personal picks : set pattern with hisoka (pure trashy clown behavior right here, it's perfect) , right place, right time with illumi (featuring the troupe is such a fun touch, i love the witty banter and mind games between illumi and chrollo!) , last day out with chrollo (goodbye sunlight...it was nice while it lasted) , hypnagogia with illumi (i can just imagine him letting out a breath of relief once he sees darling alive, only for his expression to immediately change to an eerily blank slate) , with greatest care with pakunoda (she's both cloyingly sweet and bitterly dark when it comes to her darling) , and the sixth floor game with shalnark (this honestly feels like it could be a real game and just the thought of playing it gives me the chills)

✧ @wri0thesley ― nat is a lovely person and deserves the whole world (with some free clothes of their choice) ! i come back to their works all the time, and love reading some of their longer works before bed! their writing sucks me in and makes it difficult for me to pull my eyes away from my screen!

✧ @wyvernne ― wyvernne is an absolute beast (in terms of both quantity and quality) when it comes to writing! when i first stumbled upon her vampire diluc work, i read it all in one setting, and it took me over an hour to finish (and i'm a fast reader!) it was totally worth all the tears and missed sleep!

The more I play DGS the more I want a separate anime just for this whole era. I'm not even asking much. Just the cases and-

Soooo I suppose you can definitely count me in for the Barok van Zieks Simp Club. I feel like I owe him my soul and part of my income.

Such an iconic statement that it even transcends timelines. Barok must be Edgeworth's ancestor, right? (Yeah, I know, the "you're the entire circus" thing is just a meme).

I can understand his thoughts, though. Think about it from Barok's perspective for a moment. You are the most celebrated Crown prosecutor in the country who only takes on high-profile cases, not that you care about your own status, but you do want to make sure that the good name of the British judicial system doesn't get sullied. This nobody from a different country who did not even properly study law and who does not have any real world experience whatsoever shows up in court to pretend to do real attorney work. This wannabe also makes his debut defending one of the most notorious individuals in town, who you definitely know to be shady (let's leave it at that, okay?). Surely this kid can't be trusted, right? What's he up to?

The youngster goes on to disrespect court procedures because he's not familiar with them, accuses people without any shred of evidence, bluffs, puts forward hypotheses merely based on ideas or feelings, disregards many of the protocols. Of course the prosecution is frustrated. Wouldn't we all be if we were part of the game? What makes Ryunosuke charming to us as the audience, makes him bothersome to the characters in the game that are involved in all of this. :D

I'm actually surprised that prosecutor Van Zieks just goes along with it, when he would have had grounds to ask this learned friend to be removed from the courtroom due to being unfit for court. Barok is very patient and even helps Ryunosuke quite a bit/mentors him, as well as cooperates with him when he technically doesn't have to, because in the end, this prosecutor only cares about justice. (Gosh, there's more I want to say, but I will refuse to use any spoilers because I know you haven't finished the game yet, so let's end it here).

You absolutely speak my mind! A well-made anime in the world of DGS would be so very amazing. Hearing our beloved characters speak (as you've mentioned), seeing them move. The character design is superb, the world is beautiful. I adore the whole franchise (some games/characters more than others), but this cast is my favourite. From Ryunosuke to Barok to Susato to Iris etc., I love them all! I am not the same since I have finished this duology. Barok is my favourite character in the franchise (surprise, I know), with Ryunosuke coming in second and Susato coming in third, which is quite the achievement against such all-time-greats as Edgeworth, Phoenix and Maya. :)

Watched the first part of Stranger Things S4! My thoughts:

I have no idea why but something about this show..... I can never remember anyone's fucking name. Every time I watch a new season it's like "Which one is Mike again? Who's that kids older brother? Who is this?"

I really straight up forget that this is a horror themed show! Every time I think about it I imagine it as a Sci-Fi Action type show and then I watch a new season and go Holy Fucking Shit That's Terrifying. Why did they crack that girl apart like that.

The man stood in front of the weeping girl.

"Please. It'll be over soon enough."

The man unbuttoned his pants. The little girl kept crying.

"I wanna go home." She begged

"Shut up. You are home. Now, be a good girl and get on your knees." The man barked.

The little girl's cries weren't enough to make the man stop. His smile burned into the little girl's mind.

"Happy birthday, Sandy. I hope you like your present."

Sandy woke up on the couch with her head pounding. 'How much did I drink last night?' She looked around. The sun blinded her sight and ended up tripping on an empty bottle of chardonnay. Her hangover was really packing a punch this time. She glanced over at the clock as it read 10:15.

"Ugh, shit." Sandy mumbled to herself.

She knew for sure she would get fired if she didn't call in, not like she'd care, but money is money.

She went over to her phone and turned on her messaging machine.

"You have 1 new voicemail."

Sandy raised on eyebrow.

"Hey, Sandy. It's, uh, Arthur. I just wanted to check in on you from last night. You were, um, drunk. But uh, I, um, wanted to ask if you wanted to come over..... but you don't have to... ummm I'll hang up before this gets too long."

Sandy smiled at the message. It was nice to have him come over. Arthur was so sweet and kind to her. He consumed her thoughts. Was it bad to say it was love this early? Sandy didn't know how to act with this new found feeling, but she did want to see him again. So, she got dressed and headed down the elevator.

Sandy took a deep breath and knocked on his door. To her surprise, however, his mom answered.

"Can I help you?" The elderly woman said, sweetly, but with a hit of bitterness in her voice.

"Um, yes. Is Arthur home?" Sandy smiled, nervously.

His mother looked suspiciously at Sandy. She narrowed her eyes.

"Who are you?" Arthur's mother asked.

