Girl help, I’m regressing to that point in my childhood where I’d imagine a fictional crush standing by my bedside as I try to fall asleep, gazing lovingly down at my resting figure in awe of the raw beauty and honesty that comes with the peaceful stillness of slumber

Since I've had the early Nite lore sitting in my drafts for weeks, and this could get long:
The whole plan to plant a double agent within an extremist faction seeking the Liberation of Night and take them down from the inside was not purely a Sequencer plot. In fact, it was a collaboration between several different factions with a vested interest in stopping said group from enacting a plan that would result in chaos and severe casualties.
The original plan was more elaborate--to plant Roberts in a more moderate faction, with whom some of their members had more radical sympathies, and for him to try to seek an in with this Liberation group.
None of the factions involved had accounted for the Benthic researchers attempting to "cure" Sequencers.
Though neither will remember it after the fact, the escape was chaotic: grab as many documents as you can, inflict violence on whomever comes within striking range, break whatever possible, and get the hell out of there before it's too late.
Which is how Nite properly came to hours later on the streets of London, ear hurting something awful, and a handful of identifying documents, pages of notes of which he could make little sense, and a time for an upcoming meeting.
Nowhere in any of these papers nor his mind, however, was the location or purpose for said meeting.
Poor luck had, shortly after this point, landed him in the wrong neighborhood, where his accent and militaristic posture had him mistaken for a constable or in the employ of the Empress, in a place where both parties were not viewed in high regard. This swiftly devolved into a scrap, broken up by the actual constables, and Nite ended the evening in the back of a police carriage.
His salvation, however, came a few hours later, when an officer he'd never seen before pulled him from his holding cell, returning his items to him with a wink. When he left the station and took stock of his possessions to find a note among them, scrawled on it, an address.
The meeting with the revolutionaries goes well, exceptionally well, and he finds himself absolutely taken with the cause. Not just the cause, but the group fighting for it and how they took him in so readily. There's something about that sense of belonging that feels so right, pushing him to burrow his way deeper into the group and their affections.
They don't know, of course, about the gaps in his memory. And perhaps they don't need to know. He has a good thing going, and there's no need to rock the boat.
There's just one thing that's unusual about the situation: He recognises one of the faces in the group, the good-looking man who seemed exceptionally enthusiastic about their acceptance of him on his first day, who seems to smile at him like they have some sort of a shared secret, who holds eye contact before turning down a secluded corner. It seems to scratch at a part of his brain where he can't quite seem to scrape the memories loose from wherever they're buried. Even without them, he has a pretty good idea of what the man wants. He turns the corner and presses close.
He's wrong.
So very wrong.
The man shoves him, spitting and cursing. He's a constable--does Nite have any idea the kind of hell he could bring down upon him for such filth? After all the work he put in to get Nite where he was. And he could ruin him just as easily. Destroy the relationships he's built over the last weeks.
He panics.
Nite would like to say that he blacked out, that he doesn't remember the murder. But that wouldn't be true. He feels like he should be more unsettled by it, by the fact that his hands seemed to know exactly what to do, how straightforward and simple it all seemed. How he knew just how to ensure that the constable wouldn't be coming back.
And the man was a constable. A mole. The fool even had his badge on him. He could present this to the revolutionaries, that he was forced to stop him in order to save them all. That would make him a hero. Even more devoted to their cause. The man of the hour.
The shocking thing--it works. It's cause for celebration, in fact.
Roberts wakes up in London with no memory since his first arrival at the docks and a killer hangover.

i just saw that tumblr is now selling "tumblr sexyman" sashes, and i immediately imagined your version of the onceler wearing one
i was gonna say something about how much i hate that they’re even monetizing the sexyman shit, but i realized my onceler would love that they’re monetizing it and that that’s infinitely funnier

What is the nichest (is that a word) head canon you have for any of the boys
this was a tricky question but here goes!!
twi (bc ofc): lets talk wolf senses vs hylian senses!
wolfie hearing/scent (a part of it anyway) carries over to his hylian form. he cant see smells/hear spirits like in wolf form but its certainly above average. however! his eyesight is worse as a result. hes not colorblind, he just doesnt see as well as the others which is part of why he relies on sheer instinct so much in a fight.
i almost answered this with his lineage but i am still ironing that out esp where gerudo is concerned (whether or not theres any in his lineage) it gets messy bc i think in order to make it work within canon he would have to be related to ganon and i dont know if thats a can of worms i want to open. just seems like Too Much imo
2. Time!!
he got that blind eye from the fierce deity mask. something something stare into the void it stares back at you. he is in fact blind in that eye, but he can use magic to see through it like a powerful lens of truth. it burns a lot of magic though. when he wears the fierce deity mask, thats the eye he sees out of instead.
3. Legend!
rather than fable's sibling they are cousins. legend's father is the king's brother and is a total deadbeat. they lost any claim to their royalty following his fathers series of fuck ups (a lot of gambling, being a hound in general, drinking problem, etc) and were kicked out of the castle. the king does pity his nephew ofc and thats why leg knows his way around the castle so well and all of the guards and such. he lives with his maternal uncle who is not royal. kid legend struggled to adjust to the sudden lifestyle change and as he is now, resents the king for leaving him in the care of his father. he gets along fine with his uncle but his uncle doesnt have much so legend just moved himself out eventually to ease the burden. hes not home that often anyway. he hasnt seen his dad in years.
4. Four (how apt)
i think he primarily takes care of the house for his grandpa. so four's not a great cook but he *can* if need be. moreover i think he's actually a very tidy person and i think he enjoys cleaning up as a comfort activity. he divides himself up to do chores faster.
hopefully this is what you were asking XD

