so, this is the first thing i’ve actually written in forever, lol. some context:
1. the story takes place during Chapter 8 of the game, which is different in my AU, since it’s when Ardyn confronts Stella. this is the aftermath of that.
2. i like to think of Stella’s mindset about herself here as a bit of foreshadowing for how Ignis later feels about himself in regards to his own injuries...something they have in common, that strengthens their bond during the World of Ruin.
hurt/comfort, Ignis Scientia x Stella Maris (Ignis x OC)
--
One, two, three sugars. That's way too many sugars, Ignis thought to himself as he carefully stirred the mug of coffee in his hand.
One, two, three days...that was how long they'd been out here. Since they'd resorted to camping again, their funds too short for a motel, or even a caravan, now. Not without skimping on curatives or fresh groceries, anyway, which Ignis absolutely would not allow. They needed to fall back into some sense of normalcy, he'd remarked to Gladio a few nights prior. Even if they were doing it out in the wilderness. Even if none of them really felt 'normal'.
And that was how Ignis found himself in this present situation, standing alone in front of the camp stove, mindlessly stirring Stella's coffee. The other three had left after breakfast with a list of mid-level hunts in tow, the collective rewards of which would hopefully earn them a hotel room in the near future, even if they all had to share it. For all his determination in wanting to keep everyone on track despite the circumstances, Ignis had failed to consider the sense of normalcy that came with a good shower. He'd practically kill for one right about now.
If he was going to be honest, though, it had been painfully obvious right from the beginning that Stella's recovery was going to take a lot longer than any of them wanted to admit. It wasn't just the mysterious wounds that ravaged her upper back; it was her apparent loss of touch with reality...for the first 48 hours or so, she'd barely even been able to remember where she was. Ignis could only guess that it had something to do with the way they'd found her...trapped atop a burning building, of all things. Almost too perfect. Almost as if whoever attacked her had known something...
Ignis shut his eyes and shook his head, forcing an end to that train of thought for probably the millionth time. He'd already considered every possibility at this point with no results; he was set to drive himself crazy if he kept it up. There was no sense in pondering answers until Stella herself could remember something. And, as of right now, she still hadn't.
He turned to her then, towards her small form that was currently hunched over in a chair on the far end of the haven. Her back was to him, covered by the blanket that he had loosely draped across her shoulders earlier that day, and her hair, all shades of maroon in the mid-morning light, fell over it in various messy curls.
To look at her now, he could almost convince himself nothing was wrong. It wasn't uncommon for Stella to nod off in the middle of the day; she was similar to her cousin in that way. Almost like a cat, Ignis thought to himself, and felt a small smile curl at his lips. ...And cats have nine lives, right?
Taking one last glance at the stove, Ignis set the spoon down on the table and made his way over to Stella, being careful not to startle her as he approached. His voice came out low, and a lot calmer than he was expecting, as he crouched down in front of her chair, the mug of coffee clutched between his hands.
"Stella. Are you awake?"
It took a moment, but the girl slowly stirred in her seat at the sound of his words, a hint of deep aquamarine peeking out from her heavy-lidded eyes as she tilted her head to look at him. Ignis released a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Of course, she just dozed off. Everything is fine.
"Hi, Iggy." Stella's voice was softer than usual, and obviously still burdened by sleep. She shifted a little and winced, no doubt newly remembering the bandages that were snugly wrapped around her torso. Ignis had repeatedly done his best to make sure they weren't too tight, but he couldn't help worrying, especially now.
"How are you feeling? Does it hurt a lot?" Without thinking, he brought his hand to her forehead, relieved when she didn't seem feverish.
Stella, who normally loathed being fussed over, merely shrugged, most likely having already made peace with the abnormal amount of attention she'd been receiving for the past several days. "...I guess it already hurts as much as it's gonna hurt, right?" She managed a small smile as her eyes met his.
