energy update 🧿: 8/18/23
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things are getting real out here for real so I decided I’d give you guys an energy update and some guidance from spirit because I’m sure they’d be helpful and you’d find some peace in this reading today. So many things are shifting, we’re all undergoing so many changes and experiences and I pride myself in my ability to bring people guidance, help them understand what’s going on, confirm their intuition, and validate their experiences and beliefs. In my own life, I’ve got a very intricate and complex story of my own that I live with and alchemize to the best of my ability and draw my power and motivation from to continue striving forward and striving towards better. I want many things in life but what I want most on a soul level is a better world and I live my life every day setting forth the energy and taking actions that resonate with that goal.
When things get hard for you and you feel alone or like you’re the only person on the planet that is struggling or having a hard time to the extent that you are take power and peace from the important fact that as a collective we move through these energies and challenges together and are always in connection with another. Not to invalidate yourself and find proof that there are others in the world who are suffering as well therefore your problems are worth less but to validate yourself in knowing that we are a collective and we are breathing and pushing through this as one. 🤎

i.
I see you purging a lot of internal energies here pile one. There’s an energy here of someone coughing up a lot of stuff they’ve had within themselves buried deep for a long time or a lot of things really coming to the surface they hadn’t seen in themselves before or things they hadn’t seen in themselves in a really long time. And all of this is coming up for a good reason because you can’t take it with you into the next step of your life. Things could feel very unstable for you at this time as well. There are a lot of insecurities coming to the surface here and maybe even aspects of someone’s shadow self and they’re really taken aback by this or are unaware of where these things are coming from. You could be experiencing a lot of shame lately as well attached to certain habits you have or there are self-limiting beliefs attached to your relationships and connections and the way you show up in them or in the way you think of these people or your connection with them.
There’s something about this energy that I’m having a hard time tapping into and really truly understanding. It seems to be like you’ve been in a very confused energy. This hurtle you’re getting over is very large and complex. I’m hearing something about someone’s home life as well being significant within this part of their lives or even just foundations in their life. People who’ve been around you a long time (ex. Parents, friends, lovers, etc.) and your connection with them and how those relationships affect you and other aspects of your life and being, I’m sensing some sort of cataclysm or some type of coming undone of something or some type of rising action leading up to or towards something here. Spirit is telling me about these things from your past or these things that have come from deep within that are coming up because there is a reset in store for you or a new life you’re about to receive. I’m hearing “things get worse before they get better” or there’s a deep internal purging happening for your greater good.
There are questions coming up about when and how things occurred and what really happened. You could be thinking back on past events or things that have happened in the past or you’ve been in this energy of digging up things. The reason behind trauma you have, how certain events in your life that caused a lot of trouble came to be, what type of people you were around, and the things that happened while you were in communication with them. I chose this young girl for the cover of pile ones pile. The inner child is very significant. The past is very significant. I’m hearing, “push. push. push.” Things could’ve been rough for you lately or you could’ve been incredibly tired or drained of energy for whatever reason but there is this need to push through and overcome and your spirit guides, I’m talking everyone, deities, guardian angels, ancestors, the divine mother. Everyone is in your ear collectively pushing you on and telling you to trudge through whatever this mud is. Life as you know it is coming. You are to be born again.
I’m hearing you hear the guides too. You’re very spiritually connected at this time. Their power runs through you. And I’m getting you could’ve been sent some kind of bad juju or people could’ve been working with deities or entities to send you trouble and misfortune and really squash your power but even these spirits want to stand behind you and support you. There’s a very powerful energy radiating from this group here. Someone has a very powerful lineage or is destined for something very big and the ancestors are not playing about you anymore they're tired of people and things bothering you or trying to stand in your way and knock you down. All these delays and all of this stuff that's come up is for a very good reason. It’s like you’re being blessed and all of your problems and anything that weighs you down and keeps you stuck is being dragged out of you. You’re coming into all your power. The spirits are getting very excited. There is about to be a celebration.
Spirit sees how energetically drained you’ve felt, how unable to do what you need to do you felt, how tired, how open and vulnerable your mind has been these past couple of days to negative thoughts and heavy emotional distress. I’m hearing a lot of you thought this energy was your own as well. There was a dangerous combination of natural purging occurring and for some of you whomever this person was doing magic on you or sending you evil eye and bad juju but you’re learning to take the energy sent to you and reel it in and turn it into your own. People are waiting and watching trying to see if you come out of this unscathed and you will because you’re protected and you’re divine. You’re being heavily advised to put your energy and your power into building this empire for yourself. Your success is brewing. Spirit wants you to take your ambition and feed it into leveling up and expanding. It’s about to be a whole new you.
With this moon card in reverse you’re releasing these fears, you’re letting all this stuff come up and you’re being empowered by it. Im hearing someone doing an evil laugh. Someone’s little villain era is coming. Justice is coming. This is not a drill. You’ve been talking to the spirits. The greats are reaching out to you. Answer the call. Your spirit team is growing. You’re about to be untouchable. Remember in The Princess and the Frog when Dr. Facilier was talking about how he had friends on the other side? This is exactly that energy lol.
𝐴𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛: “𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑤.”
***
ii.
Spirit has a lot of messages for you. I didn’t ask for this many cards but they were adamant on the amount they gave me. I’m getting this urgency or this high priority. You need to hear this they want you to receive it. They gave me 11 cards. 11 is a very powerful number all on its own. But as a soul number, it is magnificent. this blew my mind on a personal level. I see you working on something, this is big, it’s personal. You could be doing a lot of inner work or you could be really growing or preparing for something or all three of those things but there’s an energy of preparation, getting ready to receive a large blessing or getting ready for something big to come into fruition for you and preparing yourself to be the person you need to be to receive it. And I hear you’re working on this behind people's backs or you’re real quiet like about it. 🧿. I’m hearing you get what it means and how important it is to keep things private in order to protect them while you’re waiting for them to come to fruition for you or grow.
You’re about to come into some money here, you’re about to step into this big provider energy or you’re working on your finances so that you could be this figure. Some of you or building lives for yourselves in general, for some of you, you’re masculine energies and you’re building yourself up and getting your money and finances together to give someone the offer of a lifetime. There could’ve been a lot of inner conflict that you had and held onto that kept you from having something you truly wanted or getting this key wish fulfillment in your life and this time is coming to an end for you with this five of wands in reverse. You could’ve been holding onto a karmic lover as well or karmic people and karmic cycles and you’ve just about dropped all of this. I’m getting the energy of you casting these energies out or exorcising these energies out of your life and from within you.
And there’s conflict here regarding whatever it is or whomever it is you’re getting rid of cause whatever it is or whomever it is has their claws in you deep or it doesn’t want to let go of you because they sense that you’ve got big energy and you’re destined for great things but these people and things are leeches and energy vampires and I’m hearing you really don’t give a fuck at all. You’re ready to finally go to war behind your peace and behind what’s yours. You’re coming into your power and seeing your strength here. You’re manifesting your happiness. In life, in love. And you’re ready to receive it. There are very big gifts and very big wish fulfillments coming in for you or that you desire. And using the word happiness doesn’t feel big enough or even like it fully encapsulates what type of abundance, peace, and wholeness we’re talking about coming in for you. This is huge. Things are about to shift drastically. I’m hearing in a week or a month. And once those floodgates open the abundance isn’t going to stop flowing in. Like I’m getting a high flood warning here or a tsunami. It’s gonna wash anything in its path away.
Whatever these karmic people or relationships are or energies are, they’re gonna come crashing down very soon. Expect it. And I’m hearing you’ll be unscathed by this because you know it was time and behind this gigantic tower of karmic energies lies a bright meadow. You will be able to watch the sun being born. Any type of inner confusion and illusions will be done for and dealt with. Your spirit guides and ancestors are going to finish these people and these energies off, pack your shit and they’ll handle the rest. There’s a car waiting for you outside. You’re taken care of and protected. You’re gonna be in tune with your intuition, with the divine mother (God), with your higher self, with your ancestors as these events have birthed a spiritual awakening for you. Your time is now. Nothing can stop you where you’re going. Any type of heartbreak. Any blockages. Any type of feelings of shame or disappointment and anger. Will be washed away and gone forever. Your divine feminine is coming (or divine masculine). In separation? Not anymore. No contact? No. Union? Yes. Spirit is having all your boxes checked for you.

