Some of you have asked for this, but I’m writing it mostly for my self while it’s still relatively fresh in my mind so I’m putting it under the cut in case you don’t want to see (and i get that ;) ) also... sorry if you’re on mobile... it did get a little long... ANYWAY:

I obviously always wanted to meet Taylor, I mean who wouldn’t right?! but I never ever expected it to happen to me so, while always having SOME hope that you just NEVER KNOW what might happen, I pretty much accepted that I probably never would. (But the funny thing is I read my June horoscope just in case and it said my lucky day will be June 8th....how did they know 👀👀👀)

Now flash forward to Wednesday the 6th of June, I was sitting in my room studying for my exams and eating lunch when I decided to take a break (probably after 5 minutes of work) I checked tumblr and saw that I had a new message, I thought ‘oh someone probably wants me to reblog their post, let’s see’ BUT NO it was taylornation: CONFINDENTIAL MESSAGE I couldn’t believe it?!?!! And I really do mean it when I say I locked my phone, threw it across the room and then dropped to the ground shaking like?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN TAYLOR NATION

I got my phone back and actually read the message but first I checked at least 10 times that that IS actually Taylor nation and not just someone with a very similar looking url trying to murder me. When I realised that it REALLY WAS THEM I replied to their message and pretty much immediately got a call from a New York number. I was still in shock so I don’t even think I sounded excited the Taylor nation lady (I think it was Erica) was like ‘...you okay?’ ANYWAY she told me what I need to do on the day, and asked if I wanted to bring anyone as a plus one (but I thought that it had to be someone sitting next to you so I said no, apparently it doesn’t!) I wrote all of this down on a post it note while she was speaking because I forgot pretty much the entire conversation as soon as it was done 😭

After that I couldn’t possibly do anything. I couldn’t eat I couldn’t study I just sat in my room staring into space for the rest of the day (and pretty much all of the next) so if I fail my exams I’m officially blaming Taylor 😛 I’m a really paranoid person so I couldn’t help but feel like I’d get to the box office and they’d be like ‘uhhh??? you’re not on the list FOOL go away’

Anyway I had some fun making and reblogging ‘which one of you snakes knows they’re meeting Taylor on Friday? 👀’ posts ;) on Friday I left my house at 8:30 to catch my train to Manchester it was departing from platform 13 😭😭😭 I cant even really remember what I did when I got to Manchester but suddenly it was 3:40 and I had to leave my hotel...

I got to the box office a little after 4 and then after a few minutes I got the envelope with my name on it with the rep room pass inside 😭 that’s when it hit me that THE Taylor swift wanted to meet ME?! For WHAT reason?! It said we had to wait until 5:45 and it was only a little after 4 so I sat around...waiting...still pretending (very well) that I’m not about to meet her.

NOW it was time to line up we were behind some gate or something and they put meet and greet wrist bands on our wrists (where else 🙄) and then we had to wait a little longer THEN when they opened the gate thing the rep room entrance was just THERE?!?! it was such a surreal experience the lwymmd throne, the delicate dress! It was all there!!!

And Taylor right behind the curtain 😭 I stood near the back of the queue because I just really wasn’t READY, you know... I could hear her voice and it sounded so different than what you’d expect deeper maybe?

We didn’t have much time with her so after a few minutes it was MY turn. I walked in and as soon as I did she said ‘YOU’RE SO TALL!!! OMG!!!!’ and NOTHING can prepare you for how gorgeous she is in real life I wanted to speak but I just couldn’t so I just looked at her and flailed my arms a little and she looked at me with this huge smile on her face... and then she HUGGED me real tight and she smells amazing and she’s SO warm and soft 😭

I still couldn’t find my words so I stood around for a few more seconds and I didn’t want them to kick me out so I said I LOVE YOU and she said ‘I love you too, you’re so sweet!’ hHahhahh alright Taylor that’s when I said I need to ask her an important question so I said ‘what’s your favourite song on melodrama’ and she said ‘oh...I don’t have one’ and I said ‘but you have to’ and she was like ‘no I don’t...;) you can’t have just one it’s a sonic journey’ and I know she was going to say something else but I had more questions and cut her off with ‘do you like pineapple on pizza’ and she said ‘...I actually don’t... but we don’t need to like the same pizza to get along, alright?’ 😭 and then I kept like reaching out to hug her again but I didn’t want to be weird so I asked her at least twice more if I could hug her and she said ‘OF COURSE you’re so sweet’ SHUT UP TAYLOR😭