What do you think Asatrion was like before he was turned? Much different?
Also kinda unrelated but Cazador supposedly taught his spawn to be all seductive etc. Like really?? Cazador did?? Have u met him?? It was Astarion for sure. I think he was always a playful teasing whore and Cazador ruined it like everythong else and made him teach the other spawn. Because cazador being seductive and teaching it to Astarion?? I know we only really get a glimpse of him in game but I can't imagine it!
Ultimately, we do not know. We don't have much of an idea of who he was before, or why, or where, or how. We do not know his family life, his thoughts, or his feelings. It is never mentioned, and I'm sure that's deliberate in a sense. He doesn't remember. It isn't pertinent to his story. It is who he is now that matters. But it is fun to speculate.
People have different ideas about what he was like, and all are valid. All are fair. Some are more likely than others, but at the end of the day, we do not know.
I went into a deep whiny post about that a few days ago about what I think he was like. But that's my idea with my experience, and I might ultimately be wrong.
I do not think that Cazador 'taught' them to be seductive. He expected. He grabbed people he knew had the capability. The charisma. The beauty. He grabbed those who already had the capability. He took them and he said "Bring to me or you will be punished." And after a few times of being punished, they fucking learned. That's how survival works.
Cazador had a type of person he took. Astarion was one of the ones to define it because he was attractive and charismatic. But relying solely on Astarion, who is described as 'defiant and bratty' a multitude of times to 'train' your other spawn probably isn't a good idea. It's a recipe for failure.
I suppose it's entirely possible that Cazador had Astarion try, but if you've ever tried to teach someone something like this, you would know why that's likely not a huge possibility.
The art of seduction isn't something easily taught. You pick it up through interacting with people and being very good at reading them. By having confidence and being desirable. By, in ways, being manipulative and using their own weaknesses against them. It is a game, and you don't start out even knowing the rules most times. 'Teaching' it is hard. It is why pickup artists and those ridiculous 'teachers' almost always fail. They can teach you tricks, but it is you and you interact with people that defines failure or success-- along with the other person. You need to do it to people who are open, and that is the trick: Knowing who is open to it. What they like. Who is vulnerable and who is a waste of time. And he did it professionally.
It's entirely possible Astarion was flirtatious beforehand. I do not think he was a sex god like he had to become under Cazador, but he was an attractive young man. I'm sure he had dalliances. Or maybe he didn't. Maybe he was too busy focusing on other things. I don't think Cazador instrumented his downfall. I don't think he necessarily 'watched' him enough to know that Astarion was good. I think he was a good judge of character and knew he would be adept at learning and already had the tools to succeed.
Ultimately, many of these details are deliberately left to our imaginations. Larian has faith in their players and leaves it to you to deduce. There is also the matter of respecting Astarion and should he ever wish to tell you these things, he might. But that's not something people like us like to talk about to people we don't know or care about. You'd have to earn that privileged information. It's not important to his story, so it is not given to us.
He would have to want to talk about it for you to truly know.
I don't think I would ever call him a whore, given his backstory, however. It's something that might cause more damage than make a point. Especially when he didn't want any of it.

Imagine a twist to the hunger au where watchers have evolved to be silent about what they are for safety, so Grian can't actually tell them what he is. It's complicated, after all.
Also is Martyn aware that original Grian is dead, since he would likely know more about watchers? If so, how does that make him feel?
OUGHHH THATS SO GOOD..... narratives where silence is enforced my BELOVED, im so obsessed with stuff where a character is literally barred from telling someone something. Smth abt literally being incapable of speaking, of communicating whats happening to you.... really hits for me OUGH anon ur MIND
also, Martyn is not fully aware!!! He knows Grian is a Watcher, and he has his suspicions about what that implies, but he doesn't know the specifics or have anything beyond educated guesses and some gut feelings (which are translated from his Listener). I think he wouldnt be terribly surprised to find out that the original Grian is dead, and this one is essentially a Watcher clone; devastated, sure, but in a distant sort of way thats already been dulled a bit due to his suspicions. Martyn strikes me as a realist, so I think while he would privately ache about it, he'd also be focused on how Grian is still like. Right in front of him, and i think the fact that watcher!Grian has og!Grian's memories would still feel like his friend, in his eyes??? Something something ship of theseus, idk take this with a huge hunk of salt because my understanding of Martyn's character is admittedly a little shaky, and this may change later on as i research his character more 😭😭😭😭
