6 ways to support your gay little brother

Okay I need an Iggy and Ian friendship.
Like just imagine Iggy and Mickey reconnecting after Terry's death and one day Mickey comes home thinking there's a fight because his brother and husband are yelling and swearing in every direction.
But he turns the corner and there they are playing Mario cart.
And Mickey is just standing there dumbfounded watching these two idiots in front of him until Ian finally wins the game (causing a very swore-loser Iggy to grumble and throw some popcorn in his brother-in-law's direction) and both of them turn around at the sound of Mickey grunting. Ian jumps up and lovingly greets his husband while iggy calls out from the couch "Sup little bro!" and "Gayyyyyy!"

Sometimes I think about how Mickey & the Milkovich’s very first storyline is centered around them getting revenge on someone who they think hurt their little sister.
Mickey was just scouring the south side with a bat prepared to do ANYTHING for her without any question or need for proof, clearly so protective of her & his family. And the way no one’s even surprised by it shows that this isn’t the first time the Milkovich boys have gone after someone they think has fucked with Mandy.
They grew up in a house of horrors where all they had was each other, it almost seems like if they couldn’t protect each other from Terry, then at least they could do whatever they could to protect each other from everyone else.
And then that side of their dynamic which was set up as such a core element of their family was just forgotten about and never really explored again after, but I WISH we could’ve seen more of it.

Full Mag Part 1
It's been sitting in my brain screaming for over a month. Clawing at the walls, trying to get out. So here's the first part of my Gallavich uncles fic.
Ian loves having an apartment all to himself with Mickey. It means privacy, domesticity, a space just for them in the early years of their marriage. Inevitably they'll find a bigger place. Maybe move back to the southside where Mickey is more comfortable. Ian could live with that, as long as he has Mickey he's okay with most things.
"Iggy, what the fuck?!"
Ian rolls his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. They keep getting noise complaints from their neighbors and while most of it is sex-related, a good portion is due to Mickey's poor volume control.
Ian sighs at the sound of Mickey screaming at his older brother on the phone and can only imagine the trouble Iggy could be in. Iggy calls every once in a while to bust his baby brother's balls or ask for money. Sometimes Mickey agrees, other times he curses Iggy out and hangs up on him. Right now it seems to be the latter.
Not even 20 seconds later, Mickey is rushing past Ian to grab his jacket off the hook.
"Where are you going?" Ian stands, wondering what Iggy could've said that has Mickey rushing to get out of the apartment.
"Where do you think? Asshole got himself arrested and now we need to go down to the station." Mickey grabs Ian's leather jacket off the hook and tosses it to him, stomping his feet into his Timberlands after doing so.
Iggy may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he knows when to look apologetic. Especially when he's sitting in an interrogation room and he can see Mickey walk into the precinct, his husband in tow. It doesn't take long for Mickey to snap his attention through the window and give one lethal glare that makes Iggy immediately look away.
Ian stands behind Mickey with his hands in his jacket pockets and stares at the ground, waiting for Mickey to ask to see his brother. He's not shaken by the turn of events, after all between him, Lip, and especially Carl he'd already had his share of precinct visits. No biggie.
Iggy lifts his head as his younger brother and brother-in-law walk into the interrogation room. He gives the same goofy smile that Mickey has seen since they were kids and that never fails to irritate him to high heavens. Mainly because it's always followed by the dumbest thing that's ever been said and/or done.
"What the hell did you do, dumbass?" Mickey drops down into the chair across the table and leans into Ian's hand that rests on his shoulder.
"It wasn't my fault! You know how these pigs are. See a Milkovich and immediately jump to the worst-case scenario. All I know is, I was grabbing a beer from the convenience store, was gonna pay and everything, and next thing I know I'm face down and my hands are cuffed." Iggy huffs with irritation, chewing the corner of his bottom lip.
Mickey rubs his eyebrow, already feeling the beginnings of a migraine coming on. "So what? You need money?"
"No something else, something bigger. It's also why I asked you to bring Gallagher. Cause I know he'll say yes."
Ian's head whips up from where he'd been staring at the floor. "How do you know? I could easily say no to whatever you want."
Iggy laughs, cutting his eyes to Mickey. "I need you to watch my daughter."

