❁synopsis: Riki loves y/n's creativity. She has been creating her halloween outfit for months and it's stunning, Riki finds it beautiful, but he just loathes the idea of taking her to a party full of hormonal assholes with her wearing something so stunning...

"Babe- why can't we just stay home and watch a scary movie in our comfortable clothes?" Riki asked as he stared at y/n. "Why not?... oh my god do I look bad???" Y/n asked as Riki instantly shook his head "Heck no babe- you look so fucking beautiful. I just.. want to spend more time with you y'know?" he reasoned as the girl pouted. She stared at her reflection in the mirror.

She tried to go with a more siren/mermaid style this year. a short silk dress that she decorated with many iridescent materials, her makeup matching the chrome palette of her outfit, with sequin shells stuck on, hair done accordingly. Her outfit topped off with heels people struggle to even walk in, and jewelry.

"I look so good today... we have to go babe- Halloween parties are the slayest of all parties!" She said with a smile as Riki eyed her one last time before heaving a sigh. She was breath takingly beautiful, and she had that sweet sweet smile he adores with all his heart. How could he reject your offer?. "Fine... get in the car sweetheart" he simply said as he pressed a button on his car keys.

Upon arriving at the party, it was no surprise that most girls were dressed in fairly 'slutty' clothes, all creative one way or another. Almost all couples were matching, for example Devil and angel, which Riki and Y/n would've done way better. Meanwhile, Riki was a vampire, and his sweet girlfriend? a siren. She definitely slayed the look.

At first it was annoying, with all the looks and compliments she kept getting. Then it just got 10 times worse, because of the looks ad compliments she was getting. God he hated it, he hated how unhinged these boys were and how clueless she was. One even had the audacity to ask her out ?! That was his last straw.

"Riki- riki wait- ur gonna make me fall and snap my ankle!" She whimpered as the male stopped. He turned around as he stared directly at Y/n "im sorry... I just can't help it, I know you worked so hard and long on your outfit and god you look fucking gorgeous. If only you fucking knew how pretty you are... but sadly all the wrong people can see your beauty, and it's pissing me off! I hate them staring at you!" Riki finally let out

He was caught off guard when he saw the way she laughed "What you find this funny? Ugh Goddamit babe-" "No no no- honey, no- it's just, you're jealous... you're so cute when you're jealous..." y/n said as Riki rolled his eyes, his arms pulling her into his chest, "You seriously like this?... whatever- lets go home and snuggle... I wanna watch a nice horror movie w you" he said as he rested his forehead against hers

I have come with a mighty need. The need is called: dragon miguel and mermaid reader. I mean hmmmggh? So cute? he a firey dragon, she a pretty lil mermaid? He totes call her his sirenita. Total opposites and kinda a forbidden love? A romeo and juliet thing, minius the tragic death ending. And they always secretly meet in a cave (miguel build it so his sirenita can swim there) they decorated it together and it’s just the best of both, their own little world and happy place. And i can’t help but wonder how do they do the 👀👀👀👀 and omg what if he gets her pregnant and all? Like he was away for a few months to defend his territory and she surprises him with her baby bum and its all dragon nest building and him being protective as f. Also scared because damn? This is a first since the beginning of time. Baby Gabi would totes be the first waterdragon 😂

Can I have your imagination borrowed for a second? Please? HOLY fuck. When I read dragon Miguel only reminded me of that beautiful fan art of him as a dragon I saw on Pinterest ♥️♥️. A bit long if you squint.

Crimson. His hands were covered in little crimson stains that oozed from his side. He was... injured.

Impossible.

A dragon? Like him? The King of Dragons. Foolish. But as much as he wanted to shake the measly pain that pulsated every time he moved forward, to the rocky cannon on the forgotten beach, it remained there, etched and oozing.

The cannons were used as his lair, his home. He collapsed on what seemed to be his bed, a l shaped stone that was a few meters away from a small entrance from the sea. Like a secret entrance.

The splashing as he collapsed alarmed him, red eyes shone in anger as a low growl echoed through. And then, his eyes settled on you. Burning eyes softened in curiosity as he saw dainty fingers peeking behind a stone, your eyes settled on him, watching his every move.

Was he hallucinating? No.

He certainly wasn't because the creature stared at him, more specifically to his wound. You went back on the water, long fish-like tail, shining softly, like if the rainbows had decided to adhere in your scales.

