I have finished reading the latest GIHASM chapter and I am here to let it be known that I am once again wailing sobbing crying about mumscarian.

I feel like it can’t be said enough but the way you write them together… they’re just so soft. The little domestic scene of Scar and Grian cooking together. The implicit trust between Mumbo and Scar as they talk about how they are doing in the wake of everything. Grian trusting Mumbo to be there while he and Pearl preen and Mumbo getting the courage to speak about his experiences with the HA inspired by Grian. I could probably write a whole novel about how much I love the tender affection between them and how absolutely romantic your depiction of them is <3

(Side note: the way you write cooking has really reminded me that I do indeed love to do that)

The dancing scene needs a special shout-out, okay? I had to keep pausing to hide my face because it was just so good. I love your redscape dynamic so much, I think about them often.

The bit about Bdubs’ driving was great too! You got so much of his chapter into such a short bit.

And the parts about Grian’s complex emotions about the HA </3 they were so realistic and I loved getting to see that (especially with the added context of that post about why you named the chapter as you did).

I know you’ve said you are starting to wrap up GIHASM and while I am obviously excited to see what you come up with next, I am definitely going to miss this AU a lot. Every time I get that AO3 update email it puts a smile on my face and I drop whatever I’m doing to go and read it immediately. I love GIHASM so much and if anyone who is still reading at this point hasn’t read it yet I highly, highly recommend you go and check it out!

i love little domestic scenes, even if these idiots wont admit they're in love, they will cook for each other, sacrifice for each other, let each other sleep in and distract each other when its needed.

this is a very minor thing but i feel like in popular media and fic, once a character finds out they like someone, its very fast: attempted confessions, miscommunictions (my dearly detested), etc. etc. my thing is like... i wanted to explore what it would be like to fall in love with your friend over a year and not notice. and what'd be like to figure out you kinda see your nemesis as a friend (and maybe more, as you get to learn more and more about him). and even when you do find out, are you really that quick to turn around and risk something you value so much? maybe, maybe. Im trying really hard to find a balance between the two ends i suppose. its very slow going, but im glad everyone seems to be enjoying the ride? But anyways ya, ya, they are in love, but more importantly, they are best friends :)

(I LOVE COOKING!!!! the recipe for the spanish omelet is a mix between official recipes (putting it in the oven) and my own (adding bell pepper occasionally. it adds flavor and color))

its really funny to me that when i started drafting this fic, my head was so full of redscape stuff. and then i kinda realized i needed to focus on grian, so then i went full scarian mode for a bit. grumbo is the ship i feel like in a way i've had to put on the back burner for most of the fic bc mumbo wasn't "there" for the first half. anyways i love redscape. it consists of one Anxious but sweet man and his Confident but too sweet man wholoves him very loudly (but maybe not loudly enough?). and theyre best friends :) and they were roommates!

<3 <3 <3 i think i havent made it super clear in the fic up until this point that everyone and everything is morally gray, including the like. ig antagonist? of the fic. The HA has good people in it, and it has people who are not so good. everyone has different opinions on what should happen to it, and they are all valid in their own ways. given that a lot of readers were rallying against the HA, i was like :3c time to reveal why grian likes bleaching his wings and why he loves the HA and will always feel mixed emotions about it.

(can you tell i like writing about complicated relationships? lmao)

i have about 2 more story beats to finish off on..... i have also been saying i have two more beats for about 2-3 months. I say "soon", i have no idea how much longer this fic will take to write. for example, i thought of the stuff for this chapter within the last three weeks. so it was a last minute beat add. soooooo idk. "soon" but like. im gonna take any excuse to write more domestic scenes lmao. a meandering "soon"

the lake had always been your favorite part of camp.

to you, it was such a convenient place to be. the lake managed to comfort you through any emotion, like it moved with you. if you were feeling a little down, the water would be soft and slow, matching your mood. if you were there with friends or leo, the currents would pick up, mirroring your rush of happiness.

you found yourself looking out at this very lake, the waves coming in calmly, the sea breeze comfortably hitting your face. you heard his footsteps on the dock, but didn't turn around. you already knew who it was.

"hey water girl" leo said, plopping down next to you on the edge of the dock, letting his feet dangle off of it, but just barely graze the water.

"hi fire boy" you said, looking at him and giving him a soft smile.

he returned it, and lifted his left arm up. you leaned into him and allowed him to put his arm around your shoulder. you put your head on his shoulder, and he put his on top of your head. you two had done this so often, you didn't even need to say anything anymore. it just happened.

"whatcha thinkin' about, pretty girl?" leo asked softly.

you knew you didn't have to hide anything from leo. even if you did, you knew he'd manage to get it out of you. he'd continue asking you about what you were hiding, and would then try to guess it. you always gave in eventually, he just had that effect on you. you didn't like hiding anything from him anyway, it felt unnatural. so you told him the truth.

