I learned a bit about metal subtypes because I was bored and while Eddie likes trash metal and they don’t generally wear makeup and nail polish. I can see reader putting on eye makeup and nail polish on him for funsies. He complains the entire time but in reality he LOVES the attention and care you put into it, how close you are to him and gentle. How you have to hover over, what if you accidentally tripped and fell on top of him? Oops how’d that happen 🤷🏽‍♀️

i, personally, would hire myself as a stylist for the band. none of them asked me. none of them even wanted me. but i'm blowing the lead guitarist and have an abundance of halloween accessories so they can't get rid of me.

lmao honestly tho he would like the attention, they all would. hyping them up before gigs, making them look like their heroes, they would eat it up.

convincing eddie to wear a button up shirt for a gig would be a hard sell. but you have a vision, and it's one of naked chests and heavy chains and pure, hot, gruesome sex. so you wrestle him into it and only close less than half the buttons, showing off his "cool tatties" god i cringe at him sometimes and slapping on a chain (with your name on it) to go with his signature guitar pick.

if that didn't knock everyone in the front row up, the way you ratted his hair into a perfect mess definitely did.

nail polish he definitely digs. he's horrible at doing it himself because he has zero patience, but he loves letting you do it because "idk man it's just magic how you get it to work" (your trick is to use acrylic paint and quick dry clear coat so he doesn't have to wait around. this is also my trick bc i am also not patient.) also likes the excuse to hold your hand and pet your hair and give you very sloppy, intrusive neck kisses while he has you close.

eyeliner and other makeup however? he's not into it. don't let the hair fool you - he's a manly man. plus he's very energetic, and he gets super sweaty during gigs, and he doesn't want any of those cancerous chemicals getting into his eyes ("eddie you smoke fucking cigarettes don't talk to me about 'cancerous chemicals' ")

the one time you convinced him to let you put eyeliner on him he hated it. pouted the whole time, flinched when the pencil got close to his eye, took one look in the mirror and made you remove it. the only reason he even agreed to let you do it was because you sat on his lap while you did.

no matter how many times you tell him it's tacky, eddie wears t-shirts for his own band while performing. he actually does it just to annoy you now. for one gig he convinced the entire band to wear their t-shirts on stage and could not stop laughing during the set at how pissed you looked. he thinks you're so CUTE when you're peeved at him <3

speaking of t-shirts, you love to make homemade ones for him. you punk them out, spray painting stenciled letters with bleach and making strategic cuts that you mend together with safety pins. his favorite shirts are the one you made that says "security" across the front (a-la hayley williams of paramore) and the one that says "groupie". even when he's dressing the part, he's gotta be a goof.

eddie bitches constantly about your wardrobe direction but honestly he loves when you make a fuss over him. most of his complaints are playful, just to tug at your strings a little bit.

the one thing you don't let him do is perform completely shirtless. the groupies are already vicious and, despite eddie only having eyes for you (he has literally walked past groupies trying to flirt with him in order to get to you, man's whipped), you want to keep some of him for yourself. (he kind of prefers it anyway, since he's actually pretty self conscious of his body. he's still got a lil baby fat around his stomach that he doesn't like anyone but you to see.)

whoo! Okay where to begin… I want to say this was the best episode yet!!

I want to start with Mew. Dude, i kid y’all not, I seriously was hating him so much this episode for obvious reasons. Not only cause I definitely fell for him saying, “screw him (ray) I have you now” the punch and him being completely oblivious to Top’s disgustingness. However, y’all that DAMN PLOT TWIST?!! I was GAGGED! I probably looked so stupid with my jaw on the floor! I can’t believe I was really falling for him being an idiot and then boom! He fucking lays it out on Top & us!! That’s the craziest plot twist I’ve ever seen!! Crazy good! I’m glad he let Top have it. He was soooo crazy for that but damn I just, I was in utter shock!

Nick, baby… I’m not gonna tell you again, you deserve better!!! I now see where he gets it from. Ton is just like his low of a man father. No wonder he thinks it’s okay to mess around. no fr, I literally had tears in my eyes. How dare you call him a whore!!! My heart is broken for them. Sand had a master plan and not only did it work but those intentions are questionable but he’s still my favorite. He’s the definition of I will not let my feelings get the best of me and I give no fucks. The fact that he cares for Ray but chose to accept that he’s in love with Mew and still decided to tell him about the recording… idk man so many emotions. Ray, I hurt for him I really do. I kept finding myself say, “what tf are you doing omg!!” But, I like that he told everyone their shit. He’s always made out to be this lonely depressed alcoholic when he’s honestly a good friend!! I mean he told Mew about the recording, maybe we know the intentions behind it but he still told him. I hate how their always making it seem like he can’t get someone to love. Maybe it’s his choice not to date? Idk but him going off on his friends was lowkey satisfying. I just hate how he treated sand. This was a whole ass mess of an episode but soooo soooo good!! I could feel the angst from the beginning. I swear it’s only getting better!!