A mermaid?

He believed them extinct. Humans had surely haunted everything they could lay their wretched hands on.

A few moments later, the splashing returned, this time you weren't hiding behind the rock. You were before him, naked torso, wet hair stuck on your back. Hands holding what it seemed to be a moss-like plant within a shell. You offered. He frowned.

Why would he trust her? for all he knew Mermaids were also wretched creatures that lured men to death. But your frown matched his, like you had you just read his thoughts.

"Your blood will only attract other creatures that won't be as kind as I am" You mumbled. His eyes widened slightly. Of course you could speak. His blood dripped on the water and you scrunched your nose, pushing the shell further near him.

"You're welcome" you giggled and went back from where you came.

Ever since that encounter, Miguel would certainly find subtle ways to lure you back to him. He surely wasn't inmune to mermaid beauty, his trust issues however made always to look past your looks, he wanted to find out what your intentions were, why you were always willing to just stare at him, expecting to something to happen, why would you always come back.

"Im just curious as to why I have been forbidden to mingle with the creatures above. You aren't that bad."

You'd smile sweetly at him to look back at the water.

"I gotta go. Will I see you again?"

He'd just nod and you disappeared.

His injury had been long healed. A couple of hours after you had offered the moss actually.

He'd see you again and again, almost every day, a weird sort of fear settled in his chest whenever you didn't show up for more than three days. You had created this sort of routine where you would just show up, staring at eachother until one of you, (you mostly of the time) asked for questions.

What was up there on land? Was there a lot of humans? Who was he? Why was he hiding? Patiently he'd explain through short answers just to see the glint in your eyes at every word that came from his mouth.

Three days had passed, no sign from you, until you'd appear again, cuts and wounds covering your body, sweet scented blood oozed from your cuts, too tired to remain conscious.

Humans. They had tried to hunt you.

He'd pick you up and put you to safety, your torso resting in the sand. A few droplets of his blood wetted your lips. You'd be fine when he'd return. He turned on his back, rage boiling as the beast within him roared to be set free. He flew away with a new target on sight. The docks.

You were his adoration. Despite the world trying to hurt you, you remained kind, ever sweet and curious. You were his Sirenita.

He'd burn entire ships for you. The world itself if you asked him nicely enough. Dragon's nature prevented him to share with others. Not that he wanted to share you with anyone else anyway. It was only you and him.

The first kiss held so much passion, sweetness and longing. You couldn't lay in his lap without feeling dizzy by the lack of water after a few minutes. A trouble that seemed a big impediment to completely have you for himself.

He disappeared with the promise of coming back.

Was he?

You didn't know but hope set in your heart. He had never broken a promise so far.

Upon his return he gave you a small potion jar, you drank it after he explained what would it do. Bit by bit fins and scales were shedded from you, melding into humanoid like features, only to finally reveal supple and unmarred human legs and feet.

You were now also part human. He kissed you, cradling your wobbly body on his strong arms.

----

You mated almost every night, the once hidden cannon on the beach, forgotten, as he had taken you to his real home. Hidden away in the mountains, but close enough to the sea to sate your need of swimming and dive. You could shape-shift at will. But preferred to be with him, nesting in his arms.

You'd notice your belly expanding and getting rounder by each month. He had noticed too. The urge to devour and crush anyone who trespassed in his home had only turned stronger, making his dragon form to become more vicious to the outside, yet careful to not being discovered.

Miguel would feed you, take care of you until a baby was born. It was a girl.

He was The Dragon King. And now a father.

A clueless one if you might add.

He'd flinch when tiny baby arms would flail to take a hold of him. He'd growl whenever said baby wailed at night, interrupting his rough mating with you. Strangely enough, his daughter only quieted down when he held her or you nursed her.

He'd marvel with pride as his daughter swum through the waters, faster than a ship could ever do. But of course the three would remain hidden from the world. Away from prying and wretched hands that could hurt you.

