There were only two things that Ken feared after beginning his new life in the Real World:

One is the mortality of humans, as Barbie told him all about how fragile their lives were and the two paths they were given: either growing old and dying peacefully in their beds, or some terrible occurrence cutting it short long before their time on this earth was up.

The second was spiders.

He especially hated the spiders.

You only recently discovered he had that fear after finding one of those 8-legged critters in your house--or more specifically in his room, where he came barreling out from as though he accidentally set something on fire.

At first, you thought he really did start a fire until he dragged you back into there, begging you to get rid of the "strange beast".

You had no clue what he could possibly be referring to....and then he pointed to the corner, where a little cellar spider sat completely unbothered, weaving its web.

In that moment, you realized you may have turned him arachnophobic, considering you did show him one insect-themed horror movie this past Halloween. He kept freaking out over it potentially growing horse-sized or injecting venom into his bloodstream when he was asleep.

But despite you assuring him neither of those things could happen (and insisting that the spider was more afraid of him), Ken refused to go into the room until it was gone.

You find it hard to fathom that this same doll who led an entire revolt, came to terms with his own identity crisis, and bravely made the transition to humanity....was totally inconsolable in the presence of a tiny bug.

Then again, maybe showing him that movie--and allowing Barbie to explain why arachnophobia was among the top fears humans had--was a huge mistake.

Regardless, you made it your mission to get rid of the critter.

Oddly enough Ken insisted that you didn't actually kill it, but you found you it sweet that he valued its life despite it scaring the shit out of him. So you contained it in a cup, putting a napkin underneath it before releasing it outside.

After that, you mentioned how most people usually killed spiders and other pests that invaded their home.

He looked wildly uncomfortable at that fact, before he began talking about some rather... concerning things: like if the spider knew how short its lifespan was, how easily it could have been crushed, if it feared death or if it was even aware of it at all-

Before he could derail and start rambling about death itself too much, you stopped him, asking if he was feeling alright.

And he went quiet for a moment, before smiling and giving you a kiss, reassuring you he felt better.

Yet even as he left the room, he still appeared awful tense.

It was that day where you worried that it's more than just spiders he feared..

"Babe, what's wrong? Are you sick??"

"...unfortunately, but it's nothing serious. Just a stupid cold I caught at work." Sighing tiredly, you sat up in bed, seeing Ken walk into the room.

He looked nothing short of horrified at how drained and exhausted you sounded this morning. "A-Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I don't want you to catch anything, so I'm sorry...but no kisses today."

"Then..what about tomorrow?"

You just rolled your eyes, drinking some tea you made for yourself. "Maybe, but we'll see if I wake up."

Although it was meant to be a little joke, your foggy brain forgot how seriously the blond often took jokes, and he rushed to your bedside, kneeling down.

His eyes were wide as he took your hand. "If you wake up??? Are you dying??"

Putting down your mug, you sighed once more, trying to figure out a way to remedy this situation before you upset him too much. "No....I mean I just feel like I'm dying, but.." You paused, noticing the tears coming to his eyes. "Ken?"

Now that he was a lot closer, you could see the utterly terrified look on his face--as though you kicked a puppy right in front of him.

Yep, it was already much too late. He was upset.

"I-I know tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone, but you have to get through this, [y/n]! Please..I can't lose you, too...not when you've done so much to help me." He was extremely close to crying, his lips trembling.

Your heart sunk as you placed a hand ober his own. "Oh honey, I was only kidding around when I say-"

"Why do humans joke about death so much? Don't they know y-you...you can't come back? That they have such short lives?? O-Or sure, some believe you can be reincarnated but that doesn't make it any-"

At this point, he was just blubbering nonsense, so you took him into your arms. And for a moment he fell silent, before burying his face into your chest, trying to calm himself down. "I-I'm sorry.."

"No, no..I'm sorry. You're right..I shouldn't be joking about death around you." Frowning slightly, you stroked his hair. "I promise I'm not dying. Not today, or tomorrow..not for a long, long time. This cold will pass and I'll feel better soon enough."

".....a-are these the irrepressible thoughts of death Barbie had?"

'Oh.'

It finally hit you.

He was going through the same thing she once did.

"Ken.." You had him sit up so you could see his face. Aside from it being a little red and his eyes puffy and watery, there were tear marks trailing down to the stubble that had formed along his jaw and chin. "Why didn't you tell me you were having those thoughts?"

Sniffling, he just shrugged. "I don't know. And... I don't know why I'm thinking them. Barbie could blame it on somebody who was playing with her, but...I can't. Because I'm not a doll anymore, I'm human....a-and...those were my thoughts alone." He shuddered, terrified at that realization. "I guess I just..didn't wanna scare you, b-but obviously it's too late for that..."