"I'm Sandy."

"How do you know my son?"

"I'm his, uhh, neighbor of some sort. Kind of like an acquaintance."

"If you barely know him then, why is he your concern?" Arthur's mother looked impatient. Her face was in a scowl.

"Well, you see, ma'am, he was at my apartment last night, and I wanted to-"

Rudely, the woman cut Sandy off my laughing.

"Ha. It's not like my son to have a girlfriend." The woman giggled some more.

"I'm not his girlfriend. I'm just an acquaintance. Now, will you let me see him or do I have to call him myself." Sandy sighed in frustration.

His mother glared daggers at her. "Stay away from my son. Arthur's a good boy, and I won't let just some measly whore taking him away from me. I suggest you take your services elsewhere."

She promptly slammed the door in her face.

"Why the FUCK would you bring a loaded gun into a children's hospital, Arthur?" Hoyt yelled over the payphone.

Arthur didn't know what to say. He gripped the phone tightly.

"I'm sick of the excuses, Art. Tomorrow, I want you to clean your locker." Hoyt hung up.

Arthur stood there in the phone booth with his full clown makeup and costume on. He slammed his head against the glass of the phone booth.

He took the last subway home. Three jerky guys were teasing a girl about a foot in front of him. Arthur tried to pay no mind to the guys, but then his fit happened.

The guys started to get closer to Arthur.

"Hey, look at this fucking clown."

Arthur continued to howl with laughter.

One of the guys sat down beside him humming 'Send in the clowns', before taking Arthur's clown wig.

Arthur couldn't stop his laughter as the boys kicked him on the ground. He took out a gun.

Bang. One of the guys kicking him feel to the ground.

"What the fuck, man?" The two men were trying to get away.

Bang, bang. Another guy fell, bet the other was injured.

Just as Arthur got closer to the man on the ground, he shot him three times. He fled the scene. His heart pounded in his chest.

He ran into a nearby bathroom.

Her day was finished. Despite being home from work, her day was still stressful. Sandy couldn't stop thinking about what Arthur's mother said.

'Some measly whore, huh? That's what he thinks about me?' Sandy growled in her thoughts. Her emotions were in a spin.

"Why is it so hard just to even be friends with someone?" Sandy yelled clenching her fists.

'Maybe I should just unwind.' She took a deep breath, and headed to her shower. She undressed herself carefully. She put a lime green robe on the bathroom doorknob. After unclasping her bra, she jumped in the shower. Hot water poured on her face like rain. The feeling was like a warm hug. She soaked in the delightful peace. She was drifting away in her thoughts, until she heard knocking at her apartment door. Quickly, she picked up the robe and put in on over her naked body.

"Coming." She announced.

Arthur stood in the doorframe with his clown makeup smudged from rain.

"Arthur? What are you doing-"

He slammed his chapped lips against Sandy's soft plump lips. Her eyes opened wide, as Arthur cupped her face to deepen kiss. After a minute of Sandy not kissing back, Arthur pulled away.

"I'm sorry." Arthur said, looking down at his feet.

"You don't have to be." Sandy whispered, pulling him into another kiss.

She placed his hand her hips. With each kiss, the passion deepened. Arthur started kissing down her neck.

"Oh~ Artie." Sandy moaned griping Arthur's hair as he bit and sucked on her neck. Arthur stopped kissing her neck to only then push her on the couch.

"You're beautiful, Sandy." Arthur whispered in her ear. "You're a goddess."

Sandy looked into Arthur's blue eyes. His eyes held pain, want, need, and desire.

Do you have any tips for making a trollsona?especially with the naming? I have one name for mine but the other elludes me. Isthey is superb, in both name and design and I want your advice if you're willing to give it?

OKAY so this ended up being a super long scramble so I’ll give it a cut!

sure thing! I’ve actually always wanted to share my naming process of my fantrolls! I usually take a word (most often an english word) and butcher it! you’d be surprised how little people actually notice. sure it’s fun to give everyone Secret Meaning names but its not something that ever made me personally endeared and I dont like spending 5 hrs in google translate.So names like Isthey Lowkey = This character is someone who uses they/them and is very shy a.k.a they are lowkey!Smalbu Knowin = Small but knowing! Knowing is a word that can be shortened really simply so I just combined the first two words. She is inspired by the small but knowing clown and I wanted to keep it simple!Jekyll Toosho = Like Dr Jekyll (which is already 6 letters) and Toosho is a shortening of the phrase goodie Two Shoes. They’re a grounded person who sticks to the rules!and Heidei Nemsis = Similar to the name of Mr Hyde! I just kind of lengthened it. And their second name is a word scramble of the word Nemesis because they are Doing Big Crimes. I always keep it very simple! And keeping the words as English in route means a lot of my followers will also have no trouble seeing how theyre pronounced.

As for Designing! I think its always most important to have the Sign of the troll and their Blood Colour before you start working! The sign always plays a huge role for me when Im doing designs and its a big help!

im just using isthey bc they are the most prominent example of the sign looking a lot like the character! if your sign is round make them round if your sign is spikey give them lots of edges! its a good rule of thumb!

Also! Complimentary colours! So good for character design in general but they really bring a character design together!

I’m always very fond of the blue to yellow colours but for isthey I gave them a green belt because it is the opposite colour on the colour wheel to the rust red I was using! When the colour changes like that and is integrated well it makes the design pop and gives it the whole Main Character effect.

I think those are my biggest notes! Sorry this is so long but yeah! If you want I did do an ask meme for a while where I designed trolls after peoples blogs and put design notes in the tags! It’ll be a hard find though because tumblr junked up my search system. Thanks for sending this in but sorry for the huge ass reply.
