also some ppl asked me abt what i was talking about w like. SOME fans' perceptions toward dnp's early relationship. giant nonsense under cut :3

essentially it was about like, i guess we have an idea in our heads about what a parasocial relationship between a celebrity and a fan looks like right. and there can be issues there when boundaries are crossed, particularly when the celebrity is the one to cross that boundary without acknowledging the inherent power dynamic that they hold. this is still an issue that can happen with youtubers to this day ESPECIALLY because the line between creator and fan is so blurred.

when we hear about how dan and phil's relationship started out, from the current perspective we have towards parasocial youtube relationships, it can look a lot like that power dynamic. i mean for the most part, its something that's joked about, but specifically from the view of a "crazy fan". dan is phil trash, hes the ultimate phillie, he's the parasocial fan who won, i mean even HE joked about it back in the day (in a much edgier way) with his video about befriending internet stars by doing all these horrible things.

but it's important to remember what youtube was like in 2009, and what youtube culture specifically in the UK was like in 2009. those old halloween gathering vlogs and old sitc vlogs are all still up on youtube, and you can see it really was just. 50 nerds standing in a field huddled around doing whatever. the only thing i could compare it to in my personal life was going to facebook group cosplay meetups in washington square park in nyc, just a bunch of nerds wearing horns in a park and then going to get mcdonalds afterwards lol.

a youtuber wasnt even a real thing at this point in time. there was no money to be made really, just internet clout. cant remember who said this in a call recently, but someone made this comparison: dan and phil meeting each other was less like a modern day youtuber meeting a fan and more like a tumblr user with several thousand followers meeting a tumblr user with a few hundred followers. like in terms of a dynamic, sure phil was a few years older and had some internet clout, but that didnt have nearly as much weight back then as it does today. also fine lets talk about the age gap.

dan was 18 and phil was 22. a lot of (american) people talk about this and are like "oop red flag!" and im american so i kinda get it. especially when you know about how college dudes can and do prey on girls fresh out of high school like that. but a couple things to remember.

there are different standards for age differences in relationships everywhere around the world and we cant just view everything from the one mindset we know, and in terms of mental differences, 18 really isnt that different from 22 (frontal lobe aint done developing just yet yall)

they are two queer guys. and im not saying whatever isnt possible but like its something to take into account that queer relationships are just not going to be in the same framework as het ones.

they are two neurodivergent guys. a common thing w neurodivergence is feeling like youre being left behind by peers.

alright lets focus on that last point shall we? think about it this way. dan had just finished [UK equivalent of high school SORRY FOR BEING AMERICAN] but he is taking a gap year. from what hes said and what we've seen of this time, it seems like his friends have gone off to uni and he was kind of alone and figuring out what he should even do. idk if he even decided on studying law yet by the time he started talking to phil.

speaking of whom... phil had also just finished school, he finished his masters at uni! i posted a clip on here that i found really interesting from a (pre-dan) 2009 vlog of phil being open about like, feeling scared about what to do once school was over. he had to get a job and move out of his parents house and become a Real Man.

if you think about it, dan and phil were in much more similar boats than you might think at first glance. they were both extremely internet queerdos who were being forced to "grow up" and felt kind of isolated from their peers who seemed to have their shit together in comparison. there was a lot they could relate to even outside of common interests or anything like that.

its not a lie that there was some parasocial nature to their relationship at the start, but it's not nearly the same as other later cases of youtuber-fan relationships. but also! maybe im only saying all this cuz it worked out right? what abt [redacted] and [redacted]? two queer guys, similar ages to dnp, similar amounts of internet clout, but they didnt work out. so maybe it really is just bc its dan and phil specifically that it managed to work out.

“Are we going to that new bar downtown?” You ask as you apply the last of your makeup.

Saturdays were the nights that you gathered your girlfriends and went bar hopping after surviving another week of college classes.

“Mhm! I’ve heard from a few people in my classes that it’s weird… but in a good way?” Your friend shrugs “I dunno. I heard the owner is extremely hot though.”

