I totally get gendered petnames like dude, sis, bro, and whatever else, and I get why some people might be confused as to why some trans people might take issue with a petname you might think is neutral. However, I do want people to remember that trans people often have different relationships with those petnames because they're gendered, and they might be uncomfortable with those connotations. A trans woman who doesn't want you to call her "dude" is probably not doing it to anger or accuse you of anything, but she might just have a negative relationship with that word.

I get that it can be hard to change habits, but it is worth it to include trans people. If a trans person in your life asks you not to use certain words, I promise they aren't trying to fuck you over or make you feel like you're under attack. They are just expressing a boundary - one that cis people also express.

Sitting outside with Ren on break while Angel went to the bathroom wasn't something Eddie minded. But when his friend steps foot in, completely a new person with bright pink hair and pastel themed attire, it really set him into confusion. Was this even the Ren Eddie knew?

Of course it was, the Ren he knew, although adorned in mostly black clothes and tattoos (and piercings) most of the time was a person pleaser. An Angel pleaser to be exact.

As the two sat on the ground in front of the entrance (which Eddie didn't really care since barely any customers come around this time of night), Eddie couldn't help but take in Ren's new appearance again, heterochromia eyes scanning the pink male's figure before looking out at the busy road across the gas station.

"You look ugly y'know," Eddie starts off, watching his breath visibly dissipate into the cold winter air. Ren's eyebrows furrow together knowing this reaction was inevitable. It was a similar reaction Ezra and Krow had given him and it probably wouldn't be the last time he heard it. "Has Diva seen you?" The twin finishes with a question. "Yeah, she liked it." Ren mutters out, arms crossed on his tucked up knees. "Of course she did, she likes anything pink." The grey hair male retorts with a small snort.

The two then sat in silence as the sounds of passing cars continued before Eddie speaks up again. "Angel must really suck."

Ren then felt his insides bubble with anger and was ready to argue back until his friend continued, "To not see how great you are." "Huh?" "If you have to change yourself to appeal to Angel, they must have really bad taste."

The pink hair male looks at Eddie with slightly widen eyes, almost at disbelief with what he's hearing. Eddie isn't a rude person, but this was the first time Ren was hearing this from him. Eddie looks up at him with soft eyes, but quickly averts them away in shyness. "I think,, you're really,,, attractive how you normally are." He compliments with a quieter tone. And with just that, Eddie then leans his head towards Ren, slightly nudging the side of the (barely) taller male's own, almost like a cat wanting a pet.

"Haha, you think so Ed?" "I know so."

ok another headcanon and is from my ultimate comfort favs:

When demo got first hired by pauling he was like very shy and introverted at some point where everyone wasn’t like… that conjoined and besties as how they are now. And i feel like he got a pretty rough time to even start to talk with his teammates or get a tiny friendship with them.

And he often times was very threatened by small lady in glasses that liked to be strict with them in their first day since… it was business only ofc

but by the time when pauling got a bit more soft with them, and got also a bit friendly with demo i feel like at some point he started to develop a tiny crush with her since she was the one who often talks more with, and i have this other hc that also he would fell easily with people that befriends him (not like anyone of course it really does depends the person for him)

so you know pauling it’s nerdy and a bit sensitive (she cries very easily) and she is very friendly or a bit more extrovert if she gets to, but like in a sense where she is more ambivert too. uhhh idk she is just talkative with people if you get her chance where she’s not busy and will tell you to go to hell. rough lady

and he liked that! i think he thought they both shared some stuffs along and can infodump their love for guns and for the work they are in and then if they can go a bit personal with some drinks and he liked that he could share this stuffs with her all chill and cool

but i feel like he just had this side secret crush with her and stopped those want to be romantic feelings because he really saw she is not like, up to those stuffs, she is so focused on work and also stressed and depressed like him and he could just understand that she just only want someone to listen to her but she will not like, pay that much attention about romantic relationships and he could completely understand that once he get to know her more deeply. and he just couldn’t do that to the one who also considered a friend and he probably guessed she will not feel the same for him but that didn’t like hurt him and is not like he ever confessed to her. he just had those secret feelings for her for a time and then realized she was not really like the one for him to be in a relationship

and that’s where i thought of him now having a more soft spot for her and caring her like a sister (not like literally but in a familiar soft spot sense, but that’s ofc his friend)
