More Than A Feeling

This was just a random idea to distract me from revising for my exams. I'm slightly obsessed with him at the moment and just wanted to write some fluff that would make me even more sad than i already am. I know I also said that I would be doing a bucky barnes fic but... i got distracted and now can't commit to writing it. I'll probably write it eventually but i can't bring myself to do it right now.

I was also listening to More Than A Feeling by Boston when writing this so... it stuck.

Just a small fic of Steve Harrington and a bookworm reader girlfriend who is also Dustin's sister after their first time and the "chaos" that ensues.

Warnings: Fluff fluff fluff, Suggestive, Both Steve's and Reader's 'first time'

Steve Harrington x Henderson!Reader

Dustin couldn't understand how it all happened or exactly when you stopped disliking the King of Hawkins but he was convinced it would all end in heartbreak. He did like Steve Harrington after he protected them all from all the dangers they had faced over the years. But dating his sister was a different matter.

To say he is overprotective of you would be an understatement.

You had spent your entire life protecting him from bullies and assholes and now it was his turn to keep you from the possible heartbreak that was Steve Harrington.

So when he peaked through the door to your room and saw the two of you curled round each other fast asleep, he couldn't help but feel upset and scared for you. It clearly wasn't the first time Steve had snuck through the window without anyone but you knowing and the thought brought disgust to his gut. He had invited his friends round as your parents were away. He now regretted the idea and wished he had agreed when Mike suggested his house instead.

He wasn't being dramatic, he had every right to believe that you could end up like all the other girls.

Before he could wake you both up, though, his friends had pulled him back and disappeared back into his room to discuss what they had just seen.

Steve, on the other hand, couldn't be happier.

Your head rests on his chest, arms wrapped round his body. A sheet covers you and he brings his hand up and down your arm gently as he gazes at you asleep. He has been like this since he woke up to see you curled round him, hair a mess, no makeup on and breathing softly onto his bare chest.

What had happened the night before had surprised you both, if he was quite honest with himself. He had been ready from the second date with you but you had made it clear that you wanted to wait. He had thought he was ready when he dated Nancy but when the time came, he froze and ruined the moment.

But now, here you were snuggled up close with memories of the night before playing through your dreams as your boyfriend watches over you lovingly. He can't remember ever loving anyone as much as he loves you and all he wants is to tell you, and keep you by his side till the day he dies.

Just as his hand stops grazing your arm, you roll over off of him and wriggle onto your side, still facing him. Your lips pull up into a brief smile before dropping again. He shifts his body onto his side too and props his head onto his arms, watching as your eyebrows pull together and your eyes flutter open slowly.

A huge grin falls onto his lips as you look up groggily with a bashful smile.

"Morning, beautiful." His voice is still husky from sleep and a thousand butterflies take flight in your stomach.

"Morning." You rub a hand over your eyes to try and wake up properly, to no avail.

"I was gonna make breakfast, if you're hungry." He lifts his head off his arm to give you a playful look that is sleepily returned.

He gets up from the bed and tries to track down his trousers and socks before perching on the edge of the bed to give you a soft kiss that lingers longer than usual.

His blushing face then leaves your eyesight and you roll onto your back with a disbelieving laugh, quickly covering your mouth to stifle it.

You were still questioning how the two of you were even together, total opposites from different sides of the school. The King and a bookworm.

You suppose, in a weird way, you could thank the horrors that you had both witnessed over the past two years for bringing you together. But you don't want to give the Upside-Down any credit for your happiness given it was a hell like no other.

You can still remember how much you had disliked him at first, the way he acted, the way he spoke to people, the way he made you feel about yourself. His "friends" had given you hell for years and when he had finally stood up to them and broken up with Nancy, you had seen the better version of Steve Harrington who laughed and smiled and actually cared without any fear of being judged.

As you lie on your back, you cans still feel the gentle press of his hands on your skin, hear the whispered words "Are you sure?". Still feel his face buried in the crook of your neck, hear the hushed laughter when he first appeared over you with a bashful "Hello."

It couldn't have been more perfect and you could smile forever in your new bliss.

You wrestle your way out of the warmth of the bedsheets, grabbing the closest article of clothing to you: his navy sweater from yesterday. The sleeves fall over your hands and you bunch it up in fists as you open the door and walk into the hallway.

Dustin's door is still closed and you creep past, so as not to wake him. He wouldn't quit poking fun at you or Steve if he saw you now so it was better to be safe than sorry to leave him sleeping in. It was the holidays anyway.

You're suddenly startled by the sound of pots and pans crashing against each other, followed by the sound of a terribly hidden string of curses as whoever spilled the contents of the cupboard tried (and failed) to catch them.

When you reach the kitchen door, you can see Steve busy at the stove, pots and pans sitting haphazardly on the counter and floor. Without a word, you lean against the doorframe, arms crossed, and watch him attempt to work the stove. A smile plays on your lips and eventually, you clear your throat quietly to get his attention.

He whips round, only to notice that it's you.

"Morning... again." You murmur softly, still smiling.

God, it was like you slept with a hanger in your mouth or something.

"Morning," He turns away as his cheeks blush bashfully, and you can't help but feel warmth at the thought of making Steve Harrington blush. The thought nearly turns your legs to jelly and you walk over to the stove to keep them working.