You both were his treasure. The things he held dear the most.

i have a massive Human au which i still dont have a name for yet smh- which is very crime, mystery and horror related, the romance comes as a thing that happens during the story- which has a lot of ships that yall probably have seen @keebokuun draw some of uwu basically Uzi is a semi-handicapped girl in the future year of 2371- who in searching for the mystery behind her mothers death, gets stuck in a story way bigger than herself.

i have an Unsolver au in which the solver is just simply a super advanced AI with a sense of indeviduality and the horrors basically just dont happen. Cyn gets to grow as a host, Tessa becomes the head of the mechanical maintanance devision in JCJ, and the disassembler drones are transformed willingly without any gore or beheading lmao. the purpose and plot of the story is something different from the original show, but they eventually do meet Uzi and the others later. its just that the story is a bit extra sunshine and rainbows just cuz i want the characters to have a good ending 😭

Theres the Exorsists au which i posted about a while back :"3 - though this and the Unsolver au are pretty recent and im not sure where to go with them yet, or if i ever will lol but they are fun to think about uwu

So, I love all of your OCs so far! I’ve been wondering: how would the yanderes feel about a darling with a young kid? (To make it simple, other parent isn’t in the picture, aside from maybe sending money.) Please, thank you, and have good day!

i decided to answer this for all of my yandere ocs bc im a sucker for found family/single parent tropes 🫶 cw! spoilers for future ocs + mentions of child neglect

🚼 the yanderes x single parent darling

⛪️ | abraham would be a bit surprised, to say the least. but he comes from a community where people get married and have kids the moment they’re out of high school (if not the moment they become adults) so while he would be sort of caught off guard, he’d adapt pretty quickly. he’d definitely fantasize about becoming a little family unit, probably even subtly propose the idea of expanding every so often. he wouldn’t exactly love your child — at least, definitely not the way he loves you — but you wouldn’t be able to tell with how well he treats them.

🚬 | the delinquents would be more like four older brothers more than anything. theyre all a bit too young to take on a proper parental role, nor would any of them have a real desire to, but they’d definitely have fun sharing their singular shared braincell with your kid. your child would probably grow up to be a massive little troublemaker thanks to their influence, but that’s why you love them, right? if the other parent is still involved one way or another though, they’d immediately put a stop to that. no reason to be involved with your ex now that they’re in the picture.

🌲 | mykolas would be curious of your child. he’s never seen such a young human up close before (considering he was always accused of eating them) so having a chance to actually be around one would be a new experience for him. he’d quickly start to refer to your child as his own, calling them his cub more than their name and carry them around on his shoulders or head whenever they go out together. it wouldn’t be uncommon to see him protectively curled up around them while they’re taking a nap.

🪸 | similarly to mykolas, the mermaids would be sort of curious about your child, though arguably less so as they have seen human children before. they have a very vague understanding of how to care for your child and would constantly search the sea for things that could come in handy for caring for them — you can expect to have a constant supply of eroded toys and suspiciously good quality clothes for them. they’d also try to teach them things that they’d teach the fry of their pods, though obviously they can only do so much teaching something that isn’t meant to live in the sea lol.

💪 | valentina grew up as a parentified older sibling, so while she wouldn’t particularly enthused about taking the role again so soon after getting out of it, she’d be capable of adapting to the role. she knows how to take care of a child and would ensure your kid’s cared for when they’re being watched by her, but she probably wouldn’t be able to establish much of an emotional connection to them without making an active effort to. but she does love children, so she’d learn to love yours too.

👑 | althea would hate your child. plain and simple. she’d view them as the living embodiment of you not keeping your promise to her, of you giving your love to someone else before she had the chance to have you to herself. while she’d never overtly mistreat your child, she’d be incredibly cold toward them and try to find reasons to avoid interacting with them. they’d be spoiled relentlessly with the hopes that if she gave them everything they’d need to live, neither you or her would have to deal with them.

🥩 | rhodes wouldn’t think much of your kid for the most part, but they’d express a gentle fondness for them the few times they do meet them. they’d affectionately greet them, offer them a treat, and hold a little conversation with them to keep them busy for a bit while you run errands or eat or whatever you need to do. they’re kind of awkward with children given they have nothing in common with them and have little experience with them, but surprisingly they’re a natural with yours.

🫀 | melchior has no interest in human kids. therefore they wouldn’t care much for yours, seeing your child more like a pet or something along those lines rather than a sapient being. their treatment of them would reflect that; they wouldn’t be necessarily mean or anything, but they’d be a bit patronizing and talk at them more than they’d talk to them. it isn’t out of malice, they’d genuinely think that that’s how you interact with children and any attempts to correct them would be met with confusion and frowns.