"im just a little scared for my birthday." you said, looking out into the ocean, noticing how the current was picking up. not in a happy way, in a way that mirrored your worries and quick heartbeat.

leo took his head off of your shoulder and looked down at you. "why?" he asked.

"growing up has always just been a little scary, i dont know." you say, pursing your lips and looking down at your feet, watching them lightly skid across the water.

it goes quiet for a second, the only sound being the waves crashing onto the shore. leo's the one to break the silence. "well you know what, i think you should be looking forward to your birthday."

you let out a dry chuckle and look up at him, "and why's that?"

"cause a little birdy told me that your super awesome boyfriend is throwing you a party, i think your invited, but im not sure. ill have to check with him. its gonna be so cool, like the whole camp is invited, except the jerks, so maybe you are invited. it's totally gonna be better than the stoll's new year's party."

oh gods you remembered that party. pollux managed to get ahold of mr. d's alcohol cabinet and lets just say everybody (over 16, because mentally, you were in cuba) woke up with a splitting headache.

"oh and! i heard he wanted to take you shopping and already got premission from chiron to do it? i dont know, the guys kind of like obsessed with you, it's sooo funny to watch."

and it was. leo was noticeably blushing, and his body was getting warmer. you couldn't help but laugh at him.

he continued to talk about the benefits of growing up, which really cheered you up. he talked about moving in together, having to work for long hours, and hating it but it being worth it when you came home and had dinner together, followed by falling asleep together. he talked about adopting a pet together, maybe a goldfish. he talked about growing old together and always being by each other's side.

the water's current remained strong, but this time it was a good thing. leo managed to pick up your spirits, he always could. you could tell he was enjoying it as well. these pictures he was painting were enough to leave you both smiling and slightly kicking your feet.

"so yea! really, you should be excited to grow up, and you should be excited for your birthday, maybe i wont shove your face into a cake" leo said, finishing the picture he painted of what your lives could look like in the future.

you couldn't help but laugh. it wasn't a mocking laugh, it was a genuinely happy one. the thought of leo planning out your future together was enough to make you want to actually jump for joy. now he was sharing it proudly, oh boy you were surprised your heart didn't run out of your chest.

"you still scared of growing up, mi amor?" leo asked, his smiling beaming.

"not anymore, thank you leo." you said, a grateful smile on your face.

during his talk, he had taken his arm off his shoulder and turned his body to face you, still remaining close. you did the same. now, you sat up and cupped his face. you connected your lips and leo happily kissed you back, his hands resting on your waist.

the kiss was long but sweet, like a promise to your long future together.

just finished watching the new m!r4cul0u5 (censoring so no one whose excited about it stumbles upon me ranting) movie on necklace and i havent felt hell like this in years.

some excerpts of my live reactions from the watch session, trimmed down for general audiences, below them is my raw afterthoughts. for those who liked it and don't want to see it shat on, i kindly request you move on. i am just vibing here and rambling my thoughts on a movie i didn't really dig.

all in all i had a great time my biggest complaint is the extremely jarring singing voice for marinette. and also that it exists. it was an experience. it probably would have been my favorite thing if i was still 14 and had it as a hyperfixation but in my current emotional state and post-miraculous timeline it was a nightmare. i had a lot of fun.

graphically speaking it felt too high res in some areas and not enough for others, the stone textures felt weak but the clothes were super done. the animation had some really good moments and i appreciated some of the camera movements, but in particular when they were running, they failed to get the speed right, so it felt super slow, especially for a superhero. and it had that sluggishness even when it was supposed to be a high-paced scene which made it really noticeable.

although i didn't expect them to be major parts of the movie, the relegation of basically every side character aside from nino/alya and chloe/sabrina to basically just background extras with slightly more interesting character designs was unfortunate. i really wanted to see at least a close-up or two of juleka since she's always been one of my favorites, but it felt like she got less presence than like. ivan. which yeah, fair, it makes sense for her character. but still kinda sucks.

another thing is cn's voice acting felt a bit weak here, and even more anime than it does in the show sometimes, which was unfortunate.

also the bitrate compression really cracked (neg) during the ending.

i can see it being a "so bad its good" movie but mentally im not prepared to watch it until after i meet my psychologist.

also i think the fact that i started rewatching arcane yesterday probably did not help this movie as a point of comparison.

i dont know if i would even give it the excuse of being a good kids movie, it just felt like it was always coming short, but maybe itll grow on me.

i laughed at about two jokes tho (good point & rat's nest) for those curious, so its not entirely unfunny, just felt like it could have pulled itself off better.

