How about strawhats with a reader who didn’t realise they ate a devil fruit, and they and the crew only realise when either they discover their ability or they start to drown when they accidentally fall (or get thrown by an enemy) overboard? (Tried to leave the devil fruit ability either up to you, or have the ask in a way that you didn’t have to create a devil fruit 😅)
I finally found a way to work this old ask into a request! Sorry to whoever sent it in originally, I just could not come up with a plot for it until I got this one. Apologies for there being little to no yandere content here.

Loud growls echoed through the forest. Not the deafening roars of a predator about to rip you apart, no, but the rumbling of a deprived stomach demanding sustenance.
You really shouldn’t have taken off into the woods without grabbing a snack first, but you couldn’t help it. After days of being at sea, you were eager to explore the new island you’d stopped at. Robin said you all would need to split up to find the ruins she was looking for, so you took initiative and threw yourself into adventure the second the ship was close enough for you to be able to make the jump.
Thus far, you’d had no luck. You hadn’t even stumbled across an abandoned pathway or ancient tools. It’s hard to believe this island had ever been populated at some point. Maybe this wasn’t the right one?
At this point you weren’t even really looking for ruins, you just wanted something to eat. Unfortunately, this search was having similar results. Nothing. It appears all the fruit trees on this island are still in a flowering stage, and you didn’t know enough about foraging to be taking your chances on root vegetables in the ground. Restaurants were obviously out of the question, much to your chagrin.
There was some rustling in the tree above you. Your head snaps up to assess the situation, only for something to nail you right in the face. Your knees buckle and you fall on your ass, cradling your face after the blow.
Cracking open an eye, you try to find who just assaulted you, but you were definitely here alone. Looking at the ground, you discover what your assailant really was. A fruit.
Pain is forgotten instantly as you snatch up the strange looking fruit. It’s a light blue color and reminds you of a ball of yarn with the way the skin is textured. You have zero clue as to what kind of fruit it’s supposed to be, but as your stomach growls even louder, you can’t find it in you to care.
Using your shirt to wipe it off to the best of your ability, you take a bite as you get back on your feet. Your face scrunches up instantly. The taste… isn’t great, but it’s not the worst either. If you had to describe it you would say it tastes like an uncooked spaghetti squash. The real problem is the texture. It’s completely stringy on the inside, making you feel like you’re eating a wet clump of yarn.
But… beggars can’t be choosers. You’re starving, and you don’t want to let it go to waste either, so you power through it. As you’re choking down the last bite, a chill runs down your spine, making every nerve light up in a tingling sensation. Then, as quickly as the feeling began, it disappeared.
Weird. Whatever.
“(Y/N)! Where are you?!” Luffy’s voice cut through the thick woods.
Finally! You were starting to wonder how you’d gone so long without running into anyone else. Running towards the sound of his voice, you call back to him, “Over here!”
It’s not long before he comes into view, along with the rest of the crew. Luffy grins and runs to meet you halfway, “Why’d you run off so quick? I wanted to go with you!” He lifts you up into his arms and spins you around gleefully.
“Did you? Sorry, I thought we were all gonna split up,” you scratch at the back of your head and wonder if you misheard.
“We were, but then we found the ruins Robin was looking for straight away, so we’ve just been looking for you this whole time!”
Mortification washes over you immediately and you hang your head in shame, “You’ve got to be kidding me! I ran right past it, didn’t I?”
“You sure did! Pretty dumb, huh? Zoro didn’t even get as lost as you did!” Luffy set you down, smiling the whole time while he mocked you.
“Watch it!” You swatted at him, not that he particularly cared or even reacted to it.
“Now that you’re done being lost, we really need to get going before it gets any later,” Nami was tapping her foot impatiently, no doubt itching to find the treasure rumored to be hidden there.
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry! Let’s go!” You wanted to move on from this blunder as quickly as possible, thank you very much. There were a few chuckles from the group as you marched on ahead, but they mercifully didn’t tease you about it anymore.
“Are you hungry? You ran off before I could hand you your lunch,” Sanji sidled up next to you, offering a sweet smile while extending the masterfully packed bento towards you. The cook shot a dirty look over his shoulder to your captain, “Don’t worry, I made sure that he couldn’t get his hands on it.”
You’re sure you missed a battle of epic proportions over your unclaimed lunch. Happily taking it into your own hands, you waste no time cracking it open and digging in as you walk, “Thank you, Sanji! You’re the best!” He puffed up in pride at your compliment, assuring you that it was no problem.
It wasn’t long into the trek when you all came upon a wide but shallow river. It wasn’t so deep that you would need to swim to cross it, but it would be enough to pose a problem for your devil fruit possessing companions.
This wasn’t a big deal, everyone knew the drill. Those that couldn’t get in the water would pair off with someone who could to carry them across. Robin was perched up on one of Franky’s shoulders, much to Sanji’s heartbreak. Luffy latched onto Zoro and was telling him to hurry up and get going so they could all see the ruins.
That just left Chopper, who hurried over to you with his arms up. You were his preferred method of transportation in situations like this. Stuffing your now empty lunch box into your bag, you scoop up the reindeer and place him on your shoulders.
Without any additional fanfare, everyone starts wading through the water. At its deepest, it comes up to your waist. Trudging through waist deep water does naturally take a bit of effort, but this felt much harder than usual. Exhausting even. Your head was swimming and you didn’t even realize you’d stopped until Chopper spoke up.
“(Y/N)? Are you okay?” He leaned forward to try and see your face better, but you could hardly even register what he was saying to you, much less respond to it. Your silence must have bothered him, and he started to panic, “Guys wait! (Y/N) isn’t looking too good!”
That was the last thing you heard before collapsing into the rushing river. Logically, you knew you should be freaking out. You were underwater and had dropped Chopper in with you, you know you should be flying into action, but you weren’t. You felt listless. Like a puppet whose strings just got cut. The world around you was rapidly fading to black and you felt powerless to do anything about it.
Just before you could fully pass out, arms lock around your torso and wrench you out of the water. You coughed and gasped for breath. The relief of getting your head above water was palpable, but you still felt weak.
You were carried to the other side and gently sat down against a tree by a very concerned Sanji. His hands were clamped onto your upper arms and his eyes raked over your body looking for literally anything that could explain what just happened, “Talk to me, what’s wrong?”
Everyone else was crowding around you, too. Chopper wiggled his way to the front, fur still wet from his unplanned dive. Despite that, though, he was in doctor mode, “Give them some space, we need to figure out what happened!”
While he was checking your pulse and breathing, you found it in you to speak again, “I’m sorry about that, didn’t mean to drop you. I don’t know what came over me.”
“Were you already not feeling well? It’s not like you to just collapse like that.”
“I felt just fine until I got in the river. Did anyone else feel weird after getting in the water?” You asked. Maybe there was something in it that makes people sick?
Everyone shrugged off the question, saying that they all felt fine. Chopper wasn’t happy with the lack of any answer for why this happened. Making a quick decision, he stands up and announces that he’s going to take you back to the ship for now.
“No, I’m fine! Give me a minute, and I’ll be good to go, I swear!” You try to plead your case, but no one entertains it.
“You don’t need to force yourself to go on, I’ll help you and Chopper get back to the ship,” Sanji held out his hand to help you to your feet. Reluctantly, you accept the help and wait for him to pull.
He does, but you don’t move. Your hands are still joined together, but your arm is… oh god.
Several things happen at once. Sanji looks down and sees a bunch of blue strings connecting your now disembodied hand to the rest of your arm. Sanji screams at the sight, Chopper faints, Usopp is just straight up gone, and you feel like you’re about to throw up.
“What is wrong with your arm?!” Nami shrieks, looking about as nauseated as you felt.
“I don’t know!”
“Did you eat a devil fruit recently and not tell us?” Robin was the most outwardly calm, but was still visibly disturbed by the turn of events.
“No? How would that- Wait. Hang on. I might have,” everything suddenly clicks in your mind. The out of place fruit, the weird feeling you had after eating it, the water, and now this. You absolutely ate a devil fruit and didn’t even realize it.
“What do you mean ‘you might have’?” Everyone shouts in unison.
“Well, you see, it’s a funny story. You’re gonna laugh,” the unamused expressions on their faces told you otherwise. You continued, “While I was off on my own, I got really hungry. Then I got hit in the head by a weird fruit, so I decided to eat it.”
“You ate a random weird looking fruit and didn’t think that MAYBE you should mention that to us???” Nami looked like she wanted to throttle you right about now.
“... Yes?”
Nami exploded and started laying into you for your transgression, and you were helpless and just had to take it. Until you felt a weird tugging sensation from your arm. Looking over, you see Luffy experimentally poking his hand through your strings with a look of wonder on his face.
“Luffy, get out of there!” Sanji yells while trying to kick him away.
This devil fruit thing is going to take some getting used to.

