So dope, I have a last minute appointment at 10 am tomorrow for financial aid for hospital charity and they are literally making me give them last year's taxes (which they already have on file since it was February when I applied the first time, but guess we'll do that again) and they want me to apparently do this year's taxes today to prove I'm still poor enough to get the 6 months of aid they're going to give me. I fucking hate this country. Poor people should not have to fight so hard to get help, and this country should not take pride in the growing poverty line. I literally do not qualify for food stamps ONLY because I still live with my family and their income pushes the "household income" over the minimum, even though their income has nothing to do with me. The American government forces people on the poverty line to pay for other people rather than actually provide financial aid to people that need it. Social services literally threatened to report me for fraud when I applied for food stamps and I hadn't even done anything.
