I've seen a post on redshit saying deghinsea was racist and I don't understand how people even came to that conclusion. The fandom isn't ready to Tellius remakes

If it's about the branded issue, Deghinsea received a very crappy hand to deal with - and we sure as hell don't see what happens or how the Branded are dealt with in Hatari, save for a meaningless "kumbaya" because the Tellius verse completely falls on its head with this question -

Tellius is all about discriminations and how stupid it is - only to, uh, biologically, tell you one race is "superior" to the other because the other "dies" when both races mix to make a baby.

Ergo, if beorcs and laguz "coexist" peacefully and make tons of babies, the laguz will cease to exist - because each time a branded is born (or even just conceived?) the laguz parent ceases to be a laguz.

In a context of racial tensions (Tellius isn't very clear on the details, but there used to be a war where laguz enslaved beorcs, then beorcs enslave laguz?) revealing this to the public meant ultimately yes, Laguz were going to go extinct unless they got rid of beorcs.

In a way, I find it very different from the manakete - dragon stone - problem, because Manaketes still can access to their power through a device, but they are still manaketes. In the Archanea verse at least (but it's suggested even in Elibe?) the dragon parent doesn't lose their power, even if they have a dragon stone, when they hold hands with a human to make a baby, Nah exists, the Nini siblings exist (and iirc it's implied their mom was a dragon when she went "missing"?) etc etc.

But in Tellius?

Lehran wanted to kill himself because he wasn't a "laguz" anymore, he can't sing, he can't hear the voice of the Goddess, he can't transform - he is not a laguz anymore, but he isn't a beorc either.

In an era where people genuinely thought Claude "killed the CEO of racism" and don't even want to think more than 12 seconds about the Nabateans and what revealing the truth about them may create as a result (it's a egg hunt, but this time, humans are hunting chocolate eggs for easter, they hunt living beings to vivisect them to create more shiny weapons or magic milkshakes to gain a longer life and superpowers), Tellius remakes and the kind of themes and discussion brought by this duology are completely inaudible.

(and especially since Tellius's main lead doesn't give a fuck about the world or the consequences of his and the general party's actions as he fucks off to another continent with his besties, letting everyone else piece back and rebuild the continent)

What was Deghinsea supposed to do? Reveal to Laguz that yes, coexistence is impossible because they are bound to disappear if they coexist too much with Beorcs? How would the Laguz react? Lash out against Beorcs and exterminate them to make sure the Laguz, as a race, will continue to exist? And how would the Beorc react? Feel even more superior because whatever happens the "punished" parent for branded unions will forever be the Laguz and not the Beorc, and thus will start to call Laguz "subhumans" even more recently than they do in canon?

What was the solution? His lie sure led branded to be shunned and outright despised - but let's be real, if he revealed the truth, wouldn't branded still be despised by Laguz, who would see them as symbols and reasons why "their race" loses to Beorcs ?

I've seen some fics try to dance around the question by saying, more or less, Laguz are seen as giving their powers to the baby and it's a gesture of affection - but still, why should the Laguz be the only to "pass on" something to the baby when the Beorc can just, you know, get said baby without "losing"/"passing on" anything ?

I really don't know what IS was thinking when they made this "rule" - especially coupled with Yune's insane "teehee it was never intended it just happened like that!" that made Stefan weep, at Deghinshea's lie, of course, but in general, at the entire "Branded issue" ; ffs the Goddess (or one half of the goddess) said Laguz and Beorcs cannot coexists, and it wasn't something that was planned, it just happens.

I honestly consider this message "race A is superior to race B because race B ceases to exist if it breeds too much with race A" as bad as Fodlan's "imperialism good akshually" and honestly don't know why IS went through this route.

