pairing: more jude bellingham x f1 driver!reader
summary: you get interviewed by your celebrity crush after getting your first pole position, and you boyfriend can't stop teasing you for it. [wc: ~850]
contents: reader is feeling silly, fluff, awful attempt at being funny ‼️NOT proofread (i'll do it later 😪)
req: We need more driver gf x jude 🙏🙏🙏
note: this is sort of a part 2 to ballroom extravaganza but it can definitely be read as a stand alone !! i'm happy that you guys enjoyed my f1 driver!reader work, i have a few more requests for this trope that i'll write when i find the time :D
now playing: daydreamin' by ariana grande (yours truly)
"y/n don't freak out, alright ?"
the words of your race engineer in your ears were already freaking you out, you were already imagining your flying lap deleted because of track limits or a penalty.
"you're on pole! congrats y/n, you deserve it."
"no way, no way... i think this is the best day of my life." you couldn't help but scream in joy, probably destroying your engineer's ears.
"fuck, thank you so much guys... i love this team so much, i swear." you cringed at your sappy comments but you couldn't help yourself. you had a hard time adjusting during your rookie year in f1 and the first few months were quite challenging to you. but this, it was the proof you were getting there, that you couldn't give up.
getting out of your car, you ran towards your team in the parc fermé as they kept congratulating you for your great result. as your team's engineers and mechanics kept patting your back, your eyes met your boyfriend's. you hugged him strongly as if he would slip away from you if you let him go.
"i'm so proud of you my love. you're the best." he kissed the top of your helmet before walking away to get your interview done.
you watched lando get interviewed by jenson button, as he finished p3. he'd always been comfortable doing media work, something you definitely needed to improve. you dreaded this moment, jenson button was one of your favourite drivers when you were younger and you had a little celebrity crush on him back then. of course, it was no longer the case, but you were terrified of embarrassing yourself in front of him, even more so knowing cameras would be filming the moment in 4k.
lando went to congratulate you after finishing his interview while you were waiting for perez to complete his. quickly, a mic was handed to you and you walked to the interview zone.
"y/n, what a lap! congratulations on the first pole of your career, hopefully the first of many..." jenson beamed.
"thank you... i hope to get more poles if i get rewarded by a jenson button interview." you were still out of breath from your lap and the excitement you felt. your nervousness dissipated a bit when jenson laughed at your attempt at a joke.
"that was a perfect lap, you think you can keep that position tomorrow for the race ?" jenson asked you.
"of course it's gonna be hard but both lando and i have the possibility of going home with a great result, maybe a 1-2. we just need to find out the best strategy and my job is just to make sure i drive perfectly."
"that you showed you can do. once again, congratulations y/n, pole sitter here in sao paulo. let's hope i get to interview you tomorrow as a race winner this time!"
"now that's good motivation, see you tomorrow." you waved at the crowd before getting your trophy and getting the pictures done.
jude was already waiting for you with a big smile on his face. he hugged you again and peppered kisses across your face.
"my pole sitter, you were brilliant today."
"thank you, i thought i would pass out after crossing the finish line."
"we need to talk about that interview though, you really want to replace me with that old man?" he raised his eyebrow questioning you.
"he's not old! i might replace you with him if you keep being mean to my main man like that..." you took a quick glance at jude, gauging his reaction.
"maybe you should ask him to take you to the restaurant that your boyfriend got you for tonight, if he'd do a better job than me.' he said feigning offence.
"mmhh you're right, i'll ask him when i see him..." you ducked jude's smack that was aimed at the back of your head and started to run away.
"my media duties are calling sorry." you ran off before jude could make you regret your words, only turning around to stick your tongue at him like a kid.
jude walked towards mclaren's motorhome to wait for you when someone started walking side by side with him.
"how long have you two been together ?"
he looked at the origin of the voice only to find jenson button.
"um, it'll be one year in december. are you planning on stealing her from me before that?" he joked with jenson.
"i don't think i could steal her from you even if i wanted to from the way she looks at you, you two are lovely. see you tomorrow mate" he patted jude's back before going his own way.
when you joined jude at mclaren's hospitality, he had a big smile attached to his face.
"what happened to you ? are you texting your other girlfriend ?" you asked, sitting down next to him
"i'm just proud of you." he wrapped his arm around your shoulders, kissing the side of your head.
he liked the fact that his little encounter would remain a secret between him and your first crush.

Not sure if you can answer this but do you have any art tips or resources for artists who want to improve?
I really love your compositions, color choices, and the way you draw fabric. I been feeling a bit discouraged with my art whenever I try to get out of my comfort zone and I want to know what worked for you in your art journey
Hello! I really appreciate that you love my work <3
When it comes to improving your art, I always recommend observational drawing cause it's the thing that helped me improve the most. Going out of your way to study anatomy, artists you enjoy, and doing research for references will train you to be more mindful of the choices you make in your designs. Referencing is never cheating imo. The more comfortable you get with it, the better your work will be.
Don't be discouraged cause I'm also in a huge slump, and making art is always gonna be difficult. It's best to just have fun and keep going!

I AM HERE (also thanks youuuuu)
AHEM okay, let me think for a sec....
Line of action. You might have heard of it, but the best way I can describe it is- well in the name! It's great for helping with poses n'stuff, the best way I can describe it is using some pictures below
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
See how all the characters seem to follow in the shape of the line? That's basically what the line of action is! It's sort step one before you get into the blocking and details of sketching. It helps add fluidity. Of course this isn't to say you have to use the line of action all the time, but it's really handy when trying to draw something and you don't know where to start!
You also can use the line of action for limbs! Not everything is a straight line when building a skeleton/base. I wish I would've known this earlier, because almost allll of my how to draw books would have everything be perfectly straight, and while some poses and stuff require it, yes, it tends to make poses rather stiff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SKETCH LIGHTLY! This is mostly for traditional, but I find sketching lightly makes it easier to erase, as well as making the final drawing clearer. Also, sketch loosely! The random strands and sketches can help add some extra details and ideas as you work on the fianl peice, if you want.
I might get swarmed for this take, but I really don't think you need that deep of an understanding of anatomy. Now, you should still study and reference it, but I don't think you need to be able to name every bone or muscle in the body if you dont want to. Just have a basic understanding of it! It's good to know what areas can twist and bend, and knowing what's attached to what, and how it affects the pose. One thing that helps is 3D rigging videos. Here's one that explains it perfectly in a matter of seconds, and introduces so.ething called "skeleton hierarchy" or just hierarchy
Get out of your comfort zone!! It's scary yes, and 9 times out of 10, it's not gonna look good at a first attempt! BUT YOU GOTTA DO IT MAN ITS THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE!!
Thats all I've got!! I'm really tired because I got back from a family trip, but if you have anymore specific questions feel free to ask!