You’d heard that too. Whispers of the hot owner who opened a bar downtown permeated all your classes. The girls were obsessed and the boys were jealous. And you were excited to see what all the hype was about.

“Maybe y/n can bat her eyelashes and finally get laid,” your other friend giggles as she bumps you with her shoulder.

“I get plenty! I am just choosing to focus on my studies. Something you all should be doing considering finals are three weeks away. Then were home free for three months.”

Finals was really causing you more stress than you liked to admit. Your grades were fine, but making the deans list was a goal you worked hard to achieve.

You take one last look in the mirror before grabbing your bag and strapping on your heels “okay. Are we ready? Everyone have their IDs and money?” Ever the mom of the group, trying to make sure everyone has everything before leaving the house. And once everyone mutters, you guys are off.

The thumping of the base can be heard from outside this bar. “Vecnas Vengeance” is the name of the bar. Creative but… confusing, if you were being honest.

You hand the bouncer your ID and $20 for cover before making your way inside. The atmosphere is dim but not too dark you cant see where you’re walking. The walls are black, red lights illuminating the space. The décor is dark and a little chilling, but you don’t mind. Edgy is your middle name.

“I see the owner is into horror movies. Or… something?” One of your friends says from behind you.

You grin, “I like it. It’s different. Dark, but fun. There isnt another bar like this in town.” Because it’s true. All the other bars in this college town are either dive bars, actual clubs, or places you didn’t want to frequent. But this was a place you could see yourself becoming a regular in.

You and your friends make your way to the wooden bar top, settling into the plush velvet bar stool.

“What can I get you pretty ladies to drink?” The bartender saunters over, a lazy grin on his face. The first thing you notice about him is how attractive he is. His brown hair looks so soft that all you want to do is push your fingers through it. It takes a minute for you to remember that he asked you a question.

“Oh, um can I have a lemon drop martini please?” You grin at him, lacing your fingers together and resting your chin on them. “I didn’t catch your name?”

He smiles as he pours your drink and sliding it toward you, “Steve Harrington. I own this place.” You sip your drink slowly, looking at him over the rim of your glass. Everything about him is perfect in your book and you, now, understand exactly what everyone was whispering about.

“Nice to meet you, Harrington. I’m Y/N.” You hand him your card, opening a tab; knowing its going to be a long night.

“A very pretty name for a very pretty girl.” Your friends have moved to another part of the bar, making sure to keep you in their eyesight, should anything go wrong. But you knew they didn’t have to worry.

Steves vibe was calm, almost fatherly. But you didn’t miss that he was cocky, something you liked.

“You always sweet talk your customers?”

He huffs a laugh, “only the prettiest ones. And you just so happen to be the prettiest to ever walk into this bar.”

Something else you notice about him, he’s young. He cant be more than a few years older than you. You counted that as a win in your books, deciding that if you wanted to, you might just be able to take him home.

“Mmm, a flirt.” You sip your drink again, needing something to do with your hands. “Has that always gotten you what you want in life?” Fucking with mens egos was something you did often. Took the douchebags down a peg or three. But for men like Steve Harrington, it was all in good fun.

He responded exactly as you expect, “maybe. Possibly. Why is it working on you?” He winks, offering you a little laugh.

You can feel your face and body warm and you know its not from the alcohol. He’s infectious and you know that if given the chance, he’d worm his way into you bloodstream and you know you’d never be able to get him out.

“Maybe. Possibly.”

A girl with short brown hair yells from the end of the bar, speaking a mile a minute, barely taking a breath as she says “Steve?! Hello! Instead of flirting with all the women and making them uncomfortable, I could really use some help here. Because I’m learning and I don’t know how to make a Moscow Mule so if you could help me that would be-“

He sighs before cutting her off, “Robin! Relax. The cheat sheet is right there. I’m sorry, sweetheart. Duty calls.” He playfully rolls his eyes before slowly pulling away from the bar top to help the woman called Robin.

