#if Luisa was real she would be my wife

Apparently, this is a monthly thing now, but we've had this idea for Celine since Encanto came out in 2021, so this has been brewing for almost three years now. Isabela and Mirabel's argument where Isa reveals she only married her husband for the family, but with Celine and Damien about Actor Mark. Here me out. Look at these lines from the fight.
Mirabel: Let's hug it out, huh?
Isabela: "Hug it out"? Luisa can't lift an empanada, Mariano's nose looks like a smashed papaya! Have you lost your mind?
Mirabel: I feel like you're upset. And you know what cures being upset? A warm embrace.
Isabela: Get out. Everything was perfect. Abuela was happy. The family was happy. You wanna be a better sister? Apologize for ruining my life. Go on. Apologize.
Mirabel: I...am...sorry...
Isabela: Hm.
Mirabel: ...That your life is so great!
Isabela: Out.
Mirabel: Wait! Fine! I apologize! I wasn't trying to ruin your life! Some of us have bigger problems, you selfish, entitled princess!
Isabela: "Selfish"? I've been stuck being perfect my whole entire life! And literally, the only thing you have ever done for me is mess things up!
Mirabel: Nothing is messed up! You can still marry that big dumb hunk!
Isabela: I never wanted to marry him! I was doing it for the family!
Damien has ZERO clue what pressure Celine would have been facing back then to be "a perfect wife," especially with a position as high as his that people would compare her to. Also, the idea that Celine married Actor solely to make Damien proud of her is dvhgfghfghgfdh Girl is looking SO hard for her brother's approval. Definitely would spark some anger or betrayal once Actor tries to hurt them. The crystal would definitely feel that. Maybe it feels the anger and yearn for Damien's approval. Maybe killing Actor with her bare fists will be the thing that finally gets her it. Honestly, the crystal being sentient and manipulating the brain to think your greatest fear is real is such a cool concept since it can bend reality and opens portals to new ones. - ⚔️
You can👉👈
You can commission me to draw that out(but I forgot to post my price rate here sorry😭😭😭)

random Mayans thoughts, episode 5x08 edition:
- Miguel, for a second I thought he visited Felipe to kill him after all. the way he walked through the house and looked at all the photos, it could have been an entirely different life for him. or maybe not that different? anyone else tried to imagine Miguel as a Mayan for a second? also, I get why Miguel would want Felipe to see the man who raised him the way he does but Felipe can't do that. Miguel in return can't accept the Reyes as blood and now he seems to be stuck between the father he forgave and the one he can't forgive but can't seem to let go either. something's got to give, he needs to find a solution for himself on how to move past his anger because none of them can change the past. then again, why isn't he as mad at his mother as he is at Felipe? it takes two to tango, doesn't it? and she kept the lie alive even after José's death. lies never protect anyone.
- Guero, finally we got some background on him and Ibarra. and it's as tragic as anyone's in this life. I do feel for him though, a lot. nice touch on wearing the Sons kuttes while getting rid of Diaz and Jinx' bodies to frame the Sons for the kills. once again, that banter Guero has going on with Downer is fucking funny even in a situation like that.
- Angel and Mav watching cartoons together was sweet in the moment but they still have no idea about Luisa, that lifechanging cloud over them is fucking sad. but he feels something is very wrong, he couldn't even stand being alone in his house and came home to pops.
- Letty went to the Broken Saints as a spy for Isaac but she had no choice, for Hope. Letty can be annoying as hell but she is nothing if not a fighter. congrats to Terry for using his brain for once and doing the right thing, letting them escape. probably won't end pretty for him but whatever. if Isaac were to drop dead right now it still wouldn't be soon enough.
-HOPE!!! man, I'm fucking shocked. there was this moment of realization of what she's going to do before she even did it and I FUCKING SCREAMED at my screen in literal desperation, full on ugly sobbing. for me personally, this might be the most painful death in the entire show, so far. if anyone deserved a happy end it was Hope, and I will never forgive them. rest in peace, girl. you were loved.
- Marcus, just when he got his act together with his family he gets pulled back into the club business. now he looks into Diaz' murder, which kinda scares the shit outta me. what is he gonna do when he finds out what really went down?
- the Grim Bastards think Diaz and Jinx were murdered by the Sons and left on their turf to pull them into the war. EZ wanted them to get "pushed over the edge" to side with the Mayans and Guero and Bishop delivered him the "how to do that" in a very convenient way. until Marcus shows up, that is. don't get fooled, the only reason one of EZ's plans worked is because it's a page right out of Nestor's playbook. this is basically the same thing the Galindo cartel did in season 1 when Nestor killed that nun and framed Los Olvidados so the cartel could present themselves as the savior to the public.
- Creeper's sister, who turns out to be Emilio's real life wife, broke my heart with her speech at the service. he genuinely loved and cared so much about those he considered family. I loved that everyone was toasting with water bottles to honor Creeper’s sobriety when they carried him out. EZ has nerves to straight up admitting he killed him in front of the whole club, and no one even realized how true that is. Kody had nerves too showing up but I feel like the look she gave EZ while walking out is starting to raise some club members' suspicions. there were quite a few confused looks towards EZ.
- Taza came back for the service, and it seems like he's staying. I don't know how I feel about that. Bishop wants to leave the past in the past, but it was Taza who started this whole mess and no one except these two knows. it's not okay.
- Gilly, yes the episode was co-written by Vincent but that doesn't make me care more about his family thing. Paul did get a well-deserved beating tho.
- I don't care a whole lot about Sofia either but if she is pregnant, I'm sure that's gonna end well for her and EZ's gonna be a great dad. /s
- Bottles, come on, your mother jokes weren't funny anymore when I was a teenager. and given you're a prospect and Guero a full patch, you kinda did ask to have your face rearranged, lmao. however, Sister Anne's message was not a booty call but Isaac taking the information Letty gave him and running with it. now the Mayans really are fucked six ways to sunday and the walls around EZ are closing in fast.

I read all your works and I love them (even on AO3). The evil Antonio was perfect. but EVIL Madrigals AU, all of them are evil except Mirabel since she didn’t get a gift and are extremely rude to her. But when the candle finally falls, none of them know what to do and Mirabel gets revenge by every single rude thing they said gets return tenfold, also the passive aggressiveness.
“Why didn’t you just get out of the way? All your are good for is just to sit there and look pretty” “What wrong? Are they talking behind your back? It doesn’t matter any more does it? All you were ever good for was being a gossip”
I call this AU ‘an eye for an eye’
Hello hello!
Before we get into it, I would like to say I'm SO HAPPY. That you love my works so much! I'm also glad you love my Evil Antonio AU! With that, let's get into it!
An Eye for an Eye
SO, Evil Madrigals. They might have been nice to the village and all, but to Mirabel? They were horrible.
Alma and Isabela were the worst. If they weren't completely acting like she didn't exist, they were coming for every single flaw she had, screaming about how useless she was. Pepa would purposefully rain on her and Felix wouldn't stop her. Julieta and Agustin kind of just dropped the ball and stopped caring about her or what was said to her, never defending her.
Dolores would talk bad about her everyday, never letting her catch a break. Camilo would change into her and make fun of her, taunting her about no gift. Luisa just straight up ignored her as well. Antonio was fine at first; but after his ceremony, he was what you would...a spoiled little brat.
For Bruno, she's on relatively good terms with him--she could see why he left and could see things from his pov.
After Casita falls, Mirabel kind of just snaps. She couldn't take it anymore. Even after trying to save that stupid miracle, they still treated her like trash.
She throws the insults right back. They don't care about her feelings, so she doesn't care about their feelings.
Mirabel went ham on them. Like full on petty mode, maybe even further than that. Here are some of the things she said to them:
Abuela: "Oh...I wonder how Abuelo Pedro would feel about the things you said? Oh wait, I forgot! He's gone..."
Julieta and Agustin: "I wonder how it feels to be such...mediocre parents. I couldn't relate of course, but on the other hand, you must know what it's like first hand!"
Pepa and Felix: "You should really consider getting your emotions under control...and you should control your wife better."
Isabela: "Why don’t you just get out of the way? I mean, after all---you were only ever good for sitting there and looking pretty anyway."
Dolores: "Awwww, what's wrong? Are they talking behind your back? It doesn’t matter any more does it? All you were ever good for was gossip.”
Luisa: "At least I know my worth and where it's at. Where's yours? Is it playing hide and seek?
Camilo: "I couldn't imagine not being able to figure out my own personality! Everyone thinks I'm so fun, unlike you, who is just such a bore."
Antonio: "Don't forget who raised you boy. You are just some spoiled little kid who can't even even take care of himself. DON’T test my patience. You wouldn't know real love if it was thrown in your face.”
They are HURT. She's observed them for the past 10 years, watching everything that happens. Waiting. They can throw insults at her all they want, but she's used to it. They use the same ones anyway. But they've never had Mirabel fight back. And since she knows exactly where to them, she knows exactly where to hit them.
The only ones who have some kind of redeeming qualities are Luisa and Antonio.
For Luisa she would be a target, not as much---but she and Mirabel do get into a screaming argument, where hateful words have been thrown and the two speak from the heart. Luisa would be the one to get herself together and learn to put herself first, and then she apologizes.
For Antonio, He would eventually ask Pepa if she really loved him and she would hesitate and he would start rethinking his choices and who he wanted to be. He only had his gift for a day, so the power hasn’t gone to his head much. But he also doesn’t know that conditional love ISN’T normal, and he would think all other families are like that. The only person who gave him unconditional love is Mirabel, so eventually he realizes his mistakes, does his best to fix them, and then apologizes.
The only way the Madrigals can talk to Mirabel is through Bruno--And even he's hesitant. After all, he knows what it's like---he's been talked about by both the village and his family. He literally heard his family make up a whole diss track about him, so he's not as easy to talk to either.
Mirabel is about to release her own anger on the Madrigals, and she's going to get an apology out of them, one way or another.
-------
I hope you like what I did here and I hope this answers your ask!
Feel free to ask more about Mamabel, Papatonio, Housebroken, Mermay or any other AU's you find on this blog!
I also take art suggestions for all aus on this blog, including Cocooned!
If you have an AU idea, send it in and I'll expand on it best I can!