hello fellow qsmp enjoyers!!
Today ima gonna share some cool facts about the Brazilians because I enjoyed them a lot when I was little!!
- Pac and Mike are literally so creative. They made many minecraft series such as hide n seek, try not to laugh, build battle, chume labs (awesome), in search of herobrine, herobrine the legend and many many more. They are literally so good at creating new things and make people enter the characters so well.
- In case someone doesn’t know, in a Tazercraft series, “Impossible Escape”, cellbit is one of the main villains, being a cannibal; assassin and criminal. In the series he kills one of the main character’s’ friend and forces them to escape with him. But they make a trap for him, and the only thing heard from cellbit after that was a gun shot. Now, since that Cell (prison cellbit) is the same as q!cellbit, we can now be sure that he manage to escape and didn’t do something else!!! Yippee!!!
- I didn’t watch much minecraft content from Felps and Forever, but I do know that Felps also participated quite a few times in Tazercraft’s hide n seek!!! Very nice.
- cellbit met badboyhalo a long time ago in a minecraft series of his, I didn’t watch it but I think it’s a nice fact!!
- also a long time ago there was a ship called MITW which is basically mikethelink+pactw, and they used to make fun of it by giving each other roses in a Christmas event and share edited photos of them in try not to laugh 😭😭
- cellbit has a very famous and awesome RPG, that’s it. He’s cool af.
- ALSOOOOOO cellbit made a video in 2016 criticizing the minecraft content during that time, he talked about how many of those videos were inappropriate for kids and for some reason he was very criticized during that time but he was right tbh
- i think it’s a cool fact that PAC’s irl name is Tarik :OO

Hello all!! With the event nearly upon us, I figured it was about time (finally) to post a sort of FaQ for the event! So buckle up, everyone, this post is gonna be a bit of a long one.
What is the event timeline?
March 14th - March 28th: Mod applications
April 21st - May 4th: Signup period
April 21st: Discord opens
May 5th - May 18th: Assignments sent out
May 19th - June 29th: Gift making period
June 9th - June 29th: Pinch-hits period
June 30th - July 13th: Posting period
Is there an age limit to the event?
Since this event is run through Tumblr and an event Discord, the age limit to join will be 13 if you wish to join the Discord, but if you will only be participating via Tumblr, there will be no age minimum in place. To create/receive any NSFW gifts, on the other hand, the age limit will be 18 and we ask that your gift be censored when posted on Tumblr if it is a visual art medium (though if you wish to DM your giftee with an uncensored version, go right ahead!).
What is definitely not allowed?
• Themes of incest (canonical or in relation to headcanons specified in sign-ups)
• Themes of pedophilia (referring to ships containing minors, such as Child/Adult, Teen/Adult, Child/Child, or Teen/Child pairings, with an exception to platonic or romantic pairings consisting of only characters between the ages of 14 to 17 for Teen/Teen relationships)
• Themes of underage drinking/drug use (consumption of substances by characters under the age of 18)
• Themes of abuse (physical/mental/sexual harm inflicted on a character or mutually between multiple characters involved)
• Usage of slurs (words used in a derogatory fashion against a character in regards to aspects of who or what they are)
• Lack of consent (while dubious consent may be allowed if requested in your sign up, a lack of consent entirely will not be tolerated)
• AI generated art (this applies to fanart generated by AI, fanfic created using chat bots, and anything else along these lines)
What are the gift requirements?
There will be a few options for what kind of gift you can make, as well as the option to DM a mod either here or on the discord once it opens if your preferred gift type is not listed or if you would like to make your giftee an extra gift of a non-listed art type. The options and their requirements are listed as such!!
Art - clean sketch with lineart minimum (or whatever point of the process this would be in your art style if lineart is not applicable)
Writing - 1,000 word count minimum (if you intend to write multiple chapters, you must have at least 2/3 of your total story written by posting period and the first chapter must be no less than 800 words long)
Playlist - 2hr length minimum
Moodboards/Stimboards - minimum of 2 boards equaling out to 18 elements
Webweave - at least 1 board containing 10 elements
Video Edit - at least 45 seconds in length
Poem - 100 word count minimum (or multiple shorter poems with a total of no less than 100 words)
Other Original Content (DM a mod on the Tumblr or once the Discord opens for more information on alternative gift suggestions such as cosplay videos, original songs, animations, or other such ideas)

