Death echoes

So a while ago, i found this dp x dc post that had a really interesting lore headcanon for Danny’s ghostly wail. Idk if I’ll be able to find it again, I’ll link it here if I do, but essentially it posited that every ghost has something called a “death echo”, which is an ability unique to them based heavily on their deaths. These echoes are the most powerful move in a ghost’s moveset, but they’re also extremely volatile and draining, typically damaging the ghost in some way when used, with Danny’s being his Wail because he died screaming. The original post then went on to some really cool halfa!Jason ideas based on these death echoes, but for this lil snippet with an extremely long intro I’d like to focus on Danny a bit more.

Edit: Apparently I may have extrapolated a lot of the actual lore behind these death echos myself? The inspiration post was a lot longer in my memories. Or I might've mushed multiple posts into one mental box and then forgot lol. So a lot of the actual detail from this point on is seemingly mostly original material? I think? Idk man, sometimes my brain spits out information without giving me any clues as to where it got that information. Anyway, this post got kinda long and since I'm... decently sure this is where I shifted from summarizing @ailithnight's post to writing all my own thoughts I figured here would be a good place to throw the cut lol.

So! with all of the context-for-the-context out of the way, let’s move on to the actual context for what I’m writing cause I can’t be bothered with writing an intro XD

Essentially, this is an au where Danny is an established member of the Justice League, or maybe one of the teen hero teams? I’m a slut for eternal teenager Danny, but maybe he’s enough of a powerhouse to be on the main team despite him both looking and acting like the dumbass fourteen year old he died as. Either way, he’s on a League/League-sanctioned mission and things go bad. Like, everyone-almost-dies bad. And so as a final desperation attack, Danny uses his Wail, a power he’s never told anyone on the league he even has. And it works, and they make it out, but after the fact everyone has. Questions. And because in this au death echoes are deeply personal, Danny dodges those questions, but the league coughbatmancough isn’t satisfied with that. So they push for answers. Answers Danny’s not willing to give, because. In my mind death echoes aren’t just based on how a person died, but also their experience of that death. What their last thoughts were. When Danny died the only thing that he could process beyond just an all-encompassing painpainpainpainpain was the sound of someone screaming. His screaming. And so his death echo is the sound of a fourteen year old child screaming in deathly pain and terror weaponized, which definitely gave the league Even More Questions than they would’ve had already. Which finally brings us to the actual snippet, which is a conversation between John Constantine, who was brought in for his experience with the supernatural once it became clear Danny wasn’t going to talk, and Danny himself.

“So, kid. Batsy tells me you’ve been hiding some of your abilities, wanna tell me what's up with that? Call it an occultist's intuition, but somethin’ tells me you’re not just being stubborn for the hell of it.”

“It’s... complicated. And not anyone’s business, either!”

“Kid...”

“Why does it even matter?! It’s not something I want to or am even able to do on a regular basis! I saved the mission, can’t they just accept that and move on???”

Sighing, Constantine reached up to start massaging his brow. “Kid, you and I both know that ain’t gonna be enough. Now I know that some things are better left alone, but the rest of these idiots? They can’t accept that, Batsy especially. That man’s never left bloody well enough alone in his life”

He looked up just in time to see the otherworldly teen shrink into himself, looking every bit the child he was. “I know but... why? Why do they need to keep asking questions? And why do they only ask the ones that hurt to answer?”

A sharp glance. “The fuck kinda questions are they asking? Batman was speaking in more grunt than word, so I didn’t really catch all the details of what this power you’re supposedly hiding even is.”

Phantom shrinks even more into himself at that, and responds in a voice so small it’s more sigh than speech. “I... I can scream. And it breaks things and pushes people back. But it, it sounds. Bad. And it brings up bad memories and I don’t like to do it or listentoitoreventhinkaboutitandtheywon’tletmeforgetand-”

“Breathe kid. I know you don’t need to but just take a deep breath with me. Don’t you go getting lost in your own head on me now., Constantine reassured the kid automatically, the sheer hopelessness prompting action long before the words themselves could be understood. Then the rest of him caught up, and he had to pause. Looked up at the kid, saw just how distressed he was. A picture was starting to form in the back of his head, and Constantine didn’t like what he saw one bit. A last-resort power that the normally open Phantom was strangely reticent about. A scream so horrible sounding the rest of the league would not to stop asking questions about it. Terrible memories to match said scream. And one truly miserable child who couldn’t bear to even think about any of it. 

“Phantom... is that your Echo? Screaming?”

A miserable nod is his only response, the tears that had been welling up in the kid’s eyes finally starting to fall. Cursing softly to himself, Constantine stood to leave, bracing himself for the Bat’s inevitable questioning. “Well then you just take all the time you need love, and leave the rest to me. I’ll make sure the rest of those idiots know not to ask you about this ever again.”  And with that Constantine turned and strode towards the door, leaving the quietly sobbing child to collect himself in privacy.

I had a whole-ass lore dump conversation between Constantine and Batman planned here, explaining how death echoes are deeply personal, and asking about one is a taboo on par with, potentially even worse than, asking a ghost about their death outright. Because they are formed from an amalgamation of how a ghost died, their last thoughts, and their final emotions, in some ways asking a ghost about their Echo is like asking them to describe their death in painstaking detail. But uhhh... inspiration bug left. So yea. Side note, I’d like to apologize if my depiction of Constantine’s accent was Bad, I’m but a lowly USAmerican whose only exposure to British accents is through tv ^-^’

7. What’s the weirdest thing (character) has done/ would do? I think this is meant to have a specific character mentioned, but I’ll try to give a good answer lol. I think the weirdest thing is def Sky breaking into people’s houses and sleeping in their beds lol. Not even Wild does that. And yeah I know that Sky grew up with the people of skyloft, but I love to imagine that he just does that. So when he’s out of skyloft, he discovers that not everyone likes it when a random stranger goes into their home and sleeps in their beds lol. Apparently people will call the town guard on you 🤔

9. What headcanons/ plans do you have about (character)’s family? I think this is meant to be another specific character, but I think a lot about the Link’s families! Sky, Minish, Time, and Legend I have no ideas, but there’s Hyrule’s family that I think about the most! His mother is a great fairy and his father is a Hylian, so he himself is a half fairy! His father Benji married his mother Faima since he was conceived and they raised him together. But unfortunately, while traveling Hyrule, Benji lost sight of his son, and they got separated. Benji spent most of his time looking for his son (his real name is Orchid) but he was basically renamed Link and was all over Hyrule. So he wasn’t able to find him until after the events of aol. Benji and Faima were pretty distraught knowing how rare and valuable their son is, so it was bad vibes. But now that they’ve reunited, they’re trying to rekindle their relationship! But Hyrule doesn’t remember much of his childhood, just vague memories of his parents, so it’s a challenge.

Twilight’s biological family still has me confused. Idk how old I want him to be when he meets Rusl and Uli, idk how his parents died, idk where they died, idk what’s happening. But I do know that during the temple of time, Link was officially adopted by Rusl and Uli. Very wholesome and cute.

