#Life update that no one asked for but I feel like i haven't been present for so long #chronic pain right? i kind of have it #it's jaw related apparently seems like I have lockjaw out whatever and it's uneven and a side of it has to work a lot harder #to close my mouth so my muscles on the right side of my body are just having none of it #a mouth guard had helped reduce the frequency of episodes but it will take a long time for them to go away #if they do #I'm down to one serious full blown episode a month and a lot of smaller negligible instances of pain #a lot of stuff in my chest seizes up in the middle of my sleep cause i clench my jaw really hard apparently #clenching also potentially the cause of my light and poor quality sleep #it's getting better slowly 💪 #i Just needed to vent my hopes and fears to the ether i guess #no art unfortunately just d&d in my life right now #i did do maps but I'm jealous of them

Is there a sociopolitical power imbalance between the clones and the Jedi? Yes. Were the clones raised to revere the Jedi and unquestionably serve agents of the republic? Yes.

Could a Jedi's position be abused? Sure. I'd argue it's unlikely that most of the Jedi ever would, but it's not impossible. Would a romantic relationship between someone who is essentially an employer and someone who is essentially an employee technically be an abuse of power on the part of the employer? Yah.

But are the clones completely incapable of making decisions?

Absolutely not.

#the question is: does this person have the social power to refuse? #if they do not... how do they achieve that? #if they do #how do you prioritize consent? #and how do you best portray #the agency of both parties? #the characters should acknowledge this imbalance #communicate about it; be cognizant of it #and check in with their partner #I am personally not a fan of these sort of relationships #But DO NOT care if you like them #as long as you aren't infantilizing the clones #and stripping them of their agency
