Then go read “Strange Academy”, written by the awesome Skottie Young, the genius behind “I Hate Fairyland.”

It seems like a typical academy of adventure sort of deal. It is, yet it is not. The school was founded by Doctor Strange AKA the Sorcerer Supreme. It is a place where young teen magic users can learn how to perfect their skills as well as be taught about magic in general so they can better understand this dangerous world where everything usually have a cost of a sort.

But that’s not all. The school’s true purpose is to prepare the magic teens to face an upcoming challenge. there is a prophesy that one of the students of Strange Academy will be “the One”, meaning either the one to save all magic... or destroy it.

What makes this series truly unique is how it treats the teen hero trope. You know, that kid who is sick of the adults and their BS. The smart teen who stands up for what is right and is not scared of breaking the rules. The one who inspire the other kids to take up the good fight, who is sick of waiting for positive change. “Strange Academy” takes this old trope and do some pretty interesting and even unexpected things with it.

We see old faces like Scarlet Witch, Illyana Rasputina, Doctor Voodoo and other magic veterans of the Marvel universe as well the brand new students who are of all types and shapes. Some of them are undead, sentient crystal, wears a magic jacket, Asgardian, you name it. Heck, one of them is the son of Dormammu AKA the demon ruler of the Dark Dimension.

Also, the school is located in New Orleans.

ABILITIES/SKILLS: Stepping Discs: Controlling the stepping discs of Limbo allows Illyana to teleport through space and time. It’s not always exact, and she always passes through Limbo to get to where she’s going. The further out she goes, the less control she has. Soulsword: Using a piece of her soul, Illyana forged a sword she can summon at will. It doesn’t cut through solid matter as other swords do, but rather disrupts spells and magical abilities. Sorcery: Illyana has studied as a sorcerer under the tutelage of the demon lord Belasco since she’s was very little. She’s mostly adept at dark magic, and can struggle a bit with lighter magic, especially outside of Limbo.

HAVE THEY BROUGHT ANY FAMILY OR PETS WITH THEM: No pets! But she would enjoy a visit from Lockheed every now and then, if he ever ventures away from Kate.

ANY HEADCANONS YOU WANT OTHERS TO KNOW: I like to think Illyana’s accent isn’t quite Russian. It’s there a little bit, but really she hasn’t lived in Siberia since she was seven years old. English was basically downloaded into her head, then she spent years in Limbo. So there’s a bit of a Russian accent, but there’s also a bit of something else. Illyana knows where she got it, but it’d be hard for others to place.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT EMPEROR DOOM? It’s admittedly pretty impressive, what he did. It’d be wrong not have some amount of respect for a man who can wrangle universes together where there was only chaos before. But she’s not really big on supreme rulers, if she’s being honest. Maybe it’s an authority thing, maybe it’s that she knows what it’s like to wrest control from one, but she certainly doesn’t feel like bowing down at his feet any time soon.

HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT THE BATTLES? ARE THEY TRYING TO AVOID THEM? OR ARE THEY EAGER TO JUMP IN? It’s fun! In a way. Competing in the Killoseum was an easy answer. She has magic, she has a frankly really cool sword. Besides, maybe there’s something to be learned from being right in the middle of everything. Everything is a mess, she’s still trying to figure out how the pieces all fit together and what the purpose might be, but swinging her sword in battle? That makes sense. That’ll always make sense.

the town continued to get absorbed into black holes -- entire buildings and homes, cars, people, the entirety of wayne industries arcadia location. people were either fleeing, or hiding. a fair few were helping out and trying to get people to safety and away from the black holes before it erased everything out of existence. while chaos and panicking was happening ector whitman, wanda maximoff, illyana rasputina and billy kaplan got to work to alter reality and save everyone. nico minoru helped too. one moment, the town was falling apart and the next, it had been completely consumed by the black holes -- but not a person was in sight, they had all been relocated to 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒓𝒌.