You swat his hands away from the buttons with a laugh and stand in his place to turn the stove on, hearing his almost silent "Oh." as you show him how to work it.

His arms snake their way round your middle and his chin falls onto your shoulder, your face heating at the contact. He places soft kisses on your shoulder, then your neck, and you run your hands along his forearms.

"Steve." You feel him hug you tighter at his name and his hum of acknowledgement is disguised by another kiss, "Last night..."

You trail off and he laughs against your neck, moving away to turn you round. His nose scrunches as your hands move to the ends of his hair out of habit and he sways slightly.

"Yeah?" You can tell he's wanting you to talk more and you repress a sigh.

"I just wanted to say I..." You can't seem to finish the sentence as you gaze into his eyes, the whole scene perfectly homely. You didn't want to ruin it with a love confession that might be rejected.

He watches you with curious smirk and you open your mouth to speak again but he cuts you off with a sweet, slow kiss.

Your hands move further into his hair and his pull you closer by the waist. More memories of meaningful kisses and the whispered confessions whilst pressed close together from last night resurface in your mind. The feeling of his hands, his lips, just his touch made your head spin and your forehead falls onto his, not breaking the kiss.

"Oh come on!"

Your brother's voice startles you both and you break apart, Steve keeping a hold of your waist.

Dustin stands in the doorway, his friends lingering in the hallway, awkwardly watching the scene playing out. You feel your face burn and turn to your boyfriend for help, but he seems entirely unfazed.

"A bit of privacy wouldn't kill you, Henderson." Steve grumbles, ignoring the disgust on Dustin's face.

"I live here." Dustin replies matter-of-factly, crossing his arms.

"And..?" You can't help but hold back a laugh at your boyfriend's oblivion and he pulls a face at you which lets the laughter escape.

Dustin pulls a different kind of face, "Well, when you two are finished grossing everyone out, I'd like some pancakes."

You roll your eyes and walk over to him, placing your hands on his shoulders to turn him round. He begins to protest but gives up when you give him a sharp pinch on either side.

"Just go upstairs and do whatever it is you do together there," You give him your most serious look you can muster with a stomach full of butterflies.

"Fine," He stomps up the stairs, "But I'm serious about those pancakes!"

You watch his friends follow him up, quickly noticing the two girls and yell up a quick "Leave the door open!" before turning to return to the kitchen.

Max stops and gives you a look that makes you freeze and eye her curiously.

"Yes?" You ask quietly.

"I was just thinking that the sweater is real subtle." Her eyes move along the sweater and you shift uncomfortably under them.

"I-I don't know what you mean..."

She snorts out a laugh and runs up the stairs.

"Nice hickey, by the way!" She yells after her and you throw a shoe up the stairs that hits her legs.

"Teenagers." You mutter under your breath and turn back to the kitchen to see Steve leaning against the counter, a smirk playing on his pretty lips.

"Want to tell me what's going on in that head of yours, Harrington?" Your voice is quiet and he closes the distance between the two of you in four long strides.

His thumb grazes your chin, pushing your face up to his before he kisses you again, a contented sigh escaping him. Once again, your hands find his messy hair and he grips the sweater with a little more power than before.

"God, I love you." His words are almost hidden against your lips but you freeze and pull away slightly, out of breath from both the kiss and his confession.

A blush creeps up his face and you can't help but smile before giving him another quick peck on his lips, relief filling you.

How can you have thought this man didn't love you enough to say it when he had blushed and grinned the entire morning. You love him to Jupiter and back a thousand times and realise, you had always really known he feels the same.

So, when the words leave your mouth and leave him a blushing mess, you can't help but know that this is your future.

You and him.

"I love you too."

Kinger:

His favorite insect is actually centipedes, so imagine his surprise when he found out that Ragatha is scared of them.

Sometimes since the floor is checker patterned, he will hop from one square to the next one of the same color.

He loves cats, but is also allergic to them. So, when he found out that he basically can't die (other than being abstracted), he immediately got Caine to give him as many cats as possible. To this day, they are still roaming around the circus.

He loves his wife so so much, he basically go nowhere without her, which is actually why they both ended up at the circus. (R.i.p. Queener)

He has always wanted children yet couldn't have them easily (infertility), so his yearn to take care of something is very strong because of this.

Jax:

He steals blankets from the others rooms all the time. Everyone thinks that it's just to be annoying, and while that is half true, the main reason is actually because he likes the feeling of all the weight on him. Someone give him a weighted blanket for Pete's sake.

He shows his love by lovingly bullying people. You cannot argue with this.

Mommy and daddy issues are strong with this one, which is one of the reasons he doesn't try to escape. He doesn't like seeing them, and considering that he was living with them when he arrived, this was actually favorable for him,

He's the only one that can feel pain. No one has any idea why, not even Caine or Jax himself.

He wears eyeliner all the time, but it's so thin that you can't see it at first.

Both:

Jax is actually very clingy to Kinger, he just doesn't show it around anyone besides Kinger. Kinger doesn't mind one bit, though most of the time Jax accidently scares him at first because he will hug him from the side and Jax is very silent.

If Jax starts getting genuinely upset, even if it's not a big deal, Kinger will defend him and comfort with his life. If they are both alone, he will give him his robe to wrap himself in.