do you have any advice for getting better at writing? More specifically, any books, lectures, or talks about writing that you would recommend?
i know i'm not gonna be able to give a super satisfying answer here because i don't really read/watch much on the topic of getting better at writing. the most important book in my early development as a writer was Stephen King's On Writing, which does a very good job distilling the essence of the job to certain tools in a toolkit and helped me come to terms with how disposable a lot of my writing is. i recently picked up Steering the Craft by Ursula K Leguin, because i read Left Hand of Darkness for the first time and it rewired my brain. i haven't spent much time with it because it's meant to be an exercise book that you write along with, but i feel it will be useful.
otherwise, i know from experience and from the mouths of many other writers that the only way to get better at writing is to write more. a big part of my early development came from a desire to always push myself with each project. if i detected a weakness in one story, i wanted my next thing to be about that weakness in some way. i pushed myself to write more dialect, to switch tenses and persons, to go out of my comfort zone and write from the perspective of (GASP) a woman. things of this nature. much of what resulted from those exercises was not particularly good, but that's not really the point. you do the best you can in the moment, but never let yourself feel wholly satisfied. there are always improvements to be made, new ideas to explore, more diverse modes of expression to play with.
i'd say the best thing you can do when looking for writing advice is to look to the writers whose stuff you like. i guarantee anyone who's been published will have a talk available on youtube somewhere. in the past i've gone ga-ga for the lectures of Neil Gaiman and China Mieville, because i like their books and wanted to know how that sausage got made. understanding other people's process is a good way to understand your own. pay attention to things you identify with, but pay especial attention to the things you feel a natural disagreement with. a procedural thing, say, that just doesn't make sense to you. a BIG part of becoming a better writer, in the "maintaining a self-confidence equilibrium" sense, is recognizing what parts of the process are yours. whatever it is the comes naturally to you, that draws you in, you'll invariably have strong opinions about that someone in some writing institution or other would tut-tut at. i find it's very difficult to really take something worthwhile from criticism unless you know what you're about on some level. i have a pretty good sense at this point of my strengths and weaknesses as a writer; i know the difference between a qualitative misstep and a choice that won't resonate with every reader.
it helps if you can find some like-minded people to write with in a low-stakes environment. or maybe not low-stakes! the only read i ever finished my first novel was because i was writing towards a contest deadline. deadlines can be good! but sharing stories around with some friends and giving each other feedback is a great way to build up some confidence. collaborating on a shared world or story can be immensely rewarding, as long as you don't go into it expecting to make money or get famous. don't put pressure on yourself to Make A Real Thing On A Schedule unless you really trust the people you're working with and have had a lot of conversations about professional conduct.
but otherwise, it all comes back to write more. don't be afraid to leave a graveyard behind you of countless unfinished works. the vast majority of things i started writing from when i was 14 to like 25 i never finished, then i finished a book and almost never wrote again. it's all part of the process, and it's not linear or obvious in any meaningful way. the trickiest part, for me, is learning how to write for your current project even when you don't feel the ~passion~ and ~inspiration~. and that's just a matter of time and honesty and elbow grease.
all any writer can ever tell you is how *they* write. they can give you signposts and guides and best practices, but ultimately no one will ever be able to teach *you* how to write for *yourself*. that only comes with practice. but it's doable and very worth the doing, in my opinion

hi hun i hope you're doing well :)
may i request levi x fem reader with mikasa and eren relationship but the reader is his quiet assistant who's always besides him
please take your time (>3(*_*) ♡
a/n; my love!! this is such a good idea, considering i love eren and mikasa's dynamic (+ their tragic love story gets me every time T.T) and applying it to levi's relationship is interesting to imagine. so sorry this took forever for me to come out with this, uni and the hells of adulting has been kicking my ass lately – but it's so good to be back!! i hope you enjoy <3
*side note; i'm gonna do this in hc format since i'm not too sure how to create a fic out of this if you don't mind. i put my little twist on this too ><*
---
Okay for one, Levi is VERY protective of you, in and out of the office. Doesn't matter the time of day, if something is wrong, he knows exactly where to be at the right time.
Anyone giving you a hard time about your quiet demeanor during a meeting? He's quick to speak on your behalf knowing how hard it can be for you to voice out your opinions/thoughts.
But it's not to say that he tries to encourage you to get out of your comfort zone a bit in his own, uniquely levi way. He'll give you a reassuring squeeze of your hand when you find yourself choking up during a discussion or give you a gentle pep talk behind closed doors when you find yourself curled up on his lap during after hours.
"It's okay to speak up about how you feel, you do know that right Y/n?" he whispers with a tender caress of his hand against your cheek down to your jaw.
You nod against him, tracing patterns in the hardness of his defined pectoral, voice slightly muffled but coherent, "Yeah, it's just... hard sometimes and i feel like i shouldn't even be a higher up if i can't do these simple things."
It was frustrating for you at times, but Levi always remained patient.
Tilting your chin up with two of his fingers, he keeps his gaze firm as he his eyes bored into yours, "Don't beat yourself up too much over it okay? It's not something that you can just fix overnight, it takes time and that's okay. I'm right by your side always and I'm so damn proud of how far you've come."
You felt yourself smile and ease at the thought that perhaps, it wasn't all bad. It was going to be okay.
And just as Levi thought, you improved immensely with your confidence that you'd even catch yourself off guard with how surprising it was
Hell, it even got to a point of you defending Levi in every verbal disagreement you'd find yourselves in.
"Don't speak so lowly to Levi like that. Know your place." you say with a dark frown that drew upon your face.
Levi on the other hand, was utterly speechless to see how much you've changed within the span of a few months and he was more than happy to welcome this new side of you.
'That's my girl,' Levi thought to himself as you regarded him with that sweet, sweet smile that melted him into a puddle every time.
You were his precious gem that he would protect, always.