arcadia is recreated as a neighborhood in manhattan [ renamed arcadia village ], while some can live in the neighborhood it's not a must , characters can be moved to anywhere in nyc.

small shops + business' were moved to the neighborhood but things like the university , hospital were merged with ones in nyc [ if you were in the hospital with serious injuries , you could wake up in new york presbyterian , if you were going to school at arcadia university you might be going to empire state university or columbia now ]. an example would be mj watson owning a small theatre in arcadia, maine it may translate to owning a theatre on broadway. everything translates in some way.

inspo ; chelsea + greenwich village , manhattan.

boom tubes around the city are heavily utilitzed, esp when getting from arcadia to the ocean -- speaking of, there's a handful of beaches, both private and public, for talokanil's that need access to the water. though going out of nyc would be better, and less crowded. but there is easy access to non - chlorine water.

metropolis is an hour from nyc, but still remains in new york. it's its own city. other closeby cities include gotham, bludhaven, atlantic city, all in new jersey. xavier's school gifted youngsters is only an hour drive away in upstate new york.

characters can just wake up in bed in their new home, or it could be like no time passed and they were doing the exact thing they were doing before [ eating, cooking, etc ] but notice a slight shift.

arcadia, maine does not exist anymore.

this may be a temporary change, but if everyone likes it it'll be permanent.

There’s been some big changes in Illyana’s life. She’s joined the X-Men in addition to being a New Mutant, and Madelyne Pryor has taken Limbo from her. Illyana’s got a new costume, a new team and a new thing going. She’s been through so much in her life that she’s great at adapting to change, but it’ll still take a second to transition. There’s been times in her life when she’s been a little too dark, a little too violent. It’s true -- being in Limbo for so long shaped her in a certain way. Illyana can be unconventional, but she’ll ride for her people. It doesn’t matter that how she does it may change from time to time. In the words of Illyana, it’s @#$& or fight. There’s no reason not to do both.

✗ DANI MOONSTAR (616) is one of Illyana’s best friends. She was with her recently during the whole Limbo ordeal, and Illyana has let Dani into her very selective circle of trust. Dani -- along with Rahne, Sam, Roberto, Doug and the other New Mutants -- have been through a lot together. They were just kids when they started and they’ve all grown a lot.

✗ SCOTT SUMMERS (616) was part of the Phoenix Five along with Illyana, Emma Frost, Piotr Rasputin and Namor. They stuck together afterwards and recruited new mutants alongside Emma, all three working through various kinks with their mutations. A lot has happened since then -- Scott dying being and being resurrected one thing. She was honored to serve alongside him as a Captain of Krakoa, and now she’s honored to be an X-Men alongside him as well. He’s flawed, but he’s also good at what he does.

✗ MADELYNE PRYOR (616) had a shit go of things. Illyana always knew her as the evil Goblin Queen, but following her resurrection she claimed to turn over a new leaf. Illyana chose to believe Madelyne wanted the best when she agreed to hand Limbo over to her. Illyana’s had her fill of demons. It’s time for something new, and Madelyne is more than capable of handling Limbo.