He did, the poor fellow! Here's some backstory to explain how on earth my shy-as-hell dumbass worked the courage to have some bathroom stall shenanigans:

So I started dating this classmate in highschool, (the one I often refer to as "the deceased" bc he's dead to me) and he was a major asshole. Emotionally abusive, controlling, made me feel bad about literally every single thing I enjoyed, especially writing fanfiction and not being a boring piece of shit like he was.

Welp! I spent like a decade with this bastard bc he was a classic abusive dickhead who pushed my friends away and I couldn't see that he was a major asshole until I started therapy. When I was 26 my therapist, clever lady she was, knew I was suffering but also v attached to him still, so she suggested us to "take a break". Not breaking up, just take a break, for one month, and reevaluate the relationship.

I spent a long time moping over him but my bestie said "wait does that mean I can finally take you clubbing?" and I proceeded to have an absolute blast dancing and having fun with her!

The second time we went clubbing, it was a star wars themed party! I went as a cute padmé amidala, and spent the night dancing and watching snippets of SW movies that played on the big screens, explaining to my very confused bff who's never watched a star war in her life why I was attracted to the angry looking alien with horns and red skin w/ black tattoos - darth maul. She remained confused.

(Fun fact, I'm autistic and loud environments make me literally sick, but I think I needed this freedom so badly my brain let me have these moments for once. Now I literally cannot enter a club. Anyway.)

While we're dancing, a handsome clone-trooper looking type walked past us and I think I gave him such an eye-fucking of a look that he made a beeline to me and took me to dance (I gave a thumbs-up to my bff bc she is v protective and will push creepy dudes away from me, bless her).

Then we started kissing and fooling around in a corner, and the guy invited me over to his place.

(here's the thing, my ex literally acted like sex was a chore. I repeatedly, gently asked him whether he was asexual, promising to be okay with it if it was the case but he swore he wasnt which. made me feel like I was very unappealing and did a number on my self-esteem. Oof.)

So I was pent up as hell and desperate for a fuck, especially a fuck with an enthusiastic guy for once in my life. On the other hand, girls that go with strangers to their place might be raped or killed. So when I said no, the guy suggested we fucked in the bathroom.

Now, that wouldn't be proper ladylike behavior, i reasoned with myself, while fully cupping the guy's groin with my hand. So I said a very unconvincing no, and the guy asked if I was sure, and I said "we might be caught", and he said "not if we're quiet"

...and goddamnit I was so damn horny and I can't even blame it on being drunk bc I don't drink alcohol out bc it makes me sleepy. This was 100% horny brain in charge and I was the one to actually pull the guy into the bathroom with me.

(We're gonna fade to black here bc I'm not willing to share those details here, but I can point out the funny bits):

there wasn't enough room in that bathroom stall for someone to pee comfortably, much less for two people to squeeze in and do the horizontal vertical tango

if you ever wanna do that, do that early in the night, not after dancing for hours because your knees will want to buckle the entire time and that's not hot

be smart and have condoms in your bag. wrap it up, folks. it's the 21st century and everyone who's sexually active should have their protection regardless of gender or lack thereof <3

the sound of toilets flushing nearby is quite the mood-killer, but if the music drowns out most of it, one can make it work

The Rosemary and Thyme was rambunctious and lively as bards sang and performers dance for the crowd. Every table was crammed full and there was a large group of people dancing closer to the stage. 

You were squeezed onto a bench between Dettlaff and Geralt. You were trying your best to contain your excitement, but it was quite difficult. Every now and then, you would find yourself clapping along with the music or even dancing in your seat. Being that the bench you were on was crowded, nearly every movement you made had you bumping into either Geralt or Dettlaff.

“You should go up there to dance, Y/N.” Geralt suggested, nodding to the crowd at the front of the room. 

“You’re sittin’ there squirmin’ like you’ve got ants in your trousers.” Zoltan commented from across the table. 

“It’s not often that I get to come to events like these.” You explained. “Dettlaff doesn’t enjoy them.”

“He looks like he’s being tortured. The poor sap.” Zoltan shifted his gaze to the higher vampire. 

You turned your head to look at your husband. 

He wasn’t paying a bit of attention to the bards or the performers. The look that was on his face screamed displeasure and discontent. 