Secret Santa 2022
Dear @princephilipplahm I am pleased to present you with your Secret Santa present :) I hope you like the little Christmas peaks into the lives of all your favourites! I hoper you have a brilliant Christmas and a happy New Year with lots to celebrate!
Christmas Spotlights
24th of December 2022
The snow that had glistened on the Swiss alps last weekend had been replaced by mud and rain everywhere in Germany in just two days. Even the southern Bavarians were lacking snow in the valleys. Constantin looked out of his window and dreamed along with Bing Crosbys „White Christmas“ before turning around. Seeing the beautiful tree they had put up and decorated with various ornaments - some in his family for generation – cheered him up significantly, especially the carefully wrapped presents underneath it. This was the one day of the year he was definitely spending inside, he shouldn’t be worrying about the weather. Consti grabbed his phone from the small table beside the sofa and took a picture of the tree before opening the WhatsApp group chat and typing:
„Merry Christmas boys. Hope you get lots of presents. Eat as much as you want, I am ready to beat you in Oberstdorf!“
Karl must have sent a picture at the same time, because right after he had sent his, he saw Karls daughter Luisa next to a tree and a new ski set as well as a Playmobil train in her arms. The accompanying message read „The christkind made someone happy here!“ Consti grinned and replied with a heart eyes emoji. The little girl was just too cute.
„Consti, you said you would prepare desert, I am counting on you“, his mother shouted for him. „Yes, move your ass“, his girlfriend added. „On my way!“ he laughed and decided not to let the weather dampen his mood again.
------
In Willingen Stephan Leyhe sat on his couch alone. He had decided not to tag along with his family which was visiting his aunt. They’ll see each other tomorrow anyway, so he just enjoyed having the quiet house for himself, reading the last pages of his current book. He finished it quite quickly and eyed the wrapped presents carefully, he suspected new books in at least two packets. Stephan grabbed his phone and he saw four notifications in the teams group chat. He smiled at the tree pictures from Consti, Karl, Andi and Severin, before adding his own.
„Merry Christmas boys! Keeping it quiet here.“
After sending the text, he wandered around the living room and started setting the table for dinner, beginning to regret staying behind. He loved his family and winter was the part of the year he spent the least time with them, even his loud younger cousins. So when he heard the key in the lock he perked up and smiled at the commotion in the hallway, where everyone was getting rid of wet shoes and coats. Quiet was nice and well, but family was always better.
------
In Switzerland Simon Amman was quite busy. They always decorated their tree on the 24th so after his wife and his kids had given up and decided it was boring, he stuck around. Adding another bauble here or there, rearranging something he didn’t like before until he was fully satisfied with it. They had a beautiful tree. He sat down in an armchair and his thoughts wandered around the last year. The ups and downs of his jumping, his shoes, his studies. And once again he wondered how it would keep going. Trying to block the last weekend in Engelberg – of all places – out of his mind, he didn’t even let the thought of the Four Hills tournament rise up. This was Christmas, the time he spent with his family. The kids were super excited to get their presents later on and hoped their wish list did make it to Santa. He had told them he was really sure, and he was, because he had been the one to go shopping and get some of the stuff on it. The absence of the much anticipated real rocket will be a slight disappointment, but he was sure they could cope with that. Simon hadn’t noticed his oldest daughter coming into the room until she spoke:
“You did a good job daddy! I like the sparkles!” He smiled, stood up and picked her up from the ground.:
“I like them too. Are you ready for the presents later?” She nodded her head vigorously and he laughed. After placing her back on the ground he followed her into the dining room where he looked at his family. No matter what his jumping was doing, he had fun doing it and would do it as long as it would let him, and if not, his life was definitely not over.
------
Killian didn’t really care for the break in the world cup. Yes it was Christmas, that was wonderful and everything, he just wanted to keep going. He just started in the World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt and it wasn’t working as well as he hoped. He was buzzing to be better in Oberstdorf and the following places. But as much as he wished it could go on he couldn’t change it. So he took another strip of sticky tape and finished wrapping the earrings he bought for Veronika. He was always late with preparing everything and she had given him an ultimatum 25 minutes ago. Time for presents was in 30 minutes, and if he didn’t finish wrapping til then he would have to endure the whole evening filled with Ariana Grandes Christmas songs on repeat. He could cope with that but would prefer a wider mix, so he was pleased with himself as he stood up and gathered the four presents.
“I’m done!” he shouted happily as he entered the living room, where his wife sat in a chair, reading on her tablet.
“Well I just have to threaten you with Ariana and you’ll actually do something!” she grinned. Killian laughed: “Oh no, I made myself vulnerable!”
He placed his presents under the tree and sat down on the floor next to it.
“Can I have my presents now?” And while they exchanged gifts and enjoyed their evening with a movie, Killian decided the break was kind of okay.
------
Manuel had loved the perfect Christmases at his parents’ house, shared with girlfriend and her family as well. But this was their first Christmas as their own family, the three, well four – counting their dog – of them alone. And it hadn’t quite been the perfect day so far. Henrik had woken them up at an unholy hour, just to fall asleep to System of a Down before noon. He then vomited up her milk on the living room floor, thankfully next to the carpet, but they had to keep the dog away from it and well, it had all been a bit chaotic. Not quite the definition of perfect he had dreamt of. Manu and Sylvie sat down on the couch with a glass of Coke each. They decided not to have alcohol with the baby being so little, in case of emergencies. He was lying in a crib next to them, now totally at peace and dreaming away. Manuel thought about his last results and the upcoming four hills tournament and he couldn’t wait to get started there. He was on a high again and this year would be great, he just knew it. And sitting there, with the twinkling lights around him, his family next to him, everything did feel perfect in the end. He was totally ready for his next tasks in the world cup.
------
In another part of Europe, precisely Finland, Antti was practising a German tradition someone in Titisee told him about. Praising the Christmas tree. You just have to look at a decorated tree and tell the owner “what a beautiful tree”, and you get a shot of liquor. After explaining it to his family he had praised three trees already and he was starting to feel the Salmiakki. Normally he didn’t drink at all, so he decided that was enough for him. And now, slightly drunk he sat in his chair and thought about the family around him and how much he loved each and everyone of them. Always supporting him in his dreams, no matter what he was doing. And when that concerned ski jumping a second group of people came to mind. The fans. They were amazing, constantly pushing him and their support encouraged him all the time. They would never let him down. Antti smiled. He hoped that each and every one of them had a brilliant, maybe slightly tipsy Christmas. Especially the one reading this.

could you please write headcannons of platonic!Madigal family x reader who is Bruno's girlfriend?
Brunos Girlfriend
Warnings: None, fem!reader (she/her pronouns used)
Note: This is based only on my views on how I think each member of Bruno's family would treat you! Of course there are other views <3 I'm including the husbands in their wife's headcanon!
Tumblr media
Alma:
She was quite surprised when Bruno suddenly spent more time outside after rebuilding the casita, than in the last 50 years combined
So one evening, when Bruno disappeared after dinner, she commissioned Dolores to eavesdrop on him from the house
When she found out he was seeing you, she let Dolores find out your address and invited you to dinner in the Casita
She was overjoyed that even the last of her triplets finally had someone
After she found out how nice and decent you were, you were practically her favorite
She even gave Bruno, when he confessed to her that he wanted to propose to you, the ring Pedro gave her when he proposed back then
Pepa:
Pepa was sceptical at first, not used to her brother getting any attention from someone besides her and Julieta
So she sent Antonio to spy on you, as people tend to show their real intents when they're around children
Antonio eventually forgot the 'mission', and started playing hide and seek with you
After Antonio came home that evening, telling her everything, she slowly started to get warm with you
She even invited you to go for a walk with her through the corn fields once, completely forgetting that you're not immune to her rain clouds, which resulted in you being drenched
After that she apologized at least three times a day, until you reassured her that it's her job to let it rain, for the plants sake
From then on she praised you whenever she could, it was even rumored that she had never said a bad word about you
Félix of course was of the same opinion, for the sake of his wife alone
If you made his brother-in-law happy, then his wife was happy too, and so was he
Julieta:
She only ever wanted the best for her little Brunito since she could think, being there for him when he needed someone
So to say she was glad to have you to take care of him in his lows would describe her view very accurately
Even her husband was glad that his brother-in-law finally had someone to watch over him that wasn't his wife, because that meant more arepas for him (hehe)
Every time you wanted something special to eat, she always somehow served it to you at the next meal
Isabela:
Isabela Madrigal wasn't someone to quickly trust someone
You, with your bright and polite attitude, were the complete opposite of her tío
So she completely ignored you most of the time
You even tried buying her some cacti and tulips, but she just didn't seem to like you
It got better with time, she sometimes did picnics with you, but she still sometimes apologizes for being a little cold towards you
Dolores:
OH GIRL-
Dolores Madrigal adored you
She was kinda fascinated by the woman who won her tíos heart
Loves to gossip with you about the rest of the family, kind of like the New York Times for you, always up to date due to her gift
Had to stuff her mouth with arepas everytime you greeted her, after she got wind of Bruno's plans of proposing
You were her go-to person when she needed to rant about something that was upsetting her, as she had the feeling that you were the most understanding out of everyone else
Luisa:
You didn't have much to do with her at the beginning
Only sometimes, when she wanted your opinion on how to beautify a bridge in an aesthetic way
You mainly talked to her when you were over, discussing the next project she had to finish in the Encanto
It remained that way, because of that you somewhat became her assistant when it came to giving something the final touch
Camilo:
Camilo Madrigal was joyed
He finally saw you as his buddy to do mischief around the town
Only sometimes tho, when you weren't needed by other relatives
He loved to play board games with you
For being 15 years old, he definitely knew how to let a woman lose honorless in every game existing
Pepa scolded him for not letting you win even once, but you just brushed it off
Who wouldn't let a kid win a stupid board game?
Mirabel:
She looked up to the two of you in terms of relationship, took you as an example of how differences attract each other
Definitely thanked you multiple times for not judging her tío, and making him feel loved and safe
Loving the way you always saw the best in people
So expect self-made presents from her as a thanks
Mostly it would be a dress she made herself, being excited to see your reaction to her efforts
You somehow always ended up crying, being completely surprised of how much niceness and love this family had towards you
Antonio:
Ah yes, the boy scared you multiple times
He didn't understand the complexity of people holding back when meeting someone new, so he thought if he gave you presents, you would love him instantly
Waking up with a monkey beside you, jumpscaring you into running out of your guest room screaming, wasn't exactly what you imagined on your first night sleeping over at the Madrigal's
His mother profusely apologized to you, explaining to him with a dangerous looking cloud above her head, how he couldn't just send his animal friends into your room without knowing if you had a phobia of them, especially on your first night over
He then ran to his room crying, thinking that he scared you away forever
It took a lot of reassuring on your side, and many hugs, to convince him that you were just scared a few seconds, not as hard to hate him
He then asked you with a red nose from prior crying, if you wanted to see his room and his other friends
You nodded of course, not wanting to make the 5 year old sad again
From then on, every time he saw you being free from any chores, he took your hand and excitedly led you to the Casita to show you another new friend of his
He was adorable, and you were glad everytime Pepa trusted you with babysitting him
You saw it as a good training, if Bruno and you had kids yourself one day
~
Why do I somehow always bring tulips in every post? Well well, I hope you'll like this <3