What counts as "yuri"?
For the purposes of this event, we will not be accepting genderbends or trans headcanons of canonically cis male characters. Yuri would include any pairing or character who would be eligible to fit into either the Sapphic or Trixic umbrellas.
What if I just don't have the time?
Well, if you're worried about not being available during the creation period but still want to participate, you're more than welcome to sign on as a beta reader (not just for looking over/helping out with fics!) or a pinch hitter/bench warmer!! Beta readers are anyone who would like to help someone out in the creation of their gift, such as glancing it over for any errors, brainstorming ideas, or other helpful things!! A pinch hitter (also known sometimes as a bench warmer) is someone who steps up in the event that someone who was signed up previously decides that - for whatever reason - they would be unable to finish the gift on time, and it is given to someone else to make on a more time-crunched schedule!! Both of these roles are very helpful and valuable to have in an event like this, so if you aren't sure about joining the event as a primary member, keep in mind these roles may also be options for you! Beta readers will be a Discord-only role, but pinch hitter roles will be available to anyone interested on both Discord and Tumblr, just be sure to respond quickly or someone else may take the offered hit before you!
Is this a Tumblr-only event?
Yes and no. While the event is run on Tumblr, you don't have to only post your gift here during the posting period! Edits may be posted to YouTube/Tiktok, fics/poems may be posted to Ao3/Wattpad/ffdn, playlists can be uploaded to Spotify/YouTube, wherever else you would normally post your content!! The only thing asked of you is that you don't post any spoilers before the posting period begins. No "here's an update on an edit/fanart I'm making for a gift exchange" videos/screenshots or the like, no posting poetry/fic snippets, and keep any playlists made on Spotify privated, for example!! You'll be DMed on Discord with your assignment if you join the Discord, and DMed your assignment on Tumblr if you don't! No stress either way.
Is joining the Discord required?
You don't have to join the discord to participate if you don't want/are unable to!! The discord is just a hub for those participating to talk about things and interact with one another, but if you aren't able/don't want to join for whatever reason, that's perfectly okay! There will be a deadline countdown every so often on the Tumblr, and on the Discord as well, so those not in the server will stay in the loop on that front!! If you don't plan on joining the Discord, just mark that down in your sign up sheet and everything will be just fine.
Will there be an Ao3 collection?
There will be a collection you're free to add your gifts to if you so wish, but it will be moderated so only those with given access can approve it into the collection during the posting period! If you'd like to add a fic, fanart, series of poems, or whatever else to the collection, feel free to do so and it'll stay anonymous until the posting period begins!!

I remember that one artist on twitter back in the day, think 19-20, who did leopril art (both romantic and platonic, they loved them a LOT), and at the time they were completely alone in that. sure there were their friends who did occasional giftart and stuff, but there were no other artist/writer/fan who shared their love for these two chars. and they gave up, sadly. at one point they said something like "noone likes Leo and April together, I'm tired of being alone" and stopped doing rotmnt art.
I wish you two could know each other. but more than that I'm so happy you have people supporting you and I hope you would never feel what that artist felt. you deserve the love and recognition. Leo and April have amazing dynamics, and I can't thank you enough for picturing it as good as you do! ♥♥♥
I honestly have already felt that way MULTIPLE times. Back in late october/early November I felt it for at least 3 weeks straight
I haven't really stopped feeling like it either, but it doesn't bother me as much now. I honestly think will be a while (if ever) before anyone starts making original content for them like I do. If I get sad I just remember the reason I even create in the first place. I do stuff bc I can't expect anybody else to do it for me. If I want to see something I have to make it myself and that's the way its always been.
Another thing is I know there are people who like consuming the content, and I'm one of the only places to get it. Like I said, if I don't do it nobody's going to. So I could just give up and drop it but it wouldn't do anything. I still love Rise. What am I gonna do? Join the million and 1 other ppl drawing other ships? I don't think I'd even have any new to bring to the table. I'm not passionate about those characters like I am with these ones so my art would just be lifeless 💀
I'm stubborn too so if anybody tries to force me into doing something it just makes me want to do it 10x less LMAO

Both for the fandom and the show itself
Hmm... well I haven't like thought of it too much cause I don't like to get involved in the fandom itself when it comes to discourses! I suppose my unpopular opinion is that I truly don't take south park seriously! I see it as it is. Completely satire with the purpose of making jokes about real world problems and getting out some laughter from it. That's how I see the episodes with no shipping goggles until after when I can actually just enjoy the content people make out of it and go crazy with theories and hcs for fun and enjoyment jhshqhsjs
I also see it meanless to pin people down when it comes to fictional ships nothing justifies a person sending d3ath threats/harassment to a REAL person over something that ISN'T real. And I dislike how people disrespect others when it comes to them actually liking the show for what it is. Technically when fans take fanon as legit from canon! fans shitting on people who don't go by their fanon/ship over them going with canon.
The other day I was reading a post about fans shitting on cryle. Dude it's fictional they're not doing any harm whatsoever! Creek is canon shipping that specific ship is not gonna take that away just like it won't take away stendy for shipping style:)
Please, I just can't. I cannot comprehend when fans take fanon too seriously.
Also— when people make Kyle ultra feminized. I'm sorry for those who do and like, idc if you do but I just personally don't like it. Same with Tweek. I just keep my distance and mind my own business. All the kids are assholes. Actually the whole town is! Cartman is an ass, yes. His character is intended to be an antagonist but that doesn’t take away the other shit anyone else from the show has done:)
Butters is a dick! He ain't no pure uwu boy he has his moments and IS friends with Cartman even if some say he's a victim. Like, it's shown in the show when Butters can't take Cartman's shit anymore he stops playing around! (In his own way he gets back at Cartman. Like that video tape of him dancing with a cut out of Justin timberlake, taking his hotdog business away or dragging cartmans ass back to the bus refusing to let go of his hand.) And he also finds Cartman bigoted comments funny too.
Besides, Victor was not a creation by being abused from Cartman in PC. Butters created that person for himself as a copping machine from taking ALL of the boys shit (bullied from everyone) (he literally points out all the other main boys issues in that Hawaiian ep atleast Stan and Kyle. Not just Cartman.) and IS a victim from his parents. It was a choice Butters made for going the Victor route being influenced by the environment he had to endure.
Also Liane is a bad mother she is no sweet angel. She has been shown to be more stricter in recent seasons but that doesn’t erase the fact that she has done shit to Cartman just as much as he has done to her. Maybe even more:"D
People who want Cartman d3ad is like asking for Garrison, Randy (and anyone that goes against their fanon) gone. It takes the essence of the show entirely. Cartman is literally south park.