They solve each other issues when it comes to family. Kinger solves Jax's daddy issues, and Jax solves Kinger's childless issues. This all happened by complete accident on both parts.

The few times where Jax gets completely scared and/or concerned, he will immediately look for Kinger (and later on Pomni as well). Once he finds him, whether they are alone or not, he will immediately cling onto him and once the danger is gone, it takes him around 15 more minutes for him to let go. Whenever this happens, Kinger becomes seconds away from abstracting due to sheer rage, going full papa bear mode.

Zoey is Korean-Russian. (Dad is Russian and mom is Korean.)

Was a military kid so she hopped to place to place but when her dad was home the arguing would continue. Eventually leading to a divorce.

Her pet hamster and cat kept her company during these times.

Miss Puffy Cheeks (the hamster) is unkillable. Kid Zoey would make up stories of MPC being a tough, resilient military hamster that has a secret life outside of being her pet like Parry the platypus. She finds it silly now but she still can't figure out where MPC goes when she's at school.

Zoey lives with her dad. (she was always a daddy's girl even if she hates to admit.)

Zoey was a quiet but kind girl when she was younger, always a people pleaser and it only got worse in the beginning of high school.

She always got bullied by the jocks of the school for being a push-over, pick-me girl and a quiet kid.

One day they put gum soo far up in her long hair the next day it was ALL cut to her shoulders length.

Later she dyed her brown hair to red. (Cuz red looks cute but also because it gives her SOME control in her situation.)

When I think of Zoey being into indie stuff I think of arty tiktok. (like arthoe, indiekid, vintagecore suff like that)

During All Star Zoey was the girls counselor (by force) and a couple counselors (by force). By the end of it she got sick of being everyone's therapist. She LOVES helping her friends but it gets hard to do so when you have no choice.

Zoey's favorite time period is the 50s, as well is Vito. (the ONLY thing they have in common)

She's also go on dates with Svetlana. (🏳️‍🌈lesbeans)

Zoey also does Svetlana's makeup sometimes.

Zoey likes putting stickers on things and people.

In MZC team (Mike, Zoey and Cam) Zoey thinks she's the mom friend. (everyone is the mom friend.)

In a High school au their friend group is literally JUST Ned's declassified survival guide.

Btw Zoey and Mike are the types of mfs to instead of dancing in the prom they will dance in the rain outside together. (I watched too many 00s 10s Disney shows.)

Cause Zoey was a military kid she had trained with her dad in self-defense. (This is where commando Zoey came to be!) Even though she never uses it, it's still a useful skill.

Zoey is sumwhat able to catch up to Manitoba pace when they hike together.

Jo hangs out with Zoey and Svetlana, they go to the gym together.

Sammy and Zoey are friends and go to the same school (Zoey is two grades ahead.) and they spend lunch together sometimes. (depending if Amy kicks Sammy out from her lunch table.)

Zoey's cat (Fluffy) has beef with Mike because he thinks Mike is taking his mother from him. (Her attention whore cat.)

She does NOT like conflict. Zoey will have a panic attack if people argue in front of her, let alone make her choose sides.

Zoey takes a major in psychology and a minor in fashion.

Zoey and Brick are classmates and great friends.

Brick and her have a lil side project where they make outfits for Dekota size. (she really appreciates it.)

A little silly thing Zoey does when she's bored is that she draws on her or others skin. Mike tends to have the most drawings on him (hands & arms) it grounds him and also because her drawings are cute. She doesn't draw on Cam because he's to afraid of the chemicals in the markers or pen.

Zoey hates the idea of choosing sides so much after she finishes college she moves in with Mike. Not smart financial but at least she won't have to tell one of her mom or dad that she chose to be with the other parent instead of them.

Zoey has a little bit of strained relationship with her parents.

Mal and Zoey would ✨lovingly✨ beat each other up. They're ADHD VS AUTISM incarnate. (Mal hates mfs with red hair and pronouns!! /j)

Zoey is Molly McGee on adderall.

Her and Gwen would get tongue piercings together.

Zoey has a granddaughter relationship with Chaster, a good one but she still try's not to upset him anymore then he already is. (btw no one has told him that Zoey is half-Russian and none of them plan to.)

Zoey take more years in college later and became a teacher; I imagine she's Mille's teacher. After the TDI reboot Mille comes back to class feeling guilty that she couldn't finish her thesis paper about people her generation's psychology but made a backup paper about her own insecurities. And of course Zoey completely understands and tells Mill it's ok to feel insecure but make sure to keep yourself in check so that insecurity doesn't turn into judgement for others problems and trauma. (this one had abit more projection in this. superiority complexes in Gen Z's that "aren't like the others" virus is a real problem man.)

Venus as a Boy

-> hyunjin x m!/gn!reader (can be read either way) -> bf!hyunjin , established relationship -> dumb domestic fluff -> getting ready for an event !! -> bullying each other a little bit (lovingly) -> reader's a fucking SIMP

"babe you gotta sit still or else i'm never gonna be able to finish doing your makeup-" hyunjin stills again, but you can tell he's having a hard time not moving around.

you sigh and turn back to the vanity, cleaning off the eyeshadow brush you'd been using. "look," you turn, gesturing at him with the brush, "we can take a break and i can do my own makeup if you don't mess up yours in the meantime."

he nods quickly and almost jumps up from the chair, stretching dramatically. though, to be fair, everything he does is dramatic.

you hand him a hairbrush, "here, so i don't have to listen to you whining about me doing it."

he takes the brush and moves to stand next to you in front of the vanity mirror, brushing his hair out as you make quick work of your own makeup. he seems shocked at how fast you work, and you snort.