iii.
Spirit is telling me that you’ve been harvesting a lot of ambition. There is something that you want. A lifestyle you desire, a connection, whatever this wish fulfillment is you’re very determined to get it. You have to have it. It will be yours. You could be working very hard towards financial independence or are manifesting financial independence and spirit is telling me that money is necessary to get where you want to go or to give yourself the opportunities that you want within this life. You could’ve come from poverty here or there’s some type of aspect of your early life or some type of conflict in these foundational areas in your life that bring about this manifestation or this desire to be abundant and have these things for yourself.
There’s something coming in here too about you finally having the energy and the true desire to evolve and express yourself and show yourself to the world. You could’ve talked about these manifestations or talked about your desires a lot and may not have taken any action towards these dreams or put as much energy as you could’ve into these manifestations but that’s not going to be your reality anymore. Like I’m hearing you’ve had a sudden realization or some type of power up or something happened around you that really pushed you into this space of self-awareness and self-growth. This could’ve been some sort of large loss. A loss of a connection or something incredibly significant that you could’ve sucked a lot of energy from or kept yourself supported against.
You could’ve lost a friend or a lover or a family member that you really leeched off of (even if you weren’t consciously aware) this person gave you a lot of validation, gave you a lot of energy, or really kept you in an energy where you weren’t tuned into the energetic frequency to tune in and understand what you needed to do, how you needed to change or wake up to realizing that the life you were living, the habits, the mindsets, the behaviors you held onto weren’t good for you and weren’t going to get you the happiness and abundance you’d been asking spirit and the universe for. This person pulled themselves from underneath you and it may have really shaken you up and sent you into a dark night of the soul and really shone some light on your shadow.
But now that this mental clarity, this breakthrough, this newfound perspective, and understanding have been bestowed upon you, you’re stepping into your power and mustering up the energy and the courage to completely transform your life. You could’ve played a significant role in this person's life and could’ve been the villain in their story or simply just weren’t able to be the best person to them at the time that you knew them and it was within your path and within this persons divine purpose to shake things up for you and teach you a lesson by taking their leave. Your nine of cups is coming. Finally, you’re going to be happy and content in life or be able to have something to show for in all areas of life and be able to truly curate the lifestyle and the experiences you want for yourself.
This situation was meant to give you courage and push you into the action you needed and open up your mind so that you can improve and do better.

iv.
Some of you have been disconnected from a connection that has played a large part in your life or kept you in one place, physically speaking or emotionally and spiritually. This could’ve been someone who contributed to self-limiting beliefs and insecurities within self and/or played a role in your life that brought to light any self-limiting beliefs and karmic energies or aspects of your shadow self. I see someone recovering here or coming to terms with some sort of ending or coming to terms with some sort of truth that was revealed to them in terms of this connection and in terms of their own belief systems, behaviors, and views of self. You could feel very alone right now and may even be in an energy of pessimism or be incredibly worried or anxious at this time due to rapid change and not knowing where you’re headed or what’s going to happen next.
But, this person, this connection or whatever this is that you’ve been disconnected from was divinely orchestrated and you’re being realigned or your path here or I’m hearing rerouted and turned around. Whatever this was, was meant to be temporary for you and you weren’t meant to keep it. I’m hearing it’s not yours to keep. If this is a person, they could’ve not done anything inherently bad to you or said anything hurtful or harmful but they could just have simply not been super into you or your energy and may have left you feeling very needy and unheard and unseen oftentimes. I’m getting that this person isn’t YOUR person or your divine counterpart and this is why they aren’t deeply connected to you and this person may hide this from you or be very guarded and out of reach. This relationship or this person was meant to send you into hermit mode, into isolation so that you can see yourself and identify what needs to be worked on and be pushed into self-growth and expansion.
You could’ve gone out of your way to keep this person or bent over backward to try to keep this person in your energy and may have really stepped into a side of yourself that isn’t very good at making decisions or who doesn’t value herself/himself and behaves in a way that reflects that. Everything that’s come up and is coming up is for a reason, for you to look at and see for yourself because whatever this is has caused a bit of a tower moment for you I’m getting. This person or whatever this is could’ve been taken from you already or you could be on the verge of disconnecting with this person or breaking up with this person. I see you being very exhausted, burnt out, and confused. You could be really in your head about this or really heavily thinking about what’s going on within your connection or the things about you that have come to the surface.
There may be conflict about this situation with this person. I’m hearing arguments or disagreements or this really heavy push-and-pull dynamic. You could be pulling this person, trying to remove blockages and barriers and they’re pushing you away further and moving further away from you and you may be feeling a lot of loss and heartbreak regarding this situation. I hear you being very frustrated and not really truly understanding why you’re experiencing what you’re experiencing. And it has everything to do with you and your own shadow and self-limiting ideas and beliefs. This person reflects back to you, your own karmic energies. When you decide to hold self-respect for yourself and release things that are no longer serving you and take the leap and make that decision to be done with this because you’re no longer choosing to live this way or accept this for yourself things will begin opening up for you and you will then have time for yourself to grow the way you’re meant to. This person is a karmic. They may not be intentionally or consciously causing you harm or mirroring back to you your own karmic energies but they need to. You and this person are and were teaching each other important lessons. You’re teaching them the reality of choosing to be where you do not truly desire to be. And they’re teaching you what it feels like to not be valued and that it is your choice to continue to be treated that way and not grow into an energy of self-love and alignment.

I’m offering you guys an apology for not being able to push out readings and do what I needed these past 2-3 days. I was going through a cleansing period and I needed to purge and ground. But, I’ve gotten my energy back and I’m ready to come back and do my work for the collective. I hope these readings helped or gave you some sort of enlightenment, encouragement, or confirmed your intuition. I chose to include four piles today because I intuitively felt that this was a very broad collective and the messages would be very specific to those reading. Wishing you the best of luck🤞🏾 lots of love, forgiveness, and understanding. Wishing that you can find that within yourself and that others can find those same things within you in order to release any negative energies, fears, and emotions so that we may all move on and enjoy our lives peacefully and in harmony. I’ll talk to you another time. Please come see me again soon! 🧿

Hello there! Maybe you've answered this kind of question before, but I wanted to ask anyway. How do you know that too much is really too much? I get the idea of making MC suffer for some reasons - because that's what life is like. But how do I make them real and bruised without showing them as victim? Without feeling sorry for themselves?
Developing characters’ past pain to inform current responses to conflict...
A character’s past and present personal conflict is a key part of their development, and furthermore their motivations, behavior, and strengths/weaknesses. Knowing what your character has been through and how that informs their perspective on what they continue to battle is beyond imperative to creating a quality, rounded person to read about.
As you begin and continue to develop this piece of them, there is a line you must tread upon carefully. Everyone goes through stuff, and in real life one has little to no control over the majority of it, but you as a writer have the luxury of not having to deal with fate as a player. You decide everything that happens to that character, and then you build the rest of their personality which will determine how that informs their actions moving forward.
You will never put your character through too much if you’re following the character you’ve written faithfully. If you find yourself throwing in struggle after struggle to make them appear more resilient or seasoned, that will reveal how little you know about people’s personalities are shaped by experience. How it feels to actually experience different types and sources of pain, suffering, and trauma.
Sometimes it’s characteristic of a person’s behavior and perspective to have someone feel truly miserable and sorry for themself when something unfortunate happens to them. These people exist among us in abundance. If you’re doing justice to a cast of characters with diverse experiences, it’s not unlikely you’ll end up writing one of them, whether you personally identify with that response to conflict or not.
Projecting your personal internal biases or responses onto every character you write, regardless of the character they actually are, is the most efficient way to flush your surrounding character development down the toilet. Don’t write with the response in mind before you develop the conflict itself. People aren’t born with a predisposition toward any method of coping with pain or suffering. Characters shouldn’t be either. Those methods are found through experience, trial and error, and intuition. Give yourself time to draw logical conclusions about what your character has been through, how it shaped them, and how one would use that experience to inform their actions when faced with pain or challenge in the future.
What did they go through?
What did it make them feel?
What did that feeling make them think/learn?
How did they internalize this (shaping their identity, behavior, coping methods, priorities, relationships, motivations, etc.)
How does that impact the way they will respond to this situation?
How does their response compare/contrast to the people around them?
How does this add nuance to the conflict?
If your character’s determined response to the conflict is imperative to the plot progressing as necessary, then do the work backwards. Do your research, empathize with the character as much as you can, and develop the framework behind the image in your head. At the tail end of this process, you should be able to answer the above questions, no matter which direction you figured them out in.