I dislike the fatphobia in this fandom. No more take on this cause this is a sensitive subject I do not want to take part of!
Main boys ARE Cartman's friends. It's as obvious as day those three care in their own way. That one percent episode they literally went to ask the kids they thought were the cause of the fire to stop harassing their friend. People who don't care wouldn't even bother to intervene.
Liking a bad character doesn't make you a bad person! I personally like Cartman, he's my favorite. I can admit he has problems and is very problematic! And I would never follow by all the shit he says, realistically I would NOT be around a person like that. However the way he's written drove me to like him and the fact that he's just a fictional character~ also PC has proven that Cartman can change:)
Just a reminder that these are just my takes! No one has to follow them or am I attempting to shove my opinions onto anyone. And they're not always consistent. My views on things change a lot.
I love reading diffrent opinions on things, hc's, ships just as much as I like to read when it comes to character analysis, lore, theories. I'm opened to listen and take diverse opinions from the show/fandom.

As a lucemond shipper, it is sad that's all we'll ever get from canon, but also, now we're free to explore more. I say free as in, I read the wiki pages and oof, othee ships are gonna burn in one way or another.
So I do hope we continue to get more works for lucemond.
don’t worry!! this is a creative little fandom indeed. but I think we’ve always had that freedom, I think that every ship does tbh, it's what a lot of people have yet to understand and that’s why they’re always in everyone else’s business (hotdtwt i’m looking at you directly).
like—I have brainrotted and found content and created content for ships and characters that have been in the same room once or none at all, and never have shared a second of screentime, and managed to enjoy it to the FULLESSST, some of the best content is found by focusing on the creativity of taking these two dolls and playing pretend with them with no guidance just vibes. so what what I mean by this is that ships usually die when people rely only on canon content to keep going, insted of just being infinitely delusional and using what barney gave us all along (imagination). so if we keep the magic going (being extra delusional) we'll just keep thriving!!! trust 🫶
also we are lucky to have the source material we have tbf, it is quite a feast. however yes, I agree that I would’ve wanted to have/see more bc there was soo much potential for it! like I think they could’ve stretched the dynamic a bit longer. and yeah I get what you mean, everything IS gonna burn and crash from s2 on, it's gonna be hard to watch, but I'm sat and quite excited! I’m also looking forward to see what lcmders come up with during this new phase, the lcmnd tag on ao3 it’s almost at 4k!! so YAAAAY to that. I wish on everybody that the brain juices never dry out ever 🙏🙏

Most people hate that bi han is a cold hardass bastard, but I disagree cause i just don't wanna him be redeemed by sareena or frost or anyone lol. Cause let's be real, all those bireena crumbs and the girl cyrax "leaks" are just people reaching and projecting.

When I said once that I was never really into ships, I was being real. Even though the first ship that I got interested was NoobSmoke/Bitomas because of some games and fanfictions on fanfiction.net, the most I did was leaving likes. I'm new at creating content and such. And I usually just like ships that makes sense to me, but I never mind about others...
If I don't like something, I just keep rolling the page. And I honestly don't understand why is it so hard for some people here...
At first, I thought that "I can fix him or someone else can fix him" was a meme LoL, but some people here and there are taking it seriously. LoL
Honestly, I like Bi-Han in Mk1 too, I like him a lot. And I don't see why some people think that he's unrecognisable just because he is ambitious now. Like, c'mon, where was he grandmaster before?
I think it's just natural that he would be more ambitious than ever before.
The only constant about Bi-Han -- that any mk fan knows -- is his ruthless attitude toward his enemies, arrogant behavior and loyalty to the Lin Kuei. I don't think nrs writers went too far on him. I like leaks because he's not going to be a jobber like, unfortunately, Noob was in most of games.
Like, the guy is the best Lin Kuei in every timelines! Why was he so many times wasted like that?
I'm glad that he will be like an anti-hero. But I'm even more happy for Liu Kang's words and I'm expecting that this means they ain't gonna change him, just bring him smarter next game.

gonna put a sign on the door that says "there are different flavors of queer and just because a pair of characters aren't canonically the type you want them to be doesn't mean that the creator is saying they're straight and queer people aren't allowed to like them"
i may be new to the fandom but the idea that a couple non-canon jokes about shipping undo all the actual content in the show clearly portraying it as a nontraditional relationship between people who will never ever end up in a romantic relationship with anyone else is very silly to me? especially when canon itself never jokes about it? the absence of homosexuality is not the presence of heterosexuality. queer is a big umbrella and malevolent falls under it. regardless of what harlan says--and i personally don't think it was meant to be malicious--the content of the show, which is created by harlan, is very definitively not Two Straight Guys Hanging Out Until Women Appear. do you look at something without labels and think "this doesn't have the label i want, so the creator must mean that it has the label i don't want." it doesn't have that label either! that's not what harlan wrote! i have been in fandoms where the creator resented the fans, this is not one of those cases, this is a couple perhaps ill-conceived but not malicious jokes outside canon being spun into a signifier of homophobia on the part of someone whose actual writing shows a clear respect for queerness.
i don't like getting snippy about things but as an aroace person it bothers me to see people define sexuality as a binary between straight and gay and portray that as the progressive viewpoint

