Glass Houses: Jack Thurlow x Y/N One-Shot Series PRT 27

Jack goes back into treatment without fighting Dr. Carty. He suspects he'll be in for a long stay but they decide to only keep him for little under a full month. They felt like too much time in the facility could set him back in the other areas to which he's improved. Once he got back on his medications, his body physically felt different. He felt like he was getting back to a content calmness in his skin again. The stitches had healed over and every time he looked at them he felt mortified thinking about what had happened with Y/n.

Dr. Carty had made mention to him y/n agreeing to let him add her as a contact. He hadn't received any calls or visits from her but he didn't expect to.

"What are you worried about Jack?" Carty pulled him out of his head.

"I guess whether or not I can fix things with Y/n or not. I feel like she's smart enough to know that she doesn't need the additional stress in her life." Jack explained sadly.

"Well then it's best to develop a plan in advance to deal with both outcomes." He informed.

"How?" Jack asked confused.

"Well if she doesn't want to forgive you or doesn't think she can handle you, you need to accept that and find a way to move forward. You can't make people stay Jack. People will come and go but you can't let that destroy you. You have to be okay with being alone." Dr. Carty had a point, as bummed out as it made him.

"I mean I know that on some level I just don't know if I'll bounce back that fast if she writes me off. I might need to like...check back in?" Jack scrunches his face.

"If you ever feel like you can't handle things on your own, you know you can check back in. That doesn't mean this place is forever, you're learning that now." He explained. Jack looked down at his hands.

"Have you thought about what happens if she does forgive you?" Carty asked seeing Jack sit back in his chair.

"I mean...I guess shit can't like go back to normal, can it?" Jack said unsure of what he was going to do in either instance.

"No it can't. The best thing you can do is acknowledge your behavior, not make any promises that it won't happen again because you know this is for life and just try your best to communicate your struggles with her." Jack laughed darkly.

"What woman wouldn't want an absolute headcase?" Jack asked making Dr. Carty sigh.

"Jack, you can't consider yourself less than because you have mental illnesses. If you continue to do that, you will constantly live in a state of self deprecating negativity. Just be yourself. Stop letting these drugs, these diagnoses define who you are." There was a knock at the door and one of the hospital admins came in.

"Mr. Thurlow's ride is here." She said softly. Carty gave her a nod and she exited as he looked Jack over.

"Are you ready?" He asked and Jack nodded.

"I'm ready. Thank you for...everything." Jack shook Carty's hand and he nodded his head.

"Focus on the list of things you wanted to accomplish once you got back home Jack. Don't get distracted." He pressed as Jack walked out of his office. The ride back to the house felt longer than the ride to the hospital but when he enters the house, it feels different. He drops the bag by the steps and looks around, seeing the kitchen has been cleaned up and their is a note on the counter.

"I cleaned up the house so you didn't come home to a bunch of blood and shit. You also had a ton of things dropped on the porch so I moved them to the attic. I got groceries Friday when the Doctor told me you were coming home. I'm working night shift this week so please don't go to the house."

Jack pulled out his phone and sat on the couch for what seemed like two hours trying to figure out what to text her. He finally settled on

Jack: I'm home...thanks for cleaning the house and filling the fridge.

He regretted it the moment he pressed send. She was quick to respond though.

Y/n: No problem.

Her response was simple. He wished she would have given him more to work with.

Jack: Do you think maybe you'll have time to talk sometime this week?

Her response didn't come as quickly as the last. He started smoking a cigarette on the porch and started pacing.

Y/n: Look Jack, if this talk is going to be full of reminders of how fucked you are in the head and how you warned me that I deserve better or whatever self deprecating bullshit..you can save it. What I really deserve is a sincere apology and what the fuck reason you decided to come off your meds. I don't want to have a conversation without real accountability.

Jack read the response and felt like he still had a chance to salvage this. He felt like she was giving him an opportunity to really think about what he was going to say the next time they were together.

Jack: Okay.

His answer was simple and direct. He was listening to what she wanted from him and he wanted to be ready for that conversation once they had it. He owed her all of those things and he wanted to give them to her when she was ready to receive them. Until then, he grabbed something from the fridge and climbed the stairs to his bedroom where a brand new, color-coded pill case sat with a little white bow on it. He smiled to himself before taking the bow off and filling it with his meds.

My Sims4 Gameplay Mods

This is a list of my current Sims4 gameplay mods. I am posting this for anyone who follows my Not So Berry Challenge Let's Play webcomic series on Reddit and is curious.

Up top (in alphabetical order) are modders I have multiple mods from, followed by modders I only have a single mod from.

Adeepindigo

The 4 mods below compliment each other and together provide a full “healthcare experience” for your sims.

Note: her buffs are longer lasting than standard EA buffs and not designed to be ignored. When your sim is sick, injured, etc. as a result of one of her mods it becomes a significant part of gameplay.

Adeepindigo Healthcare Redux ** This is a huge mod that adds illness, injuries, prenatal care, and chronic conditions to the game. Its at the top of my list. I love taking care of my sims and having them take care of each other, and this makes illness and injury meaningful, adding a ton to gameplay.

There is a CC pack that is linked from the download page that you need for the full mod experience.

Adeepindigo GTW Health Overhaul ** If you have Get to Work this is those illnesses reimagined in the style of Healthcare Redux, i.e. rich and meaningful. These illness are contagious which can be interesting in larger families.

*I am not using this at the moment, the illnesses were getting repetitive and not allowing me to see the ones in Healthcare Redux, but its updated and I still think its good so leaving it on.

Adeepindigo & Around the Sims Dental Care Mod ** As the name implies this makes taking care of your Sims teeth a part of gameplay. Your sim will get negative buffs for not brushing and can develop dental issues requiring a trip to the dentist.

There is a CC pack that is linked from the download page that you need for the full mod experience.