Four’s mother was a very tough woman, which ended up being her demise. When he was 3 months old, she got sick and ended up collapsing cuz she kept pushing through. Leon (Four’s father) found her and took her to the healer, and she ended up dying. Leon had to take time off from being a knight to take care of his son, fortunately the king was very kind and understanding, and many women were able to help feed Four since he was still a baby. When Four got older, the king allowed him and Lily (his Zelda) to be raised together while Leon was working. That’s why the two are so close, and Leon helped Lily when the king eventually passed away. It’s just Four and his father now

Windy’s parents died when he was like… four? Or five. He was pretty young. His mother died during child birth, and his father and grandfather died during a hurricane. Grandma and Aryll were all he had left. He has vague memories of his father, he still remembers him promising Windy to take him fishing someday. But it never happened.he adores his sister and grandma of course, and he sorta had to grow up to help raise Aryll and many of the kids on outset. He was at an awkward age where he was too young to hang out with the adults, but too old to hang out with the kids, and he always had to babysit them. So he spent a lot of time alone or with Aryll, since she’s a lovely sister.

I have no ideas for Spirit so moving onto Wild and Age. They basically have the same family sooooo yeah. His father is Ammon and his mother is Sarah. Sarah is from Hateno and trained under her father to be a blacksmith. Ammon is from castle town and has had a rough time after his older brother, Georgie, died. He got motivated to join the army and to protect people, and that led him to Hateno where he and Sarah met. Age/Wild have/had a younger sister named Aryn, who’s much younger than her older brother, probably around 12, and she’s a more positive upbeat kinda gal. His grandfather is an intimidating and strict old man, but he has a soft spot for his grandchildren. They rarely see Ammon’s parents tho since their relationship is very strained. Not much else to say, beloved. Rip Wild.

And Warriors…. When he was very little, probably 5, he was with his twin sister Linkle, his grandmother, and his father. Monsters attacked their village and they got separated, with Linkle sticking with her grandmother, and Warriors sticking with his father. They all assumed they were dead. Linkle and her grandmother stayed at some outskirts village while Warriors and his father stayed near castle town since his father is a knight. Warriors got pretty popular with the knights that his father knew, and when he was 12, his father passed away. Warriors went to his father’s best friend, Theo and asked him to train him when he was 13 cuz he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps, so he was trained. Hence why he’s so good at fighting. Their grandmother died a little before the war of eras, so he never reunited with her. But he and his twin sister were able to meet again :)

Phew ok that’s it, I hope that makes sense and I hope that’s how you’re supposed to answer the question 😭😭

14. Do you have any headcanons about the races of Hyrule? Man this would’ve been the perfect time to talk about Hylians vs humans 😭😭 guess I’ll do it again. Hylians and humans are very similar to each other, but they are physically different! Obviously Hylians have pointy ears, and it allows them to hear better than humans. They’re also much tougher than humans. They can fall from a high height into water or on land and have a higher chance of surviving than if a human were to fall. They can also handle extreme temperatures much better than humans. This is all based on gameplay in Zelda, which I know that Link is pretty tough in game cuz it’s a video game, but hey, there’s gotta be some differences! This is more focused on my strangers across eras au but it’s fun to think of differences between the races!

i don't have much to say about margo bc sadly, she's barely there. what i will say though is that as cute as miles and margo would be together, there’s one more movie left lol. the third movie’s gna be busy as hell. there’s literally no time for romance, and to rush miles and margo (two people who just met) into liking each other in, like, a three hour timespan would just be terrible writing. plus, we all know she’s there for some bs having to do with miles nd gwen, which is literally soooooooo very lame, words can't describe. one, where are you finding the time to cram in jealousy/all this angsty romance mess when miles’ dad is ab to die and the universe is ab to collapse bc of a nigga that looks like the lovechild of a cardboard box and a cow?? two, is this really all margo is here for?? to make gwen jealous or “help miles realize he’s in love with gwen” ?? shameeee, like summer said. 😐 i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: margo could be SO much more than a disposable love interest!!!

listen, even if (when?) gwen and miles team up to save his dad, it won’t change the fact that gwen was keeping some hefty info from miles, yo. she was smiling in jeff’s face and cracking jokes like she didn’t know he was bout to die. y’all gotta be so very real with yourselves. you wouldn’t wna date, let alone be FRIENDS with someone who kept something that big from you, regardless of the circumstances or lack of ill intent. one of the most important people in your life concealing the fact that you’re about to lose another important person in your life is insane.

i’m aware that gwen didn’t tell miles about his dad because she genuinely thought it’d cause mass destruction if he saved jeff. thing is, even if miles knew that, i think he’d still feel betrayed. that’s 100% valid because this is his dad we’re talking about. he just lost his uncle not too long ago, too. i wouldn’t blame miles if he never wanted anything to do with gwen again. i wouldn’t blame bro if he got sick to his stomach every time he saw her. it’d be justified, bc if he never followed her that night, then he wouldn’t have had the chance to save jeff.

my point is that you can be a “good person” and still fuck up bad enough to make someone never wna speak to you again. miles is a sweetheart so he’ll probably forgive gwen. my thing is, miles forgiving gwen doesn’t mean the two of them are obligated to be friends again. they can handle it maturely, go their separate ways, nd never speak again. it’s really not even gna hurt y’all cuz it’s the last mf movie anyway??? 😭😭

if it isn’t clear by now, i don’t want miles and gwen together at all. they have no business being around each other frl 🙃 not as friends and definitely not as lovers. like, sure, that one scene where they’re swinging/talking on the bank was my absolute fav. it was cute. i shipped them before i really thought about it. that scene is still my fav, but my adoration for it isn’t gna stop me from keeping it real.

i really don’t care what anyone says or how in love they think these two are, this isn’t a “forgive and forget” situation. if the writers truly wanted gwen and miles to be involved romantically, then not only should they have structured their dynamic better, they shouldn’t have made gwen the person she was in this movie. love, love, LOVE redemption arcs because it’s a reminder that we're human and we're flawed, but you can’t redeem yourself from that. sorry. (not) i say miles should leave that girl alone 🤷‍♀️ leave all potential girls alone ffs.

in conclusion, it’s okay for miles to be single. he's 15 anyway, it's not like he'll die without a girl. i’m the suckiest sucker for anything to do with romance, but characters in film/animation don’t need to have love interests for a project to be considered good. if you feel like it does, then maybe ts you’re watching just sucks, lmao. a girl and a boy can be friends without one having feelings for the other, or both of 'em having mutual feelings. (in the media idk ab irl..) it’s time to stop forcing ts. please.

and it’s okay y’all, i promise you. it’s okay if miles and gwen don’t end up dating. it's okay if they reconcile and stay friends. it’s okay if they reconcile and don’t stay friends. though unlikely, it’s also okay if miles doesn’t forgive gwen at all! resolutions like these go to show that you can “forgive” someone without letting them have access to you anymore. that’s what miles needs to do. straying away from the “happy ending” everyone is expecting would be nice. it’d be a different approach and a realistic way to complete the franchise. (i’m not just saying this bc i love angst)

but before the gwiles (ugly ass ship name btw) fans start throwing up and telling me to end my shit, it’s 99% unlikely that anything i just stated will actually happen. we’re more than likely getting a kiss between miles and gwen, nd that’s bc the writers are probably high off the same dope they were on when they wrote gwen sneaking in thru miles’ window, j for his parents to be way more calm about it than any other normal parent would be. i could say some more about certain scenes but that's for another night.