To add more drama maybe, but damn if this is a stinky message to have in a series about acceptance and coexistence - especially coming after Elibe and the heavily implied (as of FE7) dragon hybrid hero (of FE6).

well the blog thing is most likely that some people have set it to not be visible outside the tumblr dashboard; some people just don’t want their blog viewable to anyone outside of tumblr and there’s a number of reasons why that could be, it’s their own personal decision

the submission/ask box thing can sometimes be a case i know of new users forgetting to turn it on, but sometimes too its deliberately turned off (or limited, like anons being turned off and only other users can ask qs) for, again, a number of different reasons (︶︿︶)

You know when a kid likes to run off because they've seen something that makes them happy? I've tried looking into it for myself, but I've got some developmental/learning disabilities which makes it harder and all of the stuff I've found online is super contradictory, and it's confusing the hell out of me lol. This is one of those questions that has two answers: a complicated, historically complex, highly debated, universally controversial answer, and a deceptively short and sweet answer. As is anything related to queer terminology lol. I am by no means an expert on the historical usage of the term butch, nor is my say the end all be all. I highly recommend reading anything by Leslie Feinberg on the subject, especially Stone Butch Blues. I encourage you to continue to ask questions and do your own research.

That being said: the simple answer? Butch means queer masculinity. More complicated answer: It can be a gender modifier, (i.e "butch bear" refers to a queerly masculine presenting hairy fat gay man.) it can be a gender identity ("xe is one of those butches"), it can be a gender descriptor ("she's so butch"). Butch can look and act like anything. It's got the same nebulous, hard to pin down/put into words feeling as "femme" or like trying to explain "campy" to a cishet. But it's most commonly recognized across the modern and historical queer community as a person who (regardless of gender identity/sex assigned at birth) presents traditionally masculine but queer/exaggerated, (short hair, bigger muscles, button ups, leather boots, leather accessories, wielding power tools, etc.) And behaves/has personality traits that align with traditional masculinity but in a queer way (ex. a stereotypical focus on helping others/"providing", stereotypically the "giver" or "top" in a sexual sense). Butch is a satirization of masculinity, a loving nod to masculinity. It is masculinity that has been examined with a microscope, or thrown on like a costume. (Femme) drag queens imitate, exaggerate, and revel in queer femininity as a form of self-expression, protest, and reclamation, (butch) drag kings do the same to queer masculinity. It's not a term exclusive to lesbians/dykes, but it does have a huge part in dyke/lesbian culture/history. It's a fascinating subject to dive into the history of.

Red Dead Modern AU: Synth Edition!

Sorry it took me so long to get it out there but it's here now and I love what I've made up so far >:D

They live out in the country first of all. Let's just say the town is Valentine (cuz I like the name). Dutch Hosea and Susan all co-own a big two story house (similar to the shady belle one but smaller and better kept together) and they own a decent plot of land where there's a handful of mobile home style smaller houses that the rest of the gang live in (some have tents and cars and stuff like that too) They also have cows and horses on their land too. There's and old run down church not far from the camp that's near a creek so they had a stock hold of stuff there (Reverend chills there too cuz I said so).

Now to get into the individual peeps.

So the town of Valentine is pretty far out there so they don't have a fully functioning police system, Dutch offers his men to help with standard stuff and to still have crime control without having to call out an actual squad of police (kind of like in Rhodes with the Grays) Colm Odriscoll also has a couple of his men in the basically volunteer police department so there's some rivalry there. The real rivalry started with a bar fight in the 90s between Colm and Dutch that ended with Annabel and Colm's brother both dying (they "took it outside" into the woofs so there were no witnesses besides them and Hosea) Basically they were both like "I won't turn you in if you don't turn me in" so it was a stalemate. Colm ODriscoll owns one of those all boys reform school ranches that turn out to be abusive, that's where Kieran works as a stable hand of course (Colm has his gang of people aside from the school). So basically Ducth has somewhat control over this town plus a rivalry with Colm. He's still a little crazy so he basically how they get Kieran to join there side is threatening him with incriminating evidence agaist him (dutch knows the reform school is bad so he's like "Hey kieran ur gonna get arrested big time cuz u work there even tho you didn't do anything we have this fake evidence agaist you so join us instead) so now he just is a stable hand at a different place. Now as I mentioned Strauss is the most tech savvy of them all (surprising ik) because he basically scams people online. So strauss is usually on the family computer which is just a clunky 2000s pc Hosea bought cuz he wanted to be cool and impress the kids. How they met John is that he was about to get dragged away by some police officer cuz he didn't have a guardian around or something but Dutch ran up to him like "That's where you are! Moms worried sick. Don't you ever run away again r- uuuuh *looks to Hoseas* rrrip...Van Winkle! Let's get you home, thank you officer." And the rest was history ig

