Ultimately I think Nobody's Boy: Remi is better than Remy: Nobody's Girl, but they end up being different enough that they're both worth watching imo, despite being adaptations of the same book.
I definitely got the sense that the second one was aimed at a younger audience, which explains why some of the events were toned down.