Ignis bit his lip, staring back at her with an abundance of concern. He hated this. To see her like this. And he hated how useless he felt. He'd be fretting over her regardless, but it wasn't any sort of solution to this problem. There was no solution, no one to blame for any of this...yet. And knowing that, being constantly aware of it, made every action on his part feel pointless. Stella wasn't herself. Nothing felt the same at all, not since what had happened. He often wondered if he was even getting through to the person he knew...and the mere fact that he had to wonder that, caused him so much more pain than anything else.
Remembering the mug in his hand, Ignis took a deep breath and collected himself. No sense in making it obvious how upset he was, how scared he was...it was the last thing Stella needed right now. Besides, it wasn't like there hadn't been any improvement...at least she seemed aware of her surroundings lately, which was more than he could say for the beginning of the ordeal. He had to hold onto the hope that she would be fine eventually, that the person he loved would make a full recovery. What else was there to do?
Gently taking one of Stella's hands in his, Ignis carefully handed her the mug, deliberately making sure she had a good grip on it before slowly pulling away. He watched as she steadied her hands around it, noting that she didn't seem to be trembling as much today. Progress, he reminded himself. Things will be okay.
"I made you coffee, the way you like it," he explained, as she brought the mug to her lips. "...Or, I guess I made you a cup of milk and sugar, and added some coffee at the end." He waited for her to finish drinking, and was relieved to see her smiling again, much more genuinely than the last time.
"Thanks, Iggy." Stella actually looked somewhat content, and she glanced around a bit. "...What time is it? Where are the others?"
"Out hunting. I told you before you fell asleep, remember?" He asked cautiously, hoping she actually did remember.
Stella nodded at that, staring down at her mug before taking another sip of coffee. "...So then, I missed breakfast?"
"It's alright," Ignis replied quickly, unwilling to admit that he hadn't exactly eaten, either. It would've felt too strange, eating alone while he waited for her to wake up. Both of their plates sat cold. "...I can fix you something for lunch instead. What would you--" He stopped abruptly when he realized she'd started crying.
It wasn't anything new at this point, but it still tore his heart apart to see it. Stella never cried. She prided herself on that, actually, despite years of his repeated attempts to explain to her why it was okay to cry, why it didn't have to be seen as a vulnerability. For the past week since she'd been injured, though, crying came easily to her. It was almost as if she was making up for lost time.
Ignis brought a hand to the girl's face, brushing a few of her tears away with his thumb. "...Hey...Stella, it's really alright. We'll eat lunch together, okay?" He could only imagine how unpleasant it must feel to constantly be fading in and out the way she had been...how frustrating to count on something and then find out you'd missed it, over and over, for days.
"That's not it," Stella turned away from his touch, bringing her own hand up to wipe at her still-flowing tears. "...I just...I hate that you've been stressing over me. Hate that you're always stressing over me. ...I must do this to you a lot, huh?" She tried to force a chuckle at the end, but it only came out as a weak sob.
Ignis froze, unsure of how to respond. He didn't consider it 'stress', really, and besides, it wasn't as if any of this was her fault. She couldn't help what had happened, what she'd been through. She was suffering more than any of them right now; the very least he could do was try and make things easier for her. When he looked at it like that, he couldn't call it 'stress'. He was stressed for her, maybe, but she wasn't the source of it. The whole situation was the source of it; the situation she had already been the victim of. He certainly didn't want her putting any blame on herself.
"It's just..." Stella continued, sniffling a bit as she stared down at her lap again, at the mug she still held in her other hand. "...Well, I'm useless now. I can't fight...I can hardly even walk. And you're all having to do everything, and..." She trailed off for a moment, attempting to compose herself. "...What good am I, as a Crownsguard, if I can't even protect Noct? Why am I even still here. That's how I feel."
Ignis opened his mouth to speak, before realizing he didn't even know where to begin. There were too many different ways to explain just how wrong she was, how misguided her views seemed to be. He couldn't imagine this journey without her...the past five years of his life, without her. Did she really believe that her presence meant so little? That she was only here to serve a specific purpose?
"...Probably..." Stella's voice was barely above a whisper now, tears falling steadily as she continued to stare down at her lap. "...Probably, you should all just leave me behind."