I guess this is ship discourse but honestly I don't even care. My blog, I blog what I want. Disagree? Cool, just block me ffs.
I think some non-canon ship enthusiasts are mad weird sometimes. Not in general, but a very specific niche of them. The kind that shoves their ships into the canon instead of just electing to ignore the canon.
I'm gonna use BLEACH as an example with a bunch of shit I've seen. No hate to the ships themselves, just this specific type of person:
The IchiRuki + IshiHime shipper that, instead of ignoring IchiHime and RenRuki, they create this scenario where Orihime is cheating on Ichigo with Uryu and Rukia is unhappy with her marriage with Renji insisting that he's an abuser or something. You know, absolute fucking nonsense that is nothing like the characters at all so that they can push their ship. (Byakuya's closer to being an abuser to Rukia in canon than Renji ever would in any universe, but y'all don't wanna talk about that)
It's weird! I think it's absolutely ridiculous to push that the canon ships are bad and your ships are better when you don't even understand basic characterization of the characters in question! Talking a lot of shit about the canon ending, but then proceeding to keep the ending of the media, but throwing in your preferred ship as the characters committing adultery. Just make a new ending where your ship got together instead!! Why prefer non-canon ships then in the same breath respect the canon to that degree? And how can you call blatant cheating a ship moment? If you consider that to be the basis of a good, healthy, or positive relationship (If you like/write ships that are unhealthy on purpose, this doesn't apply), maybe you shouldn't be making ship content at all!
I don't think you should have to adhere to canon by any means, with ships or anything else. I'm only implying otherwise. Non-canon ships are great, that's kind of the entire point of shipping! I ship Renji with like 5 different characters so understand my POV is not to say that you should stick to canon. My point is just that, if you gotta create this horrible mischaracterizations of the characters you like to justify your ship, maybe just, don't? Make a headcanon where the ending was that Ichigo got with Rukia, Orihime got with Uryu, and Renji stayed a proud single like a normal person. Why must the canon ships be "evil" in your eyes just because you prefer one that isn't canon?

OFMD s2 finale prediction, updated: oh heck y’all. I think Izzy might be about to die.
Evidence: for a start, we know this show loves parallel structure. The season started with an Izzy death scene, with Stede gutting him as repayment for “selling us out to the English.” There’s a lot that’s gone unsaid and unacknowledged this season—and as Archie says, I’ve been content so far to live in a “they get away with it, life just goes on” state—but. But. But. Izzy might not be fully able yet to apologize for hurting Ed the way he did due to a lack of understanding (though I think he’s getting there, if he isn’t already), but he damn well knows what he did re:the English. And him dying for real as repayment for that would be a neat little foreshadowed parallel moment, if nothing else.
Second, consider this screenshot from the finale teaser:
That’s Ed’s hand, covered in blood. Ring and spider give it away if the blurry side of his head didn’t. And blurry as hell in the background, you can make out Archie, Auntie, someone in a hat, the Swede, Zheng, and Lucius. Zheng is a captain, she’s wearing a hat that indicates rank. I’d be willing to bet money right now the person covered up by Ed’s hand is Stede, since he’s also a captain and also would definitely wear a hat. And thematically, there’s really only one other character that Ed might get his hands (lol) bloody for, and that is probably trying to hold a dying Izzy together as they have REAL closure. Parallel structure coming into play again, Ed and Izzy having one last conversation as Izzy lays dying, only this time Ed isn’t implicitly begging for death (and can we talk about Izzy sneering “good for you” after Ed describes how Izzy killed him in a dream, versus how that conversation would go at this point in the season now that the infected leg has healed and some of the rot between them has been cleared up and they have a chance to actually express care for each other without so much venom?).
Third: Izzy is the new unicorn. The good luck charm. The Revenge unicorn has been beheaded, de-legged, pretty much mauled and mutilated until it’s unrecognizable. There’s further meat in that metaphor but sticking with its ties to Izzy, the mythical creatures this season haven’t fared well. The Kraken, smashed with a cannonball. The phoenix (I think it’s a phoenix??) of Zheng’s ship, likely blown to smithereens. The unicorn of the Revenge was bad off from the start, but now that its properties have transferred to Izzy…well. Three for three, the crew and Stede in particular is starting to live in the real world now rather than the fun muppet pirate world Stede originally created on the Revenge, the unicorn must go. (There’s also ample evidence to challenge this theory, mainly Ed’s gravy basket experience with mermaid Stede and also Buttons literally turning into a bird. Magic is alive and well in OFMD, so might the unicorn be spared? Time will tell.)
Fourth: Con has been giving a masterful performance this season, undebatable regardless of whether you liked or agreed with Izzy’s arc or not. Could it be, friends, that he’s been giving his all as a farewell to the character and the show and the fans?
I’m not saying this because I want it; people have been predicting it all season and until this morning, when my eyes popped open and I could not get back to sleep for love or money until I made this post, I have been rolling my eyes and thinking “whatever, he’s gonna be fine.” Unless. He’s emphatically not fine. And all these tiny hints have been actually building to something.