My brain decided to run along with your AU but to hurt me more along the way.
So Bruno loves his kids more than anything but he felt as if the village wouldn't take his children so he asks his sisters to help him by claiming them as theirs (because someone can not really show much with one child, but twins ? No way anyone can hide twins) so Peppa claims Camilo as hers and tell everyone he is a few weeks older than Mirabel but since he was born early they weren't sure he would survive and didn't tell anyone until they were sure, that's why he looks younger than he is and Julieta takes in Mirabel.
They call him Tio Bruno and don't question why he seems to be spending a lot of time with them.
Bruno's heart breaks as his wonderful children grow up thinking they are cousins but sometimes it breaks more when the two decides that they are twins.
When Mirabel doesn't gets a gift he wonders if it's his fault, would she have gotten a gift if the ceremony was for the both of them at the same time, as twins should ?
Camilo is often confused as why shifting to be Mirabel is so easy for him when sometimes it's harder to be his papá.
Oof, I've thought of this turnout too and let me break me break your heart even further.
Pepa and Julieta would obviously agree in a heartbeat to keep their brother happy after the death of his wife, but it would also be hard to them to lie to their niece and nephew. Of course they love them as their own, but sometimes it hurts to call one of them mijo/mija because all they can think about is their friend Luciana, their actual mother. Luciana was close to Pepa and Julieta, so having to take in her children makes the two sisters sad, but they agree because she's gone.
Uncle or Father, Bruno is the designated babysitter of all the grandkid Madrigals. He stays home the longest and really quick to react to make sure a kid doesn't go tumbling into a wall. So often times while Pepa and Julieta go into town, he stays behind to watch over his 'sobrino y sobrino' which ouch. They just grew used to having their tío always watch over them, because it's normal. Their tío also watches over Dolores, Isabela, and Luisa! They don't understand his longing, sad stares.
When Camilo was younger his hair was darker, so he could very easily 'pass' as Mirabel's twin. They would often change clothes to see how long it would take the adults to realize they switched. They don't really understand why their mothers smiles get strained when they call them twins. To Camilo and Mirabel, despite being 'three months apart' they just are twins. They grew up in the nursery together and have this sort of connection they can't explain. When Camilo had his gift ceremony, he refused to sleep in his room for a month. Always sneaking into the Nursery to sleep next to his prima.
Dolores and Isabela are around six to seven when the twins are born, so when they suddenly get new siblings their confused because they knew Luciana was pregnant, but they go along with it for their famila's sake. Eventually as time passes, they forget Luciana and Bruno are their actual parents and see Camilo and Mirabel as younger siblings. Luisa never knew cause she's around two to three when their born. Isabela grows up thinking the rift between her and Mirabel is because she doesn't have a gift, and not because she's not actually her sister. Dolores just grows up wondering how her brother is so similar to her tío and prima.
When Mirabel's ceremony goes wrong, the village just assumes it went wrong because of her and not because she's related to Bruno or she didn't have a real ceremony with her brother. The Madrigal adults know better and are freaking out over it. Bruno blames himself of course, and breaks his vow to not look into the twins future and then boom, wall Era time baybe. Whenever We Dont Talk About Bruno is mentioned, Pepa and Julieta have the decency to not say much bad things about Bruno to the twins. They might not know he's their father but they aren't going to paint him badly for them.
Camilo and Mirabel would still be close as canon rolls around. They are a team, and best friends. Whenever Camilo feels unsure or upset he finds himself shifting into Mirabel to calm down because she's the easiest person to shift into. They are practically attached at the hip and do most of the canon events together instead. "Why is tío's room just stairs and sand..." "Do we have to climb all of them?!"
Things would be so difficult for that canon reunion because Pepa and Julieta would urge Bruno to tell the twins the truth about their parentage. Would absolutely be awkward, upsetting and painful for everyone involved.