Without even stopping to think, Ignis found himself reaching for the girl, pulling her towards him so her head rested against his shoulder. Being mindful of her injured back, he ran a hand through her hair instead, closing his eyes tightly as he worked out what to say. "...Stella...that's not..." He drew in a shaky breath, trying as hard as he could to compose himself.
"I'm sorry," Stella murmured into his neck, taking a deep breath of her own as she attempted to calm herself down. "...I didn't mean to get so upset. I...I haven't been sleeping very well in the tent, and I think..."
"You haven't been sleeping?" Ignis cut her off without intending to, his concern growing. "Why didn't you say anything...?" He tried to remember if he'd noticed her awake at night, in the tent...if he'd heard her say something. He was usually the last to bed, but he had to admit he'd been exhausted lately...
"...W-well...it's just the ground...it's uncomfortable," Stella had seemed to relax against him now, for which he was grateful. She sounded like she had stopped crying, too. "...And I know Prom gave me an extra blanket, but...it's really hard...when you can't lay on your back..." She trailed off. Ignis wondered if she was falling asleep again right now. He sighed deeply, pressing a soft kiss into her hair.
"...You should have said something," he started. "...We would have figured something out..."
"I'm the reason we're out here," came Stella's immediate response. "You think I don't know? We're out of money. Because of me. Because I can't hunt and I'm dragging everybody down. Knowing that, how could I say anything? You all deserve to be able to sleep..." she snorted, almost sounding like her old self, just a bit.
Ignis took in another deep breath, trying to figure out how exactly he wanted to phrase what he needed to say. "...I...will make sure that you're able to sleep from now on," his voice was steady, for all the emotion behind it. "...But..." he hesitated, pressing another kiss into her hair. "...Please don't say such things...about yourself. About your place here. If it weren't for you...if you weren't here, I'd..." He cut himself short as he noticed the familiar sound of their three companions loudly making their way back up the path to the haven. "...I will make sure you're able to sleep," Ignis repeated, before realizing Stella had already met him halfway.
--
Late that night, Ignis followed his usual routine as he made his way around camp, seeing that the fire was completely out and gathering any discarded bottles or utensils leftover from dinner. The evening had been mostly uneventful, and everyone was relieved to know this would be the last night they'd be spending outside, at least for now...the day's hunts had brought in more than enough money for a hotel room, and the group would be setting off come morning.
Taking one last look around, Ignis slowly headed towards the tent, crawling inside carefully so as not to wake anyone. He'd already been able to hear Gladio's snoring for quite some time now, but Noctis and Prompto didn't seem bothered by it; he could tell they were both sound asleep.
His focus then turned to Stella, who was curled up at the far end of the tent, on top of her sleeping bag and at least two blankets. He'd no doubts she was awake, now that he'd stopped to consider it; nothing about sleeping on your stomach on the ground could possibly be comfortable. Ignis took his place beside her, his voice barely above a whisper, just in case.
"Stella...are you awake?"
Her eyes opened then, just a bit, and she nodded slightly before closing them again.
Ignis got himself situated in his own sleeping bag, adjusting the blankets around him before reaching over and lightly tapping Stella's arm. She opened her eyes once more and stared at him quizzically; he wondered if she remembered his promise from earlier.
Nodding towards himself as if to say come here, Ignis gently grabbed hold of Stella's arm, helping to pull her up onto his chest so she lay across him. It took her a moment to get comfortable, but it wasn't long before he felt her sigh against the crook of his neck, and a faint smile danced across his lips.
"...Better?" He asked softly, running his fingers through her hair. He hummed as he felt her nod in response, and then closed his own eyes, finally feeling like he may get some decent sleep, as well.
The next day, they both slept until noon.

Hello everyone, since I made a KARDYN short story yesterday why not even it out with another KATNIS ship story. This version of the story takes place in EPISODE IGNIS so spoilers??? (Idk it's been out for years)
I like the alternate endings bc it was more eventful I guess. Just like that fight more than the normal one. BUT I wanna make my own alternative ending!
This ship is in a different universe than to my KARDYN short stories
Worth Fighting For
Rating/Warning: minor blood, weapons, etc.