🕷️ | the alt kids would be wonderful parents to your kid. they’d more or less be sort of a mix of abe and the delinquents, but with the added bonus that they’d care deeply for your child as they’d see them as an extension of you rather than a mix of you with someone else. they’d come up with a system to help your child have a good upbringing and stick with it — faust would take up helping them study, anton would teach them manners and etiquette, and delta would help them with their social life. they’re so good for you and your child, see? they live for the idea that them treating your child well and loving them will make you love them all more in turn.

hi again!! this story is very touching to me and i can't stop expanding despite how little the word count is lol i hope you all enjoy this little slice of life south carolina story bc i love it!!

chapter one

Marshes, white beaches, blue crabs. They didn’t wake you up. Neither did the small puddle of drool in the basin of your collarbone or the breeze bleeding in from the open window. That’s ocean breath.

You come apart, your cold limbs tangled up in hers and your eyes open like blooming flowers; if you could just sleep for a bit longer…Sleep like the pale mermaids you see rotting in the marsh, where the sea swallows their spine and soft skin; God puts her face down and her carrion melts unto the moon drenched nectar. If you could sleep…

You shiver beneath the cool quilt and feel Pieck beside you, your sweaty skin slides off hers with no traction—just like how the algae in the marsh slips beneath your feet.

Sometimes you and Pieck would cuddle in her twin sized mattress, hide beneath her big pink comforter, and trace each other's scars like constellations. A botfly infested her bottom lip and Porco cut it out with his pocket knife. She bled like a peach and smiled at you with blood stained teeth. You were shirtless playing cowboys and Indians with no distinction whether you were a boy or a girl, tripped and skinned your knee on the blistering pavement. Mama poured rubbing alcohol over your skin and promised that it wouldn’t hurt but that didn’t stop you from crying. You’ve got another one where no one can touch.

And sometimes you’d wake up with sunlight bleeding in through her window, the kind of sunlight you only saw when you were seven years old and small enough to be carried by your Mama; chalk on your hands and knees covered in bruises, no one had hurt you yet and never would if she was there to protect you, right?

“Pieck?” You whisper, hoping she hears you above the whispers of the marsh. They’re always saying something to you. You drifted to sleep like drifting to the sea and it’s still dark out, even darker than before, and you hear noise coming from the kitchen over the marsh valleys somber sounds. She’s saying something to you. “I think Pock’s home.”

“Mhmph,” She mumbles beneath the blankets and rubs her tired eyes, “He doesn’t live here.”

You’ll have to go home soon. Home right on the marsh water and rotting wood, home where it smells like the feather of a blue heron and where you’ve got all your pretty sundresses hanging up like American flags—the kind that makes boys unable to control themselves around you and God turn his gaze back to the sunset; Pock will drive you home. But it feels so nice to cuddle with her. Her skin is hot but cool when you touch your cheek to her spine, each little bump is another phase of the moon and you remember how she was the only girl at your sixteenth birthday.

You hum at the buzzing of Porco; Pieck, will you make me the happiest man on earth? Will you give me a son? And you hear his deep voice, heavy with beer and honey, mumbling something indistinct and gruff, something you don’t bother listening to.

“He must’ve brought another one of his fuckin’ friends over,” Pieck stretches her feet from beneath the blanket and cracks her back like a glow stick, “My daddy’s gonna kill him. I promise you that.”

Pieck slips away, waddling like an angel to the warm light of the kitchen lantern—that's how the fireflies get burned—and you hear her mumble to Pock about how he shouldn’t be using the key under the mat whenever he feels like a beer with his buddy… Jean?

Not blondie Reiner, not the olive boy Connie with the shark tooth necklace—he said he dug them out himself—not the younger one Colt or the dark scary boy Jaeger with dead eyes.

Jean. A new flower.

The moons out, you can feel her flowers growing and her spotlight shining down through Pieck’s open window. With that breeze, with that coolness of the evening, with that sleepy nectar that always keeps you safe. Midnight blue faded around you. You could almost touch it.

You shuffle beneath the quilt, rubbing your eyes full of bugs and lashes, and hear Pock crack open a Bud Light; he’s gonna crack his teeth one of these days. And you crawl out from the blanket to follow Pieck, just like you always did as a baby with your little blue jeans rolled up to your knees, always wanting to be right by her. This time it's a peach sundress and hardwood floors. You float to the kitchen light like a moth to a flame.