Do you have any advice for fan fiction writers who aren't getting many readers etc? I feel like giving up some days but I love writing and find fan fiction my personal therapy if that makes sense. I'd love any advice you can give or any suggestions. 💕
Well, honestly I'm not any kind of authority so take whatever I say with a grain of salt. Because honestly, I never really thought I'd get any kind of following to begin with 😕 this surprised me, and still does to this day, more than anyone. When I started posting my first fic (very nervously and through the feeling like I was going to throw up) I thought "well, I'll just write a few chapters and probably no one will ever read it and I'll get bored and it'll be out of my system." And now here we are, and I have no idea how that happened 😳
What advice I can give is, you can't write for the sake of other people. I know that sounds cheap as hell because the whole point of sharing fic is to get feedback and interact with others in the fandom, but really at the heart of it you have to just write stories that you like and you want to read above everything else. Keep writing. Keep growing. Keep refining your work and your style so no matter what the view count is, you know you're becoming a better writer regardless. And truth be told, you never know what idea or fic will hit with readers and what won't. You may write something and think oh no one is gonna gaf about this and then out of nowhere, that's what people love. It happens more than you know.
Another thing is - and this is going to sound harsh at first but bear with me please - in this day and age sadly you have to manage your expectations. Not because you don't deserve more readers or comments or because your work isn't good, but because the culture of fandom and fanfic/fanart is changing, and not for the better. There's dozens of posts that make the rounds on here passively warning people about how a lot of writers and artists are getting burned out and fed up with the lack of reciprocal community from their audience. Tiktok and IG and all that shit has kind of ruined the landscape of fandom because now everything is seen as just consumption based. More and more people read a fic and move on, binge a show and move on, burn through a fandom's entire AO3 content in 3 months and move on, and it sucks. I mean when you look at fandoms of old, the days of Xena and Buffy for example, a lot of those fans are still around and still participating and still creating work even though the show/fandom/ships are long gone. You don't really see that loyalty much anymore, and it becomes a cycle of the fandom shrinking and then the feedback and comments and support grinds to a halt, and then creators stop feeling like wasting hours of their life to pour themselves into work that gets maybe a handful of comments even though they see hundreds or thousands of people have read it. It just sucks all around. So expecting to see the numbers that a fic did even 3-5 years ago, sadly, just isn't going to happen.
BUT
I do also know this, the Clexa fandom has been one of the best fandoms I've ever been in, both as just a fan on the outskirts and someone who tries to contribute. I've found Clexas to be funny and welcoming and we have a core group of fucking awesome and loyal, supportive readers, but the thing is you have to keep going. Sometimes building an audience and a regular group of readers takes time. Name recognition matters. Yes there are writers out there that are just synonymous with the fandom, but there's other writers (hi yes hello me, I mean me lol) who came late to the party and it's taken some time to get people to see their work. Tagging things and reblogging, talking in tags, reaching out to other people in the fandom and making friends who want to help you with your work because you help support theirs. All that stuff. It makes a difference. Damn near every week or so I get a new reader saying "wow idk how I hadn't heard of you before/read your stuff before but I'm glad I found it, keep going!" And that 100% will never have even the possibility of happening if you stop writing!
In the end, you just have to decide what's best for you. If this feels incredibly unhelpful I truly am sorry, I wish I had better advice to give you but I'm as clueless to this all as you are. But 2 things I do know for sure without a doubt? One, there is a place for you in any fandom, and your work does matter. There is an audience out there who want to read what you have to write and they'll love it. And two, in the end just be kind to yourself. Love yourself and be proud of yourself for trying, and for being creative and growing your work. Fanfic is supposed to be fun, writing about your favorite blorbos is meant to be fun, even if more often than not it feels like the equivalent of just dancing alone in your kitchen. Ya get what I mean?

Tubbo IS DONE with tommy asking if hes hot so hes like fuck it whatever
kind of derailing from the ask, but i feel like tubbo doesn’t really care about tommy flirting with him as much as people make it out to be. don’t get me wrong, tommy definitely has a history of taking it too far and actually making tubbo upset, and tubbo definitely doesn’t like it, but i feel like people blow it way out of proportion. i think tubbos main problem with it is it happening in front of an audience, you know?
i say that because clingy is 100% an off camera relationship, despite the fact that they make content together, and i think their dynamic is completely different (to an extent) when they’re not in front of the internet. i think this is one of the parts where the distinction between “tommy” and “tubbo” versus “tom” and “toby” really matters. the way tubbo talks about tommy (tom) when asked about him completely misaligns with the perception and character of “tommy”, which is usually the persona that people are asking about. i think he’s even said on stream after being asked how he feels about tommy that people don’t seem to understand that tommy isn’t “tommy” all the time, that he really doesn’t behave like that 24/7. that tubbo sees him as a good friend and a good person. if you ask tubbo about tommy, he doesn’t think about “tommy”, he thinks about tom.
point being, i really don’t think tubbo (toby) gives much of a shit about the slightly more “homoerotic” instances of their relationship in real life, and i don’t think tommy (tom) creates those instances anywhere near as much as he does on camera. one example could be the tubbo alt stream where tommy runs from his office to tubbos house and complains that tubbo didn’t give him a big hug and a little kiss for it, to which tubbo tells tommy, “what, you want a little kiss? i’ll give you a little kiss”, smirking and obviously fucking with tommy. tommy immediately backs down, of course, and tubbo says he didn’t think so. it’s only one instance, but i think it’s a good example of the fact that their relationship isn’t just this one sided thing people act like it is. tubbo isn’t this prudish, virginal, innocent little bumblebee people treat him like, and tommy isn’t as much of a boldfaced shithead as he pretends he is. i think realistically, in real life, they are a normal pair of best friends that aren’t any more or less weird about each other than the average friendship. if tommy asks tubbo what he thinks of his new haircut, tubbo is gonna tell him without any of the “ew why you asking me get your own damn opinion 🙄” he would normally give on camera.
with that in mind, something else to consider is tommy’s content brain and how acutely aware he is of what people like about his dynamics with other people and how to hit each of those points perfectly. the best examples of it are clingyduo and crimeboys. he understands the key principles of their dynamic, particularly the fact that tommy is obsessed with tubbo and how that makes him act. that’s where the gay jokes and possessiveness and controlling nature come from, even if they do stem from tommy and tubbos genuine dynamic, especially when they were younger. back then it was charming and sweet because they were just that excited to play with each other, now it’s frustrating because it’s just tommy being mean to tubbo. plus, sometimes tommy antagonizing tubbo is really to try and make tubbo laugh, because sometimes it does work! my clingy cinematic parallels post is an example.
if tommy’s drive to push the dynamic is his content brain, tubbos resistance against it is his want for privacy. people often ask how tubbo went from “i don’t blame people who ship us” to where he is now, but i think tubbos original statement is pretty self explanatory. i mean, they’re literally called clingyduo. they both very obviously display a lot of affection towards each other, and they can’t really hide it because it’s part of their natural chemistry. speaking from personal experience, when you have a relationship like that, people pick up on it and they get fucking ANNOYING. depending on the kind of person you are or what you value, you react differently to people being weird about it. some people (tommy) lean into it, play it up, stick up a middle finger. other people (tubbo) retreat, keep that relationship more private, stick the middle finger up behind their back. best example of this in action is when tommy says i love you or something else sweet to tubbo and tubbo responds "people dont take it like that". if tubbo played along with the bit, he would get chained to it, and the audience would ruin his relationship with tommy. obviously he doesn't want that, cue the tubbo shutting almost all tommy affection/gaybaiting down.
anyways. i think i'm probably talking to a wall and people are already aware of everything i talked about. plus it's not even a very good essay. however i'm tired of the way people treat clingy and how it feeds into infantilizing tubbo, which i've been seeing a lot of lately. idk. conclusion: i don't think tommy is as weird about tubbo irl and i don't think tubbo cares as much if he is either. i'm tired of seeing clingy stepping on each other's toes get treated so weird. toodles!