miles doesn’t need to be with anyone. especially not gwen when it comes down to it.

oh and i HATE peter b. fuck that nigga. he was nun but an extra in this movie and i know he’s an opp in the next. 🙎‍♀️

Whumptober day 13- infection

Idk if any of you remember the post about me asking about how to write signing, but that post was for this fic. This is about Moon, my beloved Link oc and he is deaf, so I needed to write a way for him to be signing. I was originally going just use apostrophes but most of the deaf people who responded to that post said how I should use normal quotation marks, so that’s what I did. I hope it won’t get confusing, I tried to make it clear that Moon and Groose were signing, so just know that when they’re talking to each other, they’re signing. Thanks again to the deaf people who responded to that post ☺️

Link had been distant from the others for a while now, and Groose was starting to get worried about him. Link wasn’t a very social person, so him keeping to himself wasn't at all strange, especially after what happened in Groose’s own home. But the way he walked away from Groose everytime he approached him was odd, it was almost as if he was avoiding him. Farore noticed his behavior as well, and though she tried to talk to him about it, it seemed to have been in vain.

“He won’t talk to me,” she said, her little bunny nose twitching, “I know that he’s still new at signing, but I figured that he’d at least tell me something.”

Groose shrugged. “Link isn’t that new to sign language. He’s actually quite a chatterbox whenever we talk.”

Farore frowned. “So he’s good at sign language, why isn’t he telling me anything?”

“You’re a goddess aren’t you? Shouldn’t you know everything?”

“Knowing everything is Nayru’s job, not mine!”

Groose rolled his eyes. “Isn’t that just convenient.”

“Watch it Groosie, I’m still a goddess.”

Groose snorted. “Sure sure, don’t call me Groosie. So what should we do?”

Farore hopped closer to him and rested against his legs. “Have you tried talking to him?”

“I have. He just walks away from me. I’m worried.”

“Well, you should try harder.”

Groose was taken aback. Of course he would’ve tried harder, but after what happened, he didn’t want to overstep his boundaries. “W-why me? He’s with you all the time!”

“Yes, but… I think you’re the first friend he’s ever had. Plus, you’re both the same age, I think you’ll have an easier time connecting with him.”

“Farore, I’ve tried to talk to him. It’s not gonna work now.”

“Then try harder.”

“Oh my Din, why do you want me to try harder? You’re around him more, you know him more, I… my mom tried to get him killed, why would he— why would he want to talk to me?”

“Groose, please,” Farore pleaded, giving him a serious look. “Just try one more time.”

Groose groaned “Fine! Fine, I’ll ‘try harder’!”

“Thank you.”

Groose glared at Farore and stomped away. He didn’t care that she was a goddess and that he was sassing her, she was annoying, and it wasn’t like she was Din anyways. It took him a moment to find Link, but Groose finally found him under a tree by a pond. His eyes were closed, and he was holding his leg with a strained expression on his face. Groose frowned and knelt down in front of him, lightly tapping him on the knee. Link flinched and his eyes opened wide as he stared at Groose in shock, but he calmed down when he realized he was in no danger.

“Are you ok?” Groose signed, titling his head in concern. Link was pale, and his eyes had bags underneath them.

“I’m good,” Link quickly signed back, and Groose figured that he would say that. It’s all he told him since he started acting strange.

“Just try one more time.”

Farore’s words echoed through Groose’s mind and he rolled his eyes. He should obey the goddess, or at least put some effort in. But he couldn’t shake the feeling that Link was still upset over what happened with his mother… he didn’t want to overstep his boundaries.

Link’s eyes closed and Groose tapped his leg again, being met with annoyed blue eyes.

“You’re not good. You look sick.”

Link looked away, and Groose moved so he was in his vision.

“Are you sick?”

Link pursed his lips and looked down at his leg. “It won’t slow me down. Don’t worry,” he finally answered. Groose frowned. That was a weird thing to say.

“I don’t care that it won’t slow you down, I care that it will hurt you, or worse.”

Link stared at him, his grip around his leg tightening. Groose noticed and reached for his hand, but stopped.

“May I?” He asked, and Link didn’t respond. Groose slowly reached for his hand again, and Link didn’t fight back, instead, he let his hand be taken off his leg. Groose didn’t know what he expected, but he realized that with Link wearing pants, it would be difficult to see anything wrong. Groose sighed, at least there was no visible blood. “Does it hurt there?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“I got a cut. It’s been there for a while.”

Groose felt his blood run cold. Was there an infection?

“I need to see it. Now,” Groose signed rather quickly, and Link looked at him confused. He brought his fingers together in one hand and pointed them all to his palm, then dragged a finger up his arm slowly. Groose sighed and signed a little slower and more clearly. “I need to see your injury. This could be serious.”

“I’ve turned out fine before.”

“Have you had cuts like this before?”

“I have. And I’ve walked them off before.”

“Link, you can’t just walk injuries off.”

“I had to,” Link’s face had nothing but anger written on it, and he stared straight into Groose’s eyes that it made him squirm. “If I couldn’t, then I would’ve been left for dead!” Link’s arms flailed slightly as his hands flip-flopped at the end of his sentence.

Groose backed away a little as Link’s breathing grew heavy, tears beginning to appear in his eyes. Guilt gripped Groose’s heart as he thought about everything that happened before. His mother trying to kill Link, the slavers tormenting Link with their very existence, and Groose didn’t do enough to stop it. He sighed and stared at Link’s shaking hands. He looked up and waved at Link to make sure he was watching.

“You won’t be left for dead. Not with me. I promise,” he signed slowly and clearly, making sure that Link understood that Groose would never do such a thing. “You’re my friend,” Groose’s pointer fingers hooked together, and he kept them there for a while while Link just stared, looking more exhausted than before, and Groose tried again. “Let me help you. Please.”

Link finally nodded and let Groose check his leg. He rolled up his pants and inspected his shin, which was where the injury was. Groose was not a medic by any means, but he could tell that with the way the cut was inflamed that it was infected. He decided to go to Farore to help, figuring that she would know what to do more than himself. Groose’s worry grew when Link limped painfully to Farore, and he knew that the infection was severe, he just didn’t know how bad it was.

Thankfully, Farore knew ingredients for a healing potion, which Groose was able to make right away. As soon as Link drank it, he started to act more like himself. His color returned to him, his fever went down, and his eyes were lit up again. Groose was relieved that the healing potion worked, and he stuck by Link’s side while it went through his system. It didn’t take long for Link to finally fall asleep, and Groose was left alone with Farore, who was curled up on his chest for comfort.

“I knew you could do it,” she said after a moment of silence.