Would you be willing to write anything for Agustin and Julieta? They have so little works too
I have been WAITING for someone to fucking ask for these two? Let's GO??
Augustín loved his wife. She was his everything. Honestly, she was EVERYONE'S everything. A mother, a sister, a caregiver, a cook. This woman was strong like that. But she carried so much, as Alma demanded she be perfect. Being the only gift without any real 'consequences' of her siblings, as well as being the eldest, there was so much pressure on her shoulders. And he could see it. He stood in the hallway, empty plate in his hands, having just cleaned up after Camilo's lunch. She was getting ready to make dinner, but she was slowing down.
Her list on the fridge wasn't even halfway done, so much more to do. Everyone being either starving or having company over. He put the dishes in the sink, and winced. Jeez, even the dishes were stockpiling. He turned to her, offering a small smile.
"Do you need help, mí vida?"
"No, I don't want you to cut yourself, Augustín. I'm fine, thank you."
He hated being so accident prone. It was annoying when he was a teenager, but as a husband and a father, it made him feel...well. Not good enough. Alma definitely brought it up on the occasions where they fought, and it still got to him. But while he struggled in terms of poise, he didn't struggle in the love for his wife, and his want to contribute.
"I see. I'll be right back."
He left, and went straight to the nursery. It was rare, but all three of his girls were spending time together, making each other flower crowns. They turned to look at Augustín, and immediately smiled at him. God, what did he do to be blessed with such kind, lovely girls?
"Noche, mis ángeles. How are we doing?"
"Good, padre. Come here!"
He obeyed Isa, and she placed a flower crown on his head, right before she smooched his cheek. Augustín chuckled, immediately pulling all three of his girls into a hug.
"My girls. Have I ever told you three how proud I am, being your father?"
"Only every day, Pa."
He smooched Mirabel as she playfully rolled her eyes. He hunched over a bit, making it clear that what he said needed to be kept on the hush hush.
"Now, I hate to bother your sister time, really. But I need you girls to help me with something."
Luisa, his caring and strong girl, was immediately interested.
"Whatever we can do, dad."
"That's my girl. Now, your Mami is VERY tired, but she won't let me help her in the kitchen. Could the three of you please help her finish dinner and do the dishes? And not tell her I asked you to?"
Isa looked at her other sisters.
"I do the cooking?"
"Me and Mira got the dishes?"
"Deal, I hate dishes."
They looked at their dad, and promptly nodded.
"So proud of all of you. Hold on, besos antes de irte!"
One smooch for Isabella, one smooch for Mirabel, and of course, one big smooch for his Luisa. They got out of the room, and Augustín watched as they made their way to the kitchen. He hid out of sight as she watched his daughters insist, rather profusely, that they'd take over. Hell, they wouldn't leave her alone until she left her apron. He watched as she walked out of the kitchen, almost bewildered.
"Julieta? You alright?"
"Yes. I just...they just offered to finish my work for me. It feels...weird."
"We have just great daughters, that's all there is to it. How about we get you a bath?"
Julieta tried not to look too excited by it, but he knew that glimmer in her eye. He helped walk her upstairs, before starting the bath for her. He made sure it had PLENTY of bubbles, and plenty of lit candles around the tub. Really nice set up, honestly. She seemed hesitant, as if there was work that she was forgetting. But as soon as her feet hit the water, be watched her sink into absolute bliss. She was so caught up in her ecstasy, she didn't notice that he left, briefly, to make her a cup of hot chocolate. He wasn't exactly graceful in the kitchen, but the one thing he COULD do, was make hot chocolate. Better than Alma's, if he could boast.
"Oh Augustín…"
She looked at him as if he was a silly man, and he absolutely was. Silly in his love and affection for her. He was careful as he handed her the cup, and after putting a towel on his lap as he sat down next to the tub, and gestured for her to put her feet in his lap.
"Ah, but I'm not done YET, mi vida. Come on. I know you've been on your feet all day."
She hesitated for just a second, before she relented, sinking a bit into the bath.
"You didn't have to do all of this, you know."
"Well geez, wish you told me that before- now look where we're at."
She snickered at his 'totally serious' face, and he took a moment to admire her. Hair down, face just lost in a wave of content as he massaged her poor feet. He wished he could do this for her every single minute of every day.
"Augustín?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you. I know I'm...hard to take care of sometimes. I know I should be working instead of-"
This is why Augustín didn't LOVE Alma. She made such a beautiful woman feel like she was a burden to everyone else, when in reality, she was a rock. It was why he scowled as foul as he did as he interjected.
"You do a lot of chores everyday. This does not mean YOU are a chore. I know it's hard to think otherwise. But caring for you is an honor, not an obligation to me."
She looked perplexed by his words, only to softly smile. She didn't fully believe it, but it made her smile, and that was good enough for him. He continued to massage her feet, with as much care and love as a man could have for his wife, before he saw her cup was empty. He really should get her out of there before the water got cold. He grabbed a towel from a rack, and opened it for her. She looked hesitant to get out, but she relented, getting out of the tub, and letting herself be wrapped up. He put a towel over her head as well, and kissed her forehead.
"Do you want me to carry you back to our room?"
"Augustín, that's sweet. But you do remember the last time you did that."
Their wedding night. He thought it'd be romantic. Up until he smacked his head on the door frame and sent them both to the floor. He opened his mouth to object, before shrugging.
"What if I told you I WON'T hit my head again?"
She sighed, and he knew she probably didn't believe him. But, she was ever supportive, and opened her arms to him.
"Fine. But please don't fall. Or drop me."
He nodded, before leaning down, and sweeping her off her feet. She rested her head on her shoulder, and he swore he fell in love all over again. He was EXTRA careful as he walked out with her, to their room. Julieta's room was always the most calming place. Rows and rows of herbs, bookshelves lined with cookbooks, and plenty of extra bits of furniture, in case anyone wanted to stay in her room to relax. But her bed was the absolute best part of the room. It was so soft, it'd wipe away all your days' woes In a heartbeat. He plopped her down carefully, gesturing wildly towards her.
"See? I did it! I'm capable when I-"
He stopped when his toe suddenly hit against the legs of the bed. He tried not to keel over or show that he was hurt, but of course she saw it immediately. She sat up and immediately put her hand on his shoulder, worried.
"Augustín? Are you hurt? Do you need me to get you an arepa-"
His nose met hers. For a moment, he just looked into her eyes. So soft, so caring, so full of love and the need to give everything in her pretty little heart.
"Julieta. I don't want you to worry about me. I want, just for tonight, to care for you."
She sighed, as if his words made her heart turn to goo.
"It's...been a while, Augustín."
"I know, and I hate that. Not just for me! But because everytime I try to pamper you, you look so exhausted and worn out with all your work. But you have no work now. Please let me prove myself as your husband."
He meant what he said. He was there for her, always, but sometimes it felt like he wasn't deserving of her, of the wonderful life she had given him. She pushed some hair out of his face, before chuckling.
"Alright. I trust you, Augustín. Always have, always will."
There were no sweeter words. He gently cupped her face in his hands, and kissed her nose. Her forehead, her chin, her cheek, her lips. He kissed her until he crawled over her, getting her on her back. Her hair was loose, still wet, sprawled over the bed. And as he took a minute to admire her, he realized just how much he loved it. Her hair was always beautiful, but it looked so carefree, so relaxed. He kissed the nape of her neck, and let his hands land on her thighs, before slowly reaching up, tugging at the towel till it gave. He felt young again, seeing her nude form. She was full and voluptuous ('thicc' he believed was a term people used) in all the right places. Thick legs, curvy hips, and. Well. Huge breasts. He was no pervert, but he'd be lying if he didn't say he LOVED her full chest.
"You're so beautiful. I remember when we first did this. Do you?"
She tried (and failed) to cover her blush with her hand.
"Oh I remember. You were so surprised you fell off the bed. I thought it was so cute, I just kissed you right on that floor."
"Can you blame me? You're wonderful. You have so much love inside, it radiates outward."
Her hand roamed up his chest, and it warmed his heart, seeing how much she missed touching him.
"You act as if you aren't a looker yourself, dulce esposo mío~"
The way her nimble finger un did one of his buttons-it made him want to just swoon on the spot. They shared another kiss, and another, and another, and he adored how she melted into it, how she slowly undid one button after another, till that pesky vest was off of him, and tossed over to her nightstand. She was about to work on his white dress shirt, when he sat up, shaking his head.
"No no, please. I insist. I can put on a show without the piano, you know~"
She laughed. It was such a genuine laugh that made her cheeks red in embarrassment.
"Aye Augustín-usted tonto~"
He took pride in her words, purely for the smile that followed suit. He took off his white undershirt, one button at a time, humming just the most annoying tune. She loved it, he could see it from how she bit into her bottom lip. It was goofy, it was loving, it was him. He threw his shirt to the side with his vest, and he watched her eyes as she studied him. He didn't have a huge muscular frame, but he certainly wasn't a string bean. He was a medium build, with his chest hair trimmed to perfection. Félix didn't have to worry about some prepping, he looked good as natural as he came, but Augustín knew he looked best with a little bit of 'trimming' so to speak. She seemed to agree, given how her fingers roamed up his frame. Once she stopped at his chest, he held her hand, and kissed it. He loved her hands, they were possibly his most favorite thing about her.
"You're wonderful. You're so beautiful, and you're my very best friend. And I'd be honored if I could put my face between your legs."
Julieta tried to be perfect like her mother wanted. But every once and a while, she'd drop her facade, and snort oh so loudly. She gave him a light push in embarrassment, only making him smile too.
"Augustín! Tu sucio hombre!"
She liked some dirty humor every once and a while, especially while she was tense. He gave her that eyebrow wiggle that she totally loved, even giving his body a little shimmy for emphasis.
"I'm not hearing any objections, pretty lady~"
She looked away from him, bashfully, before nodding.
"I do have one. Well, two, technically~"
He knew exactly what she meant. He gave a light bow of his head.
"Lo siento- how could I forget?"
He kissed her jaw, then slowly down her neck. She let him go slow, and even giggled a bit as his mustache tickled her fair skin. He cupped both of her breasts in his hands, keeping his touch firm yet gentle as he kneaded them like dough. He scooted down a bit to make things easier, before he wrapped his mouth around one of the nipples, lightly sucking and moaning against the flesh. It felt SO good to hear her moans again. They were so soft, yet genuine. He let himself pull away with an audible 'pop', before moving to the other one. It made him harden, the way her nipples got so perky with just a little bit of contact from his tongue.
"Así Augustín...just like that."
Her fingers slowly grazed through his hair, so sweetly and lovingly. He could cum just from the kindness in her pretty brown eyes, honestly. He pulled away from her nipple, only to let his kisses roam all around her breasts. Tender kisses, light suckling, all done slowly, just how she liked it. Watching her slowly unravel under his touches, it was more beautiful than any art he's ever seen. He didn't know how long he spent in between her perfect breasts, just that by the time he fully pulled away, wiping the drool from his mouth, his poor wife was practically shaking for him. There were a lot of things in life that made him feel unexceptional.
She wasn't one of them.
He scooted down further, careful as he pulled her legs apart, and let his fingers softly run through her folds. She was already wet, showing just how long it had been.
"I'm going to take such good care of you. I promised that on our wedding day, and I promise that now."
Them making love was always that, love. Everything was always gentle, more talking and kissing than anything. Very vanilla, but out of all their years of marriage, neither minded one bit. He gave her stomach a smooch, before finally pressing his lips against her wet pussy. He let his tongue taste her, as if this was their first time. Softly holding both the thighs by his head, he melted into her, softly groaning as her juices melted against his tongue. And she loved it. Perhaps a bit too much, given how she held his head, and almost pushed him into her. It was a bit rough for him, but honestly, he didn't mind at all. Afterall, this WAS for her.
"Augustín, Mas por favor. Quiero correrme para ti~"
She didn't have to tell him twice. He didn't hesitate to grab her butt, and dig his fingers into her flesh. So much to hold, to grab, to squeeze, to love. Digging his fingers into her, he pushed her further into his face, letting himself get even deeper. He even slowly nuzzling his head back and forth, nose wiping against her clit and almost making her jump.
"F-fuck Augustín!"
It HAD been a while since such a sensitive spot had been touched. He decided to fix that. His lips wrapped around her clit, sucking on it as if it was a piece of candy. As if that wasn't enough, he used one of his hands to slide two fingers into her wetness, going right for that g-spot. He always knew where to go, knew where to touch. Her back arched, her body jiggled as her body was riddled with much needed attention.
She really wanted this. Really needed this. He could see her on her face; the way she bit her bottom lip, the way her eyes grew hazy and loving, and heat rose to her cheeks. Then she came. She spilled into his hand as her gaze went to the ceiling, and he didn't at all stop his fingers. Not until she started to whimper from so much stimulation all at once. He pulled away from her, her juices dripping from his face, making him wipe his mouth. He reached for her hand, and looked at her in her eyes as he kissed the back of it.
"Just...little faster…please!"
"I love you. Every part of you. I'm so glad I could make you ha-"
She tore his hand away to reach up and squish his face, and he was a bit taken aback when she pulled him closer to her face. She looked desperate, as if she was begging for a drink of water.
"Augustín. I need you inside of me. Please."
He was proud of himself for not fainting. He was married to her for such a long time, but not once did the idea of her wanting him NOT make him nervous. He nodded quickly, mentally yelling at himself to not mess anything up as he took off the rest of his clothes (save for his socks, he liked being comfy), and rubbed his head slowly against her clit. She was a thick woman, and he was a decently built man. There was an attraction there that neither could deny, especially not when she admired his frame.
"You tell me if anything hurts, okay? I want only to make you as happy as you make me."
Not once had he hurt her during something like this, but caring for your loved one was sexy as hell. She nodded quickly, and as soon as he pushed himself inside her tight, wet walls, her little hands gripped on the sheets below in desperation.
"You're so good to me, Augustín. You feel...so good. But you don't have to be so gentle."
He studied her face, as if to be sure, and he spotted no uncertainty. He was never NOT gentle with her, so this was. New. But, again, this was for her, not for him. He gave her another kiss, then another, before he started to pick up the pace. The bed creaked loudly under his movements, and honestly, he liked that. He liked hearing that sound accompanied with the rapid, wet noises of his lengthy cock fucking her how she wished.
"I love you. So much. Your eyes, your body, your hair, your smile, brings me joy every...day."
He was a passionate man, so bouts of love like this were common, but she felt so damn good, it was distracting. Her moans were forced into his mouth as she kissed him again, letting her tongue graze against his, and doing so hungrily.
"A-and I see how hard you try, Augustín, I really do. You're such a sweet, s-sexy husband, and I-god dammit you're going to make your wife c-cum!"
He thought HE was a mess. She was panting something fierce, absolutely adoring how he was starting to pound into her. It was definitely faster, rougher, and she was clearly loving every second of it. He whispered against her lips, as sweetly as he could against such a wanting, open mouth like hers.
"Cum for me. I haven't felt you so tight around your husband's cock in so long. Cum for me, and say my name like the most wonderful wife you are."
"Augustín, w-wait…"
He stopped the second he heard her. He tried not to panic as he held her face in worry, having to swallow before talking to her.
"Did I hurt you? Are you alright? I-"
"I want another baby."
He blinked at her words. He lightly shook his head, as if snapping him out of a trance.
"Did you. Say what I think you said?"
Julieta nodded. Her fingers roamed over his skin lustfully, stopping only when she reached his ears, slowly and carefully massaging them. It was so tender of an act, he loved it, and it only made him throb inside of her.
"Yes. I...I want another baby. Our daughters are already so sweet and kind and mature. I want another one. Please, Augustín,"
As if trying to plead to him, she peeled her hands off of him, in order for one to play with one of her tits, and the other to rub at her pussy in small, slow circles.
"Put another baby in me. Por favor. Cum inside me. Please."
You'd have to be a monster to say no to such begging. He grabbed both of her ankles, and forced her legs up. Way up, as in, feet way up in the air, with her lower body just sitting there, begging to fill her up. And that's exactly what he did. He squatted over her, and started to promptly fuck her again. He could practically feel himself inside her womb, and it excited him like you have no idea.
"You're going to get your baby. I'm going to stuff you full, and I'm going to love your belly get so big with our love."
Talk like that? Drove her crazy. She was crying out louder than before, and he hated that he couldn't resist wrapping his arms around her in an embrace, and swallowing them up with his many, many kisses. That didn't stop her from crying out though, talented woman his wife was.
"I'm SO ready for our baby, Augustín! I w-want it so badly! You make such a wonderful papi!"
She was so desperate, her legs wrapped around him, as if she was worried about him leaving. He felt his cock throb inside of her, and all this baby talk was pushing him to the age far more quickly than usual.
"I can't FUCKING wait for you to get pregnant again. You're going to have that sexy glow to you, your tits are going to be so swollen-I'm going to fuck you as much as I have to. Do you hear me?"
Oh the loud, wet slapping, was only getting wetter. Was only making him pant and sweat further. She nodded quickly, starting to whimper now.
"Yes!! Please! Give it to me! Y-you just need to give me your cum, please!"
Augustín hated to admit what finally got him there. Picturing his pregnant wife, tits absolutely huge and swollen with milk. It was what helped him finish, and pump cum right inside of her. She thought he was done when he was done spilling his seed. She was even about to push him off, tell him he did a good job, but he wasn't done. He continued to fuck her, wet cock aching as he shoved the thick cum in and out of her wet cunt.
"I need to make sure it stays in. I'm going to keep fucking you till you cum. Be a good Mami and cum for me. Give it to me. Give me another baby as beautiful as you."
He didn't know how long he had been pounding her. Just that when she finished, she cried out his name loudly, without shame, and clenched around him, as if expecting to milk him for more cum.
And just like that, they were done. Both were covered in sweat, both were flushed, exhausted. Only, SHE was the one that looked beautiful here. So satisfied, so HAPPY. He pulled out of her, slowly, and she giggled, reaching over to rub at her cum soaked folds.
"You hoping for a boy, or another girl?"
"Doesn't matter to me. Just as long as Mami is happy~"
He kissed her cheek over and over again, and she sighed in pure bliss.
"Augustín?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you. I love you. You're the sweetest man I've ever known. I'm honored to be your wife."
"And I'm honored to be your husband. Now, how about dinner?"
She groaned a bit, running her fingers through her hair.
"I am actually hungry...but I don't want to get up."
"I was thinking about dinner IN bed."
She put her hand over her chest, and gasped.
"Augustín! ¿Desde cuándo eras tan romántico?~"
He chuckled, kissing her cute little nose.
"I know, I know, very sexy. You want to know how I can make it even better?"
"Hmm?"
"What about DESSERT in bed?"
She tried not to laugh, and his heart fluttered as she ate him up with her eyes.
"Careful Augustín, it might not be just dinner I'll sink my teeth into ~"
The very plentiful kisses and inappropriate touches almost kept him from leaving. But somehow, he made it downstairs, WITH his pants on. His daughters were just wrapping it up it seemed, starting to give everyone a plate. Isa obviously knew what was going on, given that he walked in without a shirt, but said nothing.
"Is mom coming down to eat?"
"No, she said she feels weak, so I'm taking her dinner. Looks good, I'm proud of you, my Bella-boo."
He kissed the top of Isabella's head, before starting to fill up plates of food for them both. Sopa de patacón (Isabella's favorite), beef empanadas (Luisa's favorite), and of course, Arroz atollado (Mirabel's favorite). He piled two plates, catching Mirabel's attention.
"Pa? Should you be carrying all that? Especially with your shirt off for...why is your shirt-"
Luisa butted in the nick of time, grateful that Augustín didn't have to come up with a pretty terrible lie.
"Dad, let me help you carry that, please."
"I'm fine, Lulu, really. Proud of you three, helping your Mami. Goodnight, I'll see you all bright and early!"
He didn't notice the worried looks on their faces as he practically sauntered away, and back to their room. He lifted the plates to show his wife the second he walked into the room. She looked impressed, and absolutely charmed.
"Aye Augustín...you're too much~"
"Nothing is too good for my wife! Now sit back and-!"
He tripped on the last step, and food just went FLYING. Thankfully nothing landed on the bed, giving her room to quickly sit up in worry.
"Augustín?! Estás bien?!"
"I'm good! I'm good!"
He lifted his face up from the tray of food he landed in, and licked his lips.
"Mmm- Isa is getting REALLY good in the kitchen! That pound cake is just wonderful! She takes after you, you know!"
So he wasn't graceful. He didn't have to be. For when he looked at her face, he knew.
He fell right into her heart.