The X-Men have turned into something new under Jean and Scott, and her close friendship with the latter helped encourage her to join the roster in addition to the many other teams she’s a part of. limbo an imaginary dimension in illyana’s she created due to all the suffering she went though . she transported herself here along side her dragon  Lockheed (outside of limbo  Lockheed is a stuffed dragon toy, in limbo he is very much real ) to to be safe she is a very powerful sorceress.this place has become real to her after spending so much time there (in the comics limbo is a very much real place at the age of six after being saved she lived at the x mansion with her brother and she tagged along when the  her brother and the current x men were setting up a base of operations on a mysterious island , while the xmen were busy , illyana was lured away from the xmen and safety and was taken into limbo by Belasco , the xmen followed her into the dimension in tempt to recuse her. this wasn’t the first time the xmen were pulled into limbo, the current  members that fell into limbo with illyana an alternate group of the same current xmen from a different reality were pulled into there years prior and they couldnt escape two of those current five of the alternate realities self were killed, the alternative reality storm who goes by ororo , she hold off  Belasco’s demonic hordes so the newly trapped xmen can escape with the young illyana however not everything went as planned at the last minute Belasco pulled illyana back into limbo, after he pulled her away from kitty and back into limbo he forced a piece of her soul into a bloodstone ororo attempted to stop Belasco but with her old age and the power of the blood stone she was no match , lucky the alternative reality kitty came to the scene she drove Belasco away , her and ororo took the young girl to ororo’s garden sanctuary , the alternate universe version of storm attempted to sever the magical link Belasco hold on the young girl but she failed so instead she decided to tutor the girl in magic which would allow the young girl to better defend herself kitty then left being upset after a while of training with ororo cat snuck back into the sanctuary to convince the girl to leave with her, cat brought the girl to limbo’s savage land where cat taught the girl how to fight with a sword after three years of teaching the young girl cat brought here back to where Belasco’s territory with the intention to send the girl home and far away from Belasco they got through the alternative version of nightclawer who was under Belasco’s control, they had made in to Belasco’s alter before they could send her home Belasco’s came to further corrupt her  and transformed her into his dark chilld, her further muntanted cat so she was now under his control, his plan has work she had cut herself and make Belasco a second blood stone , she spend another two years under his control, she had also attempted to use the same magic the alternative version of storm taught her but she couldn’t even conjure a single acorn, during those two years the demon sim would punish the young girl  at the smallest mistakes or for even no reason at all. it was during this time the girls mutant powers manifested. for xx amount years she was in limbo until she used her own mutant  powers to bring her back to her time and place, with only a few seconds passing in her time , she was in the hellish dimension for limbo for seven years. illyana was now a teenage) 

illyana along with lockheed and her sword she killed eighteen men , including the men that used her as a sex slave. this cause her to be landed in Milbury Hospital where she meet three other mutants one who she doesn’t get along with when they were first admitted into the hospital 

when Illyana first meet Dani Moonstar she hated her she tried to kill her more the once . 

dani was the one who summed the demon bear to fight against dr reyes, after the bear killed dr reyes and the barriers keeping the mutants there fell vanished , Illyana takes on the demon bear and wins 

after that she and the three other mutants are free and get they stuff and head to town

stepping discs: she has the ability to mentally control “stepping discs”, which allow herself and others to teleport across interstellar distances or through time. the discs are part of a dimension known as limbo, or otherplace. however, when illyana mentally calls for a stepping disc she must use limbo as a midway point before she can teleport to an alternate location.

sorcery: illyana was trained in sorcery during her capture in limbo as a child. in limbo, she her powers are nearly limitless but on earth, she finds her powers are different and not nearly as strong as she’d grown accustomed to, though she is still highly skilled and possesses much of the same potential.

limbo control: so long as illyana wields the soul sword, she controls her pocket dimension of limbo, known as otherplace, and the demons that reside in it.

psionic shields: due to her soul being partially demonic, illyana is immune to all psychic prodding and attacks. not even xavier has been able to get into her mind.

IN THE LAST YEAR SINCE THANOS WAS DEFEATED, WHAT HAS YOUR CHARACTER BEEN DOING?

illyana has spent the last year trapped in her pocket dimension of limbo, called otherplace, and outside of time. she was slipping through her stepping disks when the time displaced infinity stones were used in the final battle. unfortunately, it created an anomaly across the universe and she was unable to remove herself from otherplace and return to earth on her own. it wasn’t until stephen strange and wanda maximoff passed through her dimension on their quest to raise the dead that they found her, and made a combined effort to get past the block and bring her back with them. realizing the vast difference of her powers on earth versus limbo, illyana has begun to learn to better harness her powers on the earthly dimension at the sanctum sanctorum and be a better help against the incoming threats.

seeing that many of the x-men were lost in the snap, illyana struck out on her own. the loss filled her with anger and regret, feeling out of control of the situation that she knew she couldn’t remain with the friends that she had left. she feared turning to the dark side of her abilities and the harm she could do. instead, she travelled around the world and through dimensions, searching for a better way to help.