Adeepindigo Eye Care ** This mod adds eye care to the game. Your sims may end up needing glasses or developing cataracts.

LittleMsSam

I’ve used her mods for years. She has a ton of mods that do a large variety of things

LittleMsSam Automatic Thermostat ** Lovely little mod that will automatically adjust the thermostat to hotter or colder based on the weather outside.

LittleMsSam Better Familiars This works with Realm of Magic, it adds some more gameplay features to familiars.

LittleMsSam Buy a Better Mattress ** Allows you to upgrade the mattress on any bed in the game. Great if you like the look of a bed that happens to have lower stats

LittleMsSam Improved Yoga Mat

LittleMsSam No Puddles Under Bathtubs From Splashing Toddlers

LittleMsSam Pregnancy Overhaul ** This is a must have for me. I used to use this in conjunction with Mc Command Center (MCCC) to adjust the size of my pregnant sims belly based on number of babies (find out how many with MCCC then add the right variation), now I use the Pregnancy Variations mod for that. However, this still has some other nice features, mainly less restrictions on what pregnant sims can do in the 1st and 2nd trimester.

Lumpinou

Another modder whose stuff I adore. Their mods add so much rich gameplay. I like my gameplay to be dynamic and surprising, their mods allow this. You can set it up so you don’t make every single choice, which I appreciate.

Lumpinou LGBTQIA+ ** I call this mod the “EA Update on Steroids”.

This is a fantastically rich mod that adds a ton of gameplay around sexual orientation and identity.

My favorite part of this mod is the setting you can turn on (off by default) that allows your sims to choose their own orientation and identity when they age up to teen.

Lumpinou Woohoo Wellness ** Another fantastically rich gameplay mod, this one centered around pregnancy, woohoo, and family dynamics.

Lumpinou Mood Pack Mod This isn’t a standalone mod, rather it’s a mod that’s used as part of other mods to give your sims a wider range of emotional states. It is a required add on to some of the other mods listed here. If needed it will be stated on the download page for the mod.

PandaSama

Pandasama Realistic Birth ** With this mod your sims have a realistic birth experience. Right now it only works if you have Get to Work as it supports hospital births only, but Pandasama is working on a home birth update, due out in October. I LOVE this mod.

Ravasheen

Ravasheen ** a fantastic creator with a bunch of small mods that make a big impact. I have too many of them to list out individually but this is the link to her main page which will list them all. Some of my favorites are the Cake a Break BUYABLE Cakes, A Doughable Cupcake Maker which lets you make items only available with that giant cupcake machine without the machine, and the ISO Love Camera which will change the way you think about picture taking in the game.

Simularity

Faster Digital Frames** In a legacy challenge you often end up with a ton of pictures of your sims, way to many to hang on the walls. I love to throw the extras in the digital photo frame from Moschino Stuff but the one sim hour minimum picture change time was way too long. With this mod you can have the photos change as frequently as every 1 sim minute!

Low Hygiene Is Embrarassing I always thought low hygiene being uncomfortable wasn't exactly right. This mod changes the emotion to embarrassed which makes much more sense to me.

ThePancake1 and Mizore Yukii

ThePancake1 and Mizore Yukki Cute Romance More romance options for your sims

ThePancake1 and Mizore Yukki Bed Cuddles ** This is a small mod with a BIG impact. Your couple sims will cuddle in bed together. I cannot express how adorable this is and how happy it makes me.

Twisted Mexi

TwistedMexi Better Exceptions ** When you are someone like me who plays with ALOT of mods this is fantastically helpful. It will help you make sense of exception errors and find broken or duplicate mods/cc in your mods folder.

TwistedMexi TOOL ** This one can seem intimidating at first but after having it in my game I could not live without it. I use it all the time to adjust my sims positions/locations for better screenshots. I highly recommend the tutorial video, here, to get you started

TwistedMexi Smarter Pie Menu ** This allows you to text search all the pie menus in the game, so much easier than digging through submenus to find what you need.

Weerbesu

Weerbesu UI Cheats ** This is a control mod for the game that gives you the ability to control what is happening and fix some of the things that simply don’t make sense.

Weerbesu Longer Parties More Guests ** This is great if you have large families. You can invite many more guests to social events and those events last longer by default (you can still cancel at any time).

Zulf

**The creator of these mods is a non native English speaker so the English translations aren't perfect on the buffs, etc. but I can live with that. It doesn't in my opinion take away from the function of the items in any significant way.

Arcade Room Fanmade Pack

I installed this recently and its so fun! A collection of arcade games for your sims to enjoy, along with some clothing and decoration options. The only downside I found to these is they are all single sim activities. For me that means I only use them with Sims in the same household since I can direct each of them to use the game I want.

Functional Mech Bull From Sims 3

Functional Spring Riders For Children

New Custom Spell This is a collection of custom spells, many coming from Sims 3. I have them all in my game, tried out a couple of them, they work well. Requires Spell Book Injector by r3m

Zulf Tumblr I recommend coming here to look around. You have to go page by page (navigation search doesn’t work) and there’s a TON here but a lot of it is really cool. In some cases there are better descriptions than on their Paetron.

Other Mods

Assign NPC Roles This isn’t one I use often but its great when you want it. Gives you a cheat menu to assign NPC roles to any sim in the game.

Insults and Arguments ** I often have a hard time stepping outside my “happy family” box, but I LOVE this mod. It adds significantly improved options for insults and arguments to the game. No longer do you have to “argue about politics” and pretend you’re arguing about something else.

Karthmanter Pregnancy Variations ** This mod works well with or can replace LittleMsSam’s Pregnancy Overhaul belly variations. Your sim will naturally have a larger belly depending on how many babies they are carrying. This modder is new to modding and so the mod has a more advanced installation step that many may not want to take (I did take this step), but you can try it without that, and it may work.