Arthur: helps mostly on the farm with the cows and stuff (cowpoke lol), owns a really beat up truck (John crashed it)

Dutch: no license lol, manages money for the farm, selling etc., is a conspiracy theorist he has one of those red string boards, probably stays up all night looking at his phone (facebook), tries to be "hip" but fails miserably, infinite amount of Hawaiian shirts where dies he keep getting these-

Hosea: used to own a motorcycle, crashed it unfortunately, shoplifts because he thinks it's funny, is actually cool unlike Dutch, has a garden.

John: dropped out of highschool rip, ran away 100 times as a kid but always called when he was like somehow 15 miles away like "mom come pick me up I'm scared", duct tapes whatever is broken no matter what it is. Works with cows on the farm but usually let's arthur do the actual work

Tilly: most put together of the main family. Student teacher at the school, likes hunting and has deer antlers in her room, helps mostly with the horses on the farm.

Charles: national park ranger (works at the nearest one even though it's still a 2 hours drive or something like that so he wakes up really early), has a blog about nature and park rangers stuff.

MaryBeth: has a book club (they meet in the cafe every Friday 3 pm), fanfic writer, would have a pretty huge following

Pearson: owns a cafe (saves a table area for Mary beth on fridays), has a huge postcard collection, watches cooking TV shows religiously lol

Susan: facebook gossip (has one of those old lady groups), principal at the school, cigarette mom

Sadie: Works for animal control, owns a cabin with Jake

Kieran: loves bass pro, works as a stable hand, plays those stupid horse care mobile games, has a yt channel (centered around horses)

MaryBeth: has a book club (they meet in the cafe every Friday 3 pm), fanfic writer, would have a pretty huge following

Susan: facebook gossip (has one of those old lady groups), principal at the school, cigarette mom

Last week had a meeting with someone who is not my boss but who I've been voluntold to help with website design BC I'm young and apparently that means ik what I'm doing (which, to be fair, this is very basic uxd with Squarespace, I CAN do that). Said person was like "oh don't be afraid to give feedback I'm not the kind of person to get all upset and offended"

Me, yesterday: sends feedback, which mind you is hard to do without visuals but I'm a good little grunt and do what I'm told, and I described the integration of hyperlinks as "clunky and unprofessional", in the sense that most modern site design would try to integrate them more seamlessly and it is this unprofessional by current design standards. I also prefaced this with a "I might suggest...." and a "to me, this feels".

This morning. Said person doesn't come to talk to me like the adults we all are, but apparently is so upset that they go to my BOSS and complain(which tbh IS unprofessional). At which point my boss sits me down to talk and tries to be like 'oh some people interpret things in a different light', (no really? I'm a fuckin idiot and don't understand how communication works), shes like 'i didn't read it that way, but PERSON was upset, try to phrase it differently in the future' and she did it in such a way that she managed to once again talk down to me like I'm unaware of the existence of office politics, while also bright red and uncomfortable as if I were to burst into tears and get offended that someone complained about my feedback