“Geralt is right, Y/N.” Regis spoke from the other side of Dettlaff. “You should go dance. You would enjoy it.”

“I would only go if someone joins me.”

Dettlaff could feel your eyes on him. 

He shook his head, bringing his hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose. 

“My heart–,”

“It would just be for a few minutes, Dettlaff.”

“And in those few minutes, I would make a fool of myself dancing to this kind of music.”

“Always dramatic, Dettlaff, my love.” You rubbed his arm with a little smile. 

A couple minutes later, Priscilla was making her way on to the stage. 

You began to cheer for your friend and even going as far as to stand up as you clapped.

“Dettlaff, look!”

“I see who it is, my dear.”

“Clap for her, Dettlaff!”

“Darling, our beloved Dettlaff is an old soul.” Regis put his hand on Dettlaff’s arm. “In every sense of the word.”

You returned to your seat, smoothing out your skirt and then taking a sip of your drink.

“What does that make us?” You raised a brow with a little grin. 

“Young and lively, of course. While Dettlaff lives up to his age, we will never be older than one-hundred-and-twenty.”

“I like the sound of that.” You giggled.

The night seemed to be over far too soon. You enjoyed the time spent with friends. Stories and drinks were shared, and there were many laughs. 

After parting ways with everyone, you and Dettlaff began to walk by yourselves towards the inn you would be staying at. 

With your arm hooked around his elbow, you leaned against him. 

“Did you enjoy tonight?” You looked over at him. 

“I always enjoy my nights spent with you.” He smiled tenderly at you. “Did you?”

“I had a fantastic evening.” You nodded. “The only thing that would have made it better would have been dancing with my husband.”

“Well, I don’t think that is something I can help you with.” He chuckled softly, shaking his head. “You know very well I don’t dance, especially not to that music.”

“You are so picky about what music you dance to.” You came to a stop and made him turn to face you. “I guess I will have to employ an orchestra from Toussaint to follow us around so that you will dance with me whenever I please.”

“Oh, I don’t think that is how that works.”

Hmmmm does it not bother this fandom with the way the writers really back tracked ian and mickey in the very last season. It’s not deep to where it’s nothing more than a result of the shameless writers taking the comedic approach and getting super lazy as it was nearing the end but for me personally I can’t accept that back tracking. No way Ian and Mickey at that point would push and shove and fail miserably at talking, and so forth. I love how everyone tries to see the good and have bias love but the “they were so healthy and strong” stuff I see is just lies LMAO they were unbearable in that last season and anyone knew would assume they hated eachother. I guess everyone has an attachment to canon but yea I don’t know it’s like no one here really acknowledges how bad it was but accept open their arms to the horrible backtracking instead of not letting the writers laziness win.

lol i can't speak for the fandom but that this point, i just try not to let the disappointments of the later seasons own me like that? if you followed me while it was airing, you'll know i had my gripes and so did many others - but we're two years out and i'm no longer indulging in that energy, ya know?

like - i absolutely see where you're coming from. the quality was obviously different. and if i let myself go there, i can still get pretty upset about the shittiness of certain storylines. and i think most other characters had it worse than ian and mickey in s11. those fools are fine askfldh but i guess it's just.... for me, personally, there are so many other things i'd prefer to meta and tease out and talk about. the show's over, the season happened, and i can't blame anyone for choosing to enjoy it - it's all we have left! we did plenty of acknowledging of the issues we had while the show was running (HOS, anyone?), but now we're just chillin and enjoying our fandom space. and there were parts of the season that i genuinely did enjoy! i am not trying to retcon anything here 😄 just seeking the joy where i find it.

although - i have to say that it totally made sense to me that ian and mickey had those hurdles. you can trace back through the seasons that these two were never great at communicating. they never learned how! they had terrible models for relationships and also trauma and untreated mental illness! s10/s11 was the time to try and mess up and learn. not saying it was always a successfully written aspect of these seasons sdkfjh but i did understand it. oKAY i am done rambling. i see you, anon, and i totally get what you're saying! i hope you can still have a good time here with us ✨

SO BASICALLY I ship johnkat so loyally because my teenage self identified with john more than I ever had with any other character before (a very strong kin, before kinning was a common fandom word), and I had a crush on karkat because I unconsciously saw my dream partner in him: someone absolutely overflowing with love and devotion to give, whose special interest is romance, who falls in love with john so hard and so quickly and adores him for all the qualities he claims to hate (because--he says--"I NEVER HATED YOU." so what else could it be but love?). How I wanted a Karkat! Someone to love me with everything they have, the whole of their being! I tried to force it so hard on my then-love. It hastened the end of our already deteriorating relationship (and I'm glad for it, even though I'm embarrassed by just how desperately I tried to get her to just read Homestuck, please I'll do anything, even one page a day will satisfy me, you promised and you won't do it even though you know how much it means to me, please please please!!!)