Gonna preface this by saying that this is my attempt to approach this purely from an observational standpoint about a evolving narrative. My opinions on the Content Creators and the discourse surrounding them I will keep to a minimum...
I watch the QSMP and enjoy it for what it is, but I have no delusions about what it is becoming. It is currently in a state of decay and started to be so about the time of "The Egg Arc".
While I do like what they were doing with the eggs, the nature of their place on the server, "fragile and fleeting", has become a narrative albatross.
Everyone MUST be pro egg. Anything that wants to remove the eggs is the antagonist. It has created some great tension as to who the antagonist is, but the "Fragile and Fleeting" aspect is being ignored due to sentiment that the Eggs are children and the admins behind them are real people who's presence will be eliminated from the story.
The content creators that are adoptive parents are in a catch 22 of log on nearly every day to do tasks to keep eggs a live or they die or living life like a normal human being. To lose an egg is to lose purpose, as many creators that have lost eggs rarely log in to participate in lore, let alone play the game.
Then there is the community that has also become attached. The eggs beloved as they are now, have served their narrative purpose and should either transition to a new role or be removed from the story. But the death of an egg is such an impactful event on the server. The players and admins go through actual processes of grief as they deal with a loss and because of this, I think the authors, or Quackity, took pause, CHANGED THE STORY, to revolve around the eggs being permanent fixtures that CAN die, but don't have to.
Shiro from Voltron was written as a character that had an arc and was suppose to die, but was reintroduced in a role where he had no purpose except to exist. It was awkward to watch the series with a dead man, reanimated on fandom whims. In Guild Wars 2, a major character death was thwarted because the community was fond of a relationship between 2 of the characters. In the original Transformers Movie, the death of Optimus Prime was devastating to a generation, but if you watched the next few seasons of the show, Optimus returned from the dead, and he was so displaced, he became antagonistic toward his allies because he was not suppose to be alive in the world he was dragged into.
All of these deaths had the narrative purpose to allow other characters to grow and develop into heroes. And with these examples, they did die so the growth still happened, but with a undeath presence in the story. For the QSMP eggs undeath, the gamble is if the eggs die, will the audience stop watching, or worse, attack those responsible for them.
I think the best solution for this is to let the eggs go.
They have to become something else: Hatch, be revealed for their true purpose or even die. Many of the content creators now have expressed they have plans on arc they can take their characters if the eggs perish. The admins playing the eggs can be free to take up new roles and identities in the story and I think we all can come out better in the end.
And this is the second problem with the QSMP: Community Entitlement.
Throughout, the community has been amazingly supportive but also zealously protective of the server and its residents.
People have their ships and there is a constant push to see these ships happen, even when content creators have expressed their actual discomfort with shipping. The most notable ones being Spreen in the discomfort instance and Rubius in forced ship interference.
While Rubius seems to have been persuaded to try again, Spreen became frustrated early and left. Rubius, having a strange existence on the server, often logged in to play with his longtime friend, Vegetta, but was torn into by people that saw him as a threat to Foolish and Vegetta's "relationship" since they had an Egg together.
It also didn't soothe the community that Rubius way of playing was feared to put eggs in danger.
It also goes for content creator's personal lives. Missa going on trips to Japan and folks still insisting to log into the server and take care of his "son". The task system holding people hostage as summer events and cons are in full swing, and no effort was made to pause events during, so creators that were on were required to do it all (Hello, BadBoyHalo enjoyers ^-^). There is also bullying content creators for the crime of behaviors in role play that SHOULD NOT be conflated with the ACTUAL person. This isn’t exclusive to QSMP, but I have seen it time and time again on servers where it had to be addressed.
Content Creators have repeatedly said that they are portraying characters and Lore™ is part of a role play, and some still don’t seem to grasp that.
This has no easy solution, as it is audience perception and that requires personal responsibility and common sense.
As for the pressure to stream daily, I think the QSMP needs seasons or chapters, and not be an ongoing server. It can give creators time to make plans, have lives and do other content without community backlash.
The third problem I think I am seeing is "chasing the dragon".
The lightning in a bottle nature of a Minecraft server with a gimmick is to keep people interested in that as a product. The QSMP’s selling point is that its multilingual, but it is increasingly becoming an English server. Out of convenience and profit as the Spanish, Portuguese and French speaking streamers are getting the subscriptions from the English speaking audience.
While I really like that Baghera and Foolish learning Spanish is a good thing no matter what, even Quackity is pivoting hard to English when possible.
There is also the CONSTANT hype over penny-ante BS for server events is wearing thin.
“Another threat to the eggs? Are they going to all DIE this week?“
“The end is near! For real this time“
“Come to the big unnecessary party that is absolutely not a trap“
I am sure the writers for the QSMP have an epic story to tell, You kinda get glimpses of it on occasion, but we are in a state of low expectation due to what we are getting.
Easy solution is to let the writers tell their story.
The community theorists may have hit on some notes that were close to the mark, but that shouldn’t be a deterrent to continue. Theorist base theories off of GOOD storytelling. Looking at this like a tabletop RPG, means some unforeseen things can happen when players do something that throws a wrench in the DM’s story, like blowing up a major candidate for an election during a talk show, they work with it. I think the writers know what they want to do and how to go about it. They just need to be allowed to do it.