Like??? Yeah fragile teen me might've cried. But this is just. So fuckin stupid???? That I can do nothing but shrug it off with a handwave and give my best fake smile and promise to be more politic?? ngl i really liked dune part 2 (part 1 as well when it came out) ... i didnt like the book when i tried it and i dnf at like 2/3rds, i wasnt liking the writing style at all plus there was a scene at the end of the second act i think that was the last straw and made me go yeah no fuck this and abandon the book forever

the book really has some things that are Problematique not in a fun god forbid women do anything way but just plain mysogyny that was kind of annoying glossing over for the whole book (yes ik the book is decades old and written by a man and thats just how it was at the time, its still annoying to read in 2024. usually these things dont bother me with ye olde literature, i've read stuff thst was way worse and enjoyed it, but this one idk. maybe bc it's about scifi instead of medioeval peasants? or not that old? no idea)

but i really liked the movies, first of all the scenography was fucking phenomenal and a joy to watch, and secondly they "modernized" the story and the characters in a way that i 100% agree with, basically the movies dont have most of the elements that annoyed me about the book but arent sanitized and made all perfect, it is a book about colonialism and oppression after all and a galactic empire with really fucked up morals and all that stuff, paul and jessica are still ppl who make horrible mistakes and turn into evil motherfuckers basically and in the movies they not only preserved thst but leaned even more into it. i guess the only thing i dont like still is how cartoonishingly evil the harkonnens are portrayed like a caricature of a villain instead of actual ppl... like their only (1) trait is being evil. and looking evil. and killing people for no reason and eating them and being bald and ugly and/or fat or whatever bc you just KNOW when ppl look like that they are soooo evil. aside from that one hot dude for some reason. anyway

Ikeshot. Let’s talk abt them.

Since you didn’t really specify what topic you want me to go over abt them i’ll just give you my general thoughts in regards to them and just specific general details i like to consistently characterize them when thinking of au’s and such.

Firstly abt Hotshot. He’s Korean-American in my opinion. There wasn’t really any specific actor that inspired this hc (not even the korean newsies cast, i don’t really know that cast that well) but i feel it fits him perfectly. He was born in Korea to Korean parents and then moved to the states for both canon and modern era (i hv no clue if there were any Korean immigrants in New York in the time where newsies take place and no i hv no interest in finding out whether that’s historically accurate<3). I like to think he’s the youngest. He has 12 older sisters. Idk it just feels fitting to me. His actual name is Park Ryung-Gu and i’m following the usual Korean naming rule so Park is his family name and his given name is Ryung-Gu (idk how to explain how to properly pronounce it other than like saying ‘young’ but with an R at the front followed by ‘goo’. Also i’m not very adversed with Korean naming and culture in general so there might be a few errors i make despite alr doing some light research. Srsly i ended up watching a kdrama compilation just to find out how to pronounce that name If anyone reading this can correct me then feel free to drop an ask).

Seeing that he had lived his majority of his childhood in the states, he’s considered the most fluent english speaker in his family. He likes helping his mother cook especially when she’s making kimchi. Man loves kimchi and can live off of eating that one single dish for his entire lifetime. He likes tiny hamsters but also big dogs. He actually likes a lot of k pop but can’t dance to save his life. Also one of his fav k pop boy band back when he was younger made him question his sexuality. His main sport is basketball but he come from swimming parents so it’s important that he knows how to swim well, thus he was able to reach the six foot mark by the time he reaches sophomore high school and ended up growing to 6’6. He’s good friends with Spot and Albert (i hc albert moving to Brooklyn at around age 10 before moving back to Manhattan for middle school so). He’s usually the more reserved calm and collected friend and dare I say the tired friend. Not to be confused as the mom friend bcs that’s Spot. Anyways. In some au’s Hotshot to me is a pharmacist or a beauty chemist. Whatever it is, he majored in a chemistry field for college bcs he’s best at chem class back in high school. It just clicks to him for some reason compared to other subjects like biology or economics.