★★★★★
It was chaos in Altissia. Leviathan woke up super cranky and is giving Noctis a hard time. I hope Luna knows what she's doing...
Ignis and I have already lost Prompto and Gladio thanks to Titan being summoned and a magitek air ship crashed into the bridge we were on. Fighting through the districts was not easy either, even with Ravus' help. His passive aggressive tone didn't help. Once we reached the altar, it was horrible. Luna was gone and Noctis didn't seem like he wanted to wake up. Ravus held his sister in great sorrow.
"Luna!" I screamed as I ran to her. Her lips were already blue and cold from the cold water and chilling sea spray. I knew it would take all my strength to heal her past this point without The Tree of Songs to help me. Tears fell down my cheeks. "If only I came here sooner..."
"You have done enough..." Luna's spirit smiled down at me. Even in death her voice spoke from her heart. "Protect those close to your heart, Fight..."
"I will Luna..." I smiled and gave her a parting blessing. Taking her friendship crystal I gave to her long ago. "You will always be remembered"
"Oh what a sentimental statement Lady Katerina, truly spoken poetry" Ardyn chimed.
I whipped around but before I could attack, Ravus was shot back with dark magic and Ignis was pinned down by soldiers. I quickly shielded Noctis the best I could, I couldn't even summon my wings, my magic was already so low. "Don't you dare Ardyn! I know your intentions! This will bring you nothing!"
"Katerina!" Ignis struggled against the soldiers' grip.
Ardyn chuckled, "what do you know about me dear princess?" He grabbed and pulled my hair and lifted me. I winced and whined with pain as I gripped his hand to try and get him off. "You know NOTHING" he held his blade to my neck.
Then my brave familiar ran from me and grabbed the ring in her mouth. She ran to Ignis. "Dove Run!" Soon Ignis escaped and took the ring and glared at Ardyn. Dove hissed from Ignis' shoulder.
"Let. Her. Go!" He growled. "Take me instead!"
"Ignis...I'll be fine!" I looked at him with pleading eyes. I saw nothing but determination in his.
"No! I'm not letting you take her away!" Ignis shouted.
Ignis held up the ring and he sheds a tear, "I swore to stand by Noct and keep him safe but I WILL NOT tolerate you threatening the one I love!" He shoved the ring onto his finger and screamed out in pain.
"IGNIS!!!" I cried out. Right before my eyes I saw Ignis transformed by the ring. His eyes engulfed by purple flames, his hair entirely down and damp from the rain. He soon teleported backwards and Ardyn teleported with me forwards.
"Guess the Gods favor you after all" Ardyn growled in a smooth low tone. He threw me to the side as I hit broken columns.
I was trying to keep conscious while they fought. I heard blade against blade clanging against each other. Regular blood and black blood scattered the wet stone floor of the altar. Diluting as the fight went on. I had to stop this before Ignis got killed. With the last of my magic I teleported all of us where no one else would get hurt. Not heading the yells of my sisters as they ran towards the fight when I did. I coughed up blood due to the strain on my body.
"stop this nonsense Ardyn!" I wheezed, holding my side. Stumbling on the walkway to the Crystal, just outside the orb holding it.
Ignis realized what I had done, before he could act he ran out of time. He collapsed to his knees. His face ashen from the magical flames.
"so the little Guardian wants to play with the Daemon..." Ardyn chuckled as he spat out black blood. "Then show your loved one your secret!"
I closed my eyes, pained by his demand, but I turned to Ignis. I walked up to him and placed my hands on his cheeks. He jumped at my touch, his dull eyes searching for me. "Kat... what're you...please don't fight him..." He held my hands tightly.
"I have to Iggy...I'm sorry..." I took the ring from his hand and kissed his forehead. Using the ambient magic to heal his sight a bit. I put on the ring and backed away from him. I saw his eyes widened to me. I held out my hand to the Crystal.
"Great Crystal of old, grant me the power to protect the ones worth fighting for!" My eyes and crystal glowed a bright purple. I felt like I was on fire from the Crystal's power overflowing my body. I knew the price I had to pay.