On Spider-Man Into The Multiverse As It Relates To LOA Concepts:)
This is more of a philosophical post as opposed to anything with methods… If you don’t believe in LOA… scroll right past thanks
Having just finished the new spider man movie (a few
hours ago) and yall being well aware of my affinity for the multiverse.. a new string of thoughts just popped up that i thought i would share..
first off.. here are my thoughts on the spider man movie and how it relates to the whole philosophy around the law in general not just manifesting..
1. One main takeaway from the 2nd half of the movie is the whole ordeal with feeling like you //have// to struggle and suffer as a rite of passage. Which is like… Insane.. Miguel basically saying that the suffering is one of the main things that connects them even tho there are infinite multiverses with infinite realities and possibilities… it just reminds me of how i feel guilty and a “cheat” at times for knowing the law and choosing to take the “easier” way out as opposed to letting myself go through unnecessary strife… which brings me to my next point…
2. Just like all those different versions of Miles were connected through the little spider web all different versions of You are connected through the web of consciousnesses. You’re not any more of a cheat for choosing an easy life over a hard life because at the end of the day it is still a version of you that exists within you…. you don’t have to **work** to prove to YOURSELF or THE WORLD that you’re deserving of a new SELF CONCEPT… it is quite literally INSIDE you.. has always been.. always will be.. because it is.. a different VERSION.. OF YOUSJSKKD….
I struggle with this sooo much at times … feeling like I need to go through all this pain and suffering for my triumphs to be valid… but who cares… because if we break this down to the most fundamental levels of the law.. None of us are really.. Any of the self concepts that we attach to ourselves… We’re neither rich, nor poor, happy, sad, depressed whatever.. we’re pure consciousness.. shifting in and out of states. A faceless formless being.. How are you essentially going to tell a blob who dresses up as who they want to be that they’re a cheat for not going through these man made human rites of passages when.. well.. they’re not rlly.. human… it’s pure consciousness. the societal rituals and norms that we cling onto rlly do not matter in imagination and that is the main takeaway…… let yourself just experience whatever it is you want…
which brings us to point number
3. the part where miles said “everyone is always telling me how MY story is supposed to go.. imma do my own thing” had to be like my fav part of the story for multiple reasons… i’ll try to break it down so this doesn’t take 30 years…
Earlier on in the day I was having this internal conflict with myself over this discourse I was seeing all over my twitter page. It made me feel uncomfortable but the reason why i felt the discomfort was rlly because a part of me still acknowledged the 3d as like.. real.. to some extent tbh.. bc if i was fully tapped into the 4d then that would’ve been water of my wings bc it literally… just… does not apply to the self in imagination…
anyways all day i was ruminating on the fact that a part of me.. after alllll this introspection.. still still STILL allows the outside world to dictate how MY story.. and MY life should go.. at times i put my fate into the hands of others..
But lately I’ve been thinking.. I know about all these theories of the multiverse I know how the law works… I know everything in the physical world is a delayed mirror reflection.. So like.. Why do i still allow myself to think i have to walk a path like everyone else around me?
There are infinite possibilities available to all of us.. We can pick and choose from all of them and live out a life that’s fulfilling beyond imagination.. Like seriously. Everyone reading this im sure is deep into this shit and is well aware the world is their oyster.. so why exactly do we continue to move as if the editor and publisher of our stories is some outside force and not us…
I’ve acknowledged that.. there is a certain fear that comes with trekking uncharted waters. Think about every successful person you know in your life or in the greater scheme of pop culture.. name a single one who wasn’t wildly disrespected or called crazy during their ascent to superstardom… You probably will come up short because ppl are very uncomfortable with nonconformity… Anything out of the norm is never rlly taken lightly..
All of them gunning for Miles just because he had the NERVE to want something different for himself.. it happens to all of us in the LOA community too.. We know that we can have anything we want.. anytime we want.. simply by thinking from the perspective of already being that person.. but there’s like this shackle of reason that drags us down because we take the laughs and snarky comments from others to mean that we should just give up on our dreams or that we’re too crazy…
BUT AGAIN.. JSKSKDKZ allllll of the ppl who have gone on to impact society in real tangible ways have all had to deal with people trying to write their story for them and dared to rebel.. Like not gwen’s dad about to live now just because miles broke the canon.. and who knows what will happen in the second movie (THAT COULD H E L P ALL THE OTHER SPIDEYS JUST BECAUSE HE HAD THE GUTS TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT)… In more practical terms.. everyone told steve jobs he was out of his mind for even talking about inventing the iPhone… not even 20 years later look how that’s effected Humanity as a whole.. Be sooooo ffr
I guess what I’m trying to get at here is… Don’t take your knowledge of these esoteric concepts lightly and base your path on the ones everyone around you is walking. Not everyone wants to be great chyle🤷🏾‍♀️ But You do. You’re doing the work to change and that could influence others around you in countless ways.. Stop letting people around you write your story even if it seems tempting…
All of your wildest dreams are available to you anyways you wouldn’t possibly be able to conceive of anything you desire if it wasn’t… Anyways
I am going to end this here… because it’s long. I hope any of this made sense bc it’s all over the place but this is also nothing more than my rambles…anyways bye

Sorry girls but if someone wrote some of the things I’ve read on here (coming from anons but never called out as wrong nor disrespectful by the blog owner) about black people or poc in general I’d be mad pissed and shocked by the audacity, and you would be too, rightfully. Plus, you can’t decide what hurts people’s feelings, nor invalidate them, unless you’re part of the kind that’s feeling attacked, it goes the same way. You guys understandably have double standards and struggle to change your perspective in order to see if maybe you’re wrong, impolite and unconsciously racist too sometimes, which of course doesn’t mean you’re not victims of double standards, racial discrimination, abuses and so on, it just means suffering racial discrimination etc. doesn’t equal to being unable to racially discriminate etc.. I’m telling you this with no intention to pick a fight, nor to invalidate your experiences as black women obviously, because I agree with you on each and every thing that’s been said about the enormous variety of abuses you suffer, I’m just trying to show you that white people as well can actually feel bad/angry/disrespected because of some of the things you say (and ofc once again I’m not talking about when you’re simply pointing out poc’s problems, that’s only “offensive” if, as a white person, you refuse to understand that you can indeed have some internalized racism inside of you and act upon it 😉) even though I know you don’t mean any harm nor see where the problem is while saying them.
Is the point of this to say I’ve offended you as a white person ? Because if that is so I have repeatedly said that I don’t have issues with white women as individuals throughout my conversations
But to address the issue
I do think it can become offensive to white people when POC speak on racism and racial divide because the truth is white people are a major part of the reason why systemic racism and all it’s consequence exist. A major example of that, that still affects society today in many different ways is the colonisation of numerous countries by white Europeans.
That is just fact, however the fact of that doesn’t mean that I or black people in general hate white people but I must say white people need to understand black people speaking on systemic racism is not a direct attack on white people but white people would inevitably feel a type of way to be causal, because one the reasons for the way the world is right now is people of colour specifically black people are still recovering from 400 + years of slavery and even longer of colonisation. There are still many countries that were part of the colonies that are still not independent from British rule but do not benefit from the rights of British citizens.
So yes, I can very much acknowledge that white people would be offended but I wish for you to understand that is a consequence is the topic and not an attack on you as an individual