the pacing was also interesting to say the least. it was trying to pull an encanto with stylized and abstract musical numbers which helped move things along fast for some moments but for others it Really slowed things down multiple times, and felt like it became more punishing than actively emotive.

all in all,i think im gonna go back to rewatching arcane

toko's cringefail bisexuality, DID autistic swag, and how her passions and genuine emotions manage to shine through even as she is so often either stressed or lashing out, the way kyoko is a massively strong badass with balls of steel and the sharpest reasoning ever and also a really caring and trusting person, the way mukuro's story is so tragic and gut-wrenching as you start to notice just how much she didn't really want any of [EXPUNGED] but only realized it when it was too late and never got the chance to just be some guy after everything she went through

i love toko so much, while the rep is. Bad. her trauma and DID are mega interesting to me and i appreciate that shes allowed to kinda suck and still be an interesting, dimensional character with development (tokomaru kisses each other) AND AUGH shes so interesting. shes absolutely someone i would be friends with honestly. i want to put toko in an epic environment with enrichment. And also i really like that she likes bugs bc i like bugs and so that meanswe like bugs. hands her a many legged beast of the earth!

KYOKO in my head. rotating. to be honest i havent thought much abt kyoko in a while bc of my own biases but i am interested in hearing about her and as i do thh stuff im excited to see more of her character :] i like that shes super duper smart and i really enjoy detective type characters <3 (speaking of thh tho, i may stream me playing the dr games at some point in the future)

MUKURO IKUSABAS guy i named my cat after. mukuro makes me SO INSANELY SAD shes genuinely such a cool character and so tragic. truly deserved better. i think her role in the story is SO compelling and interesting and i think dr:if timeline is SO awesome like pugjpugh. Mukurossssss. girl who just wants their sister to be happy:( even if it means dying and being so sad and making the world so sucks and hating it forever. Mukuro :((((((

a quick thought regarding gun and tay having more followers than off- i don't want to believe it could be as shallow as this, but do you think it could have at least something to do with - like, when theory of love came out (which ive not yet seen though im excited to) ive heard that many people empathized w gun's character more than off's. and with tay, there's a vibe (in a lot of online spaces i try to mostly avoid lol) that people take his 'side' so to speak re. some past drama with new. of course i dont think any of that really matters; but if it *is* for shallow reasons more people follow the other 2, i hope off knows he's beloved and sometimes a fanbase is quality over quantity 😭 some people take notice when there's drama or 'sides' involved but people like that will drop like flies for the most shallow of reasons but the ones who stick around appreciate off / gun /etc for who they are. like you though, i just want off to feel appreciated...

also not to drag this out since youve spoken on it but re. that anon shading off's looks- i frequently have to pause just to gape at how gorgeous & wonderful he is. that photoset (i think it was u who posted) of him dressed as a girl too had me 😍😍 some people just havent got the stuff to appreciate him sufficiently apparently but the rest of us can love + value him 10x over 😌 (p.s. your blog is wonderful & ur so lovely for answering all these asks as you do! <3 )

yeah honestly you might have a point, I do think the disparity of followers that started around theory of love might've been bc a lot of people hated khai (and those people were wrong but that's not the point LMAO.) as for people siding with tay in the taynew situation, they were kinda right though bc new blamed tay for their toxic fans when he wasn't the sole responsible for that lol. I do still feel like it boils down to mostly personality, and the more cheery & outgoing someone is, the more they get loved easily. though I also don't get it at the same time bc off is pretty goddamn fun & cheery but anyways, guess I'll never really get why he's left in the dust like that lmao. and gosh, off REALLY is gorgeous, he takes my breath away every goddamn time! even as a girl he looks better than most of us uhvfgduiuschi :'))) (ps: thank you so much it means a lot!!! ♡♡♡)

Summary: Each if the Avengers have their own way of winding down and keeping thier minds busy, yours just so happens to be performing with your brothers band sometimes.

"Are you nervous about tonight?" Loki asked as he sat on my bed waiting on me to get ready.

"No, not really. I mean it is the biggest crowd weve preformed in front of. But weve been doing this for so long it kinda get to were it doesnt bother us." You answered placing the second ear right in your ear. You had black leather tights on with an off the shoulder stone washed ripped shirt with a white tank top on, black ankle boots with fringe, both wrists had multiple metal braclets on, long dangle earrings, and three necklaces on. Your hair had been straighten stick straight and you had darker makeup on than you normally wore.

"Wow," Lokis jaw dropped slightly as you walked out and did a twirl for him. "I like this rocker look on you." You laughed leaning down to kiss him on the cheek.

"I know how uncomfortable you are around a bunch of people. Im just letting you know you dont have to go if you dont want to."