My own crystal sunk into my chest as it absorbed the powers of the ring, "CRYSTALLUS UNIFICATION, LIBERATUS!" my body became an orb of light and then cracked to reveal my true guardian form. My now silvery light lavender hair glittered like a crystal. My clothes changed into a slim fit dress that splits near the thighs. I was adorned with light silver armor on my torso, arms and legs. My once dove-like wings were replaced by crystal like fae ones. A purple crystal also poked out my forehead. In my hand was the Silver Scepter morphed into a long blade. I also grew a bit taller just about the same height as Ardyn or more.
"Kat..." Ignis said in shock as he reached out to me but a small shield blocked his reach. Soon a whole forcefield was around him.
"don't...at least not right now..." I looked back at him. Tears in my eyes.
"let the duel commence little goddess" Ardyn chuckled as he summoned his whole regalia and sent it towards us, hitting the Crystal's chambers. Soon the whole platform collapsed.
"cheap move...but I can make you pay for all that you did! For Regis! Luna! Everyone that I hold dear to my heart!" Ardyn and I clashed, ancient metal clanging and scraping against each other.
"how sentimental!!! I tried too long ago when my brother cast me out!" Ardyn roared in anger.
"I'm sorry for what Somnus did to you but after your fight with Regis I saw what Bahamut told you! He lies! No God should use what they created to help Eos! Not in this way! The Scourge will still live on, one way or another!" I struggled with Ardyn and his many power ups. "I may not be the friend you once knew! But I'll try my hardest to finish what Layanna started! No matter how long it takes!"
Ardyn growled, "you dare not speak her name! You're nothing like her! She didn't even help Aera!"
"Then I'll show you what I can do!" I raised my sword as it turned into a bow and took aim. A light arrow drew back in my weapon. A magic circle formed in front of me. A tear fell.
{Crystal Arcana}
"I'll make you see the truth! Even if it means sacrificing myself! THAT I PROMISE!!!" I let loose my arrow through the magic circle as it struck Ardyn in the chest, but not into his heart but his friendship crystal, corrupted by malus. The arrow tip soon trapped Ardyn in a crystal cocoon. I floated down and ran back to Ignis and pulled off rubble, his bubble still intact.
I smiled at him and powered down, my clothes torn and mangled from my transformation. My hair and eyes stayed the same. The ring did a number on my left arm as I took it off. I collapsed from exhaustion as the shield went down. Ignis caught me and held me close.
"why did you...you idiot..." Ignis cried, his tears falling onto my face. I placed my mangled hand on his cheek.
I winced, knowing my crystal was probably cracked. "because you always fought for me...it was my turn to fight for you. I couldn't let him or the ring kill you." I took a deep breath and found my words. "I love you..."
Ignis' eyes brightened at my words. He smiled and held my hand closer to this cheek, "I love you too" we soon closed the gap between us and shared a gentle kiss. Soon my crystal embedded in my chest began to glow and spark. The crystal around his neck also glowed. Our love made a healing aura around us. Then I saw who else was healing us. Noctis and the others found us and he found the ring I took off. The aura healed my crystal enough to where I could heal Ignis' sight.
"You think we'll be hearing their wedding bells after all?" Gladio quipped.
Noctis chuckled, "well mine never rang, but I'll be happy to see theirs"
"so what're we gonna do about the crystalized psycho over here?" Flash gestures to Ardyn asleep in the crystal.
I got up with Ignis and smiled, "taking him back to our kingdom. I never break my promise." I turned to Noctis "Noctis, it's best if you know the truth of your family..."
"so no one's gonna tell me why she's a goddess?!" Prompto yelled.
We all laughed and made our way to a summoning circle. I placed a hand on the cocoon and held Ignis' hand "in due time...first I need a cinnamon roll"

The Art of Seduction [WIP]
Noctis Lucis Caelum x OC x Ignis Scientia
"Do it. Deny me."
Ignis knew where this was leading and their exchange had left him harder than he ever thought possible.