It’s Pock stumbling drunk and swinging his arm over her shoulders, kissing her sloppy and dancing around the kitchen with his babies in his arms. It’s Pieck hiding her face in his chest, hiding her red cheeks and blooming smile where no one but his heart can see and it’s—

He’s six feet tall, as tall as the moon, and maybe he could get it for you if you ask real nice—he’s leaning out the open window, looking up at the deep dark sea of the sky, the moon like a pearl and his tan skin like the shore. Blue jeans and a red ball cap; oh, you wanna touch your heart and find the seashells hidden inside, put them up to your ear, and have them whisper to you that he’s a flower. A lily? A dahlia? The ones hidden beneath your bed with true souls and soft eyes…

And he turns around and you see his face. Now you know what flower he is.

Oh, he’s so pretty.

You lock eyes for a moment and you swear his face softened; in oil paint taken right from the moon and sea, he was made from honey. He looks at you like a little boy, as if he weren’t a man, but something soft and slack jawed that wouldn’t hurt you or the frail little birds with broken wings you like to nurture; his baseball cap and light scruff. He gently smiles at you and you swear boys like him aren’t from here.

He sips his beer and runs a hand through his hair. You touch the flowerbed between your breasts and wonder if you’re ever getting home.

“Go away,” Pieck shoves him, but he takes her down with him, “You’re an animal.”

“You know you love me, baby.” Porco slurs, “S’why you’ve got my baby in you. S’why we’re gettin’ married,'' He pulls her into his arms, his wet mouth bleeding with beer kisses the top of her head and rubs her belly, eyes lidded like bumblebees—you stand there watching them fool around, listening to the gulls and the nic-sea-breeze fray the curtains, letting the blue moon drift in pass Jean. He must like it. He’s watching you, a gentle smile that makes him look humble, then the open window, then the mosquitos buzzing around his sun kissed skin. Oh, he’s so tan. Oh, he’s so tall.

He doesn’t look like one of the boys from here. Even though he’s tan and strong, he looks tender.

He reminds you of those shy cowboys, the ones with hearts aglow and eyes full of stars, waiting to be met with either a bottle of whiskey or the Big Dipper up in the sky; your cool naked skin by the campfire and his big old calloused hands shining orange, red, and blue as he holds you close…

But you look at him again and he isn’t a cowboy. Cowboys can’t ride in the marsh. He’s just soft and pretty and taller than the moon. He’s only seventeen.

Maybe he’ll play cowboys and Indians with you.

Porco pouts at Pieck when she pinches his cheeks. You hope she shuts him up before he starts singing that song and makin’ up his own lyrics, before he starts trying to fight everything in sight. But you also hope Jean isn’t as quiet as you.

“You girlies shouldn’t be left alone,” Porco kisses her nose and you know he’s piss drunk, he must’ve robbed a liquor store like his daddy used to. That’s what put him in jail. “Y’all’dve called me n’ Jeanboy. Promise we’da keep ya safe and all.”

Jeanboy. Oh, Jeanboy, say something. You can’t help but watch him standin’ there, silent and tall with big shoulders meant for climbing on; something so intangible, something so indistinct and sweet about him. You hear Mother Nature humming everytime he looks up and looks away, shy like a scared little fawn in the body of a big strong elk. That’s not how boys act. You swear she’s rubbing peach blood all over his cheeks. He’s blushing.

“Yeah, you’re real cute, Pock.”

Then you watch him lean down to her and whisper something that he shouldn’t have, something that makes her wanna die.

“Will you shut up?” Pieck squeals, sick of all the sweet words he’s been whispering beneath his breath. She pushes him away and he comes stumbling drunk over to you.

“Miss Baby,” You’re sick of that nickname, “Haven’t seen you around here lately.” Porco pinches your cheek and you slap him away like a mosquito. You wish he’d shut up. He’s always treating you like a little sister and you didn’t want Jean to think you were something not worth kissing. You’re a woman. But Porco wouldn’t understand that.

“Why are you in my face?”

He slings his arm around you a little too rough and you can see Pieck peeking around the corner, making sure her daddy doesn’t hear all the drunken ruckus he’s causing—maybe, like the whispers of June, they just don’t notice anymore. They just get used to it.