for as much as illyana can seem detached and indifferent, she cares deeply for the people in her life and takes a threat on them very seriously. she fights for their safety and to ensure they will have a future. and though she wouldn’t be quick to admit it, she longs to prove to herself that her demonic side does not define her and she can still do good.

when illyana was seven years old, she was lured and captured by the demon sorcerer belasco and taken to the hellish dimension of limbo.

belasco corrupted and pulled apart pieces of her soul to create bloodstones, with the eventual goal of releasing the elder gods he served and rule earth, and for her to be humanity’s damnation.

illyana was trained by him as an apprentice in sorcery though he focused her on dark magic. she spent years in limbo learning while being tormented and abused by demons there, particularly one named sy’m.

she was found there by an alternate reality version of storm and shadowcat. this alternate storm began to teach her light magic, to counteract the dark belasco pushed on her. the alternate version of shadowcat taught her combat and swordsmanship.

illyana came into her mutant powers in limbo, learning she could teleport via stepping disks. 

in order to defeat belasco, illyana took part of her soul and turned it into a weapon - the soul sword. she used it to take control of limbo and banish him from the dimension, while she was finally able to return home.

though it had been nearly a decade to her, time moved differently and she was only gone for moments in the real world.

illyana joined up with the x-men, particularly with the new mutants. although, due to occasional conflict with her abilities, she is on and off with the team and occasionally goes solo.

while belasco never succeeded in fully corrupting her soul, a portion of her soul is demonic from the meddling. when she loses control, is provoked or overuses her magic, this side can come out and is referred to as darkchylde.

darkchylde takes on a demonic appearance, with horns, a tail, and hooves.

in order to keep things relatively simple and fit easily into the movies, i will not be using her de-ageing and legacy virus death storyline from the comics, being that the circumstances to bring her back are not current canon and this is just a bit easier.

BIOGRAPHY: 

Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina was born on a Soviet collective farm in Serbia. Before her was born her two brothers Piotr and Mikhail, only one of whom would go off to do great things for himself, both of whom were also mutants. So I guess you could say she had a lot of support going for her. It was no surprise that she grew close to one brother over the other after Piotr saved her from a runaway tractor on the farm she began to look up to him even more. As a child she was used by the Russian government for her mutation, along with her oldest brother Mikhail. When Piotr found out about this Illyana was whisked away to the United States thinking that she would be safe from harm.

This was sadly not the case as Illyana was soon abducted by the demon Belasco and taken into Limbo. While in Limbo Illyana was beaten by servants of Belasco and had part of her soul taken and turned into a Bloodstone. She lived in Limbo with Belasco for a long time as an apprentice, later discovering her teleportation disc mutation. During this time she began learning the ways of sorcery and how to harness her combat skills. Illyana quickly grew tired of her time spent with the demon and formulated a plan to be released from Limbo back to Earth. This plan entailed manifesting the Soulsword from a part of her own lifeforce, which she then used to defeat the demon for the time being.

Once back on Earth it wasn’t long before SHIELD had graced her as a “person of interest” and she was taken away to the University where she would have eyes on her 24/7. While she is technically part of the Villain Reformation Program she had already been going to SHIELD University since her technical Freshman year. Now going into her year as a Junior she is gearing left and right on the VRA and trying to keep her time in Limbo a secret.

