Mythix rankings!! Kill me!!

Now let me get a complaint out of the way

THIS!!!! THE FUCKING FLOWERS!!!!

How are we going to design a mythical transformation??? Put all the girls in the same length homecoming dresses and glue a bunch of random flowers on them

Why are they're so many flowers everywhere! Why does Stella have so many flowers on her??? Why do they keep doing this to Stella???? They went really hard on the flowers for Tecna too???? You cover the fairy of technology in flowers???? For what????

Anyways I hate all the flowers!!! I hate them!!! I hate them so much!!! Why are they all covered in flowers???

Telling you all now so I don't break off into a rant about the flowers in each ranking, because god I would

Oh and all of their skirts are the exact same length, with the same collar for most of them, and only Stella has different sized boots. Because individually is above their pay grade

1) Bloom

Her wings in Mythix???? Flat out gorgeous. They look like layered flames and I love them so much, I wish they were on a better transformation in a better written season

Her dress is the least offensive to my eyes, with some mild visual interest. The arm warmers are cute. It looks so ugly in 2d but in 3d it's tolerable, that shade of blue and purple are pretty together. Over all I love her color palette and wings, and I do not see the rest of it

2) Flora

I am OBSESSED with her wings. Like they TRULY have a vibe I'd associate with the name Mythix. They look old and worn, with the holes in them, but still powerful. Like an ancient set of wings Flora got for herself, and it's such a cute visual

Flora being covered in a petal dress is lazy but easily the least egregious because she is the fairy of nature so it at least matches her personality and powers

3) Tecna

TENCA'S WINGS ARE WEIRD AGAIN!!! NOW MAKE THEM WEIRDER!!!!! I love how geometric they are they look so strange, perfect perfect perfect

Her heels are also metallic which is sufficiently weird

Tecna would literally never wear that dress however, at least it's pointy, but it's a complete flop on the weird scale. Make it weirder. Make it cyber. Make it Tecna

4) Aisha

Why is she a red head again. Well with Wow and s8 I think we know why

Anyways her wings are ready mid. They kinda look like a plant and I'm physically restraining myself from saying anymore about that. Her heels are weird in a fun way, and she has what looks like an ice skaters dress on?? I have no clue why they put Aisha in that but whatever. It's better than Flora's dress, win

5) Stella

Her wings are almost good but I hate the shape of them. The colors are gorgeous though

Anyways Stella's dress is boring and the FUCKING CORSAGE. AHHHH. I'm normal I'm normal

Anyways her dress is so fucking boring and literally for what!!! It's just orange!!!!

Her purple part under her skirt and the fabric over her boots also look like fire???? For some reason?????? Like it looks like a mix of a Bloom and Flora outfit and it drives me up the fucking wall

6) Musa

I like her corset, it looks like musical staffs

Ive been here for so long and never had one so i figured it was time to remedy that

My sona/self-insert's name is Creya, formerly spelled as Crea. (This is not my real name for clarification but it's what I prefer to go by online.) She is just me except you may notice my little sona is green. there's no logical reason for this, I made her using a color palette i found on tumblr YEARS ago and it stuck and now she's alien forever.

On top of the weird color scheme I also have long hair irl i dont know why i draw her with short hair.

I found poisonappletales through markiplier's playthrough of dttr when it came out. I have been obsessed with these games since and show no sign of stopping soon

I call him Antares! This is taken from the brightest star of the Scorpius constellation, which is also referred to as "the heart of the scorpion". I don't know i just thought it fit and i like it

I have also previously called him Blumiere (based off count bleck's real name from super paper mario - though i didn't use this name for long,) and Eros (based off the greek love god - this is the name i used the longest and you honestly might find fragments of it in places)

I draw unknown with the blanket hood off of his face a lot because 1) blankets are hard to draw and 2) handsome......... I also put him in clothes a lot because 1) im not drawing him NAKED and 2) handsome.......

Felix sweet boy baby angel but Christopher Bang is literally Satan? Idk if you saw but Hyunjin ratted him out on live and said the lyrics for Red Light were toned down. I don’t want to know. I don’t. He was already talking about edging and I don’t want to know. He can keep his Scorpio Venus and his Sag Mars away from me and everyone I love. I would give anything to know his rising if sign. It’s giving Earth but there’s so much air in his chart it’s hard to be sure. 🤖

i am so happy you sent me this ask because i have been looking for an excuse to talk about red lights. I sent leon and margot a seven minute long voice message when i was doing my research for my red lights-inspired fic like that's where i'm at.