I don’t know maybe this is internally ableist of me but every time I’ve personally met someone who has the discourse of being low empathy or no empathy I’ve immediately noticed them engaging in empathetic behavior in conversations which just leaves me bewildered by the discourse they’re promoting and what exactly they get out of telling people this.
I feel like you’re defining empathy so narrowly that your clearly empathetic behavior doesn’t count or I’m defining it so broadly that you’re included. And I’m convinced it’s the former because why would I imagine or project that you’re empathizing with me? I can tell when someone’s refusing to empathize with me, it’s very obvious, targeted and jarring. What people get out of this discourse of claiming the have no empathy despite evidence to the contrary I have no idea but I’m convinced it’s a very selective definition of empathy that most people don’t use when they say that word so it’s functionally a meaningless definition of empathy.
“But I don’t feel the same exact emotion you feel when you’re happy or sad, etc” yeah and? You’re taking that definition way too literally. I don’t start crying when I see a stranger cry in the streets and it doesn’t mean you don’t have empathy if you see that person and don’t start crying yourselves. Neurotypical people aren’t literally experiencing the same exact emotion as someone they’re talking to. What you’re talking about is mirroring and you don’t have to mirror someone’s emotions to show them empathy. Mirroring is in fact not empathy. You can mirror someone’s emotions AND not show them empathy by centering yourself and your emotions over the person you’re mirroring.
If you’ve ever talked a friend through a hard time, you’ve shown them empathy. If you’ve ever seen someone emotionally suffer and think that’s awful they’re experiencing that, you’ve shown them empathy. If you’ve ever seen someone or a group of people be mistreated and think that’s wrong, you’ve shown them empathy. If you ever saw a friend go through a difficult situation and thought about how it affected them, you’ve shown them empathy. If you’ve ever thought about cheering up a friend who was going through a hard time, you’ve shown them empathy. If a friend told you that you hurt their feelings when you didn’t notice and you felt the need to apologize and reconcile afterwards, you’ve shown them empathy. Empathy is often an intentional effort we show to people we care about, not necessarily some knee jerk reaction that applies to all people in any situation. As humans we also intentionally don’t show empathy towards people in some situations, if we don’t know them or have some kind of personal or ideological reason not to trust someone. All the people I’ve talked to who claim to have low to zero empathy all engage in these exact empathetic behaviors without even thinking about it.
If you saw your best friend get beaten nearly to death in front of you I guarantee you’d have a reaction based off the pain you saw your friend experience, is that not empathy? Are you telling me you’d emotionally experience nothing, that you wouldn’t react or care? That you wouldn’t want to intervene or wished it would stop? I don’t believe that and neither do you. You do experience empathy you’re just calling it something else.
Empathy to me is caring about others and even if you struggle to read or mirror emotions that doesn’t mean your care for others is somehow not empathy, it absolutely is. Telling people you don’t experience empathy is just going to make them assume you don’t care about them instead of communicating that you struggle with reading or mirroring emotions. Empathy is how the human species has survived. You’re not an exception to that. Even if you struggle, you’re no different from the rest of us. Sorry.

One of the reasons I really dislike how secularism is becoming the default basis in spiritual communities is that it tends make this idea that spirituality is based on the material the foundation of all conversations.
Because if you’re secular, it has to go that way to some degree. If you posit that there is only what you can discern with your senses and what we call the spiritual is an abstraction of the material, then you set yourself up to do a few things:
One, treat the spiritual as superfluous and nonessential since it is secondary to the material.
Two, convince yourself there is a purely material basis for your experiences even when you’re confronted with ones that definitely aren’t.
Three, generally be dismissive of spiritual traditions as superstitious, dated, or even bad/dangerous for putting the spiritual - that which you think is secondary - first.
Four, treat material traditions of knowledge seeking - read: largely modern and predominantly influenced by Western thought - as superior to other modes of experimentation - read: older, non Western traditions.
And the result tends to be people trying to scrub spiritual traditions clean of their spiritual nature but then they wonder why their practices feel empty and don’t make them feel as good as they once did. And they chalk it up to it being “opiate of the masses” or the result of a worldview they can’t believe in.
And it’s like no. You’re a spiritual being. You have spiritual needs.
I’m not talking necessarily about “morality” here. I’m talking about hungers that to try to put into words would only impede one’s ability to tend to them. They are, at least a little bit, ineffable. Probably because language does come second to humans. Human language definitionally requires humans in the first place in order to be. But the spiritual doesn’t.
And it’s the same as ignoring the material. You can not eat all you like but you’ll be worse for wear. You can get so hungry that you only subsist on the rinse water of pots after they’ve been scraped clean but it will never replace food. You’ll never be able to function like you did when you ate your fill.
And the community suffers as a result. Imagine if everyone in your town started drinking broth once in a while instead of eating, if everyone treated that as completely normal and people who ate food were the weird ones. Things would start to break down. And you can see that where community cannibalize themselves through discourse wars in part because they’re so damn hungry for truth and direction - components of a spiritual life.
So, what’s the answer? I don’t have one honestly. I would ask at bare minimum that people not take secularism as the default in spiritual communities. Respect the spiritual part. Don’t assume everyone is working from a material-first mentality.
For people this resonates with - I don’t ask you believe any particular thing. But I do ask you to be resolutely open to the idea that the spiritual at least co-arises with the material. I get it, the spiritual proceeding it can be a bit much so that’s fine. But at least be open to the idea that it doesn’t arise second to humans.
After all, even by material modes of understanding, the spiritual can’t be quantified so it can’t really be ruled out. Just...take it on a theory. One way the world might work. Embrace the uncertainty. See if that helps mitigate some of the internal resistance to your own spiritual needs and experiences.

Gallows Humor: The Comedienne’s Guide to Pride
I just finished The Comedienne’s Guide to Pride by Hayli Thomson. I have thoughts...
Tumblr media
Here there be spoilers!
In a time is love isn’t love and pride is sliding closer to protest than parade, I wanted to have a month where I immersed myself in queer joy. So what better time to read Hayli Thomson’s The Comedienne’s Guide to Pride? The novel was pitched as the tale of an aspiring funny girl who finds herself in the wacky situation of being chosen as a finalist for a diversity internship at SNL...but hasn’t come out to anyone yet. The tone felt absurd: funny ha-ha.
That is...not what I got.
Our heroine, Taylor, is an open wound. From tearing up a defaced Ghostbusters reboot poster because of a slur to ripping into herself in self-disgust for masturbating to Fried Green Tomatoes, every page of this novel howls with her pain.
Which isn’t to say there aren’t jokes. Describing her questioning period, Taylor snarks “my sexuality was still Amelia Earhart-themed--I had no idea where it was going to end up.” The experience of falling in love was watching her crush play a Salem witch and feeling her “phantom touch...reaching all the way to the back row of the theater and strangling the lingering breath of heteronormativity right out of me.”
Spot the pattern in her jokes? they’re perfect examples of gallows humor: jokes used as a defense mechanism because everything is so horrible that the only way to cope with the pain is to find something absurd to numb the pain. There’s a reason old-fashioned anesthetic was called ‘laughing gas.’
Rather than being notable for its humor, novel’s at its sharpest, its most viscerally impactful, when Taylor speaks directly about her suffering.
When she yearns for romance “self-loathing took me by the throat.” Describing her experience of being closeted, she says she’s “constantly tearing at the seams...If you’re lucky, you get a few miserable, desolate moments to pull yourself back together...You hope that the seam won’t split further. You hope everybody will buy what you’re selling--that you’re totally fine.” But she isn’t simply hiding from homophobia. She’s also busy internalizing it: “soaking in shame and self-hatred for so long that my heart had turned prune-y...Hating myself for who I was and who I loved was the only was I knew how to adapt...Shaming myself was the only way I could grip the seawalls without floating away.”
If the reader is hoping for some relief when Taylor finally, inevitably, comes out...well, prepare for disappointment. This is no Love, Simon fantasy. Her experience is closer to what most of us find in the beginning...especially if we live in a less accepting environment:
“Coming out wasn’t quite sugary sweet. It tasted like lemon icing when you’d been expecting vanilla. It felt like racing toward a crossing and skidding to a stop at the exact moment the walk signal turned red--you had no choice but to pause and watch the traffic move around you. But there was the promise of that green light to come, and that just had to be enough.”
In a way, Thomson’s brutal honesty makes this novel a timely wake-up call to that person who thinks that being gay in 2023 is ‘no big deal.’ The kind of read you hand to the ignorant friend who rolls their eyes at the idea that we ‘need a whole month’ to ‘celebrate what we do in the bedroom.’
But me? Even if it’s naive, I think I’d rather step off that gallows and immerse myself in unfettered joy. Even if--for now--it’s just a fantasy.