Magik (born Illyana Rasputin) is a Russian mutant with teleporting abilities and who has became a powerful sorceress in her Limbo dimension

She is also the younger sister of Colossus

Illyana was born in Siberia, Russia. As a child, she was taken as a sex slave, and tormented by otherworldly beings called the Smiley Men

To escape all this suffering, Illyana created an imaginary dimension in her subconscious that she named Limbo, and along with her dragon toy Lockheed she transported to this dimension to be safe

 In Limbo, Lockheed become in a real dragon and Illyana in a powerful sorceress

However, due to spending too much time in Limbo, that place became totally real

At some point in her life, Illyana murdered with her sword and the help of Lockheed the men who used her as a sex slave, killing 18 of them one by one

Because of this act, she ended up in the Milbury Hospital, where she met Roberto da Costa, Sam Guthrie and Rahne Sinclair. Forging a very close relationship with Roberto

Due to her tortured past, Illyana developed a strong personality with no remorse for the things she does

 This was shown when she did not hold back from saying all the people she had killed in her life and even feeling proud of it. She also showed an unhealthy attitude towards Dani Moonstar when she arrived at Milbury Hospital

Despite her strong personality, Illyana still had many internal fears that she had not yet managed to overcome, especially the Smiley Men, who even after so many years frightened her like no one else

However, she finally managed to overcome this fear by entering Limbo and taking her sword to kill the Smiley Men and thus saving her friends Roberto and Sam. She also changed her attitude towards Dani a lot when she returned her dragon toy, Lockheed, who had previously dropped her, even going so far as to talk to Dani about her past and telling her about Limbo

In addition, Illyana has shown to have certain feelings towards her partner Roberto da Costa, feeling great affection for him and worrying while Roberto confronted the Demon Bear, trying to get off the ground to help him against the creature, despite being injured

 She even screamed in pain when the Bear crushed Roberto with his foot, leaving him almost unconscious and out of combat

she has worked with the x-men, new mutants, and further trained in her sorcery with doctor strange – living a life as all a mutant, sorceress, and ruler of the limbo dimension. but illyana currently comes from a future timeline, using magic to retain her youth – and a stint in magical internment that kept her in stasis played a part as well – she comes from a time where magic is near extinct and the world borders on near-apocalyptic. she took up the mantle of sorceress supreme when the stephen strange of her time passed, and she’s spent years attempting to recover and save what was left of the mystic arts. during her search, she was approached by a past version of doctor strange and he explained the current situation to her. illyana agreed to travel and aide in the academy, wanting to prevent another grim timeline like her own.

powers and abilities: 

stepping discs: she has the mutant ability to mentally control "stepping discs", which allowed herself and others to teleport across interstellar distances or through time. however, when illyana mentally calls for a stepping disc she must use limbo as a midway point before she can teleport to an alternate location. 

sorcery: magik has been the sorceress supreme of her limbo dimension since her defeat of belasco as a child, and eventually became the supreme of earth in her future timeline as she took up the mantle after doctor strange. her power on limbo is known to be nearly endless, but more limited on earth though it had grown over time. she has practiced in both dark and light magic and must work on maintaining a balance between the two daily.

eldritch armor: the more that magik uses her magical power on any occasion, the more mystical armor appears on her body. along with the armor, illyana’s appearance would become more demonic including horns, hooves, or a tail. the mystical armor is a natural power of whoever rules in limbo.

psionic shields: she has impenetrable psionic shields, most likely a result of the time she spent in limbo and the effects of her partially demonic soul.

soulsword: the soulsword is the physical manifestation of illyana’s magical powers and the limbo dimension – only the ruler of limbo can wield the sword and only the one wielding the sword can rule limbo. it is capable of fatally wounding supernaturals, as well as the ethereal and intangible, while only causing unconsciousness in humans. it can cut through and break spells, draw spells, as well as summon the eldritch armor. it also serves to focus her magic.

if the bio is tl;dr, most of illyana’s canon history remains, though she is from an alternate future timeline where she was sorceress supreme in a near apocalyptic world where magic was near extinct. this is mostly inspired by the what if: magik and doctor strange: the end comic lines, though also implied in some other various comics.

who is raven darkholme today? who’s to say? not herself. she knows that for certain because she can, for once, bring herself to peer into the reflective surface of the bathroom MIRROR. and it is not an abyss of yellow that stares back, nor even the royal blue skin for which she’d become notorious ── no. 