Ok now for Ike. He’s younger than Mike by like 13 minites and Mike holds that over him bcs older brother duty™️. However Ike is taller than Mikd by like 1.5 inches which he holds over him bcs younger brother duty™️. Pretty sure it’s alr widely known that their names are Michael and Issac so yeah i stand by that fanon but i personally think their last name is Alvarez. In some au’s i hc them hving a little sister a year younger than them while other times i don’t. They are Cuban-American. Their parents along with their siblings are Cuban immigrants and gave birth to the twins in America. Ike is autistic while Mike is neurotypical. Throughout his childhood, Ike struggles a lot with sound and touch and regulating his emotions in general but he was mostly non verbal in his earlier years. The only other person he talked to back then was Mike up until like when he’s 8 or so was when he started getting better at his speech. Their mother in short isn’t the best person to be a mother. Safe to say it was for the best that their parents divorced when they were ten.

Ike was considerably the more reserved one between him and Mike but that doesn’t mean he’s not considered a troublemaker bcs in reality he still is. Despite still being able to joke around, he’s quite uptight. When he’s trying to regulate his anger he usually turns to boxing which is smth his father taught him back when he found out the twins were being bullied in elementary school. It serves as a great sport but also a great outlet to let out his anger. He’d punch a punching bag or ask Mike to spar with him. He’d dare to say that without boxing he might still not know how to regulate his anger in his adult years. However he’d say his main sport was soccer since that’s what he played in school teams. That does turn Ike to be a bit feisty, especially when he’s being disrespected. He doesn’t always go for the first punch, only as an act of self defense. Anyways, i hc him majoring in some sort of engineering field. Like he’d get a phd to research environmental engineering (renewable energy and all that stuff). He loves to learn actually and has an interest in technology + environment. He also loves cats. He has a brown cat named bear.

Now how did they ended up together you may ask? They met as a friend of a friend of a friend. Sorta. So while obtaining their bachelors degree, Ike has had bad luck with relationships. All the guys he’s ever liked are… terrible to say the least. He swears off dating until he gets his bachelors. Around his senior year, his good friend racetrack higgins just so happen to have a boyfriend from brooklyn named Spot who was also good friends with Race’s best friends and also Ike’s good friend named Albert. Spot and Albert also had a friend named Hotshot. One night when they were all going out to celebrate them nearly graduating, Ike and Hotshot met for the first time. Ike wld be lying if he said he didn’t find Hotshot to be attractive and Hotshot can’t deny he thought Ike was cute. However nothing happened and they only ever met every now and them in a big friend group setting. And ike was true to himself when he says he’ll put a hold on dating until he gets his bachelors (talk abt academic validation lolz definitely not self projecting here) in the middle of them obtaining their master’s degree, things start to escalate between them. They actually started seeing each other on their own and hv a fun time. When they finally gotten around to a confession (after being pushed by their friends to do it ofc) they started going out and took things slow to see where this was heading. As it turns out, they were a perfect match and ended up becoming more confident and srs with each other.

Hotshot and Ike are both reserved in their nature. Mostly calm and collected but can last in a fight if provoked. They’re not the most sociable person and it takes awhile for them to come out of their shell. So meeting and being comfortable with each other was great. Ike likes that despite the strength Hotshot displays, he is still kind and gentle to others. He’s very caring and sensitive. He gives Ike a sense of peace and security. He also gives the best hugs. Hotshot adores Ike for how careful he is at everything and how supportive he is. Ike is loyal and kinder than he lets himself believe. Ike always tries to better bcs he never really thought he was very great at displaying his affection when really Hotshot feels plenty loved by him. He loves how smart he is and how fun he can be when he’s comfortable but will also defend him till the end when he’s being wronged. He gives Hotshot a sense of comfort and warmth. He’s also feisty which is smth Hotshot finds to be quite cute in an affectionate way.

like do mermaids have magic like the witches on the surface?? alchemists??? mermaid!reader being either of the above but being really good at what they do. so imagine all the unknowns of the surface and alhaitham being the one opening they have to explore it

i'm loving this idea that reader and alhaitham engage in a battle of wits all the time (or annoying each other) and that's a huge part of their dynamic.