Kuttoe Just Go To Class ** Great if you have University and like to live on campus, like I do. No longer do your sims get penalized for living on campus by having to walk across the entire campus to get to class. They will walk out of their dorm or the common area and vanish to class the same as if they were attending university from home or going to a job.

Lazarusinashes Storytelling Socials As the name implies this is a large variety of additional social options that will pop up randomly as appropriate and add depth to storytelling.

MC Command Center ** I don’t think I could play the game without this mod. It’s a huge gameplay control mod that does a variety of things, too much to explain here. The website linked has a lot of good FAQs.

Ballroom Dance Mod This mod adds more couples dances to the game. There are a number of different dances and the animations are well done.

MRZ Mary Faster University Graduation ** Another great one if you have University, especially if you like to play on short lifespan.

Given how high in their careers they start I understand why it takes Sims basically the entire Young Adult life stage to complete a degree but if you want to get done in 3 weeks that’s 4 classes per week which is grueling.

I generally like my sims to live on campus, take fewer classes so they have time to enjoy university, get done, purchase a lot, and begin the process of starting a family. I personally use the 6 credits option most often and have them go for 2 weeks vs 3.

R3M Spellbook Injector There are a ton of custom spells out there and many of them require this. It allows those spells to show up in your sims spellbook.

Simmytime No City Living / Island Living Names ** This is possibly a controversial one but it’s one that makes a positive impact on my personal gameplay.

I very much appreciate the innate diversity of the game, but without this mod the vast majority of auto generated sims, regardless of ethnicity, had non-European names I couldn’t pronounce. That was not in line with my personal experience and ultimately broke the immersion for me.

SimplyAnjuta Custom Styled Looks (Basegame!): Thanks to MizoreYukii we now know how to create custom styled looks for your sims! This creator has some nice basic custom looks (including some for elders!) that make it quick and easy to style a sim so they don't look like they got dressed in the dark!

Soulsborne enthusiast Shimrod's Pillow Talk Mod v2 ** Another mod I simply adore. After woohoo your sims will pop up and perform one of a handful of interactions from tickling each other to cuddling and smiling before going to sleep or getting up and going about their day. It makes the woohoo process so much more intimate and lovely.

I was worried it would be broken after the HS Years update but I have it in and have had no problems with any of the new bed interactions and have seen no exceptions fire related to it.

TitanNano Control Any Sim** Just learned about this one but already know its a new “must have”. You can choose under the actions menu to control any sim in the world. They show up just like a sim in your household but maintain their “official” status as their own household for the purposes of CAS, lots, etc. Because of this you can functionally bypass the 8 sim household limit without having to actually increase it throughout the world with a mod like MCCC. It also works great with Turbo’s pose player, which only works for sims you are controlling directly.

Tremerion No Disappearing Relatives in Family Tree Great for legacy players. As the name implies this mod keeps sims from disappearing from your family trees and keeps ghosts around in the save.

Turbodriver Wonderful Whims I have never used the much more popular “Wicked” version of this, but Wonderful now contains something I cannot live without - a super awesome pose player. You can adjust your sims while in pose and go in and out of build/buy freely. Its a game changer, literally. I wish this one was modular because I get the majority of its functionality from Lump’s Woohoo Wellness, but the two mods play well together so its OK.

Custom Content

I primarily use custom content clothing. This is not a complete list but its a list of the creators I like a lot/have multiple pieces from.

I tend to play legacies and mostly dress my sims in casual basics.

If you are going to use Custom Content I highly recommend downloading Sims 4 Studio. You can easily re-tag your items and in my experience they are often tagged wrong.

Ever wonder why that formal dress shows up in swimwear? Its tagged wrong! Here’s a brief how-to on retagging.

AxA Custom Content This is more skewed towards "younger" styles, crop tops and short skirts, but I use their high waisted pants and shirts together on many sims. They are very well made.

Creamlattedream A creator that specializes in male sims - be still my heart! They also design households, mostly teenage boys, and they have a softer look that makes me think of Ralph from "Wreck it Ralph". Very unique.

Rope's Custom Content Their clothing is mixed in among their households and lots. Lots of nice, casual basics with lots of stuff for our poor underappreciated male sims!

SimmieV I follow this creator on The Sims Resource. Another creator that specializes in clothing for males sims. A good mix of basic and fun.

Solistair Lots of nice basics

Sunflower Petals I discovered this creator because of the medical cc she made (wrist, ankle, and knee braces). She primarily makes jewelry and makeup cc.

Pose Packs

I prefer to take my screenshots from actual in-game animations but sometimes I will use pose packs to capture a mood or situation that EA or my mods simply don't make available. I try to stay away from fully pose pack based storylines but I have relied on them on occasion, most notably the tattoo parlor storylines.

FAQ:

How to Request?

Just send me an ask on this blog detailing what you what like! It's that simple. Include as little or as much info as you would like. The more specific you are, the more likely you are to get exactly what you want. But vague requests aren't necessarily a problem. And anon asks ARE turned on, so don't feel shy!

What Can You Request?

What Info Should I Include In My Request?

The following are extra pieces info you could include in your request to make it easier on me:

What size to make a wallpaper. This can be exact measurements or if you have an image that is the right size than feel to send that to me as well. (I'm not sure if you can send media through requests, but if not then feel free to dm this blog. If you want to remain anonymous on the request then i won't share your blog)

If the character you are requesting has multiple outfits, specify which ones you do/don't want. If you don't specify, i'll usually just use a mix.

What icon/edit i've done in the past do you want me to base it on? This isn't required, but if you want a guarantee that it will turn out a certain way then feel free to give the link to a specific thing i've done in the past. If nothing is specified i'll do what i usually do: whatever i want. Which i like to think usually doesn't turn out bad but it does mean you get a certain level of unpredictability when it comes to the little details.

What pride flag to use if there are multiple version.(ex. The sunset aroace flag vs both the aro and ace flags)

What Happens If I Don't Like How My Request Turns Out?