It doesn’t take your friends long to snake their way through the crowd and taking the empty seats beside you. “Did you get his number?” One asks. “Invite him back to your bed?” Another teases.

“No and no. We were just… chatting. He’s cocky. And we all know my track record with cocky men… heartbroken and swearing off men forever.” You down your drink at that, pushing it to the other side of the bar for the barkeep to deal with later. “Besides, he flirts with everyone.”

You look down to the other end of the bar, eyes finding his already looking at you. You bite your lips slightly, imagining what would happen if you DID let him take you home. You could imagine his hands in your hair and his lips kissing all the spots you love. But you couldn’t ask him for that. There’s no way.

“Sweetheart? You okay?” Steves voice snaps you back reality, another martini sitting in front of you. You feel your face heat again, your stomach doing flips at the way he’s looking at you.

“Ah, y-yeah sorry! I spaced out.” You laugh lightly, sipping your drink again. “Finals are kicking my ass and I still have three weeks.” You laugh awkwardly.

He smirks, grabs a napkin and a pen, writing something down before sliding it towards you, “if you ever need a study partner, let me know.” He winks at you before walking away.

Your eyes slip from him down to the napkin. You smirk at the numbers written on it with a little note ‘call me’. You slip it into your purse before taking your drink and finding your friends.

ok ik thats a lot, so ill try to start at the beginning. i (17nb) have been working with this one environmental organization since it was started when i was 12. ive devoted a lot of time to it n to seeing it grow, n when the group got big enough that we could rly expand to more places than just my country i was actually assigned to be in charge of running things here. i dont do it alone or anything bc i do have help from our real leader (40s m) n the people who run the branches in the 2 other countries we operate in, especially the one whos also been here since the beginning (30s nb), but its still a rly big responsibility n its important for me to b able to focus n not let other things distract me from my job.

a few months back, i thought it mite b nice to make my own account on the social media site where our group has the most presence so i could post abt personal things. i didnt mention my connections though (the stuff we do is kinda a bit illegal). it went rly well, n i ended up talking to this one person (20s f) who was rly nice, n we became friends p quick. the big problem was that she didnt like my group at all bc she was rly mad abt some of the stuff we'd done in her country, so there was kinda a conflict there. but some stuff happened, she ended up finding out who i rly was, n surprisingly she wasnt rly that mad at me? n she promised to keep it a secret, n it kinda went well from there other than it being kinda uncomfortable that she liked me n not what i do.

i mean, it did for a while. eventually though it became rly clear that talking to her was distracting me from my work, so my boss n coworker asked me to cut her off. n it hurt kinda a lot, but i did it. n thats where the story shouldve ended.

then i kinda fucked up. i was feeling rly weird bc of of smth that had just happened, n my boss n coworker weren't able 2 pick up the phone. my other coworker (??? i dont even kno this persons pronouns) isnt rly good w emotional stuff, but that was the last person i had to contact for support. n that person wasnt there either.

n i kno it was a mistake. i kno i shouldnt have done it. but i was kinda desperate for someone to talk to, n i ended up calling the friend id cut off even though i knew i wasnt supposed to. n she answered, n we talked. n i tried to go back to normal after that, but she started texting me again, n eventually i broke n answered her.

fast forward to today, n i just found out that my coworker had to try to kill my friend bc i couldnt control myself w her. the person who told me says it wasnt my fault, but if id just been able to resist the temptation to contact her again there wouldnt have been any messages for them to see in the first place. n on top of that, i kno that caring abt ppl too much makes them die, n i still let myself make that connection w her in the first place.

i mean, i think its p clear im the asshole here. basically the whole posts just been stuff i did wrong. but i kinda want to get confirmation, just so i dont have to keep thinking abt the thing the person who gave me the news said.

anyways i’m thinking about my birthday and im wondering what i should do (its in june). i dont wanna just go out to dinner because i did that last year and it was basically just… ik i can do better. whatever i do i know ill probably do on the friday or saturday night before or after bc my birthday is a weekday. it will also probably be my high school group (5 ppl) my hometown friends (2 ppl) and my work bestie (1 ppl).