First, yes, I saw Hyunjin's comments! that's what chris gets for trying to say hyunjin wrote all the lyrics in the first place. nice try, chris. also, his scorpio venus is SEXY. i won't be taking criticism on this opinion.

Now. Please see under the cut if you want to watch me dissect Red Lights -- both the lyrics and the MV.

so, credit where credit's due--I skimmed this and this reddit posts while I was doing my research.

now. we all know that on the surface, this song is about sex (and specifically bondage and edging—that much is clear). but, ah, how's the saying go? "everything is about sex except for sex, which is about power"? sure.

yeah, it's meant to be sexy. they did that for us and im still not sure if I want to kill them for it or thank them with my life. BUT, as they mentioned in the howl in harmony video, it's primarily a song about obsession.

The first reddit post does a great (albeit kind of aggressive) breakdown of the lyrics, where it becomes really clear that they're talking about the relationship they have with their work and the relationship they have with fans. In essence, the song is about how they want to give their lives and all their time to making more content for fans so that they will continue to receive love from us. The red lights are actually the recording light on a camera (hence the line “set the mic up”).

And so a relationship like the one depicted here is dark and intense, and yes—passionate and driven by love—but ultimately, it consumes itself in the vortex of its own desire, and then peters out into a sort of blank monotony—learned through repetition, a habitual reflex instead of a true reaction.

Then, the second reddit post goes on a deep dive of some of the symbolism seen in the MV—specifically, the use of kink. This is where it gets really fun.

We mostly see Hyunjin in shibari-style bondage. OP posits (and I agree) that he is meant to represent passion without discipline. The shibari ropes are tied messily (and so therefore dangerously) which is perfect for representing how often kink (and other obsessions) can devolve—you plunge in headfirst, but you are directionless except for the insistent tug in your gut that cries for more, more.

Chan, on the other hand, is seen primarily (esp in solo scenes) bound by heavy chains. He represents discipline with no passion. In the Howl in Harmony video, I believe he mentions that after a long day of practice, he'll still find himself in the recording studio, even though he's tired. He does what he has to on autopilot, because he knows he must, because it’s the only thing he feels he can do.

If Hyunjin is mania, then Chan is depression. The chains are GREAT symbolism because this dutiful march towards burnout and beyond is, as the lyrics suggest, stemming from a desire to keep receiving love (from fans)—that if you just work hard enough then no one will ever leave you. You wish to bind the person (or people) you love to you, but in the end the bonds only weigh you down.

So then the part where they’re tied together, back to back, at the end, shows when passion and discipline come into balance. And that’s creation for the love of creation while still maintaining a respect for yourself, the art, and your audience. (or idk. maybe they just thought we'd like to see them tied to one another. and they were right).

It's also fun because while we see Hyunjin and Chan both assume positions of domination and submission, it's clear Chan is meant to be the “dominant force” here (hence discipline). The reason we do see instances of Hyunjin in power (choking Chan, standing over him on the table) is because any somewhat healthy d/s relationship involves first the surrender of power. The dom is only perceived to be in power because the sub first relinquishes it them. So. You know.

I will say I'm not sure what to say about the edging theme (BNKSJDF) besides the obvious—almost giving you what you want, but not quite.

And finally, this is not part of either of those two reddit posts, but I was ENTHRALLED by the use of mirror and mirror-esque imagery throughout the MV and in the choreo. I love mirrors as a symbol so we're going to talk about that, too.

First and most obviously, it may be a bit on the nose. In art, mirrors and reflections are often used to show that there is a deeper meaning than what is clear on the surface. So this might have just been hyunchan going "hey! it's not just about sex!"

but I think there's more to it than that. Mirrors are often used as a vessel of truth—in some Chinese myths, for example, mirrors can repel demons, as they will show a demon’s true form. Or see the Little Mermaid—though Ursula managed to change her outward appearance, she was caught in her lie when another character (sebastian, i think?) saw her reflection in the mirror.

Additionally, one’s reflection used to be thought to contain one’s soul—which is why mirrors were covered in the home of person who had just passed, so they would not be trapped as a ghost in the world of the living.