Now that I'm an adult and have my dream partner, I understand how I was neglected and starved for care and I understand how those qualities I saw in Karkat would translate into a relationship for John as I see him, and why I was drawn to that. All I knew then was that it made me very, very happy to see them interact (it still does!), but I was very, very picky about my characterization in fandom (I still am).

One thing that I now have words for that I didn't then is that I wanted Karkat to be a service top! LMAO. I couldn't even admit to myself in 2011 BL fandom terms that I wanted him to be the seme. I was viruently against seme/uke terminology, because the ukes were always girlier and the semes were always more masculine which I found to be very heteronormative (not coincidentally: the exact opposite of the dynamic I was into, being, even then, soft butch and more attracted to femmes), and somehow turned that into convincing myself every pairing had to be switches or it wasn't realistic. the fact that I only liked thinking about the character I identified with being submissive meant nothing because when it came down to it, i would top too when I had sex, because everyone only wants to be the bottom, obviously, but you have to take turns. (Despite what fandom has taught me, this is not in fact the case. Tops do exist! Some people actually like being dominant and don't just do it because someone has to!) But I certainly liked the fanworks where Karkat was bigger and stronger a whole lot........

So what this boils down to is, I'm the only person in the world who thinks karkat's a strict top. Sorry to everyone for this Homestuck sacrilege. I know Karkat screams crybaby tsundere uke to the rest of the world but in him, I saw a crybaby tsundere yandere and a mommy gf.

Let me clarify: he's an obsessive-type yandere, not violent. The weirdo basically canonically stalks John, watching his whole life through the computer and falling in love with him. I think he'd just love his partner so much! I think he would worship them, and he wants them in every quadrant (LIKE A DESPERATE FOOL). he wants to be everything to and have everything in one person. It's very intense. I like how that contrasts in how breezy John is. He loves deeply, fiercely, his friends are the most important people in the world to him! But he doesn't know anything about romantic love. He has a little crush on Rose, but the first time he falls in love, with someone who loves him back - he'll fall so hard he'll never get back up.

Karkat would be there to catch him. Unconditional love from someone who understands him. He's a mommy, as much as Kanaya, just in a grumpier way. We see it in the way he grows into his role as leader. A lot of karkat's character development is accepting he's a much softer, kinder person than he thinks the world wants him to be.

Don't get me wrong - John is just as good for Karkat as Karkat does for John. I just feel like what Karkat does for john is less focused on in fandom. But john loves him so. He makes Karkat laugh. John loves so purely, effortlessly. He hands out love and kindness in a way utterly foreign to troll society. He loves all the things Karkat hates about himself and teaches Karkat to love himself in turn. Karkat does that for John, too, which is part of the process. Remember how john scrawled on the walls that he was a stupid idiot dumb kid? And Karkat of course had seen this, and responded with the most flushed of emotions, pity? Is it hard to imagine this helped him look upon himself with love instead of hate? They could change each other for the better. They could be so happy together.

Idk where I was going with this. They could be so happy together. In my head hs^2 never happened and they're soulmates sry

Hello T, I hope I'm not a bother, simply, I've been under the weather recently due to self-esteem issues, and I was wondering if I could submit this emergency request?

A week ago, I got my hair cut short again, and I (at first) told myself it looked good, but I quickly realized I had just fooled myself :D Additionally, I also resumed school last week, and 1) it turns out I'm not in the same class as my closest friend (which results in much loneliness), and 2) I'm very self-conscious about my looks/clothing.

For the 1) point, I'm mainly alone at school, and I wonder why my personality is so different (at least, that's how I see it). Why do I come off as so unapproachable? Everyone makes new friends and is excited to talk to one another, but then there's me, most of the time only having for company myself. I just want to understand why it's like this.

On the 2) point, I tend to look more masculine (because of my shorter hair), and while I don't usually mind it much (usually being when I had my hair longer...) I feel like now it's too much for my own liking, and that made me absolutely loathe my clothing style (and by extension my looks). I just look... weird? Unappealing? I don't even know how to describe what I look like.

I'd be a bit reassured if Sanemi and Mitsuri could help me with this (separately as a romantic partner). You don't have to write this, but if you do, thank you. I think it's really sweet of you to write these emergency requests for us, you're an angel.

April TC Challenge!

It was so nice reading everyone's answers for this challenge! Thank you guys so much 🥺

Day 1: Happy April Fool’s! Have you ever pranked your TC; if so, how did they react?