Wow wasn't expecting ppl to actually like my modern au meets parallel world idea since it seemed kinda off the walls but to the 60 ppl who liked it as of rn, this part 2 for you. Pt 1 can be found here
Headcanons:
- The Madrigals upon re-entering Casita after it was rebuilt and Mirabel's 'door' was made were enveloped in a bright light. The next thing they know they are in the middle of a road, narrowly dodging a motorbike.
- And holy fuck, they are freaking out. Where are they? What is this place? And why are there so many weird vehicles speeding around?
- Luisa actually wondering aloud why there are no donkeys.
- Antonio wondering why everyone is wearing such strange clothes though some older folks can be seen wearing the same stuff as his papi.
- Augustine trying his best not to get rammed down because if he thought bees were bad try going up against a car.
- In the distance they see a brightly coloured house on a hill that looks like Casita so Abuela suggest they go there because that's the only thing familiar in this strange land.
- They are 2000% going to get stares because who the heck dresses like them nowadays unless it's a festival.
- And that is exactly what a random person who walks up to them says. "Hey nice clothes guys, enjoy whatever party you're going to."
- Everyone looking down at their clothes for a hot second because it's just their normal day to day clothes.
- The males of the family definitely had their eyes covered by their wife/sister/cousin at some point when they see a woman wearing a short dress walk by.
- Alma would be aghast and think where tf they have been sent to. Probably would ask the woman whether her mother knows how she dresses. The random woman however would be nice and happily explain that yes her mother is aware of what she is wearing.
- Like it's not even that bad of a dress, it's a U-boat neckline with a floral design, it's just that the skirt length is above the knees.
- Isabela would have her eyes shining widely like "a whole new world !!! A dazzling place I never knew" when she see's people with cool hair dyed in every colour of the rainbow.
- Pepa would be storming slightly cause she's anxious but peeps just think it's a cool holographic thing. High key someone would come up to her and ask how she got the cloud to look so clear and real in the sunlight. Like it's better than 4000p, what program this she use. And Pepa would just be so confused like what is p?
- Felix would be delighted that others find his wife just as incredible as he does.
- Camilo would just be so astonished by all the different clothing and would want to just change and try them out. Anyone who sees him would just think he was one of those fancy magicians who can change their clothes real fast.
- Poor Dolores would have her ears covered the whole time cause there is so much loud sounds everywhere that it's giving her a slight headache. Luckily as they get closer to the Casita kind of lookalike the sounds drown out a bit.
- Bruno probably has had visions of a distant future that looks a bit like the place they're in so he's not too freaked out but he is anxious since he doesn't have his rat friends with him. Similarly, Antonio doesn't have his jaguar buddy with him, which is lucky because someone would have definitely called the cops or animal control on them if they saw a crap ton of rats + a jaguar roaming the streets.
- Mirabel at this point is just vibe-ing cause like what can you do at this point. She is low key trying her best to stay calm with a smile but her grip on Antonio's hand says otherwise.
- Julieta on the other hand is just concerned about her family and is actively trying to keep Augustine alive in this dangerous world.
- When they get to Casita they are greeted with a large gate that lets them in as they approach. They don't know that the gate can be opened via facial recognition technology and only when they try to speak to Casita to they then realise that Casita isn't alive. So obviously they are kinda stressed out.
(I'll do another part 3 later, discussing the interior of Casita and what happens next)

I believe there is only one way to stop Pepa and Bruno but it would traumatize them till rest of their life :) opening the door of a couple who sneaked out just last night THAT'S A GAMBLE they were lucky Julieta and agustin were tired. For some unknown reason for a second I thought Julieta is going to ask agustin to make Bruno stumble then when he comes to her to heal him she would give him something that tastes like hell :)
It was a risky move, and all roads while I was writing seemed like they were going in more of that risqué direction but I simply didn’t feel like adding that in the midst of my crack fic, idk I don’t think I can mesh those two vibes together too well.
But of course, there’s always more Julieta could do...
Grounded Julieta Pt. 4
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Part 5
As the couple got ready for the day, Julieta began to quickly formulate a plan in her head, wondering what her next move could be to not only bother her siblings, but to also make the two of them finally give up. Agustín turned to his wife, seeing that knowing look in her eye, and couldn’t help but question what she was thinking of next.
“Okay, you know I’d never condone violence...”
“Juli where is this going?”
“I’m a healer, I’d never want to hurt someone...”
“I’m growing more and more concerned here.”
“But if one of you’re bouts of clumsiness just happened to happen near Pepa and Bruno today, and either you fell right into them, or knocked something into them, well, it may be helpful to my plan here.
“Which is?”
“You’ll see?”
“You’re lucky I love you,” he says after considering it for a moment. With his luck anyways, it’s not impossible he’d end up crashing into one of them without even intending to do so.
Julieta began to get to work pulling out ingredients for food to be made today, “Can you send the girls up here? I want to talk to them a bit before they bring the food into town.”
He nods his head, and she turns to get to work, only a few minutes passing by before all of her daughters are knocking and entering her room.
“Oh, good! I’m gonna need you to make just a couple of arepas for me real quick, and if your tía or tío happen to come by the stand today, those are the only ones you can give them,” Julieta told them, while the three girls stood there in shock, surprised that they were now being pulled into this.
Luisa is the first to speak, “Mamá, I’m not so sure about this? What if they really need help?”
Julieta considers this, “If they’re dying then fine, if not give them the faulty food and send them my way when they realize.”
Isabela is next, “I don’t know if I want to get in the middle of this, I don’t want to face Tía Pepa’s wrath.”
Then Mirabel, as she approaches her mother’s bedroom kitchen and begins to get to work, “Speak for yourself, me and Camilo have a bet going on who’s going to crack first so you know I want Mamá to win.”
Isabela considers this, and decides that helping her hermana defeat her primo is well worth it, and now outnumbered, Luisa gives in and helps the other two, much to the delight of their mother. It’s not long before the girls have one separate platter full of arepas, completely untouched by their mother’s hands, that they can bring along with them to town with all the other food.
—————————————————
Pepa had been an easier target than expected, but only in the sense that Agustín had a plan that he never had to use because fate ran it’s own course instead. As the man approached the woman who was currently watering the crops, she hadn’t heard him at all. When he finally got close to her and said her name, she jumped in fright, and large bolt of lightening came cracking down. For once, Agustín was lucky when it came to accidents, because Pepa’s unplanned bolt struck herself instead of the man in front of her, a burn in a fractal pattern of scars trailing down her arm from her back that would be enough to make anyone wince at the sight of it.
“Great! Nice job scaring me like that! I haven’t struck myself in years. What do you want Agustín?” Pepa asks, gray clouds still hanging firmly over her head.
“I, uh, was just doing the rounds checking in on everyone, seeing if they needed anything. I think Isa and Mira are in the town square now, you should probably get something for that,” he tells her, and she’s off, moving carefully so as to not cause more pain to the burns on her arm.
So he begins his search for Bruno.
He knows he’s not at home, having seen the man leave out the doors of Casita with everyone else that morning. He searches around the different spots in the Encanto that he thinks he could be, but to no avail. Finally he comes across Antonio and chooses to ask him if he’s seen Bruno.
“I haven’t, but the rats probably know! Give me one moment,” the boy tells him, and after communicating with some birds who then fly off, a little group of rats approaches Antonio only minutes later, “Uh-huh. Yup. Okay, got it!”
Agustín looks at him expectantly.
“They say he’s writing the next episode of his rat telenovela by the river just on the outskirts of town.”
The man chooses not to question the rat telelnovela part, and thanks the young boy, turning around and heading to find Bruno. When he finds him, he’s sitting under a tree, and Agustín chooses to call out for him. Bruno himself looks up surprised, but nevertheless gets up to greet him. The two are almost close to each other, and that’s when Agustín “trips” over another tree’s root, crashing himself into the other man. Agustín is mostly fine, only bruised and scratched up, as he’s taken enough falls in his life to know he seems to be made out of sturdier stuff than the average person.
Bruno, on the other hand, moans, lifting his arm to reveal his wrist that he landed on wrong. It’s twisted uncomfortably and bruising fast, and Agustín feels bad because that is definitely worse than anything he’d intended to do to the guy.
“Here, let me help you up, we should go get something for you to eat for that,” he tells Bruno, and soon the two are off to the town square. As soon as they get there, they head straight for where Julieta’s table would be. The lines that used to go on and on are no longer a thing ever since people started to give the Madrigals a bit of a break, including not getting healed unless it was truly bad, and so not many people were around. As they approach, they find only one person at the table, Pepa, currently arguing with all three of her sobrinas as clouds grew darker overhead.
“What do you mean you can’t give me anything else? Your Mamá put you up to this didn’t she? Didn’t she?!” The woman was yelling at the girls.
“Tía Pepa, we gave you one of her arepas already, and then another, perhaps you should go see her yourself then?” Mirabel tells her, trying very hard to hold back a smirk, when they finally notice the two men the table.
“Oh Papi, Tío Bruno, did you get hurt as well?” Luisa asks the both of them, while Isabela goes to hand each of them a piece of food. Pepa doesn’t fail to notice that Bruno receives an arepa like hers, while Agustín is handed one of the buñuelos, watching while Agustín’s bruises fade away, but her brother is still very much hurting.
“What are the three of you up to? What has your mother offered you in exchange for helping her?” Bruno questions.
“See! See, it’s me and Bruno who aren’t getting healed! Agustín, you’re wife has corrupted all three of your children!!” she yells, as the three girls put on their best innocent faces.
Isabela speaks up, “We don’t know what’s wrong tía? Like Mirabel said, perhaps you both should go see Mamá directly?”
Pepa huffs, but grabs Bruno by his good arm and drags him all the way back to Casita. The other four watch them stomp off as Agustín looks at his daughters, “So what exactly did your mother have you do?”
“Oh we made those arepas, not Mamá,” Luisa tells him.
“We should’ve asked for something in exchange for this, honestly,” Mirabel adds.
“I don’t know, I’m amused, especially since I undercooked the dough as well,” Isabela states last, as everyone looks at hers with their eyebrows raised, “What? It won’t kill them.”
————————————————
Julieta smirks as there’s a loud banging noise at her door, her plan finally coming together as she opens the door and her siblings practically fall into her room. Her eyes widen at the state of their injuries, and she wonders just what Agustín had to do to make those happen.
“Something wrong?” She questions while raising an eyebrow, knowing very well what’s going on.
“Oh I think you know exactly what’s wrong!” Pepa yells as her dark clouds finally begin to let rain pour down, clearly unbothered by the fact that she’s getting her sister’s whole room wet.
“And using your children? Your own children?? Against us?! I trusted them!” Bruno adds on, “You’ve got us here now, so can you please just give us something to heal these injuries. They hurt Juli.”
“Well, I would,” she starts, “But Pepa seems to have rained on the last of everything I had made today, entirely ruining them. I will, however, make you a deal.”
They looked at her, wary but urging her to go on,
“I’ll make you something fresh right now, if, and only if, you end this ‘grounded’ nonsense. Otherwise you can have fun watching those injuries heal themselves. It’s a good thing it’s not your dominant hand, huh Bruno? Could take 6 to 8 weeks to recover. And those burns Pepa! The scars might look cool, y’know, once the healed skin stops being so sensitive after however many months it’ll take.”
Pepa’s fuming now, her own sister using their pain to blackmail them, and she storms out of the room yelling, “Mamá! Julieta won’t heal either me or Bruno!”
A voice comes down from the window above, “If you haven’t noticed, Pepita, I’m staying out of this one.”
Pepa grumbles, but retreats back into her sister’s room, “You can’t prevent us from eating your food for that long.”
“Wanna bet?”
Before Pepa could respond, Bruno butts in, thinking beyond this moment, “Nope! No we don’t want to! We’re done with the grounded thing please heal us.”
Julieta smiles, gestures for them to sit down on her bed and wait while she gets to work. Within in minutes, she’s got two more arepas ready and hands them to the both of them, letting them finally heal themselves.
“Well, I’m sorry I had to pull the ‘no healing’ card, but you left me no choice,” she tells them while sitting down in between the two of them, pulling them down with her into the wet blankets and sheets from Pepa’s rain. The younger two grimace at the feeling, trying to get up but being held back by Julieta’s own strength, “I’m glad we’re done with this whole thing, but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep messing with you!”
They fight back, vowing their own revenge at a later date, but for the time being the two give up and sink back into their sister’s embrace.