"Yes and let all those Midguardians fawn over you? No." He said rolling his eyes. "I want to go and see you in your element."

"Fighting is my element. Archery is my element. This? This is just a side hobby." He stands up and gives you a kiss.

"COME ON ROMEO AND JULEIT! LETS GO!" Clint yelled banging on the door. You laughed rolling your eyes.

"I dont like him." Loki grumbled pulling you back into him and placing another kiss on your lips.

"Hes not a really big fan of yours either Mr. Mind Control." You laughed walking to the door and opening it.

"Bout time. You look awesome by the way sis." Clint said throwing his arm around your neck. "We need to go ahead and head that way. Everyone else is gonna meet us there."

"Ok," you grabbed a hold of Loki and pulled him down to you. "I love you Daggers." You smiled kissing him.

"I love you too, arrows. Ill see you there."

Walking up onto the stage you could feel the excitement run through you as the crowds cheers echoed around you. You walked up to the mic and took a few deep breaths.

"You ready for this?" Clint asked walking up beside you.

"Always Birdboy, really just happy to be back on stage. Kinda like an escape from the norm." You smiled adjusting the mic.

"Well its a first time actually having the team in the crowd, not to mention Daggers." He saod making a kissy face.

"Shut up, your just jealous." You laughed grabbing your guitar.

"Oh yeah jealsous of you having such an adorable nickname Arrows." He laughed walkong tonthe front of the stage.

"Hey sibling rivalry, are we gonna perform or are you two just gonna banter back and forth?" Kane, the drummer yelled behind you.

You struck the first cord of the song and started singing, a deafening scream from the crowd started up. As Clint started singing the curtain raised showing you a packed out theater. The music flowed easily, like hopping back on a bike.

The lights came from behind you showing your silhouette to the crowd as you jump hitting a big note causing the crowd to go wild. Clint was getting more into the music as he started dancing and spinning on stage, this was one of your favoite songs to preform, not only did the band get into it but it was a good hype up song to kick things off. You walked to the front of the stage during your solo and looked down noticing Loki standing in the front row smiling one of the biggest smiles youve ever seen from him.

Walking back after the solo was over you went over to Clints mic with him and finished up the song. After an hour of straight performing and two encores you finally sat your guitar in its stand and walked to the back grabbing a bottle of water amd slapped Adam, the bass player, on the back telling him he had done good.

"That was an amazing opening." He said ruffling your hair.

"Thanks, I've been practicing." You said walking off to your group of people surrounding Clint congratulating him on the show.

"Of course, we cant forget how absolutly amazing Y/n looked up there." Thor yelled grabbing you in a tight hug spinning the two if you around.

"Ok, Thor, put me down now." You laughed giving him one more squeeze around the neck before he placed you back down.

"You were absolutly amazing, doll." Bucky said not looking at you but over your head to a group of girls standing just behind you.

"Yeah, yeah, go." You laughed pushing him toward them. "Where's Loki?"

Steve pointed toward the back were the dressing rooms were located. You walked to the one that had your name on it and opened it up being met by Loki shoving you aginst the closed door kissing you breathless.

"That was absolutly astounding my darling." He said finally pulling back alittle bit. "You were amazing up there."

"Thank you. You know we're going to have a couple more of these? You are more than welcome to come." You gave him a glance.

"I wouldnt miss them for the world."

"HOW COME EVERYTIME I TRY TO FIND YOU TWO YOUR BEHIND CLOSED DOORS?" Clint yelled from the other side. "Lets go! After party at the tower!"

"You would think by now he would get the hint." Loki groaned rolling his eyes.

"Come on, we dont have to attened the party. We can spend the rest of the night in our room." You winked opening the door and pulling him out.

ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm back guys! I've taken some time off trying to get back in the right mind set and trying to get back to being me but I'm back now! I havent even opened the app till last night! S4e10 is the first time i want to actually rewatch an entire episode of handmaids tale.... ok wait second time - was it the new “ofglen” who blew up that important building with all the commanders inside and the handmaids outside - that ending was great

First off elizabeths moss’s acting!!! Ive gotten too used to that same dreadful look shes been making for the past couple seasons that... the wide range of facial expressions really surprised me and it just!! Wow

the suspence the whole episode. Nothing EVER goes right in this show. I knew what i wanted to see but i fully expected fred and serena to go free and happy. That back and forth feeling was super engaging

I loved that even though there was that tension between june and moira before, moira jumped right back to trying to fight and doing all the screaming and ranting for june - someones gotta do it and june was too mentally exausted

K like im still confused why everyone can go in and out of the waterford prison so easily and was like.... dooooo they want june to kill him?!?!? Why are you leaving her alone???