I’ve never done it myself but we have as a class, someone once suggested that we stay absolutely silent during T’s lesson. He made us discuss in pairs and we all started writing on paper, typing on computers, using made-up sign language, etc. T got a bit frustrated and said he’d make us write an essay if we continued, which scared me because I hate seeing him upset. We got a bit scared as well and eventually all broke out in laughter (we didn't even last 10 minutes lmao), he lightened up again and said he initially wondered what he did to make us mad at him, which I thought was adorable.

Day 2: What is the earliest thing you can remember about your TC?

The first thing I remember is seeing his name on my friend’s timetable on the first day of the year he came to our school, and not knowing how to pronounce it because I’d never seen it before. I really can’t remember my first impression of him as a person, though, it was years before he started teaching me.

Day 3: Do you like your TC’s subject? Do you consider yourself to be good at it?

I do like English to an extent, I find it fascinating, and I have gotten very good at it, but none of it felt natural if that makes sense? My love for other subjects like science is intuitive and I am naturally good at it, but I had to fight really hard for English because of T.

Although I did get a top-of-the-class grade for a test some time near the end of the year before I got him as a teacher, so maybe I was already kind of decent at it, but let's just say the first half a year of being in love with T was torture because English was so hard for me.

Day 4: How do you feel about your age gap?

Ngl I have had quite a few TCs and my age gap with T is in the middle of that range. As for age gaps in general, yes I do wish we didn’t have this canyon time in between us that I could never cross, and I wish I didn’t feel so immature and like a child compared to my TCs, but it is, naturally, what gives the unique traits of these crushes. Even though I don’t love T because he is older, him being older means he is more sophisticated and wise and moral and has his life together, which I do love. These experiences wouldn’t really be what they are without the age gap, and I’m learning to sort of appreciate that.

Day 5: Have you ever said anything to your TC that showed you favoured them? Have they said anything like that to you?

Umm I guess that time when S was supporting me for an application, I actually originally asked T but he was already supporting someone else, and he later asked me if I found another teacher so I said S. He was like ah and smiled… AND I JOKED THAT S WAS "the second best choice", second to him. It was clearly a joke but I did mean it. As for the other way around, he has said before that I am one of the best in the year so there’s that.

Day 6: Have you ever noticed any small habits that they have? If so, what comes to mind first?

Spinning his pen in his hand while he's working (it’s actually very impressive to watch and very hot), biting the end of his pen, and wrapping his leg around the table leg sometimes when he's sitting on top of one of the empty tables.

Day 7: What gift would you really like to be able to give them, regardless of if it’s realistic or not?

Before I knew he was leaving this year I wanted to give him a collection of poems I had written for him when I graduate, since he has helped me in my poetry writing, but now that can’t happen. I would also love to give him something related to any texts he taught us in English but ik it won’t mean as much to him as it does to me.

Day 8: Does your TC ever talk about what it was like when they were still a student?

Yes, T likes to incorporate his own experiences into his teaching which I absolutely love. He often mentioned not being good at science subjects back in school, which is a bit sad because I like the sciences and I am good at it, but it’s also cute to think that there are things he doesn’t know or can’t do. I also just love being reminded that he is still a real person, with real relationships and real pasts.

Day 9: Does your TC have a significant other? If so, what do you know about them and how do you feel about them?

Okay I might have written this question just to gush about S oops-

T and S really have a beautiful relationship, I love seeing them together (she teaches at our school too btw in case anyone hasn’t heard me gushing about her). S and I basically have the same first name, so I think she was always aware of my existence even though she didn’t teach our class a lot. We got to an actual 'know each other' stage a year ago, since then I would greet her if I see her around school and hope she remembers me. Then there was the application she helped me with some months ago, which really got us closer and she gave me so much support.

S is such an inspiration to me, she is so strong and so kind, and she stands for a lot of the things I believe in. I haven’t seen her in forever since we’re online or talked, I'm afraid I might never see her again :,(

Day 10: What is the longest time you have gone without seeing them?

If online learning doesn’t count as "seeing them", then it would be the online learning period when the pandemic first broke out in 2020. If we don’t go back to school soon, then this will be the longest, which absolutely sucks since it’s so close to T leaving.

Day 11: What do other people usually think about them?

People who have never been taught by him find him a bit scary (as I also did in the past), but his students usually really like him as a teacher and we all recognise how well he teaches - a bit too much that I can get jealous sometimes lol.

Day 12: Do you often make up excuses to speak to them? What kinds of excuses do you like to use?