Calli, any Milkovich sibling HC, But stuck on those for a bit.
Iggy knew/suspected Mickey was gay. He didn’t care. He might not be the smartest but he knows his siblings. If he’d been around when Terry found out, he would have defended Mickey. Years later, Mickey shares what happened when Terry caught him and Ian and it makes Iggy so angry.
He never finds out what Terry did to Mandy. Neither does Mickey. Colin suspected but was never sure and never asks in case he’s wrong.
Mandy’s favourite sibling is Mickey. (Not that she’d ever tell him that). She was never that close to Iggy or Colin. But they do care for each other in their own ways.
Once Mandy leaves Chicago, she tracks down Molly. They keep in touch and become closer as time goes on.
Iggy and Colin are in and out of prison a lot but by their late twenties, they get their shit together and stay out of jail for good.
Over time, the siblings have regular meet-ups. They bicker a lot. But it’s fun and nice. They don’t really talk about the darkness of their childhoods or Terry much and if they do, they try and joke about it so as not to get too angsty about things.
They have a sibling group chat which is them roasting the fuck out of each other and also full of selfies where their flipping off the camera.
When Iggy gets out of jail for the last time, Mickey gives him a temporary job at his and Ian’s security business. But Iggy’s good at it, so he becomes a permanent employee. (Despite the fact he constantly teases Mickey)
Mandy wanted to go to Ian and Mickey’s wedding but found the idea of going back to Chicago and seeing everyone too much. She sent them a good present - a really expensive bottle of champagne and two fancy glasses. When they drink it, they share a toast to her.
When Terry dies, she moves back to Chicago. She thought it would be difficult but she finds it freeing knowing she’s living and thriving in the city while he’s dead.
Laura was not the perfect mother but she did try and they all have a handful of good memories about her. She came very close to taking them all and leaving Terry at one point but it never worked out. The siblings don’t know how close they came to having a better childhood.
As adults, they get really drunk one evening and all get matching ‘m’ tattoos on their wrists.
The siblings fought and argued as kids but they always shared food and looked after each other if one got sick or injured. It wasn’t always perfect. They didn’t always know what to do but they tried.
They all wore the same hand me downs. Even Mandy until she hit her teenage years and Laura gave her some of her old clothes. Mandy was big into thrift shopping because Laura took her once. She becomes an expert in finding clothes that look trendy but were cheap. She still gets bullied at lot at school but she pretends it doesn’t bother her.
They all end in therapy at one point or another. Some for longer than others. But they all find it helpful in certain ways.
The best memories they have about their childhood involve staying up late and watching shitty movies, crushed together on the couch. All of them talking over the actual movie and giving their own commentaries. This only happened when Terry was in jail or passed out.
One year they attempt to make some Ukrainian food that Laura made one year. It’s a bit of a disaster but they have fun doing it, even if what they make doesn’t taste that good.
They’re not as close as the Gallagher siblings but they do care and love each other in their own Milkovich way.
Does anyone else have any Milkovich sibling headcanons? Please do share!

Imagine if Terry got our of prison and came home and when he gets out the car he notices there's no party waiting for him. The cousins blame each other and swear it was someone else's turn to send out the group text. "Where is party? I got our of prison I get party?", he's a sad man.
He enters the house a right away notices the house is cleaner and see's his children having a family dinner. They don't notice him walking in.
His brain breaks. Are his kids happy? Without him? Is that Mickey's whore wife plating vegetables on everyone's plate? Are they all getting along? Why is that red head queer here feeding food to his grandson? This scene does not compute.
Would a fight break out? Probably. But I'm going to say Terry is so overwhelmed that he turns around and leaves with the cousins and heads to a bar to get trashed. He's hurt, confused, jealous, and lonely. And honestly that could be the karma he deserves.