And i was so excited like yesssss shes gonna kill himmm - well first i thought she was gonna go to serena and kill her baby

Between jdate and my fuckinuhm. Original characters story “Untitled Villains Project”. the sketches of the comic version ive started is actually my pinned post 👉👈 its like the first chunk of the story, i think half of part 1? yea.

Tldr john fucking Somehow is able t oget into contact with a certain curious scientist from another reality who’d just love to study the Soy Sauce, most certainly not for her own nefarious purposes

John and Dave meet up with the scientist, her name is Boss, and her lab assistant, Toxic, and after a bit of a preliminary Vibe Check where john determines her trustworthy (which Dave doesnt agree with,) the two agree to be taken to the world UVP is set in. from there they stay in Boss’s lab (big old fucking abandoned military lab). John and Toxic are fast friends due to mutual love-of-chaos. John n Dave get to fuckin, camp out on an air mattress.

The day after they arrive, the two get split up, not exactly intentionally; big plot points of UVP are liek. Fueled by Boss sending Toxic to go fetch her “research materials,” which are usually important artifacts

Fuckin side note i guess i have to explain my dumb bullshit: Boss’s, uh, field of expertise so to speak is actually fckin, basically the scientific study of magic and superpowers n shit like that. This shit’s all real in that world. Toxic’s got fuckin superpowers, so do 4 other main characters, whatever. It’s got a bit to do with spirituality, iss Boss’s hypothesis. So she has Toxic fetch important artifacts that might have “energies” to them. The thing is actually way more fuckin complictated than that, this is just Boss’s initial hypothesis.

Motherfucking anyways. So Boss gives Toxic a job to do, and John get excited about how Cool that sounds, and ends up going with Toxic, leaving Boss and Dave alone. Neither is thrilled about this. But Dave and Boss get to have a bit of conversation (while Toxic and John are off bonding and having a good time) and come to a… mutual grudging understanding of some kind. They still dont like each other though lmao

Theres gonna be deeper shit going on but we havent sorted it out yet/tbh havent like Written For It in a while but i still like thinking about it a lot lol

Also pretty sure our endgame is john and dave steal toxic and bring them back with em lmao boss is kind of not nice and toxic would most certainly be better off in Undisclosed. Actually theyd fucking love it. Theyd become a local cryptid im sure. Undisclosed’s mothman is a teleporting spike baby.

Quick briefing on my fuckinuh. Original character story, this one doesnt have a name (yet? Idk lol my work never actually goes anywhere sso who gives a shit). It centers around two grim reapers, Red (26, bi woman) and Blue (22, aroace agender asshole). In this reality or whatever, grim reapers function kind of like low-level office workers. They get told who’s going to die + when by some middle-management types, and upper management only involve themselves when punishment needs to be doled out. These Higher-Ups can be seen as analogous to Korrok; they’re decidedly not human, never were, and fucking terrifyingly powerful. Additionally, grim reapers are sort of .. designed to be “background noise” people. In reality theyre supernatural beings and, uh, look Real Fuckin Weird (the whole deal has a neon aesthetic im terrible at drawing uwu) but most humans just perceive them like extras in a movie. A body’s there but the camera’s not focused on it.

To the narrative: the shit starts when Red n Blue get relocated to Undisclosed. Relocation is something that just happens every now and then to reapers; they usually work in teams, but they get split up into different cities to avoid any strong bonds forming (a counter-union strategy from the Higher-Ups).

Red, Blue, John and Dave end up running into each other for the first time in a McDonalds where John n Dave are getting some 4am “hey, we just survived another horrific monster fight” celebration burgers. John and Dave are the only two people who can see how… strange Red and Blue are. Nobody else notices.

John unintentionally pisses Blue off, leading to Blue whacking him upside the head with a dildo bat. They all four get kicked out of McDonald’s. Dave and Red both are less than thrilled

Blue and John end up resolving their differences, somehow. Red and Dave briefly bond over their dumbass best friends being, well, dumbasses. They all part ways amicably.

somehow-or-other (idk yet) they end up running into each other a few more times, and eventually john invites them over to his place, and the four (plus Amy now!) get to know each other a little better

while there, Blue gets a text about some guy who's gonna die and John offers to drive them to where that's gonna go down. they take him up on the offer and get to have a bit of one-on-one conversation

after that ordeal though Blue has had Enough of people and bails, leaving John to head home alone

theres a sort of mirror-development going on with the five of em. Red, John, and Amy would all like everyone to get along, though theyre a bit tentative about it (John moreso than the other two, actually, jsut cause. well Red n Blue could still be Sauce Monsters). Dave and Blue on the other hand do Not like people enough for this shit, and Dave's not unconvinced theyre Sauce Monsters. he will not trust them until proven he should

the story's kinda nebulous but i got an idea for some Shit going down that involves both Sauce Monsters and also the Higher-Ups to have some fuckin absolute chaos go down.