For this reason, mirrors are often also considered dangerous. Think of Narcissus, for a start, who fell in love with his own reflection and sat at the water's edge, pining, until he fucking died. Or consider the following quote (which I love) from Fernando Pessoa:

“Man shouldn’t be able to see his own face – there’s nothing more sinister. Nature gave him the gift of not being able to see it, and of not being able to stare into his own eyes. Only in the water of rivers and ponds could he look at his face. And the very posture he had to assume was symbolic. He had to bend over, stoop down, to commit the ignominy of beholding himself. The inventor of the mirror poisoned the human heart.”

We use mirrors to watch ourselves watching ourselves (and the Margaret Atwood who lives in our heads cries “male fantasies, male fantasies! You are you own voyeur!”). We perform for the mirror—often what we see in the mirror is not actually how we are seen by others! We think we may find truth there, when in reality it is a distortion. Ties itself up really nicely, I think.

In any case, this really goes well with the theme of obsession in the song—staring in the mirror asking, what do others see? What is wrong about me? What can I do better? The idea of looking in the mirror to seek what others see, both positive and negative, is common throughout. And I think their use of mirrored choreo (esp when it seems like one of them is the reflection!!), as well as mirror placement on the set of the mv, and ESPECIALLY the lovely bit at the end where they both stand staring carefully at their own reflections, all work to drive that theme home.

and i don't even know how to touch on all the color symbolism (when it changes between color and b&w?? the palette being overwhelmingly yellow and red and black???), or the lens filters (warping, blurring, etc), or the way they superimposed pieces of the video on top of other pieces, or the use of that one stark white background—without writing a fucking dissertation (and this is already a ridiculously long post) so i'll just stop here.

This is all to say, maybe what they meant was that the lyrics were a lot more aggressive about these themes and they were asked to tone them down to keep it neutral.

or maybe they're just sexy, sexy motherfuckers and their managers bonked them on the head and sent them to horny jail.

of course i gotta go with the original, the dumbass, the ranger (?), mother of Barnaby, none other than the treasured Verya (also this got ridiculously long so im putting it under a readmore)

• wardrobe: what’s your OC(s) style like?

Verya’s style is very practical, comfortable, and sentimental, with a little flair for the aesthetiqué. Her usual color palette is mostly browns and blacks, with some dark forest greens, and she loves to accessorize with a darker, crimson red. These colors are mostly to help her blend in while she’s being sneaky. She always wears some form of a scarf/neck covering, with the scarf she wears now being a gift from a party member made from the fur of a vanquished giant squirrel. Her hair is long, landing at her mid-back, and she keeps it down for the aesthetiqué, though it can get in the way sometimes (hey, maybe that’s why she’s always falling from heights). She also wears a little half/three-quarter length cape because capes are cool man, and Blackjack has one, so of course she’s gotta wear one.

The things she keeps permanently on her person either serve some practical purpose (such as her ever-faithful Haversack) or are deeply sentimental, like the little book of etiquette she carries that used to be her mother’s, or her original crimson scarf that also used to belong to her mother.Now her Fancy Verya(tm tm tm) look is starkly different, with bright and colorful royal blues and golds being her thing. All she wants, all she needs, in this world is a nice closet of fancy dresses and ball gowns. It’s really not too much to ask. She stole Yola’s dress for the sole purpose of it was pretty. That’s it. And someone would literally have to kill her to get her to give it back. Her dress now.

Oh shit I forgot about her cool mask she also has this sick mask that she bought because she thought it would protect her from the plague (she’s got like maybe two braincells cut her some slack) but it’s porcelain white and looks a little something like this:

She’s not in love or crushing on anyone specific as of yet but she has a bad habit of falling a little bit in love with everyone she meets (every good person she meets, that is). That being said, she can “visually appreciate” a villain who’s Big Sexy (I’m not saying she stopped Hilja and Dayanara from killing Yola because she thought she was cute but….)

She’s drawn to people who are authentic, and who have a strong moral consciousness (though this moral code doesn’t necessarily have to comply with what’s legal, per se). She needs someone who’s not afraid to challenge her and help her grow as a person (and in turn help them grow as well) but at heart she truly is a hopeless romantic. She’s always dreamt of the cheesy, cliché passionate romances from the trashy novels that are always laying around her house. That is to say SHE isn’t crushing on anyone right now but Alston’s got plans. Oh, does Alston have some plans. Why do y’all think I’ve been reblogging all those ship tropes????