Simply let me know! Send another ask politely letting me know what I did wrong and i'll fix it!

When Do Requests Close?

Requests will close whenever i am busy/overwhelmed with my life. I will also probably close requests once i reach a certain amount so that i can catch up before getting new ones. Remember that i am a real person and have others things to do than just run this blog.

How Long Will My Request Take?

Depends on how interested i am in it. I will try to get to every request when i can, and the amount of requests i currently have affects that. If it is something I find very fun to work on it will probably get done faster. ;3 Of course after I finish the request It will be thrown in the queue. I sometimes have a backlog of posts but i try to queue requests to pop up within a couple days of me finishing them.

Can I Request More Than Once?

Yep! There is no limit whatsoever on how many requests you can submit. So go wild :)

Do I Have To Credit You?

You never have to directly credit me if you use something i've made, but rebloging it IS appreciated! It's how my work gets spread around to other people. But if you do want to credit me in your bio or whatever because you're using one of my icons i will always appreciate it :) THE EXCEPTION IS MY ICONS/EDITS USING ANOTHER PERSON'S ARTWORK! It is imperative that if another artist has been gracious enough to let me use their work that you properly credit them if using something i've made with it!!! Just a simple "credits to: link to artist" in your bio or pinned post should be enough!

That. But kinda reversed!

Imagine Sick!Ler that tickles their lee because it's helping them feel better to hear laughs and giggles

C! Or cc!: Like if George is sick and Dream is caring for him and let's George tickle him bc how can you push away sick Gogy? Ya can't.

C!: Or Sapnap is exhausted and unwell after hunting for Dream and he flops down on top of Karl or Q and gently tickles them to ease the stress and ache

C! Or CC!: Wilbur "reluctantly" let's sick and clingy Tommy tickle him while swearing and throwing loving insults

C! Or CC!: Foolish is sick and delirious with a fever and tickles Punz because he likes the sound or maybe is hallucinating even and can't quite figure out what or who Punz is and so he keeps kneading and poking.

C!: Skeppy is ill and using it to torment Bad "C'mon! Laughter is the best medicine! Don't you want me to feel better?" And poor Bad unable to escape "SSSKEPPY! That's not what that means! It means YOUR Laughter!" As he's in hysterics but Skeppy ignores him.

C! Quackity is sick and refusing to rest even as Charlie tries to make him rest. So Q tickles the slime boy to prove how tough and well he is "See! If I can still wreck you, then I'm just fine"

The lee/ler is sick and refuses to take medicine (c!q or c!/cc!Karl 🙄lol) so they demand to be able to tickle the other for x amount of time as a trade.

I've seen quite a bit of sick Lee's getting tickles to feel better but I don't think I've seen any sick ler gets to tickle or even sick lee gets to tickle bc ler adores them and simply can't say no.

coz like, often the situation would be that person A is asking person B if tickling would help them feel better right? like either playfully/teasy, or even softly? like they need sleep or something and so person A offers them tickles? but then instead of getting the flustered accepting reaction that they expect, they just get person B flipping it on them instead. because what would actually make person B feel a lot better right now,, would be if person A were the one being tickled :D

Welcome to the blog and the AU!

As a little intro before the actual intro story to this au, since this will be pinned, A few things to mention!

I'll occasionally edit this post to update the master list/add links or info. And keep in mind, these are all the characters, nothing here is really related to the CCs themselves.

But a small very quick rundown. This will take place around the beginning of season 9, still in their starter-base era. This au is purely fiction and probably not that accurate to any true storyline hermits had haha.

If anyone has any questions, comments, etc my asks and dm’s are open! Do I know where im going with this au? No not really, it's really an ‘As I Go’ kind of thing.

And if you were here since the start/when I had a bunch of other stuff going on, a lot of that info is deleted for now and will be worked back into the story later on. This blog will be a mix of stories and art, cause I like to do both.

One more thing, I will have the characters of SweetestHoneybee, Mjlor, and DoctorSiren in this au! As well as DoctorSiren's Jumbro's headcanon(which is basically Jimmy and Mumbo are brothers). If any of them have become uncomfortable with this overtime ill respect any boundaries they have <3

But enough intro from me, enjoy this little story and hope you enjoy the blog 07

Once upon a time, Deities ruled separately. Each having their own realm or home to their lonesome or to just them and their worshipers. Back in these days, it was a lonely time to be called a diety.

But in a late Beta build, a Diety has come to be. At first, their purpose was unknown to them, wandering around and making friends with others, heck even joining a realm under a fake persona to try and find their purpose. And was this the best choice they made.

This person? They went by the name Xisuma, their chosen name for non-diety purposes. And in this server, Xisuma found around 5 other deities, all doing a similar thing to him, hiding their identities to find out who they want to be, or be someone different from who they thought they were. This was also the year the Watchers mysteriously appeared, the Listeners not too far being either. These strange beings claim to be alive since the beginning of time but never announced themself till now. And whether you were to believe it or not, their powers rivaled deities. Hell, they even took down a few corrupt deities and harnessed their powers for themselves, or so it seemed.

But looking back at Xisuma and his newfound friends, it seemed their ‘season’ was coming to an end. And not wanting this new wonderful experience to end, and maybe a bit of a deeper feeling in his gut telling him not to let go of this server just yet, he offered to keep the world going. Offered to take responsibility and keep it up to date and watch over it. And after a few meetings and long nights, the decision was made.

The world was reset sometime later. Some left, and a lot more joined. The number of secret deities bumped up to 11. A few had heard about this place on their own, and a few heard it from another deity or friend within the group.

And seeing this new growth, Xisuma decided to start a secret club of sorts for them all. It was sweet and harmless, mostly. Just, them able to talk and express themselves in godly ways they couldn't ever do before with anyone else. It was really helpful to a lot of them, if not all of them.

Everything went as smoothly as it could go that season, and heck, next season all but 13 in this season were now deities. It was looking up for this little community of deities forming here.