For the Writblr Ask Game: 5, 7 and 13 💕
Please and thank you
End of the year writeblr ask game
Hello 👋 and thank you for the questions ✨!
5) What is your favorite book/story/poem you read this year?
Lauren Groff's Matrix! I don't know if it's my favorite, but it's certainly one of the best things I've read this year. (I don't rate books 5 stars on Goodreads that often).
It has medieval women in all sort of roles: nuns, administrators, visionaries, artists, queens, warriors... Women building their own community and being self-sufficient. A narrative with sorority at its core. And gorgeous writing to boot.
7) What are three songs you put on your WIP-playlist this year?
I tend to associate my characters with Florence and the machine songs and this year was no exception.
First: Seven Devils. My characters aren't usually people you would want to cross, but it especially reminds me of my Shadow and Bone OC, Marya. She can be ruthless and is a fearsome presence on the battlefield.
"Holy water cannot help you now / Thousand armies couldn't keep me out / I don't want your money / I don't want your crown / See, I've come to burn your kingdom down."
Next is Only if for a night. Ismene, the protagonist of one of my WIPs, has just lost her mother. This song about being visited in a dream by a dead relative was perfect.
"And the only solution was to stand and fight / And my body was bruised and I was set alight / But you came over me like some holy rite /And although I was burning, you're the only light."
Last is Shake it Out. I associate it with another of my characters who lost herself, hit rock bottom, but is determined to find her way in spite of her suffering.
"All of his questions, such a mournful sound /Tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the ground /'Cause I like to keep my issues drawn /But it's always darkest before the dawn"
13) How did you change as a writer?
I learned many positive things and I improved my writing, but one thing I've learned was to handle disappointement.
In January, I posted my Fire Emblem Three Houses fanfic on AO3. I put a lot of work in it. It's a novel-length story, I created 4 OCs, with their backstories, their personalities... Since this game has a lot of dead or invisible mothers, I gave them a face and a story. I expanded on some of the game's lore.
And clearly, I was disappointed by the relative lack of interactions. I'm not writing for clout, but I'm also posting my stories in the hope of connecting with other people. But that wasn't really the case on AO3. I had to wait 8 months before getting my first comment.
Of course, it still had some interactions, so I don't want to sound ungrateful. I don't want to be internet famous (especially since there are cases of harassment against authors in this fandom). But the thing is that I hoped for...more. And it felt like screaming in the void, especially after having put all this work.
Then, I published my Shadow and Bone fanfic and the response was very different and heartwarming. This made me realize that the problem wasn't probably with my writing or storytelling, but mainly with the fandom. This fandom doesn't seem to want what I have to offer (I wish people would step out their comfort zone and stop being this wary of OCs. Maybe I will elaborate on this later).
Furthermore, the people who read this story enjoyed it. And I had fun writing it. So I chose to focus on the positive side of this experience and I will keep writing about my characters because I believe in their potential.

Hi. I requested the Stolitz drag story and the way you wrote it was absolutely perfect, thank you so very much. I would love to see the second half to the date whenever you have the time, I hope you have a good night.
Thanks for being patient. Here's part 2.
The gates to the palace opened and Blitz's van came through. He parked in front of the steps and got out. He'd changed into more casual, comfy clothes, sporting sweat pants and his favorite hoodie. He didn't bother knocking, just opening the door and headed towards the living room where he could hear Stolas fiddling with the TV. He popped his head in to see the owl demon in his robe, already relaxed on the couch. He hadn't noticed Blitz yet.
"Now, what channel was that show on again? The episode will be starting soon."
Blitz smiled and entered the room fully.
"You passed it, go back two channels."
Stolas jumped when Blitz spoke, making an odd and silly surprised bird sound, which made Blitz nearly double over in laughter.
"Blitzy, you startled me!'
Hearing that made Blitz pause for a moment. This confused Stolas.
"Blitz? Are you okay?"
"Yeah...yeah, I'm fine. It's just... that's the first time you've called me 'Blitzy' since the Ozzie's incident."
Stolas felt a pang in his chest. He reached out to Blitz, who walked over and sat beside him, allowing Stolas to wrap an arm around him.
"I'm sorry. If you don't want me to call you that anymore..."
"NO! No... it's not that. I never minded you calling me that. I just... thought you didn't want to use it anymore. Since you hadn't in a while."
"I just thought...while we weren't really talking, it would make you uncomfortable, so I stopped. But now that we're trying again, I felt it would be okay to bring back."
Blitz smiled at Stolas, allowing himself to rest against the taller demon.
"Yeah, it's okay. At least when it's just the two of us."
"I'm glad... Blitzy."
The two got comfortable again, cuddling together on the couch. Stolas turned to the correct channel just in time for their show to start. Blitz zoned out a bit, letting his hand run through Stolas' chest feathers. He'd almost forgotten how warm and soft they were. Stolas gave off a lot of body heat in general.
"Blitz? Are you awake?"
The imp popped his head up when Stolas spoke again.
"Yeah, I'm here. Sorry, I guess I was just... thinking."
"About?"
"About...how much I've missed you..."
Stolas was surprised by this. He turned down the volume of the TV and looked at Blitz, giving his full attention.
"You've missed me?"
"Yeah, I have. And I guess...I didn't realize just how much until now."
He curled himself more around Stolas, holding onto the owl demon for dear life. Stolas wrapped his arms fully around Blitz, making the smaller demon feel protected and warm.
"Fuck Stolas...I really am stupid."
"Why do you say that?'
"Because I almost let you go."
Blitz took a few deep breaths, trying hard not to cry. Stolas lifted Blitz's head to look at him.
"I believe...we are both rather stupid in that regard. Because I almost let you go too."
They stared at each other for a long minute before Blitz moved, closing the gap between them and kissing Stolas tenderly. They kissed for a few minutes before coming up for air. Blitz pressed his forehead against Stolas'.
"I hope you realize I suck at this. I'm not...good at sharing my feelings. I'm working on it, I promise but... please be patient with me."
Stolas smiled, nuzzling against Blitz.
"I will, darling. I also have some... emotional difficulties I'm attempting to improve on. I suppose, we'll just have to take things slow."
"Slow huh? Yeah, I can work with that."
The two shared a warm smile, and another kiss, before returning to their cuddling position and tuning back into the TV, just in time to watch a girl kick her mother in law to be out of her dress appointment for a reason they didn't know. They both laughed. Blitz rolled his eyes and looked back at Stolas.
"We're gonna have to rewatch the episode later to get anything that's happening, aren't we?"
"Mostly likely, but I don't mind. This is...nice."
"Yeah...it really is..."
The two fell into a comfortable silence, simply enjoying each other's presence. Blitz continued to mindlessly run his fingers through Stolas' feathers, which felt lovely to the owl demon. If this is what taking things slow meant, the two demons could agree they were just fine with it.