"see the thing is i'm not wiggling around constantly." he just rolls his eyes and finishes brushing his hair.

you point to the chair he'd been in before, "alright, i can finish your makeup quickly if you'll hold still, same thing with your hair."

he nods, "i'll stay put."

you pick up a larger makeup brush, carefully dusting pale pink blush over his cheeks and the tip of his nose. a couple slight adjustments to his eyeshadow and kohl on his waterline, you step back to assess your work.

you're still shocked by how gorgeous your boyfriend is, even though you've been dating for over a year now and have known each other even longer. he catches you staring and winks, and you snap out of your daze.

"alright, your hair shouldn't take too long, assuming you can sit still for like ten minutes." he nods and you grab a spool of thin, white satin ribbon and a rat tail comb.

you quickly and carefully section his hair, after clipping one side up, you take a length of ribbon and tie it to a small elastic, then tie the other section up into a small ponytail.

you section the ponytail into three pieces, braiding the ribbon in with the center strand. when you're done you take another small elastic and secure the braid, then trim the excess ribbon and repeat the process on the other side.

"alrighty, should be done."

he turns to look in the mirror, then immediately turns back and gives you a kiss. "i love it."

the white ribbon stands out beautifully against his dark hair, and his white suit pants and button-down shirt make him look even better. you're once again astonished by how ethereal he is.

you roll your eyes slightly, but can't help the smile that spreads across your face. "okay mr charmer, go get your jacket and i'll be down in a second."

he nods and gives you another kiss before turning and disappearing into the hallway outside the bedroom.

turning back to the mirror, you brush out your own hair and scatter some black flower-shaped hairclips throughout the lightly colored mess of curls. your own suit is black, and your makeup is in darker tones than his is, though your blush is a bit more dramatic.

you clip one end of a silver-black wallet chain onto your folding wallet and slip it into your pants pocket, attaching the other end of the chain to your belt loop. you put in a couple pairs of stud earrings, one earring with a similarly colored chain connecting to a cuff that you secure to the shell of your ear.

you notice a fine, light silver chain still sitting on the vanity, and roll your eyes slightly at your boyfriends forgetfulness. you made sure he remembered the earrings, since you were the one who'd done his hair and makeup, but you left the necklace to him. apparently, that was a mistake.

slipping the necklace into a pocket on your suit jacket, you walk downstairs to find your boyfriend sitting on the kitchen counter, messing around with something on his phone. you walk over to him, standing between his legs and pressing a kiss to his nose.

you hold up the small necklace in front of his face, "forgetting something?"

he blinks a couple times, sighing deeply when he sees what you're holding. "thought i lost it."

you gently flick his forehead, "you almost did."

he sticks his tongue out at you, and you stick yours out at him in return.

he takes the necklace from your hand and carefully clips it at the back of his neck, adjusting how the chain is laying over his button-down.

"alright, we should get going before chan sends someone to drag us there."

hyunjin laughs and hops off the counter, and you jokingly offer him your arm, "shall we?"

he links his arm with yours and smiles, "we shall."

💚 Bruno x Evalina Headcanons 💚

💚 Opposites really do attract. Bruno once thought he’d grow alone, unmarried, without a family of his own. But little did he know what was in store for him when he met Evalina.

💚 She’s an energetic social butterfly and was fairly active in engaging with the community within Encanto— a direct opposite to Bruno’s shy and introverted personality. But they got along pretty well! They both enjoyed each other’s company very much.

💚 She loved listening to Bruno’s stories and always made time to hang out with him after he was finished with his chores for the day. Most of the time, she’d invite him to different spots she found at the forest near the town like lakes, hills, pastures, and other scenic sites.

💚 This little activity allowed Bruno to have peaceful moments far away from the stress of bullies who come after him and how much his mother pressures him as a Madrigal. And they’d spend hours on those “special hiding spots” just talking, or maybe even having a picnic. (One of his most fondest memories was the day they went swimming in the river and jumped off swinging from ropes attached to tall tree branches)

💚 At home, Bruno would write in his journal for hours about everything they did together during the day, and would hope that maybe he’d have the guts to propose to her someday. (This would go on for years before he actually did it)

💚 After long discussions and arrangements between their families, their marriage was finally approved. Alma began treating Evalina as if she was her own, but Alma instilled alot of her ideas of perfection unto her new daughter-in-law.

💚 There were times Evalina would catch other townsfolk berating Bruno and even flat out insulting him— and she just can't let it slide. She wouldn’t hesitate standing up for her husband , and with composure (more like commendable restraint) and wit, she would end that kind of slander on her husband’s name right then and there. (Leaving Bruno with heart eyes in the process lmao)

💚 The amount of times Bruno has witnessed his wife defend him, made him feel more deeply in love with her but at the same time felt ashamed thinking he’d be too cowardly to do the same thing. But Bruno would eventually surprise himself — One day while he was at the market with Evalina, he heard a drunk man whistle at his wife from afar. Bruno can’t exactly explain what had snapped inside of him but before his wife could react, he immediately approached the man (his eyes glowing green with rage) and spat out insult after insult to the man as if he was cursing him. Bruno sounded like an entirely different person that day. He didn't stop until the man eventually ran off, afraid for his life.

