What is a reasonable time to spend on an illustration..? How long do you guys take?

#im curious ... also of how many of you make drawings ! ^w^ #but im doing a simple character drawing no background and ive logged 4 hours and like. it doesnt even look halfway done dhdhdh #like at what point is it not worth it anymore..dhshs #i think im a very slow worker but i didnt realize just how slow before using procreate since i can see how long ive had the canvas open for #i used to feel so bad for commissioners cause id take sooooo long and now im like. okay i just work ultra slow apparently #im also the type to get hung up on the smallest little section that doesnt even matter once you zoom out fhsjsjsj #but yeah im curious !! #i guess part of being a professional is learning how to make quality work in as little time as possible #i should set timers and force myself to stop after maybe.. #also im talking digitql here since traditional media usually relies on how long it takes for the medium to dry and set and all that.. #though im still curious abt that too! ♡