First of all, dear god the chaos.
Bruh you have Jamison from the lawless radioactive wasteland that is Australia and Lucio the freedom fighter dj. Being in a poly relationship with this two dudes will never be boring with the amt of shit you get into (which most of the time it’s Jamison’s fault oof)
I can see Lucio and Jamison being rather physically affectionate with you and each other, so I do hope you are someone who doesn’t mind all that. If you do, its ok cus Lucio understands all that personal space jeez, aand will do his best to explain and help Jamison understand cus Jamison is a bit more uhhhhh intrusive lmao
Group cuddle sessions are a thing and participation is made mandatory, the latter being a rule that was first made up to keep Junkrat out of his workshop to tinker stuff, but now it’s used for any time one of you gets too into work or need comfort of some sort.
They both are incredibly energetic and fun people to be with too! Thankfully you and Lucio can contain a bit of Jamison’s manic and destructive energy (and maybe teach him more abt what the rest of the world is like and morals). If you tired of socialising, they will def be chill in just hanging out in the same room, though Jamison needs some explanation and time to understand that first since hes not so people smart.
Fun activities would include gaming, workshop binges (Jamison makes shit while Lucio and you join in or add more dumb whacky ideas), MUSIC LISTENING PARTIES like Lucio is a DJ he wants to show yall all these cool artists and know yall tastes ok
Lucio makes a curated playlist for you amd Jamison. Aaaaand maybe a upcoming new album inspired by the two of you shhhhh its a surprise. And Jamison loves creating new trinkets for you and Lucio! He made a smol metal wire sculpture with a rat, frog and another animal representing you. Its considered a treasured possession that you can Lucio took turns to keep it in your rooms lmao, until Jamison made another one :3
Honestly you three prob got a lot of questioning looks when you all came out as a polyamory couple. Mostly cus of Jamison reputation as a crazed maniac and wanted criminal ngl but when everyone in overwatch sees the three of you hanging out, its really sweet.
I say some issues u guys would have would be first and foremost, Jamison’s questionable morality and lack of understanding of many things. He did kill people yes, but to him it was his way of life from the nuclear wasteland that is his home. It has taken a number of therapy sessions (as required for a reformatory programme Jamison is enrolled in because how else will he be in overwatch bruh), but hey hes getting better i suppose. Be patient with Jamison at times alright? Because he’s still figuring out all these new things and reframing in his worldview.
Another issue for sure would prob be Lucio’s tendency to be stubborn on some things. Haha u didnt think i was gonna say that huh.
To clarify, he’s someone passionate on various causes, and because he is such a nice and caring person pushing to gain support for other’s welfare, Lucio doesn’t fully grasp the consequences of his actions at times. It’s like…he’s naive or a bit simple-minded. Not unintentionally or fully dumb, more like he gets into this helping ppl mindset so much he forgets other things to consider. Like how he faces the Vishkar conflict. It’s a huge sore spot for him, and it’s a big reason why he doesn’t like Symmetra that much because he assumes that she is bad and aware of her corporation’s questionable deeds, which is not completely true. Its also personal for him because it was his hometown that was being affected, and because of that Lucio had to do something to save it. All these feelings mean that Lucio gets blinded by them at times, esp when its got to do sth that he’s passionate abt. There will be times he sticks to his moral values and stand by them, without realising that he needs to open his kindness and empathy to those who seem to be the most unworthy of it. In fact, its thanks to being with you and Jamison and over time that Lucio realises this fact.

If you care to read the fan stories of this level, you might be able to see the charm of what the author was trying to go for. Not gonna lie, typically at this level you’re the only one with ideas and no one else is going to write them for you. So hop to it!

You have created your own family tree, legacy, lover's past, future, and plotted the names of your grand children! This is a rare level flex, but feel free to post your kids and grandkids as you become star dust. You just want to be in your lover’s/lover's arms and for them to hold you tight, even if that means the world will have to burn in the process. Power to you means nothing, you just want your love interest/ interests to dote on you. If there are problems more than likely your love interests will solve it for you because of magic. 3. did a relationship with an F/O change in a major way (i.e. you started dating a platonic F/O or realized you prefer a formerly romantic F/O to be a friend, got married/engaged to an F/O, etc)? if so, did it happen more spontaneously, or was it something you had planned for a while?
Asterius was originally platonic but overtime his relationship with Dia started feeling more romantic :~) he's still not quite at the point where I'd call him a romantic f/o but he's inching there. And regardless I love him a lot... I wish I was better at drawing him tho! Would make sooooo much more content with him if I was better at drawing him </3
5. regardless of who you'd pick for the previous question, which F/O would you say you spent the most time with this year (i.e. by thinking/talking about them the most, creating a lot of art or writing for your ship…)?
Not even a question Theseus is always #1 </3 hmm I wanna elaborate but I'm not sure what else to say about it here... but he's literally on my mind almost daily even if I don't always write or talk about him!
6. talk about any special/memorable moments you had with your F/O(s) this year! Which stood out to you the most?
Haven't talked about them here bc they were both suuuupper brief and fleeting but I've had 2 dreams about Theseus somewhat recently :~) though in one he was a summer camp counselor! We kissed overlooking the edge of a cliff but I woke up immedietly afterwards LMAO
8. in which ways did your F/O(s)/selfshipping help you this year?
Hmm this is gonna be a lil less about selfshipping and more about Theseus and Asterius in general. I've talked about this before but in 2019 ~ 2020 or so I was rly rly depressed and hadn't really done any art in months and months. I had started drawing again a little bit but in late 2020 I saw a clip of Theseus and Asterius and I just latched onto them immedietly <3 and because Theseus was such (and still is) an unpopular character, I had to create for him myself... so I did! A lot of it too, I had drawn more in those months than I had all year due to Theseus and Asterius </3 I don't draw them as much as I used to since I've been focused on my personal projects again, but they are Quite Literally the reason why art became fun for me again...
10. have you bought any merch of your F/O or other items that remind you of them this year?
A LOT of keychains of Theseus and Asterius!! I've posted my most recent one here, but I think I have ah... maybe about 10 total. Wish they had official merch but I do not see that EVER happening </3
14. did you find out anything new and surprising about yourself through selfshipping this year?
Hmm not necessarily THIS year but Theseus and Asterius basically reignited my interested in history and mythology and I've been invested in it ever since <3
20. are there any hopes and wishes you have regarding your own selfships and/or the selfship community as a whole for the coming year?
There should be more content for bitches like me who prefer their babygirls to be cringefailures who can't do anything right. Thumb's up! 👍🏽 also I want to finally start comming people for art of Dia and Asterius I need more art of them together tcfyvgbuh