Around a fourth through the season, Xisuma announced an idea to the other deities. They were in the majority here, and they all trusted their fellow members, so why not reveal their secrets? The question had to be sat on for a while for some people.

But, in the end, later into the server, a few non-deity players had already left, and this group of all-powerful being gathered everyone else. 11 were left to tell their secret too.

And thank the gods, they all took it well. One was a bit, overwhelmed, and had already planned of leaving soon. They promised to keep their secret and keep all of them in a good place in their heart but did leave the server a few days later.

For the rest, they were all rightfully surprised, but what was also shocking was there were a few immortal or semi-immortal beings alongside them as well, three specifically purely immortal.

Next season, it seems a lot more deities were catching onto this new, ‘hangout’ spot that's been created. Heck, a lot of them had smaller meetings with other deities and they just did their jobs together instead of alone. As the season went on, more of the mortal members left. All on good terms, not being pushed out in any way, but they all had their reasons.

By season 5 however, it seemed all mortals had left, and it was time for a new set of rules, a new order. Hermitcraft was now no longer an ordinary server, it has gotten stricter locks and codes, and its vaults and data were harder to breach. This server? Was now a home of deities. Of course, on the outside, no one knew that, they just assume they'd gotten more strict on joining for whatever reason. But on the inside, everyone was immortal in some way, everyone trusted one another, and they were here to help one another. No longer were they alone and fending for themselves, they all now had a place to truly call home.

And whether they decided to stay or go, whether new deities or immortals were added later on, once a hermit, Hermitcraft will always be your home to come back to. Overtime teams are formed to make everyone's lives a bit easier and to bring some “mortal” normal-ness back into hermitcraft.

With 3 teams, Ambassador’s and advertisers, and then teams of just Ambassador’s or just Advertisers; The hermits make a way to connect back with the mortal world besides just doing their jobs. Heck, most if not all hermits even start up some ‘vlogging’ of their builds, life, and shenanigans and start growing a fanbase that way. While not directly leaning into their deities' powers and gifts, for most it feels nice to have a fanbase like that again.

Now, are their darker secrets left unanswered and swept under the rug? Maybe they just haven't been seen yet? Of course there are! But deities can only do so much still, they can't be looking into every odd dark crack all the time. And with a server as protected as theirs, why should they have constant stress and paranoia over it? Everything’s gonna be fine, they travel worlds all the time. Even if there was danger, they can just lose it by going to another world.

Their deities, after all, nothing would be stupid enough to fuck with 20+ of them, right?

Dancing with the king (Oc x cc) *choco caramel x dark cacao*

Pt.1; plans

The cacao kingdom, always coverd in snow, quiet, yet filled with cookies, dark but beautiful, ruled by a king with a frozen heart, Dark Cacao Cookie, the castle, empty yet full, the cacao kingdom was of many names, yet it remains the beautiful snowy kingdom.

It was like any other quiet and cold day in the kingdom, as watchers walked on the wall, making sure the icey streets were safe, as people walked past the castle gates, ever since dark chocos...betrayal, nobody was allowed inside, nobody has seen king cacao and were worried, very worried, the watchers wouldn't talk about it, so nobody knew if dark cacao was dead or alive, but all the people of the cacao kingdom can do is hope he's okay.

Caramel arrow, the first watcher, was in the castle halls, walking down the dark hallway, with the brightest of cookies beside her, queen Hollyberry cookie, whom was here to try and cheer dark cacao up...

"So, you want to trow a ball here...to help dark cacao feel better? I mean, I get that it's the anniversary of you all graduating, but I don't think the king will allow it" Caramel arrow sighed softly, looking up at Hollyberry. "Come on arrow, seeing his friends would definitely put a smile on that grumps face" Hollyberry smiled softly "Just trust me..." she adds.

Caramel arrow and Hollyberry stopped when the hallway turned into a door, that lead into dark cacaos room, Hollyberry sighed "Alright..." she knocked on dark cacaos door "Dark cacao? It's me! Hollyberry!" She smirked, waiting a good 10 seconds before...

"Enter..."

Dark cacao spoke, his voice deep yet soft, Hollyberry gulped and walked inside "Hello there...Hollyberry cookie..." Dark cacao spoke, sitting up on his bed, Hollyberry smiled "Dark cacao! It's been a long time, do you know what day it is?" She asked, dark cacaos mood seemed to brighten only a little "Yes, the anniversary of us graduating" he nods "Good times...very good times" he sighed "I miss it..." he looked down

Hollyberry chuckled "well, I've been thinking, and to cher you up, we should have a party in your ba room! Me, you, pure vanilla, golden chease, and youe subjects!" Hollyberry smiled brightly, but looked at dark cacao, who just blinked, before just shaking his head "Lieten, ill allow it once...only for my friends, but I dont want anyone, I want watchers, and some family, I don't want evryone in my kingdom in one place" he sighed softly as he was hugged by Hollyberry.

"Dont worry ol' pal! I'll make sure to only invite watchers and there families" Hollyberry smiled, dark cacao would share a slight smile back "thank you, make sure to invite all of caramel arrows family, hers is tiny, and it'll be easy" dark cacao smiled, as Hollyberry leaves his room.

"Arrow, he's throwing a party for watchers and there families only eh?" Hunter caramel smiled, him and caramel yo-yo smirked, caramel yo-yo laughed "color me surprised!" He chuckled, Choco caramel sighed softly "you boys better behave or sister will kick us out" she smiled and looked at Caramel arrow.

Hunter nods "Yeah yeah, says you little sis" he chuckled and ruffles choco caramels hair softly. Choco caramel chuckled and shakes her head "yeah yeah...I'll get my red dress on" she smiled, walking upstairs, yo-yo and Hunter smiled running upstairs to change, caramel arrow sighed "siblings" she rolled her eyes playfully unaware what's yet to come to there dearest little sister.