1. powerpoint night.

pros:

- its cheap. can be done at my house and is really casual

- this is something i’ve wanted to do for a while (i actually wanted one for my 19th but my ex friends talked me out of it because they wouldn’t like it)

- my friends who havent met my cat can meet my cat

cons:

- will be getting a few different groups of friends together so it may be awkward for these people to present/ find topic

- my sister turned the ‘hangout space” into her hsc study area and really is anti giving it up for one night (i tried once). also her stuff gives bad vodoo bc hsc

- i feel some ppl find the notion of a powerpoint presentation stressful bc high school (probably why my ex friends weren’t too keen)

- my house isnt great for public transport and funnily enough the friends who live furthest away don’t have their license . its a locals only bus service. you can tell.

- really easy team building plus it doesn’t matter if its all different groups /some people don’t know each other well.

- expensive as fuck

- done lots of escape rooms

- doing with lots of people can be overwhelming and smaller teams kinda work better here (i did an escape room once and the team was like ten people and it was Too Much. i stood there useless half the time.)

3. quiz room

pros.

- really cool and unique also im a sucker for trivia and irl game show sounds cool.

- probably good for my desired group size.

- public transport accessible

- its literally $45 pp and like ik my friends aren’t that stingy but even im going… yikes

finally i watched the new bonus episode and i have a few thoughts

dream of a thousand cats

the animation is such a good choice for this story, not only because it skips over the uncanniness of talking cats but also the style is so beautiful yet very realistic. also there is a joke here somewhere about cats doing what you want them to where creators decided that animation will be simpler than herding cats.

i hope Lucifer makes new kinds of punishments for Paul, i want that guy to suffer for what he did

i agree with the cat that said that you can't make a thousand cats do the same thing at the same time. i have four furry bastards at home and the only thing they can agree on is feeding time. besides that i wish luck to anyone who would want them to have group activities (doesn't matter that they live together)

i love how the point of writers being liars is hammered here, even with Ric calling himself a feminist, saying that he got his ideas from the world around him and not stole them, straight up saying he didn't really know Erasmus and all the other little ones that escape me rn. don't know many authors of something other than fanfiction so i can't speak to how true that statement is but it is still funny to me

and last but not least, i love the dynamic between Morpheus and Calliope. maybe its because my parents are divorced but something about people that are no longer together and can still talk to each other and help each other (even of it takes time) GRIPS me. It is just so beautiful to me that after all is said and done, no matter how much hurt you suffered because of the other person, you still respect them and treat them as a friend. you have to be a very mature person to do that and i think that shows how much Morpheus has matured in this season in a less overt, but still very noticeable, way than him bringing Gault back as a dream. the way he answers her immediately and even though he thinks the punishment is too light he goes with her wishes because this isnt about him and he knows that. the way she trusts him and hopes he will come even if logic dictates he won't. there is just so much raw emotion here on both sides and I fucking love that. i think i could go on about this for much longer but im afraid i will just get less and less coherent.

anyway, i think that this episode will be one of those that i rewatch over and over again because i feel like I missed a ton of stuff here.

hello everyone! my name is ami and im very happy to be here and write with all of you. sorry i disappeared last time but school and life became bit too much for me and i lost track of things including my activity. but this time around im hoping to plot some fun ideas with everyone. maki is still very much a work in progress so THIS is just the start of his stats page. im going to be fleshing him out as i go but dont let that deter you from plotting with him please. if you like this then i will stop by your dms so that mayhaps we can plot? i even worked up a little plots page HERE if you would like to take a peek at it. okay now onto the good stuff!

