Design process under here (whole lot of yapping)

General thoughts: Ive given them in my previous design sheet (you can find it in my blog)(tldr: designs match characters but still childish, 8-12 years old). Only thing different here, is that these eggs were eggs who I had less of a clear idea of what I wanted to do with them (though I still really liked where I ended up!!)

Empanada: Didnt want to go for the full sweet lolita route, mostly because I thought it'd take away the "little kidness" of it all, but something that still resembles the aesthetic. She's wearing "carneirinhos" (idk the name in english) which is very cute little girl to me, and shes also a demon! Her tail resembles a frying pan!! Though I might change her fringe (it was supposed to be baby hairs but now that I think about it, her type of hair probably wouldnt have them) and put some argyle pattern in her sweater vest. I just forgor💀 to do that...I also wish I had made her shorter, but unfortunetely I drew this before the eggs did the height check (YES ITS BEEN THAT LONG).

Sunny: My beautiful baby girl. She means the world to me. I love this minecraft egg with all my heart. Shes wearing Light up sketchers and some fairy wings like Pomme, and shes actually wearing a swimsuit, she just put a tutu over it. The diamonds they're always holding are rings, they have a "terere" in their hair (idk name in english😭😭) and the beads were inspired by an artist on twt (@\BLUETOMATOSODA). Also if you are wondering why her hair looks like tentacles, its because I had originally made it puffy, but changed my mind after doing the lineart, so i had to get creative with me covering it up. Just pretend she has a fan, shes a star after all!

Pepito: Basically, he is very smoll. Chiquito even. He has strawberry hair and MASSIVE glasses that take up his entire face. Hes wearing a swimsuit aswell (dont ask how it works idk either), and has floaties since he cant swim. Hes got crocs, since flip flops hurt his toes, with a spider man charm on them! Also hes got a sunhat, mostly cause I wanted some other accessorie but didnt want to go with gas mask since it'd kinda kill the whole swimming vibe (since his model is wearing a swimsuit). sorry if its not too accurate to his character. Side note: Him, Em and Sunny all have freckles! Him and Sunny all over their bodies while Em just has on her cheeks.

Leo: Cute sporty vibe, love her shorty spiky hair. Wanted to try to make her face spiky aswell, for the whole shark dad thing. Shes got a necklace with a shark tooth (I guess she got it from Foolish??). He changes tshirts randomly, and opens and closes his attack on titan hoodie depending on the tshirt's expression (basically my version of Leo changing her player heads constantly). His trainers have dragon wings and also: whealies!!

Dapper: Im gonna be honest: did not expect to like his design THIS much. The colouring really elevated, with the long blue hair (the same colour as the ghosties!). Wanted to make them, y'know, dapper, so I had to sacrifice some of the "little kid vibes" unfortunetely, but I think it fits her still. The hat has part of the helmet that they used to wear a lot, demon horn to match Pomme, and a suit that is VERY inspired by Death the Kid from Soul Eater (very fitting for a reaper in training imo). Might be my favourite design!

Ramon: Jesus fuck you'd think designing your fav egg would be easy BUT NO. I struggled long and hard. Again, he doesnt have that much "little kid" vibe whatever man😭😭 Im just happy that I even managed to make SOMETHING. Hes got Create googles, his meathead is a massive hat that completely hides his hair. Very simple, very Ramon, though I will probably end up making a version with an ugly sweater just like he likes instead😔. I still like it but. man...

because of ayano's survival it's evident kenjirou is posessed so ayano+mekatrio move out immediately and are in actual hiding from him. that's why they're at undisclosed location. seto brings mary with them. so ayano's like ok, saeru wants all the snakes together, they're all gonna gather anyway it's better to have them all in one place and have eyes on them. so she starts the gathering process herself. in this saeru is extremely just Out There cartoonishly taking over the city style i told you this is based on phineas and ferb. i told you. btw the joke is that it's insanely over the top. i just find it episodic and joyful.

also ayano's cold to shintaro because she can't afford to have her feelings for him distract her, she has no right to normal teenage girl feelings like a CRUSH. but shintaro still believes kano as ayano saying IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT was the real ayano which matches with her new behaviour towards him so he's extremely pathetic about it. he's with her through her entire recovery and becomes her right hand man which the trio HAAATE bc ayano doesn't let them do anything but shintaro can always come<3 their missions go from buying groceries to saving haruka and takane from the evil lab to kidnapping hibiya and hiyori. shit like that.

they get hibiya and hiyori and it's their BIGGEST PRIORITY to protect them because they're saeru's next target and if they can avoid having all snakes out it's by making sure these 2 stay alive. erm they don't wanna be there though. it's dark in here and you're all weird as hell. momo is tasked with babysitting them. she's not happy about it.

takane is the medic in the same way barbers used to be surgeons in the middle age which means everyone tries really hard not to get hurt so they don't have to go to her. also saeru's whole Experiments on haruka and takane thing is a lot more evil and ermmm she has one less leg and she's permanently connected to a reactor thing of sorts so she's also the team's tech! woohoo!! it's unknown whether she got opening eyes or not because she has no idea how to activate it which makes ayano rly frustrated. same goes for haruka who has not woken up since aug 15. which is the main reason takane started watching youtube tutorials on medicine. get you a girl who will take care of you if you're in a coma and there is no access to a hospital.