That’s when she asked me if she can take a picture with me and I said NO 😂 and she laughed (WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SOUND) anyway she said ‘the flash is REALLY bright like REALLY BRIGHT’ and then she pulled me into another hug she literally pressed her face right up again mine which is why my glasses look like they’re about to fall off my face. Anyway the flash WAS really bright so I said ‘wow that really was bright’ and she said ‘yeah! I warned you!!!!!’ And then it was time for me to go 😩😭 so she called me sweet and cute again I hugged her AGAIN and she said ‘thank you for coming to see me!!!! See you at the show!!!!’

I LOVE HER SO MUCH WHAT THE FUCK!!! and the show was absolutely AMAZING she’s brilliant

Anyway June 8th was officially the best day of my life (and I hope none of you read all of this because 😬) Taylor REALLY is trying her best to meet as many of us as possible

Update about absence: or making fun of a cripple!

I know, I say that as if it were a bad thing... because it really is. Learned the hard way, how vicious a crutch swing can be. So don’t try it. Some impaired guys have a impaired sense of humor as well.

Good news: I no longer need a sling, but I still can’t shoot a rifle, though I can throw grenades with my good arm.

Bad news: I will not update this blog in a long time, ‘cuz I can’t be arsed. That’s the short story, for the long one, keep on reading and cancel all appointments before doing so. I tell you it’s long.

Post surgery recovery was a hard time, though I am used to pain (I am married). I got prescribed powerful painkillers, a synthetic oppiate. I never took drugs in this life, so I was looking forward to getting high paid by the taxpayer, but unfortunately having been born and raised until age five in a polluted industrial town up north in the days of leaded gasoline and where "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel”, think like Mordor or a hive-city from WH40K, though not nearly as bad as Manchester or Detroit.

So from an early age seems I have developed a strong inmunity to all kinds of toxics (including yocaine), so I can’t get high and I have to drink way too much to get inebriated, on the plus side I don’t have hangovers or they are mild.

I experienced insufferable pain and suffering (Christmas meals with the family and in-laws are like that) but I could get through with lots of wine. Later I got prescribed a coktail of various others drugs that help a little with the shoulder pain (family can’t be helped), and  sleeping. The only side-effects apart from the eye twitching and drooling is a little mental confusion, nothing serious, really, yesterday I threw out the laundry and put the trash inside the washer. And  sometimes when I go to pick up my 3 year old girl to school, I get confused, but if I pick up the wrong kid they scream and kick.

It only happened twice.

After my disapointing experience with drugs, I will stick to my  tried and true favorite liquors: Old Organic Poison, Ancient Paint Solvent, Battery Acid...

...and vodka! 

So all this rambling  to tell you I can’t type for long, well I can, but slowly, and this gallery is just a side blog, my main interest (obsessive compusive disorder) is to collect and share paintings about things that go “bang bang! ratatatatat! KA-BOOM!”

This blog is pretty much the same, except adding sharp and shiny pointy things, things that go fast ( “Tha red un's go fasta!” ) and sordid and indecent content, according to tumblr, and I say that as if it were a bad thing.

I have lots of crap, er, nice colorful pictures to post here. Unfortunately, cataloguing them and giving them a semblance of law and order let alone photochopping them is such a chore that I do not feel like it right now. So I am just reblogging stuff from others as bookmarks, I got the tumblr app in the mobile, and it’s more productive  thing to do than obsessively clicking to see the latest likes like a laboratory rat clicking on the lever of the heroine dispenser.

I will be back, when you least expect it.

A/N: Hey guys, it’s Duncan here! This is my first reader-insert for this blog, so I hope you like it! I apologize if Shiro seems kinda off, but I do hope you enjoy it! Also, if this gets posted twice or something, please let me know. Tumblr mobile is a glitchy piece of crap.

It was supposed to be a simple mission; a quick takeover of a small, unimportant Galra outpost on the fringes of a distant galaxy.