My Writing Journey
Late last year, I published my first book. Just recently, looking through my old documents, I have reason to believe that I wrote, scrapped, re-wrote, edited, and put literal sweat and tears into that book for ten years. I didn’t go to school to write, something I’m oddly self-conscious about. I still struggle to see myself as an “author.” However, I had a lot of help. I was blessed with a community of long-suffering victims willing to read, give feedback, and enjoy the manuscript. Happily, there was even a willing soul trained to edit the poor thing when it was done.
So why did I write it? I enjoy books. (My wife can confirm this is an understatement.) I enjoy listening to and reading stories. Fiction or non-fiction, stories are amazing. With non-fiction stories, it’s important how you construct the narrative and the implied moral that often goes with it. With fiction, in my opinion, the storyteller has an even heavier burden. The details are there for you to make up, as are the purpose, the voice, and the point you’re trying to make. I struggle to believe that there are pointless stories. There may be stories out there strictly meant to entertain, even if they’re the literary equivalent of a fart joke, but at least they’re amusing if you’re into that sort of thing. However, there are damaging stories out there, and, in my opinion, there are far too many of them.
I used to scoff at the idea that stories could be important. I could point out where I heard anthropologists and historians saying that cultures throughout the ages constructed myths to make sense of themselves and the world around them, but I could not understand why that was important. They didn’t have the scientific method or the standards we have for recording history like we have today, so they resorted to the next best thing they had: making stuff up. Modern man, I believed at the time, didn’t make stuff up. There would be a reckoning. Liars would be called out. This was prior to the year of our Lord 2016. I’ve grown a lot since then. A crucial point in that growth was that one day, I realized my life very much resembled the first line of the Inferno. “I found myself within a shadowed forest, for I had lost the path that does not stray.”
Or, less dramatically, I was dissatisfied with my life, and my depression had reached the point that the check engine light in my head was doing a scary blinking choreography. Now, the story about how I learned to take care of my mental health is its own tale, but to summarize it very quickly, I was telling myself the wrong stories. The internal monologue in my head was damaging me and everyone around me because, at that point, my inner storyteller was a toxic geyser perceiving the world wrong and interpreting it through a lens that was just as cracked.
(I feel the need to put this disclaimer here: if you’re struggling emotionally or mentally, please find help from your support group and a professional. You’re worth it, but one guy on the Internet telling you to tell better stories about yourself isn’t a treatment, it’s merely an encouragement.)
I’m not suggesting we throw empirical data to the four winds and shut our minds to it. Our world is a much better place because people do the science, run the experiments, and repeat until we better understand our world. However, I know I’m foolish enough to be an unreliable narrator for my own life, and I’m not convinced enough people are. I firmly believe that, in some ways, all of us are still just cave people flailing about in the 21st-century fire we stole from the gods. We’re telling ourselves and those around us stories about our reality. All the while, we’re not thinking about the damage, or life, they bring.
One of the best tools I learned on my mental health journey was the importance of getting new perspectives, challenging my own (usually flawed) assumptions, and re-framing conundrums. Now, I did hate how in one job I worked, corporate tried to re-frame “problems” as “opportunities,” but they weren’t entirely wrong. (Their major malfunction was ignoring the opportunity to take better care of their workers in a soul-crushing industry) Problems can indeed be challenging, but I fear we turn too many into roadblocks. We do not re-frame them into issues that can be solved. We do not let ourselves imagine tales where these giants are felled and, in turn, deprive ourselves of a better world.
For ten years, I let myself imagine that maybe, just maybe, I could be an author with a book out in the world. Now, I’m letting myself play with that new-fangled thing of getting people excited about it and experiencing the joy of people telling me that, indeed, they did enjoy it. I’m enjoying the work and pain of writing a new draft and hoping that it, too, will be out in the world in the near future. I’m hoping that I can put some life-giving stories into the world, and it will inspire others to do the same. Most people will experience the dark forest, their lives having gone astray. My hope is that they will remember the good stories, the good narratives and that those will be a lantern to help them find their way back out. We do ourselves a disservice by filling our world and our souls with darkness when light can still be found in creation, our fellow men, and ourselves.

Is Heart Check-Up Required Before Joining An Exercise Program? - Aditi Jagtap Pune
Tumblr media
Physical fitness has taken a storm among GenZ and millennials today. Social Media is inspiring millions of people via fitness influencers who launch their 15, 30, or 45-day quick transformation exercise programs. Kick-starting your fitness routine is a commendable decision but the first step towards a healthier lifestyle would involve careful consideration, especially when it comes to heart.
You should consider getting your heart checkup done by Dr Ranjit Jagtap, MBBS, MS, a reliable cardiothoracic Surgeon of Ram Mangal Heart Foundation, Pune. The foundation has served 12,067 happy patients with phenomenal heart-related services.
He has been proudly asserting heart-related surgeries for a couple of years now. With the help of this blog, we will learn about the importance of cardiovascular assessment before commencing exercise and how it contributes to a safer and more effective experience.
Why is a heart checkup even required?
Dr Ranjit Jagtap Daughter states the key reason, when your body starts participating in an average to high activity, there is a slight increase in the risk of heart attack or cardiac complication.
Many people blame nature for the sudden deaths in gyms but the real reason is not taking heart health seriously and not getting the checkup done on time. Before starting a physical activity check, if you’re someone who has a weak internal medical condition or is suffering from hypertension or has any family history related to the heart. If yes, then you should deeply take care of yourself and consult him for a proper checkup. Being a junk food addict is another sign of a bad internal medical condition. Choosing exercise just for the weight loss purpose is something which medical professionals strictly deny.
Basic Tests For Checking Heart Health Before Starting Gym/ Exercise
The heart supplies blood and oxygen to the whole body. It is important to maintain the good health of this organ. If you’re willing to join a gym consider some of the basic tests which are mentioned below:
1. Blood Pressure: We consider blood pressure as normal when it is between 120/80.   It is considered elevated when it is between 120 - 129/80. Whereas when it is between 130-139/80-89 then it comes under stage 1 which counts as hypertension. You are supposed to make some lifestyle changes and modifications to your diet. When blood pressure is more than or equal to 140/90 then you are required to make some changes to your lifestyle, and diet and have to take medicines too. To measure blood pressure, 2 readings are taken in different time frames. If each time results are high then it is called a case of hypertension.
2. Blood Sugar: This test tells whether a person is diabetic or whether there is any risk of being diabetic in the future. There are two tests:
Fasting Blood Sugar Test:
The condition of the patient is considered normal when the result is <100 mg/dl, prediabetic when the result is 100-125 mg/dl, and diabetic when the result is equal to or more than 126 mg/dl
HbA1c Test:
This test shows that when sugar level increases in the body it eventually gets attached to the level of haemoglobin. This test speaks about the average sugar level for 2-3 months. If HbA1c is less than 5.6% then the patient comes under the normal range. If HbA1c is 5.7% - 6.4% then the patient is considered prediabetic. If results are more than 6.5% then the patient is considered diabetic.
3. Lipid Profile Test: In this test, you are supposed to do overnight fasting and then give your blood sample in the morning. Then the doctor checks the patient's level for VLDL which should be less than 30 mg/dl, HDL which should be, for females more than 50 mg/dl and for males more than 40 mg/dl, Triglyceride which should be less than 150 mg/dl and Total Cholesterol which should be less than 200 mg/dl.