Lmaoo all the time, it’s usually asking for help on English or the essay he’s mentoring me on or poetry and stuff. Once I even went to him after school to ask for lined paper because he gave us the choice of hand-writing or typing a homework and I wanted to make the point to him that I was hand-writing it like he wanted.

Day 13: Other than the subject they teach, what are they really passionate about?

I think sports and history are the main ones. He also really likes watching films and has somewhat strong political views.

Day 14: What is a skill you really wish your TC had?

Day 15: Which MBTI personality do you think they are? (If you don't do MBTI, which Hogwarts House do you think they would be in?)

I get ENTJ vibes based on the break down of the four categories, but some of the general traits attributed to ENTJs don’t fit. Maybe ESTJ.

As for Houses, he said himself that he’s probably a Ravenclaw with some Gryffindor, which was exactly what I had guessed before asking him that question (so proud smh).

Day 16: If you could go back in time and choose, would you still choose to develop feelings for your TC?

Definitely. This journey hasn’t been easy at all (especially now) but it is so rewarding. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I wouldn't even know what I would spend all my waking daylight thinking about if I wasn't in love with T that'd be so boring.

Day 17: If it was the last time you would ever be able to see your TC, what is one thing you would never leave without saying to them?

It feels terrible to answer this when the exact scenario is going to happen in two months… I have been vaguely planning out what I would say to T on the last day (debated over confessing or not), and as of now I just want to tell him how important he is to me and how much I admire him as a teacher, how much he has impacted my life, etc. etc. I need him to know that he matters to me.

It hurts a hundred times worse that all of this is contingent on us being able to return to school before the summer; I might not be able to see him again for the last time.

Day 18: When was the first time you cried because of them?

I must have mentioned before that I first realised he was a TC to me when he took us on a school trip abroad? We returned really late at night and were on the bus back from the airport, I sat quite close to his seat so I could see him, and I cried in the dark knowing that it was all going to be over soon. I still miss that trip to this day :,\

Day 19: How well do you think you know them?

I’m pretty good at remembering things about him and he has told us and revealed to us a lot in the past two and a half years, so I would say I know him quite well. Still not really on a personal level, though.

Day 20: Do you ever lie to them? About what?

We rarely talk about things that would require me to lie to him? Like I’ve never missed any work so I never had to make excuses, and he never questions things that might have been suspicious because of my feelings. The only time I could think of is when he was helping with my poetry writing and I was writing a poem for S - I had to say it was inspired by a TV show because I was using female pronouns lol. 

Day 21: What is the longest time you have spent together with them?

That day when we came back from the school trip he took us on - the day after I realised I liked him, I was around him for almost the entire day (12+ hours) and it was so nice ;-;

What I actually had in mind while writing this question though was a year ago today, we were in school and I spent four hours with him to help lead an event for his after school activity. We felt more like equals then and I loved feeling like he trusted and relied on me. How can it be a year already???

Day 22: If you have had other TCs in the past (or right now), how are they similar to or different from your current (or primary) TC?

I have a lot of ex-TCs so I’ll write about my current ones… Obviously there’s S, his wife, and surprisingly they’re actually quite different people? I love hearing about their differences and at the same time being reminded of how in love they are. They do share a common interest in sport (among other things of course) and similar values.

L and K are both quite different to T; L mostly because of the subjects she teaches and her bold, vibrant energy, and K mostly because of his sensitive nature and dramatic personality. T is never as strict or unpredictable as K and K is never as commanding and organised, but their subjects do overlap considerably and T sometimes teaches us terminology I learnt from K.

Day 23: Have you ever seen your TC in clothes they don’t usually wear? Casual clothes if they usually wear formal attire or the other way around?

T always wore suits in school, even in online learning. We had a few non-uniform days in the past when T would dress in casual clothes, and I always loved it because he looked so real - a normal, alive human being just like us. I have also bumped into him outside of school a few times and seen him in his own clothes. On days with sporting events (and, this year, every week on the day he taught us phys ed) he would wear our school's uniforms for phys ed teachers. I especially love seeing him in a particular blue hoodie, it makes him look about ten years younger 🥰

Day 24: When was the last time they made your heart thump?

On Friday when I was waiting for our one-on-one conversations about my progress in English. For some reason, the anticipation is always worse online, it was this way when I was waiting for results, for our meetings about my essay, even for normal English lessons. I was so nervous that time, and, it turned out, rightly so (see last update). But to be honest, any time I see him makes my heart beat.

Day 25: How do you think your TC would react if you confided in them when you felt sad or stressed or anxious?