Dave transitioned post-high school and faked his death for it. People go missing in Undisclosed all the damned time, after all. He moved to the next city over, transitioned fully, then came back as a completely new man. Yes i know this doesnt exactly fit with the “everyone knows David from high school” thing alright, hush.

Anytime anyone brings up John’s old best friend (pre-transition Dave) John throws an entire fit like an overdramatic grieving widow. Full-on sobbing “why would you bring her up?! I miss her so much—” to the point that people just stop bringing up because Jesus Christ That Sure Is Uncomfortable KJHGFDS.

This is a scheme he and Dave came up with prior to Dave leaving, though Dave hadnt exactly anticipated John putting on this much of a performance about it— but it’s stopped Dave from ever having tto hear his deadname again, so hey.

Amy transitioned sometime in middle school/early high school. Her family was super supportive and loved her a ton and most people just know her as Amy. she was super shy her whole life really so. Yeah. people just dont think to bring it up lmao also i Feel Like big jim would absolutely wallop anyone who gave her trouble of any kind

John’s nonbinary (genderfluid specifically) and not exactly Interested in transitioning ? like hes fine with how he is. mostly.

he came out to Dave in high school but hes not out to anyone else exactly. Maybe his bandmates. Probably any other trans person in Undisclosed knows, too, cause theyre safe to tell lmao. Johns mostly a “he/him out of convenience” kinda nb who’s cool with any pronouns but does prefer they/them most. Dave and Amy use they/them when the trio are alone

Also this is a totally self-indulgent caveat that i think would be great, Dave’s actually agender but because he's transmasc and transitioned when he thought there were really only two options, and being Boy at least felt less weird than being Girl, he just kind of assumed he was a dude. It’s only through a lot of (like fucking years and years hes probably in his 30s/40s when he puts 2 and 2 together on this one) talks about gender with John that he realizes he actually feels like No Gender. Masc aesthetic with none gender.

Also Amy came out to Dave about being trans early on in them seeing each other and his response was to get very nervous before blurting out “me too” and then just being too embarrassed to talk about it for the rest of the day. Johns an absolute troublemaker, Of Course. Hes wanted in several towns for absolutely stupid shit. Hes a loner who shows up, causes chaos, gets drunk, does some drugs, runs away if people get too mad at him

He definitely had the same kind of deal with the soy sauce as in canon— he was at some kind of party, somebody offered it, he took it cause why the fuck wouldnt he, now he can see monsters and shit

Hes kind of a mooch also. Like. dont let him stay in your barn man he’ll never fucking leave and drink all your booze.

He runs into Dave when they happen to just, cross paths in the same town. the bullshit John stirs up ends up involving Dave in a way that makes it seem like it's his fault too, and they both get run out of town

after that he just tags along after Dave. hes decided this guy's Cool he wants to stick around. Dave is pissed at first, but not enough to shoot him or anything, and eventually, John grows on him

Dave

Dave also is a loner but unlike John hes simply so fucking awkward and bad with people. He doesnt feel like he belongs anywhere so he just travels

He’s the stereotypical Lone Ranger tbh. He wanders from town to town, solving their problems, though hed deny its out of any moral obligation (it kinda is, a little bit, tbh. He does like feeling useful). He shows up, fixes things, leaves. He's kind of a legend but most people think he's hiding something dark. other people jsut know him as that guy who farted real loud in the middle of the saloon and promptly skipped town out of sheer embarrassment. you know how it goes with Dave

He ends up involved with the Soy Sauce when a snake (not Actually a snake,) bites him. The snake’s more like the wig-monsters, really. Anyway, it injects him with the soy sauce, he fucking trips balls in the middle of the desert, he can see monsters now

He runs into John and shit goes tits-up, as said, but they become traveling buddies after that. he'd never say so, but he's glad for the company, actually. it's nice. hes not used to companionship but he feels a strange kind of easiness hanging out with John....

not sure how the Monster Dave concept will like fit in to this reality but like. trust me i want it in here. I'll Figure It Out.

Amy

Amy’s been living in a town John and Dave end up passing through and she is very curious about these two new Handsome Strangers who claim to fight monsters and just kinda. Persistently tags along til they let her join for real

Her family’s all dead, unfortunately, just like in canon, and she’s been living alone for a few years before meeting John n Dave. she had nothing left in that town to stay for, she'd been fantasizing about escaping on wild adventures for a long time and this felt a little like a dream come true. (Dave still gives her a spiel about how Difficult it is, but really, her fantasies were pretty grounded-in-reality already. i jsut think thats how she is, yknow?)