“I have a secret to tell ya,” Porco whispers to you and his breath feels like august heat on your cheeks, thick and moist and hot with the stench of Bud Light lingering and floating throughout the air. You can taste how many beers he’s had.

“Oh yeah? What’s that?”

“My buddy Jean over there,” He keeps his voice low, just for you to hear, he snickers and leans down like he’s about to kiss you, “He says you’re pretty.”

You want to scream.

With that cool breeze, Mama’s voice floats right to you and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear; Pieck’s got a willow tree and Her limbs sway in the wind. You remember once how a boy opened your hand and pressed a daffodil on your soft palm. Maybe when Jean was looking out the window he saw seven year old you and wanted to go back to a time before he was a man, before the world had changed him from callow to tough and worn. How long has he been here? Where’s he from? Not here. You woulda known. You woulda recognized him.

But you’re getting ahead of yourself. He didn’t say that, right? You’re wearing a light sundress and he’s wearing dirty old blue jeans with a faded red ball cap. You hope he’s got a truck.

Porco snickers and you aren’t sure what to say. No, he didn’t. He doesn’t even know me. Stop fucking around, Pock. Then you’d push him away and take Pieck’s hand in yours and run to the beaches like you were still kids running away from everything scary and loud; the monsters beneath your bed and the man who left bruises on her frail little arms. But you didn’t want to run to ten years ago. You wanted to run so tall and pretty and shy Jean couldn’t see you anymore. Run right into the sea and crash onto the waves and become a mermaid. Pretty where no one can see, especially not him.

“Leave her alone, you dick.” Pieck pinches his cheeks and he tries to give her a big wet kiss, but you’re looking at Jean with one of his eyes half shut and a little smile peeking up at you—at you?

“What? We’re just havin’ some fun, baby,” Porco laughs and Pieck scoffs and pulls him away from you, the salty sweet stink of Bud Light and cigarettes drifts off with him. As she takes him off to the living room, throws him down on the couch, and covers him up with that quilt, you stare at Jean. He keeps his eyes on the ground and you swear you do too, but…

He swallows and you watch his Adam’s apple bob. What were you supposed to say? Something about how Mother Nature grows forget-me-nots over your Daddy’s grave and how if he were to grab your waist, he’d feel flowers growing between your ribs and healed bruises from that night in October. What were you supposed to say?

How are you supposed to talk to boys?

And Jean opens his mouth like he’s about to say something but—

“He’s sloshed,” Pieck comes from behind you and you want to get down on your knees. “Wanna spend the night? You can sleep in our bed.”

“I can’t,” You whisper, wiping your cheeks so hard the blush comes off, “I’ve got church in the morning. I gotta get home.”

“I can drive ya.”

Just as he said that, the flowers in between your breasts bloomed and you felt something from a few summers ago whisper in your ear.

“Really?” You whisper back, but it wasn’t to him. It was to God.

“’Course,” He mumbles and comes over to you, somehow getting taller with every step, “I’m Jean.”

“Georgia.”

Georgia, you knew your cheeks were like wine. Georgia, your stomachs full of butterflies and you know not to touch those delicate wings, Georgia, he’s so cute. Georgia, you knew he was strong, but small scars cover his warm, whiskey-honey skin and you can’t bring yourself to look right at him and his little smile—despite what manners you’ve been taught. If you stare at an eclipse, you go blind… So as time slows and the heaven-pearly moon fades over top you and him, you look for something. Something boys aren’t meant to have and something only stargazers can find.

Then you see it—just as he smiles and sticks out his hand and says its nice to meet ya—you see it.

“Huh?” You say dumbly, wilting with a crooked awkward smile. Oh, God, you want to die. Pieck giggles at you and pinches your arm with a stupid smile on her face that makes you wanna hiss at her to shut up. C’mon, girl, what’s gotten into you?

“Said it’s nice to meet ya. I think I’ve seen you before on the docks, right? Down by Delphie?” He smiles sweetly and it makes the butterflies in your stomach flutter around the lilacs inside of you. You’re gonna be sick.

He shouldn’t smile at you like that. He shouldn’t look so cute and handsome and humble, like he’s one of those dogs that splash around in the creeks, beg for belly rubs, and wag their tails at every bit of affection they get. He smiles like a dog and you wanna put him down.