tamaki was born in new york. some people have two parents, some one, some none. tamaki is lucky enough to say he has three. his parents split up before his mother knew she was pregnant but by the time he was on the way she was already falling hard for another woman. it mightve been awkward for them trying to find a good and stable dynamic amongst themselves but they found a way to make it work for maki and his older sister. (yes i stole this from friends shhh) 

his father was always in the picture, but Maki lived with his mothers and sister. it was such a fun and nurturing home that allowed him to stay well in tune with his emotions. there was never anything he was denied. and his curiosities weren’t met with distaste or disapproval- not even when his mothers caught him trying on their dresses and heels. he just wanted to feel and look as pretty as they did when they wore them. 

his interests were always encouraged. and while he was never good at basketball or soccer, he thrived in other categories such as taekwondo and playing the piano and guitar. but he also wanted to do everything his older sister did and so his mothers signed him up for ballet just like her. he had a knack for it and frankly he loved it most above all his other activities. 

his love for ballet exposed him to other dance styles as well. and while he felt like college was his best bet for a secure future- he was also one to always follow his heart and desires. he wanted to be on stage and dance and sing for others. he wanted to engage with a world of music and performing. 

with the support of his family and friends, tamaki flew solo to south korea to pursue his dream of becoming an idol. he knew it’d be tough going to a country where he didnt know the language or the culture, but he also knew he’d always regret not following his dreams if he didnt try now when he was still young enough. 

finding a company to take him was tough, but the real hard work began once training began. on top of training and practicing, he was also trying to learn a whole new language. and everyone around him was the competition, meaning help wasn’t often offered. everyone was looking out for themselves and he understood that. only meant he had to work that much harder. 

however, it wasnt all for naught. the day finally came when he was chosen for the newest boy group Indigo, and as their main dancer no less.

the little things

tamaki skipped a grade and graduated high school early. he was always such a little smarty pants. his favorite subject was math smh

he has quite the collection of medals in taewondo

apart from english and japanese he knows a few other languages. one of his mothers is mexican/italian and therefore taught him spanish and italian growing up. and one of his best friends was hard of hearing so he learned american sign language for them. and since trainee days hes become quite good at the korean language as well though he still gets some things confused sometimes.

small side note!! K has like no resources. ive tried making a few gifs but there really isnt much out there for him. so please bear with me while i try finding resources. if it becomes a problem not using gifs then i will be happy to switch fcs but for now i love K’s face and will like to try giving him a shot because he’s who i see working best for maki. thanks for understanding <3

Im Suuuuuper addicted to genre and genre definitions and sort stuff Strictly by these conventions so... First of all, MCR used to (i dont know about Now) say themselves they dont really want to be associated with emo and dont see themselves as emo. From a musical standpoint they arent emo either. Neither historically. The fashion stuff also isnt there (well, not much.. you could argue they dressed emo-ish in the early 2000s) They are Associated with emo since emos sometimes listened to them, but that was the more.. mainstream leaning bits? At least in my experience... most emos i knew did Not listen to them. In fact i rarely see Any band in "emo polls" on here that was actually considered emo. Just cuz people of Subculture A Listen to a band of Subculture B doesnt mean that band suddenly belongs to Subculture A. Like... if you get a few thousand metalheads together and have them listen to... Insane Clown Posse. That doesnt mean ICP are suddenly metal. Its still hip hop. You just have a large number of people of a certain subculture who also happen to listen to a completely unrelated artist. Cuz.. people listen to music. Some Actually Emo Bands would be Jimmy Eat World, From First To Last, Aiden, Finch, Hawthorne Heights, Thursday and Dashboard Confessional. I think these are the more well-known ones Oh then there was a Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge chunk of bands that are considered Emo even if the music they were/are making is stuff like screamo and metalcore. Earliest Bullet for My Valentine is nowhere near Emo Music but they were still Considered Emo back then (i mean this already changed with Scream Aim Fire but during The Poison they were firmly in emo territory) Theres a fine line between "lots of people from this subculture also happen to listen to this unrelated band" and "this band Musically doesnt belong here but they fit literally every other tick box" but MCR were firmly in the first group.