Shes the first person to react to the whole “we see monsters” shit with a kind of “oh, okay. neat” kind of response lmao

John and Dave fix whatever the fuck is up with her town (maybe that’s where the Korrok shit can fit, who knows) and Amy ends up being integral to that. After, she insists they take her with them because “they need her now” and Dave just cant really say no. John too is very much "the more the merrier!" and hes actually glad to have another person along he loves people lmao

At the start she has long hair but after she joins them she chops it short with a knife for convenience

also she still is an amputee. justt. idk. it was a wagon/stagecoach accident rather than a car accident lmao. just to clarify since i hadnt mentioned it, i wouldnt rob her of her ghost hand or yknow. all of the significance to her character that Missing A Hand has. although also now im going to have to research what was used as painkillers way-back-when, but im betting shes still got, like, her pain pills, they probably had those, maybe i wouldnt have to try too hard there. old timey medicine could be WACK though,

Making some fic-rec posts has been on my to-do list for a while and I’m finally doing it, yay! Currently I have 6 word doc pages full of just BnHA recs. So I’m splitting them up by length and completion, so first up is (part one of) one-shots! Let’s go!!!

Lets start with some classic Izuku and DadMight!

However, somehow, the boy still decided that there was something vital missing. This is fluffy and very cute. No one truly appreciates All Might as much as Izuku does, but 1A comes close. All Might deserves all the love, and this fic truly provides!!!

Dear Mr. All Might by QuizzicalCrow (tumblr: @quizzicalcrow​ ) Rating: G   Category: Gen   ~5,000 words Summary: As the #1 hero for decades, All Might has collected a lot of fan mail over the years. Toshinori tracks down a series of letters that only now, years later, does he appreciate for their significance.  I always love the thought of All Might looking through his fan mail, even if he can’t get to all of it. This was a wonderful glimpse into that AND it was made to be so, so personal and sweet. Go have some heart-healing fluff.

Growing Pains by LordofLies (tumblr: @theangelofchildren ) Rating: G   Category: Gen    ~5,900 words Summary: Izuku finds himself changed by his encounter with the Hero Killer, but changes of a more physical kind are in store for him as he begins to truly accept One for All as his own. Once, he would have been thrilled to look more like All Might, but now those connections are as much a source of anxiety as they are of pride.Or, Izuku wakes up one morning and sees the world through different eyes. Izuku having anxiety and Toshi being there to help him through it and calm him down? Sign me UP. Its also a pretty cool take on how One for All is able to change things about it’s holder. Could this happen in cannon? Who knows.... Regardless, it was a great read!

I’ll Carry You Home by Renesvetta Rating: G   Category: Gen   ~2,700 words Summary: While training with All Might, it wasn’t uncommon for Izuku to be so exhausted at the end of the day that he unwittingly fell asleep without regard for where he was. It consequently became part of All Might’s routine to help his young protégé home. During that time, Izuku may have let loose more than one sleepy confession towards his mentor.  Yes, it is as adorable as it sounds. Its tagged with “self indulgent Dad Might fluff” which is both accurate and appreciated. In other words: Superb you funky little writer!

Simple Gifts by QuizzicalCrow Rating: G    Category: Gen   ~6,700 words Summary: One year ago, Izuku received the greatest gift he could ever imagine. Now he’s determined to return the favor for the one responsible for it all with a gift of his own.  First off, I love the idea of Izuku and Toshi quietly celebrating the anniversary of passing on OfA from All Might to Izuku. Even just taking the day to hang out with each other. It’s a really precious idea. But there’s not just fluff! Izuku finds himself in a fight, again. (cool villain quirk, too!) I love all of the small details that are in this fic (and in Crow’s other works, too!) anyway its exciting AND very heartwarming, so go read it!!!

The  reactions he gets for that are not quite the ones he had anticipated - well, not all of them, at least.  Toshi is LOVED, APPRECIATED, and 1A feels like HOME. how many times can i say “cute” and “heartwarming” on this post?? bc these are some amazing writers, whom I adore, and their writing makes my heart WARM. AND. FUZZY. i mean, even just the first few paragraphs of this one just, really sets the scene of what i like to believe the 1A dorm is (on a good day, lol). its a really nice read, so go treat yo’ self by reading it.

paint me in trust by dinomight Rating: G   Category: Gen   ~6,400 words Summary: The first mark Izuku gets is a slight brush of green across his temple. It’s the soft touch of a mother holding her son for the first time. Inko has one to match, the same shade of green staining the tips of her fingers. Hers is more noticeable; Izuku’s tends to blend into his hairline. He loves it anyways. He has to. It’s the only soulmate mark he has. (Or: how Izuku goes from just green to a rainbow, UA-style.)  Ok, so this fic sort of plays off the idea of soulmates, and does not fit in with soulmates in the usual form of the trope. First off its completely platonic. Its categorized as Gen and sticks to that. Also it doesn’t seem to be as obligatory and permanent as you would think it would be. It seems to be more of the universe telling you who has the possibility of being important in your life. I really really loved this, it was so adorable and gives you that sweet, sweet Izuku angst, before healing your heart with the power of friendship and found family!!!