I love you chickens and offer two of my own. Do you have any advice on how to improve my backgrounds? I have a lot of trouble with flowers and other plants, like the purple hyacinths in the first drawings?
all your BAWKtobers are so cute I love them
!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you are enjoying BAWKtober! It is the highlight of my year. And my goodness, these are lovely! Your choice of colors are so nice to look at, they feel like a soft place to rest your eyes.
Honestly, backgrounds have always been something I myself struggle with, and I don't know if that makes me more or less qualified to offer advice, but I can pass on what I have found helpful for myself.
1.) Start with something you LOVE. Trying to draw something you struggle with can already flick the little task avoidant I Do Not Want To Do This switch in your brain, so we are going to stack as many positives against it as we can in an effort to get our mindset as far away from This Sucks and I'm Not Doing It zone as we can, so: Start with something you love.
Are you passionate about nature and plants? Start practicing with nature backgrounds. Fascinated by roman architecture? We're gonna get drawing those pillars. Have a bunch of OCs that live in a fantasy setting and desperately want to be able to draw them interacting with the places you've imagined in your head? Get ready to get worldbuilding. If it's a subject you are already interested in it is going to feel significantly less like pulling teeth at the start than if you are stuck doing Boring Square House In 2 Point Linear Perspective (unless you love Boring Square House in 2 Point Linear Perspective, in which case, follow your heart).
I do this a lot with my BAWKtober drawings. I love drawing chickens and want to be able to have them interact in fun environments. The Chickens Part of the drawing are easy and familiar for me. It's something my brain is comfortable with. So I use it as a bit of a mental touchstone to keep myself skirting just shy of the This Sucks edge long enough to stay motivated on the background part of it.
Find your "Chickens."
2.) SIMPLIFY! Even complicated things are just many big and small shapes. Learn to break things down into their most basic shapes and use those as the building blocks to map out your background. Everything is Shape. Think Shape.
You don't have to get hung up on finer details right now. Those can come later. I did this with the rows of wheat field in my Harvest Moon prompt. Envisioned them as large blocks laid out next to each other. I mapped out shadows by darkening the sides away from the source of light (Big Ol' Moon Circle),
Tumblr media
And after i got that base work i built off it with details (notice how you can still picture those shapes underneath it all). While this is by no means a Complicated background, the general method works for more intricate things too.
Tumblr media
It's also helpful when trying to map out lights and darks. I do this a lot when I am trying to get a sense of depth and shadows for an environment:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Start with the really basic shapes. I like to imagine the background, middle ground, and foreground are all on different layers stacked atop each other facing the viewer (think those cut paper shadow boxes).
GENERALLY speaking, you are gonna have things closest to you be darker and more vibrant colored, and objects in the distance will be lighter and less saturated as they fade into the atmosphere. There are of course instances where this is not the case ( a background of a dense jungle or mouth of a cave may do the reverse, getting darker and darker the deeper you go, to show the lack of light and shadows that grow the further you venture from light) but it is a good rule of thumb when starting out, especially with landscapes.
Tumblr media
Once you have that figured out, you can start slapping down more details~
3.) REFERENCES! I know everyone and their mother says this but it's true. The human eye and memory can be so, so faulty when trying to think back on how something looks. You might THINK you know, but when you try to sit down and draw it you sit there and have a 10min existential crisis (If you don't believe me, just try to draw a bicycle completely from memory. It's miserable).
So look at real things! Pay attention to the way your fav walking path curves over the hill on your walk home. Make note of how the distant skyscrapers on the outskirt of town fade into the soft pinks of the sunset much more the the stark, towering ones right outside your window. Look at cars and bushes spaced out in your local wal mart parking lot, take pictures of the flowers in your grandmother's window box. What's the simplest shape they can be broken down to and still be recognized? You are training your eye to see things in a new way and help you get good at positioning them in 3d space. Eventually, you will get better at this and won't need to reference things as often (but you always CAN. References are your friends!)
4.) Lastly, JUST DO IT!!!
JUST DO IT OH MY GOD JUST DO IT! JUST DRAW tHE BACKGROUND. I know, i know! It sucks and it's hard and it's not as fun as drawing the characters that you love and it might look bad at first but jUST DRAW IT BAD.
In the past i've spent so much time getting in my own damn way because I somehow get it in my head that there's some hidden knowledge or information or tutorial that i am missing, and if i wait until i Learn It i will finally understand the thing and Then i can go about learning it the "right way." Which is a wonderful way of shooting yourself in the foot before you even take a step.
It's really easy to get bogged down in the mindset of "i'm not good at this right now, so i have to wait til i Get Better so i can do it right" and this is Lies. This is the devil on your shoulder talking. This is the mind killer, and it is also a paradox. You want to get better at The Thing before you Do It, but you have to Do It to get Get Better. So you just do Nothing and then you feel bad 'cause you haven't moved anywhere.
So, just start trying. Pick something you love and let that carry you through the hard parts of the learning. Try not to care so much about how it looks at first. You are learning a new language, a visual one. If you get frustrated take a step back, or try drawing something else. Keep it simple, at least at first. And if you feel discouraged, remember i recently had a 10min existential crisis when i realized i couldn't remember how to draw an egg carton, which I see and hold in my hands every single day.
TL;DR DRAW IT BAD, BUT DRAW IT!