(also as a side note. would something like mermaid scales be worth a lot on the surface? the lore seems to suggest that intelligent beings aligned with an element are often physically imbued with a lot of elemental energy? possibly sells good for alchemy, magic, medicine, etc depending on how you see it? just a food for thought :) )

okay so in the mermaid au, I hc that most mermaids are of the classic drowning/luring humans to death kind. I mentioned offhandedly in pt2 that some were interested in the human world though! and of course each mermaid would have their own opinions on humans, which can change depending on their own experiences. ex: the current mermaid!reader and whatever they've got going on atm is mostly due to alhthm having soundproof earpieces + the fact that he knows their kind-of-forgotten (to humans) language. I'd say mermaid!reader would also have to have at least a little innate curiosity and interest to the human world in order to agree to the deal. ugh I kind of wish I made this series into full fics so I could've expanded on this more (๑′̥̥̥▵‵̥̥̥ ૂ๑) but if not for the circumstances, mermaid!reader would've been more like the one in this ask

I did think about a sea witch, but it was irrelevant to the current storyline so... LOL anyways. it wasn't going to be like a ursula-type sea witch but more along the lines of hexenzirkel/lisa/signora. since their tails become legs when completely dry, it's very possible to go on land to study human alchemy and stuff, but otherwise they don't have any special magic other than their very alluring siren song. oh! but they are immune to hydro, like hydro slimes (but hotter) ₍ᐢ. ̫.ᐢ₎

this isn't set in stone for this au but, mermaids originate from the dark sea (ik it isn't actually a sea, but it's technically anywhere outside the rule of The Seven, so let's just assume there are also oceans). they're an ancient race that existed alongside the seelie, and after witnessing the destruction of the entire race because of the one human/seelie marriage, that's when they started drowning humans just in case. and then it just continued on for forever.

ok I've been thinking about this next part a lot haha. yes! their scales can be used in alchemy (another reason to drown humans ig lmao) but since mermaid scales are rare and hard to come by as it is + they haven't been seen in so long, most modern alchemists just don't know about it. also I wanted to incorporate irl lore from some folktales that say mermaids grant wishes. so some humans believe that based on old legends but I haven't decided yet if they actually can or what the criteria would be if they could.

honestly i have half a mind to make a spinoff(?) series afterwards maybe that has more plot and lore and angst, since rn I'm currently just building their relationship(??) but I'm glad you enjoy their dynamic because I love writing banter, it's one of the easiest things for me to write !

Rant about MtG power creep below. Be ye warned: not exactly the most coherent, consistent, or logical ramble.

Long-term prediction: Wizards is about to ramp up the power creep in standard sets even harder than usual in the next year or two, with regards to the eternal-playable cards - primarily the ones slated for Commander. And they��ve been planning this one for a while.

Between the adventure instants and sorceries, and just the regular cards, Wilds of Eldraine featured objectively better versions of a lot of pretty mundane stuff; Plunge into Winter > Pressure Point, Quick Study > Divination, Candy Grapple > Last Gasp, etc. Nothing to bat an eye at in a vacuum, except for mayyyybe Expel the Interlopers > Fell the Mighty. But viewed all together, I’m wondering whether they’re a portent of things to come. Most of the creep that comes to my mind when I think of the term has been at least sidegrades in one or two aspects - cost, spell speed, whatever. But I feel these objectively better versions of admittedly mediocre cards represent darker implications.

Speculation: If down the road Wizards uses standard sets to more aggressively creep on widely played stuff, long time commander bombs and such, and catches flak for it, they’re gonna fall back on something sounding like “Well, we’ve been focusing on rolling out more powerful versions of preexisting cards for a while now, and they’ve largely been pretty well-received!” Even if nobody buys that, they’ve now got a fresh argument apart from “Something something, two years before the set.” And worst comes to worst, they always have the latter as a fallback.