okay but now that I’ve seen Encanto it just begs for an Untamed mash-up, doesn’t it? brought to you by the conversation I had with my wife today
Me: Multi-generational stuff is hard with Untamed because all the adults suck. Although, it might work in this case if we had Lan Sizhui as Mirabel. Admittedly I do like the idea of WWX hiding in the walls lmao.
Wife: LSZ: "We have to get you out of here."
Me: Jiang Cheng as Pepa hahahaha
Wife: Yes! Lots of grumbling and lightning.
Me: And then Jiang Yanli would be Julieta  Heals people with her cooking. Except now it doesn't make sense that Lan Sizhui is one of the kids. Also is Yu Ziyuan abuela? Yikes on bikes!
Wife: LQR?
Me: Admittedly, Lan Qiren would be a perfect abuela. But I've decided I like the idea of YZY as abuela. it gives the whole story a so much darker, nastier edge. Especially if we consider that WWX wasn't her child and she resented having to take care of him, doesn't understand why he got a gift like her two 'real' children, and then his gift turned out to be weird and ominous.
Wife: Oooooh, all those rumors that he's JFMs son. Maybe the miracle isn't about her at all. Maybe it's about him.
Me: That would make her SO MAD
Me, sidebar: I mean, okay, I get that it's a Disney movie. But can we talk about the fact that Bruno was so afraid of what abuela would do to Mirabel that he *lived in the walls for ten years*
Wife, sidebar: Yeah . . . though I also saw a compelling argument that Bruno was neurodivergent.
Me, sidebar: Which is fair. but it's also the same old narrative of "it doesn't matter if your parent/parental figure was abusive if a) they loved you, b) they had trauma of their own, c) they were doing what they thought was best for you". I just ..... really hate that narrative and would like to rewrite the story with an ending of "it doesn't matter that she was doing what she thought was best! fuck that bitch!"
Wife, sidebar: Fair enough!
Me: So is Wei Wuxian LSZ’s dad? Because that makes it a lot harder to believe that he would go live in the walls. .......also not sure who his mother would be in that theoretical arrangement. How weird would it be for him to be Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng's kid? I mean, he is a Wen. I've done weirder things.
Wife: Not that weird. But where on earth did his sweet personality come from!
Me: Self-preservation, LOL
Wife: So if Jiang Yanli is Julieta, who is Jin Ling?
Me: Torn between Isabela and Luisa. Leaning towards the former’s personality with the latter’s power. It doesn’t have to align perfectly, I don’t think. I can't figure out how LWJ would fit into all of this, though,
Wife: Hmmmm. I mean, I can easily see him falling in love with WWX when he still showed his face, but how does that help the story?
Me: Yeah. Like, if he was in love with WWX, they got married, et c .... then WWX disappeared and everyone was like "YZY finally got rid of him", how did he not murder YZY lol. I guess there's the option that LWJ went to look for WWX outside the encanto, thinking that he left altogether
Wife: Just shuffle him out of the story.
Me: But it feels so weird to separate LSZ from his parents like that! lol
Wife: Also if they are already married does LWJ really think WWX would leave without him? Also also do you think YZY would be pissed that WWX picked someone he couldn't have kids with? No new generation of miracles?
Me: You know, you might think that, but I think she'd rather not have his kids "tainting" things. His miracle was a mistake, let's not perpetuate it.
Wife: Fair. I can also sort of see JC and WQ having a bunch of kids and looking at their sleep being interrupted by another one on the way and looking at WWX and LWJ’s sad, sad baby-less faces and being like 'do you guys want this one?'
Me: Awwww, I love that idea!!!! Though again, makes it more difficult to believe that WWX would go hide in the walls. Maybe, though, if LWJ was there to take care of LSZ.
Wife: Yeah, I mean, WWX is messed up enough to believe he is doing everyone a favor.
Me: okay but can you imagine when LWJ finds out that WWX has just been *living in the walls of the house*
Wife: Oh jeeezus christ.
Me: LWJ: we could have just LIVED IN TOWN
Wife: Pfffffft
Me: Meanwhile we’ve got Jingyi as Dolores. He can be Chengqing’s kid too because whatever, canon is an illusion and if something contradicts canon, no it doesn’t. I’m the captain now. Lan Jingyi can be raised by JC/WQ, because then LSZ's lack of gift is *obviously* because they let WWX raise him and WWX has corrupted him. Which is another great reason why WWX would nope out. Maybe if he leaves the kid alone, his door will show up again.
Wife: Awww.
Me: Jingyi: if Wei-jiujiu wants to live in the walls, that's *his* business
Wife: Lan Wangji: we still could have just LIVED IN TOWN
Me: Jingyi absolutely hears everything and uses it to stir shit up lol
Wife: Absolutely.
Me: Anyway get wrecked Yu Ziyuan

I dunno if anyone’s pointed it out yet but you know what I honestly do really love about Encanto? The representation of women having children later in life.
Like Pepa and Julieta would have been twenty-nine when Delores and Isabela were born, which isn’t old or anything but most women I know who are really dedicated to having kids tend to try to go for it earlier in their twenties, and those are these two’s first kids! Luisa would have been when Julieta was thirty-one, both Pepa and Julieta would have been thirty-five for Mirabel and Camilo, and Pepa had Antonio when she was forty-five!
I dunno, I just think in real life women are pressured to have kids very young if they want them, especially with the whole “ticking clock” concept, so it’s nice to see a movie where it’s very clear that the women waited until they were really ready for kids before jumping in. Especially because I do know couples who’ve waited, my godfather was nearly fifty and his wife in her early forties when their daughter was born, it’s not out of the ordinary! And honestly when women in movies are shown having kids when they’re older it’s always Pointed Out a lot, like it’s weird for a woman in her late thirties or forties to have a kid. In Encanto it’s just normal, and that’s awesome!

So I see why there are so many videos on encanto. It's good and it's super deep.
The other day was watching a video where a woman was talking about how societally a woman's worth is often determined by her acts of service excetera such as how she interacts with other people or how she helps other people or how she contributes to society so she's a good woman if she's a good mother if she's good wife if she's as good provider excetera and then you know how she is with other people. But then what's left for the people who don't help everybody gave me for women who don't want kids or excetera excetera.
So in this instance the sisters the three sisters are really kind of top down archetypes of these three basic aspects of female worth and acts of service.
You have Isabella the oldest who's the pretty perfect one whose gift sure is flowers but it could also be crops growing and stuff like that instead her grandmother is only concerned about her marrying the most handsome man in the village to further the generational magic of the family.
And then you have Luisa who is the strong one and who literally does everything for everybody else the lifting and the carrying is moving and you know everything her grandmother asked her to do or everything anybody around her ask her to do of course. And her worry is that what is she even worth, she even says it what is she even worth if she doesn't have her strength. It's interesting to me everybody focuses on the pressure part of the song and skip song over the two holes verses that talk about how feels like she would be worthless if she was useless if she didn't have her strength she feels like she would be a loser.
And then of course you got Mirabel who doesn't have any outward magic and doesn't have any to call or anything in the household is funny to me as well she's a 15 year old living in what they call the nursery so she doesn't have a room of her own she 15 years old sharing a room with a 5 year old. But as much as she loves her family and as much as she pays attention and doesn't feel like she doesn't notice that her oldest sister is extremely unhappy and she doesn't notice that as much as her grandmother is trying to keep the family and the town together she's never really doing anything for herself I guess it's not until the candle. and the haous show her that they're falling apart she really sees what she needs to see. Now she is 15 so I can't except to much from her. Lol.
I love that the hearing cousin is encouraged to easedrop and gossip. Hehheh. I like that she is also like dude slow down to only just learned my name. Hehehh
So I really like the movie. And I have to say that the toxic and dysfunctional family Dynamics in this movie are so not Latino only but damn dude people really be blind to all the crap they cause by not having an open mind and real conversation.

Okau but taking that nobody talked or especially gossiped about Bruno around Alma, as she's town leader and her family has magic i do not blame them, I wonder if his sisters knew? I know Pepa is really the only sister to have a "bad experience" with Bruno's visions that was more of a inconvenience seemed worse just coz of her powers, I know there's fanart of them protecting their baby brother, but I wonder if they knew in actuality. Their community values them highly, for Bruno to be ostrized surely somebody would've noticed out of the only madrigals at the time
while i love protective sisters julieta and pepa in fanon bc it is top tier, ik y’all are here for some analysis so this is what i’ve got >.<
i fully believe julieta was also unaware of the things people said about bruno, and my belief is fueled by her distinct absence in WDTAB. keep in mind here that both luisa and agustin are seen during the musical number (though neither of them are shown to be singing along with everyone), even alma is seen she is just shown to be outside of the house. julieta, tho? she is the only madrigal to not be shown on screen throughout the entire song. this feels rather pointed to me, especially because so far in the movie julieta has been the only madrigal shown to not adhere to the "we don't talk about bruno" rule ("my brother bruno lost his way in this family").
now let me switch real quick over to agustin. agustin can be seen in the kitchen setting the table with the rest of the family, however he is quite clearly not singing along with everyone else in the room. to me this represents how agustin is aware of the things that everyone said about bruno, but simply did not listen to or spread any of it around. except, of course, to his wife, when her brother disappears without a trace leaving her heartbroken and confused. i imagine he would have explained how the public did not think very highly of bruno, and how perhaps he had seen something he believed would make everyone hate him for real. like i do really believe on some intrinsic level agustin knew and understood bruno well enough to figure it out, and julieta would see the logic and simply accept it. do her best to ensure the same doesn't happen to her daughter.
which brings me, finally, to pepa. pepa, of course, is among the very first people in the movie to start the bruno slander. clearly, we cannot claim that pepa was ignorant to the way bruno was viewed and treated. according to the movie she was an active participant in the behavior! so i would like to bring your attention to this post. with that analysis in mind, i believe that pepa’s actions and resentful attitude towards her brother are driven, simply, by hurt. she does not believe that bruno is a bad, evil person, but he did leave them all without even saying goodbye. no one, and i mean no one, enjoys feeling abandoned. and we are shown repeatedly throughout the film that pepa is particularly volatile woman, emotionally, so of course she wouldn’t just swallow her pain and deal with it quietly on her own. she would be angry, she would lash out, she would tell herself things that she doesn’t even really believe - like he ruined her wedding day on purpose - in order to justify the ugly, hateful things she is feeling inside because he left. and felix, in trying to be supportive to her in this painful time, would tell her that “you’re right, mi vida, it was all his fault” even if he doesn’t really believe it either because it’s easier. it’s easier to regurgitate the same tired opinions of the people in town that they had never listened to before than to ask why he is gone - easier for them to pretend that bruno is as bad as everyone says than to accept that they didn’t do enough to make him feel otherwise.