• hobby: what do they love? what captivates them? what are their passions?

She’s a sucker for the finer things in life, although she’d prefer to get them with a five-finger discount rather than actually paying for them. Anything fancy or old and she WANTS IT. Dresses, jewelry, china sets, cutlery, pillows, nothing’s safe. At first she would steal them just to hock and sell them later on at a profit, but over time she started saving some of it for herself.

She also has an unhealthy obsession with daggers; she keeps accumulating them like a dragon (although the six daggers she keeps on her person come in handy when she needs to throw something and can’t immediately get them back).

Actual hobby-wise, she loves games of chance: cards, dice, lizard races, anything she can bet on.She also likes to try her luck sneaking into places she shouldn’t be, either through disguising herself and deception or good old-fashioned breaking and entering. That’s typically how she gets access to the finer things.

She loves feats of acrobatics (but she doesn’t like the inevitable falling that happens from any sort of height whatsoever)

She also loves to waltz but doesn’t get to do it very often.

ATLA characters as VLD Paladins

Ok ok we already have the Bender Paladins AU BUT consider this: Team Avatar as Paladins of Voltron

So Katara is a mom kind of person. She is super protective of her friends and feels great empathy for those in need. Thats why she is a healer. Now you could say that “she puts the need of others before her own. And she has a mighty heart" This is proven in the episode “The painted Lady” when she sabotaged Sokkas Plan and even went so far to destroy a whole factory to save the people from a town. Katara as the yellow paladin had the bulkiest lion, which she couldn’t control at first, because her style is based largely on elegance, but she finds herself enjoying to fight with her lion because of her hotheaded personality part. The weapon that comes out of the beyard is a whip, that can also create strong sonic waves if she whips it fast enough

The blue lion is lead by Aang. Blue needs a kind of person who is adaptive and curious. (Im just assuming this because Allura didnt tell us what a blue paladin needs) As the Avatar he adapted himself to all four elements already and is just naturally curious and willing to explore. Just like Lance Aang is ready to befriend people easily and protect these people. Aangs weapon is his staff that is able to shoot lasers.

(I thought long and hard about Blue, Yellow Katara and Aang. I think its exchangeable but this version suits them better. What do you think? Pls dont just judge them based on their color palette, but rather on their personality)

Sokka. Well well well I think we all know what would suit him. “A pilot of intellect and daring” I mean if this isn’t Sokka what is? As the green paladin he is the most intelligent one. Also he must hold the shield that protects the rest (He configurated the shield of his lion so it can turn into a boomerang don’t fight me on this!) His weapon of well….not choice, but yeah, is a green boomerang that is able to shock like Pidges hook. Also it has a special magnet that connects to his palading suit so it will always come back.

Ok, ok, ok, ok. If we think of the red lion, the first thing that comes to our minds is Zuko. But HEAR ME OUT: TOPH as the red paladin. I mean: “A pilot that relies more on instincts than skill alone.” Toph is THE EMBODIMENT of instinct. As a blind person, she can’t act otherwise. She must rely on her instincts, waiting and listening before she hits, knowing and predicting a hit before it even begins, feeling and jumping away and only relying on her instincts on when to land. I know what you will think now: Toph is blind! She is useless in space because she can neither hear nor feel anything outside of her lion. The solution: She sees through her lions eyes. The first time they bonded and the first time she flew with Red was incredible to her. Cause she felt so whole. She wasn’t earthbound anymore. She could explore the whole world with her lion. Toph still can’t magicaly see though. Its more of a feeling of feeling the whole universe with her feet. Of course she has the best bond with her lion out of all of Team Avatar. Her weapon is a straight up morning star and she just loves hitting her enemies with it.

The black lion is lead by well the only one left: Zuko “A born leader and always in control” Zuko lead the search on Aang and has much experience with being a leader (Also he is the oldest prince so he is indeed a born leader ;)) At the beginning of the series Zuko didnt have control of his emotion but in the end he nearly won against Azula because he was the one controlling the situation. As a weapon he has his doubleswords, but in lightsaber starwars style for more destruction.