today, mystique is trapped in a body unlike her own. young. sixteen, seventeen at most, an adolescent girl with pallid skin and hollowed eyes, rickety hands clutching to her handgun like it could, ironically, save her life ────yet her mind screams to END IT.  

she isn’t herself. this body isn’t her own. this mind isn’t her own. but her hold on reality slips, like the frigid sink water, through her fingertips and cascades DOWN. droplets of this aqua — whether tap water still or her own tears, mystique does not know — plummet to the bathroom floor, dropping like wingless angels on their cruel descent from heaven to HELL. 

her gaze shifts to magik now. illyana rasputina. a name for herself to cling to. memories of another time. a better time. before she became this — a fractured, fragmented CHAOS of a creature. and still she wants to beg, PLEAD  ──  anything to stop the pain — this pain — because her body, of its own accord, is changing. 

and suddenly she’s no longer some scrawny adolescent but illyana herself. it’s a momentary reprieve until she’s shifting again. a middle-aged man, balded by stress. again. a renown, algerian princess. again. a one legged prisoner of war.                                         again.                                                     again.                                                                  again. until she’s unravelling. spiralling. (  she wants irene. she wants irene but irene is gone and she will never, ever have her again. she wants anna. but anna doesn’t want her, does she? does she? she wants logan. but logan abandoned her in the desert with a gun and told her she knows what to do with it ──  )

her voice is shrill, yet mangled by a gaggle of blood trailing down her visage, UNYIELDING in its flow towards her mouth, staining teeth crimson and pooling down her throat ──  mystique chokes, sputters and swallows, on her knees she weeps a  BLOODIED SONG of mourning ──  for herself, for those she cares about, for a mind she can never really call her own, not ever again. TAINTED, just as her hands stained with blood, so too, her mind will never be the same.

teetering on the verge of consciousness now, mystique curls up on herself, once again in that FETAL POSITION ever reminiscent of when azael broke her spirit — trapped her mind in her own, personal hell, forced to relive every shift, every change, every body she’d inhabited that wasn’t hers to take and yet she took — she ALWAYS takes. and now —? that hell isn’t just a figment of magic or manipulation but real — and mystique knows even if she survives this — there will always be that part of her that never would have wanted to.

SUGARMAN

This underrated Marvel villain from the X-Men verse is probably one of the most demonic looking things to ever look upon. He is not only scary in appearance but as well as in character. Like any other villain, he creates devious plans to create mutant experiments in the hopes of having mutant slaves to work for him. In this post, we will look at this cunning creature.

Powers and Abilities

He has a tongue of indeterminate length that is able to pierce almost anything, including stone, steel and even beings in gaseous or liquid form. He is also able to control his own mass. If he loses mass, the lost mass is shunted off to some unknown location, presumably an extra-dimensional space and he shrinks in size. It's unknown how long it takes him to regain his normal size. His altered metabolism allows him to heal from injuries with ease, especially those that would otherwise kill him. For instance, he survived being crushed by Colossus's boot. He also regenerated from being beaten to death by Karima Shapandar with a metal pipe, being stabbed with multiple pieces of metal, and left for dead, and being beaten up by Callisto. Sugar Man is a genius regarding anything to do with genetics. He even produced the mutate bonding process. 