i FINALLY finished whole cake island arc (and revelry) and i just have so many questions and thoughts and NO ONE TO TALK TO because all my friends are LOSERS who dont watch one piece. anyway im gonna put them here. in case this doesnt get lost in the void THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION TO GIVE ME SPOILERS

at this point from wano spoilers i have been unable to avoid and where i am in the story I see a few main groups that luffy has to fight before the story is complete and its making me question how this will be carried out but i have theories

1. Emperors: While not all of these fights NEED to happen I think if they dont it will leave a lot of questions as to the characters themselves and their background (such as shanks) or miss out on an opportunity to create a good story (Buggy). I also think all these fights are 1v1 against luffy.

a. Blackbeard: obviously with his history with both Luffy and Ace, Luffy will have to fight him. this is one of two characters I am 100% sure will have to be fought.

b. Shanks: when Shanks met with the 5 elders i found it VERY suspicious. while it was left open ended which pirate he was talking about, it made me immediately not trust him. not to mention that i do not think he is the type of person to just LET Luffy find the One Piece. i think he would fight Luffy for it so i think its pretty likely they fight before the story is over. I think it would also be a symbolic overcoming your mentor type of thing.

c. Buggy: does this NEED to happen? no. SHOULD IT? ABSOLUTELY. i think there is something so symbolic about buggy being one of the firsts characters luffy fights and the last. i can also totally see buggy becoming king of the pirates before luffy for a brief period. obviously having this be a lighthearted and joyful story is very important to oda and there is no better way to close out the story than a battle with buggy. tbh if this doesnt happen i will be heartbroken.

2. World Goverment: All these people need to be defeated, but not necessarily by luffy himself. i think it could be a group effort

a. imu: i know like literally nothing about them other than they are the secret leader of the world government but i think its an obvious set up for whatever secrets are revealed by the last poneglyphs. and obviously to dismantle the world government this guys gotta go

b. 5 elders: same as above i think its a dismantling of the system though i could these these guys being fought by the crew

c. sakazuki: i think this fight has to be vs. luffy. sakazuki obviously has an agenda against him and with the history with Ace its gotta be 1v1 here 😭🍩🫶

d. marine admirals: again i think this could be a group effort by the crew.

e. Koby: thought koby isnt really a part of the system of the world government he does support it. i dont think this fight is necessary but his story has to be closed out somehow. even if its capturing luffy many years in the future in a flashforward or something.

f. celestial dragons: ill leave these weaklings to luffy’s supporters (like bartholomew)

so to recap here are the 1v1 fights i think luffy still has to go before the series is through based on likelyhood

2. buggy (yes i think its more likely than imu bc i think there is an argument that imu is only has power in the metaphysical sense rather than being an actual fighting opponent)

I'm going thru a very transitional phase rn and i wanted to ask how has friendships changed for you as you've gone from school to college to work. Do people really do trust they'll have this friend for life and is that something you feel as well with people in your life? How did you deal with friendship breakups? Do you still have a good amount of close friends fr school and college?

i'm doing okay, i'm pretty tired and didnt do much which makes me a little sad but it's probably the concerts i went to this week catching up to me.

i'm still friends with 2 people i was friends with in high school, we knew each other since middle school but didnt get close till about freshmen year and got closer every year. i fully think we'll be friends forever because our friendship group was a lot bigger- i think they're were about 6 of us maybe. but a lot of them fizzled away after high school, which is sad but at the end of the day you can't force anything and when i look back those friendships were amazing at the time but i can't imagine they'd service me now.

a friend breakup is weird, it obviously depends on what kind of breakup (like a natural growing apart vs a fight that ends everything and leaves bad feelings towards one another), but at the end of the day everything happens for a reason. if a friendship doesnt add anything to your life anymore there's no reason to keep putting in effort to something that isnt there, a friendship shouldn't feel like a job you have to keep up with. friendships and relationships are similar to me in a way, like you'd never stay in a relationship that doesnt service you so why bother a friendship. you and your friend(s) were there for each other when it was needed and now it's not, them leaving might hurt but them being there to begin with is what matters.