Im really so glad that Alastor is actually protecting the hotel and all people in it, hes probably doing it just because he have no choice, but i really hope that he do care about Charlie n everyone else. Also their fighting outfits is really cool. AND THE ANIMATIONS WHEN HE TOOK HIS DEMON FORM WAS SOOOO COOL, IT WAS LIKE IN 3D (maybe it actually was in 3d idk-)

Okay yknow.. When Adam blasted (idk if thats a correct word for that) at Alastor n broke his michrophone and Als voice became so clear, like, without any radio effects, I actually thought that he lost all his abilities, cuz Adam is clearly stronger than Al, and i got so scared becuz that would mean that he wont be able to protect the hotel anymore and maybe even die... But it didnt happen so its all good!!

Hi! So sorry to bother but could I get something for the puppeteer, in in his story he dated emmra but once he Is a ghost...it's kind of unclear?? I HOPE THAT MAKES SENDE haha. But could I get something that's like..."other woman" vibes. Like he has his s/o but Emmras feeling not to happy for him

a/n: the 'ricky when i catch you ricky' audio is me at the puppeteer. i've been thinking about this since the moment i saw this in my inbox.

emra is the other woman. (the puppeteer x gn!reader)

warnings: emra refers to the puppeteer as jonathan, this is in her pov btw, more of a small character study on emra than anything else im sorry, it's not cheating because they aren't together anymore but it still hurts, emra and the reader form a platonic bond because she deserves it okay, emra injures herself, monophobia.

In the beginning, when she still loved him, Emra was certainly upset that Jonathan was interested in someone other than her. She was so devoted to him as both a proxy and a lover, so why was he messing around with someone else?

She would get saddened just at the mention of your name because she knew that Jonathan no longer held the love he used to have for her. She wanted to be happy for him, and she put on the facade that she was, but how could she be? She no longer had a heart, but it still ached.

He's dating you, and yet he still uses Emra's love for him against her. She does whatever he demands because she loves him. She needs him to know that she loves him.

But as time went on, Emra came to realize that the Jonathan she loved was dead and gone. The man before her was The Puppeteer. A vile, evil being who will stop at nothing to torment the lives of innocent people.

She grew to despise him. In his eyes, she was still a devoted doll for him to use whenever he so needed. He thought she still harbored feelings of love a devotion, but there was nothing there except for hatred.

A part of her wanted to despise you as well, but she knew it wasn't your fault. If anything, you're as much of a toy to him as she is. She knows that your life is in danger now that you're with Jonathan. You're sweet to her, and you're sweet to Zachary. She's grown to care about you. She would hate for something to happen to you.

Whenever she's alone with you, she always tries to hint that you should run while you can. She can mimic your appearance while you get as far away as possible, she'll be fine. Jonathan would never kill her fully. She is his masterpiece.

She and Zachary will never be able to escape him. They're in too deep to leave now. But you? You still have a chance. You should take it, and soon.

Emra hurt herself. Emra was alone, and she had accidentally hurt herself while practicing an old dance routine. She could only stare blankly at the broken pieces of porcelain on the floor. She's lucky that it was only her fingers that had broken off when she hit the floor.

She was alone. Jonathan wasn't here. He never was, not anymore. Zachary was off spending time with Rosemary, so he wasn't around to patch her up either. She could try doing it herself, but Jonathan told her to never fix herself up because it would only make things worse.

So, she just sat on the stage of the theatre, staring down at the little pieces of her broken fingers. She doesn't know when Jonathan will visit her again, so she can only hope that Zachary comes back soon.

She looked up from the broken pieces of porcelain when she saw a shadow looming over her. She meets your gaze, and she's a bit surprised to see you. She looks around momentarily, searching for Jonathan only to see he wasn't around.

"Where's Jona--" She pauses, cutting herself off before quietly continuing, "Where's the Puppeteer?" She questions. It was rather rare to see you without him lurking around nearby.

"Hm? Oh, he's off with a new..." Whatever words you intended on saying died in your throat as you kneeled down to the ground and carefully began picking up the pieces of broken porcelain. It was clear that you still weren't used to dating a killer, not yet willing to verbalize that he was off torturing some innocent soul.

"Ah..." She watches you for a moment, expression unable to change even though she feels confused, "What... are you doing here then?"

"Well, I thought I'd come and pay you a visit since everyone else is so busy." You casually explain, picking up the last bits of porcelain before standing up and offering your free hand to Emra, "Besides, I was feeling... lonely." You add, helping Emra to her feet when she accepts your hand.

