a headcanon I just realized I have is that Light often has a lot of trouble living in the present moment and L often has a lot of trouble NOT living in the present moment. Light is a huge planner and forward thinker and accustomed to grinding through unpleasant current circumstances in order to achieve optimal future results. L is very keen on living for today and whatever is currently tickling his fancy and giving him the most excitement and pleasure and challenge, and prefers not to dwell heavily on the future nor the past. And I think that both of them normally feel uncomfortable and resentful if they are forced to do the opposite of what they are normally accustomed to doing.

#this kinda goes along with my headcanon that L experiences some kind of time blindness #he's not good at keeping track of time because he's always getting lost in the sauce with his various interests #/ he doesn't usually have to worry about being on a regular person schedule anyway #Light on the other hand keeps a strictly regimented day with every second planned in advance and accounted for and gets very irritable #If it's not #doesn't usually know what to do with himself if he's just made to sit there and chill #Can't imagine not thinking ahead to the consequences of most choices whereas L finds that something he'll worry about later maybe #And can't imagine being so organized about things and finds it depressing/boring to plan that far ahead #they might bicker about it but also find things to admire and appreciate about each other's different outlooks on this #light yagami #l lawliet #lawlight #headcanon #p

I’m looking into Halloween products now! I know it’s still a ways away to be thinking about but I was thinking of doing a mystery box like last year. I was also considering having a Halloween edition of our Mystery Scoop.

If I’m being honest, I’m still learning a lot. And the last couple mystery boxes we did, I’ve ended up holding a lot of stock because I ordered too much because I didn’t want them to sell out on anyone. But the problem is now we’re sitting on that stock. I’d like to try and plan better. Letting us know you’re interested doesn’t mean we expect you to purchase. We know things change. It’s just to give me a rough estimate.

16. what do other characters think about their relationship?

tbh they don't really...mind. they're kind of weirded out by it. some have homophobic ideology, but it's just slight ignorance. they can see how they are with each other and how they move and flow together so well. they're made for each other, and i think the only thing the other characters would think was weird is Light not seeming like L except for when he's around him, and he lets his pettiness and bitchiness and hot headness out. They always say Light as a level headed guy that could calmly talk his way into anything, he's quiet and nondescript while still somehow taking charge but you dont know it. but when he's around L, the characters notice a shift, Light acts like he is comfortable in his own skin and he's not putting on an act. He's loud and in L's face and he's bitching at him and just everyone sees that that is the real Light. they dont mind their relationship, honestly they probably expected it at some point, but they have their moments.

17. describe a really fluffy scene

hmm well let me just say a scene that I think about sometimes. uh, during yotsuba arc Light and L are sitting across from each other, eating breakfast. It's a really early morning at the task force, L making everyone come in earlier than normal and dragging Light, in handcuffs, in with him. Now coming in early is rewarded with breakfast. so they, the taskforce agents, are all sitting groggily next to one another. Light and L however are off in their own world at the desk the two always reserve for just them, while the agents get the couches. They're chatting and chatting away, at first about the case, then kira, then they bicker about morality, but eventually they just start talking about random things. The card game they were playing last night, the show Light watches while L pretends to work on his laptop, misa being bothersome to them. they tell each other jokes, and seemingly, to the agents, have inside jokes too that go over their head. they laugh and are having fun together, despite every one of the agents thinking the cuff around Light's wrist makes him hate L and makes him miserable, he doesn't even seem to notice it. he extends his arm to accommodate the length, he doesn't react to it hitting the tile, he doesn't mind being attached to L. and even tho Light is just as tired as the rest of the people who need a regular amount of sleep and are annoyed about having to get up at 4am, he still doesn't mind because he's talking to L and eating breakfast and watching L tie cherry stems into knots and trying to do it himself. they whisper to each other and laugh and have normal conversations. they touch knees and let their knuckles brush against one another, their chairs are closer than necessary, closer than professional. they look at each other a certain way and no one knows why.

18. describe a really angsty scene

oh boy. this is not my forte. angst is not my scene. uhh, this is gonna be gay. okay, so L has this favorite song. Light didn't know it when L first played it for him. it's an old opera song, in a different language but Light never figured out which language. L only showed it to him because Light was complaining about the silence in their room and how he could only hear L's breathing and it was annoying. But after L died, after Light ordered for him to die, Light would catch himself humming it, the way L sometimes would when he was stirring his tea. sometimes it only bothered Light a little, maybe a moments pause, a gentle heart skip, it only registered a little that he was humming it, that L was dead. Other times, it really bothered him. He'd be stirring his own coffee and realize he was humming it and completely freeze. Holding his breath. eyelids closed because there's tears in his eyes and he can hear misa's music as she takes a shower, he can hear the water, the news, the ac, but he can't hear L's breathing anymore.