4. HsCRP: Consider this test as it describes vascular inflammation. If the inflammation level is higher in your body then it damages the blood vessels and also increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. If the HsCrp level is <1 mg/lit then the patient comes under low risk. If results are between 1-3 mg/lit then the patient comes under moderate risk. If results are more than 3 mg/lit then there is a high risk.
5. Complete Blood Count (CBC) Test: This test checks the total oxygen-carrying capacity of haemoglobin in the body. Haemoglobin is responsible for taking oxygen to every other part of the body.  This overall checks the haemoglobin level to mark it as good normal or low. So baseline CBC test is a must.
6. Kidney Function Test and Liver Function Test: Kidney and Liver are very important organs of your body. This test is a must as it helps to check if organs are functioning normally or not. The kidney and Liver help the body to maintain a good metabolism, Blood Pressure, Fluid balance, and Cholesterol level.
7. ECG: This test helps to see the status of electrical activity in your body. This ensures that the heart rate is normal, and rhythm is working in a regular flow or is irregular.
8. 2DEchocardiography: In this, doctors check whether the heart's pumping capacity is normal, and heart valves are normal, it also checks if there's no hole in the heart, no congenital anomaly, and heart muscles are normal. HCM is a disease of the heart muscles that is commonly responsible for the sudden death of sports athletes. In India, it is witnessed how people die doing heavy workout exercises.
Conclusion:
When you are pre-informed about the risk involved. You should surely consider getting your heart checkup done before joining a gym. Dr Ranjit Jagtap, daughter Aditi Jagtap Pune plays a significant role in the functioning of the foundation which caters to all types of heart-related surgeries and serves the patients with love and care. Dr. Ranjit Jagtap news appearance has highlighted the quality of work they have done.

Re: Your Intern Who Rejected My Book
Dear Publisher,
Many thanks for responding to my manuscript query. Even though it took 11 months, two weeks, and three days for your reply to arrive, and even though it was clearly a form email, I’m grateful that your college intern took the time to read my sample pages while watching TikTok videos and snapping Instagram images of freshly painted fingernails. Such multi-platform multitasking is perfect preparation for this new world where nouns are distilled into memes, feelings are reduced to emojis, and attention is measured in GIFs. I hope you’re paying your primary gatekeeper an adequate wage to share a studio apartment in Brooklyn with no more than three other future captains of the content creation industry formerly known as publishing.
I hate to intrude on your Facebook time, but I would like to point out a few of your junior staffer’s notes, presumably meant to help with my future submissions. Please understand I’m not trying to get anyone into trouble. I merely want to confirm whether these “edits” reflect the new industry standard for composition worthy of today’s audience.
Firstly, your intern changed all gender pronouns to they/them. While I consider myself an ally of transgender and non-binary persons, I maintain some readers might find it useful to know whether a character identifies as “he” or “she” or is biologically so. If you feel otherwise, I’ll admit this is not a hill I’m willing to die taking, as we’re only talking about pronouns.
Secondly, any reference to sexual attraction, or even intercourse, has been removed. It seems your apprentice feels my main characters would appeal more broadly to Generation Z if they identified as “ace” which, after consulting a source called Urban Dictionary, I learned means asexual. No offense to those not interested in sex but how does your intern think people arrive on this planet? Dropped by aliens? Maybe it’s time we bring back the old trope of the stork carrying a swaddled babe in its beak. For the remainder of this letter I’ll refer to the younger cohort as storks — and I don’t care if they view this as a micro-aggression. I am the one who feels attacked and I seek, nay, I demand answers as to what our industry’s standards really are.
Trigger warning: A complaint about trigger warnings is imminent. Are you in a safe place, emotionally speaking, to read my third objection? Allow me tread lightly so as not to bruise your feelings. Okay, I’ll admit this preamble is insensitive. But seriously: Where do we draw the line between a reader’s right not to re-live trauma and my right to inject realism into a story? In my case, your employee went too far when striking an entire scene in which an injured horse is euthanized by its owner. Shooting a lame steed was common practice in the 18th century, and my depiction of this act was meant to portray the owner as a sensitive and merciful man. However, this proved far too much for your stork who apparently still suffers from PTSD after a veterinarian put down a beloved “fur baby.” My lack of a warning seems to be the main reason my manuscript was declined. For your intern’s sake I’ll thank God they didn’t read the part where the man, who was starving, ate his horse so that he could survive a harsh winter.
Please understand that I deeply empathize with anyone who had to say goodbye to a beloved pet. And I would accept the inclusion of a trigger warning for this scene if it increases my odds for getting published. But what about other passages such as a battle devolving into brutal hand-to-hand combat? Or a character’s death from dysentery? Adding warnings to each of these chapters would yank the reader out of the immersive experience I carefully curated for them. I hope you’ll agree that not every chapter in a book should be filled with “happy place” things.
My final complaint focuses on your stork’s lack of knowledge, even complete disregard, for American history. Here I’ll need to burden you with another detail about my novel: It features Thomas Jefferson as a recurring character. In my story Mr. Jefferson is presented as a complex, flawed human of his time who literally owned Black Americans, some of whom he used for sex, the most famous being Sally Hemings. To my astonishment the stork you hired as the sieve for incoming manuscripts insisted I was wrong. Thomas Jefferson, she wrote in all caps, WAS A BLACK MAN. When I shouted back at these words my daughter informed me that a Black actor plays Jefferson in the original cast of Hamilton, a play she has seen numerous times on the Disney channel. My daughter’s praise for the production was drowned out by my alarm that the person you put in charge of acquisitions looked no further than a Broadway musical for fundamental facts about our nation.
Having vented enough for now I wonder if my blame is aimed at the wrong target. What if the education system is the real culprit? Or Gen Z’s parents? Regardless, I do believe you’d be well served to occasionally double-check the writing samples your intern rejects. No need to do this with mine, however. I’ve given up and am exploring other avenues to “boost awareness among content consumers” of my “creative offerings.” God, just reading those words makes me feel dead inside. Still, I’ll focus on greener pastures like my YouTube channel in which I read rejection letters and offer comments similar to what you’ve read here. So far only a dozen people have subscribed but I’m predicting thousands of writers will sign up once my social media posts get enough shares. I’m still researching the best hashtags to optimize my Google-friendliness or whatever they call it. I do find some comfort in this practice as it still involves the careful selection of words.
Would you like to increase your media profile? Join me on my channel. I’d love to get your opinion about where our industry is headed and whether books can still maintain a place in this new landscape. And if the person reading this is in fact the intern who stars in the previous paragraphs, I mean no insult. What’s more, I’ll bet you’d be a far more entertaining guest than your boss — or me, for that matter. We could talk about Hamilton, pronouns, triggers, whatever you want. You’re the future, after all. Those who write should know who you are and what content you prefer.
If, during our chat you scroll through Instagram or TikTok, all I ask is that you share your distractions with our viewers. I realize I’d risk being a bystander on my show. But I need to know if my words still have relevance. Perhaps you’d be doing me a favor by putting me out of my misery. Just do it quickly and as painlessly as possible. And be sure your rising star executes a full eclipse so my remains are shielded from sensitive eyes. Not to put too fine a point on it but don’t eat me because that would get you banned from all platforms, possibly forever.
What’s that? Of course, vegan. Please excuse my lame and inappropriate attempt at humor. And may your words succeed where mine have failed.
Author.

Here Are 10 Things You Should Never Do After Undergoing A Hair Transplant
Tumblr media
Do you experience balding? The most effective and lasting way to reverse baldness is through hair transplantation. You will learn 10 things that you should avoid after undergoing a hair transplant in this blog. Keep reading!
Did you know?
According to Modern Gentlemen, androgenetic alopecia accounts for around 95% of men’s hair loss. There is a hereditary component to it. It is more likely that men and women will suffer from androgenetic alopecia if their families have a history of balding.
Men and women are both affected by alopecia, a condition that causes them to lose their hair. It is most likely that you suffer from alopecia if you lose hair and develop bald patches on your head. A normal amount of hair is lost per day, which is 50–100 strands. In the event that you begin noticing bald patches and lose more hair than that, it is recommended that you consult a physician. It is not just hair loss that causes balding.
Some of the factors that induce balding in men and women include:
Men and women who lose their hair due to alopecia
Androgenic alopecia is a hereditary/family condition