She had expected you to pull away from her after that, but instead you just gently squeezed her hand and guided her off the stage. She just silently stared at the back of your head as you guided her through the Puppeteer's Theatre.

She wasn't paying much attention to wherever you were taking her, too caught up in the fact that she wasn't alone anymore to really give a damn about anything else.

Emra only really began paying attention to her surroundings when she felt you let go of her hand. For a moment, there was a spike of panic in her chest. Are you leaving too? The panic subsides when she realizes you were just letting go of her hand to pull out a seat for her.

That's when she also realized that you had brought her to Jonathan's workshop. It's where he always took her whenever he needed to fix a chip or a crack. Emra couldn't help but feel dread building up in her as she thought about how he might react when he saw that three of her fingers had broken off.

Even if they were no longer in love, Emra is his masterpiece.

She silently watched as you moved around the room, gathering what seemed to be glue and tweezers, along with other things that she normally saw Jonathan use whenever he would fix up a crack or chip.

"What are you doing?" She asked, even though the answer was obvious.

"Well, Puppeteer isn't here, and who knows when he'll come back, so... I'm gonna make a temporary fix for your fingers until then, okay? It probably feels uncomfortable without them, right?" Your response is so casual as you sit down at the desk inside the room, already beginning your process of carefully reconstructing the pieces of porcelain.

Emra couldn't lie to you and tell you that she wasn't feeling pain because she was. It hurt more than anything she's ever felt before, and she can't even show it in her expression. She just sat there silently as she watched you work, watching how you carefully inspected each piece to make sure they lined up correctly before gluing them together. She watched as you held the pieces together as you waited for the glue to dry before you moved on to the next set of pieces.

You were so careful with everything, and you even happily talked to Emra while you worked. You told her about your everyday life and told her about all the interesting things you've learned recently. Jonathan was always silent when he fixed her. She liked having that silence filled. It was... nice.

To be honest, she thought you would've hated her. I mean, she's Jonathan's ex. She was still in love with him when she first met you, and she still pretends to be in love with him because it's all she knows how to do now. She certainly wasn't your biggest fan in the beginning, if we're being honest here.

You treated her with so much kindness that it made her feel bad for ever wanting to hate you.

"Why are you dating Jona--The Puppeteer?" She suddenly asks. The question even caught her off guard. She saw you pause, glancing up at her before returning your focus to the pieces of porcelain you were gluing together, "I'm sorry. That was a rude thing to ask." She quickly apologized.

"I love him." You respond.

"Pardon?"

You let out a soft sigh, motioning for Emra's hand. She holds it out for you, and you place the first finger back in its spot, holding it in place while you wait for the glue to dry. You didn't seem upset with her question, which calmed her nerves a bit.

"I'm dating him because I love him." And you say it like it's the easiest thing ever. And... maybe it is.

"Ah..." She stares down at her hand, contemplating your words. There were so many things she wanted to say in response.

You shouldn't.

You need to leave him.

He'll only hurt you like he hurt me.

Escape while you still can.

I don't want you getting hurt.

But all those words refused to come out. Instead, all she could say in response was, "He is easy to love, isn't he?"

And silence falls between the two of you. It doesn't last for long, because once you place the next finger on her, you're recounting a happy memory from your childhood with the smallest smile on your face.

Once all three fingers were placed back on her, you brought her back to the stage of the theatre and the two of you just sat together while you continued your conversation. It wasn't until Zachary came back that you finally left, waving Emra goodbye as you promised to stop by again soon to continue where you left off.

And late into the night, the Puppeteer would stop by to check up on Emra after he learns of her... injuries. He had brought her back to his workshop to inspect the work you had done earlier that day, carefully studying her hand with a look of genuine awe on his expression.

You had done such a good job at repairing Emra's injuries that he only had to make a few minute fixes himself. It was clear in his expression that he was proud of you, and that just... made Emra worry.

"You're in love with them, aren't you?" This time, she wasn't caught off guard by her own question. She meant to ask it. The Puppeteer paused his inspection, his glowing eyes snapping up to meet her own.

He likes to think that he can hide his 'weak' emotions pretty well, but Emra has known him for years now. She knows the signs; she knows how to read him better than anyone else.

She doesn't miss the way his lips always twitch upwards whenever you're around. She doesn't miss the look of genuine content on his face whenever he's with you. She certainly doesn't miss the way his gaze always seemed to linger on you.

"Don't speak such nonsense." Is his response. That was enough of an answer for her.

The Puppeteer was in love with you. It was obvious.

He sends her off shortly after, and Emra is alone once more. She had much to think about.