“Something like that.” You mumble, looking down at your bare feet and the toes of his boots. Your toenails are long and painted pink with smiley faces looking right up at you. Your face is hot like the sand on a summer afternoon and you can’t wait to get outta here.

“And I can drive ya home, if you want.” He says again, voice light and chipper. God, you wish he’d shut up. Maybe he wants you to jump up on his back and bite his ears and crawl all over him like a bug, he’s strong like a tree trunk and you could infest him if you wanted to. Because, God, you want to.

You blink at him. He blinks back.

“Sorry, Jean, she’s a mute!” Pieck squeals, shaking you by the shoulders, “We can’t ever get her to talk!”

“Shut up.” You whip your head around to see Pieck cackling like a witch and covering her mouth. You wanna push her so hard her baby falls out, but she starts to mouth to you; He is so hot! You swat her like a bug and beg for all this to be over, but you know you want it. You want to be with a boy, just for the night—not to lay beside, not to fuck or kiss, but to just be seen beneath the pale moonlight and have the sharp edge of seventeen pierce right through your heart like Mama said it would. Seventeen, she said, will always mean something to me. That’s when I met your daddy.

This summer wasn’t old enough to have a name, but if you climbed up into Jean’s truck and asked him if he believed in mermaids, maybe you’d name it Georgia.

“Fine.” You turn around to face him and you huff, “You can drive me home.”

Pieck buzzes behind you and you feel the ocean rise throughout your body, you’re scared you’re gonna throw up sea water all over him.

“Alright,” Jean flashes his sweet smile and runs a hand through his hair, “I gotcha.”

He’s got you.

And as you walk out with Jean behind you, Pieck and Porco turn into the no-see-ums that always bite your thighs; God plays a song just for you, just for Jean to hear, and you press two fingers to your heart as he watches. Maybe you’re sunkissed. Maybe you’re bare and naked and long legged with big eyes and there’s a moon you could bite into like an orange, but there he is. Behind you, holding the door open like a gentleman.

He has a seashell tattoo on the belly of his wrist and you promise yourself you’re going to touch it tonight.

when i made the ror merfolk, i thought it wouldn't be any different from the pjo merfolk so im honestly surprised they were described differently

im guessing the pjo mers are more like the ones from the tv show siren??? this is what the mermaids look like:

their appearances are more predatory in that show so now im picturing the pjo ones as something like that

honestly, i always saw merfolk (mermaids esp) as like... dangerously deceptive. they look beautiful on the outside, but they're actually deadly vicious predators who lure men to their deaths with their beauty/song, so that's how i wrote the mers in arsenic blues

heurhgh. thinkin abt the prince and the sea witch AU because i am an ocean boy and and and theres so much to thinkabout with this one!!!! i love aus that tap into classic fairytales becasue theres so much to work with!!! connections to make and parallels to draw

context and thoughts under tha cut cus this au sorta escaped me at first and there's very little stuff about it in english

the original au came from a leaflet that was bundled with volume 8 on toranoana:

rough translation explains that mermaid princess hinaichi rescued prince ronaldo, and sea witch draluc offers to give her legs to meet him again (and if he doesn't like her she'll turn into seafoam) which she declines. (literally what she says is "no need!" and the big words to the side of her say "no regrets" which is hilarious.) thats the end of the story and ronaldo is left alone. also, john is a sea turtle that lives in a clam.

im lifting my own headcanons and such from the original little mermaid story (not so much the didney one) where the prince doesn't see the mermaid and instead falls in love with this woman who comes to help him from a nearby temple (who he doesn't realize is actually the princess he's betrothed to later.) in this au that's draluc who was observing from a distance. (i just drew a half sunken agora and im calling that a temple. watever. its refd from one of the old arts and i think its pretty)

i like the idea that ronaldo exaggerates his own memory of spotting draluc that day due to the distance making details difficult paired with the fact that he was probably a little delirious. the idea that he doesn't immediately put together that draluc is the person he saw is kinda fun 2 me, and of course he'd make up some beautiful girl in his head. of course he would.

im messing with some ideas about draluc deciding to meddle with ronaldo instead - does he offer to turn him into a merman to look for his made up maiden? or does draluc come to land for his own reasons? maybe they visit each other at the temple every day and bring each other little things and talk and stuff. itd be cute if they butted heads but still went to see each other every day anyways.