Everything had been fine at first; Shiro and the team had landed on the surface, with you not far behind in your own ship. No one had greeted the six of you, no alarms had gone off.

It was quiet. Too quiet.

But you were never one for smelling traps, and had brazenly insisted you guys continue, charging headlong towards the base.

He should’ve known something was wrong.

He should’ve known the Galra would be smarter than to leave even a small base completely undefended.

But he hadn’t. He'd allowed himself to let his guard down, and you had had to step in. And now you were stuck here, in a cryotube. Eyes stuck shut, limbs unmoving.

Had Shiro not known any better, he would’ve thought you dead.

“Shiro?”

Shiro turned to see Coran approaching him from behind. “Hey, Coran,” he sighed, turning back to face your still form.

Coran came to stand beside him. Together the pair stared up into the tube, neither one saying anything.

After a while, Coran spoke. “You’re in love with her, aren't you?"

Shiro blinked, his face flushing as he turned to face the Altean. “I-I…uh…how did..?”

Coran fixed him with a serious look. “No one would wait so long like this for someone they didn’t love,” he said softly.

Shiro sighed, folding his arms across his chest. “I just…I should’ve known. I should’ve known it was a trap. If I had just paid more attention…”

Coran put a hand on Shiro’s shoulder. “Don’t blame yourself,” he said. “(Y/N) did what she had to do to protect you.”

“I know,” Shiro said, looking back up at your body. “I just wish protecting me didn’t always come with such severe consequences.”

It had been about three weeks since you’d left the cryotube, and quite honestly, you were about ready to stab someone.

The moment you’d stepped out, Shiro had run up to you, asking question after question to make sure you were alright. You didn’t mind that part, to be sure; you did like the man, after all.

No, the issue you were having came after that.

Everywhere you went, Shiro was almost always right beside you, worrying about the tiniest thing, from a hangnail to one of the lions somehow toppling over and crushing you underneath. It had been cute at first, but now it was rather annoying.

But to top it all off, Shiro had put you on castle arrest, refusing to let you go on a single mission with the team. No amount of arguing or whining or pleading had swayed the black paladin’s mind, and so here you were, three weeks later; bored and angry and a little bit hurt that Shiro no longer trusted you to go on these missions. Heck, he wouldn’t even tell you why he didn’t want you coming with!

You sighed irritably, stretching out on your bed and staring up at the ceiling. “When I see that man, I’m gonna rip him a new one,” you muttered to yourself.

Almost as if on cue, Coran’s voice could be heard throughout the castle’s communications system. “Paladins! We have a visual on rest of that Galra fleet from Thetarex!”

You sat up suddenly, an idea forming in your brain. Maybe if I make a scene in front of the team, he’ll be pressured to let me go with!

Immediately you leapt out of bed and ran out of your room, racing down the castle corridor until you reached the lion bay, where Shiro and the team had just arrived.

“Shiro!” you yelled, running over to him.

“(Y/N)? Shiro said, turning. “What is it?”

You came to a halt in front of him, took a moment to catch your breath, and then put on your best puppy dog face. “Shiro, can I please come with this time? I’m all healed up! I can fight!”

Shiro placed a hand on your shoulder. “We’ll handle this,” he said. “There’s not too many out there; there’s no need for you to risk yourself.”

You quickly shrugged off his hand, both for dramatic effect and out of legitimate fury. “Why are you always like this lately?!” you snapped, making sure to raise your voice. “There are dozens of Galra battle cruisers out there! This battle would end a lot sooner with my help!”

“I…” Shiro hesitated, uncomfortably aware of the other Paladins watching the exchange. “(Y/N), please, don’t do this right now; people are staring-”

“I want an answer, goddammit!” you yelled, unable to fight the tears that had crept into your eyes. “You know I can do this!” you cried. “So why won’t you just let me?”

“You could have died!” Shiro yelled, his normally calm composure gone to parts unknown. “You almost died trying to save me, and I can’t have that happen again!”

“So?! Lance did that and you let him fight!”

“(Y/N), this is different-”

“How?!” you demanded. “How is it different?!”

Shiro started to answer, but then suddenly turned and waved the other Paladins out. “Go…take care of the cruisers,” he sighed. “You shouldn’t need Voltron.”