“Do what?” Groose asked.

“Get through to him.”

Groose rolled his eyes, but he smiled slightly.

“Why were you so intent on me getting through to him though? He likes you more, you—“ Groose paused, feeling guilty again, “you aren’t responsible for his pain.”

Farore tilted her head. “You’re not responsible for his pain either.”

“No, not for all of it, but… if I had stood up to my mother more, or had spoken up against the slavers that she worked with or—or anything to stop my mother’s involvement with slavery I— Link wouldn’t had suffered like he did!”

Farore frowned. “That’s not fair to you Groose. You are not responsible for your mother’s actions. You were manipulated by her. You didn’t understand the extent of what was happening with slavery.” Farore got close to Groose’s face. “You didn’t know any better.”

“I should’ve known. I’m going to be the king of the Gerudo, I should’ve known better.”

Farore made a sad face and backed away. “You’re only sixteen. You’re still a child.”

Groose didn’t say anything and instead held onto Link’s hand. Farore rested her paw on their clasped hands and they all stayed there for a moment, until Farore spoke up again.

“I’m not gonna be with him forever.”

Groose looked at her confused. “What do you mean?”

“When this is all over, me and my sisters will return to the sacred realm, we will leave Hylia to protect Hyrule again, and… I’ll have to leave Link behind.”

Groose stared at her. She was going to leave everything behind?

“I won’t be gone gone,” she quickly clarified, “I’ll be here in spirit, and I’ll listen and answer your prayers. But physically I won’t be here anymore. I just want…. I just want Link to have support when I’m away. That’s why I pushed you to talk to him.”

“O-oh,” was all that Groose was able to say. Though he knew she was a goddess, it was easy to forget. Farore gave Groose a smile and hopped away. But before she jumped off the bed, she turned to Groose.

“Link doesn’t blame you for anything. I hope you know that.”

Groose’s hand tightened around Link’s. He didn’t believe her, even though he knew she was right, it wasn’t ok for Groose to believe her. Farore hummed at his reaction.

“You should talk to Link about it.”

Groose pursed his lips and stared at his unconscious friend. “I’ll do it when he’s better.”

Farore smiled slightly. “Ok, fair enough. Do it when he’s better.” Groose smiled at Farore before she jumped off the bed, leaving him alone with Link.

This is prob a longer answer than you expected but here it is. I am much more of an album listener than a playlist listener. I like to put on an album or artist and just get immersed in their work one at a time. Especially bc I feel like streaming has sort of taken away from the experience of albums as cohesive works. Here’s the Julien Baker album that has been stuck in my brain on repeat recently. Love a sad, existential record.

Playlists are also great though and I will def put on a playlist to run to or have in the background, etc. And I admire people who can curate great playlists!

And here’s where I’ll admit to my deep and abiding love of Taylor Swift and her songwriting. My longest fandom experience is with her work. So. Here’s a playlist called Taylor Swift bridges that are god-tier bc that woman can write a fucking bridge like no one else.

lol. 10. And thanks for indulging me by adding this question and letting me talk about it. I am a copy editor as a career and also as a hobby. I have loved words and language as long as I can remember, and I think I find more joy in helping other people wrangle and finesse their writing until it says just exactly what they want it to say than in writing my own work. I’ve told you this, but the fact that editing is a solitary activity that is also inherently very collaborative is perfect for my personality. There is also something that is just so satisfying to me about a perfectly punctuated sentence with smooth syntax and prosody that also communicates meaning effectively. A well-used semi-colon is sexy. And I love standing in as an advocate for the reader to make sure their experience is as close to what the author intends as possible. I could go on.

🥤 ⇢ recommend an author or fanfic you love

God. This is the longest fic I’ve ever read by a wide margin, but it has become so special to me I have to shout it out:

Here’s what I wrote in my AO3 bookmark for it: Author takes us from intimate, provincial romance to epic, sweeping action/tragedy so deftly I can’t even believe it. I’ve never been so invested in an original side character or cried harder reading a fic. This one is special.

It’s a story about the two of them falling in love slowly and messily with lots of false starts and obstacles that deals with identity and grief and longing and self-loathing and forgiveness and has a Mobius backstory where he contends with queer prejudice in 1990s America and it also includes hot smut and I just cannot recommend it enough. (It’s technically not finished but very close to and there are over 200k words published.)

Idk if this is a head canon so much as just the way I personally read the text of the show but: Mobius has religious trauma and his experience with the TVA is akin to fundamentalist Christian indoctrination. Loki is the spark that helps him begin to deconstruct and heal and wake up to himself and what he actually wants.

Also: Loki LOVES having his hair played with and Mobius loves to have his hands in Loki’s hair.

Mmm, idk about one piece of media but, as a medium, song lyrics and poetry. Anything I’ve started writing lately has usually been sparked by a lyric. I feel like lyrics are able to evoke much more complex stories in so few words, which I think is magical.

Immediately? Hmm, well, I will say when a fic has something in the summary like “Where Loki doesn’t turn into a dumb tree and they can actually be together,” I will not click to begin with. I’m happy to read certain kinds of fix-its or universes where the ending is different or not relevant, but if an author is actively throwing shade at the canon ending, I just assume we have such different readings of the show that what we want from a fic probably doesn’t align very well.

First and foremost, I shall introduce myself!

Hiya! I go by Binkus, though it is not my real name haha

My preferred pronouns are they/them but I don’t care really! Call me anything u want I guess. I love the Legend of Zelda series, along with au’s that’s have to do with the series like Linked Universe, which I usually post on. Occasionally I will post cool things I find throughout the games of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, like dialogue clues to other storylines and sh like that.

Second, I do art! I happily take art requests, so feel free to absolutely demolish my ask box with any requests you have. I promise I’ll get through them.

I post art on a (probably, maybe, most likely, idk) somewhat regular schedule, but it all depends I guess. I draw LU boys and personal loz art. But again, give me art requests and I’ll be so happy to do them I’ll post like immediately 😭

School, sports and other things have been sucking the absolute life out of me so the schedule of regular posting will vary. I’m a bit sad now but I’m lucky to have something to do like this when I’m not bawling my eyes out over literal homework lol. (That’s does it, y’all now know I despise math)

Another hfth drabble 🥳😍☺️ I missed the gang and my main couple 🥰 The return of Jinnie’s cursed playlist 😂 Idk but I actually wouldn’t mind a car ride with him but I guess I understand Jk just wanting alone time with MC 😏 And he’s also so cute sulking for not being the favorite anymore, i think it’s MC at this point with Jimin just being a close second lol 😂 The random petting!!! I also hate it when I see random people try to pet other people’s dogs without permission, like they’re entitled to it or something. And then when they get bitten or what, they act as if as if they’re a victim 🙄 It just irks me, sorry for the rant 😅 And I just love that Jk showed her his childhood diner (it’s a diner, right?) that their family always went to, cause he’s including her in another family tradition 🥺 And can I just say, I love how the drabbles are just how they spend different holidays. Just like how the title states, they’re always home for the holidays or atleast celebrating it together with friends and/or family. Just love that. Celebrating Easter like this always fascinated me cause in my country, it’s more of a traditional Christian holiday and not this egg-hunting one. The diner is something I went to growing up. My parents went there before they met and continued to do so after and I took my husband there as well. It’s also near the church I went to as a child and we’d head there for lunch after.