Bio

Sugar Man ran the human work camps in the Pacific Northwest; specifically the Core; which housed thousands of humans. He was a capable geneticist having a lab located at Niagara Falls and regularly tormented his slaves. Magneto required a mutant with chrono-variant powers in order to travel back in time and restore reality to its proper order before the death of Professor X, whose existence was revealed by the displaced mutant Bishop. Apocalypse had ruthlessly killed all mutants with that power so that no one could undermine his regime, but Know-It-All found one mutant with latent chrono-variant abilities; Illyana Rasputina, the sister of Generation Next leader, Colossus. Illyana, a latent mutant who was one of the many slaves at the Sugar Man's Portland Core. Magneto sent Colossus and Generation Next to recover Illyana. With the various members infiltrating the Core, things went from bad to worse when Sugar Man returned to the facility. From the moment that Husk and Vincente had killed and replaced security chief Quietus, they instantly drew Sugar Man's suspicion when he learned from the Shadow King that someone had hacked into Apocalypse's databases. When "Quietus" came across their teammates’ Chamber and Skin, Sugar Man ordered them to be eliminated. Realizing that something didn't add up, Sugar Man impaled "Quietus" with his tongue, revealing Husk and Vincente's deception. He ordered his troops to slay them before seemingly being destroyed by a blast from Chamber. Sugar Man survived; however, and came across Mondo, who had just found Illyana. Mondo was killed by Sugar Man, and as he recovered Illyana before he could do anything else he was seemingly crushed by Colossus. Sugar Man survived this brush with death yet again, and in a much smaller form hid out in Colossus' boot. Sugar Man hitched a ride all the way to Apocalypse's citadel where the X-Men were battling to save their leader Magneto, and send Bishop into the past to save Charles Xavier. During the fight, Sugar Man left Colossus' boot and entered the M'Kraan Crystal. Suger-Man was transported to Earth-616, twenty years in the past. The events above in Earth-295 and we now look at the events in Earth 616. 

Sugar Man mostly operated in secret, relocating to Genosha where he provided Genegineer with the Infinite technology and ability to create the mutant slave population that the Magistrates of Genosha would rule over. In modern times, when the mutant team Excalibur was investigating the first Mutate slave of Genosha, they almost learned the secret of the Sugar Man, however, Sugar Man activated a device that killed the Mutate before his involvement in Genosha's history could be revealed. When Excalibur continued to search for the secret history of Genosha, Sugar Man prevented them from finding out by destroying a master computer that held the truth. Detecting that X-Man, another refugee from Earth-295 was active in this reality Sugar Man would send his agent Rex to eliminate him in order to maintain his anonymity. However, Sugar Man's first attempt to assassinate Nate was interrupted by Selene, much to his frustration. Sugar Man next sought to capture this reality's Alex Summers, using Scarlet McKenzie as his operative; however, she too failed to do so, and he gave up on this endeavor. When Nate Gray's Earth-616 counterpart Cable arrived in Genosha, getting involved in the conflict, Sugar Man incorrectly believed him to be X-Man and decided to finally reveal himself to the world after twenty years of secrecy. However, tracking Cable down, Sugar Man realized he had made a mistake and began to believe that someone was going to take away his secret rule of Genosha when Cable discovered his lab. Sugar Man activated the self-destruct mechanism in his lab, and as the others were busy with trying to deactivate the bomb, Sugar Man captured Phillip Moreau for his own purposes; however, his plans for Phillip remained a mystery, as the database was destroyed. Having a near brush with this reality's Mr. Sinister in Genosha, Sugar Man worked together with the Dark Beast, yet another refugee from Earth-295, in continuing to keep their existence secret, as Sinister learning of their presence in this reality using his techniques would work against their own interests. They targeted Bishop, who retained memories from his counterpart who helped bring about the downfall of their reality. Using the Dark Beast's operative Fatale in an attempt to slay Bishop failed and the two refugees parted company. Returning to Genosha, Sugar Man attempted to return to Earth-295, utilizing a hyperdimensional device that would allow him to travel back to Earth-295's past. He succeeded and began resuming his experimentation on a super-virus that he hoped to use to bring back to Earth-616 to wipe out humanity. Unfortunately, Nate Grey followed him into the past and with the help of Magneto and Forge thwarted Sugar Man's plot and sent him back to present day Earth-616.[1] Back in that reality, Sugar Man and the other refugees from Earth-295 were targeted by the Shi'ar Empire who saw the fact that Holocaust having a shard of the M'Kraan Crystal embedded in him as sacrilege. Sugar Man disappeared for a time, resurfacing in Genosha again following its decimation at the hands of Cassandra Nova, clashing with those who were snooping around his old labs and archives. In a battle against Karima Shapandar, Shapandar seemingly beat Sugar Man to death with a pipe. 