Bonus: And guess now who is Zarkon. Who is the one leading an empire, the one obsessed with finding the black lion, the one true ice cold leader that is smart enough to track Team Avatar down every single time, the one who messes with Zukos mind in order to get the Black Lion. Azula

2. If you were to decorate a bedroom with Christmas lights, what kind would you use? Um, warm whites. Probably the long strings of warm white incandescent bulbs, with a few warm white LED stars thrown in (I love the stars so much). And if I could find a true purple, I’d use those, but I have no idea where to find True Purple lights... they’re all always just so pink. (maybe a Halloween sale...)

3. What is your favorite medium of art? Pen and ink is fastest for me (or graphite, I’ve got a good grasp on that), but I really do love working with fabrics. I just don’t really see them as art, I guess. Not in the same way. They’re never Art Pieces... just fun things.

4. What is something odd that you always seem to notice in people or yourself? Handedness! Always notice fellow lefties. Also whether or not people have rings or religious medals.

5. Tell me 5 things about you that make you YOU. Uhhhh. 1. Exceedingly enthusiastic and passionate. About EVERYTHING. 2. Opinionated. So much. Again, about everything. 3. Huge fuckin nerd. I have lived in 4 places, now: North Carolina, 2 cities in upstate NY, and DC. I identify the most with the place where my parents live because that’s where I go when I say “I’m going home for [event].” I aspire to live on a cliff overlooking one of the Great Lakes... some day. SOME DAY.

9. What is something from your childhood imagination that you still get occasional deja vu about? Um... deja vu might not be the word, but I still believe in magic. It’s just way lower-key than my childhood obsession with fairies. (the Artemis Fowl series absolutely fueled that obsession.)

I often have opportunities to do something nice for people. Today I brought a regular her coffee even though she was planning on getting up and getting it herself. She looked very pleasantly surprised and told me she could come get it and I said it was no issue, did she see how dead it was? Which was true. It was pretty dead today. It’s not normal Starbucks service (bringing coffee to people) but it’s less uncommon than you think around my particular store (which specialises in hospitality as well as fancy-ass coffee). I do stuff like this a LOT because I realise I have one chance to make someone’s day better. I often give out compliments on outfits! That’s my favourite and easiest trick. Tell a girl her [outfit/aesthetic/ensemble/piece] looks nice, and she just lights right up.

Thoughts on some “recent” (like over the past year since I’ve started buying this stuff) makeup I’ve bought, will post more as I try more:

Glossier boy brow: really great for those who are terrified of fuckin with their brows like yours truly. Slap it on, hard to fuck up. Would be perfect if they sold like. A few more than three shades tho. Blonde is good for me but in general their options seem limiting

Glossier lidstar in moonlight? Is that the shade? Idk. Moon something.: maaaannn is this sheer. Like I knew it when I bought it cause of glossiers whole schtick but i didn’t expect it to be that “natural”. Probably gonna try and use it with other shadows to see if it’ll look better there. It can also look streaky if you aren’t careful, but that’s just if you’re a dumbass like me and don’t understand liquid shadows. Also I actually looked at the name and it’s literally just moon.

Coloupop lippie stick in brink: MAN do I hate the word lippie. Anyway this formula is incredibly uncomfortable but it was cheap and I love the color so I put up with it. A curse of those who like matte lipsticks.

Colourpop supershock shadows: i adore frog and ladybird. Cricket makes me look like i have a black eye and is generally patchy and no good. Muse was a stupid buy cause it’s pretty red and I’m pale so it makes me look ill but it was on sale and I’m still gonna work with it. Have not tried glisten yet but it may be similar to muse. Birthday wish is good.

Colourpop supershock highlighter in mistress of all evil: you have to DIG into this thing to get any payoff. Like there’s a giant gouge in it and I’ve used it once, suggesting that maybe the supershock formula isn’t great for highlighters. However I mainly bought this cause i wanted something from the Disney villains collection so it would be dumb for me to complain too much.

Colourpop blush stick in cool it: easy to use as long as you don’t slather on too much, my favorite type of shade. probably gonna buy another shade someday, but not soon cause I have too much shit.

Colourpop something rich lux something lipstick in lucky strike: smells like shit, might be old. Regardless, this would be a lot better if it was matte. Not my fave due to the odd shiny finish but it’s still alright so I’m gonna keep for now until I figure out if it’s bad or not

All the brown lipsticks I can’t wear until i figure out how to use a brown lipliner: frustrate me greatly

maybelline fit me matte and poreless foundation in 110: perfect for me in every way and it’s only 7 bucks but why the fuck does this not have a pump curse you wasted product

Maybelline fit me concealer in 110: I just bought this for the shade match I don’t particularly know or care if it’s good or not. I mean. It’s not shit.