💚 At home, Bruno has a tendency for wrapping his arms around Evalina’s waist from behind. It means he wants attention, and he’s not letting go unless she gives him some sweet sweet affection. 💚 After becoming babysitters for their little nieces for years now , they decided that maybeeeee it’s time for them to try for a baby. Evalina would love to see a baby Brunito running around the house, but all Bruno wants is a little Evalina (maybe more than one. He always wanted a large family of his own)

💚 During the pregnancy (and finding out they were having triplets) Bruno spent so many nights talking to his wife’s belly and telling his kiddos all the tall tales of his telenovelas. He would always whisper how he’s excited to meet his children. (Despite all the times he gets kicked in the face by his kids from the womb)

💚 On days when Bruno would get really anxious about not living up to expectations or bottling up his emotions, Evalina would be right there to comfort him. She would help him ease down ( giving him massages or running a bath for him. Anything. Until he’s ready to open up.) He would hold on to her and she’d whisper sweet words. Just to reassure him how much he’s loved and deserving he is of every good thing that has happened to him.

💚 There were nights Bruno would slow dance with Eva. They’d sway to the music being played from the town. And in those nights, Bruno would always whisper how much he loves her and their children. And how he could never imagine a life without his soulmate. This has been a tradition between the two of them ever since they got married, it has always been reserved for special occasions or if either of them needs to be comforted and reassured.

💚 Parenthood took a toll on their energy. As much as they love raising their triplets together, all their work just doubled knowing that they also have to shoulder their other responsibilities from ‘before’ they were parents. And frankly, Bruno and Eva had these moments where they were both too tired to do the things they used to do as a couple. (They can't exactly jump in rivers from swinging ropes anymore now 😭) and Bruno had this lingering feeling that he forgot how to be romantic.

💚 Evalina was feeling the same thing but didn't want to burden Bruno with these thoughts because…. They were still okay… right? All their dates were now few and far between. All they ever talk about were their responsibilities and raising their children etc. When Bruno brought the topic up, Evalina would only shake her head and admit that this is what their life is now. But Bruno and Evalina didn’t want to dishearten one other so they each thought of a plan for their upcoming anniversary.

💚 They planned to meet up at their favorite spot again (like old times) on their own. Evalina prepared a picnic on top of their favorite hill overlooking the river. Prepared candles and flowers too and waited for Bruno. He arrived shortly after her and this is where his cute idea was set in motion— with the use of his impeccable acting skills.

💚 He approached the hill pretending to be out of breath, claiming how hard it was to sneak out in the middle of the night without his mother or sisters finding out. Evalina was confused at first but she played along. He then started to reference old events in his words… that were very familiar…as if he was playing out a conversation they had many years ago. She asked what had gotten into him but Bruno never broke character. And that's when it hit her— he wanted to reenact the day they had their first date. ( awwww)

💚 They had a wonderful evening on that hill. Its like as if they were young lovers all over again. And hours passed by as if they were minutes. Bruno presented his anniversary gift: a well-loved journal full to the brim of his unsent letters and writings to Evalina over the years before their marriage. The pages were filled with loving words of passion, his journal entries of their old dates, and all the things he loved about her. Some pages even had drawings and excerpts of his scripts, some even had longer pages from ends being glued together.

💚 They ended the night with Evalina impulsively suggesting they swim in the river again (Without the rope). Running down the hill giggling and trying to undress along the way gave them both a youthful thrill they haven’t experienced in a long time. The water was cold of course but the moment felt all too exciting for them to even care.

🧸hc for childhood

There is so much so. Jodie growing up, he wasn't exactly well liked at school. Mostly as he was a good two shoes for one, even though the teachers didn't even like him (Undiagnosed AuADHD). Also because he looked inhuman, his sharper teeth and longer ears being the reason for that. He was a lot faster however than the rest of the kids, demons got speed, so he definitely wasn't doing badly there. He could outrun his bullies easily, but he definitely didn't enjoy them.

He also was emo for a few years in his late teens before becoming a cop. How does an emo teen turn into a miserable highway cop? I don't know.

💝hc for love language

This one is fun. Because we'll also be going into how he ignore his love languages as well.

Jodie's love languages are touch, words of affirmation and acts of service.

Going into each other them.

Touch - Jodie is very touchy. He grabs people's hands when they walk. He likes leaning against the person he sits next to when sitting. He sleeps a lot better being either held or holding somebody. Very touchy.

Words of Affirmation - Jodie melts when being complimented, being told he's done a good job or being told how attractive he is (with any word, handsome, pretty, etc). He enjoys giving compliments back too, but struggles sometimes with the words. Usually defaulting to a good job or a you look nice.

Acts of Service - Jodie loves to do things for others. He'll cook and clean for others, if it means it makes them happy, which in turn makes him happy and feel all good.

Now. Jodie also pushes people away. With the negatives of his love languages showing. He pushes others away, not letting them even get close (physically or emotionally), for touch. He talks absolutely horribly about himself in his head, for words of Affirmation. He won't take care of himself, for acts of service. And all of this just makes him feel worse, because then others have to take care of him and he burdens them.