The part with Luna happened to me and we were both shocked. This random man came up to me 10 years ago and put his hand in my dog’s mouth and asked if she bites. When I tell you I was dumbfounded and so was my dog 💀

Ah the Easter thing, I called my mom/family holiday!catholics bc it was the only time we were in church 😅 for my family it was about getting together and the Easter egg hunt was for the kids. We’d either buy the eggs or go to my grandmother’s house to dye eggs and stuff them with confetti.

I hope I can sprinkle a little more taejin in the next one lol they fight like nobody’s business but they could be flirting 👀

I absolutely loved their story! I have to read more but I’ve been trying to balance reading fanfics and books and writing and video games and tv shows and it’s a lot lol I’ve been trying to read shorter fics for the past few months but I have a long lists of long fics I’d love to get into 👀

it’s without a doubt that, in this seasons, i find so much visual/auditive metaphors that is super interesting to break down! and i think the fishes in the ending just represent their whole situation in the show, just by seeing the fish going black i was like ‘oh somethings going to happen’. i’ll get in more details!

disclaimers - i am not a pro on either of their characters, it’s based on my perception so things might not feel accurate… feel free to correct me if needed and you can also provide your own info/perception if you want! i am always happy to discuss about it! / i might add more precisions if i feel it’s needed, i will reblog with the info! [CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2] / also, might contain errors, i wrote this late at night/early in the morning and didn’t have the time to edit it (it will be done sooner or later)

so, let’s start with how they appear the first time: they both appear in white which is most of the time linked with purity. in the start of this arc, even if they have different visions when it comes to the duty of a jujutsu sorcerers and their purpose, they are still able to connect with each other. it’s pretty easy to identify which fish represents who: the black eyed one is geto while the blue eyed one is gojo. i also like how the fishes has a resemblance to them, geto’s fish as (idk how to call those actually lol) lines that remind me of his bang/how his hair are tied and gojo’s fish is more filled which kind of represent his hair somehow.

(also, i noticed that the fishes go in the directions of the other, blue eyed fish goes left while geto is shown more on the left side and black eyed fish goes to the right while gojo is show on the right side, it’s like they’re joining each other like they do in the ending: they’re meeting up)

then, we see the fish that represent geto fade to black after the wave hit him. the wave represents the turning moment for his philosophy and his motives, the moment when gojo told him they could kill the people in the room. that’s when they started to drift apart, also shown in that ep with the color and the wall between them + they are not looking at each other. geto is in the blue, he still believes that it’s not the right thing to do since they seemed innocent. gojo is in the red, which is a colour mostly connected with violence, who propose that idea. between them, there’s a wall which visually represents how their views differ and conflict with each other. it is the turning point for geto and the moment that he starts to doubt his believes. all to say, that wave represents that moment. it hit him hard and it ‘corrupted’ him. black his not linked with good things most of the time, and that showed he fell into the darkest corner of his mind. meanwhile, the fishes are also drifting appart.

another shot i thought was interesting was when they looked at each other’s fish. i am not so sure about how to take gojo’s reaction, but geto’s is pretty obvious to me. so here is their respective reaction (start & end of the sequence)

gojo’s part - as i said, i am not quite sure what to say about his reaction since he doesn’t really show any big emotions. the only thing i can get is maybe he was clueless about what was happening in his mind. he noticed something was up with him since he did ask him if he was fine, but suguru doesn’t share what is really happening inside so satoru can’t guess what is happening to him. he just sees it and doesn’t get it since it’s a debate happening in someone else’s mind.

geto’s part - he looks at the fish before looking down and closing his mind. it feels like he knows their relationship will be affected by that change. he seems like he’s looking away as a way of saying ‘i understand we will not be able to get along, i need to let go’. while he doesn’t share about the whole situation, he knows that depending on the path he takes it will have repercussions on the things around him which includes his relationship with geto. that’s why i perceive some sadness, but not necessarily some regret since it’s his belief and he seems like someone who will follow it to seek the ideal world he seeks.

also, notice the lighting: satoru is in the light while suguru is in the shadow. it represents their mental state.

i cannot add any pictures anymore sadly, but the last shot we see is geto’s fish following gojo and gojo’s fish following geto. then, the fishes disappear. this could represent their future. i think that the human version represent them in the present and the fishes are what will happen to them, the fishes disappearing shows that their relationship faded because of the divergent path they stand in.

SO! in conclusion - i want to note how parallel is something that seems to be very present in jujustu kaisen, which is very interesting! being a jujutsu sorcerer, facing death and sometime the need to end someone’s life for their own good (for exemple, yuji and the transformed human because of mahito) or to save more people (themselves or the enemy) creates differences between the characters. depending on what they experienced, the people they met and at what time, how they coped with their emotions, etc. makes them see the world another way. it’s something i really enjoy, since it feels like these things influence their actions and how the story is told. if one character is changed for another, things could drastically change. all to say that having character that mirros each other is great. in the case of satoru and suguru, their contrasting personality is what made them have different outcome to the situation that affected geto’s philosophy of life.

i hope you liked it! and i also feel like i over analyzed that but i stand by what i said. i don’t know if it makes sense but i wanted to share that! see you and take care :)

You should! I’ve seen other authors post fic rec threads. Mainly on twitter tho (I refuse to call it x, will forever be twitter to me). They post a brief summary and a link to the fic. That’s how I found some of my favs!! Yeah, for sure would have to be confident that the right crowd would be the only one to see recs. Wouldn't want it to reach the wrong audience 😬

Omg, it would turn out like those memes where the premise is when your cousins are over and you guys end up laughing instead of sleeping while trying to not wake up your mother 🤣. Well if you say that I definitely do have recs but they aren’t exactly fanfics and really depends how you feel about the genre as a whole…..these books have 100% destroyed my soul but I’ll rec them in a heartbeat (it's what my main account centered around). They hold such a special place in my heart (really helped me out in my teen years), but I am careful with who I share them with due to past experiences. I shared them with, who I thought was a friend at the time, but they obvs didn’t care which made me feel like I was too forceful sharing my passion; like,, sorry if I came off as too much I was just excited to share….