Benefits To Writing Fanfiction
There are a lot of people out there who find fanfiction to be weird. There are also a lot of people out there who are ashamed to admit they write fanfiction. Well, today I hope I can break down that wall a bit and show everyone that writing fanfiction is not only a legitimate form of writing but also a beneficial one!
I write a lot of fanfiction - I'll admit it. Maybe one day y'all will figure out what my AO3 account is, maybe not. And yes, I am a hardcore fan of AO3 it's the best fanfiction sharing website out there, no doubt. If you disagree I'm sorry for your loss. But, yeah. I write a lot of fanfiction and read a lot of fanfiction and honestly? I think I've grown a LOT as a writer since then. Here's why.
It helps you explore new genres
As a writer I find it hard to step out of my comfort zone when writing. Does anyone else feel the same? Well, regardless of if you do or don't, since writing fanfiction I've found myself writing genres I wouldn't have even considered writing before. I think this is mainly because I'm usually taking already existing universes and expanding on them with my own ideas. Some of the work is already done for me, which makes me feel more comfortable putting my feet in the door of this new genre. It doesn't seem as scary - and in turn it's a lot more fun.
Often authors are scared to try something new in fear of messing up, but with fanfiction you already have something to work with that's not just a rough idea for a story, and all you have to do is test the waters. This makes the fear of writing in that genre with your own idea a lot less scarier later down the line.
Gaining Experience From Having Your Work Read
Without fanfiction I doubt I would have had many people read my work. Some of my friends have read my original stories - and also my fanfiction - and some of my family has read it as well, but other than that nobody that I know personally has read my work. Then I started writing fanfiction.
My writing was mostly trashy at first, not gonna lie. When I started posting my fanfiction online it was actually on Wattpad and I've grown tremendously as a writer since then. Without the constant feedback and validation from everyone who had read, commented on and liked my stories I don't know where I would be as a writer today. I've grown so much because of my fandoms, and now I'd like to say I'm pretty good at writing.
Borrowing Others Ideas
I think, one of my favorite things about fanfiction, is that you have so many different worlds to borrow from. If you like a character you can write about them. If you want to see your favorite characters in a different world you can do that. You get to test so many different things out and you can really improve your weak spots as a writer or just have fun with your strengths.
Because you don't have to come up with every little thing as a writer, you really just get to have fun with pre-made elements. And you also really grow from this too. You're studying already made storylines, worlds, and characters. And, if you're anything like me, this might cause you to think about your own story and how to develop it more. So really, learning more about characters like Luz Noceda from The Owl House or Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson on such an intimate level can help you develop your own characters and see where they're lacking. The same goes for world building and plot lines.
Rebooting Your Love Of Writing
How many of your write every day. Or every week or month etc...
Me neither. Before really getting into fanfiction I would write maybe once every six months. It can be draining, especially when you don't know what you're doing. But once I started writing fanfiction - lots of it, I started writing at least once a week. And now I write almost every day! And I'm writing for myself most of the time, but the love and validation from the people who read and comment and like my work can really keep me motivated too. When they have ideas and I know they're wrong, or are just surprised by a twist or maybe mad at something that happened. Any and all feedback really keeps me going.
And a lot of the time, when I'm tired of writing fanfiction...
Well, then I get motivated to work on my original pieces.
Practice! Practice! Practice!
Writing fanfiction is just a great way to practice your own writing skills, all in all. And even if you aren't working on any of your own original ideas, or you don't have any at all, fanfiction is still a great way to write and keep in touch with your creative side. Because, at the end of the day, fanfiction is a form of writing, and there is no wrong way to write.
So never be ashamed to write fanfiction, guys. It's honestly such a great thing and fanfiction writers should be respected everywhere!

Stockton Rush's natal chart
& Forensic astrology reading
Tumblr media
So for me, it's still not clear what happened on that submarine. I'm curious what was going on with stockton rush, since he was the pilot at the time.
Let's take a look at his natal chart and the day of death. If you wanna see my interpretation of what happened in general that day, check out my most recent posts.
Tumblr media
Stockton rush is the outter wheel and day of, is the inner wheel.
Tumblr media
His natal chart above, no time of birth.
What's crazy is the ascendant was on his north node, this would of made him basically "more visible, famous, relevant" in the people's eyes, which it did but he would of loved that tbh. He was super passionate about what he does and he did mention in a oceangate introduction video about wanting to get people more engaged and the media was a way to do that.
Tumblr media
Day of chart above, time starting from lost connection of the submarine.
I think with his north node conjunct venus, asc, mars, it put his marsian/venusian traits out in the open for everyone to see. His mission/goals for oceangate was something now everyone is suddenly interested in and tbh he prob created the new wave of interest that will be what's to come in new and improved submersibles for the future. Unfortunately people are gonna piggy back from his ideas and you know the rest.. but if it's for the good of us all I guess he did do something positive and helped other learn from his mistake.
Mars=Bold, aggressive, impulsive, risky behavior, passionate, selfish.
Venus=Money, material things, high quality things/experiences.
He wanted the submarine to feel nice, look nice, be aesthetically pleasing in every way, so his focus was a lot on what it would feel like as a random passanger to sit inside and have that titanic tour experience. Venus is about, smell, feel, quality, looks, prob even efficient function too. Since venus is also a ruler of libra there was a level of wanting to make things accessible and in a way it's balanced to everyone.
Natal moon/saturn transitting into the 7th house:
Possibly that his comfort zone was not what he wanted. Maybe he could of been very attached to a certain way of doing things but unfortunately he realizes that he had to compromise some things. He had the right intentions, he wasn't trying to just break the rules and disregard the life/safety of others. Atleast he didn't do that knowingly. He was learning how to be more thoughtful of others and their concerns. He could of also been attached to his own ways, and being weighed down by demands of others.
Healing is a process
Natal jupiter transiting into the 8th house:
Wow... I got the goosebumps with this transit right here
It's basically describing the nature in which he passed away. Traveling/exploring to a far, unfamiliar distance. Jupiter is a teacher in a way, it provides us with new experiences, curiosity, chances to learn from our past, to become wiser people. It also describes far away/foreign place/distances, unlike it's sister sign gemini which represents short distances. It could describe a prolonged death, feeling/being aware of everything deeply. I don't trust anyone who says "oh they had a 100% painless death." We are living breathing humans who hurt even by a tiny cough or scratch, so you're telling me someone didn't even have time to panick about what was about to happen? Of course they felt something. I feel like they had enough time to know their fate, if they ended up making it alive I bet they would of had a crazy ass story to tell..
Jupiter in the 8th house is said to give individuals a long life, so that's what makes me think it wasn't as quick as everyone said.
Tumblr media
You would think that the 8th house is overused in astrology as the "scary house of death" I heard some astrologers say things like that and they call it "doom astrology" where people focus on the most negative or dramatic sides of astrology but, tbh the 8th house is plain and simple. It is what is is and it def represents death in all the charts that I've seen so far, whether saturn is in the 8th, on the sun, etc, it gives us a picture of what way the 8th house played out. And no it doesn't always mean death. But in this case it does. You have to look at everything involved.
His natal sun/mc transiting in the 9th house:
He was definitely trying to perfect his craft at this time, sun and mc are the most "visible" planets to the public along with North node. So maybe this could explain what we all are finding out about him now and his own exploration of life itself. He had the intention to learn for the time being, he was focused on being well informed, even if that means he's the 1st one to risk his life doing so. Bc the 9th house is sometimes a lonely house imo. They don't ask for help, they don't often look to others for guidance, they don't, not feel pain in the process of figuring these things out, they find out everything by their own experiences. I'm sure he didn't expect to pass away so maybe he thought something else was going on with the titan sub and not that it was in the verge of imploding.
Tumblr media
Natal chart 👈 👉 day of chart, transit synastry.
Natal mercury conjunct transit neptune:
He was extremely sensitive, he could feel, hear every single thing that happened, good or bad.. and he felt it deeply. I feel like neptune mercury transits could also make you more idealistic than usual, not focusing on the the little practical details. He was feeling creative at this time.
Natal jupiter conjunct transit saturn:
I wish I knew what house he had jupiter in bc that would make this so much more accurate but,
Tumblr media
Day of chart planet houses, above.
Saturn is in the 7th house, maybe he felt somewhat trapped in his relationships with people and not only that but in his creative endeavers and interests, with saturn there restricting him. Jupiter wants to expand is arms, legs, mind to as much as it possibly can bc it's all about freedom, expansion, knowledge. You can't obtain knowledge being in the same small square box with no new information/feedback, space to experience. Jupiter on saturn could feel very limiting for someone who values those things.
Maybe he felt like people were telling him what he could and couldn't do but he wanted to find that out and verify it for himself, that's how you truly learn something deeply.
Mercury square sun:
He was kind of out of it mentally imo, he was stretching himself out too thin. Maybe a lot of things needed his attention but things just didn't come out clearly enough. He was making lots of little mistakes that possibly triggered his ego, I had the same transit since I'm a pisces mercury, at the beginning of gemini season. Like my mind, brain, hands were clumsy and not doing what I wanted them to do, dropping/tripping on things and it was obvious the little mistakes I made if I was in anyone's visibility. My thoughts were everywhere pretty much
Natal pluto opposition transit saturn:
So his pluto was transiting into the 2nd house.
I feel like stockton wanted to find security in a way, he wanted to understand something in depth but also it could of been a lot about money. I think in his mind his motivation was to create something so helpful/useful that he just knew it would ultimately be making him a lot of money and he would be the 1st person who lead/created this opportunity for everyone. He wanted to be stable, reliable, financially well off.
I heard from people who knew him that he wanted to be as successful and as influential as elon musk or Jeff bezos but for underwater expeditions.. unfortunately, he will never get to do that. This placement describes this exactly
He prob also felt pressure from restrictions of what you can and can't do with the "submarine community" (if that's what it's called idk), such as their standards and requirements to be certified to dive with tourists. It's like he felt he couldn't do what he wanted to do, he couldn't fulfill his dream. That would lead to frustration and powerlessness.
I just realized I have this transit too, my natal pluto is transitting in the 2nd house and it's been there for months now.. it's a time your finances probably aren't doing so well, it messes with your security, confidence and everything you thought you knew before. For ex I was secure in my ability to predict things but ever since this transit, it's like slowly everything I learned started deteriorating along with my confidence. Once you lose confidence in yourself/abilities, it's as if everything else gets lost with it.
His natal Saturn opposite transit venus:
Venus was in the 12th house.
Things weren't going according to plan, it's like you think you do everything right, going back fixing things and only for it to continue malfunctioning.
Venus would be the submarine in my eyes bc it was pretty much a luxury experience, and it had to do with money, the money he spent on it to look/function the way it does and the 12th house is obviously a water vehicle. If it was in the 3rd house then that would be a car.
I feel like his intention to create a easy, simple, comforting submarine experience wasn't working out like he thought. He planned everything, he worked hard on it, he even did his best to limit his own far fetched ideas so that this could actually work out well but that didn't work either. So he tried everything, from being more responsible, being miserly, being less idealistic and trying to be more practical/functional.
I remember him saying that most submarines now have lots of controls and bulk, he wanted his sub to be simple and easy to control. All the titan submarine had was one single button, 3 sonar/monitor screens and a control. This was not the most high quality of all the submarines nor was it any where near the best, it was just a real prototype of what he hoped to make of one. He was literally trying to test things out 1st hand, something that's probably never been done before. Unfortunately others didn't know that tho.
Another thing that came in mind here since venus is about material things/money, with it opposing saturn I wonder if he was trying to save money but if must of came out in a reckless way bc opposition is something that's out of our control. So you do one thing but then do the complete opposite too if there's some trigger. What's interesting is I feel like everyone was right about how he was trying to cut the costs of the materials by a lot... in a way yes, it's more affordable but also cheaper in quality, prone to breakage. He knew what he was sacrificing, I don't get why he was so willing to risk his life in that way..
This one is a stretch but maybe he was trying to make it seem as if everything was fine when it wasn't. He knew how serious this was but when you're in the company of people who paid you well and are expecting a professional, competent pilot/safe experience overall. You don't wanna alarm anyone.. but who knows
Natal saturn opposite mars in the 12th house:
So I wonder if this was the 1st time in a while that the submarine went as deep as it did bc it seems like there must of been sudden complications. Things would work out according to plan but then your efforts would be blocked/restricted out of no where.
I had this transit once, mars was opposing my natal saturn and oof. It was bad, I came up with the flu all of sudden just a week before an important event.. I thought I wouldn't make it. If anyone's ever had the flu it literally feels like death and people do die from it. You can barely move, you feel sickly, it makes you (or just me) insecure bc you can't take action or do anything, not even medicine helps. I like to constantly do things to keep myself busy but during this transit I wasn't able to do any of that.. I literally could only lay in bed, couldn't eat, could barely get up.. especially during a time where I was preparing to do something a week ahead, I felt the pressure + excited about it at 1st but then this came from no where and knocked me off my feet.. it was very frustrating
yeah so imagine how this transit showed up for stockton..you're in the middle of the ocean and you suddenly get trapped or you have some issue. The way it played out for him was, once you're that deep in the water, nothing can save you, you're really stuck, stuck. Idk if the controls gave out or the whole vessel itself stopped working, but it looks like they felt as if they were in a prison, small confined, suffocating space. Couldn't move. It makes me feel like this wasn't meant to happen, it was just the wrong place/time. And everyone says they felt no pain but idk about that👀
No where near finished with this but I'll be taking a break and adding more info to this as I go.. hope you enjoyed what's up so far and please leave a like if you wanna see more forensic astrology posts like this.
RIP Mr Stockton Rush.
I'm sorry..