Mario’s family was super freaked out at first but accepted it cause of how much it helped Mario. Like maybe he was sickly as a baby but this odd creature who looks like him is helping. Doctors told him he was gonna die. Now it’s a miracle. So they just raise Luigi too. Well guarded family secret. Maybe thats why Mario is so protective of his brother. Their mother believes Luigi an angel sent to save her lil baby boy. Their father thinks him a demon who will one day eat their little boy. Why else would it be helping if not for it’s next meal he claims. Luigi has no idea why he was sent here. Never a good enough reason for their father. Maybe their mother and Mario are the only two who really accept Luigi, rest of family share the fathers pov.

Anyway ever so slowly Luigi gets some pep back in his step. Though hes clearly more reserved. The kids (yes plural) helped. But Bowser can see the longing in Luigi’s eyes. The way the man just looks to the sky like an old friend. They had just started really getting along too. But if you love something set it free right? So he does. And Luigi doesn’t even hesitate. The moment he is uncollared (yea baby thats last to go lmao) and outside. The moment Bowser tells him to go he just takes off. As fast has those beautiful wings can take him. Can I get an F in the chat for Bowser and his broken heart.

Luigi is frantic to see how his brother is. Consumed with worry almost his whole stay in Bowsers castle. He could feel their link, their bond, and knew his brother needed him. Of course once he reaches Mario and grasps his hand Mario wakes up. Awww brotherly love (and nothing else ya goobers) is a magical sight. Literally Luigi is glowing and has wings. Neat says princess Peach.

Maybe once he is sure his brother is oi he can feel love sick about Bowser. And misses the kids. Now it’s Mario’s turn to see the longing look in Luigi’s eyes. Mario’s turn ti tell Luigi it’s ok to just go. Though he better tell his brother whats going on when he gets back. But maybe since im such a kind god ill make it painful for Luigi to show his wings. Like painful when they sprout. So he just walks to Bowsers castle. Who is probably smad. Lmao hes sad and mad. Though word filtered in of Mario being in a coma and he figured thats why Luigi needed to go. Anyway hes probably relieved to see Luigi back. So relieved he can feel mad about not even getting a goodbye. Oopsies. But they will make it. Im sure of it.

hi! so i've recently finished the 100 very late i know and ahh! i've gotten to love bob and eliza as well after watching interviews of them im so happy theyre married they look so in love (i say this like i didnt spend the last 3 weeks of my life obsessing over them LMAO) and i was rly surprised to see that they kept denying hating the romantic bellarke agenda? especially in the earlier seasons, but it was SO obvious, to me at least, that they were the main ship of the show... i scoured the internet for reasons why but all i could get was that the fandom hates jroth and the fandom would like to bury jroth alive SDJHFDSHJ but yeah! still rly curious and ik you were actively in the fandom during the time so if you could just briefly explain i would be vvvvv grateful

Okay... I'm gonna try and give a bit of a run down of the history of beliza and bellarke and jroth and clexa and how that all influenced things. Keep in mind I wasn't in the fandom from the start so the beginning is second hand recounts.

Okay so from the start bellarke was obviously intended, they were canon in the books but clearly with the Finn thing and everything else they were going for a more slow burn kinda vibe which was good obviously. Now this is where the bellarke denial started, but it was more casual there. Like a playfull not trying to give away the slow burn or surprise (this is very typical for slow burn ships and that's why I love the Pates for how they are handling jiara). So all was well in the house.

At this point Bob and Eliza were really good friends so that wasn't a problem. At one point apparently Devon kinda let it slip that they were actually in a fwb kinda situation at some point during the early season. I never saw first hand proof of this but it was a known fact amongst the fandom and I find likely given where they ended up.

Now, I'm not 100% on the order of event here but the following happened over s2/s3. Two major things that changed the fate and reception of bellarke forever.

The first being clexa. Now, from a story telling pov clexa was never going to last and Lexa's fate was always sealed. But I'm not going to go too much into that whole thing. But obviously there was alot of hype around Lexa and that ship. Which Jason loved, that man is driven by ego and having thousands of people up his ass fuel him. So he shifted his focus to them, knowing full well he was going to kill Lexa. And then when the backlash hit he kept pandering to them - putting little Lexa mentions in to keep the viewer ship, to keep people talking about his show. And by result of this the bellarke denial came in strong and their romantic development or story like was put on hold.

Now meanwhile it seems beliza had a falling out, Bob started dating his long term gf Aryn and they would not attend cons together. Also time to double down on the bellarke denial. Only this time it was legit (not that bellarke wasn't happening or intended, but they didn't like it and didn't want it to happen) we got the infamous 'bellake shit' quote from Eliza, which she insisted she actually said 'ship', even tweeted it (has since then once happily married admitted that she said shit lol) And yeah while we were still getting the on screen hints it seemed no one was rooting for it personally.