"I don't want you." She whimpered through her lie, her small body trembling against his lean, muscular one.
He snarled and with unfathomable speed he had her pinned against the wall, her wrists trapped behind her back.

Slowly getting back on the art train. I needed to let myself draw Iggy with one of my OCs because there’s no way they didn’t meet hunters along the way.
Ignis and Milenia, probably fighting something big. I’ll get to coloring it in a little while ☺️

Hello again here's another story for you BUT a different ship this time! This one is still the same character, Kat, but a cute pair with Ignis called KATNIS (no hunger games here lol) (this ship is somewhat in a different canon pertaining to the KARDYN one I made before)
I hope you guys love it and maybe I might do some different ones or take requests.
WARNINGS: in-game sequences/spoilers (for Brotherhood and Main story line and maybe the book)
Rated: Fluffy cotton candy
Ship: Kat × Ignis (KATNIS)
Inspired by the song "That's how you know" from Enchanted ;3
★★★★★★★★★★
How do I know?
{Kat's POV}
It's been a few years since the skies became blue again. I was preparing dinner in the lovely home I share with my family after deciding to live a normal life. The door opened to our wonderful daughter. She came up to the counter, still in her high school uniform, and sat in front of me.
"Mother I have a question..." she spoke up from her quiet demeanor.
"Yes, Lillian, what is your question?" I looked up at her as I was cooking.
"How did you and dad meet? How did you know you loved him?" she pouted shyly as she fiddled with some Valentine's Day chocolate she must've gotten from school.
"Well... we knew each other through my ties of being royalty and your uncle Noctis and I having a sweet tooth" I chuckled.
"You knew dad even before the whole world-saving thing?" she perked up.
"I did, we were both pretty young and around the same age. Your Aunt Flash and I transferred to Noctis' high school for a year to get a feel of Insomnia before the war got worse."
"How did that turn out?" Lillian leaned forward.
I chuckled and smiled. I fiddled with my wedding ring and looked at her, "It was fun, but one memory sticks out more than the others."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a sunny day in Insomnia, I was walking the halls of the castle after working with the King. I used my healing powers on him to ease his pains but my powers couldn't heal the damage already done. I was already off for school, so my sister, Prompto, and Noctis can wait for me at Noct's apartment. I soon ran into Ignis after an important meeting he was taking for Noctis.
"Oh! Excuse me, sorry Ignis, I'm a little drained right now." I apologized.
"It's quite alright your majesty" He chuckled lightly.
"I told you, you can call me by my nickname Ignis, It's Kat when not around important stuff like meetings and gatherings" I pouted a bit.
"Right, of course, Kat" he smiled, " Need a ride out to Noctis' apartment? I'm sure they're waiting for you."
I gladly nodded and we headed to the car park. We drove along the twilight-kissed roads until we parked at the apartment garage. We took the elevator up to the room. As we walked up to the door. I could hear my sister cursing at a video game as we opened the door. My ears drooped at the sight of Ignis' hard work of cleaning the apartment being trashed by takeout they got and a bottle of soda on the table. We took off our shoes and entered the apartment as Prompto perked up at us walking in.
"Hey, guys it's Ignis and Kat!" he smiled as he munched on his food.
"OI! SIS!!!" Flash spoke up from drinking her soda, "Ya missed a lot of stuff! I got ya your favorite meal! Sorry, it's a little cold!"
I bit my lip a bit, "It's fine..."
"What's going on? You love that meal...Is your crystal acting up?" She chuckled, " or is it because you missed out on Valentine's day chocolate?"
"Maybe I wouldn't have if I was not burdened with healing powers and healing Noct's father to ease his pains!" I raised my voice, "I heal everyone here! Even our own Uncle! I wish I had one day to myself where someone wasn't looking up to me to be healed for the minuscule of things!"
Flash was shocked and so were the boys. I looked at them all and I quickly stormed out the door to the apartment I shared with Flash a few doors down. I threw my bag and blazer on the couch and took off my socks to free my feet. Tears stinging my eyes I got to look at my phone. There were a few messages from my other sisters back home wishing me a happy valentine's day. Then a new message popped up after a few minutes after I was scrolling through social media.