Alright TS4 Community. Let’s Talk.

I have seen an insane amount of backlash and drama still going on even after EA changed their TOS to fit cc creators demands. Drama is inevitable in general, there’s always going to be some sort of drama happening regardless of where it falls on the severity spectrum. ( This post is only about SIMS. Don’t bring other games or content in this, As well as MY OPINION since it is MY blog. Thank You. )

I’m going to be addressing the following:

1. CC creators early access abuse

2. CC creators ignoring EA’s new TOS

3. EA’s decision’s with their TOS being mistakes

4. Egotistical & Victim Mentaility cc creators

CC creators early access abuse

For background information, EA put out an updated TOS update. One of the main things people immediately started posting about was a permanent ban on all forms of paywalls, permanent, Early access, VIP, etc. This was quickly changed after EA recieved heavy backlash since cc creators were upset. They changed it to a ban on all permanent paywalls whilst early access was now acceptable for a “reasonable amount of time”. Of course most cc creators were quick to jump right back onto the early access train. Because of EA’s limitless time spectrum when it came to early access many people ( non & cc creators ) said that 2-3 weeks max behind a paywall no more than $10 should be the maximum thats considered acceptable. Althought this is an unwritten rule by EA and is one made by the sims fandom, many cc creators chose to ignore the acceptable time frame and chose to go for a month+ behind paywalls. A couple creators i’ve seen have priced their sims cc $20-$70 for a paywall that will never be taken down regardless of what they say.

Let’s get this straight.

I’m pretty sure i speak for most if not all of the respectable sims community when i say that the 2-3 weeks if any for early access is this MOST it should be. Whilst being charged no more than $10 max. Personally the $5-7 range is the best to go if you’re charging for your cc.

CC creators ignoring EA’s new TOS

I’m sure its no surprise that this is happening as well as not even being talked about much. In reference for background information to the previous point. some CC creators are pretending that they aren’t noticing EA’s TOS or anything thats related to such. EX: ignoring comments, dm’s, tweets, posts, videos, tags, etc. Now, EA has a report a creator system ( which ill link at the end of this whole post ), that actually seems to have been working. EA isnt allowed or is going to go into detail about what they’re going to do with the creators but we’ve seen creators whole pages being completely removed after ignoring EA’s TOS and being reported. There are certain creators continuing overcharged permanent paywalls regardless of what people say or EA in general. I should make this clear that EA is the whole reason why you have a income from these paysites, without sims you would not be able to do what you’re doing. So why disrespect them in such a rude way. Profitting off of EA’s game and listing things in defence such as “ CC creators are using their own designs, their own models, & their own textures “ is such a weird loophole you’ve found around EA’s TOS. Yeah sure they use their own things but they are making them for a game, its not licensed, its not needed for the sims, its not made by EA, its an add on to a game that other fans are creating. If you’ve made or seen YouTube videos about CC you’ll notice that if you want to make a HQ finished product, an easy way that a ton of sims 4 CC creators gatekeep is simply exporting offical sims 4 base-game meshes to Blender from Sims4Studio to keep the weight for their new products. Many sims 4 items are stolen from other games and simply imported and converted to sims and sold to CC consumers. Many people are making more excuses such as maybe the creator doesn’t speak english. Then why’re their posts and replies in full english? Also just so we’re clear EA has a translated page for these rules into many languages, not only that but im 100% sure that many people who speak their native language are talking about this too because they saw it somewhere, people who speak other languages other than english aren’t from another planet where they cant work social media and translators. Trust me. THEY. KNOW. THE. RULES.

Heres My Take.

Sims 4 is and will forever be a game where people make custom content, EA, like any other game company has rules to follow and you must stick to them, If you are wanting income for your work do it fairly or dont do it at all. Nobody, NOT A SOUL is going to pay $60 for mediocre cc you made in a free program that is plain and boring, that is the price of five human t-shirts from a box store during a back to school sale. It’s crazy how they think its okay. You can’t and will not be heard out for your weird loopholes you thought of in the shower during a shower thoughts moment. EA says reasonable amount of time for early access and anything other than that is illegal. THEN thats what it is. Some people act like making a tumblr post about EA’s rules being unreasonable and unfair is going to make EA insantly change their rules to fit their fragile needs. 99% cc creators are fully grown adults with lives of their own, If you are able to get a job and work then do so? instead of scamming kids and young people as well as doxing them for your income.

EA’s decision’s with their TOS being mistakes

EA should have thought what they wanted thoroughly before hitting post in a panic. Making a huge statment of banning all paywalls was an instant drama causer and pissed a lot of people off including CC creators. Many CC creators insantly deleted all their cc out of anger. Now don’t get me wrong the same amount of CC creators altered their blogs and patreons to fit the rules and lifted all paywalls and was incredibly kind to everyone. These kind creators listened and understood that some people can’t afford their prices monthly on such an unstable website such as patreon ( which literally charges you again at the beginning of a month if you bought a subscription at the end of a previous month.. whaaat?? ). This whole situation in itself should have never happened if EA just thought it through a little more and ignored social media press.

Egotistical & Victim Mentaility cc creators

A dozen CC creators are sitting on very high horses. You aren’t entitled to extreme payment, you arent entitled to having everyone listen to you whine about your pyramid scheme being broken down in the span of a week. It’s really sickened me to see many cc creators i once supported, get aggressive with people who gently confronted them about their ignorance. They either get angry or play the victim and it can be very manipulative for people who dont know how manipulative people get you in their grasp. This is such a huge topic and its very difficult to keep it short because i’m going to make a seperate post prior to this one about this specific topic. But just very breifly i’ve seen a lot of creators post about how they feel they have the right to get angry since its their content and their property whilst being a their only form of income. Another topic ill touch on in the later post is the fact that i’ve seen creators use their disabilities as an excuse for their anger towards EA. Combining all this together the one thing ill say now is that no matter what their excuses or reactions are towards this situation it will always be a “okay?” situation. I’m disabled myself and i would never bring up something like that in order to manipulate people into feeling bad. Yes it sucks for you if you are disabled that this was once a stable form of income but its now not and instead of being insanely rude to people who dont control EA’s TOS find something else to get paid for. Many including myself have made posts about how CC creators can get income without paywalling or breaking TOS. I suggest you look at other things you can do instead of pumping mediocre overpriced paywalled CC out like a factory.