The Die Has Been Cast by ChiwiTheKiwi (tumblr: @chiwithekiwi​ ) Rating: G   Category: Gen   ~5,400 words Summary: “There’s something about that kid you aren’t telling me, isn’t there?”When no answer meets him, Shouta tries again.“You know something about Midoriya’s quirk that you haven’t shared with me. Is that right?”(Or: A canon "What If" surrounding the latest manga events and focusing on Aizawa finally making a connection.) First off, this fic has spoilers for the manga, so dont read unless you’re past chp212! I loooooooove OfA reveal fics, especially when it’s Aizawa that finds out. He deserves to know!!! its kind of important!!!! This fic chooses a great moment to work off of, and does a great job with Aizawa’s character. I really enjoyed it and couldn’t keep myself from going back and reading it just now LOL

These last two are actually two-shots, but it makes it an even 10! also Izuku and dadmight, so we can continue the theme here...

Some Unspoken Thing by LittleKy Rating: G   Category: Gen   ~7,900 words (2chps) Green, Toshinori has always thought, is the color of life anew.(Or: It's time for Yagi Toshinori to finally accept that he has a son, now, in all but blood. It's time for Midoriya Hisashi to accept that as well.) YES ALL MIGHT! ADMIT THAT IZUKU IS YOUR SON! great portrayal of the characters and really hits the nail on the head for DadMight. and Izuku in this story is just the smallest green floof that you wish to give a hug. i actually dont have any criticism for hmb, because i think its very well executed and jokes are... good... i guess...

a pretty neutral one, bc the songs were kinda mediocre and so was the humour but i really liked joe walker as batman and nick lang as robin

the new style of the lang brothers is very cool and exciting

the plot was very well written, but it felt a bit,,, rushed?

like they were trying to cram tons of information into one play and for that reason i dont really come back to watch it

and at the same time the pace was a little too slow for my liking?

idk it felt a little off

but characters were iconic, acting was 12/10 (especially joey, lauren and dylan)

namjoon - well, tddup!joon is currently a turtle so you bet your ass that lib!joon is keeping him as a pet LMAOOOO my dude would unknowingly keep tddup!joon until he somehow magically returns to being a human. 300mdh!joon is a bit harder to pin down, since it all depends on whether he’s drunk or not LMAO bc if he was drunk, you’d bet your ass that he’d be a fucking dramatic/emotional mess and would wax poetic about turtle joon and lib!joon would have to comfort him. if he was sober, he’d just be a “regular” guy, or however regular a spy can be. overall, they’d hang out altogether just fine,,, like a couple of nerds,,,

jimin - well, you all know how tddup!jimin is like and that bitch is hornier than all my smau jimins combined. he’s so ferally horny that lib!jimin would probs shit himself, though i’d imagine 300mdh!jimin could maybe handle him a little better.... somewhat. they might even get along after a while, though i have a standing theory that all my smau!jimins hate each other no matter what, like that popular clique of girls you have in high school. they all pretend to be friend with each other, but they would not hesitate to stab a bitch if and when provoked. fun times!

taehyung - in contrast with jimin, i feel like all my taehyungs would have a good time together, no matter what au (okay, maybe except for looh!tae but thats a whole different story lmao). i think tddup!tae would get along super well with 300mdh!tae, mostly bc theyre both incredibly chaotic and have a kinda “go with the flow as long as we’re having fun” vibe. lib!tae is just maybe a little more “calm” than them, but he’s always down to clown. tddup!tae would probs bonk lib!tae on the head tho once he finds out about what he did to lib!oc, but other than that... i think they’d all be good buddies. 

jungkook - oh boy where do i even start... i feel like tddup!kook, despite how absolutely stupid he is, he’s still... somewhat morally sound?? i guess?? like he loves his wife a lot (#1 oc simp lets get it) so he’d probs be so angry and frustrated with what lib!kook did. might even hit him with a lightning bolt if we’re being honest. 300mdh!kook would agree and beat the shit out of lib!kook, and then he’d bond with zeus!kook over weeb shit and they’d become the best bros ever. but then zeus!kook will say some,,, weird kinky shit and break the mood so then 300mdh!kook + tddup!oc will have to tie him up so he never speaks again,,, they’d certainly be a very wild trio,,, maybe even worse than the seokjins and that’s saying something!!