Addendum: And if anything like this ever happened - and it’s something of a long shot trust me ik - it would boggle my mind to wonder why! I mean, I’m pretty sure that every single mtg product - including standard product - is already targeted at selling more powerful cards to commander players, at least in part. Even “Modern” Horizons…C’mon, we both know that not all of those cards are geared for modern. So why power creep preexisting staples using a standard set? (I mean, ik it’s the dollary-doos but still)

I know, it sounds crazy, and feel free to disagree - again, I recognize how out-of-pocket this sounds. But I cannot help but feel like there’s some writing on the wall here!

the girl <3 kinda surprised that alm and celica aren't sharing a ring if she and ephraim are? maybe bc they wanted to make celica a magic-based ring and that doesn't suit alm? but then again why not have chrom and lucina share? strangeness all around, maybe it was gonna be an exclusive concept for the twins and then they decided to keep using it for dlc

overall i feel like micaiah is working this look the best. where are ike's muscles. they stole them. the poor man is sickly now

also rosado's design has been one of my favorites and if it turns out their relatively practical armor is due to being a "feminine dude" character then i would not be surprised. rn seems like it's a tossup what their gender is so let's hope whatever it is it's at least done reasonably respectfully. forrest wasn't bad after all. and zelkov brings a return of the fates/awakening era Dark Gray Skin which is a shame. at least the rest of the darker skinned characters look okay

citrinne is definitely the maribelle/l'arachel/constance style character...hopefully she's good. some of the other characters revealed in this bunch also look more up my alley personality/design wise than the initial batches (although citrinne's sleeves are. a sin) so that's something. though in general the designs are...whack tbh

also there are so many cravats in the male character designs?? what is up with that

we finally got to see more of the style savvy dress up mechanics and i'm really glad that maybe i can switch off some of the worst outfits, especially the alears. seriously every alt outfit looks better than what the defaults have going on haha

but while overall i'm not really interested in most gimmicky side stuff a la fates and 3hopes, i do really like accessories and dressup options so happy for those. if i have to do a few rhythm games to get them then that's a fair tradeoff....

overall i'm surprised by the amount of really "modern" looking touches. lamps, glasses, sweatpants...fates had a couple accessories like that but nothing quite on this scale? i wonder if that's just lousy art/design direction or a deliberate choice for some plot reason?

anyway these are my favorites revealed so far although ofc will have to get to know characters in game to really know

i think this game could still be really fun, and i'm glad it doesn't seem to be aiming for "oooh what side will you pick" like fates and 3h (technically echoes was in there but overall i'm like...give us a break from the big route splits please). also less politics and drama than 3h which is welcome, i never expect a good story from FE and often when they try to do a "good" story it uh...doesn't land. it's just a shame that i really don't care for the art direction at all, the sameface and the oufits and the overall weirdness of it all :(

also they should add tms rings

Hope ur doing well :) I saw ur post about possibly doing some modern Aegon stuff but I think ur mood board for Aegon is honestly perfect and everything I think of when modern Aegon comes to mind like a frat accounting guy who can be sorta mean but is honestly just lazy and a little sad 😭 I think doing some head cannons for him would be cool but tbh do whatever u want ik it’ll be great no matter what cuz ur a fantastic writer :) have a nice day!

Hi!! Yes I hope to explore more of Aegon. In Academic (Dis)Honor it delves into his problems a bit more but from Aemond’s perspective as a brother who can’t help him.

It’s not that he isn’t capable but to me, at least in my universe, Aegon just suffers with a lot of emotional turmoil and probably some undiagnosed mental illness. He has a lot of self doubt and compares himself to his siblings and the expectations his mother wanted of him.

His tiktok and YouTube account can be annoying for most students on campus but he uses it as a creative outlet. The transformation of his mental well being can be seen through his content as well, which I hope to explore in further headcanons!
