fucking awful for each other. purely just a disaster duo. shigure taking control of the conversation + dismissing akito’s meltdown and emotional manipulation leaves akito feeling the only way she can have control over him is through seducing him since no other method works. the convo that has with her accusing him of sleeping with a lot of other women + her not knowing how to handle the fact that he slept with ren, and ofc the convo it has with her misogyny and how she views herself. they have this really vitriolic push and pull for control because akito doesn’t know what to do when she loses any control at all, and shigure’s grasping at what little control he can have considering how their power dynamics work with the bond -- walking away when she’s being manipulative, refusing to coddle her. like shigure’s wish for them to be on an equal playing field without the curse is a pipe dream because their relationship is just so, so damaged as is and is so heavily informed by what has already happened between them. takaya why did you have them end up together for realsies why did you--

- what is with the reboot team making akito break down the walls and doors all the time lmfao. bro the structural damage caused by this little 90lb disaster.

- i think i understand why they took it out (like maybe it would have been too overt with how they’ve set up the audience to expect something bad happened to rin after running into ren) but man they really just didn’t adapt one of the most haunting parts of the series huh. like this shot of rin being trapped inside the cat’s room right beside shigure thinking “i’ll be waiting for you” maaaan man!!

- okay addendum: apparently she is in the room. in hindsight i did notice this but it did not register as a person because i thought it was just a glare on the window 😭

//i have like a really really major hankering for a frozen AU like i talked with alois mun about it for a little bit but it’s been living rent free in my head for like... 2 weeks now lmao (esp with all those cool dresses ive been doodling, bc those all fit into that specific AU), but like if we threw out all the dumb shit that di/sney does with their characters and plots lol so no more trolls, no weird inconsistent betrayal plot point, etc, unless it’s like,, something you feel inspired by, then we can like talk about it?? bc i really like everything to do with this world, except the fact that it was written by disney who have no idea how to actually write women’s empowerment lmao anyways

//rene doesn’t hurt someone else, he ends up hurting himself with his own powers (thus creating his signature streaky hair, which are brighter silver in this AU instead of the more blended greys of his usual hair color). He also scars his hands, which is the main reason why he wears gloves (which i always seem to forget whenever i draw him in dresses, ugh).

//his storyline is also very much about freedom of expression, but taking on a more ‘identity’ route (i guess more like frozen 2). I also just... a lot of random fun headcanons about him

//he looks even more like a corpse than usual in this AU, bc he’s literally frozen, like the reason why he doesn’t feel coldness is bc his body is basically always at 0C or below. He can be warmed up by external sources, but he doesn’t provide his own heat (kinda like a reptile lmaoo cold blooded or some magic thing blah blah blah). When he blushes, his skin starts to look like a regular healthy human being’s. If he’s outside in the cold for a long time, he can start to look a bit like a walking corpse--his bad joints are a result of being so cold all the time and also not really doing self care or anything. Hot baths are a nightmare, he might melt.

//he’s also very cold to the touch (another reason why his primary design will probably have him wearing long sleeves, gloves, long pants, etc etc, all buttoned up and stuff, to prevent people from touching him directly). If it’s warm and humid he’d probably form condensation on his skin lmaoooo and he can freeze people with a touch, if he’s consciously doing it.

//also like i feel like he wouldn’t just wander into a forest and create a giant castle, he’s too much of a disaster for that, he’d wander into a forest, stumble into a river or like do other clumsy shit bc he’s a spoiled rich boy who has never run or climbed or done any mountaineering for a single minute in his whole life, climb out, walk another short distance, then fall asleep next to a log, and the next day someone finds him and thinks he’s a corpse, goes to investigate, wakes him up, and he freaks them the fuck out bc the person who discovered him thought he was dead (this just,, idk im just very attached to this idea bc i think it’s funny ghasdlkfjhsl like rene sleeping peacefully, looking like a very run of the mill frozen corpse, then suddenly standing up amidst the cracking and creaking of a thousand old man joints and also the ice that formed on him while he was asleep). I went camping for the first and last time this past summer w/ my sister in laws & her friends, it was awful 😂😂 I got like 100 mosquito bites that became welts, i literally slept in the car the second night & it was mid July fairly south of east coast aka it was humid and sticky af , there were wild horses that walked around..Thank God they brought alcohol cause it was a nightmare I don’t wanna remember 😂😂