👗hc for clothing

Clothing. This will be 2 hcs, kind of in one. But that's fine.

The first is about textures of clothes. He actually hates the texture of his cop uniform, before he quit (a different hc of mine), and can't stand it. He doesn't like it, but never brings it up. He did wear it through those weeks and perhaps months in faerun. Not saying anything when he was wearing it. He hates the outfit so much. He finds it itchy, and it's way too tight in certain spots.

The second hc is about his preferred clothing choices. He prefers baggy clothing, makes him feel better. He'll wear more tight things. But baggy clothes make him feel happy and calmer. He also likes softer clothing. Despite all of what I said. He almost constantly ignores it and wears tight, uncomfortable and overwhelming clothing options, because if he wears what he prefers, he's too soft and weak (to him)

😶random hc

This one is a bit more Zhao and Jodie related but oh well.

They're not melded together, even if canon says otherwise, but Zhao just doesn't ever take over. Jodie doing everyday tasks and everything. Zhao just giving advice, and also being a total ass to Jodie, lovingly, of course. But Zhao can take control, if he and Jodie wanted to do that. They just don't, like ever.

In his dream his parents are actually home for once and then he meets Si Won in the street outside his house. They have a sweet bus ride, wonder through a park, share a beautiful kiss, and then Si Won tells Da Un he loves him. They never show Da Un waking up but the next day it was clear it was a dream because things were still bad between him and Si Won (Blueming).

Amagi's wet dream about Takara. They're in a room with a plastic like wall and it's all grainy and Takara has Amagi pressed against the fake wall, they kiss, and Takara whispers "Touch mine too" in Amagi's ear and then Amagi wakes up. It's very on brand for a teenage high school boy who just entered into his first serious relationship to have a dream like that. (Takara-kun to Amagi-kun).

Gii dreams about Takumi after they break-up. When Gii returns to their boarding school from summer break he's acting as if he doesn't know Takumi so Takumi promptly breaks up with him. Gii has a very simple dream about Takumi standing at his bedroom looking out the window. He's bathed in sunlight, a soft breeze is blowing the curtains around, and Takumi is smiling very warmly. It's a very soft dream that showed that Gii really did love Takumi and had his reasons for behaving so coldly (Takumi-kun Series 3).

Rome dreams about getting intimate with P'Pick in the shower. Rome has a full on dream that is essentially foreplay with his boyfriend in the shower. Well I don't think they were calling each other boyfriends at that point but yea, they were touching very sensually and the whole thing was in slow motion. It wasn't a sleeping dream, but a daydream (Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2).

Shu Yi dreams of a fond memory with Shi De. He dreams about a time where Shi De is lovingly poking him in the nose in an attempt to wake him for class. Like Stede's a bitchy guy (lovingly, honestly some of his funniest moments when I'm laughing with him and not at him, I love him) at some other points but he's only this much of a dick from the start to Izzy and I don't think the first couple times were even ABOUT Izzy?

Stede is being a dick for the purpose of His Reputation/Self-Steem both times isn't he? He wants the hostages back because he sees it as the clear way to prove he's an Adequate Human Person Pirate Captain and then at the bar he's in reputation building mode too! He HAS to be mean he cannot back down bc he's pumped up to be an Adequate Pirate Captain and he can't affort to lose steam. He doesn't want to fuck it up and also he's having a shit day off the ship both times. Also. He probably likes how it feels to be openly confrontational after being stuck with passive aggression being the most he's allowed himself to be so far! I get him! (He may even like that Izzy snaps back since he says so after the hostage stealing)

Afterwards yeah they're both catfighting over Ed (that "trouble in paradise" comment and Izzy's entire deal lol) or just setting each other off, but by then the dynamic has been established. Even Calico Jack has to do A Lot to get Stede to be rude to his face so openly and Stede hates him more than he hates Izzy lmao

Honestly this makes me think back to the interview W David Jenkins saying that casting Rhys was essential to getting a dickish-yet-likeable Stede, and that with all the actors they tried for the part before Rhys, the character came across too dickish to be sympathetic.

I pretty much agree with your point about Stede having something to prove, absolutely, and Izzy being the first Real Pirate he encounters brings that out of him. Stede wants to be seen as a real pirate by both his own crew and other pirates, and sure, he's a dick to achieve that. But it's so interesting considering his dickish moments with his own crew are more "catty" than anything, reactionary outbursts, sometimes funny for the audience, sometimes less so.

I do like the point about him finally being able to confront a 'bully' but considering what Stede actually sees of Izzy, I feel like Stede is projecting a lot of his own issues onto Izzy here. Is he also flirting or caught up in some good old fashioned Repression in that scene? Who knows. Maybe he wants a romaticised nemesis to play opposite him? Idk man

But I find it funny tho that you mention reputation, because the way that he treats Izzy is so oppositional to the brand he's trying to build when they encounter each other again in ep3.

He's literally The Gentleman Pirate, but he acts like anything but that to Izzy (especially in ep3 onwards).

The Gentleman Pirate, with his "kill them with kindness" attitude, has found an exception with Izzy in that scene.

Again, Stede's going Thru It at that point (but when isn't he tbh) but he's polite enough to both old-mate-behind-the-bar and Spanish Jackie, considering.