Then. The tide turns. Bob and Aryn has broken up. And we hear an announcement. Bob and Eliza are going to a con together?? Wait. what? And this con. Let me tell you. Changed the world. They were best friends again. Now, I am not an irl people shipper, there have been very few that I have seen and speculated before they were together and these two were one. I can't remember exactly why but there was something in the air before that and I was sus. And then there were a few things, like Eliza was saying how her favourite song was Ophelia and then she turns to Bob and says 'you must be so sick of hearing it i play it so much' and I was hmm because are they spending that much time together? Bob was wearing a bunch of mardigras necklaces and when Eliza said she wanted one and a fan overheard bob saying to her something 'you'll have to give me something later for one' and then after break Eliza had some ??? Which people freaked out about but not enough in my opinion. And then the fact that (actually this might have been a later con my timeline is messy its been a while) Eliza was wearing an engagement ring and straight up told people she was engaged when they asked. People assumed it was to the guy who play mccrery because there was rumours of them dating but they hadn't been seen together in ages.

And then most importantly they were now pro-bellarke. Talking excitedly about the scenes. Saying themselves are sometimes confused because the script will saying something like 'bellamy looks at her lovingly.' but then Jroth continues to deny things. they weren't to the level of it now but they were for sure making it clear that jroth was gaslighting a fandom lol.

Anyway moving on to one quite morning, I hadn't touch social media all morning as it did laundry and when I finally take a break the fandom is imploding - thankfully I had only missed it by like 15minutes. But Bob and Eliza has both tweeted that they had gotten married with a pic of their hands on their wedding day. Now I instantly believed it - oh yeah it's all coming together. But there was all this shock because it seemingly came out of no where. People thought they had been hacked, and then other cast would congratulate them and then they were hacked. Certain people were saying its a cover because Eliza and Alycia actually got married, and other were saying Bob and Eliza were homophobic for getting married during pride month. But at the end of the day it was all true, there were married and it was happily ever after.

But for some reason this seemed to piss off JRoth and he seemed to get so much worse. At one point during the filming of season 7 i think (i get confused about later seasons it could have been 6 or 8) Bob and Jason unfollowed each other and we though it was hilarious until we realised what it could have meant. Recently beliza revealed that the bellarke get together was actually written, in a place that so many people has speculated and it would have made sense but at the last minute it was taken out.

It seemed like Jason didn't like the beliza was together, he was having more and more issues with Bob and Jason just didn't do bellarke out of spite. Did that stupid murder out of spite and gave a pandering ending for clexas out of spite.

Once the show was over beliza have been very open about how bellarke was always planned from the beginning and they don't understand why it never happened.

Any way I've been out of it for a while so I'm a bit foggy on the detail these days but that's the guts of it. Anyone is free to add

I love (read: am banging my head against a wall) that John thinks what happened last ep counts as having hit the Akrida "pretty hard". It's kinda laughable tbh. The Akrida have already shown extrmely adept at infiltration (basically their whole thing) as well as the whole swarm of locust vibes associated. What i mean by this is, they have no clue how many Akrida there are or where and the dozen or so Samuel got rid of could easily be such an expendable number. But John assumes they weren't... why? Based on what? I also highkey love that Carlos just fully skirts addressing John's remark here and instead refocuses on the case du jour while Lata and Mary also say nothing. It's just funny to me.

Ughh Dean's talking about dreams and sacrifices, just rip my heart out why dont u? Tho I will highlight his words about gaining more than u lose, Ive always appreciated the fact that Dean prefers to focus on what he has if possible. And it's not like he doesn't have a plethora of regrets, but he has reached a point by like.. season 11/12 I'd say where he became content with himself enough not to wish it different. I also deeply love the acknowledgement of said sacrifices made, it's not this empty optimistic view of things, shit has been bad before, but that doesn't negate or dimish the good that you've also gotten/found.

Lata's absolute judgement and unimpresed reaction to what Carlos has just called a "cathedral" give me life. This ep I think is one where we really start to see some more contrast in Lata. Because up until now, she's certainly been there, has def had complexity, but now we're not just seeing her be excited about knowledge, but rather learn some of the minutiae of her personality. Like how she is not easily impressed and also her niche interests and Carlos' dont match. We've seen Carlos be interested in her hobbies before, begrudgingly and with vague horrified expressions, but intrigued nonetheless. The opposite, we can now see for sure, does not apply in reverse for Lata. She genuinely doesn't seem to give a shit about the supposed prestige of the Knave and is more than happy to fall back to what she enjoys.

I adore the bartender. He is my fav and I am endlessly mad he dies. I loved that man and his "leave me.tf alone kid" vibes.

Carlos not wanting Lata to know about Rivers Gemini is soo funny. And 100% reminds me of Dean and how he prefers to hide his interests so he isn't made fun of/keeps appearences. And this won't be the only Carloa Dean parallel this ep. Hell, Dean's intro words apply most to Carlos this ep as is.

I love the fact that Mary and John actually TALK about their relationship and boundaries and the kiss. The emotional maturity is astounding tbh.