I wonder about this all the time, especially after I confided in my ex-TC about my bad mental health (almost two years ago now). I am so tempted to find out with T, but whenever I get near that point something about his behaviour makes me think he won't react the way I want him to. Especially now that we are online, it is frustratingly hard. I imagine him being gentle and reassuring me and telling me that he believes in me, that he recognises my hard work and that I have always been good enough :,(

Day 26: What is the best dream you have had of them?

The most intimate dream I had was of T and I sitting side by side on a table, and his arm was surrounding my waist and I was leaning into him. I have also dreamt of holding his hand or him confessing to me (*cringes*). Sometimes it would be quite elaborate, us spending a lot of time together because of a school event or something, and those dreams are also really nice.

Day 27: What is the saddest/scariest dream you have had of them?

I have a lot more of these... Dreaming of him leaving usually hurts the most because I know it will happen soon. The scariest is probably that time when I dreamt that he was kidnapped and was going to die unless we find him in a very short time? The fear of losing him was very real. And then I performed an autopsy on him and held his heart in my hands lmao.

Day 28: Does your TC ever bring you up to other students/teachers that you know of?

Another English teacher told me that T would sometimes show her my essays because they were some of the best in our year group 🥰 There was also when T gave me a really special English award and the teacher who oversaw our year group came to congratulate me, saying T had mentioned it to him and had said that I was one of the best students he had ever taught. I am bawling from that memory.

Day 29: Do you see them as being a romantic person? Are you?

I am a very helpless romantic (as evident in this blog lmao) and I get the feeling that T is quite romantic as well. Not as badly as I am, of course, he is very much realistic and composed and mature, but just in the most everyday details. I feel so sure that he would do small gestures for S, arrange a surprise for her every now and then, value her above most other things, go out of his way to be around her,,

Day 30: How have they changed since you two first met? How have you changed?

I don't remember as much about T from when he first started teaching me, even less from when he first came to the school. In general, I think he has gotten much more comfortable with our class, and he is more assertive as a person and more involved in things within the school. As for me, apart from obviously being two years older and hopefully more mature/less obnoxious, loving T for this long has really led me to take joy in fighting for someone and be even more reliant on academic validation. I am more aware of my feelings because I grapple with them every day, and T has reinforced a lot of the values I held but wasn't as aware of. I've loved this journey so much I cannot believe it is coming to an end soon.

so. there was a girl i used to talk abt a lot here. i might rb a few things that i mentioned her in. anyways. i had a big old crush on her in hs. but i moved away for school and that was that. what might have been during hs was kinda dropped. i still saw her when i came back for holidays it summer, but she was more of my bffs friend than mine by the end of hs, so i only saw her once in a while. and by the time i finished college. ig i still remembered the crush i had on her, but i felt like i had gotten over it.

the thing abt this girl is she's a very big jokester and kinda deflective. shes kinda like. an elementary school kid who has a crush on someone and only knows how to handle it by being mean to them? thats kinda her. but with jokes??

well, i never took ANYTHING she said abt us srsly bc. its just what she does. she jokes.

and a few weeks ago, my friend invited us to a little kickback and she was there. i made a post abt it i think, bc obviously everyone needs to be in my business. but quick run down. she made a joke abt kissing me. when i didn't go along with it she said, "why didn't you lean in?" and that's the moment it kinda hit me that she might be fr 😭

and the she got "defensive" again and she told me she was gonna talk to the cute girl over there or w.e.

my close friend always throws a big old costume party for her birthday since she's an october baby, duh. and shes make a deal of inviting anyone she was ever cool with. so some ppl from hs, some ppl from shows she goes to, shes knows a lot of ppl. and ofc this girl is gonna be there (lets not talk abt the fact that my ex and her new girl was there lmao, i didnt mind, i just had no idea how to react)

and me? im a little loose from the alc. i dont even remember how we ended up hanging together, but we did. we played beer pong (and ofc we're both amazing so a lot of celebration hugs).

and i think from there we stick to each others sides. kinda close. right?

well by the end of the party we're making out. again, i dont remember how it happened. just that it did.

MIN YOONGI

a collection of swords hang on the walls of his office—and they're not just for decoration purposes

once he loses interest in a discussion or sees it not worth his or Bangtan's time, he will easily just stand and leave without saying anything—nothing fazes or scares him, and he simply does not give a fuck

when he enters a room, it noticeably gets quieter—people either intimidated by his presence, in awe of his feline-like allure, or cautious of what information Yoongi might get on them