[ Ignis: Mind if I visit for a spell? Your sister has become quite brash with her...unfortunate hot-headed nature]
I chuckled and messaged him back.
[Kat: Of course Ignis, the door is open]
That's when I heard a knock on the door not a few minutes later. I jolted up and raced to the door. I opened it to find Ignis standing there with a somber smile. I invited him in and we sat at the table.
"Sorry about raising my voice and running off like that Ignis..." I apologized, "that wasn't very lady-like of me..."
"Iggy..." He smiled.
"huh?"
"Call me Iggy when we're not in important situations...you said it yourself. And I also understand your pain, it's hard living a normal life when people look up to you for guidance or protection. So do the others." He reached his hand across the table and held my hands.
I blushed softly then smiled, "Thanks, Iggy..."
"Now since you didn't eat your meal, mind if I cook you something in return?" He offered.
"Of course! I'll also bake dessert for us." I added.
"You like to bake desserts?" he smiled in a questioning tone.
"Yep! I'm a real sweet tooth, and I'll teach you how to make a sweet treat from my homeland!" I grinned as I gathered ingredients.
"Teach me then" He smiled as he cooked.
After we ate, we ate the cinnamon rolls with a special homemade icing. We sat together on the couch and I showed him the drawings I'd done during my time here. I flipped to the last page of my sketchbook as he looked over my shoulder.
"Mind drawing something you love while I do the dishes? I'd love to see it afterward" He chuckled as he stood up.
I nodded as he walked to the sink to wash the dishes. I started sketching then my eyes fell on his face. My thoughts slowly molded the drawing into one of my favorite masterpieces. It was a portrait of him and I made a smile and looked outside to the stars.
I think I might know now who's right for me.
The one I love the most.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"....and during our trip with Noctis, we grew closer in our relationship and after the skies came back we were blessed with you, our little flower." I smiled.
"Wow...I'm glad you two are together, I'm glad to have parents like you" Lillian smiled and looked down at the half-eaten chocolate.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way" A velvety voice from the entryway.
"Dad!" Lillian smiled and ran to help him with his things. He held a small box as he made his way to the table for dinner.
"What do you have there dear?" I chuckled as I brought the food to the set table.
" A little something dear to your culture" He smiled and opened the box to reveal cinnamon rolls with special icing.
"Mom what do these sweets mean in your culture?" Lillian spoke up.
"These cinnamon rolls are a symbol of sincerity and warmth in one's heart. A symbol of love and endearment and given to loved ones on a cold snowy day." I smiled.
"So you said 'I love you' to dad before he even noticed?" she tilted her head.
"Oh, you told her THAT story hm?" Ignis chuckled as he wrapped his hand around his waist.
I chuckled, "Hehe, yes, It was the day I knew you were a keeper, but when you lost your eyesight saving me from Ardyn was the moment I truly loved you and never want to let you go." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Then let's celebrate, one for the occasion of our love and for granting me my sight back, love." Ignis and I sat down, "and to the miracle, you brought to the world" He pats Lillian's head.
We ate our dinner and I looked out to the stars again. I smiled as I shed a small tear, thinking of all the memories of our journey up until now. All the love we shared and the trials and tribulations.
That's How I know
I knew that he was the one.

Pairing:Billy Russo x Ignis Redwood (OFC)
"Just for clarity, you want me to break into his mind, on my own to put this in his head. I am sorry but that is suicide. Even if he isn't trained I would have to put him three layers under to even buy myself enough time to get what you want from him."
"He trusts you."
"Not to that extent."
"Then work on that. We don't pay you just to fuck him."

Gladio: Sora is just like Prompto.
Ignis: That he is. And a little like Noctis.
Noctis: I wish he knew better then to run off with out a word.
Ignis: I could tell you both gave that to him.
Noctis: I-No arguing with you is worse.
Ignis: Indeed. Vanitas.
Vanitas: *Fear activate* Yes?
Ignis: Watch your language.
Vanitas: Yes sir.