Occupation: Alchemist, researcher.
Fun facts 🫀🥀
Vlad’s rapier (all the R-C have one) is called ‘Beheaded Voivode’. He can set the blade aflame through Alchemy.
Louisa was exiled from Altazor at the age of 20, then lived in Venterre and Zadith, were she finished her medical studies. She moved to Balkovia for what was supposed to be a 6 months programme and scientific coven, but then she met Vlad and she ended up staying. She was exiled for opposing the dictatorial regime existing in the country.
While Louisa knows alchemy —which she learnt to become a better doctor— she doesn’t consider herself a magic user. She, however, can lend her life force to Vlad if the need arises. This creates a unity of energy between them which Vlad can channel into more powerful alchemy. This is because they’re beneficiaries of The Lovers.
Thematically both of them are about breaking bad parenting cycles. Vlad’s parents were notoriously irresponsible, neglectful and despondent parents, with Matilda being even cruel and purposefully hurtful. Louisa’s were extremely unaccommodating, strict to the point of traumatising and extremely hypocritical. Neither of them wished to have children until they realised they could do it together.
Vlad and Louisa did not marry until the war in Balkovia ended. It began months before Anatole was born, and it ended when he was around the ages of three/four.
Vlad calls Anatole ‘Lilu’ and ‘Lily’, it comes from little.
Vlad’s monocle is functional. It’s made of alchemy altered glass and it’s the design of a group of fellow alchemists and Vlad himself. He has very little vision on his left eye due to almost blowing up a room trying to stabilise fireroot. He was successful, making him the first person to ever stabilise the compound through a stable, long-lasting method. In the future, Anatole uses his father’s alchemic breakthrough to provide public lighting to the streets of Vesuvia. This method is currently used in Balkovia for public buildings, since it requires very little money to run.
Both of them are quick tempered, but understanding with people they love. It’s if they don’t like you the problem.
Originally, Vlad thought Louisa was an alchemist because she was describing the process of lightening up a Molotov.
Louisa knows how to use firearms. She learnt in Altazor, when she began getting involved in the fight and protest against the dictatorship in it. She still has good aim, but is out of practice and prefers it that way. She prefers to focus in ways to help those affected.
Her best medicine is ER medicine and field medicine. She is trained to be a war doctor and was a volunteer when time permitted in the Balkovian war.
While Louisa’s relationship with her parents eased with time, it is not good. She prefers to keep them at a distance.
Originally, Aureliana and Joaquín opposed Louisa marrying Vlad. They even tried to make her go back to Altazor or at least Venterre when the war began, but Louisa told them she would rather take out her own femur and eat it. She, clearly, harboured a lot of resentment for them, as they were key to her exile.
Louisa’s favourite Radošević outside of her husband was Elysian. It was the first time she had a positive role model whose politics were the same as hers, and didn’t punish her for it.
Vlad’s biggest personality trait is ‘I Love My Wife, I Love My Son’.
Louisa was one of the few doctors to treat poor people in Vesuvia who caught the Plague.
Vlad can only draw objects (for invention designs) and buildings.
Both of them read a lot. It’s not weird to find them having reading dates.
Vlad has a series of Alchemic symbols tattooed around his wrist. He uses them as magic on-the-go.
When raising Anatole, they privileged communication, autonomy, self-expression and support more than anything else. Even through his argumentative teenager phase.
Speaking of their son, Anatole takes after Louisa in terms of politics, moral compass, and determination to see things done and to do what is right.
Vlad’s politics can be summarised in “If you’re told not to tamper with the shelf, and you do, and it falls on your head, then that was your own damn fault”.
Whenever Vlad began brooding because he was “sure” Louisa didn’t like him, his cats bit him.
Louisa housed and protected her sister Paris when she ran away from Altazor looking for her, upon discovering the real reason why her sister was sent away. Paris showed up out of the blue at her doorstep. Their other sister, Alma, helped her orchestrate the escape.
Louisa gets ready in 30 minutes, tops. Vlad in 2 hours.
While Valerius acts like he can’t stand her, he actually loves and respects Louisa a ridiculous amount.
Vlad is more emotional than Louisa but has more trouble showing it. He’s gotten better with time.
Vlad sails. Louisa always makes fun of him for being insanely competitive, but joke’s on her because she’s just as bad. As a true Aquarius sun and a Sag moon, she hates being told what to do. Whenever she gets like that, Vlad just looks at her with heart eyes.
Vlad is closest to Violeta Radošević, Milenko’s mother, out of his generation of cousins.
Except for formal occasions, Louisa doesn’t wear shirts or dresses that go past her ankles. Prefers them to the calf, as she needs to be able to move freely (she moves a lot).
It’s very likely Louisa is the one with undiagnosed ADHD out of the two of them, hence where Nana gets it from. She’s never checked.
Louisa loves dancing (so does Vlad but he hates admitting it), and she taught Anatole most of what she knew. As she grew up, she was constantly in dancing lessons, inspired by her own mother’s love of ballroom dancing. It’s one of the few things she’s fully grateful about.
This is more of a language fun fact than anything else, but Alzor and Nopali are extremely similar languages, and are almost virtually interchangeable.
They both stand by ‘one child is enough’ but end up adopting all of Anatole’s friends on accident, sometimes, even his partners a little, depending on the verse we are in.
Finally, out of the Arcana canon characters, Vlad would get along the best with Nadia, Salim and Aisha. Louisa would get along the best with Nadia, Julian and Portia.

Part Two of my Encanto thoughts. Part One.
Spoilers under the cut.
- Seriously, where the heck did the horse came from?
- Dancing donkeys.
- Psh, how did I only just notice the giant Columbia sign in the beginning that is also in the flag in my latest rewatch?
- Why are all the songs so good and catchy?
- I’m still surprised that the movie never gave Mirabel a gift. It works. But still surprised.
- I hope they built her own room and when Casita came back, it stayed. Mirabel deserves her own room. She doesn’t need a gift for that.
- Also still surprised Abuela apologised.
- None of the songs are flop which is good. But RIP the parents of the children I looked after, I can at least have a decent break. Whenever my brain decides to forget the lyrics and tune. Also I’m pretty sure a couple of them now want to learn Spanish so “they can be like Mirabel”. And at least one wants to lift weights and have “a running floor like Luisa”.
- Still have no idea what time period this is set in.
- Telenovelas is the Spanish word for Soap Operas, right? That’s definitely a soap opera plot that has absolutely happened before.
- Brain cannot forget the tunes.
- This movie really said it’s going to see how many times it can make everyone ugly cry and see if one of those ugly cry will be for a house. It has succeeded.
- This move also really said it was going to make its most popular song a diss track.
- Again, the horse? WHERE DID IT CAME FROM?
- Mirabel had an excellent point when she asked her mum where the cut on her hand came from if she was just imagining the cracks. Like Julieta really just glossed over that, huh?
- But the horse. It appeared from nowhere.
- “And nothing could ever be broken that we can’t fix...together.” - Mirabel. *ugly cries*
- “I asked my Pedro for help. Mirabel. He sent me you.” - Abuela. OKAY MOVIE, IT’S FINE. I WANTED TO KEEP UGLY CRYING ANYWAY!
- It’s impressive that Bruno can even ride a horse after ten years in the walls. 2/10 dismount though.
- Also when Casita chucks everyone but Mirabel out, Luisa catches (or holds) Abuela so she doesn’t hit the ground.
- I would not be surprised if Donkey Guy and Fish Lady were married. 0/10 animal care, the both of them. Well, maybe 1/10 with Donkey Guy since “got out again” implies there is a fence.
- And I’m sorry I held on too tonight. Just so afraid I’d lose you too - that’s okay movie. I didn’t need my heart in one piece.
- Excellent example of a movie with antagonist but no villain.
- But seriously the real magic is how they animated multiple types of curly hair. Not just one type but multiple types.
- I will never got over Félix singing “what a joyous day”. And his little “yes” at Abuela while trying to wave the snow-cloud away from Pepa with his hat.
- Agustín putting the butterfly upside down in All of You.
- Really cannot get over how many different textures of curly hair they animated.
- My Spanish is very limited (introduce myself and ask for coffee is pretty much the only thing I’m somewhat confident in) but I’m pretty sure the first credit song is a happy song about Columbia.
- Abuela telling 5-year-old Mirabel about Pedro’s death, there’s no one else in the flashback. When she’s telling 15-year-old Mirabel, there are other people.
- They also just animated different ways for everyone to pick up the coffee during The Family Madrigal huh?
- Mirabel’s face when the little girl says that “maybe your gift is being in denial”. XD
- Julieta really got the best gift objectively speaking. Just out of everyone.
- Pepa and Bruno got the worst. I am not objective enough to decide which is the more negative one.
- Dolores is up there with the worst as well. IDK, maybe it’s the fact I actually do have SPD so I can’t see it being the actual worst. But it’s up there.
- Would still want to talk to animals though.
- The house lowering it’s decorations when Mirabel said it was going to decorate itself.
-  Agustín in that scene is like ‘nailed it’ *looks at wife who has concerned face* *he puts on frowny face to match wife*
- bwahaah “clean your rooms! I don’t care how big they are” - Abuela in the background while Mirabel’s decorating.
- That is a terrifying long way to expect a five-year-old to walk alone.
- I know nothing about music beyond the songs I enjoy. But Waiting on a Miracle seems like it’s a different um pace/beat/step(?) (not the word but closest I can think) than every other song. Like I know it’s sad but it’s not the only sad song in here. But there’s something that seems like completely different? IDK.
- Can’t keep down the unspoken invisible pain - ouch.
- Did the cracks disappear because Abuela believed Mirabel about them?
- The house really did a ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ huh?
- Pepa took one sip of her coffee in the morning and her cloud disappeared. Mood.
- Julieta really was the only one to carry her glass of her juice, huh. Luisa carried everyone else’s. And aww, when Pepa gets a cloud because Mirabel be rude and taking her seat, the cloud disappears when Félix touched her arm.
- There’s one donkey that looks at Luisa like “girl, you okay?” when she shouts at Mirabel.
- Okay I just realised Encanto is a disney movie and now I’m kinda disappointed that they didn’t have their Hercules be the one when Luisa sings Was Hercules ever like “yo I don’t want to fight cerberus?” Missed opportunity there.
- I’m pretty sure I’m worthless if I can’t be of service  :’(
- Instrument-playing donkeys. They just get out to spend time with Luisa, don’t they?
- Mirabel just hugging Luisa after Surface Pressure. Also one of the donkey’s eyes is following the movement. Also Luisa says “when you saw the cracks”. She’s the only one that says when and to Mirabel.
- “You think there would be another way to get so high ‘cause we’re magic, but no magical how many stairs fit in here!” - Mirabel.
- “Bruno, your room is the worst!” - Mirabel. Yes, I know that’s part of the above but the way she growl-screams it, it deserves it’s own spot.
- Mirabel getting to the top of the magical-how-many-stairs-fit-in-here and there be a giant chasm. Also the animation when she sees it. Mood.
- Also love that the context for the start of We don’t talk about Bruno is revealed to be a poorly-timed bad joke at the worst-possible person to make the joke too.
- Still love Félix singing what a joyous day!
- Camilo and Félix are the only ones that are having the time of their life in the dance around Mirabel as she puts the vision pieces back together.
- Casita shuffling the dresser behind Mirabel. A+ for effort, Casita.
- There is nothing funny about “I’m Jorge. I make the spackle.” but everytime, I descend into giggles.
- How those two rats never noticed the jaguar until Antonio told jaguar not to eat them, I will never know. Just like I will never know where that horse came from. I choose to believe one of the rats was proposing.
- “I was thinking of my daughter,” -  Agustín “I would bury a body if my daughters did it” Madrigal. Also the emphasis and gestures he does.
- Seriously. The real magic is THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CURLY HAIR ANIMATED!
- And I am grateful I’m not a parent not that I’m a parent in the first place to any of the kids who have decided that Encanto is their favourite movie. It’s hard enough to get rid of the songs in your head without having little kids singing/screaming them.
Sparkly stars (or whatever imaginary reward you prefer) for everyone who read up to here.

