I am delighted to have designed the wayfinding illustrations for Creativity Gallery at West Bund Museum. Creativity Gallery hosts many exhibitions and activities for children, so I wanted to create a relaxed and playful atmosphere. I designed the space to resemble the "maze ruler" toy I played with when I was a kid, where a pair of large hands is moving a small ball by tilting the entire gallery, representing the current location of the viewer. The small ball falls out and bounces around in the gallery, with each area marked by bouncing balls labeled with numbers. Much thanks to West Bund Museum for the invitation.

Goncharov has invited a business partner to the (night)club where Sofia sings, and his mafia is active. Sofia sings and entertains them while they eat dinner, and all is well until Goncharov confronts the business partner for lying to him, and shoots him right before Sofia's eyes. Both dealing with the partner and testing Sofia if she can handle actual mafia work. (she passes, mostly.)

YES another fanart of a movie that doesn't exist. Goncharov (1973) is completely made up by tumblr in the past month, and I've been enjoying it greatly. For a tad more context check my previous post, which is a drawing of Sofia's lover, Katya

Well, life is sometimes a bit mysterious if you look beneath the surface. Here's a little still life, but don't believe your ears, because it's not actually still. It's very much moving, noisy and filled with magic on the edges.

The drawing was done in Procreate, and a pinch of moving magic was added later in After Effects.

Don’t know who I am? Well, I used to be @highskygraden, but I haven’t really used for much my blog anymore, so I moved my sideblog to here. I am an animated illustration focused graphic designer. You can decide to unfollow me if you’re not interested about my work, but I’m happy if you stay with me!

I’m also planning a whole rebranding and new name for this site, but until then, I am just Space Mirager!

New Comic Book Publisher Sees Creators as Partners, and Stockholders

DSTLRY hopes to improve the treatment of creators in the industry by offering an opportunity to reap the benefits of their characters and content.

Creators of comic books are “famous for being mistreated by publishers,” said David Steinberger, a co-founder and the chief executive of DSTLRY, a new company that wants to give writers and artists a greater stake for their creative efforts.

Comic book characters can be lucrative intellectual properties, particularly when they make the leap from the printed page to the silver screen, but they primarily benefit the companies that own them. It is a rueful tradition that goes back to the earliest days of the industry. The creators of Superman sold their rights to the Man of Steel for $130 in 1938, the year he debuted, not knowing the global recognition and longevity he would gain.

Unlike the creators of Superman, the founding creators of DSTLRY will retain ownership of their characters and concepts, as well as have an equity stake in the company. DSTLRY will produce oversize print comics as well as collectibles, including vinyl figures and posters. The publisher will also offer comics digitally — but only for a limited time. Once the sales window closes, the digital copies will be available only in a virtual marketplace for collectors. The seller will set the price, and a portion of resales will go to the creators.

DragonofWales... they're an illustratior mostly known for their novosaurs (their series of avian/dinosaurs) and Dragon of Wales (A series of small speculative dragon species). They are EXCEPTIONAL in hyper realism, I would recommend checking them out if you ever get the chance. This is a PAINTING by the way.

@zbktnumberone on Twitter! First of all.. THEIR ANATOMY??? They do 3d modeling and all I have to really say is that they're doing gods work man. Literally, after seeing their works I believe that god is working on new creatures to send down to earth via a 3d modeling program, their work is just so good. How they make skeletons and all of the muscles- it's just phenomenal.

A New Illustrator

Hello! I'm currently looking for a new voluntary illustratior for my Omori AU: Conscience Explorers! If you'd like to know more about it, check my pinned message!

But here's a quick summary:

(OMORI SPOILERS)

"Something unexpected happened years after Sunny left Headspace. The SCP Foundation, dedicated to Earth's protection, takes a closer look." And in the AU, it's basically what if Omori and co were SCPs. It follows the main character, an ordinary scientist, through his interactions with said characters. He's named after me only cuz if not, I wouldn't have the correct mindset when writing him.