like i said- my best friends are two people i've known since middle school and the reason i think we'll be friends is because we actively put in the work to be friends, they live an hour away from me and we make plans to see each other whenever we can. we're going to a bunch of concerts together, spending July 4th together, my friend randomly texted that they wanted to go to a renaissance faire so we're doing that now lol. whenever we wanna do something we run to one another. we put in the effort it takes to be an adult with friends but we are fine with not seeing each other for a few months if it happens. we still text everyday and i feel 100% like myself when im with them, i always have. all of these things are important in what makes a friendship last to me- comfortability, dependability, excitement, etc.

(regarding the five pebbles and seven red suns ship) i feel like when it comes to the iterators either interpretation could be valid?? like some people interpret them as friends, some interpret them as family

like, lttm says "one of [pebble's] friends" when talking about suns, and then suns themselves says (paraphrasing a bit) "as a long time friend" on the pearl they send to him

in regards to the ancients calling themselves the iterators parents, i always felt like it was akin to the way some religious people say that everyone is a children of [insert god here] or something, like a metaphor

also same here abt seeing suns and pebs as just friends, its just that now that ive returned to rw a few years later and looked into the lore pearls again that i think its implied that iterators would see eachother as somewhat related perhaps?

i didnt think about the iterators being considered like "children of (godlike figure)" but in hindsight, thats also a possibility. In the lore pearl that this is brought up they also say that five pebbles is "their gift to the world" or something like that, and that seems to fit with that theme as well...

and yeah, when it comes to all forms of art, no interpretation is truly wrong. i think the main point that bothers me aside from the possibly siblings stuff is i feel like this isnt what people should be getting out of the iterators plotline? like shipping is fun. it is for fun. im not gonna go after people for that! but i also feel like people should be taking a step back and appreciating the characters for what they are and not for what they could be. if that makes sense?

about your second point, i have something to say about that but its MAJOR downpour spoilers, specifically for the rivulet and the spearmaster campaigns so im just gonna put it under a readmore

in the rivulets campaign, when asking the rivulet to do one last thing for him, pebbles calls moon "an old friend" himself (in fact thats what the achievement for finishing rivulet is called). moon very explicitly sees pebbles as a younger brother and expresses this at the end of the campaign. and in the spearmasters campaign theres those satellite things that show iterator logs when touched, and we get to see 2 iterators (from what i assume to be a neighboring group) gossiping about pebs, one of them brings up the fact that pebs was built near moon and the other asks "Isn't she his senior enough to the point where she calls herself 'Big Sis Moon'?". Its much more explicit that moon views her group as her younger siblings but pebs still calls her an old friend of his regardless!

last of all, someone said this in the tags of my post but looking at the lore pearl convo between pebbles and suns as well as the one between suns and wind really gives suns the impression of an older sibling, at least it does to me. also, back to those satellites in the spearmasters campaign, suns says that pebbles always looked up to them and they never took that lightly. srs is someone pebbles considers close because he looks up to him!

I don't think I've had any friends cut off since the Big One back in 2020, so I'll talk about what happened there

So this ex friend of mine(went by Soft for a little while, and they're blocked and never knew this account so idc) was a friend of my fiance's. Like, close enough to call himself (fiance)'s little brother. When R and I started dating, Soft and their partner got very close to me and we talked like, constantly for several years. they were both very hyper and required so much attention, I think they took up more time than I actually had with R.