Not that I think you’ll do that and I’ve toned down excitement levels when first sharing, unless the person is just as passionate as me lol, but nevertheless all I ask from others is that if you truly aren’t interested just say so in the beginning instead of leading me on 😅. We can always find something else that we share a passion in. Idk, I don’t mean to sound vague/guarded but that experience still haunts me sometimes…..(I feel like I brought down the vibes, I didn’t mean for it to get so negative at the end I swear 😔). Anyway, I’d be down to drop the titles if you want

Okay, uh… Hmm… That's a tough one. I usually mostly read reader-inserts as of late, but I'm always open to discovering new ships and there are certain characters I multiship like no one's business (like Tohru, Zelda, Link, and Haruhi off the top of my head). There's a lot of fics I still gotta re-find concerning canon x canon, and it makes me so sad that just today I removed several from my bookmarks that the author of had deleted. I'll read any kind of ratings G-E, and I like everything from fluff to angst to smut to humor, platonic or romantic. For E rated fics, anal stuff isn't really my thing, nor spanking or the dirty talk that involves daddy kink or names like 'bitch' 'slut' etc. I'm not a fan of inflation or food kink (in like, the extreme feederism you see in r34 art. I can handle the whipped cream on the tiddies or pouring wine on someone's body and drinking it stuff, but I don't like force feeding or overfeeding until the character throws up or pressing/squishing their stomach to make them throw up, which I have seen in fic before. Not my thing), anything to do with feces or piss, or hardcore descriptive gore. Descriptive body horror tends to make me nauseous, and while I have powered through gorey irl books, I do not like necrophilia or wound fucking, which I discovered the latter was a thing pretty recently. And I'm not very fond of bugs more often than not, though I'll make an exception for Cell.

Other than that, I'm pretty open-minded and can't really think of any other hard no's off the top of my head, though I would prefer no recommended Trigun fics until after I finish FTPOF and maybe it's manga variant. I've been kinda holding off looking back through the Trigun fandom now on Ao3 because I'm scared I'll see something in someone's fic that I really want or plan to use in mine and psyche myself out of using it or change it because I'll be worried about idea theft claims. It's like, right now, even if I still get idea theft claims ever, I won't be worried about it 24/7, you know? XD I won't feel like I'm stealing anything if I don't know it exists currently in someone else's fic! Oh gosh,… As for fandoms, I've been in quite a few… I don't think I could possibly list them all. I haven't really checked out stuff on Ao3 yet (x reader. There's way more I haven't checked out for canonxcanon just yet): Naruto, The Legend of Zelda (but please no ToTK spoilers just yet. Rauru be lookin fine tho 👀), Undertale, Claymore, Pokemon, Fruits Basket, Black Butler, Death Note, OHSHC, Wolf's Rain, Spider-verse, FNAF, Psycho-Pass,… I used to also read oc / oc when it came to monster fics. I love those. As for canonxcanon, other fandoms I enjoy are: Bleach, Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, Detroit: Become Human, Yu-Gi-Oh, Transformers,… Uh, can't think of anymore rn. ^^; At least not ones I know are probably pretty decently sized on Ao3.

Books, you say? 👀 Depending on what they are, I might not have access to them for a while as I can no longer shop online at the moment, but if they're something I could potentially find locally, I'd be willing to check them out. D': Aw, I'm sorry! I've definitely felt that way in the past, feeling too intense about my interests, and I've toned down a lot when sharing things irl because of this. DX Oh, gosh yes! I wish people would just be more upfront about their disinterest! I even had a so-called "friend" once lie to me about checking out something that I was talking to them about, leading me on and making me think they watched it too. And… I would have just not talked about it if they'd told me upfront they didn't care enough to actually check it out or hear about it; we could have used that time to be talking about something else, but no. You're okay, I promise! Being vague/guarded is totally valid after an experience like that! (You're okay, don't worry! You didn't bring the mood down or make it too negative! I was worried that I did with some of my earlier responses, and I'm sorry and apologize if that's true.)

But yes, I'd love to hear about it! I like reading physical books just as much as fanfiction, and I really love the fantasy genre with a dash of realism, but I'll read about any book my mom and I are given which are often your generic romance and suspense books you can find almost anywhere with the usually white and red covers for the romance and the purple and black for suspense. Right now I'm actually finally giving Pride and Prejudice a chance (as I've heard so much good about it and we had a school library give it to us) alongside The Hunger Games books and a generic cowboy romance called One Lucky Cowboy. I've also been dabbling in Nancy Friday's spicy women and men's fantasy novels for smut inspiration. Usually the only reason I'll put down a book is if there's like, hard no stuff for me which has only happened twice so far? A book about witches scared me with the details it went into with the witchcraft (I can't recall the title) and I could not handle the start of the first The Vampire Chronicles book and dropped it. But I could handle The Mountain King by Rick Hautala, Blood Trail by Tanya Huff, Endless Night by Richard Laymon (which was arguably the most fucked up book I've read so far), the first The Passage book by Justin Cronin and I've even made it up to A Dance With Dragons in the ASOIAF series (part listening, part actually reading) and listened to a lot of the Chaos Seeds (up to book 8: Monsters. Sion my beloved :')) books on Audible.

XD Trust me, I'd love to, but fate is stopping me from getting that particular fic file back and has been for over a year now. If it can't be recovered, I do fully intend to make the best of what I had on my USB that I so foolishly did not back up that night from the temporary laptop I'd been using which would not boot up the next morning. I do intend to post it one way or another if I can, but… I really would love to get the version I'd been polishing that should still be on the hard drive. :O Wait, really? XD Omg! Sometimes, I tell ya, that's just how it be. I dunno what it is. They like, seem to have a mind of their own sometimes.

Which,… The movies cut out a lot of details and a lot of it is hard to convey movie-wise mostly because it's all in Katniss' head, all her inner thoughts and feelings. She's very stone faced outwardly because she has to be in the books, and that's often how she comes across in the movies. It's all an act, though. Her inner feelings are very loud inside, but she has to be strong and it sucks because she's still just a teenager.

chan turned his head from hearing elsy’s voice as she walked towards him. he looked elsy up and down, smiling as she came closer. “why yes I am.” he said in english. “I seem to have found my special someone.”

elsy let out a chuckle as chan wrapped an arm around her. “you look beautiful by the way.” he complimented.

“thank you, you don’t look too bad yourself.” elsy said, breaking apart as she looked up at chan. “happy anniversary, channie.”

chan couldn’t help but smile. “happy anniversary, my elsy.” he said back. “I hope you’re ready for today.” elsy lifted a brow, smirking. “and what do you have planned today mr. bang chan?”

“well for starters, since it is morning. how about a cafe? and we’ll go on with our day from there.” he said. elsy nodded her head. “I like that idea. sounds perfect to me.”

the two headed to a nearby cafe, grabbing a beverage and also some pastries to have on the side. they sat outside of the cafe at a table, enjoying the first thing they were going to do for the day. “are you ready to go to states?” elsy questioned chan.

“very.” chan smiled. “I know everyone else is too.” he said. “think you’ll survive without me?”

elsy let out a laugh. “of course not, I need you here with me.” she joked, causing chan to chuckle. “yeah I think I’ll survive, make sure to facetime me.”

“oh, of course.” chan said. “every chance I’ll get, I’ll call you.” he grabbed onto elsy’s hand, causing the girl to blush a little. “you better.”

“how is that comeback of yours going?”

“I put it off for right now to focus on my comeback with got7.” elsy answered. “but I will say, you’ll be seeing a new side of me for my new comeback.” she winked. “won’t say too much though.”

“well whatever it is, I’m sure you’ll do great.” chan said. “like always.”

“oh you know it.” elsy smiled. “but now I’m really happy to be having a comeback with my boys again.”