Milani blush in romantic rose: sheer but in the “hard to fuck up” way meaning I wear this everyday and I love it

Nyx white pencil eyeliner: immediately crumbled the minute I tried to use it. What the fuck.

Nyx soft matte lip creams in Zurich and montreal: fairly comfortable formula. Montreal is a great nude for me and it’s initially cooler than Zurich so I like it a bit more, but they’re similar. However Montreal very quickly fades to a much lighter pink and im still not sure how I feel about that considering my normal taste in lipstick, so I might try Zurich a bit more or maybe get a darker one.

The like three L’Oreal color riche shines I bought on sale: I would use varnished rosewood every day if I could but I can’t cause my target got rid of them to make way for their makeup obsession section and I don’t want to pay three bucks more for another should I run out. But like. My fave.

Any mascara I buy ever: I don’t know if this is good or not and I don’t really care

The jouer blush palette I’ve been yearning for since summer cause every color is some variation of a cool tone and I’m predictable but then I saw it was limited edition so I figured I missed my chance but then i saw it on Sephora still last week and took it as a sign from god to buy it even tho the price hurts my student ass a little bit and also the mini benefit hoola bronzer I bought to get free shipping plus let’s be real I have no need for the full size: BETTER be fuckin good I swear or I’m gonna FIGHT

💭Thoughts: SHOOK! This one is like a magic lipstick (or maybe it is?) when you look at it at first, you'll think that this has a sheer pigment, but girl.. na-ah. This baby is nth time pigmented and unexpected, like for real! I kid you not. It's very moisturizing and just a little of this product goes a long long way. Plus, its long lasting and transfer-proof! This lippie is driving me crazy right now. After I wash my face, brush my teeth, exfoliate.. everything. The pigment is still there, not hundred percent though, but enough to give life to my pale lips. 😂 well, maybe that's the reason why its called "revival" lipstick, it could revive "dying" lips. My Makeup Go To’s/What I Use!

I’ve always wanted to share my makeup go to’s in a blog of my own.... since I do have my own log.... why not hehehehe

Just an fyi, I was never really into makeup UNTIL 2016. I would say it was mostly my mom who made me started wearing makeup. Like after I had prom in late 2015 I just thought why not? I only ever wore foundation and a nude lippie in early 2016 but only late 2016 and 2017 I’ve slowly progressed my makeup game!!!! Here’s a lil comparison below: the first is early 2016 and the second is like the middle of 2017,,

Me.... with some foundation... and barely any lipstick??? circa early 2016

Me now..... better foundation,,, highlight poppin and LIT LIPSTICK (and more stuff on my face too but due to sunlight you can’t see MUCH LOL) (keep reading there’s more)

I give creds to my uni friends too who helped me out with introducing stuff to me like contouring, using highlighters and shit like that. Without further or do let’s start!

The foundation that REALLY worked for me is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation. Bought it from Sephora in Suria KLCC. It costs RM164 in Sephora and I got it in the shade Medium-Tan Honey. My past foundations made me look kind of blotchy-ish but I found this foundation and I just...... look somewhat natural lmao. Oil free and its true it lasts for 12 hours!!!! & has SPF15!!!!!! I go to uni with this foundation and I stay long hours there and yet my foundation is still presentable!!! Bitch!!!!!!! 10/10 product it’s worth it.

Next would be my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder!!! i got the translucent one. This one is a popular one and it’s usually sold out in most stores in Malaysia!!! That’s how GOOD it is! It really sets your face perfectly. Luckily my mom pre ordered ours at a Laura Mercier outlet.... in Pavillion Shopping Mall I presume. From the looks of it Laura Mercier is out of Sephora so no price there but I searched up its $38.

Next my contouring,,,, I use a bronzer jdskkjaskhj. I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. Mom got this in Sephora. It fits most skin colors and personally like the color on me (pics at the end of this post). Its RM80 in Sephora.

Next up is my very own blusher that I use since my mom doesn’t want it anymore! It’s the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in Coral 3! Ya as you can see it looks pretty used up lmao but it’s a good color on me skin!! Its $30 and my mom most prob got it from a local Bobbi Brown outlet.