You could ague he's just giving as good as Izzy in that scene, considering the way Izzy walks into the bar and straight away is dickish to everyone else, but Stede is still considering their encounter from earlier, and is showing a lot of unfounded hostility.

Not very gentlemanly of you, Stede.

It depends a little but there's always some level of gushing!!! Much as he gets proud of himself for little things, he behaves the same way about me so fkjahfksa in particular to Laplace, Footman, and Tear he'll just start gushing all proudly (and then they probably tease him a little but it's all good natured). Laplace in particular he'll actually intentionally gush to~

He will lowkey gush at his subordinates. Even when he's being formal and controlling himself he'll still speak very highly of me whether it's my combat capabilities, intelligence, or something else that's actually relevant to the situation at hand.

crush — when did your f/o realize their feelings for you? how did they deal with those feelings?

okay LORE DUMP. So Clayman and the other clowns (Laplace, Footman, and Tear I mentioned above!) were created by Kazalim, who was another Demon Lord. They were like a family!!! Kazalim called them all his children 🥺 anyway somewhere before Clayman became a Demon Lord (which was Kazalim's will) he summons me (whoosh get isekai'd by sheer probability) and I join the family as a friend for everyone and also somewhat of a gift to Clayman as his first subordinate. When people from "our" world are summoned into that world, usually a curse is carved into their soul so they must obey the one who summoned them. So I can't disobey Kazalim. Anyway, he just tells me to obey Clayman's orders as if he was the one who controlled me. (Incidentally, when Kazalim is killed later, I'm released from this, but I stick around anyway of course)

Even this early, Clayman has a puppy crush >w< at this point he still wears a mask all the time (like the other clowns do, because Kazalim does 🥺 I love this little clown family), which he's grateful for because he's quite shy of me because he has feelings he's never had before. He's still pretty young (given that by canon time he's like 2000+ don't get me wrong he's an adult lol) so it's new!!! Unfamiliar!!! Scary!!! But he also wants to be friends 🥺 I don't think he'll realize what this feeling is for a bit - but before he becomes a Demon Lord he will. Possibly because Laplace and the others bully him about it (lovingly)- fkjsahfkjhdsa

but yeah the way he deals with it is being a little bit awkward though he does figure it out! And then there's a lot of like you know...making excuses to touch me, or talk to me...not that he needs to work very hard on that last one cause he's my lord and so I need to make reports and get assignments and such from him :D

hugs — are you and f/o affectionate / open about your relationship in public?

We definitely try to keep it hidden outside of Clayman's ranks. Though, admittedly, the other Demon Lords all probably know because it's not that hard to know. We're at Walpurgis (meeting of all the Demon Lords) making soft eyes at each other whenever we meet gazes like fkjdsahfkjdsa yeeeeeah it's obvious.

He tries not to be overly affectionate in front of his subordinates to some degree but like light cuddling in front of them is fine. HONESTLY the reason is mostly that they might all CHEER if we kiss or something so- KJFEWHKJF IT'S A LITTLE EMBARRASSING THAT THEY DO THAT- though I dunno that he would mind that much he likes attention and praise so- well, mostly it's not professional I guess so kjfdhsafhdsak it happens sometimes though. But he has an image to maintain as well so not too much for that reason as well-

However in front of the other clowns and Eva (his maid!) he's happy to be quite affectionate with me. Inner circle kind of thing. If we're too pda in front of Tear though she's going to demand I cuddle her as well HFJEWHFKEW which I don't mind she's Smol (and also as old as Clayman but she's SO SMOL and cutesy she's baby) but Clayman gets pretty annoyed about KJFHEWKHF

God okay, I keep thinking about this post. I'm now fully at the point where I can't fit all my thoughts in the tags! So! Making my own post to add to when I have the urge. :^)

Arthur

Artie is the "thinks a mile a minute" type with more compassion than sense. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania as the late bloomer bullied kid contributed to his awkwardness, but being parentified by a neglectful dad and the sole sibling to stay with him in the divorce didn't help.

As a sensitive, gawky kid, forums and MMORPGs quickly became Art's preferred method of socializing with humans. This is how he bonds with his eventual bestie(/long-standing crush), Juniper. Art's generally always preferred animals, though. The critters in 4-H Club and various strays he'd rescue didn't tease him for being too intense or weird. Unsurprisingly, he was eventually diagnosed with ADHD after being shipped back to his mom.

Car: Disorganized with clear effort to keep it clean but very "out of sight, out of mind". Mostly the front is cleared, but looking under the seats could qualify as a treasure hunt. There's a tacit understanding with everybody he gives regular rides to that Arthur's car is a perfectly reasonable place for a lost item to end up.

The console is a mystery box of wonders! There's always dry pet treats in there, usually little knick-knacks he's found or been given, and often cool rocks from recent outings. It can be a real grab bag, though. You can usually find a fresh pair of socks in there. The one thing you will not find in there is condoms, because the ONE time he thought it would be a good idea, his mom found them while getting a ride and her side of the family was asking when they'd get to meet the new girlfriend ("or, or! boyfriend! Or theyfriend, maybe??"). For months.