Angst
"You gonna have to tell my brother sooner or later mamita." she could hear the words coming out of his mouth but it didn't mean she had to listen to them. If Angel wanted to continue running behind Luisa and a baby that wasn't his then so be it. If he wanted to ignore her and play house with his precious  “Adelita” then he could go right ahead.
"Escolho mais tarde Ez, now can we talk about something else?"
"No Sol, when else are we gonna talk about this huh? When that kid's sixteen and wondering who the fuck its dad is? You seen what that shit did to Coco ma. Você realmente quer esconder isso dele?"
“Sim, as long as I have to Ezekiel because I refuse to let your hard headed brother hurt my baby the way I let him continuously hurt me.” She says placing the last glass on the shelf behind her. The others had been called to some urgent meeting and Ez was left on cleanup duty with her.
Ez had no idea what had transpired between Solana and Angel but he knew it had to be something serious if she was showing up at his pop’s house at 3am with tears streaming down her face. He didn’t question her, just let her cry it out against his chest before she finally stopped and told him about her pregnancy.
He had no idea how Angel was gonna handle another baby mama but he knew that Solana meant more to Angel than he let on. They all grew up together, from an early age Angel was always protective of her - he beat her first boyfriend to a pulp for trying to force himself on her- just as he was protective of Ez. La sangre es la sangre so Ez knew that all she had to do was talk to Angel and sort shit out because deep down Ez knew that fatherhood was something Angel wanted to experience.
Wiping her hands on the towel she was using, she steps around the bar throwing it on the counter. “ I promised Letty I’d make tres leches so I gotta make a run to the grocery store real quick.” She places a kiss on his cheek and throws a quick “I’ll see you later Ez” over her shoulder as she exits the clubhouse.
Truth be told Sol had already made Letty tres leches before she came into work but she knew that if she didn’t leave she’d get Ez involved in her and Angel’s drama and she refused to come between the both of them. ____
“He’s beginning to have doubts Miguel.”
“Then make him have faith again linda. You know as well as I do that in order to keep the Mayans on our side we need him and his brother. Emily can handle Ezekiel now make me proud and handle Angel.” Miguel leaves with a kiss to her cheek.
The power that Miguel Galindo had provided had no doubt gone to her head especially now that she was carrying his baby. She held it over Emily’s head that it didn’t matter that she was his wife, Miguel would seek comfort in her because they were of the same world - a world he felt like Emily could never fully accept or understand.
Adelita smirks as Miguel gives her exactly what she wants. It wasn’t so much as Angel having doubts about her baby being his but the person instilling those doubts in him. Solana had come back into Angel’s life a couple months before his brother did but from what Angel had told her they had never lost touch with each other. Adelita didn’t think that his bond with the woman would interfere with her plans but she really should’ve known better given the way she’s seen Angel look at her or the way he lost his shit when Potter had her kidnapped. Though she had what she wanted, Adelita was jealous of the woman. No matter how much she preached that her and Angel were just business partners she had to admit that a small part of her liked him.
She wasn’t blind and apparently neither was Solana if Angel was calling Adelita by her name the last time she went down on him. The solution was simple really, scare Solana off and Angel would be hers.
“Nestor,” she calls out to the head of security.
“Si,”
“Esos conejos que te pedí que pusieras en  lugar antes, están listos?” She questions.
“They are ready and awaiting orders.” He reports back to her and she smiles.
“Make it hurt but don’t kill her.”
Nestor nods and pulls out his phone to give the orders. Adelita knew she was playing with fire, especially if Angel found out but in that moment she didn’t care.  ____
They waited until her car was parked before they surrounded her. Letty who was sitting on the front porch waiting for her like she usually does instantly becomes alert and grabs the screwdriver she had hidden under the chair.
Solana exits the car and they start crowding and pushing at her. Letty moves to make her way down the steps but Solana’s voice telling her to get in the house stops her in her tracks. Solana shakes her head when she sees Letty make another move towards her.
She was unarmed and outnumbered. They were clearly there for her so she had to ensure that their attention didn’t shift from her to Letty. She’d never forgive herself if something had happened to the young girl.
Letty reluctantly turns and heads back up the steps and goes into the house, opening the front window and immediately calling Ez because she knew the others were busy after speaking to her dad a few minutes before.
“Get to Sol’s place now!” Is all she says before hanging up.
“So Adelita can’t do her dirty work herself?” Solana knew she wasn’t going to get out of this unscathed but the only thing on her mind right now was to protect Letty and her unborn child and if that entailed letting them have the upper hand then so be it.
One of them behind her pushes her forward and grabs both her hands pulling them behind her back. As soon as she’s somewhat restrained the others start beating on her. A right hook to her jaw has her spitting blood in the face of the person in front of her which earns her a slap to the face. The person holding her hands lets go and grabs onto her hair pulling her head back on their shoulder.
“Adelita sends her apologies that she can’t be here to do this herself.” The man whispers before flinging her body to the ground.
“Adelita can kiss my ass,” she smiles, knees pulled up to her chest and arms holding them close as kicks start raining in from every direction. The last thing she feels is a kick to the back of her head before she passes out. ____
“What the fuck do you mean we can’t see her?” Angel shouts at the doctor. It had been five days since she’d been admitted to the hospital, five hours since she woke up and Angel was losing his mind.
The only person that had been allowed inside her room within that time was Letty who had since been taken back to the clubhouse by Coco.
“She’s asleep Angel, her body needs all the rest it can get and she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want to see you right now.”
It stings. Angel knows that what had happened to the woman he loved was because of his foolish behavior. Their last conversation on repeat in his head. All the spiteful shit he’d said to her simply because he refused to believe that Adelita’s baby was Galindo’s and not his. He’d been so excited at the idea of fatherhood that he had bypassed all the facts and hurt the one person who was always down for him no matter how fucked up his decisions were or the consequences.
He couldn’t lose her. He’d do whatever it takes to earn her forgiveness. Angel looks to Ez who’s shaking his head at him silently letting him know that whatever he was about to do was a shit idea but Angel has and always will be a stubborn man.
It takes all but ten minutes after the doctor left for Angel to bounce into the hospital room leaving Ez on look out. Solana stands facing the window on the phone with who he assumed was Bishop unaware to his presence.
“Tio I’m fine… the baby’s fine as well…stop worrying so much and I love you too.”
“Baby! What baby?” Angel thinks he might faint.
“Tio I gotta go, Angel’s here… I can’t promise you he won’t leave with some cuts.” She places the phone on the bedside table and just turns back towards the window.
“I thought I made it clear that I didn’t want to see you Ignacio?” Her arms cross over her chest and he knows he’s threading a thin line.
“Past tense and you know I’ve never been able to follow rules properly mi sol.” Comes his smart ass reply as he makes his way towards her. Arms wrapped around her waist, palms splayed on her stomach he rests his head on her shoulder.
“Am I gonna get to be a dad for real this time?” His voice is soft as he asks the question. Angel didn’t want to get excited only to be disappointed again.
Three months wasn’t much but he told himself he had no right to be mad if she was seeing someone else or even carrying their child. He was the one that fucked up what they had because he kept neglecting what was right in front of him.
“Who said anything about your baby Angel? It could be Oscar’s or Rio’s and even if my baby was yours, do you honestly think I would tell you so that you could hurt my baby the way I let you continuously hurt me?” She hates the way her voice cracks.
Solana tried to get Angel’s arms from around her but he wouldn’t budge. He pulls her flush against his chest and refused to let go.
“I can do this, sin ti.” She sniffles furiously wiping the tears that fell.
“I know you can but I don’t want you to and I won’t let you go through this on your own. I know I’m a fuck up and I know that I don’t deserve you pero yo no puedo estar sin ti. No puedo hacer esto sin ti. I’m far from fucking perfect but I’m trying my best to be the man that you deserve. Perdóname por favor.”
“Angel…”
“Te amo.” her breath hitches and she freezes. Both had said I love you to each other but it had always been in the form of “te quiero”.
Angel doesn’t expect the slap he collects once she pries his hands of her and turns to face him nor does he expect the tears that are freely streaming down her face.
“Fifteen fucking years Ignacio and you suddenly love me as more than a friend or family? You think telling me you love me is gonna change this shit? I get that we didn’t have a title but I held you down no matter what since we were fucking children, been in love with yo stupid ass since I was fifteen and you think those two words are gonna change the fact that you left me when I needed you the most? When all I needed was for you to hold me and tell me that we were gonna be fine?”
Angel makes a move towards her but stops when she takes a step back.
“You don’t get to have me here like some fucking doormat that you can walk all over when you’re done playing house with Luísa. I’m here because you’ve got your head so far up her ass that I don’t know who you are anymore. You wanna play house with her and Galindo’s baby go right ahead but leave me and my baby the fuck alone. I’m done…you and me Angel, we were never really anything but we’re done. You made sure of that.” She turns away from him and it’s like his body is rooted to the spot in which he stands. He wants to go to her, to tell her that he confronted Adelita but he couldn’t move.
Opening his mouth to speak he’s cut off by Ez, “ The nurses are doing their rounds mano, we gotta go.”
“Sol…”
“Leave Angel. Don’t come back.”
Ez grabs his brother by his upper arm and drags him out of the room and down the hall until they’re both standing outside.
“You okay Angel?”
“I fucked up my family before we even had a chance to be one. I gotta fix this Ez but she wants nothing to do with me.” He doesn’t like the way he’s feeling but thinks that it’s just maybe what he deserves to be feeling.
“Angel, anyone with eyes can see how much Solana loves you but you hurt her and she’s upset. Just give her some time, we both know she can’t ever stay mad at you for long.” He pats his brother’s back before hopping on his bike.
Angel looks towards the window as he gets on his bike. “Sin ti, estoy incompleto. I promise to fix this querida.” He says to himself as they leave for home.