Jericho immediately making his excuses for why he hadn't seen Brock when he died gave me apprehension when I 1st watched this ep live, but now it's very obvious he was preemptively giving his alibi. It's honestly subtly done especially when contrasted to how obvious Loki/Gabe are. Glorious mustache on him btw.

Carlos has a very... interesting view on hunting. Because on the one hand, it did kinda kill their dream of being a musician, but they alao very much approach hunting with a lot of enthusiasm and genuinely seem to enjoy it. Again, the Dean vibes are off the charts with this one. I love Lata for adressing and checking in with Carlos as well, just making sure they're ok.

The roadie/Loki/Gabe is also pretty obvious in hindsight. It makes little sense to have this dude just go fuck off but oh no actually lemme tell u exactly what u need.

Oh no, Millie and Samuel. I am not ready for this. They are so similar and so different at the same time. Mainly because I genuinely believe Millie by this point has had the chance to process part of her issues whereas Samuel very much so is ... Samuel. And you can see this plainly for both of them. They are similiar, they butt heads because of it, but Millie has spent all this episode giving both John and Mary the space they need to work their shit out, without making any of her usual comments except for the tea Ada gave Samuel and even then she's quick to retract her statement when the tea works. Samuel meanwhile spends a good chunk of the episode saying shit that only serves to diminish or undermine.

I do appreciate the confirmation that Samuel knew who the MoL are/were. It makes perfect sense for the Campbell's to know considering their hunting legacy. And it's endlessly funny thay both him and Henry (when he met Sam and Dean) put down the other's profession. It's a fun parallel (i hate it). Millie putting him in his place was very very satisfying for me.

I will forever be screaming about Chuck being front and centre in this episode several times. An episode where we have Loki/Gabe and is about music (Chucks already said music is where humanity popped off for him) and on top of that discusses the themes of making up ur life as you want it despite whatever fate decrees (aka hunting means sacrifice and death but Carlos get to perform on the best stage in the area in from.of their friends regardless). Not to mention that I constantly have Chuck saying he likes "front row seats" and "hiding out in plain sight" on a loop in my head. Like of course he'd be keeping an eye out for his faves or would've done so before he was defeated. The timeline's a bit messy here because either this version is no longer the Chuck that Sam and Dean fought and defeated and is essentially the leftover consciousness from this particular world or time happens sorta simultaneoualy? I lean toward the 1st tbh, but then the question still remains of how much does he know. It's very very incriminating that he is in fact there.

And all this to say that I cannot believe that we have Loki alone here. I don't see it, can't. It makes more sense to me to actively mess with the Campbell-Winchester bloodlines via fucking with their friends while giving a speech about playing ur part for Gabe. But then... it ain't like Loki's mythos don't also deal with themes of predestination... soo...

And it's so so obvious that Loki/Gabe is gunning directly for Carlos btw. Like so obvious.

I am starting to think they are actively working together here and are both present and fucking around. He really really hates Lata tho. Like he's gunning for Carlos, but actively scorns Lata. Also also the disappearing Jericho thing... yes Loki could, but we've most seen in with Chuck and Lucifer, so I fully believe that the version that gets Carlos to make a deal is heavily leaning towards Gabe moreso than Loki.

Maggie's books save the day once more. God Maggie could've been a glorious Woman of Letters (to quite Charlie) in another life.

Uuuuuh Samuel seeing how things have changes, yess. Makes sense of course he's the one who's literally been on the outside and not being influenced by the Dean meddling til now so he still relates everything to what used to be true of the people we've been watching. But they aren't the same anymore, shit's changed and they've changed. This is what I've been trying ro highlight as it's been happening these past 8 ep that led us to Samuel confirming it.

Aaaand he's pulling a SPN!Mary move of rationalising his being away and distant and working on his own while his kid worries and fights the same fight by saying he's doing it for her...

So Samuel is Spn!Mary and is fueled technically by the guilt of what his choices have wroth his child. And Millie is son!John and is fueled by the grief and rage of having lost her husband to the supernatural and is reflecting it onto on her kid.

But... vitally, both are trying to fix shit and are given the space/time to do so.

I will say the personality has shifted a bit after the bait and switch. The version of Loki/Gabe is now simmering with barely contained anger and is far more serious in his comments. There's more bite to them. I do believe thats more Loki leaning.

"For someone your height, you're very loud" was a helluva projection for Loki/Gabe.

I adore how Carlos breaks the rules here. And it's based in the sacrifice of hunting, but it's not because of it per se. And in doing the selfless thing, impulsively I'd even say, he broke the deal/curse. Ah... the free will of it all.

It's a very interesting arguement that Loki/Gabe gives here about humanity. Could fit either really.

