Summary:  Then it’s Ben and Mike taking him to the amusement park, and Richie and Stan taking him out for brunch, and Beverly and Bill taking him for ice cream, and all of the Losers taking him  back to the sushi place and splitting the bill without him involved. Whenever Eddie tries to go back to looking for a new job, he barely gets ten minutes in before someone comes to distract him with shopping, or eating, or even sex. The Losers’ strategy is pretty apparent, but it still takes Eddie a good three weeks to realize what they’re trying to do, shooting up in bed one morning at the crack of dawn to shriek, “You guys are making me your sugar baby!”

Like he isn’t wearing a silk pajama set, matching robe hung up on the door hook; like there aren’t hickeys and bruises pressed into his thighs, scattered across his chest. Like the Losers haven’t been spending inordinate amounts of money on him. From the right end of the bed, on a yawn, Stan: “Congratulations, Eddie. You’re officially the  last to know.”