In most cases, hair loss can be treated and reversed if you are suffering from it. The reversal of hair loss can be achieved with both surgical and non-surgical treatments. Get a hair transplant clinic Noida if you’re suffering from hair loss as it is a popular, permanent solution.
In this blog, we will go over 10 things to avoid after getting a hair transplant and why you might need one. Please continue reading!
10 Things To Avoid After A Hair Transplant Procedure
Every 13th man in the United States has a hair transplant, according to Business Insider! Getting a hair transplant is not uncommon for men (and women). Do not be worried about getting a hair transplant if you are in the minority.
You should avoid these 10 things after having a hair transplant in order to reverse your balding
Avoid sleeping flat: It is necessary to sleep in an elevated position at least for the first 7 days post the hair transplant procedure. In order to prevent swelling, this must be done. Sleeping flat is not recommended. While sleeping, keep your head elevated. It is important to note that not everyone who has undergone a hair transplant will experience swelling. Following the procedure, you may also experience slight swelling.
If you have any kind of internal injury, be sure to use ice as a first aid measure. In order to avoid swelling, immediately rub ice above your eyebrows if you experience any swelling in the transplanted area. The transplant region should not be exposed to direct ice application!
After a hair transplant procedure, it is advisable not to drive for at least 24 hours. This is particularly important if you have been sedated. Following your transplant, you should not drive alone.
Allow your scalp to breathe: Do not touch or scratch it. In the early hours/days following transplant surgery, it is common to feel itchy. You should not scratch your scalp when it itches, however.
The first time you wash your hair after a hair transplant should be at least 48 hours after the procedure. Keep your hair in a soft and gentle state even when you wash it. There will be a period of adjustment for the transplanted hair. Additionally, some hair strands are in the shedding stage following your transplant, so hair fall is normal. You’ll have new hair before you know it.
Drink enough water: Humans need to consume water in general. Pre and post-hair transplant, you should keep yourself hydrated at all times. You will be able to recover faster if you drink water.
When you have undergone a scalp transplant, it is recommended that you avoid direct sunlight. After your transplant, you should continue to do this for at least two weeks. When going out in the sun, make sure you have your head covered. Be careful not to spend too much time outside if you do.
After your hair transplant surgery, it is important not to over-exert yourself by doing heavy workouts for at least a week. For at least a few days after your transplant, you should avoid excessive sweating.
Avoid sexual intercourse: Two reasons should be considered when avoiding sexual activity following your transplant:
. The newly transplanted hair follicles need to be protected from high blood pressure and heart rates.
Don’t drink or smoke after your transplant: You won’t be able to drink or smoke after your transplant. You become dehydrated when you drink alcohol; therefore, it is unhealthy for your body and transplants. Smokers should consider quitting a few months before their transplant surgery if they smoke.
Post-hair transplant, there are 10 things you must avoid at all costs. Find out if hair transplants are right for you by reading the next section of this blog.

First off, congratulations on almost getting through your exams (or finishing it depending on when you read this!) 🥳
Also don’t worry about replying. Just reply when you feel like (or don’t if you don’t want to!). I take a bit to reply too 😬
First off, thank you for the kind words 🫶
Yeah, software development makes my brain hurt mostly because of the unrealistic deadlines and expectations. Imagine asking nine doctors to pull out a baby from a lady who’s one month pregnant. It's like ?????. Personally, I try to speak up about it (saying it's just not realistic) BUUTTT I'm typically the most junior in my team and though everyone secretly agrees with me, they just try to get it done by the deadline. Yeah, that didn't make sense but I hope you're getting the jist of what I'm trying to say. It's what I hate about when I first entered the field as a full-timer (they protect you from this kind of stuff as an intern).
“Having a brain fully developed is a flex.”
LMAO. This made me laugh sooo much. You’re so funny 🥰
How long does one coding exercise generally takes ? Like 2/3 hours at least ? Depending on how hard it is ?
I’m not sure if you’re asking for one question or the entire challenges so I’ll answer both. In my experience, it depends on the question asked lolol. There were times I was able finish three problems in twelve minutes and there were times I couldn’t even finish one question. The timed ones usually only give you 1-2 hour(s) because intensity you know?
The last exercise I did took me around six to seven hours. It wasn’t like a typical coding challenge but you had to explain a project you built entirely by yourself on a technical level and then they basically asked you how you would build a X system (ex/ "How would you build Twitter?", "How would you build a hotel reservation system?"). There wasn’t any word limit or time limit and I figured it was better to put more (it's the safer option). I figured it would also be useful for future interviews since a lot of times they ask you to explain a project you’ve worked on or how you would build X system.
AHHH and you’re a double major? Dang. If you don’t mind asking, what’s the second major?
As always, take care of yourself 🍵
🤙 anon
Hii darling !
I took my last exam this morning (I actually saw your message just before but I wasn't in the right headspace to reply to it lol). Thank you for your kind words it truly means a lot to me 💛
I guess like every space of work always overwork and expect crazy deadlines... I'm sorry you have so much pressure to complete assignment in such a short time !
I'm also really proud for trying to speak up about it and try to make a space for discussion. It truly must no be the easiest as the youngest
Also I totally get the idea of complaining but still making it in time lol I totally understand !
I cant even imagine how hard it must be to sit in front of computer and work seven hours on something as complicated as what you are doing.. you have all my respect fr.
Knowing the time you need for each type of task is actually very good and very professional. It's always to have that information just in case they ask you in an interview. It shows your professionalism.
Yeah I did a double major for 2 years ! Here completing the major takes 3 years and you have to validate each year.
I did law and art history. Most people in my promo wanna be auctioneers. (Its the reason why this double major was created lol) But I personnaly don't wanna be an auctioneer and I hate law lol its making me feel really bad mentally wise.
We have this opportunity for our 3rd year to continue (and suffer even more), or drop one and validating the first major and lets say you take another year to validate the other. So you have two majors in 4 years instead of 6 which is good.
But I wouldn't do law anymore if I pass and I just would study art history !
(It's complicated lol)
Take care of yourself as well. Have some good sleep/ Hope you had a good sleep <3