NOWWWW one of my few faves, is this amazing highlighter, ladies and gentlemen,,,, its the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette. Got this at Sephora while I was in Sydney since Australian Sephora outlets sell Huda Beauty products and it costs 80 AUD. Me and my mom always wanted to try to get ourselves a highlighter palette and we ended up finding this! The one we got is the Golden Sands version btw. The Golden Sands version fits for medium to dark skin tones while lighter skin tones fit the other palette which is the Pink Sands palette.

As you can see in the second pic, the first one (Fiji), is actually a creamy base and you’re supposed to dab it on your face for sculpting. The second (Seychelles) is a powder base which basically sets Fiji. Tahiti can be used for contouring but tbh I rarely use it since I got the Benefit one. The last one (Zanzibar) is a mix of pink + some gold blusher which really fits this golden sands theme. I wear this all the time when I have outings and I am so happy with the product. Highly recommended!

I also have another palette to highlight my nose and chin, which is the 3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Magic Touch Facemaker. Mom got it from a local Sephora outlet and costs RM61. It comes with 2 powders which are Gold Beige and Brown. There are 2 types, the other has Pink Gold instead of Gold Beige! The Brown can also be used for contouring but I mostly used the Gold Beige to sculpt my nose and chin.

Now other fave part, lipsticks! Or basically, liquid lipsticks lmao. Let’s get into it:

These the lippies I got (in early 2016, got more later tho lol) Only 2/3 shades are on this pic above are my go to’s/faves (Lolita II & #OBSESSED) which is (from top to bottom: Lolita II- 4th shade & #OBSESSED- 6th shade). I didn’t swatch Iconic sorry guys :((((

My most overused or my go-to lippie is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita II. Lolita II is described as a terra cotta nude! Bought it in Sephora Mid Valley (?) and costs RM99. I swear to god I almost regretted getting it even though I did like it when I first tried it in Sephora. It was just so bright for me,,,, probably because I’m so used to nudes that getting something like that is just... wild for me lol. However I started wearing it often and I realized how good I look in it, especially with my skin tone. Literally, everyone I know,,, are prob used to me wearing this lol. It’s quite matte unless you eat oily ass food then it might be a problem and you should bring the lipstick with you at all times. :x Either way, love the color and I too love the formula, so props for them!

Next is Huda Beauty’s Liquid Matte Lipstick in Icon. I initially had the normal one but we also got the same shade in a mini version. It came as a bundle with 3 other shades which are called Gossip Gurl, Trophy Wife & Socialite. All of them are shades of pink and the bundle is called The Pink Edition Liquid Matte Minis. We bought it from Sephora while we were in Sydney too and it costs 59 AUD per bundle.

I LOVE the color and I wear it on my good days but hoenestly it REALLY doesn’t last at all especially if you’re eating out. Once you eat something, a lot of the lipstick will be smudged off already. Once you use it you’ll realize how watery it is from typical liquid lipsticks. I know we should highlight the liquid part but still.... too liquid for me imo. Like it was so liquid to the point it dripped some on my leather MK bag..... tragic. I think that’s something that Huda Beauty should work on BUT HOWEVER I LOVE THE SHADE WHATSOEVER AND I’LL STILL WEAR IT EVEN THOUGH ITS QUALITY AIN’T SOOOO GREAT. But of course, that’s just my opinion.

THE LAST WOOOO, is a new fave actually. I’ve owned this for a while but I only used it recently and I LOVED IT SOOOOO MUCH. It’s the 3CE Liquid Lip Color in #OBSESSED. It’s a dark red shade basically. Bought it at Stylenanda in Gangnam I presume while I was in Seoul and it costs 18 USD. Click here to read up my adventures in Seoul in Day 1 hehhehehehehe.