a popular thing in the au is draluc being captured - maybe ronaldo, desparate to find his love and only knowing she was some sort of fish, does something stupid like setting up nets and traps. hahah. maybe he catches draluc and takes him to his castle to learn about merfolk and such. iunno. whatever the case i hope they fall in love in the process and also bicker a lot like their usual schtick

ive got a little sad idea that borrows from some 30 years later au stuff where draluc is worried about ronaldo's lifespan (this is also in the orig little mermaid where mermaids live longer than humans by hundreds of years) but also can't turn human to match ronaldo because it's too painful for him to walk on legs (since one of the au rules is that he must always be weak and the orig little mermaid made it clear that legs hurted real bad)

also also i very big headcanon draluc the sea witch has a sunken castle that looks a lot like ponyo's dad's house on the inside. fulla potions and stuff. wouldnt that be cute! maybe hes got an interest in human life/a collection of old things kinda like didney little mermaid - since canon draluc is so well adjusted to modern human stuff like games and livestreams and whatnot. in this au i think he'd be a lot more stubborn and reluctant to admit it, though, cus i also like the idea that his grandpa went the route of loving a human and going to land and maybe he doesn't want to end up like that? but it might be fate just cus draluc and ronaldo parallel D and helsing so well.

also i still want hinaichi to be in it but her rejection of the plot is so funny and good, i don't want to shove her in without thinking of a good way for it to make sense. she's good friends with draluc and likes his cooking...can you cook underwater??? maybe magically?? maybe draluc takes up cooking on land and brings hinaichi things he makes??? maybe then she gets interested in humans and wants to come to land to try all the cooking theyve got. iunno.

i usually keep this sort of note taking and doodling to myself but this fandom needs all the stimulation it can get. hiii hellooo :]

super super super good take on the idol genre !!! i will admit i dont read much manhwa about idols (like. at all) but i am really enjoying how they explore the industry in this one. plus theres some bodyswapping :D and the character arcs are great too !! both mains learn a lot from each others lives :]

INSANELY GOOD !! the author clearly did a lot of research into the era this is set in -- early 1900s, during WW1 (which on its own is pretty unique like im not seeing a lot of historical manhwas set this time) and definitely has some very heavy themes. the mc time travels back to her twenties just before ww1 breaks out, after her marriage goes wrong w her husband and she dies from. falling down the stairs. RIP. i just think its really well written and the pacing is lovely - the author is not infodumping all the bad things that happened in one go and its working really well. also look at this guy

Weibo HS entries have been very fun today, lol omg. Sina Weibo is never on my good side but there are days like this that i am very amused. 😂😂😂

So earlier today, the entertainment hs was blowing up with Ren Min’s name because of her dating scandal. A paparazzi, released video evidence confirming that she is dating a director. So the top searches were all her name or that director, or both. I really don’t approve of celebrity’s relationships getting outed like this but what can you do. Then XZ gets into the mix, remember, She’s his co-star in Yuguyao / The longest promise. The reason why is kinda funny tho:

Their CP supertopic has changed their avatar into the words “fake” like what most accounts do when denying a rumor or melon, they stamp this word on it. It’s because of what came out, if RM is in a relationship, then their ship is not SZD. Which I think is not necessary, you can pair people up and continue to do so but not believe they are real. For example I love Dilraba and YY because of YAMG, but I don’t think they are SZD.

I’m not even mad when drama related CPs pop up or whatever co star the boys acted with. I mean, XZ & WYB started out like that too. It’s all good as long as they do not overstep and cause trouble and bad press for the boys. Poor XZ tho, suddenly getting dragged into this. Everyone should just focus on the 15 photos his studio released. It’s beautiful ♥️

I already talked about the cpn implications of his photo today and meaning of the hashtag he used over here. The tag being 3rd on main HS, even tho if you look at the posts and the popular ones, WYB’s is the highest by a huge margin. Ignore CPFs. There is no sense in washing. CPN is all fake and speculation anyway. It’s not our fault. It is WYB who posted that and fed our clown minds.

and I think it will be so much better to post about that place and how yibo looks etc than make a clarification. they ( solos and other fans who have beef with us ) all say BXGs are “delusional” / “irrelevant” etc but they can keep on stalking our accounts and talking about us.