A small chuckle came from him, although it dissolved into a small sob as he wiped his eyes. "S-Sorry, I....I want these thoughts to just pass already."

"And they will." You nodded, squeezing his free hand reassuringly. "It looks like you're just experiencing them for the first time, and that's okay. They won't be all you think about. And you don't have to apologize for how you're feeling, as long as you're honest with me."

"Th-Thank you.." He sniffled. "I should be taking care of you, not the other way around. Do you need you anything? More tea? Meds? Anything at all?"

You smiled fondly, leaning forward to kiss him on the forehead. "You're all I need right now, sweetheart."

That response seemed to bring Ken's giddy old self back, as he smiled bashfully in return. He melted back into your arms when you wrapped them around him, and he listened to your heartbeat: the only assurance he needed that you were still living.

Eventually...those thoughts of death did pass him by, and he felt okay again.

I went ice skating again today for the first time in years, and even though I am exhausted now and my legs hurt I had so much fun and I was actually still able to skate pretty well! Very proud of myself for that haha

Also, the Vegas Race... I'll probably be able to watch it, even though it's so goddamn early in the morning and I am so excited because its gonna be such a shitshow!

Pitlane Exit onto the hairpin, cold tyres, almost no corners, that weird sphere thing in the background... It's Gonna be interesting! I just hope noone gets hurt or anything, because I actually do expect half the grid to dnf. Hopefully not any favs though!!

Life has been good to me, I can't believe it's almost December already! Imma give ya Tree life lore ig!! Incoming info dump!!!

So, in my au the Tree of Life chooses it guardians!! It favours immuned shapes A.K.A shapes born with immunity to the corruption cuz it's eaiser to avoid a corrupt shape having the powers. (little fun fact, in the past these shapes were called pure shapes but later scientists found out the immunity wasn't because they were "pure", it was just a gene that gets activate at birth and exists in all shapes excluding born-corrupt. It just activates it rarely).

The chosen warriors get a special mark given by the Treeangle themselves know as the Warrior's Mark. The special mark can appear anywhere on the body. With this mark they can activate the powers of the Treeangle and purify shapes and Plants at anytime. Usually, to use the powers without the mark you'd need a mini treeangle piece but it is one-time use, takes your energy and the power lasts for about 10 minutes. (Some shapes wear the mini treeangle as good luck charms and if someone gives one to someone else it's a sign that Shape or Plant cares abt you! It's typically a friendly gesture!)

The Warrior's Mark also provides a permanent power to the user. Eg. Cyan's is flight with his wings, Circle(need to give em a name lol) has super strength.

The Warrior's Mark can be "retired" by the user in exchanged for a wish that the Tree must grant. The Mark can be revoked too if the Treeangle finds the user no longer worthy.

Thats very neat that the tree chooses the guardians !! If one of the warriors stops being a warrior how long does it take for a new one to be chosen? Or does it just happen immediately- I can imagine it might take some time to find a new shape thats good for the job

Also how many warriors are there? Are there 4 just like in the game itself or is it more/less?

I also like the immunity thing ! The only shapes in my au that can have imunity from corruption are the guardians but instead of the guardians being chosen they're just created specifically to be one !

It must be hard being born corrupted though, I feel like all of the uncorrupted shapes would fear them wouldn't they? I find the concept of shapes that are born corrupted really interesting tho ! The corruption in my au is more like a disease tho rather than something shapes are born with

Wow. Just WOW!! Ugh I don’t even where to start with part 8 it was just that good!! I know last part I mentioned I wanted to see Harry’s POV and now that we got it… IM HEARTBROKEN OMG IT FEELS LIKE IM BEING THE ONE IN HIS SHOES! Him calling his MOM and her sending reassuring texts :( omg my everything hurt for him! And then him using that comparison of the left/right hand that was written so well I gasped!

And omg the way she was so smart by leaving clues meant only for him and her note saying she was basically confident that Harry would find her 😭 AND SHE MEMORIZED HIS NUMBER😭 honestly she’s such a real because I can barely remember my own lol and her little note to him Omg😭 at this point I had tears forming!

Now my heart was POUNDING towards the end because of how he was trying to get her back and away from the man! And no matter how painful it was to see how he shot her it was a really smart move! Her saying she would have no one if they killed Harry💔 and then he saying “with you” to having a beautiful life with him💔once again my heart was shattering for the 100th time! And him using all the cute little nicknames 😭😭💔💔

This part though still so beautiful written legit ever was so beautifully written even if it was mainly angst but I feel like angst/conflict is always needed in order to move the story and I always think you do it so well! They way you write every emotion is so AMAZING like you describing heartbreak or love or anger or anything you do it so well! This chapter felt like something I was watching and yet living in it, if that makes any sense lol THIS WAS GREAT AND I NEED TO KNOW NOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! I LOVE IT CANT WAIT FOR MORE!!!-💜

