23. Future headcanon

I came up with this recently and I love it: In the future by the end of season 3 Darcy will become a teacher at cloud tower. Not sure about her subjects yet but definitely something like practical dark magic. She will also teach her students to watch carefully and pay attention to details. Not every witch has mind control powers but she'll definitely sensitize the young witches to watch 'behind' the things and to explore backgrounds before acting.

I really get that people don’t like the last season but there’s this trend lately (idk if it’s inspired by what bob and eliza have been saying about wanting it to end with season 5 which i absolutely get from their POV) or just like that but honestly...and this is going to be an unpopular opinion but I like season 6 more than season 5...I get that the set is a bit different but to me it’s just in a way a bit of a recycled season 2 that went onto season 7 as well as a plot idea, but I think the whole season is just Bellamy’s love letter to Clarke and him actually coming to terms with loving her which I believe is like that; 

What I find like a mistake and something bad is that yes Clarke isn’t really herself in that season and that if you think about it, she has been missing for the past two but I still think it was important for that relationship (once again I get it was maybe hard for the actors, that Eliza enjoyed playing a different one and Bob struggled with the CPR scene but they are actors and they don’t play into my idea for the show. I understand their opinions but to me the CPR scene is great and honestly I don’t care what the OG bellarkers say, it’s the best and only real show of love between them; hugs are hugs and conversations are great and so are lingering stares but this is different and so much more)

Anyway, rant over...I guess I’m alone in this one

The Alex Jones trial has been alternately darkly hilarious (DARKLY) and absolutely crushing (the parents and psychotherapist were devastating, highly encourage people to follow @ChooseLoveM on twitter). The clips going viral (justifiably) are largely from day 7 of the trial, or the emergency motion this morning, but I do HIGHLY recommend looking at some of the other highlights. Watching the judge correct Alex upwards of a dozen times during his jury questions is great, I'm catching up on the first part of his testimony on day 6 (watching him trying to do his show on the stand is UGHHH, watching him backtalk the judge like a toddler and her shutting him down (tail end of day 6) is better). The court isn't livestreaming while the jury is deliberating, but the law & crime network was authorized to record and lost video to youtube.

But! Lesser known highlights. Becca Lewis provides *amazing* context as an expert witness for the impact of online misinformation and alex jones specifically. You just have to put up with the shitball on defense talking down to her like an asshole during cross-examination. And tune into any part of Daria Korpova's testimony for some SOLID GOLD uncanny valley of human empathy. Watch her wrestle her naked desire to argue that alex jones has actually suffered worse than the grieving parents he defamed! Watch her say on the stand, under oath, that she believes the trial has been partially staged! (the last jury question she answered, iirc). If you REALLY want a commitment, check out the knowledge fight formulaic objections episode featuring her deposition (yes I know it's four hours BUT IT'S WORTH IT) where she is appointed as corporate representative (and doesn't know what that is), and has done almost none of the research the judge specifically ordered her to do (but she brought a printout of the wiki page for 'false flag'). Tune into the law&crime youtube channel to see her looking like a confused baby deer who still doesn't understand what alex jones did wrong, tune into knowledge fight to hear her say outright that she thinks anyone with a heart would want to believe a conspiracy theory that these dead children are still secretly alive

Okay secretly this ended up mostly being about Daria rather than other notable moments. But seriously, she provides UNBELIEVABLE perspective on what an infowars Believer actually thinks, because she's still baffled that there's even a problem, and she's too clueless to catch onto any lawyer's strategy in questioning, either the prosecution OR the defense. Fucking wild to watch.

dennis & dee in the gang’s still in ireland are iconic for so many reasons like this is back to their horrible trash siblings roots

-dee gets to be a menace & take glee in doing all the talking when dennis is trying not to cough in front of the realtor which is such a refreshing delight when so much of the later seasons give her the Meg griffin treatment

-dennis loves the dilapidated castle & it’s dark history god he’s such a weird girl I love him he’s so me

-their bickering is actually funny & feels like real sibling banter again like the early seasons

-the shining references & dennis talking to the castle are genuinely hilarious

-it’s a small thing but I love that these bitches literally rent a whole ass castle & still opt to sleep in the same room & I love dee worrying about dennis & wanting to get him to a hospital even as she’s mean to him they’re such real siblings again here it’s like all the stupid parts of the later seasons didn’t happen <3

-I love everything about the Dennis has Covid arc. all of the 2020 jokes in season 15 are actually really surprisingly funny

in conclusion: I love the Ireland episodes I love season 15 it’s like the show did such s 180 & went from going downhill to uphill which is so unusual & I really hope the trend continues in season 16 especially with the trash twins & their dynamic since that’s obviously objectively the most important part of the show <3

When I/my brother (it was mostly him watching me) first played Warnings at Waverly Academy, we were both at the peak of our Five Nights at Freddy's phase, and so we would make Nancy sneak around at night for as long as possible without getting caught by Paige and claim that we were "basically playing FN@F in Nancy Drew" despite the only correlation between those two games was "don't get caught by an enemy in the middle of the night." But it was fun. I hope I'm not the only one who liked making her sneak around lol

I round up with pride at the checkout for Autism Speaks, but insult adults who like "Thomas the Tank Engine", and call them freaks.

I want to help the disabled, my bumper sticker proves it, truly, but when they get older, they better not enjoy "Bluey".

I support the autistic, and buy charity merch gladly, but I harass them online over things that make them happy.

There's no way those people could be autistic in any case, because I'm normal, so how could them, and me, be in a common space?

Leading brand charities told me what to look for: kids, often pitiable, easy to be adored, typically male - if they don't look like that, they're surely faking it, without fail!

I trust groups claiming to speak for disabled folks, without a doubt, but when they speak for themselves, it proves they're acting for web clout.

I "light it up blue," so those with hardships won't be silenced, but if I meet them online, I pelt them with written violence.

If they were really autistic they wouldn't and shouldn't have mentioned it! Speaking to me is for equals, I know I'm better than them!

How dare adults speak of benefiting from therapy courses? They should feel terrible for stealing disabled children's resources!

My heart goes out for those with sensory issues, in their younger days, but when they grow up, seeing them happy makes me outraged.

God forbid an adult enjoy things rated for all ages, or draw themselves as creatures from the comic strip pages.

I sympathize with web videos of disabled kid's meltdowns, but I see an adult happily flapping online, I'll run them out of town!

Why should it be on me to stow my righteous hostility?

Those phonies are mocking the plight of children with special needs!

"Autistic adult" is clearly an oxymoron. I browsed a charity website, so I know what's really going on!

Autistic people aren't legit unless they're kids that don't talk, that means adults that use vocal speech are committing fraud.

And as for those with different brains who happen to be silent, why consider their feelings, when they belong in asylum?

Stories put forth by autistic adults, are clearly embellishments, since for disabled people, they sure seem oddly intelligent.

I'm a well-balanced person, doing what little good I can manage, so I lurk online seeking targets to hate and disparage.

Exposing the lies of those that falsely claim to be special, makes me such a good person, that I deserve a gold medal!

So pitch in this April, every penny will be spent well - the cute kids on the posters, need every bit of help.

Their lives have been stolen, only your cash can restore their dreams!

But know, they shouldn't be cared about, after they hit eighteen!