Thank you @scribeoffate @rhyslahey and @slumop for tagging me as well! 🧡💕🥰
RULES:
post the top 5 works you’re most proud of that you released in 2022 (not necessarily your most popular)
your top 4 current WIPs that you’re excited to release in the new year
your top 3 biggest improvements in your writing (or art) over the past year
your top 2 resolutions (ways you wish to improve your writing/blog) for the new year
and your number 1 favorite line you’ve written this year!
----------
Top 5 works I'm proud of: one of my top 5 is currently a wip. The rest:
fire close to the heart (platonic sciles)  I just liked that I finally made a fic where Stiles is saving Scott. (It's messy and I love it.)
Inked (Scott + Lydia, gen)  I look back at it and see i should have done some stuff differently but! Tattoos are so interesting and I wanted platonic scydia feels and I got that. I love them.
A Werewolf Heat (sciles)   this was another experiment with smut. tho I didn't go that deep into it as much as I wanted to and I keep saying I might continue it 😂 and I DO think about that. A lot. Every time I write lol. But honestly I want to do another that is so much better than that one? From my reread, it needs editing. it got way more love in kudos and in comments (in my opinion) than I expected. and I was so proud. I also love when fics talk about heats. Its werewolves! Especially with Scott! Why not take advantage of that. And I tried! 🥰
A Visit (kira pov)  I don't know why but I'm so happy about this one. It was the first time I wrote for kira. Maybe it was the first fic I did research with too (altho I kept it to teen wolf's interpretation of skin walkers mostly). This was a gift for momentofmemory 🧡
2. 4 current WIPS (many may not get posted before new year tho)
A fanart for an existing fic. I may have to redraw kira since she's very close to the frame and I want to center more attention on her too.
A fluffy Getting Together Malira fic
Fic with Rafael. I have two that I'm thinking to combine. This focused a lot on Scott too, so I'm contemplating to save it for Scott appreciation.
Sekret fic. That I hope gets finished before the year ends.
3. Three biggest improvements in writing/art
I'm getting comfortable drawing hands and bodies! (Art) I refused to draw those before.
I think my grammar is getting slightly better. Or at least, I worry about it less. Which is MAJOR for me.
the wips listed above and outside it is showing me that I am capable of indulging more. It's fanfic after all.
4. Top 2 resolutions for blog/writing?
Write more fic that goes out of my comfort zone. (Sciles is awesome and I will still write them a lot, but I want to explore different characters and other ships that I like too. Like Scisaac, Scydia, Jennifer/Kali, Malira, some POLYSHIPS, Lydia centric stuff, etc. Those are examples, and I don't promise anything.)
An art resolution would be to practice lighting and shading some more!
Im gonna skip the last question because that's hard. My favorite is in one of my WIPS.
--------
Tagging, feel free to ignore me because I don't exactly recall who did it or not 😅 (most likely everyone here lol): @scintalla @thiamsxbitch @cmnzoq @kailaris-rites @redmoonfever @momentofmemory (because everyone must tag her. It's rules. Made up by me.)

May I ask when you plan to release another fic? Even if it’s 6 months from now I will be waiting patiently and excitedly 😇 much love xx
I have two coming right around the corner buddy!
Stripper!AU is 1/3 of the way beta-read, me and @k1smet666 have been hard at work on it. Ideally we should be done in a day or two if everything goes well and Life doesn't slap either of us in the face too hard again? (I'm just poking my head out of a very VERY shitty time at work and a bout of the Spicy Sad so I'm not 100% efficient and back to normal yet, but writing and beta-ing really improves my mood and helps me find some sense of stability again). Tentative release date around christmas / somewhere in the holidays.
Then I have a secret santa I can't talk much about I believe? As per the secret nature of the event. But. Deadline on that's the 28th so it'll be out by then. It's not my typical fare at all, don't expect my usual kinky gay shit, none of that is here, but I'm enjoying the challenge and the opportunity to write outside of my comfort zone. It will likely be unbetaed because of the timed aspect of the event.
January I'll probably get into a shorter, kinky filthy pallet cleanser. Probably centered around Ifrit's boobs because I am Weak.
February is gonna be Femslash February with some ghoulette content I've started to outline for (and make myself immensely horny with).
Beyond that is Who The Fuck Knows territory because I, of course, have 5000 fic ideas but only two arms, one brain, and a limit of 24h/day XD
Thank you for your enthusiasm anon, and for your patience! ❤️