“ah yes, I can’t wait for that.”

chan and elsy took their last bite of their pastry before throwing their trash away and leaving the cafe. they were strolling down the city, elsy linking her arm with chan’s. “now, where else is the bang chan taking me?” she chuckled.

“taking you to the place of the second time we hung out when we were trainees.” chan answered. it made elsy think, as she became silent. the girl thought back of when her and chan were younger. there were many things they done together, perks of being best friends back in the day.

elsy thought hard, chan glancing over as he slightly laughed at elsy being a little spaced out from thinking back.

they continued to walk, when a couple of seconds passed by elsy finally knew what chan was talking about. “ah!” she snapped her finger. “I know exactly where we are going.”

and right when she saw they were going up to namsam mountain, elsy knew she was correct. “we’re doing the love lock again?” she questioned. chan nodded. “I also wanted to see if we could find our old one.”

“that was years ago, might be a little difficult.” elsy said. “but won’t hurt to at least try.”

before the two could search, they both picked out their new lock to put on the fence. both agreeing on a red heart shaped lock. then after, they began their search on their old lock.

“do you remember where we placed it?” chan questioned. elsy was walking in front of him, remembering the location. “it was somewhere around here.” she knew it was at the very top of the tower. “around this corner.” the two looked closely to see if they could find it. the last time being there was when they were around 15.

“I found it!” chan said. elsy gasped when seeing the lock chan was slightly holding in his hand. “oh my god, that was easy.” elsy chuckled. it was only a regular lock, red as well. elsy took a look on the back, the writing being in english and she read it out loud.

“let’s stay friends forever. c and e.” the girl smiled at chan, remembering she was the one who wrote it. “that was maybe eleven years ago. we were about 15, and now here we are again, but for a different reason.”

“yeah, that is a lot of years.” chan chuckled. “what shall we put on this one?”

elsy thought for a moment before grabbing the lock and marker from chan. “hm.” she thought. but chan was quick to snatch it back. “you got to write it last time, it’s my turn this time. plus I kinda have an idea on what to write.”

elsy snorted. “very well then, chan. take it away.”

chan went ahead and wrote what he thought of before handing it to elsy for her to read. “you’re my favorite forever. let’s never break apart.” she read in english. the girl looked up at chan, pouting at him. “chan.” she said. “I really am your favorite person.”

chan blushed. “always have.”

“you’re my favorite person too.” elsy said while giving chan a side hug. “always.” she kissed his cheek before going closer to the fence.

“let’s lock it in the same place as our old one.” before elsy did so, she signed their initials to c and e then locking the lock to the fence. “lovely.” she said in english.

elsy and chan snapped a few photos before walking away and doing the next thing. which it was something chan had been wanting to take elsy to. he knew she always loved being gifted flowers so he ended up taking her to a flower market.

“I want you to pick whatever and how ever many flowers you want.” chan said to her. which made elsy smile wide. “there’s so many to choose from.” the girl looked every where, seeing the many options she had.

but she ended up going with pink and white tulips, those were the ones to really catch her eye. elsy picked out ten of both colors and the lady who worked there wrapped them up beautifully with paper and a nice ribbon around it to make a bouquet for the girl. “thank you so much for these.” elsy said as she admired her flowers.

it was finally the end of their day, the two were heading back to chan’s dorm. “I really enjoyed today, chan.” elsy said as they entered his room. she was quick to take her shoes off and sat down comfortably on chan’s bed. “yeah?”

“mhm.” elsy smiled as chan plopped right in front of her. she wrapped her arms around his neck and began to kiss him passionately. chan placed a hand on elsy’s hip, gripping onto it slightly.

“I still have one more thing-“ chan said, breaking apart from the kiss. he hurried his way out the room and came back with a slice of cake on a plate. “I had felix make this, for you.” he chuckled. elsy took a hold of the plate, smiling as the plate read, happy anniversary, on it.

the more elsy looked at the plate, she couldn’t help but begin to tear up. she had felt nothing but love by chan the whole day, and she knew exactly how she felt for chan. she wasn’t scared anymore. but she almost felt guilty that it took her this long to even say what she was going to say next.

“I love you.”

elsy looked up at chan to see him staring back at her, almost taken back, but nonetheless he was smiling. “I love you, chan.” chan snapped out of his trance before going right back down on his bed to hug elsy. he hugged her tightly, elsy had placed her plate down and went to wrap her arms around him. “I’m sorry it took me this long-“

“no, no. don’t be sorry at all, els.”

elsy hugged on him tighter. feeling at ease that she could finally say it. “I love you.” she smiled.

chan chuckled. “and you know I love you.”

the two laid back on chan’s bed as they kissed. chan rested his forehead against hers, “you should stay the night.” not wanting elsy to go anytime soon.

the girl nodded her head, agreeing to him. chan gave her more comfortable clothes to sleep in. they got back in bed, kissing each other once more before drifting off the sleep while still holding each other close.

unsolicited AK localisation opinions again

Wanted to make a post explaining all the nuances that were lost in the english localisation of Swire’s Operator Record but I think I’ll just take my time because  

1) I’m well aware that nobody really cares lol

It’s just nuances after all, they didn’t do any major fuckups this time. It just sucks so bad after reading the CN and JP dialogue and then looking at the EN one and they really don’t care about the little character nuances.

I’m sure people rather I finish translating

the new short story from TBC with Capone/Gambino & Lappland (already wrote a summary and 50% through the actual dialogue) or even

Earthspirit’s 2nd Oprec (Not sure if I’ll translate the entire thing but I’ll probably at least do a summary because I really liked it) since both are still untranslated for now but

2) But again they somehow missed the context entirely like with Hoshiguma’s ‘You’re my kinda girl huh’ line in Bagpipe’s operator record (too lazy to find a link but I remember posting it on twitter when it dropped) so once again I’m irrationally angry(or disappointed) over what should have been very easily avoidable mistakes. For example: the very second line in Swire’s oprec:

Who uses 'Master’ literally????? (You see, it’s very simple; The CN script says 大人 which /can/ mean Master but man. idk. Lungmen’s setting is not a historical drama, they’re furry fantasy HK police... Even the kinda-shoddy TLers in chapter 5 knew to go with Chief Wei lol come on... Even the JP loc knew not to go ウェイ 様 I hope I am making sense here. People don’t call your work superior/boss MASTER right 💀

This is an extremely, extremely personal preference but why the hell did they use DADDY... She uses ‘爸爸’ just use Dad or Papa (do I even have to explain why this is better imo)

‘You are overreacting over 1, 2 titles’ BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!! Reading this EN loc after reading the CN and JP ones was like eating stale white bread...maybe I’ll just make it a trivia list or something, don’t get me wrong I don’t want to be like “look how this TL is so bad”, and don’t think mine is universally better, I just think it’s a pity that people who only read the EN localisation are really missing out on so much subtle character detail......