Barbed Wire
Mickey’s eight years old when he slips on the ice covered footpath and falls into the barbed wire that was discarded near the steps.
-
The Milkovich house is not the most kid friendly house. It’s a fact.
From the obvious firearms littered on every surface to unattended drugs left in easy reach to the less obvious rotting food and lack of bills being paid.
Terry Milkovich made sure their house was unapproachable from the outside. Beer cans littering the yard and pieces of scrap metal paired with untrained vicious dogs chained to the broken fences.
Mickey’s eight years old when he slips on the ice covered footpath and falls into the barbed wire that was discarded near the steps. The pain is instant and he forgoes the instinct to hold his cries in that tie with his surname and fucking screams.
Iggy and Colin rush outside, already wearing coats because someone hadn’t paid the heating bill, and stand at the scene before them.
There’s blood staining his tatty jeans and his jacket is torn, wire poking through excess fabric.
The barbed wire is old and rusty, blunt and not causing harm in most places but some are still sharp and they fucking hurt.
Mickey’s sobbing as he lays in the mess of wire, scared and in pain. He tries to move himself out but finds himself getting even more tangled and he hiccups as one pokes into his back.
“Fuck” Colin swears “Mick, shit, you’ve got to stay fucking still!”
He doesn’t listen and moves anymore, trying to dislodge the spikes in his arm and screeching when it goes in deeper.
They can’t call an ambulance, doubts one will even come to these parts of the city. Can’t call the cops but what the fuck are they meant to do?
Iggy takes a step forward, kneels down in the cold grass and lets his hands hover over the wire. He’s probably gonna get torn to shreds but there’s no other options at this point. He takes a breath and carefully grabs a piece of wire. Colin follows shortly and settles on the other side, still trying to get Mickey to calm down.
“Fuck” Iggy curses, retracting his hand and shaking it out “We need fucking wire cutters”
“We got bolt cutters!” Colin exclaims. He stands up and rushes back into the house.
“Mick” he tries to calm his brother down “You gotta stay still, you’re making it worse”
“It hurts!” Mickey says tearfully “It’s in my back”
Colin comes back, almost slipping on the ice himself in the hurry he was in, with the cutters they use to steal bikes with.
He grimaces as he crouches down and snaps one of the wires in one firm snip. It falls in a heap around Mickey’s leg. Gaining confidence he goes as fast as he can, Mickey hiccups when the wire snags and scrapes through his clothing.
None of the neighbours have even cared to come over and see what the fuss is about. No one would dare to help a Milkovich even if it was an eight year old boy whose only crime so far is stealing pet food to feed stray animals and being born into a shitty family.
Mickey lets out a yelp when one of the wires flicks back into him.
“Okay” Colin says “I’ve got the ones not in you out of the way but it’s going to be painful now okay?”
“It’s already painful!” Mickey chokes out
“I know” Iggy replies “But we just gotta get it over and done with yeah?”
Mickey nods and takes a deep breath. Colin nods to himself and takes a snip at a wire close to Mickey’s arm, he hisses and shuffles around.
“I’m gonna have to cut your clothes, Mick”
“No” Mickey whines “Mum got me this jacket!”
“I know” Iggy takes his pocket knife out “But we need to cut them to get the barbed parts out”
Iggy doesn’t wait for Mickey’s response and tears through the fabric to make way for Colin to get the barbed pieces out. It looks worse now that they can see it embedded in his skin. Most of them aren’t deep, just enough that they snag on the skin and will leave some faint scarring. The ones pressed into the back of him are worse.
“What did you do today, Mick?” Colin asks out of the blue
“What?” Mickey turns to look at his older brother. Face red and blotchy.
“What did you do today?” Colin repeats, eyes glancing up to Iggy. Iggy gets it now.
“I went to school” Mickey says
“That’s right” Iggy smiles, he probably looks insane but he doesn’t care at this point. “Did you have fun?”
“Yeah” Mickey sniffs “We played kickball in P.E”
“Did your team win?” Colin asks, snapping a wire while Mickey’s distracted.
“No one wanted me on their team” he says “They said I was too short and smelt funny”
“Well they’re a bunch of fuck heads anyway”
“Yeah” Mickey cries out when Colin quickly removes a shallow piece from his arm “They suck”
“Did you win though?” Iggy asks
“Yeah”
They keep going like this for the next few minutes. Distracting Mickey with meaningless questions and carefully removing wire. They stopped when all the ones in easy reach were removed.
“Okay, Mick” Colin puts his hands on his thighs “This is gonna suck ass but Iggy is going to pull you up so I can reach the ones in your back”
Mickey nods and squeezes his eyes shut as Iggy gently but firmly pulls him into a seated position. None of them were embedded in the back of his legs, the ones that were caught on his jeans already removed. Mickey lets out a whimper and Colin gets to work.
The ones on his back were deeper than the others after having all of Mickey’s weight resting on them. He slices the jacket and  t-shirt so he could reach them easily. Mickey shivers at the cold air touching his skin and tenses his shoulders.
“Relax, Mick. It’s gonna be a lot less painful if you don’t tense like that”
“Okay”
Colin takes an audible breath before cutting the wire close to Mickey’s skin to loosen the barbed wire. Mickey squeezes Iggy’s hands tightly and grimaces.
“Fuck” Mickey gets out “Is it nearly done?”
“Two more” Colin replies “This one’s a little deeper so it might hurt a bit more”
“It’s been hurting the whole time”
“I know, I know” Colin says “Okay, deep breath in on three. One, two -”
“OW!” Mickey yelps, eyes wide open “That wasn’t three!”
“Last one” Iggy says “Then we can go inside, yeah?”
“Yeah” Colin replies “We can have some of the barbeque pringles you like! We got some the other day”
“Okay” Mickey grimaces again “Can you hurry up?”
“Yeah, okay, let’s do this”
Mickey sighs in relief when he feels the prickly wire leave his back. Iggy tugs him up into a standing position and turns him around so he can have a look at his back. There was blood sluggishly making its way down his spine but it was already slowing down and drying.
“Come on, Colin’s gonna get rid of the wire so we have no more accidents” Iggy leads him up the stairs and into the house. He kicks away some of the discarded trash and takes him to the bathroom to clean up the wounds. “Gonna have some sick scars, all the girls are gonna think you’re tough as shit”
A decade later, Ian’s pressing open mouthed kisses onto his back. Mouthing at the scars that littered his skin.
“How’d you get these?” he asks one night “They’re kinda random”
Mickey takes a deep breath.
“When I was eight”