Sugar Man survived again and he was one of the mutants who retained his mutant powers following M-Day. When the Beast sought the aid of those who had skills in genetics to help saved the endangered mutant race, he asked the Sugar Man for aid. Sugar Man declined to help, telling the Beast that he couldn't afford the cost of his services (Douche move!).

Sugar Man next resurfaced back in Earth-295 under the service of the new Apocalypse, Weapon Omega. Under Weapon Omega's guidance, Sugar Man and Dark Beast used the energies of a Celestial Life Seed to resurrect deceased Alpha mutants who were then brainwashed and put into Weapon Omega's service. Their operation was interrupted by the human resistance, who sabotaged several of the resurrections, destroyed the lab, and kidnapped Sugar Man. The Human Resistance handed Sugar Man over to Penance in exchange for her co-operation. Penance planned to reform Sugar Man and utilize his science in her reformation of society.

As the final Incursion grew near, Magneto sought out the Sugar Man for his expertise in mutant genetics in hopes of discovering a way to amplify his powers beyond the effects of Mutant Growth Hormone. After Sugar Man handed over his data on mobile power amplifiers, Magneto impaled him with multiple pieces of metal, and left him for dead, telling Briar that he was a blight on mutantkind.

Having somehow survived his encounter with Magneto, Sugar Man genetically engineered six hundred mutant embryos in the wake of the M-Pox to send them years into the future, where it would be safe as the Terrigen Mist(causer of the M-Pox) would have dissipated. They would eventually grow into the next generation of mutants and Sugar Man would become their master. However, the X-Men discovered his plans and thwarted them.

When Bishop's time anomaly detector went off, it directed him to Dark Beast's safehouse in Hunts Point; however, both Dark Beast and an intruder had already escaped. Bishop followed the trail, and it leads him to the Sugar Man's safehouse in Long Island City, where the intruder shot Bishop in the back, which rendered him unconscious. When Bishop awoke, he discovered Sugar Man's remains.

Significance

Even from his beginnings, it was clear this monster was something of pure satanic-like creation. Reason for bringing up several times how he looks like something you see when you have sleep paralysis, he is overall something strange to find in the Marvel Franchise. Yes, we have villains like Dormammu and Shuma-Gorath but, when you see the evil intent of a volatile creature, you can't help being frightened a bit. So Thank You, Bishop.

JUBILATION LEE --- a.k.a. JUBILEE --- OPEN!

“When I was with the X-Men, Professor Xavier taught us the only thing worse than failing is not even trying.”

Jubilation Lee, Jubilee to her friends, was just chilling at the mall one day, minding her own business, when mall security decided they didn’t want her hanging around and loitering. A chase started and the stress of it caused Jubilee’s mutant power to be triggered. She was able to escape the security guards by producing blinding, brightly coloured flashes, similar to fireworks. A member of the X-Men, Ororo Munroe, happened to be at the mall when all of this was happening and managed to track Jubilee down afterwards. Ororo offered to take Jubilee to the school she worked at so Jubliee could train her powers. Jubilee, an orphan with nowhere else to go, accepted.

Jubilee became one of the more popular students at the school, often welcoming in new students and showing them the ropes. She also managed to form close bonds with some of the older X-Men, especially Wolverine, and was often depended on to brighten people’s days after tough times. Through her father-daughter type relationship with Wolverine, Jubilee became proficient in various forms of martial arts and she often joked that she was Wolverine’s unofficial side-kick.

Over time Jubilee established herself as a member of the X-Men although she did not serve on as many missions as some of the others. She usually focused more on her school work than saving the day, but made it clear that she was determined to be a full time member of the team once she graduated from school.

When she recently graduated school, the Sokovia Accords were being applied to all super-powered beings and the X-Men’s activities were extremely limited as a result. Jubilee was called on by Wolverine to do something she should keep secret from the others, including her closest friends like Kitty Pryde and Illyana Rasputina: help the former Captain America, Steve Rogers, and his team when they return to US soil.

Abilities:
