#if peter suggested a dance off there was a 50:50 chance loki would seriously consider factoring that into a plan

Loki: the Tesseract tastes weird
Thor: why do you know what the tesseract tastes like
Loki:
Thor: Loki?
Loki:
Thor: LOKI?!
Loki: *makes a run for it*
Thor: TELL ME YOU DIDN'T EAT THE TESSERACT--
#loki is a tesseract eater confirmed#AU where he didn't ''steal'' the tesseract he looked at it in the vault and was hungry so he just took it as a light snack#infinity war confirmed the tesseract would be crunchy and I still believe the plot would've been so much better if loki hadn't died#everyone else did what was expected of them but loki is the 1 person that is openly supposed to be a wild card#Dr Strange giving up the stone wasn't a surprise and the people getting snapped and returning in endgame wasn't a surprise#but literally anything loki could have done that would've impacted the plot in any way would've been refreshing simply because its ~*loki*~#and no i'm not saying this as a fan i'm saying this because he's literally just reached the opposite side of his arc#he has the opportunity to act of his own free will on the side of the heroes and we've seen what chaos he creates when forced into villainy#not only would every single character interaction be gold but loki's also meta to an extent and does things for the sake of it#if peter suggested a dance off there was a 50:50 chance loki would seriously consider factoring that into a plan#by SAYING loki is a hero now and not giving him a chance to demonstrate it to an extent that would have any impact other than shock value#they kinda wasted a character that should've been an integral part of the film while introducing nothing new about him#we already know loki is good and was a victim who acted as a villain due to specific circumstances but he needed to actually showcase that#loki already demonstrated selflessness in thor 2 and he's also proven time and time again he values his own life less than others like thor#so his 'sacrifice' scene comes across as proving he'd finally given up and stopped fighting when he learnt thor/hulk couldn't take thanos on#which is exactly the opposite of what loki is all about#loki is about starting at a low point with nothing to lose and fighting to gain SOMETHING even if its just respect/acceptance/validation#he's about surviving; living through something and taking the experiences as an opportunity to know yourself more and create your own agency#so yeah killing him off the way they did was real disrespectful and no I will not believe he actually died or will stay dead#that narrative is trash