thinking about iggy milkovich spending a night digging a grave because mandy asked him to

I can totally see Mickey being a "talkative" baby who babbled while he sat on the floor and watched his brothers and Terry walk around the house. He tries to grab a knife sitting on the table (because the Milkovich is the opposite of baby-proof) and Iggy snatches it away. Now Mickey is stomping his little foot and yelling at him, though the only words he knows are "mine" and "fuck".
this is so accurate??
i don’t think that the milkoviches all took care of eachother in the way that the gallagher’s did but i definitely think that colin and iggy looked after mickey when he was little.
i wonder who taught him the word fuck? was it even taught to him? did he just hear it thrown around so frequently that he just said it? or did iggy sound it out to him to try and make him say it? i must know.

Galladrabbles - Still into you
I must admit I never had a single thought about writing a drabble about anyone other than the "original" Gallavich. But then I saw the Debbie/Sandy drabbles and they made me so happy.
So I thought about there are other Gallavich to write about. And landed on Lip/Mandy. But I'm not Mandy's biggest fan and Lip has six or seven percents to answer for...so here I am presenting you a very niche Gallavich AU pairing: Lip/Iggy
This may be nothing, this may be something... Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it!
@galladrabbles - I wrote something weird for @crossmydna 's song prompt: Still into you.
<
Lip steps inside the office with a heavy sigh.
“Welcome! Happy first day at work!” Ian grins. “Let me show you to your desk.”
Lip would punch his little brother if he also wasn’t his boss now.
But he needs the money and to flex his brain cells again. Bookkeeping suits him.
Even if it’s for fucking Gallagher-Milkovich Security.
He sighs, follows Ian. His husband’s nowhere in sight.
But someone’s there. Curly hair. Big blue Milkovich eyes. Still the same boyish grin.
“Here we are. You’re gonna share with Iggy. Hope that’s not a problem.”
He wishes he could leave.