Conclusion

Before you get irritated with me for voicing my opinions take into consideration that you are doing the exact same thing. Im a autistic person with a learning disability on top of other physical and mental illnesses and im not going to use it to get sympathy from people to gain attention. I SUGGEST you do the same. I’m in no way hating on every person in the community, 99% of these takes are aimed directly at problematic CC creators.

I’ll make a part 2 to this post as well as a seperate post for point 4 in a later date talking about the problematic CC creators that i’ve seen ( racism, anti-LGBTQ, abelism, abuse, manipulation, scamming, illegal activity & more. )

"all over the place" is a unique criticism of zenkai... if i had to choose i'd say its problem was being overly consistent, rather. consistently cute & silly hijinks while disregarding the story potential it had in the background. but i'm glad you're liking donbros; i am too.

and i had the experience of growing up loving the horrendous cardcaptors english dub but i can't remember if i ever fully sat down and watched or read actual ccs... i think i tried as a teen but the only manga scans online then were these awful fan ones where the translator would add in homophobic remarks about tomoyo in the margins and shit like that. well. maybe one of these days i'll finally read it for real.

We can't enforce standards on other communities, but we can use them here! The next thing after that will be to write documentation, including rationale, for why what was picked was picked, and then start converting things. My current practice there is to leave files untouched but it feels like as good a place as any to start the discussion. My recommendation, cc and is to make a thread in the vtools forum to propose a 68kMLA/vtools standard file compression method. Which, another point on this whole thing: I think some of this is going to require research and trial and error. CD imaging and floppy imaging, with the caveat that CD imaging should probably go toward making an ISO on a Windows computer with a tool like imgburn - I recently found out that the "Virtual ISO utility" works on system 7 for 68k so I don't see any reason to produce CD images in any other format, if that turns out to be true. My opinions on this largely stretch out to cover other forms of this topic, i.e.

I suppose the other option is to write new file compression and expansion utilities for vintage Mac and modern computers, but, to be honest, I tend to think that there's no good or compelling reason to, say, need to open a stuffit 5 archive on my modern computer. Word 1.0 for the original Mac may not make sense as a zip file, but Word 2004, which only ran on OS X, might. Ultimately, once standards are decided, someone needs to take on the work of unpacking things using the newest available versions of all these tools, and then repacking them to whatever standards are chosen based on what's appropriate for any given piece of software. Macintosh et al are absolutely a case of the latter.

This, specifically, is why I tend to prefer running Classic Mac OS and OS X 10.2/3/4 servers for my vintage macs and on bridge machines, and having this available is a lot of why I am running vtools.

Those two things together mean that most vintage Mac software archives come across as ill considered overall, because, well, they are. tar.gz file or why someone would have tried to image a boot CD with toast.

I can't think of any other reason why someone would put vintage mac software into a rar or.

People contributing to software archives didn't necessarily prepare their files with an intent to be used where they are, and, may not have taken into account what other people have or what their workflows are like.

Stuffit happened to be fine for some of the role it got in the early years of the Internet but most of that was because every single Mac magazine cover disc was still shipping with the newest version of the expander, and the expander was included in the OS and with most commercial software and with packs like the apple internet connection kit.

It was a file management tool that has its roots in the specific computing environment of the '80s and '90s and most of its foibles come down to the way people interacted with it and with Macs in those decades

To add to this point: Stuffit wasn't meant for long-term historical preservation.

File compression techniques got meaningfully better during Stuffit's lifetime and the company took advantage of new techniques when releasing new software.

I've never seen any evidence that they are not completely forward compatible, so what we're here is ultimately a symptom of two things: I like stuffit, personally, I think it's fine, and, I agree - the fact that the files aren't completely backward compatible is tough.

how i (personally) pirate things. this is by no means a great extensive perfect guide, ill just give you the process of how i go about it. and if you’re in a country where they monitor your internet usage, consider getting a good vpn! always helps. also if anyone wants to add their personal resources, PLEASE DO!!! you’re encouraged to do so!!!

not much to do with the pirating itself, but i download most of the stuff i watch/read/listen. sometimes websites get deleted and links go bad, but files are forever! consider getting a usb/external disk for your stuff. it was one of my first investments as an adult. got a 1 TB disk 5 years ago and im not even halfway through filling it. so most of the sites listed here are for downloads. sorry if you prefer streaming stuff.

in the same subject, get VLC media player. it’s a great media player that works with a bunch of file formats AND you can add subtitle/cc files for the stuff you watch. more on that later.

and for the love of fucking god GET MOZILLA. i swear to God, if you only use chrome it will change your browsing experience. it's just a better experience, no tracking, uses less space, has a bunch of useful add ons to help with browsing security. for a search engine i use startpage. it's just Google without blocking pages and tracking. life-changing

to the actual pirating. first step if you want to WATCH stuff:

AND also, keep in mind that if you can’t find something here, i suggest you go to a non-google browser, and simply type out what you want + “watch/download free”. of course you should get an ad block (i recommend ublock) and learn how to recognized fake links, but that’s just practise. most of the time you’ll find a random website that has what you’re looking for.

torrent:

- for movies, i usually turn to yts/yify movies. this is the latinamerican site but im sure it’s available almost everywhere. quite good catalogue, not that complete, but yknow. its good. any time you download a torrent file, make sure the file is .torrent, and that the thing you’re downloading is in the right format (mp4, mp3, mkv, etc. don’t open.exe files from places that aren’t trustworthy lol)