Metal gear mania days 1&2

Game: MGS2

Got started yesterday and cleared the tanker and got past the basic setup of the main game. I’ve played Twin snakes a lot back in the day so I was vvaery familiar with the controls and was able to slide back into that control scheme very easily in MGS2 save for a little trouble converting muscle memory from a game cube controller to a ps3 controller. If you’ve played either you know how good this scheme feels, responsive movement leaning around corners and first person aiming combined with the lovely shoulder button menus makes this a great experience from a gameplay standpoint I’d imagine that at launch the tanker segment was a very engaging playground for learning and testing the new controls while it my case and Im sure others who started with the twin snakes it worked as something of a check list like a pre flight check to makes everything was up and running. The tanker also does very well at setting up plot hooks and intrigue some of which went very different directions than I thought they would as always it makes me happy to hear Snake and Otacon.

(Spoilers below the cut)

I was also happily surprised to hear cam Clarke back at it as liquid snake in the form of an arm ocelot picks up being the funniest guy ever right where he left off after the post credits of twin snakes immediately showing up acting goofy doing gun tricks and turning on his allies before succumbing to the horrible fate of being British even if just for a moment. I don’t have much to say on the shift to Raiden as it was something i knew would happen, hard to keep stuff like that under wraps these days. Something I really did appreciate was just how hard this game attempts to gaslight you into thinking everything’s hunkey dory from raidens initial codename being Snake or Campbell, who I’ll talk more about in a bit repeating the lines about the Soloton radar from the first game, not much to say naritively about the early game as most of the conversation where about using the action button is various wacky ways. The main thing that happened during the first day was mostly me trying to wrap my head around why people seemed to hat raiden so much when this game came out. This guy is hilarious and frankly pretty adorable. One of my favorite things about the first game is how it makes you the player and solid snake the character feel like this expendable grunt even while doing insane shit like rocket jumping to kill a helicopter, something I haven’t seen talked about a lot is just how much of the game is something of mystery story and you ALWAYS feel like your the last to know and that Carries over to this game. At this point my naritive thoughts are gonna blend days 1 and 2 together and I’m not gonna really section things out super hard between them, I think a strength of this game is how that sense of being left in dark carries over but is fundamentally different due to having played the last game. At the beginning of MGS there’s no real hint that this is going to be more complex than it presents itself to you. The vibe early on is one of a cool action game where you go in and do snakes solider man things maybe this is different if you played the OG metal gear but for me I was unaware and that feels intentional by the time you get to the DARPA chief you start unraveling these threads and dont really stop untill the end of the game. MGS2 starts you the player and Raiden at about the same point in terms of knowledge with one key difference. You the player KNOW what really happened on Shadow Moses and raiden does not you start the game knowing that something isn’t right and there are these crossing wires but even after all you did in MGS 1 you still dont know enough. I think having the two man booth really adds to this and Campbell repeating lines from the first game weaves that beautifully to give you the sense that something isn’t quite right before you even really start the story. Those lines put you in the headspace of MGS with this full support team but here at this point you really only have the colonel and Rosemary, who I really like i think her dynamic with Raiden is cute. On the other hand Campbell feels off. I love Paul riding hearing is voice makes me feel as though I’ve consumed a lovely warm stew in an otherwise frigid winter is that warmth that spreads through out your body. I do not feel that here at all. I know he kept secrets in MGS and was pretty shady at the end (though the specifics escape me and I was too spoiler scared to check a wiki) but this feels like a whole different level At the point I’m currently at so much of the initial details have been showned to be incomplete or flat out untrue not to mention aspects of the situation he doesn’t include. The combination of his insistence that you can’t trust pliskin ( who IS solid snake I’m not gonna bother with the bit here even though its really funny) and the at times very aggressive tone with which he interacts with raiden makes it really hard to tell if this is stuff he genuinely doesn’t know or if he knows way more than hell let in on. This is another thing i think works really well in conjunction with the first game.\

In that game Campbell was a solid grounding presence which was used by the game later when even he starts becoming unsure and untrustworthy just how much you don’t know and how little of a grasp is had by the cast on the reality of the situation at shadow Moses. In MGS2 you are armed with that knowledge but are still presented with Campbell as the grounded athoritiative figure this creates a sensation of unsteady ground to the player immediately while providing a lot more incentive to interact with and trust pliskin aside form the fact he’s obviously snake he feels like hes got more of the situation figured out and is much more willing to tell Raiden. Side note these feelings of uncertainty and distrust are defiantly also influenced and reinforced by the tanker incident but I find myself unable to articulate that to the degree I could with stuff from the first game.