Vent.
Now, I understand that therapists provide an invaluable service and they’re a very important thing that I’ve known I’ve needed for many years and have tried to acquire. And will try again.
BUT.
The fucking feeling of being sent to a ‘therapist’ so utterly unqualified to deal with someone like me that I get sent into a two day (I saw him at 9AM yesterday, it’s now 11:30 the next night) depressive spiral. (Although a clue should have been that he’s a Mr not a Dr on his card.)
Like I get he was trying. But my autism, double severe general and social anxiety, BPD, severe depression, suicidal ideation, eating disorder, self-harm, ptsd, ADHD and whatever the fuck else is in my mind, plus complications from chronic pain was a little above his paygrade as an accredited social worker.
And being sent home with his refusal to engage with the reasons about the explosion of a friendship, to the extent where I’m trying to point out how my social circle has suffered due to said explosion, and how I’m trying to finish glossing over my BPD before moving on to how autism and ADHD have impacted my ability to make friends all my life because, once I make a friend I generally can combat the anxiety and depression with some help, but you know, other factors.
And I start out by... basically explaining what BPD is. (Since the explosion of my friendship largely over this was really the most recent big thing and I figured work backwards, you know? At least it’s somewhere to start.) Which really should have been a flag on it’s own but I thought, ‘Oh, okay, he’s testing my knowledge, trying to see if this might be an actual thing or just a buzzword I saw online,‘ and when I start trying to explain a Favourite Person, he’s, seemingly seriously, just like, “Well everyone has that.“
MY GUY IF YOU’RE LIKE 60 AND HAVE UNDIAGNOSED BPD THEN MAYBE YOU NEED TO SEE SOMEONE ON YOUR OWN DUDE. AND SHOULD ALSO TAKE THAT UP WITH WHOEVER TRAINED YOU AS A THEORETICAL MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL.
BECAUSE NO NOT EVERYONE HAS THEIR FUCKING PERSONALITY WARPED AGAINST THEIR MOTHERFUCKING WILL BY INTERNAL MENTAL HEALTH SHIT.
Anyway, back on topic, that, combined with boiling down all the shit I think I have through research and reading up other people’s personal experiences with their shit as either anxiety or ‘Doctor Google‘, (i.e. self diagnosis/hypochondria. Without me even getting through the entire list of shit that’s wrong with me before he leapt in with THAT particularly charming comment.) To say nothing of past trauma outside of my own head.
And to be sent home with an appointment I didn’t technically agree too, the fact that he started the appt by saying that it was for him to get to know me and me to decide “if I’m worth the time talking to professionally,“ but then didn’t ask and just wrote me in for another appt.
Oh also he kept my referral letter which seems really odd given my partner’s therapists have never done that. Previously they’ve just photocopied them and given them back. Which he didn’t seem to have one, but he can email my doctor and ask...?
And I’m kind of trying not to cry or tell him off as I walk out, especially because my dad offered to drive me and he doesn’t need additional stress, and when I mentioned how I considered myself broken, the social worker turned around and snapped out, “I don’t ever want to hear that word out of your mouth again, okay?“
Which, I get, negative self talk all that shit. But I was trying to talk about how my brain perceives me and therefore what I’m exposed to being inside my skull day-to-day.
And when I tried to list off what was wrong with me he also said like, “if I went through the DSM 5, (which he at least explained what it was) I’d find like 20 diagnoses for you, and probably 30 for me.“
Which. My guy. It’s the DS-fucking-M 5. It’s hardly a reliable source free of justified criticism.
I don’t want to say him being old was a factor, but the combo of old and sharing a building with a baptist church recruitment centre did not give me confidence I could touch on queer subjects. Like my own fucking identity.
Or that of my partner. Or my boyfriend. Or trying to explain being polyam to him.
“What’s something you enjoy doing? Do you have hobbies?“
No. I have fucking *depression* my guy.
On the subject of whether or not I exercise, “No, because my shifts at work are so physically intensive and-“ I have chronic back pain, I’m going to say so that messes with my ability to exercise.
“Work doesn’t count.“
Okay, so clearly the fact that i cry sometimes because of how much pain I’m in that walking, standing, sitting etc, all hurt, CLEARLY ALSO DOESN’T MATTER.
Like how this morning I woke up at about a 5-6. Clearly irrelevant to my exercise.
So he sent me home with instructions to do a basic bitch breathing exercise, which was inhale until my lungs are full, hold for a second then slowly exhale. And I’m to do that every 10 minutes. Because, be-fucking-cause, this making me slightly light headed is good because that means my frontal lobe is oxygenated. Which is good at combating anxiety, which he describes as just, “fear of the future“, and depression is “a sadness of the past.“
SO NICE TO KNOW THAT MY DEPRESSION IS JUST A BIG SAD NOT A NEUROTRANSMITTER IMBALANCE MR. THEORETICALLY ACCREDITED FOR MENTAL HEALTH WORK SOCIAL WORKER MAN.
So yeah. Breathing exercise that runs counter to pretty much everything I have read in my own research/heard from other people, get up at 7AM every day, (with chronic insomnia? Yay.) And go for a one hour “brisk“ walk. Then come home, shower, eat breakfast, (with an eating disorder that frequently doesn’t let me get hungry until I’ve been up for a few hours?) Then write for about two hours each day.
So basically. After my very first, (and only, even I’m not that into self-harm... not anymore at least) session with this guy, we seem to have cut straight to what my life should be like as a 30-second montage in a movie when I’m in a good place, and that’s my treatment.
Oh and we didn’t even touch on my severe financial stress.
TL:DR; I seem to have acquired a fucking homeopath of a therapist.
Honestly there’s probably more shit in that hour that I’m forgetting. Credit where credit’s due, he got shit done in that hour.
It may have been because it was 9AM, but maybe there was a reason his office was fucking empty.
Oh, and the walls were thin enough that I could hear my dad on the phone outside. Not enough to hear what was said, but charming aspect to a therapist’s office. He could hear our voices too.
To be fair to him, he was quite patient with explaining shit to me. To be fair to me tho, I didn’t need anxiety explained to me like I was 6. I will survive if you call it an amygdala and not “a very old part of the brain“ my guy.
But to be fair to me, I seem to have been sent to someone with enough mental health training to help do family therapy for stressed bc of work parents and a kid caught in the middle. Not for shit of my calibre.
Although he did have a drawing made by a child presumably, thanking him for helping them. So I’m glad that kid got seemingly good help.
BUT ALSO FOR FUCK’S SAKE MY GUY.
Also he didn’t really react to the news I’m on SSRIs. And I feel like a patient saying, “Oh yeah I’m on anti-depressants-“ should be, maybe. Potentially. Possibly. A clue that’s it’s not just anxiety and implied hypochondria.
Because I get I may not have done an ideal job explaining BPD to him. But. No everyone does not have intrusive nightmares about taking the veggie knife in the second drawer, going in through either my temple, eye, or the soft spot behind my ear and carving bits of my brain out until i hit what I wanted (or at least I hope y’all fucking don’t) so I can stop fucking fixating on someone I wouldn’t even want to date/fuck if I was given a choice my own fucking brain was trying to manipulate me into, and thankfully I wasn’t. I mean even the offer to write them into my story was one made in haste courtesy of the high BPD was giving me for being able to talk to them, not something I actually wanted to do in hindsight for all sorts of reasons.
Also our knives were part of the furnishing given by the landlords and they couldn’t keep an edge for shit.
So yeah. I need help for that especially given my poor self-control, for when my FP flares up again.
Because being able to trust the objectively of your own thoughts is. Probably still something I don’t really understand ‘cause I don’t have a psychosis or something, so, you know, I’m probably just being dramatic, but that was a fucking ride of a couple of weeks.
Idk, feel like I should report him to someone for something but fuck if I know who or for what.
Now I’mma go cry, hope my hands stop shaking and probably not sleep for 24 hours.
Oh, at least he accepted the existence of my epilepsy.
Yeeeah.

Mold Removal Costs
Tumblr media
Hiring a professional mold removal company is essential for a variety of reasons. While you might want to save money, professional companies use high-end equipment and trained technicians. Their technicians can apply the proper techniques for mold remediation, check for any leftover mold growth, and provide you with a thorough report. Labor costs include time, high-efficiency vacuum equipment, and protective gear, including gloves and a face mask with a respirator. The costs of labor can make up to 60 percent of the total cost of a mold remediation project.
If you've gotten a musty smell in your home, you probably have some mold. If you don't recognize this odor, you can perform a visual inspection of the area. You'll notice clusters of pink, green, and black mold. This mold can be especially hazardous to properties that have suffered long-term water damage. Mold spores can attach to damp surfaces within 48 hours. If you notice the first signs of mold growth, make sure to contact a mold remediation orlando fl professional as soon as possible.
To avoid exposure to toxic molds, get rid of all mold in the area. While it might be tempting to use bleach to remove dirt mold, this method will not be very effective. It's also expensive, and it requires specialists. Not to mention the need for whole-house ventilation after the mold removal process is complete. If you're not sure whether you need mold removal services, Rainbow International is a locally-based, professional mold removal company that offers free estimates and flood damage checklists.
These professional mold removal service will assess the extent of the infestation and recommend a remediation plan. Some molds can be easily eliminated by yourself. Other molds, such as the one commonly found in indoor environments, can be cleaned with home remedies. Generally, a mold removal service costs $1500 to $5,000. The cost of a mold removal project depends on the extent of the damage caused by the mold. It also depends on whether it is toxic for people.
Hydrogen peroxide is another alternative to bleach. Unlike bleach, hydrogen peroxide does not damage the environment and does not produce toxic fumes. Hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean up surface mold on nonporous surfaces. Hydrogen peroxide is effective for cleaning surfaces such as clothing, walls, and bathroom fixtures. It can also remove leftover mold. It is a safer solution than bleach and has many benefits.
Some homeowners do not realize that their insurance policies often cover the cost of mold remediation. While this is true in some areas, it is still important to check your policy for specific coverage for this type of repair. In many cases, mold remediation is covered under homeowner's insurance, so it is a good idea to check the details before hiring a company. When choosing a mold removal company, always be sure to ask for references, and compare services. Cheap quotes may be indicative of substandard procedures, inadequate home protection equipment, or less experience.
EPA guidelines for mold removal are very specific. They only recommend remediation for smaller areas that do not contain more than ten square feet. In general, though, you can remove small amounts of mold with little effort yourself. However, you should always wear a N95 respirator and use a detergent and water solution, since the mold spores are airborne. The EPA also recommends that you use an air cleaner to collect any spores.  You can get more enlightened on this topic by reading here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mold.