I spent a solid 10 mins on my right and left analogy and I thought it was bad and this is the second compliment I’ve gotten on it 😭😭😭 I’m glad you liked it 💕

All the hints I left throughout the last 7 chapters I tried SO hard to keep all this stuff a secret from everyone it was exhausting HAHHAHA I think I didn’t emphasize how smart she is but a biochemist she’s like probably way more brilliant than I ever could be so I hope it came across that she really was like three steps ahead of everyone.

his weapons r chainsaws why the fuck not. im giving him my old oc piper’s ability of dualwielding chainsaws bc hes been through enough shit i think he deserves it. he can either summon one big two-handed chainsaw or two single-hand-sized ones and just start ripping away. i guess his wish would give him some power but idk what itd be. maybe every time blood gets on his weapons it heals him? he can still feel pain and get exhausted but as long as theres blood on his blade he can keep going without being knocked out lol. idk. fuck ill think of a better one w time 💔 he is the one going thru the emo phase

his witch. is the moth witch. ok. so id love for it to be this fucker. cuz theme of death and his favorite insect. but unfortunately a bitch has got to be creative 🙄

so instead his labyrinth is probably a big gallery/collage maze of a pinned butterfly and moth collection. n his familiars are mini butterfly-headed guys that kinda look like the fucker pictured above but like theyre schoolgirls w 4 big eyes on each of their wings. they wield big nails of varying types (so like they range from actual entomology pins to, like, metal construction nails) and try to pin u for the collection. theres also probably giant flying centi/millipedes that offer u a ride but usually end up dropping u off in a place farther from the center than before, but let u see the maze from above for a brief while

its like a big hedgemaze made out of boards upon boards of dead butterflies! 😦 and when you do reach the middle skuggy’s witch busts from their cocoon and is this towering indecipherable mass of different insects mishmashed together in the vague shape of a human with kind of a big cape that act like wings (but it cant fly, just flutter to blow a gust). a bunch of moths kinda swarm around it and obscure its face, but out of its head protrude like. a fuckton of different blades. like some are swords, some are cooking knives, some are giant entomology pins or sewing needles n shit. when you stab it, more moths pour out instead of blood! so its like farrows personal nightmare

UMMM because i love gimmicks in bossfights. its holding up this big scale of justice weighing on its back that keep the swarming moths calmed and only swarmed around it, but when it lets go of one side of the scale to pull a weapon from its head and attack the scale tips and the moths begin swarming the attackers instead! however the scale tipping weighs on him and makes it harder for him to hit, so hes just clumsily swinging at you. if you manage to get the scales to tip in the opposite direction, he will still swing at u, but the moths will start trying to hurt him instead. so its kinda like, either keep this scale untipped as much as possible, or tip it in a way that favors you, or fuck, just cut off one arm so when he lets go of the other side to fight the scales just balance themselves out in ur favor. either way his weak spot is in his face which is usually obscured by the moths, you can climb the scales when they’re tipped to reach it! idk whats under the moths. maybe a fuckin knifeblock. who knows. definitely not a human face though

anyways, after that nightmare of a witch, you will probably never want to see an insect ever again. its a bit easy once u get the hang of how its scales work, but for someone scared of bugs its probably the worst thing in the world

i really really love swimming, music, and dance. they’re all my passion even though i can only swim during summers. i would certainly be (way more) crazy if i didn’t have any music to listen to throughout the day. also, i have an eye for fashion. i really love elegant and flamboyant outfits with fancy silks and shiny jewelry. i’m all over displays of beautiful art like that! any kind of high class display like that i’m into, i love it all! speaking of art, i also love to draw! i study anatomy as it helps me with my dance. :D

for personality wise, i’d like to say i come off as very welcoming and kind. i aim to be the most comforting and warm person you know when you meet me, always being available should anyone need anything. i enjoy helping and taking care of the people i love, it puts me at ease to know they can rely on me, and it sort of bleeds into an overprotectiveness i have over friends and family that i value. however, aside from that, i am actually kind of moody. i can get an annoyed attitude very fast, and can get hotheaded with the snap of a finger. i also tend to jump to conclusions alot before i think with situations, which isn’t the best thing ever lol. i’m very sensitive & an over thinker as well, so all these traits with those isn’t the best, either. aside from that i try to also come off as very down to earth— even sometimes with my quick conclusions i use the logical side of my brain to center myself or help others. i’m also very shy, quiet, and timid, and tend to keep to myself and mind my own business before i bother anyone else. also, my energy fluctuates a lot as well, and i can go from exhausted and needing a nap to running around three minutes later just from laying down in that time. idk, im weird. but! i am also quite simplish— so even though i’m eager to help and love, sometimes that’s quite the feat bc i can have a hard time grasping/understanding a situation or anything at all sometimes. so yea💔