The Game is also paced very well even if you’re playing it like a nutcase like I am as you go through more and more of things you were told about the mission prove to just be untrue beyond just its more complicated than we initially thought, like i said I’m not sure if Campbell is traight up lying to me or not but at the point I’m at now I’ve just learned about the patriots and its hard not to notice how much the plan of action Campbell insist upon lines up with what it seems they would want at this time I can’t be sure if cause he works for the military of hes just being fed just the same bad info we are or if theres more to it but I am intrigued

On a final note the antagonist situation is interesting. Dead Cell are, objectively, hilarious. I lost my mind when Fatman in particular roller bladed up with his bomb disposal gear and wine glass to talk about how epic his next YouTube prank was gonna be, Vamp just does increasingly more ridiculous things every time hes on screen, Fortune is cool as fuck and her theme fucking melts. After that it does get a bit confusing as which out of the three between ocelot the patriots and solidus i should focus on and I think that’s intentional. It does feel like being in a room with three people where on of which is going to kill you and the others but you don’t if its going to be all of them or just one and if so which one. It all adds up to give a sense that you can’t stay still or in one place too long you have to keep pace with something to stay alive but figuring out exactly what or who is anything but easy

In conclusion: four stars check it out.

2. David Duchovny or Fox Mulder

This is a little hard to choose from. I love David, he is a very talented man and he essentially gave life to some ofy favoritecharacters, but this time I have to choose Mulder, just because he is my baby girl an I love him.

3. Gillian Anderson or Dana Scully

When it comes to Gillian I have to give her credit when it's due. She is an excellent actress, and I have loved her work for a very long time. She also basically carried the whole show after David left but again, I have to choose Scully. Tbh she has been short off an inspiration to me, she is partly the reason why I decided to go into the career path im currently in, which is realated to criminal justice, you could say I was also a victim to the scully effect lol.

13. Favorite Season(s)? Why?

I'm between season 5 and season 7 for this one.

Season 5 has some of my favorite episodes. Including bad blood, detour, kill switch and although I normally don't like the mythology episodes, the ones in season 5 are not that bad and kinda like them for all the angst and overall drama (also some shippy moments).

With season 7 is less about the quality and more about vibe. Idk how to explain it, for me it fells lighter than the others if only by the shift M and S relationship at the very beginning of the season. Although I don't think the way the decided to finish Samantha's story was the best, at least Mulder got his closure. This season felt at the time like they were preparing us to say goodbye and if they decided to end the show there and get rid of requiem I would have been happy with that.

14. Favorite episode(s)? why?

I mentioned before some of my favorite episodes in the previous answer, but for the shake of choosing one, I'm going to go with the safe choice and say Bad Blood. That episode is just so fun to watch and so meta and also was one of the first episode i ever watched. It was a nice change from the normal motw format, and the changing point of view was extremely entertaining. I personally like how it showed the perception one had over the other (although I think they were exaggerating to get on each other's nerves) and idk, re-watching that episode just makes me happy

15. Favorite MSR moments?

There are tons of MSR moments to choose from but I think that my favorite one has to be the hand holding at the end of field trip. There's no words exchanged, they are not even looking at each other directly, but they almost die and still, their first instinct is to try to reach out to the other, to know they are there and alive and well. It's such a small thing compared to the "my one in five billion" speech or the baseball scene in the unnatural but for me it's the best one.

39. When do you think Mulder and Scully started dating?

I believe the earliest something could have happened is after closure for sure. Amor fati opened season 7 with one of the greatest love confessions I've ever seen without even saying I love you, and the millennium kiss is further proof of how much they want each other. But I don't think they went any further than that until latter in the season. Yes, they where flirting a lot more but they weren't quite ready. Many think that All things was when they finally got thogether but for me was less about that and more about Mulder being the right choice for Scully and her finally accepting him wholeheartedly. I believe they got together somewhere after closure in the middle of season 7 but they were not completely sure what they were (specifically Scully) until after All things.

44. When did you first start watching the x files?

I started watching somewhere around 2011-2012 I think, there was a re-run marathon with the best of the x files on the fox Chanel and I remember the first episode I ever watched being Duane Barry, i was hooked from the beginning.

The funny thing is, that the first x files thing I ever saw was I want to believe, way before I started watching the show. I didn't even know it was based on a show. I didn't connect the dots until much later, Mainly because I originally watched the show with the latinoamerican Spanish dub so the title threw me off a little bit (the Spanish version is something like "The Secret Archives X", also the guys who worked on the dubs and subs where shippers and it shows).

I desperately want Link to be like really actually pissed off that the Fae King has even a piece of the Goddess Blood Essence, especially after how she lost Shei. How dare he desecrate his memory! ...That might be one of the only things keeping her going while this is going on; Shei's memory.

I also think it's really funny that it's the Essence of the Skies that he's got... especially with all these Girahim vibes he's got going on lol.

Here's an angsty thought: how does Shei's sudden absence affect Link? I bet since the Fae King's already trying to make her feel vulnerable, that doent help any... I'd love if she tried to find strength through Shei, or even vice verca.... <3

It'd be funny if Link and/or Stella were made to do menial tasks/chores like mending and tending the fae nobilty hand and foot, just for Link and Stella to pretend to but really they're sabotaging like. seams to fall apart or for dough not to set right or rinsing dishes in dirty dish water... petty stuff like that- stuff that Shei would probably (definitely) teach them. What, he was locked up in a dungeon for five years, they had to give him something to do!
