As u all know I’m rlly struggling financially, and my mom and I are in the process of being evicted from our home, so we’re trying to save up to get into a new place by March. If anyone is willing to pay for some art, please message me! Just hmu with a description and/or reference photo and I’ll get back to u asap :)

I’m only rlly comfortable doing portraits bc that’s what I’m most skilled at, but if u want something different just lmk and I’ll see what I can do (it probably won’t be as good as my portraits, so depending on how it turns out I’ll work with you on the price). Commissioning me gets you an image of the piece taken with my phone (like the ones above) bc I don’t have a scanner or anything, but if you end up liking it a lot and would like it shipped out to you, I can try and make that happen but you would have to cover the shipping costs. Also sorry half of these examples are just Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks LMAO I haven’t been making much art recently and I’m having trouble locating most of my other pieces… but I’ve been creating portraits since I was a child, and I do have a lot of experience with a diverse range of subjects so like I can definitely draw or paint whoever you want!!!

Okay so I've been working on the magic system a lot - you may or may not have seen it under Riley's readmore with extra labels for the cool illegal magic he does because he don't need no rules, but society at large kind of follows this layout.

Healing magic is almost entirely relegated to alchemy - healing doctors work alongside more real-world equivalent modern medicine as well, since healing magic doesn't work on some select people. Alchemy is the magic of knowing what you're doing and what the components are, so it's the safest to perform on people. Other classes of magic depend more on the strength of the caster, or their current magic levels, or their ability to visualize an outcome, or or or - you can understand why most of that isn't allowable in a wider sense.

Necromancy and Spirit magics are highly illegal, with the exception of conjuration-spirit being where most exorcism type magics exist. Necromancy is frowned upon for respect of the dead and cultural taboo reasons, but also because it can be a massive drain on the user's life force and runs the risk of going rogue if the caster is taken out of commission. Spirit magics deal with ghosts - which are not quite the dead - and other magical monsters. Trying to cast on or with them means contending with another possibly-sentient and definitely powerful life form and it's considered too dangerous for people to attempt.

Divination magic can only occur in Mageborn - and only one or two people with that kind of magic are born every so many hundred years. At the beginning of the worlds, when everyone was new it was a helpful survival tool, but only New souls can see the future. As more and more souls were reincarnated and the Soul Sea filled up, it became less necessary for new souls to be created as often. (In a related vein, it's also really rare for souls to cease to exist - it's a slightly slower rate than the birth of new souls.)

Honestly I could kind of expand on most of this but those are the ones that strike me as most interesting/weird! If anyone wants to know more specifics you can always hmu I will talk lore forever and ever.

The worldbuilding for Guardians of Atlas also applies to my other story, Cross & Nightingale! C&N takes place a little under a decade before GoA, and some of this comes up more in one or the other.

Hmm, I've been in a slump with art lately, but I've had a big burst with writing motivation and inspiration. I've also been finding that writing the recent crossovers between my ocs and friends/ acquaintances has really helped me grow in how I write too. It's been great practice!

So I'm close to starting to post Peace is a Dead Rat: the sequel to Lesser Evil. Which is exciting because I've been working on it basically since I finished Lesser Evil and it feels a bit special to me.

And since I've had such a good time with the big bangs, I was thinking about asking some artists if they were interested in doing art of piadr, which would mean getting to read it* early and also I'm definitely open to art trades, commissions, etc. if people want.

*(I have not entirely finished piadr and even the complete chapters are still being fine tuned, but I'm sure we can work something out.)

Fic Author Self-Rec Chain

Got tagged by @hotsuqueen to self-rec my top 5 favorite fics I've written. Let's see...

This one and the next one have got to be tied for my absolute favorites. Yes I reread my own fics and 90% of the time its one of these two. The Frog Prince is my only "long" fic, and it's a P5 shukita retelling of my favorite fairy tale: The Frog Princess. No, not the Disney one, the Russian folk one with Vasilisa the Wise/Beautiful. I poured every bit of my love of the characters, the folk tale, and the arts depicted into it, and I think it shows.

My other favorite, To Paint a Dream, is just as full of emotion to me, but much much darker. D.N. Angel and (presumably) one-sided satodai, it's focused on Satoshi's emotional fallout after a job goes horribly wrong. Pay attention to the tags on this one, please! Spoiler: he does not deal well, and that's the point of the fic. It does have a happy-ish ending though! And is the only fic of mine that I regularly debate commissioning art for (if anyone wants to illustrate the paintings at the end hmu 👀👀👀💰💰💰).

Breaking Locks and Stealing Hearts I think is still somehow one of my favorites, despite it being the very first fic I wrote and imo obvious for it. I'm just so fond of it for breaking the ice for the next 50+ fics! P5 shuake clinic shenanigans that plays with the idea of what if Akechi was closer to shattering and just needed a good spicy push to do so.

Baby Shark Rescue is the newest on the list, and I don't think I was more delighted to be writing a fic ever than I was this one. Every single word is just gleeful sandboxing with some of @hotsuqueen's AUs and bullying my favorite characters. P5/Devil Survivor 2 smashup, set more in P5 than DeSu2, where Yamato's family are yakuza to rule all yakuza, Iwai is a distant cousin, and there are some familial differences in thought about how children should be taught and treated. Featuring child Yamato being a brat! And beloved anyway. The only fanfic of mine I've made art for!

The Devil Within was also delightfully fun to write, inspired by this post by @ belfire. Devil Survivor kazunao in which Naoya might have forgotten to mention Kazuya would need to consume magnetite after becoming King of Bel, and then he helps Kazuya make up the difference. It was very much fun leaning into the base and messy as they went for it, as well as patching up game lore to make it work.

A collection of plot ideas for Craig's TWST verse (x). If any of these catch your interest, please feel free to hmu! Specifics can be tweaked as we see fit. Will be updated as I come up with more ideas. 

1. Craig makes a dress/suit/outfit for your muse. Either commissioning him to create an outfit for your muse, or offering him something else in exchange (if your muse is close with him, he'll probably do it without asking for anything in return). Could be for a specific event your muse wants to attend, or just because. Any excuse for Craig to make pretty clothes for someone.

2. Craig goes to a big fancy ball. Maybe your muse is his date/chaperone, or they just happen to meet at the ball, or your muse is helping him get ready (or vice versa). Give me fancy ball threads you cowards. Bonus points if it's something like a masquerade, bc those are always fun. 

3. Craig is performing in some kind of pageant or show, and your muse helps him prepare. Or vice versa! 

4. Your muse gives Craig a makeover. "Popular" from Wicked plays in the background. Also "Beautiful" from Heathers. I want both these vibes pls.

5. Overblot Craig. Please, I crave OB threads. I am begging with my whole chest. 

6. Craig uses his UM to fuck someone up. More than likely he's doing it either to protect himself or someone else. Unless he's overblotted, in which case he'll fuck up anyone for any reason. See above. 

7. This video (tw for blood and gore). Because angst :) Could be someone underestimating their strength (or overestimating Craig's) and hurting him in the process. Alternatively, Craig can end up accidentally using his UM to cause a similar incident. See above. 

6. Someone saving Craig from his shitty aunts. Either offering him a place to stay during break so he doesn't have to go home, or busting him out Weasley style. Because when you're in an isolated and abusive situation, sometimes you need to be saved and you're not weak if you can't escape by yourself.