Favorite thing about them: His pure of heart, dumb of ass nature... idk! I just feel like his bombastic, friendly personality is so lovable. I was invested in him from the second I met him! He just leaves such an impact with his silly but earnest personality. I love how determined he is, how he's got these big emotions and how much he believes in Blackquill and isn't scared of him one bit even though everyone else is because he sees Blackquill's raw potential. Waaaa. It's nice. Least favorite thing about them: Beyond him tasing Blackquill, um. What they did to his character by having him get murdered off-screen before the game starts lol. I think the way they did the Phantom twist was incredibly lame and I've talked extensively about it before so I'll spare y'all and just link the posts where I've bitched about it instead. 1 | 2

I haven't thought about it in a while so my opinions may have changed a bit idk just read these KRKFNM Second post isn't mine but I did leave a fucking tag essay so there's that. I do plan on replaying Dual Destinies soon to see what I feel about the game after knowing everything I do now, though. Favorite line: idk if it's a favorite line exactly but my favorite moment with him is in Turnabout Academy where he pops out of the art room window and is like "oh it's y'all!! in justice we trust!!" and helps out Athena and Apollo while Athena excitedly greets him n Klav and Apollo are like ??? It's so cute. brOTP: Ummm him with Ema is pretty fun! I want all the detectives to be buddies, and I think that Ema would originally be so pissed off and annoyed by him, but come to appreciate his earnestness and kindness. I think once she cools off and becomes a proper forensic detective she'd mellow out and be much more open to befriending people she works with. I think they'd get along very well. I also like the headcanons where Bobby really looks up to Gumshoe, so I like their dynamic too.

I also think him and Yuty would be fun. I think Nahyuta would be annoyed by Fulbright at first like Ema, though. But Fulbright probably fills a similar environmental niche to Datz, so I think Nahyuta could deal with him eventually. I imagined this scenario (admittedly in a shippy sense-- I think Madhibright is a funny ship and kinda cute, but I don't actually ship it anymore, they're just pals) where they meet post-SOJ and thought it'd be fun. Here's that post I made. OTP: Blackbright, I guess! IDK, I don't ship as much for him as I used to, but this is still my number one. I LOVE their dynamic in DD, I love the possibilities of what a dynamic could be like post-DD had he lived, so on. They're definitely Together but it might be kind of an unlabeled grey area friendship gay thing too. I don't know KRKF but I like them a lot! It's fun. I think they're very cute. nOTP: I dunno. Who are they gonna ship him with if not Blackquill? The Phantom? I've seen cute stuff with the Phantom and him as buddies that I find interesting. I wouldn't call romantically shipping them a NOTP, it's just vaguely weird but I don't really care at all. So, none I guess. Random headcanon: He's from the South and has a Southern accent!!! I love giving characters I like Southern accents it's kind of a thing I do if I have an excuse to, lol. It's why like half the Tazmily villagers were written with accents during my Mother 3 fanfic days. I think it suits him, idk why. It's better than the goofy ass voice they gave him in DD 😭 Unpopular opinion: idk. I don't know what people think about him, aside from him being another character the AA subreddit will try to convince you just absolutely sucks. Aside from, like, I don't know, I think it's a bit off sometimes if AUs where Bobby lives that people try to put all the blame for shitty behavior towards Blackquill on the Phantom. I get why, but I think sometimes it's worth examining how his position of power could be harmful to Blackquill regardless of his pure intentions or whatever. He's a cop, after all.

I know some people are uncomfortable with the ethics of a ship with Blackquill while he's still in prison (which is why some folks will specifically only interpret Blackbright as a post-DD thing) but I'm also like. idk I think THAT'S worth examining too! By people smarter than me. I'm not doing it KRKF I just find their dynamics interesting, warts and all.

Smoking: Splatter

This movie is listed as Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and a comedy. I’ve seen this movie so many times in the past 11 years. Definitely one of those What The Fuck did I just watch? movies. Something to watch when you’re baked, or even if you just like the strange and unusual, as Lydia describes herself.

I made myself a fancy cup of coffee with whip cream and chocolate sauce in preparation for this movie. Wanted something delicious to go with the creepy.

We follow Chase Williamson, Dave, around as he is on a drug called "Soy Sauce" and trying to find out what happened to his friend John, played by Rob Mayes.

One of my favorite things about this movie is that they got Paul Giamatti to play a role. Like what are the odds he’s in this movie. I don’t even think that this movie went into theaters. I found out about it from a guy I was seeing at the time it came out and it is based off of a book he read so I’m not sure if it went straight to… you know what… l’ll just leave this hear. It isn’t important. What is, a girl just burst into several snakes and a door knob turned into a dick!

Now we have this meat man, literal man made out of different meats (whole turkey, ribs, sausage links).

There is the randomest band. They sing “Camel Holocaust” its definitely not s song like I’ve ever heard before. The beat is really good though. We are seeing this band as a background to how they got Soy Sauce.

We Meet Robert Marley, played by Tai Bennett. He does a really good job of playing someone reaaaaaally creepy. He is going about proving Dave that his abilities are real. All I have to say is high or not, a lot of what happens in this movie makes a lot of sense. Makes you think.

Love that the dog in this movie has a punny name. it’s Bark Lee 🤣

Hi! I’m Vava, I hyperfixate on manga/anime titles a lot and my love language is making fanart

A little backstory: for the past three years I’ve been posting my stuff and communicating with fandom fellas on twitter only, then I had a grand art block for almost half a year and stopped posting, and then when I started to recover I realised twitter wasn’t the same anymore and it became less convenient for me, so now I’m trying to get used to new platforms, one of which is tumblr.

Important (for some people) stuff about shipping and all that (sigh)

I’ll get straight to the point: I don’t care what other people ship. If I enjoy it i’ll leave positive feedback, if I don’t I just won’t interact with such content. Or I will but I’ll still leave positive feedback if for example I’m not into the pairing but I love the art. I hate all those internet wars around ships honestly, like just chill?? All the same rules apply to all those so called “problematic ships”: if I don’t like it, I just don’t look at it (also ahem some people love calling everything problematic so… I hope y’all understand there’s no such thing as one list of all the objectively normal and objectively unacceptable stuff to ship)

As for myself, I’d say I usually ship pretty basic stuff, sometimes rarepairs, but usually not something most people find “problematic”. But I don’t owe anything to the strangers on internet, so I hope that if you see me draw/interact with some content you don’t approve of, you’ll just do what you find comfortable for yourself doing without trying to lecture me or cause drama

My fandoms

Atm I’m reading JJBA so I mostly think (and hence draw) about it, my previous major fixation was on AoT, and before that — on danmei, mainly TGCF and MDZS. I also love Chainsaw Man, Beastars, Nana and other stuff.

Some random facts about me

I’m ENFP, aside from art I’d say my main hobbies are baking and reading manga. I love buying lots of physical prints of others’ art and hanging it on the walls of my room, but due to the shipping costs I can only afford buying merch from artists from my country now (but I’ll change that one day!!) I’m pretty certain I have ADHD but I’ve never gone to a specialist to confirm that so idk lol. Aand the last random fact if anybody’s even interested I’m a bachelor of linguistics, studying for a master’s degree right now
