The thing about sambucky is it's weird hearing racism is bad from the studio that keeps casting white actors for originally poc characters.

good aspects of the show don’t get rid of the bad ones. diagetically it’s handling racism well in my opinion but marvel still sucks, it just means they can try and make a good show if they put the effort in. that the content and comics both have convoluted history with presenting racism doesn’t help and that many of the ethnic changes aren’t addressed is getting old. 

#i know marvel is bad okay i know #it's why i hate marvel #they mess up with treating traumatised characters and they get all these weird messages into the movies #thor 1 is a prime example of marvel establishing a storyline with racism and then just dropping it bc they didn't know what to do #if i compliment the show or marvel for tfatws it's because i appreciate the content #im not thanking feige for the show #but it is dealing with how complicated racism can be well enough? i think? #you've got multiple perspectives and I'd wish they didn't have so many plots mixing together #but there is an entire explicitly marked section for racial themes and i appreciate that #that there are other topics blended in is actually nice bc while it takes attention away it doesn't only make it about race like some things #which is beautiful because racism IS a whole thing on it's own but it also joins up with other things and contributes to a web of things #which i think is being shown well #we'll see where the show goes #the studio does have a history of sucking with casting though ://