Random ask but how would you describe your style? Are you into fashion?
I love random asks!
I'm gonna flip the order of the questions and say that I am into fashion - like I don't go out and buy magazines or necessarily look at a piece of clothing and go "that was from the spring 1997 collection put out by [x]" but I think about it constantly - which overall styles or elements work and don't work together, what sorts of trends there are and how things have shifted (or reverted), and knowing about different designs from different eras and historical periods, and I read and look into things just because it interests me and to get a better understanding. And I've always been doing this - when I was younger I would talk with my sisters and discuss outfit pairings and critique celebrities and other fashion, and now that I'm older and more myself and more independent, obviously I think more about how I look and present myself (and how I want to present myself).
And honestly, I'm not sure how I'd describe my style, really - I was thinking about this a lot recently because I'm never sure how I come across or look, really (I asked several friends how they'd describe me and I was surprised, but in a good way). Part of the problem is I get very into the mechanics or details - does this particular top go with this particular skirt or pair of pants and this pair of shoes, or does this dress work with this necklace and scarf, etc. - and so to a certain extent I get somewhat divorced from thinking about an overall theme or set of descriptors.
But (and I almost said that my style is "professionally fun" but that makes me sound like I'm doing something I've neither the confidence nor time for) I think my style would be "generally professional but also fun", "comfortably nice in an off-kilter sort of way", "partly inspired by my favorite or most identified-with fictional characters", "21st century bureaucrat-cum-human services-cum office worker mixed with 80s guest star character"? (Feel free to send in descriptions or comments on what y'all think my style or fashion sense is because I always love to know what others think).
I don't really like to show off that much ("keeping the demilitarized zones covered" is how I describe it) really, partly because I'm not comfortable feeling so exposed so much (and I don't know that I have a lot to show off anyway) and partly because I'm a pale ass bitch with predominantly Irish ancestry and I burn like a motherfucker. I do like my legs (mostly from like the knee to the ankle) and so I don't have much of a problem showing those off too much (I'm sort of built like an upside-down bowling pin.)
I like patterns and prints and colors (partly because I spent so long mostly avoiding those and focusing on what was simple but appropriate while still being comfortable due to work, in particular animal print (so snakeskin - LOVE a snakeskin print and I wish there was more stuff with that out there, as well as crocodile print - and leopard and tiger) and paisley and houndstooth and maybe having one standout element or piece (usually the jewelry). For colors I'm all over the place but I try to avoid too much yellow or orange (I don't think it really works well with my coloring) and I go more red (and various shades) and green (etc.) and blue (etc.) and I try to avoid anything too tight or bodycon but I don't want to be completely shapeless and drab, like a Laura Transgirl Wilder/My Transtonia prairie look or The Blahb, and I hate my feet so I don't want anyone to see what they look like (hence no sandals or peeptoes really).
I'm conscious (some might say overly and concerningly away) of my flaws/"areas which could be improved" and so part of my choices are to help mitigate or deflect those, and to work with stuff that I know will be more flattering (although selfies are always a difficult thing and I don't know that I'll ever master the confident yet casual or "casual" selfie).
I don't mind being noticed but I don't really want to stand out too much, at least currently (not that it'd stop anyone).

Hey do you have any tips for drawing? Cause whilei think my art is....ok I feel like I can do better so if you have any tips to improve on ones art that would be awesome!
I know I'm late to replying sorry I didn't know what to say hvoufu
Generally when I feel like I could improve on my art there's a couple things I like to do, one of my main go to's is have fun with trying out different art styles and/or putting characters in fun poses! Sometimes a fresh look really helps me get to the next step up in my art, and don't be afraid to step out of the pose comfort zone, lots of character can come from posture, arm placement and perspective!
But for general art improvement you know there's always the classic anatomy and figure study, Line Of Action is a decent website for models for figure studying. Something that's helped me before too is to directly but loosely trace over models to get a feel for the anatomy and how it should look, then try to loosely draw it again with the image to the side as reference, then try to do it on my own. My art is pretty cartoony and I usually only do this when I feel like my anatomy looks weird, but knowing general anatomy is helpful for all art styles and is good to practice every now and then regardless
Examining art from artists you like and seeing how they draw is also helpful. But most importantly have fun with it, the drawings you enjoyed drawing are always gonna be the ones you like the most! Go with the flow and get the big picture done first, don't worry about the little details until later
Ok that's all I got, time and practice are your friends, good luck and have a lovely night 💛

What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any
I'm gonna get in trouble for this one cos i know. i KNOW this is so important but i just CANT integrate it into my routine. Its the ADHD i think, starting smth and adding it to my daily tasks is nigh impossible for me. SO... THE ANSWER IS I DONT.. NHSGDBFGFBG
Do you use different layer modes
Sometimes, though very rarely!! I only use things like multiply + add glow because those are.. 2 of 4 layer modes i actually understand. I havent bothered to learn the rest, or commit their effects to memory.
Most of my coloring and rendering is all on one layer because it's fun and easy for me. Feels like I'm working traditionally when I do ^^ (i also regularly forget to just. add more layers!)
When I DO use layer modes, it's usually for when Im working on big illustrative pieces for myself.
Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with
Sometimes, but not always! Another really bad artist habit of mine is jumping right into a big commission project, or jumping right into what I wanna do and then end up surprised when it doesnt go my way asjdhdhgdg
What piece of yours do you think is underrated
Lord almighty. So many. So many. But especially these I think. The first one is DND but the response was underwhelming even on twitter, which was a shame cos its still one of my top fave pieces Ive ever done! IIRC this piece is from 2020, it was the first time I tried a hard light effect/high contrast lighting and I've definitely improved plenty since this piece, it was my first step to getting little out of my comfort zone and trying new things.

The next would have to be this piece I was SUPER proud of cos I had tried new things, like I was extremely happy w/drawing a full piece for myself but the response was. I don't remember much if any. BUT that wont stop me from loving how this came out. Gigi looks so serene here and I couldn't be happier! TW for blood + death, thought the first pic makes me think of cotton candy w/the colors askdjhdhgd

Thirdly, a piece that blew up on twitter but got an underwhelming response here Where I Post Fantrolls. TW for blood + strangulation under the cut. It's a Chrona flshback I was really excited to reveal, it's the reason he has as many tattoos as he does (': Given the TWs i DO understand why it didnt go around though.