You scoffed in indignation at this, crossing your arms across your chest as the other four Paladins took their lions and left. “Keeping yourself behind doesn’t make up for it,” you snapped.

Shiro sighed, not meeting your face. “(Y/N)-”

“What?” you said flatly, glaring up at him.

Shiro hesitated, then glanced back up, his eyes staring into your own. “I don’t want you fighting again because…because I love you.”

You blinked, feeling your face begin to heat up. “Wh…what..?”

Shiro took a hesitant step towards you before cupping his hands around yours. “I love you, (Y/N). And I don’t know what I’d do if I lost you. So when you nearly died trying to save me, I just…I panicked. I couldn’t risk losing you. I’m sorry.”

You stared up at the man, feeling your heart rate increase to about ten times it’s normal rate. You opened your mouth, but words failed you, and nothing was said.

Shiro winced, taking your silence as a sign of rejection. “I-I’m sorry, (Y/N). Forgive me; I shouldn’t’ve-”

In the spur of the moment, you leaned forwards and pressed your lips to Shiro’s in a passionate kiss. The Black Paladin’s body went stiff with shock for a moment before loosening up as he returned the kiss.

You pulled apart, taking one hand and placing it on Shiro’s cheek. “I love you too, you idiot. Why do you think I was so upset when you wouldn’t let me join? If something had happened to you, I…I don’t know what I’d do.”

Shiro sighed. “Alright,” he said. “I suppose it is unfair to keep you here…”

You stared up at him in shock, hope rising within you.

“…But only if you promise to be careful.” He fixed you with a serious look.

You smiled, relieved that he was finally letting you rejoin the team. “Only if you do the same.”

Shiro smiled back and tilted your chin up to face him. “It’s a deal,” he said before giving you another kiss.

1. What can’t you sleep without? My phone. Literally I use it as an alarm clock xD 2. What are your favorite kind of socks? :0 I like big fluffy warm ones – and also I like skiing socks because they fit really tightly and they’re also super warm xD 3. What’s your favorite snack/meal/drink? Atm I am very weak for cookies (I have… phases. At one point I ate so many gummy bears that now I just cannot), my favorite food is lasagna and my favorite drink is water or tea (no milk, no sugar, I dislike sweet drinks except if it’s hot chocolate xD) 4. What’s your favorite kind of weather? …do you know the artist Yuumei? A lot of her pictures have spectacular skies that are like… the sun breaking through dark clouds after a storm? That. That’s my favorite weather. It’s so… motivational and  hopeful? Idk, but I love it. 5. What do you like to listen to/do to relax and feel better when you’re upset? I love the songs from musicals because they’re great to sing along to and singing always improves my mood :D I have endless love for Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera and Hamilton atm. Also what always helps me is, in my mom’s words, to “talk to someone who doesn’t hate you”. Because I tend to hate on myself a lot when I’m upset (for not being better, happier, healthier, enough) and it helps to talk to my friends, who objectively don’t think I’m as awful as I tend to think I am ^^ And they’re all really kind and understanding (and/or blunt when I need someone to tell me to snap out of it). 6. What’s your favorite store to shop at? HOO BOY ok I love bookstores (because duh, books) and lately I’ve also been loving Muji a lot? xD Also we have an art supply chain here in Germany that has GREAT STUFF and I always go overboard xD 7. What color do you wear the most? Black probably, but that’s because most of my pants/leggings are black. Other than that I own a lot of blue and also a lot of red, esp. dresses :D 8. What’s your favorite (video/board/social/party) game to play? That’s hard?? I don’t play a lot of video games but I absolutely adored Undertale. Funnily enough we play card & board games a lot when we meet with my old friends from school, but tbh I don’t have a favorite. I recently learned how to play Skat, which is really enjoyable? (Google tells me apparently that’s mainly a German thing, ok.) And, eh, I’m not a big fan of parties & party games ^^ 9. Any guilty pleasures? When I have time, I watch objectively bad or cliché anime and write commentary xD Also I spend way too much time playing The Sims if I’m totally honest... and scrolling through my dash. Damn. 10. If you could go anywhere (in real life or in fiction), where would it be? Or fiction??? HOGWARTS?!?! Teach me all the magic pls?! …ok but for real though I would love to visit some of my online friends :’)