There's a lovingly kept bottle of nice lotion taking permanent residence in the console. Like a handmade spice and cedar goat milk creme. Juniper got it for him at like a farmer's market once, but it's become Arthur's favorite little indulgence since. He almost always has a beverage in the car, too. He strikes me as a 99¢ Arizona man (much to Juniper's great judgment).

Very importantly, Arthur also has those organizing pockets thrown over the back of the seats. It is consistently stocked with snacks and spare meds/first aid supplies, because he doesn't trust himself to not have a dedicated place for these things. This also serves as great nibling bribery, because who wouldn't want to be babysat by your cool uncle who has a candy pocket in his car just for you?

Phone: You KNOW he's got one of those heavy duty cases rated for like, a 5-story drop. Potentially with a water-safe piece that he always misplaces. The case is still in rough shape, and the screen protector is consistently cracked or scratched around the edges. It's clear he tries to take care of it, though! It's surprisingly clean and has a grip. He's just clumsy.

There are set custom backgrounds for all the important chats. Usually it's be based on a fictional character or theme he associates with that person/group. Like, in-game screenshots of somebody's MMORPG character, somebody's pet, etc. Arthur means to but forgets to set things for people like coworkers or whatever. His lock screen would be something sentimental, but safe. Like a photo of his fave chicken during a sunrise.

Arthur's home screen, though? THE most stupidly saccharine picture of him and Jun. Like a candid shot of them 'just hanging' as bros do... which is to say, them hanging off each other in the same chair. Looking at each other like it's a Renaissance painting depicting the passion of everyday love or something. Arthur loves this homescreen because it's a nice compromise for the intimacy he wants with Jun but thinks he can't. Juniper is vocally delighted that Arthur is sentimental even in private, but privately wonders if this is friendzoning. Both of them brush off the "omg is that your boyfriend? 🥺" questions this homescreen earns, and the fact that they really do just look at each other like that all the time.

I meet you with this... Bully Mirio very much not ASKING you to marry him. The day after you tell him you're pregnant he shows up to your place with some boxes and a ring and says "here put that on" and you want to say you're confused but you are not you know this man by now. Two days later you have moved into his house, are wearing his engagement ring (cause he is getting that fancy wedding, you're getting dicked down every night now and you only lift a finger to go to school. Everyone in your life loves him and you are still confused how this shit happened. Cause this guy is still a dick! He has not changed his behavior toward you at all since y'all first knew each other except now he's fucking you! He still calls you little cow and while in the womb calls your baby your little calf which while cute you pout at. And he's an attentive father to be! He does all the shit, doctors appts, baby shopping, sets up the nursery, making sure mama's relaxed with 2 orgasms every six hours or so, parenting classes, labor class, brestfeeding consultations. He is there and you are SHOOK and you can't even tell people y'all arent together anymore because the proof that y'all are in fact fucking like bunnies like Mirio tells EVERYONE but your parents is right under your fucking shirt...when you have a shirt on.

no cause the lil cow nickname, and being pregnant too....my mind is going straight to lactation kink, not being able to keep bully!mirio from sucking your nipples into his mouth every morning and night once you start lactating. you whine and say it's for the baby that you're sensitive but he just says the baby isn't here yet, that if he let's you get to full of milk it'll be sore even more 🥺

dean and adam need to unionize against sam, he's been the spoiled baby of the family for Too Long. I think when they start trying to all get to know each other they're all kinda expecting things to be awkward with dean, since 'hey the archangel you're kinda in love with was originally supposed to be inside me' and things to be a little easier with sam, since they at least could trauma bond a bit about the cage, but like. adam spends an hour having a basic ice breaker conversation with sam and he already wants to crawl back into the pit. he thinks sam is so PAINFULLY uncool. he's like dude I was in marching band in high school and even I would have shoved you into a locker. how have you survived this long with the personality of a plank of wood. dean thinks it's HILARIOUS and he and adam end up like immediately clicking. he's so thrilled to finally have someone he can (lovingly) mock sam with. every time the three of them hang out he's like hey adam let me tell you about the time sam pissed himself at junior prom. let me tell you about how sam is 35 and STILL can't do his own laundry without flooding the place. let me tell you about sam's thing with clowns. sam is SO scandalized by this and he keeps trying to counter with embarrassing stories about dean but adam shoots them all down. like, he'll say 'hey let's talk about the time when dean was 8 and burned down a motel room trying to make breakfast' and adam is IMMEDIATELY like 'you think john endangering his life by leaving him alone with you unsupervised and expecting him to know how to cook properly without teaching him is funny? interesting, samuel' but like dean could tell the same story and adam would make a point to crack up, he just Refuses to give sam the satisfaction lmao. they tease this man over EVERYTHING when they're together, sam simply cannot catch a break. Dean and Cas and Adam and Michael will go on double dates and Sam will be like 'Eileen will be in town next weekend' and they'll all be like 'cool!' and then invite her to hang out without him (dean will text him their location as an invitation because he's still a sucker, but only AFTER adam sends a group selfie to sam captioned 'stealing ur girl'). I do also think that from what little we saw of adam's personality he's just simply more like dean, so they probably have similar interests and everything so it's not like they're Only bonding over bullying sam, but like, being able to torment the middle child is certainly a nice bonus lmao. one time sam went on his run a little earlier than usual and passed a farmer's market on the way home and saw his brothers there without him, and he's never felt such pure betrayal in his entire life.