- torrent is IN MY OPINION one of the best ways to download media in general. i use it mostly for movies, tv shows and games. my go to torrent client is deluge because it doesn’t use much space and it’s fairly easy to use. here’s a tutorial, for you to learn how to use it. not difficult at all

- for subtitles /ccs, i go to yts-subs. bunch of subtitles in all languages. or simply check out opensubtitles, my oldest friend

- for tv shows it gets tricky, because i had a website i used before but its gone now :( so i turned to limetorrents. you can find it if you search for it. has a bunch of other stuff but i only use it when i have nowhere to turn to lmao. but upadates quite quickly, so. just make sure the uploader seems constant and trustworthy, which you can check in their profile.

non torrent stuff:

- for pc games: igggames hasn’t failed me yet. they update their links quite often

- for books: z-library (latine link, but just look it up! should show up). and my recent ally, vk. you should all love vk. vk is my fucking best friend. just look up [book name] + vk and it should show up.

- for audiobooks: vk! my good friend. i’d suggest you make an account and then check out this profile. or simply google [book] + audiobook + vk. something will pop up. audio files can only be streamed on the website, but fear not, there is also mobilism, which also has some other content, though i use it mostly for audiobooks. you’ll have to make an account but thats fine. you can download the files in there.

- for anime: i don’t watch a lot of anime tbh, but you can find subtitled anime here

- for premium apps: here’s my trusty spotify premium link. but mobilism has links for android and ios apps as well! i have a friend who uses it and says the links check out, so!

- for music: how old are you? just download stuff from youtube with a youtube to mp3 converted. jeez.

As usual I've had multiple asks about my opinion on something. This time it's the Mask Music video, more specifically "The normal pills" so here we go once again. This is also going to include bits about Anthony’s interview with Dream so if you haven’t seen it you might not be aware of somethings.

Disclaimer: This is going to include mental illnesses, v*mitting talk, eating disorders, medication, anxiety and similar topics so if you’re sensitive to any of these probably avoid this post. This also isn’t me talking for Dream or speculating things about him or his ADHD.

First off I’m so happy Dream is finally comfortable enough to talk about his ADHD openly as well as clearly doing his research. For a lot of NT people they might not understand how important it is for someone with such a big platform to be open and honest about mental illness and the struggles that come with it. Previously Dream would put down a lot of ADHD symptoms to him being tired or having an off day or being dumb. Which obviously sometimes that can be the case but mental illnesses affect people’s “normal” functions a lot more than they think. Dream finally using terms like “fixation” and being open about struggles like medication and setbacks is amazing to see.

To clear some things up as a lot of people having been critical about Dream talking about not taking medication, everyone has a different experience with ADHD so just because someone doesn’t take pills it doesn’t mean they can’t help someone else.

(you can skip this paragraph if you don’t care about me and are just here for Dream it doesn’t really add my Dream opinion but it’s an alternative view of ADHD and medication)I personally can’t take pills for any of my illnesses because of have a fear of choking and being sick so whilst taking pills might help my ADHD it will bring up my anxieties. On top of that I have a rare eating disorder where I am restricted to 5 safe foods and physically can’t eat/drink anything else. (It’s called ARFID for the people who have previously asked) Also to make it worse I have Hyperosmia (super strong sense of smell), Phantosmia (can smell things that aren’t real, like entering a random room and it smelling like chicken) and Hypergeusia (fucked up sense of taste) so basically I smell and taste things that don’t exist as well as taste almost all individual ingredients in food (like a smoothie I can pick out every ingredient) so I physically can’t take medication.

So medication affects people differently depending on the person. For Dream taking pills calms his ADHD and helps him focus but it messes up his creative thoughts and in a way “sucks the happiness out of him”. So for Dream it’s either take medication to slow down the brain but he’s lowkey bored or don’t take the medication and have his brain going super fast but he also has things that keep him happy and occupied.

Regarding the “normal” part a lot of people are upset about that mostly because they don’t understand. When I was diagnosed with ADHD they offered me medication and said it would “help me and my brain function normally” obviously it’s not meant in a harmful way however it gives the impression that ADHD isn’t normal and if you have ADHD then something is wrong with you. A lot of people seem to think this is Dream “telling” people that medication doesn’t help, which if he was it would be understandable to be mad about however I personally didn’t take it as “essential oil Facebook mum propaganda” but as something that he was told as a child. I personally think the reason he had that little detail was because even though it’s an offhanded comment it can definitely impact you so much and I think that a bit of Dream’s brain still thinks that.

(This is a big example using cc’s as well as my own opinion on how taking medication can benefit some. It’s not important so you can stop reading the post if you’re not interested as this is the final paragraph. It adds a bit to the conversation but isn’t life changing it’s basically another explanation for NT using content creators to make it easier) A lot of mental disabilities either clash or combine with each other so medication can obviously help. However it depends on the person. Let’s use Techno as an example. Him and Dream have a lot of similarities from things like height and age to them both having ADHD. I know Techno has previously mentioned taking medication for ADHD and I think he still does. Compare that to Dream who doesn’t take medication for his. Obviously they can have different levels of ADHD but for this explanation they have the exact same ADHD. So this is two very similar people with ADHD one takes medication to help his ADHD and the other doesn’t. Personally I think Techno’s calmness and monotone is partially down to taking medication and I think that if Dream was to take medication it would also make him more calmed and “bland”. In my personal opinion Dream on medication would be a completely different person and not in a good way. Similiarly I think that Techno without medication would make him a lot more like Karl.

TLDR; IF YOU GOT UPSET AT DREAM REFERRING TO MEDICATION AS NORMAL PILLS AND YOU’RE NT SHUT THE FUCK UP. IF YOU’RE ND HERE’S A BIT OF EXPLANATION FROM SOMEONE WITH ADHD WHO CAN’T TAKE MEDS.