Riverdale (S01E04) Chapter 4: The Last Picture Show Airdate: February 16, 2017 (The CW) Ratings: 1.139 Million :: 0.44 18-49 Demo Share Score: 8.5/10 **********SPOILERS BELOW********** Ever since I laid my eyes on a certain Italian Director's work and saw how shading and colors could impact a single storyline so deeply, I became a bit obsessed. Yes I'm talking about Dario Argento and specifically the first film I saw of his, 'Suspiria'. He is a master of color palette play, and to see a show like 'Riverdale' take on such an iconic color scheme itself, is equally as exciting. As apprehensive of the series as I was at first, it seems that with every episode, I grow more and more attached and assured that 'Riverdale' will be the show that we need it to be. The first three episode built on its murder mystery, what seems to be the series' centralized story arc. I watched as slowly but surely the character's of 'Riverdale' started to pop like its unique blue and gold color palette that enhances that focal red color you see peppered throughout the scenes so well. At one point I accused a few characters of falling back into archetypes, while others fleshed out into 3-Dimensional human beings with a timeless, classic look... But here in Chapter 4, a very character who I accused of being an archetype, Cheryl, admitted it in her own words. She was proud of her straight forward, almost basic nature... It's like a defense mechanism. She's not complicated and that's how she likes it, hearing her admit this in her own way made me grin from ear to ear. It's affirmation that creators of the show know exactly how certain people and certain things are coming off to its audience, which helps me trust in its overall direction. The perfect town, with the perfect parents, and their perfect kids prove that even in near-perfection there is always another side of the tracks... The wrong side of the tracks. In 'Riverdale' that's represented by the Southside Serpents, a biker gang led by one Skeet Ulrich, who's character name we aren't sure of yet, but we do know one huge piece of his identity... He's Jughead's father. Jughead has been our gracious narrator through the series, and therefore we get a big part of the story through his point of view. We learn that the drive-in is extremely important to ol' Juggie... His passionate speech at the booth in Pops where he claims that Quentin Tarantino is 'The King Of Underground Cinema' is a nice thought, and meant well, but we all know that John Waters, Todd Solondz, & David Lynch are 'The Real Kings Of Underground Cinema... But yeah, sure kid, everybody knows his name so we'll go with that, tho if everyone knows his name then he's not really underground is he? That's all besides the point tho, Skeet Ulrich is seen by Cheryl lurking around diner dumpsters arguing with Veronica's mom... Cheryl being the upstanding citizen that she is, takes a pic for proof sending Veronica into sleuth mode. After a bit of lying, Hermione finally comes clean after being caught in the act of passing off money to Serpent Skeet. Apparently even in prison, Veronica's Dad is making moves and one of them is to buy up the drive-in lot to level for a perfect plot of land to build on. He payed The Serpents to hang around and solicitate on the grounds to drop down the value of the land, making it more affordable. Tho if Hermione is constantly having to pay them, even while her husband is locked up, Im not sure it was completely worth it. In the end, the big shocker is dropped when Serpent Skeet asks Jughead where he's going to go.... So not only is Leader of The Southside Serpents Jughead's father, that drive-in theater was where Jughead was living! The qualms that anyone had with this episode had to be erased with that double twist, truly a jaw-dropping moment and pivotal point of the series. How can this not rev you up? It was laid out and placed just like the town of Riverdale itself, near perfect. Now while all of this is going on, Betty is doing a bit of sleuthing herself after she figures out that Archie and and Ms Grundy have more than just a teacher-student relationship. Betty is pulling off some crazy stunts, like breaking into Grundy's car, finding an ID proving that Grundy is not who she says she is, and even finding a gun... And she must have 'got it from her momma', because I don't know why anyone in their right mind would take that gun home and put it in their dresser drawer, especially if they were a teenager with an unbalanced investigative journalist mother with questionable integrity. Of course Alice finds the gun, ravages through Alice's diary (keep all your secrets on your iPhone guys, locked tight, fingerprint and codes) and uses the damning knowledge & evidence to send Grundy packing... Not because she dislikes Grundy, or has a huge problem with the unethical predatory behavior that Grundy is obviously notorious for, but because she hates Archie and that in itself shows how loose of a cannon Alice Cooper is. I love Betty and I love that she's so loyal to Archie, but there's a bit of a crazy streak inside of her that she inherited that from her mother, which we saw in full force last week when she avenged that whole 'Sticky Maple' situation with a little bit of an extra touch. Yeah, it's true, Grundy off easy... Alice just wanted to hurt Archie and Fred just wanted to console his son, who he has just realized was music teacher predator bait... But expect her to be popping up sometime in the future... And if it makes you feel any better, Ezra from PLL pretty much trumps Grundy in the 'To Catch a Predator' boat. At least they pulled the trigger on this one quickly. Now we can move on to bigger, better, and fresher storylines. Something tells me that Riverdale has plenty in store for us all.