We were both figuring out wtf was going on around the same time, and both separately came to the conclusion of Dee Eye Dee and came out to eachother a while later. I dont really doubt them because it made a lot of sense for them(but i do doubt their partner who later conveniently had all the oc shipping matches to their partner's alters who presented as OCs as well >> they tried to get me to validate them about not dissociating and bleh).

anyway. Obviously our parts got a bit close. Soft's protector part would call me Rabbit Ears affectionately and I thought they respected my parts as much as I did theirs. Turns out they were really disrespectful to both Nette and Mr. H and treated them both like a joke so... first red flags

the dee eye dee stuff isnt super important, but thats how close I was to them. To most I Tell, its just 'this is a memory disorder i have, sorry' and thats that. No one else gets close to my parts but R and obviously now, Special Friends here(<3)

they stopped talking to me for about a week. Nothing at all ever seemingly went down. they never voiced any complaints. Never brought anything up to R, nothin at all. As far as we both knew, we were friends right up untilll

they just out of the blue blocked us on every single thing and sent a last message along the lines of "thanks for being my friend but never contact me again". Couldnt say goodbye, nothin.

they were part of a friend group as well and suddenly cut them off because of the friend groups association with me and R. Rightfully upset, one of the people tried to message them and ask wtf, they thought they were friends, ect

so their fucking partner came and attacked R, assuming he was spreading shit, getting outright nasty. We were both just trying to process it quietly and out of the public and didn't talk to anyone about it tho. I got shitty and threatened them to get the fuck away, and we left it at that

Later Soft posted a weird 'don't interact with me if you support/are friends with R and Bunny'. I lost another friend because they chose this shitty friend's ~mental health~ over us

anyway. I never ever got answers. I was so thoroughly upset that I was in a constant state of hyperarousal for 6 months straight. Finally Taiga(the part who holds all the abandonment) settled down into dormancy because the feelings just wouldn't go away. And thats the reason we switched hosts from Bunny-Taiga to Bunny-Dosy ;<;

im finally to a point where I dont literally wish theyd die anymore, just stay the fuck away and dont ever say a damn thing about me or my fiance again

When something with my family Happens. Like when its a violent night or one-two-skip-a-few and I've suddenly given mom $300 again. I have sooooo much shame that I'm still here, and no matter how much self-care and growth, I can't stop falling into my old coping skills. I feel like too, the better I feel, the greater the fall :(

theres so so soo much shame around just going submissive to my mother, its insane. I'm bracing myself to be bullied into worshipping her again for mothers day and I'm scared of what my loved ones will think if I fail to keep myself safe from it :(

theres no harder dissociation between telling my friends whats happening and them going 'thats not okay'. it hurts, almost, how hard I rip myself away and backtrack. I mean its very healing when they can see past my denial bs, but it hurts too

ive been having a lot of thoughts recently...

i had this group of friends from middle school to end of freshman year. we had a falling out at the end of freshmen year and i havent really spoken with them since, aside from a few months the following year, and theres one i really want to reach out to. they never did anything personal to hurt me, and while i do remember not getting along with them a couple of times, they only seemingly stopped being my friend along when everyone else did. there was one that i did reach out to, but they never responded. i do wish they and i were still friends, and i acknowledge i wasnt the best friend to them, but i recognize that there may have been things i may not remember that i did to harm them in some way. or maybe they were on the fence and just left when everyone else did. (this is a different person than the first paragraph) im fine with them not responding, i just...wish things had been different i suppose

i dont want to reach out to the second one again because i dont want to bother them (tho i did send it i think 3 years ago now so maybe they feel a little different? not gonna take that chance tho.) I kinda want to reach out to the first one because when i reconnected with them for a time the next year, they actually really welcomed me back. even tho it didnt last, im thankful for that.

i had these two people in particular blocked for some time. the first one i just unblocked a few days ago, and the other one i unblocked when i sent them the message. there are a few others in that group i wont unblock, but this isnt about them.

i also randomly developed a crush on one of my online friends i met thru some irl friends, but thats since faded (thankfully.)

course now im worried one of them will find this and share it to them but this is the first time ive gone in depth anywhere online about it, and its tumblr so really is the one person whos on here going to find this post? probably not.

i feel that i may be very paranoid and i think they think of me as often as i think of them, which when it all went down was constant, but has since shifted to like a week every 6 months where i really want to reconcile with these two people.

plus most of this happened almost 6 years ago so like idk. hopefully none of them will find it, and if they somehow do...god i hope theyre nice.