JUNG HOSEOK

born an illegitimate son to a gang lord, taken away from his mother, and raised to study the business he was set to inherit 

spoiler alert: he kills his father and joins his father's gang with Bangtan Sonyeondan instead 

very respected, and might as well be considered to be the second head of Bangtan Sonyeondan—even Namjoon agrees to this

he runs a business of mercenaries and has his own circle of specialized people that he tasks for those assassinations and missions

master at dealings—weapons, territories, money, drugs, etc.—he knows how to get what he wants one way or another

he spent years accumulating power and influence, and his determination and skillset is what makes the boys respect him a lot as their leader

clumsy with almost everything, but isn't entirely hopeless, he can defend himself—those muscles aren't just for show you know

has an extensive collection of books in his office—knowledge is one the main sources of his power—and a certain book, when pulled, leads to a secret safe room housing personal memorabilia and a safe full of cash (among other things)

always has the final say on major transactions and demands reports from individual members by the end of their respective missions and tasks 

his tall and large build immediately draw people's eyes towards him as soon as he enters a room, demanding careful attention

it is then that the dimples that appear on his rehearsed smile dismantle everyone for a moment and almost make them forget that this very man right here leads the organization that trampled over their businesses in just years of taking his father's title 

PARK JIMIN

It doesn’t come as a surprise to Alpha that the 501st’s latest addition - Skywalker’s shadow, a Togrutan girl who doesn’t seem far removed from her first handling of a lightsaber - is every bit as inquisitive and brash as her Master was, not so long ago.

The details are hardly relevant, of course, but Alpha vividly remembers being frustrated and amused in turns by Skywalker’s antics when he was still Kenobi’s Padawan. So when Rex comes to him, looking half out of his mind with exasperation, Alpha finds his sympathy is greatly outweighed by amusement.

“I don’t know what to do with her,” Rex says plaintively when he’s finally exhausted every instance of Tano’s creativity somehow making its way into Torrent’s battle strategies.

“Same thing you would do with any cadet,” Alpha answers with a shrug. “It’s straightforward enough.”

“But that’s the thing - I have no idea what to do with a cadet, either,” Rex says, and there’s definitely a note of desperation in his voice now.

As per usual, Fordo decides it’s high time he contributes to the conversation. “You and Alpha are in the same boat, then.”

“Shabuir,” Alpha says, affronted. “I knew what I was doing.”

Fordo turns to Rex, grinning like the di’kut he is. “In that case, I’m sure Sev will have all kinds of advice for you.”

Fordo is entirely too clever for his own good, Alpha decides, but resolves to take it up with him later in the face of Rex’s distress. He really doesn’t have the first clue what to do with a scrappy little Padawan, but Rex doesn’t need to know that.

“Just do what Skywalker does,” Alpha finally says, and regrets it almost immediately. He may not know much about kids, but he’s pretty sure that if he were responsible for assigning a Padawan to a Master, Skywalker would be his last choice. “... or not.”

Luckily, Rex seems to be thinking along similar lines. “He’s got an unusual method. That’s how General Kenobi puts it, anyways.”

“Technically, his Padawan shouldn’t be your responsibility,” Alpha points out. “But seeing as it’s Skywalker…”

“I have to fill in the gaps,” Rex supplies diplomatically. “So how did you handle it on Kamino, then?”

“With a lot of swearing,” Fordo says, utterly shameless.

“With a lot of - no, not with a lot of swearing - well - with a lot of, uh… creativity.”

“He doesn’t like kids,” Fordo adds.

“I never said - cadets are a handful and you know it.”

“Don’t let him fool you,” Fordo continues, conveniently deaf to Alpha’s indignation but still grinning all the same. “He didn’t have the first clue what he was doing.”

“Are you done?” Alpha demands.

Fordo feigns concentration. “No, I don’t believe so.”

“Ne’johaa,” Alpha grumbles, then turns to Rex. “Just… make sure she doesn’t get killed.”

“You’ve really improved your bedside manner, ner vod.”

“I’m going to kill you,” Alpha promises. “She’ll be old enough to take care of herself soon enough,” he adds, returning to Rex. “Help her as needed and let her learn from her mistakes. Simple as that.”

Rex’s relief is palpable. “Help her. That, I can do. Thanks, Alpha.”

“Ba’gedet’ye. Now get out of here before Skywalker blows something else up.”

“I can see the headlines now,” Rex sighs, and unclips his helmet from his belt. “I’m sure I’ll be seeing you before too long, if those two keep going at the rate they do.”

“I’m sure,” Alpha agrees drily, and he can’t help but laugh at the look on Rex's face.

Rex makes his way out of the room. No sooner does the door close than Fordo turns to Alpha, a crooked grin spreading across his face once more.

Alpha lets out a sigh of his own. “I’ll bite. What?”

“So if Tano is Skywalker’s Padawan, and Rex is sort of like her buir… does that make you her ba’buir?”
